The tag your polyamorous ocs just got me really going about Rhyst & Savosta again - two beans who have a surprising amount of lore in my head for how little I've actually talked or written about them.

SO. Kira x Rhyst & Savosta is absolutely a thing that transpires by their total reunion post-KOTXX. And I do think, at least at the moment, that that's where this polycule becomes an official thing, even though these three are running in each other's circles far earlier.

Short version, Rhyst & Savosta have been running into each other circa about Ilum? They meet tackling Republic and Imperial objectives, respectively, and decide cooperation benefits them both. Rhyst with Kira and Savosta with Quinn take on Darth Serevin, steal the stealth fighter, and eventually confront Malgus together. Rhyst and Savosta eventually go from tepid enemies based on circumstance to allies and then friends by the era of the Coalition forces and vow to stop Vitiate - together because the old bastard has taken enough from them (and the galaxy, reminds Rhyst).

Kira and Rhyst develop something of a relationship during the class story that's... rather experimental. Kira has a bit more experience in the matter than Rhyst and is the more outgoing of the two; they bond first as friends and when the suggestion comes up that maybe they try something else.., Rhyst trusts her enough to take the lead and give it a go. Given the whole... tail end of the Knight storyline and the strain that puts on Rhyst, he does ask to sort of... take it slow a while. Rhyst needs a lot more time to put himself back together and reorient his priorities and his beliefs, so they don't end up married - and, fun fact, I had to restart that cutscene a couple times because left to his own devices, Rhyst would not be the one to ask. He wasn't going to just take the hint, not at that time, at least. But I wanted them to get the romance reunion, so here we are.

(The little bow, however, is incredibly fitting and supremely endearing.)

SO. Now that we have the individual elements at least on the board, how do they all end up in a consensual cuddle pile?

Largely because Kira and Savosta are both on the same page about how important Rhyst is to them.

Individually, Savosta has no relationship experience - and generally little interest in changing that. He'd not identify by any of the involved labels, but he's a sex-neutral flavor of the asexual spectrum and just... disinterested, generally speaking, in both sexual and romantic relationships.

That said, Rhyst comes to mean quite a lot to him and they grow very close. Rhyst expresses some interest that Savosta is agreeable to exploring and... the rest was sort of history for them. They never add any new definitions to their relationship; they are very close friends and they don't foresee anything changing that.

Savosta is ultimately the one by his side through the events of KOTXX and their relationship continues in this manner throughout that period. When Kira returns, Savosta's expectations of their relationship don't really change. It's whatever Rhyst wants - he's just been happy to help his friend. So, when Rhyst suggests discussing it as a group, Savosta's on board. And I imagine Kira knew something of how close the two were previously, so it's not exactly a surprise when they disclose the other elements of their relationship. Kira and Rhyst still identify as partners and the trio can often be found sandwiched together on a couch with Rhyst sprawled between them. Kira and Savosta will occasionally end up beside each other, but Savosta never ends up in the middle of their heaps because it'd be a bit of a sensory overload for him - too much touching.

Kira and Savosta's relationship within the dynamic is one of friendship and keeping their eyes on Rhyst, trying to do what they can to balance what the galaxy has over-demanded of him. Rhyst has a terrible time saying no when it comes to his duties and is, unfortunately, rather good at masking just how self-sacrificing he can be because of that guard of duty and service. Savosta and Kira also both have their weaknesses in that each of them have ways they sort of idolize Rhyst and they can occasionally accidentally end up talking over Rhyst's own concerns in eagerness to assuage any fears or worries they think he might have. But that's... sort of it's own entire ramble to get into about Rhyst's complicated relationship with being a Jedi after having his faith in the Republic somewhat strained after the repeated failures of the various weapons projects of chapter 1 and the Council's decision to move forward with the strike team efforts despite voiced concerns. It's a whole... deal about the unwavering faith people tend to place on Rhyst without necessarily verifying how he's actually doing beneath the image of all the accolades they've awarded him.

