i will personally never forgive yenpress for botching the translation because now it's impossible to find chuuya / dazai / yosano takes that do not start with "first off, mori sucks and he's a predator"

Every day.Every day I'm subjected to "cute" or "funny" videos of pet birds interacting with cats or dogs or ferrets. For the last time internet people:

These.Are.NOT. Cute.

No matter how trained the animals are or how "friendly" the interactions look to humans-and they frequently are not- anyone who's making these is actively endangering their bird- and possibly also their dog/cat for likes.

Cats and dogs are not only predators, they can easily kill a bird through normal play behaviours as well- one hard smack from a cat can be enough to kill or severely injure something like a budgie or a cockatiel.and I'm not even talking about things like play biting here.

And even the friendliest best trained most passive cat might not be able to resist their natural instinct to chase birds. One slip up is enough.

On top of that cat saliva contains bacteria that are toxic to birds.

Please stop. Don't like these, don't reblog these, and most definitely do not make these.

Sincerely, someone who owns both birds and cats.

There's a pattern in bsd of two climaxes: the first, which is resolved by either Chuuya or Kunikida and Dazai, and the second, which is (i) more thematically comprehensive and (ii) resolved by Akutagawa and Atsushi. For examples, see: 55 Minutes, the Guild arc, Dead Apple, and the Cannibalism arc.

The most recent chapter and the anime s5 finale both indicate this arc's climax is following that same pattern, so I'm bewildered by the seeming presumption that Dazai is going to have to "fix" what's happened or that Atsushi is a placeholder until Dazai can reach them from France.

Sav'kat, The Black Hound

One of the best known artficier across the Yautja clans. His skills in manufacturing and inventing weapons are unmatched, coming only second to his talent as an archer. He never misses his target. He breeds and trains the best Hunting Hounds on the market as well, but he rarely gives them away unless you follow his rules (which often involve threats of death if anything happens to his precious beasts). Many Bad Bloods have tried to steal from his shop, but none survive to tell the tale. Despite his reputation, he prefers to spend his days working and studying the crafts in peace and quiet with his cherised hounds keeping him company.

(Keep an eye on this big blue guy as he may be revelant on the lore of my current fic Songbirds and Tigers. But it's not my place to spoil.)

(That's not even mentioning his potential solo fic and all....)

Naru and Sarii (fan art)

A quick sketch of Amber Midthunder's character from the 2022 movie Prey (plus her dog), that I did on a lazy Sunday night after binging a bunch of online content related to the Predator franchise.

It may be a prequel installment for an action-horror-scifi franchise, but Prey has some really darn good representation of Comanche culture, and I was particular enthralled by effort and attention-to-detail that was highlighted in interviews and behind-the-scenes videos I was consuming on YouTube. Producer Jhane Myers put a lot of creative work in to get things right, and I think it's great seeing that indigenous persons were for once exercising creative control of a movie about them.

Btw, I definitely dig Sarii the dog too :)

in werewolf movies whenever they find the body of a victim they always have like a couple scratches and maybe some bites taken out of the torso or something you all are MISSING THE POINT. this creature is the ungodly amalgam of two of the most renowned predators on the planet and it is cursed with insatiable bloodlust and unholy hunger. you should be finding SKELETONS OUT HERE. these ppl should be BONES and HAIR and NOTHING ELSE. no self respecting werewolf is going to leave food on the table please be SERIOUS!!!!!
