This Novel...Isn't Doing Well (A SAGAU drabble)
“Why isn’t my latest series selling well? You’d think my audience would give it a chance after reading Onibudou…!”
You took a sip of rainbow aster. “It’s because it’s unfamiliar. The market sells what’s currently popular. Those that go off the beaten path will face more trials compared to the rest.”
“...I’m sorry Your Grace, but you lost me after ‘trials’.”
“My point is: It’ll be generally difficult to sell an original creation if the audience isn’t familiar with them. So you have to slowly introduce them first until the audience does!”
“After this, I’ll help you with that part.”

What would Quaritch’s reaction be to Spider assuming he’s just as bad as him because he took a human life (in self-defence)
Somehow, Quaritch dragged himself closer to Cupcake. Spider was numb to anything else that happened. He made his choice, now he had to live with it.
"Let's move out-" Quaritch croaked through damaged lungs.
"You're serious?" Spider stated, unmoving. The ocean rushed up behind him in a wave that crashed down over his shins. He grounded himself in the sensation.
Quaritch gazed at him for a long moment, confusion combining with impatience on his face. Suddenly, he just looked unsure. "Get on."
It was supposed to be an order. But Spider knew Quaritch well enough by now to hear how the authority failed in his voice. He smirked, taking a step back. All he knew was that he needed to find the Sullys.
"Spider-"
Overwhelmed by the stupidity of his father's beliefs, Spider stopped just before he was about to jump into the ocean. "You think I wanna be around you?" he asked, frowning even as his disbelieving smirk spread. "You think we belong together? You're a monster..."
"So are you!" His father's retort cut deep.
Spider took a step back.
His father continued. "You wrecked that ship. All those men... and women. Dead because you drowned them. We're not different. It's war."
"No, we're not different," Spider agreed quietly. "You believe in Hell, right? I guess I'll see you there."
With that, Spider turned his back to the struggling recom and dived as far as he could from the rock.

alright. know what? with Secrets of the Obscure right around the corner and plenty of new Mists-related sky island settings coming with it, I'll just bite the bullet and interest-check a little something I've been turning in my head for a long, long while.
would YOU be interested in a Mists-based GW2 roleplay guild that uses a lore compliant multiverse system to allow canon, canon-adjacent, lore-breaking, and otherwise 'contradictory' muses to coexist in the same setting?
simply put: every writer's cast would be set in their own self-contained universe. as such, everyone could bring whatever muses they want with their own personal headcanons, and no one could dictate what is or isn't canon for anyone else. so long as your muses are GW2-based, you're good to go! bring your Commanders, bring your canon-divergent OCs, bring your canon muses-- and yes, even the ones that are 'supposed' to be dead. who can say what might have happened in a strange world far across the Mists, after all?
neutral hubs and in-character safety guardrails would be in place to keep all muses on a relatively even playing field regardless of their power, history, and prestige, too. play hardball if you like, but it might not end quite the way you'd hope. the main rule would be to maintain good OOC etiquette at all times: no godmodding, no metagaming, no theft, don't blend IC and OOC, and so-on.
if that sounds like something you might have interest in, please interact with this post! and if you've got questions or concerns, I'd love to hear them; feel free to send an ask or a DM, or just reply to this post!

📩 Simblr question of the day: It's time to appreciate the small things! What's a small detail from one of your posts that you love? Could be a small tattoo on a sim, specific clutter in a sims' room, a little detail in a render or screenshot, whatever is applicable to you
(p.s. I've been scouring simblr, and I've noticed people don't like how picky SQOTD feels, so please! Share around SQOTD asks, anon or not, I'm only one person and can't find and ask every person on simblr ~ 💛)
oh this is fun! i have a few!
in standstill, breanna is almost always seen wearing red, and varying shades of white.
and in the scene where breanna and vladislaus first meet, she's wearing a white shirt that references water, which in itself is a reference to vladislaus's backstory, which has something to do with water. hasn't been discussed yet but it will be later!
vladislaus and breanna also have a shared bird motif! but they're executed in different ways.
1st picture is the first time vladislaus is mentioned to breanna, w/ a picture of birds in a cage. 2nd picture is during breanna's nightmare where one bird flies away while the other is left to die.
hehe thanks for the fun question! 😁

porridge for champions (only)
you gotta prepare some of this the night before, so that the phytase enzyme in the buckwheat can get to work on the phytic acid in the oats to release the minerals and make them bioavailable and generally make all of this easier to digest and stuff.
combine the following in a jar or saucepan and mix it up:
oat flakes, however much you want to eat idk. you can play with the oats-to-water ratio to make more of a dry/fluffy or a wet/smooth porridge. the range is around 40-110 grams for one portion, depending on what you're going for. a tablespoon of oats is about 10g
½-2 tbsp of buckwheat -- i use raw crushed groats. less processed = richer in enzymes. crushed is a good balance between cooking time and enzyme content, i think
1-2 tbsp sunflower seeds, chia seeds or pumpkin seeds for extra nutrients, variety, texture :) (optional)
pinch of salt
water - soak em. enough to cover the oats etc + a lil extra bc they soak it up and expand. NB if you want dry/fluffy porridge then err on the side of less water, ie just enough to cover the stuff. this is part of why i use a saucepan to soak, cuz it takes less water to do this = fluffier porridge.
cover with a lid and leave at room temperature overnight.
cooking: add some fat. i love using fatty coconut milk or just coconut oil, or goats milk butter or even some kind of animal fat. i turn the heat to medium-high at first to get it all hot while mixing it, and then i leave it on low for a while. takes like 30 minutes or so
completely optional, i usually add some of these b4 i start cooking:
plain protein powder (im a fan of hemp protein personally)
maca and/or ashwagandha
matcha powder - ive really been liking this lately
collagen supplement (if u have an autoimmune condition pls look into healing gut permeability btw. even if u dont have digestive problems. ily)
carob powder my beloved. or cocoa powder. or both
or if u like savory porridge: curry powder, smoked paprika, leek, herbs, pepper
egg
& some possible toppings:
any kinda nutt butter u like <33
stick some chocolate in there and watch it melt
jam. classic
honey and cinnamon
coconut sugar syrup
berries, frozen or fresh
some reading materials btw:

I’m tickled pink that there are people worried Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor won’t be kissing each other in Challengers. Like, lol I’m sorry, is this your first Luca Guadagnino film? Every film he directs has at least SOMETHING queer about it. Even if the characters themselves aren’t explicitly so, there are always elements of fluid sexuality, homoeroticism, or gender expression in his films (Bones and All, Suspiria 2018 spring to mind). Feels, uh, very obvious that Challengers is going to explore whatever is going on between those guys and confirm that it’s def not anything straight!