Anyway. As far as their polycule goes, it's generally full of cuddle piles and Kira playing with Rhyst's hair while he falls asleep against Savosta. They're two of the people Rhyst trusts most and that have been there for him through some of his toughest times and each of them has their valuable insights for his support - Kira tends to bring a lightness to him he sometimes loses track of and Savosta has strong convictions and inspiring dedication. I went down a bit of a rabbit hole earlier today and stumbled across some of the most misguided, mean-spirited, and downright cruel OFMD takes I've ever read. Instead of sharing them and making everyone else miserable, I just want to say:

OFMD and time spent in the fandom have genuinely made my life better.

The characters of Stede and Ed (who are not -- and I can't emphasize this enough -- their real-world counterparts) have helped me come to terms with and accept parts of myself that I previously hated.

OFMD is earnest and sweet and silly. It's full of love and fun, and it's almost impossible to watch it and not feel a little better.

The show's diversity is incredible and unlike anything I've been able to find elsewhere. Even shows that have similar amounts of onscreen diversity fall short behind the scenes and in the writers room.

OFMD's cast and crew are absolutely lovely. Being treated kindly (and even actively embraced!) by the folks who made the show has been a pleasant surprise.

OFMD's fandom has been so, so much kinder than any others I've been in. I'm constantly seeing people uplift and encourage each other, and the fandom has collectively raised at least $50K for charities. How cool is that?

This fandom's art (all forms of art) is incredible. I've never been so spoiled for choice when it comes to well-written fic to read or beautiful artwork to look at.

Ed and Stede are characters of all time. Top tier. Flawed, sympathetic, gentle, bitchy, sweet, unhinged, profoundly in need of therapy and medication. (I'm not saying bupropion would fix Ed or sertraline would help Stede, but I don't think they'd hurt.)

OFMD's supporting cast is unparalleled. Frenchie, Roach, and Fang are my best friends even though I know next to nothing about them. I forget that Mary "the Widow" Bonnet and Spanish Jackie have, like, ten total minutes of screen time each because they're both fully developed people in my head. Zheng Yi Sao and her extended polycule are everything to me and I need their spinoff on my television immediately.

The fandom's not perfect and sometimes I want to pull out my hair when I read meta I disagree with, but the truly bad actors are a minuscule minority. Most fans are kind, supportive, and extremely funny and talented.

I love it here. I don't plan on leaving. Even if OFMD takes a backseat to a new obsession in the future, it will always be a part of me. I'll always come back (I'll never leave).

On the topic of How Do You Handle XYZ Comment, I've always wondered how you handle terrible responses on your toh takes. Like I know the toh fandom doesn't lack piss on the poor reading comprehension and they also really enjoy wildly out of touch takes, but I've never seen any comments on your princess luz stuff of that nature. I'm sure they must be there but maybe I'm too early? But anyway, how do you tend to deal with the "acktually shipping luz and Hunter is incest" and the "ur not a real lesbian because putting amity in a poly ship is lesbian erasure" and the "as a white person kinda sus you make the poc woman an empress" kind of responses? Ones that are technically not hate and maybe if you squint could be from people who aren't inherently trying to do bad but just lack the maturity needed to engage with the internet at large?

this ask made me giggle. honestly, i haven't received as much pushback as you might expect! way less pushback than i expected. in the princess AU, i've gotten a LOT more "this is actually too grotesque for me to stomach" comments than "this is problematic" comments, which is fine. horror-thriller isn't for everyone, those comments do not upset me.

i have had a Few run-ins with bad faith people, whom i mostly block. there's one prolific commenter in toh tumblr fandom who would repeatedly write angry essays on my humor meta posts -- essays that were all about how belos is too evil to be sympathetic and/or about how hunter is a soft gentle boy who shouldn't be jokingly referred to as evil. then they'd go "i can't help my active and conscious decision to type a bunch of rude fucking words and then my active and conscious decision to send those rude fucking words because i'm autistic :(((" around the fourth or fifth time this happened, i was fucking done with that nonsense and finally blocked them. shoulda done it after the first comment tbh!! no more autism exceptions.

