in germany, chris evan‘s roles (including steve) are mostly voiced by dennis schmidt-foß, but as johnny storm he‘s voiced by benedikt weber, and it made for a really cool moment during dp&w. bc wade’s super convinced that he‘s steve, but all the german people who watch the german dub of marvel movies religiously are already like huh??? bc that‘s NOT steve rogers‘ voice, and then when it’s revealed that he‘s actually johnny, wade‘s like "ah yeah, i should’ve known from the voice". and idk, it’s not hilarious or anything, but it just made me soo happy that they used wade‘s 4th wall breaks differently in different languages. just felt the need to share this

The contradictions in Eddie Diaz have sucked me in, I'll admit. He gives great insightful life and love advice that he takes none of. He's former Texan army with a silver star— an all American hero — but only enlisted to run from his responsibilities. He's a Paramedic who joined Fight Club. A self-sacrificing single father who somehow leads a double life as a high roller. He has to be dragged into any new romance kicking and bitching but once there will pleasantly play house (right up until he does something dramatic to blow it all up). He obviously has commitment issues but has no problem emotionally and legally committing to his best friend. He doesn't believe in religious indoctrination or the supernatural but is very Catholic. He's Latinx and speaks fluent Spanish yet claims to watch Telenovelas for no reason other than to 'practice Spanish'. He's a regular, mentally stable guy. He's the least normal of them all, nor is he anywhere close to mentally stable.

“ooh, you smell good.” chris inhales deep, the smell of your coconut lotion strong since you just applied it. he’s curled his arms around you, hugging you from behind as he sneaks a little kiss against the side of your neck. “you gonna share?”

its silly, but its the moments like this that you live for the most. sharing lotion with your partner, who thanks you and rubs it into his own skin with this giddy grin on his face. he steals so much of your things since moving in together: body wash, lotion, shampoo… all things he happily replaces without complaint.

“sometimes i think you’re obsessed with smelling like me,” you muse aloud while you continue to get ready for bed.

he says nothing at first. “you…” he pokes your back for emphasis, “you stole my cologne first.” he’s still grinning when you look at him, confident he’s won whatever conversation this is.

because he’s right: you ‘stole’ (was happily given upon request, actually) a bottle of his cologne when you had to go away for a work thing, before the two of you started living together.

“so,” he says, “this is just payback.”

you just roll your eyes. this just means war from here on out: you’ll start stealing his things, too. just to get him back and see that cheeky smile.