as for the rest of it, my main management strategy is to simply.... preempt the bad faith comments?

i had a LOT more unpleasant and conflict-filled fandom experiences when i was in the raven cycle fandom. that was my first exposure to "you can't ship multi-gender polycules if anyone involved is gay" and "queerplatonic het relationships are just heteronormativity shipping that you're trying to get away with." having dealt with those takes before, i've found a few different ways to disarm bad faith readers before they get started.

first is to be super open and honest about my interests. i talk about what i find compelling in different relationships All The Damn Time. it's really hard for anyone to accuse me of only wanting hunter to fuck amity if they've seen, like.... anything i've said about hunter and amity.

same with hunter and luz. the only negative reactions i've really gotten to how they're written in the princess AU is like.... two people being squicked by camila thinking they're romantically involved. i REALLY expected more pushback on the touchyfeely bed sharing stuff, but from what i remember, there's never been Any....? not even from people who consider them siblings.

i expected a lot of pushback on how mean hunter and amity are to each other, since it's taken So much farther than the canon. but it turns out that there's a very large overlap between people who like dark horror AUs and people who like hunter and amity murdering each other. (in a fluffy fic i don't think this characterization would fly Nearly as easily.)

i find that being funny really disarms people, too. when you look at any of my toh meta posts that could be controversial, they're basically all funny. people are a lot more willing to listen to what you have to say if you make them laugh, and it's harder for them to get angry at you.

and then the last thing is that i think i'm in sort of a privileged position in toh fandom. i've written a lot of controversial subjects and relationships and characterizations.... but i've also written some WILDLY popular mainstream fic. and people who like the mainstream fic don't really want to beef with me about differing niche opinions, bc there's a level of respect there. which they might not have for a writer they don't like.

but anyway. when things Do happen, i almost always just block and move on. there are so many people here who get what i'm talking about that there's no need for me to try to convert people who don't, you know??

Happy Day of Visibility for Non-monogamy

Today is Day Of Visibility for Non-monogamy, I am polyamarous, I've written about it a few times in recent days so feel free to ya know search Polyam on my blog and you'll see plenty of writing if you want more but today is gonna be completely personal chat. So strap in for my asexual lesbian polyamarous life.

I personally attempt to be as non hierarchical as possible, I am engaged [and have been] to my Fiancé whom i've dated since I was in Freshmen year of high school so obviously we have tons of history and in these 15 years of love i've never felt like I needed monogamy in my relationship with them. I've dated a set of long distance partners for around 8 years now and I love all of those women and wouldn't replace them for the world, we spend hours and hours every single day talking. I had a recent ex girlfriend whom I almost dated for 2 years before our break up and I have a non traditional subby dommy kinda thing going on with a really sweet girl that's been going on for over a year now.

My Fiancé has been dating another amazing girl who I think is amazing [as a friend] for like 5 years now and she has a boyfriend who is married to another woman but he lives with her. My Girlfriend has been dating another girl who is like one of my best friends ever for a lot of years now too. I have a pretty good relationship with the whole polycule and I am really happy to be able to not just have all this love but to have all this love for my partners. It's super fun to see my partners date and fall in love and explore themselves in new ways, it's fantastic.

I would say my approach is mostly a relationship anarchist style in that I let relationships be what they are as opposed to feeling like a strict line from what interactions with people of particular titles can be. That said when we decide on a title I do take them very seriously and want to respect when a relationship has elevated into something clearly romantic between me and those other people. I love, love but I also understand that I only have so many hours in the day and I want to make sure I am treating everyone well.

Non-Monogamy can be a little bit of work but relationships can be too. At first I was really bad at polyamory, I thought you had to be in a relationship with everyone dating everyone and tried to like force that kind of dynamic which neither of my partners appreciated and they sat me down to clear it up with me that they weren't interested in each other romantically. I also worked to stop comparing people to each other. It had always been that different partners had given had given me different things in my life.

Two years ago I was really sick, like constantly in and out of the hospital sick. During that time I only grew to appreciate my polycule even more. Having my loved ones all in a group chat giving each other updates, having people be awake at different hours so I couldn't be alone and depressed and feeling horrible. I felt so lucky to have so much love and to be showered in that affection all of them trying their best to help take care of me. Honestly, I don't know if my mental health could have been as okay as it was in such a terrible state with that constant affection from everyone.

I hope we can live in a world that becomes more accepting of non monogamy and that we have more rights. My partners matter so deeply to me and I couldn't chose between them. Like a body needs a bunch of different vitamins I need a lot of different love to stay healthy. This is who I am, this is who my heart is, this is me. To every other non monogamous person out there, your not alone, your seen, your loved and we have each other if we don't have anything else.

Gabrielle: my favourite outfit on him is definitely ripped jeans. narrow slices of skin framed by black fabric???? yes plssssss. his favourite outfits on me are the frillier dresses in black: she never had a daughter, so I'm her first chance to dress someone up however she likes.

Lestat: he had a brief crop top phase that I was feral about: love me some hip bones leading down into those eighties rocker jeans. He's gone back to the more formal fits, and I love his rings. As for me, he likes when I wear his merchandise because he's narcissistic (affectionate) and he enjoys the reminder that he was the reason I met Gabrielle. He also likes my hunting outfits: we rotate which of us is used as bait and we collaborate on the outfits for our specific taste of the evening.

Armand: it's his turtlenecks for me, I don't know what it is about them, they just murder me. he's never expressed a particular opinion on my clothing, so I'm not sure he cares. he seems to like looking at me nude, either in or out of sexual situations.

Louis: oddly enough, it's a tie between when he's dressed up and completely dressed down: specifically the soft black sweats with no shoes is the Look for me. But also any time he's in a vest I'm down bad. Louis has strong conflicting feelings about my outfits that make it hard to single out a 'favourite,' because he equally seems uncomfortable with the ones he enjoys. But that's very Louis, isn't it?

Daniel: likes the eighties club outfits that I occasionally break out: they're a nostalgia factor for everyone involved. other than that, he prefers that I keep covered, for everyone's sakes, thank you. I think he likes my long dresses with the bare feet for the whimsy factor: everything important is covered so he can feel comfortable but there's still that hint of over-comfort in the house. I like when he wears his glasses because it means he's trying to work, which means it's a perfect time to get in the way. I also like when he takes off his glasses while I'm bothering him, because it means I'm getting his full attention.

11- do you create anything to commemorate your relationship with your f/o? tell us about it!

Not yet: it's a new selfship, so it's still settling! I'm thinking of annotating my books, which is something I do when I really like a book. And I'd like to do some selfship journal spreads.

General opinion/How much I care about them: Not one of the characters I spend the Most time thinking about but i love her!! <333 A ship I love: Mileena/Tanya is top tier of course, but I'm also really interested in the potential of Mileena/Frost! Particularly because of some of the intro dialogues in MK11:

Kotal Kahn: I despise you as I did Mileena. Frost: You have problems with strong women? Kotal Kahn: Those who seek stations above their faculty.

Frost: I've never killed a clone. Mileena: Nor have I a construct. Frost: May the best woman win.

Mileena: Kronika has offered me a body like yours. Frost: Don't be a fool. Take it. Mileena: Show me its worth.

Mileena: We're the same, Frost. Frost: Both written off and underestimated. Mileena: Together, we'll surprise them all.

A non-romantic relationship that I love: It may not be the most in character but I love Shao Kahn actually caring about Mileena as a daughter! She didn't ask to be made the way she was, and it seems like really all she wants is love and acceptance. Its no wonder she wants so badly to live up to Shao's expectations of her and follow in his footsteps when he was the first person who didn't immediately reject her as a monster. I also love the idea of Shang Tsung caring about her at least a little in his own way as she's one of his creations, and I'm super interested in the potential of her relationship with Baraka because I love hearing people talk to Mileena (and Baraka for that matter) as an equal, like in these lines:

Baraka: Join us against the Emperor. Mileena: And forever curtsy to my sister? Baraka: Better Kitana's partner than Shao Kahn's slave.

Baraka: You belong with the tribe. Mileena: I belong with my father, Baraka. Baraka: Your blood is ours, not his.

The NOTP: Hmm idk if I have any specific ships that I super hate, I guess I'm not particularly into any ships of her with men, im not a fan of her and baraka as anything but platonic My biggest headcanon about them: I've talked about it already but I really do think she just wants love and acceptance. idk if getting it from the right person/people would be able to turn her "good" at this point, but if anything could it would be that An idea for a fanfiction I would like to write/read about them: Since I mentioned Baraka earlier, I'd LOVE to see a fanfic where (perhaps after Shao Kahn's death) Mileena decides to accept Baraka's invitation to join the Tarkata tribe and when she does she's finally able to find a place where she fits in with people who love and accept her <;3 Something that makes me think of them: I mean she is very Jennifer's Body lol

General opinion/How much I care about them: Similar to Mileena, don't think about him the most but I do love him! too many lol. most notably/ones i would actually consider finishing; some modern AU catradoras and an in-canon catra/entrapta friendship fic. i also wrote like 8k of a sequel to my kyoko/mami/homura angst nonsense and then just Stalled on the last scene and never finished it. also one butterfly soup polycule fic, one bees schnees, and one bernpetrathea. (can you tell i love my polycules <3) there are probably a few heathers & dangan wips lying around too but god only knows lmao

alright i'm a weirdo who writes on my phone so a lot of the time when i'm writing i look like this (pardon the halfassed phone doodle)

24: How do you choose whose POV to write in?

greatly depends. sometimes i just Know i want a scene to be from a certain character's perspective and the other povs just sort of fall into place around it, sometimes i have to sit down and argue w myself about whose pov should be where/during what/etc. when i'm debating it i try to think of it as ''whose perspective would be the most fun to see/write around these events" or "whose perspective would push things forward the best." (specifically the best, not the most) tbh it's never an easy process and i'm almost always second guessing myself a little

43: Is there a trope or idea that you’d really like to write but haven’t yet?

yea one of my spop wips (the catrapta one) is something i've always wanted to write but i just. have not gotten around to actually finishing. it was v silly and basically just entrapta running an experiment on how many straight up cat behaviors catra actually displays. there was a laser pointer involved. even just thinking about it goddd i wish i'd finished it lolol

don't be afraid to skip bits that are giving you trouble or leave little placeholders and come back to them later! too many times i have let myself get stuck on like one word or sentence because i want it to be Perfect before i move on but you Should move on. a lot of the time i find i have a better idea of what i want/what would make the most sense once i've let myself go further ahead

The iwwv au severely lacks the murder aspect, and it's mostly focused on the popular kids who have been cast as the lovers in midsummer. Relationships get messy, potential popular kids polycule, a lot of Shakespeare, some people just don't know how to let go of the characters they've played so perhaps identity crisis

And the bunny au. Well. Christine is inexplicably drawn to the trio in her year who call themselves the Bunnies and things get weird.

They're both things I'll talk about but might not actually write. I don't know if this answers the question but oh well

Nothing I absolutely hate, I don't think. Most things I write are aus or pre/post canon. I like exploring the relationships and aftermath between the characters, specifically the popular kids

Also the amount of times I've seen Jake written as dumb jock dude bro. I like giving them more depth

What made you ship it?

well it TURNS OUT that there's a lot of overlap in Supercorp shippers and Catradora shippers, for some reason. can't imagine why! [puts a blanket over my venn diagram's cage]

so i went a little insane after she-ra came out (you remember) and read about 6k fics, just scrolling through the tag with some filters on & clicking on anything that looked interesting. it was a very interesting time in our lives. a lot of me going "huh? whah?" in call. birth of the scorpia disclaimer.

but eventually i ran out of she-ra fics. and i like... i couldn't stop, you know? and it turns out that some of the best she-ra authors have written a lot of supergirl fics. so it kept coming up when i was on author-specific binges. and i got curious! i'm a curious guy!

and then it turns out they're really cute >:( they're adorable, damn it.

ik i'm never gonna be able to drag you into this hole with me, since you already have a designated CW trainwreck, but if you're ever feeling bored the first one i ever read was really fucking funny and requires zero knowledge of canon. i didn't know alex's pronouns until halfway through bc i'd never heard of her (literally supergirl's sister). initially i clicked on it bc "superhero pretends to date her civilian identity" sounded hysterical but like... kara is so sweet, and so socially inept. and lena is a human disaster who just wants to help. and they both have crippling abandonment issues and no chill whatsoever

What are your favorite things about the ship?

i like that they appreciate each other. the version of them that i've constructed piecemeal from other people's opinions is such that like... they've both been pretty miserable, right? lena watched her mom die when she was like 4 years old and then got adopted by the luthors, kara watched her planet explode & pawned off by clark (who was like 30 years older than he was supposed to be bc of DC bullshit) on some human family and had to pretend to be normal for a decade or so.

and they both hide that pretty well, kara with kindness and lena with unapproachable businesswoman...ness... but they're both immediately fascinated by each other. and they're both sort of genuine with each other, even when they're in 'nice but bumbling civilian' or 'ruthless luthor' mode. so where it gets interesting for me is those moments they reach a mutual understanding of something, or where they trust each other in spite of Every Other Thing.

in like their first meeting lena says she's just a woman trying to make a name for herself outside of her family & asks if they can understand and kara is like "🥺 yeah..." and like they were just kind of fucked from there. sigh. you don't know how good you have it with riverdale polycule man. fuckin CW.

i have many but the one that comes up most often isn't an opinion, it's a fact.

“khap zhao rrip” is fucking nonsense. it does not mean 'i love you'. it's SVO instead of VSO and zhao is a noun why are you even including kyrptahniuo if you're just going to find-and-replace random words.

I try to, and I usually do immediately after I post a fic. (I always end up running behind, though.) I do so because I am genuinely SO grateful to everyone who reads and comments on my stories. Every comment is a gift.

To call it angst is perhaps overselling the yearning happening there, but probably protective measures.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I had to go back and look at fics I've barely even thought about in years, but probably tender is the night, tbh.

No, and tbh the idea of doing so is intimidating as hell, but I'm sure it would be fun.

What do you mean "favorite"? I'm supposed to pick? I can't even pick a current favorite, considering I'm writing a whole polycule of various ships for G&D and I love them all.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I've accepted that my older unfinished works are going to stay that way, but sometimes I do think about The Journey. The end of that fic was going to involve Jinora and Opal leaving the Eastern Air Temple, to be followed by a sequel where they travelled to Zaofu, then the Southern Water Tribe, and then through the Fire Nation. The third story in the series would have brought them to Republic City, where they would establish Air Temple Island. The story as I began it just had too many plot holes, though, and I ended up losing interest in the primary romantic relationship.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think I do a decent job with pacing. It turns out that I'm good at planning out a cohesive narrative that will play out over the course of a series; working out the snags is part of the fun. I like when unnoticed details are given greater/changed meaning or depth later on. (I learned that from @ourimpavidheroine!) Oh and my friends say I write pining well, LOL.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Figuring out plots driven by anything but the characters' emotional beats. (This is why I've written thousands of words of fanfic this year, and simply cannot get an original novel out of the planning stages.) I so wish I could write a complicated political plot, or a mystery, but I think those things are beyond me. Weaving in description alongside dialogue is also tricky for me, I always feel like I fall into using the same phrases over and over.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I don't speak any other languages well enough to do it, but it would be very neat.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Pokemon, *way* back in the day.

20. Favourite fic you’ve ever written?

*gasp* How dare you make me pick just one. I guess it has to be hello, my old heart, though. I just am so proud of that fic. It's not just that it's the kind of thing that I've dreamed of writing for a long while (slowburn, lots of yearning, LONG) but that I managed to do it during a summer where I was struggling with just about everything else in my life. I'm very fond of the world it's set in, and I have so many plans for both prequels and sequels to it.

3. Do you share your fic ideas, or do you keep them to yourself?

In general I'd say I share most fic ideas I have, at least with a few friends on discord who I know are going to be into the relevant fandom or topic at hand. Most recently it was the idea for No Blazing Kin, which came about like this:

Completely without prompting, of course, the main idea/twist just popped into my head and so I had to inflict it on someone immediately. And then I managed to bang out the entire short (by my standards) fic in just four days and inflicted it upon the world.

Plus of course there's the fact that I know that I mainly write very long fics, and I just don't have the time to do 50-200k on every idea I get... so I might as well share, in case someone else wants to pick them up and run with them instead.

13. Do you listen to music while you write? If yes, what have you been listening to recently?

I'm almost always listening to music, whether I'm writing or not. I don't really have a specific "writing mood" playlist or anything, but I might have somewhat conditioned myself into wanting to / being able to write with certain music just by having it on enough while I'm working.

Lately my most common music while writing is a shuffle of the complete works of Brunuhville (bandcamp link), except that by going to the page just now to get the link, I realized there's a brand new album I've never heard of before... from 2018. Maybe not the complete works then, but I'm sure I'll be adding the "new" album soon as well. That's what I get for downloading mp3s ages ago and never checking for updates.

43. Is there a trope or idea that you’d really like to write but haven’t yet?

This is a tricky one. Obviously I'd really like to write the rest of all my unfinished works (and unstarted works later in planned series...) but beyond that I'm not sure.

I do really like complex time travel stuff with stable loops (I know, I know, terminal homestuckbrain) and so far that hasn't made it much into my published fics, just a little in d&d games I've run and this one MLP fic I've had technically "in progress" since 2015. There's a fair bit of time travel in Threading the Needle of Destiny, but only really as a side effect of someone trying to hop between timelines without fully knowing what she's doing.

And of course, there's always new forms of Extreme Lesbianism to write about. I've written girls kissing girls in normal, reasonable ways and situations. I've written plural girls kissing within the same brain and body. I've written horribly codependent identical twin girls kissing on a battlefield amidst hundreds of bodies of those they've killed. I've written a six-girl polycule and soon I'm going to add an AI girl to make it seven. But there's always more you can do. This, too, is yuri.

5: Do you have any works where you refuse to reach a certain relationship landmark, for one reason or another?

Not really. I've never been to a wedding, and I actively hate babies (yes I know I'm a heartless monster lol), so I don't write either of those very much, but otherwise, I think I just kinda do "anything goes". I'm a pantster, not a planner.

9: When you write, do you plan out the stages of a relationship, or just let it flow? Do you have any works where the characters seem to “write themselves”?

Again, pantster, not a planner. Most of my characters really just seem to "write themselves", it's really only the canon ones that give me a hard time.

14: Are there any relationship dynamics/tropes you want to write in the future, but haven’t yet?

Childhood best friends to enemies to lovers is a trope I'm an absolute sucker for (look, I was a Stucky shipper back in its heyday lol), and I also would love to do some "old people in love" stuff.

21: Not all relationships are romantic. What’s your favorite non-romantic relationship that you’ve written about?

The friendship between my OCs Siv and Jay. They're very much "Black Cat and Golden Retriever", a duo that normally wouldn't work but they get along like a house on fire.

29: What’s the most interesting friendship that you’ve written?

The friendship between my OCs Liah, Qiara, and Marie. They are all fundamentally different people, though their shared history of being "othered" for being different is what drew them together. They are also very chaotic and get into many shenanigans (and they end up in a gay polycule, but that's beside the point)

44: What’s your favorite type of relationship to write? What makes it most fun for you?

I like them messy, emotional, and brutally human, bonus points if the characters themselves aren't human. Characters who definitely should bring out the worst in each other, but somehow, they become home to each other. There's just something about writing about people healing and learning to live with each other that is so cathartic to me.
