#tw alcohol #sooooooo I feel nothing lmao #i'm hollow and emotionless and empty #spent all day just wasting and waiting for time to pass #my heart is tired. my soul has been drained.#going to bed and calling it a night to escape this wretched state is an option #but i'm not sleepy in the slightest and i don't want to go lay down #and it's still pretty early #so if i go to bed i'll just be wasting even more time and feeling miserable #and if i fall asleep i'll wake up groggy and sickly and miserable #so me - being a very rational human fully in control of herself - ams seriously considering just getting a bit tipsy to pass time #maybe watch some dumb show to forget about my misery for like an hour or so #i know i shouldn't cause health or whatever #plus i have a meeting at 10am tomorrow and i've been having trouble getting up in the morning #PLUS tomorrow i'm finally gonna meet up with the student's office to discuss my special needs status #and what options I have to not have this school year completely ruin me #oh yeah right this september i applied for and got accepted to have special needs status for mental health reasons!!!!#(my university especializes in psychology and they - on paper - can grant the status to students with chronic mental health #that suffers from a chronic mental illness that's considered very severe that is frequently debilitating)#that significantly affects their academic experience)#both of which are my case. it's not very common tho so I'm fortunate they accepted me for the status!!)#anyway the council was supposed to inform my raging bitch of an advisor that i have the status #so we could write down a schedule that would better fit my needs #thing is she seems to have no idea #and I haven't brought it up yet #because 1.) i don't know how to #and 2.) i'm constantly scared she'll think i'm like. leaning on my status too much or throwing a “pity party” or something #which - objetively speaking - is a bit of a silly thought because my uni has given me the status because (cont.)#they felt it was fair and reasonable and that I have the right to have an uni experience that better fits my needs #BUT THAT'S THE THING LIKE there's this looming feeling in the back of my head that gives me massive imposter syndrome

He helps damian acclimatise to normal life... kinda he is still a fenton and his veiws are skewed by it but he helps a bit

And Danny's enjoying his new life no longer does he have to hide his powers his parents discovered and accepted and he even set up a schedule with his rouges they now have a scheduled time where they can come through the portal and fight

Everything was going great until somehow the bats found out about him and seem to think he needs help form his crazy parents

I wanted to come up w a design and character arc and everything jkvkvk #so I ended up basing her on my personality/looks but taking her into a direction that would fit the game #she's like. me but 'characterized' and a bit exaggerated for the sake of being a character yk #the way she turned out is that she's basically a friendly happy go lucky mage who laughs at her own misery but hides #a deep layer of self loathing underneath all that bc of her curse #having been cursed all her life she believes she's a monster and the sunny personality is a way for her to 'make up for it'#but at the same time she feels like a farse. like she's only luring ppl in to an inevitable demise #and she thinks she's selfish bc despite knowing the danger she poses she still goes out there and puts herself among ppl #bc she craves human connection. even tho she feels guilty for 'indulging' in it #anyway I love the cursed mc concept in this game <3 it's been really interesting to think abt how that would affect someone #also I kept her physical features looking pretty much like mine #bc I wanted to draw myself in a cute way. teehee #but the clothing I was basically thinking like. early game simple clothing that she didn't rlly pick for herself #and maybe later I can have an updated design w something she would actually pick for herself

I feel like Shen Jiu was a "robes with necklines up to the chin, five thousand layers" sort of dresser for sure for any number of choose your tragic backstory reasons (scars, social armor etc) though my headcanon is this man MUST have had wild nerve damage—on top of what childhood malnutrition will do to you, whatever went down at Qiu Manor plus all his Qi deviations have to have toasted his nervous system. All of this is lead up to say I do think a lot about the mass hysteria that must have resulted the first time Shen Yuan got to commission new robes for himself as SQQ. #this was mostly a test run on procreate dream!#its pretty good but it has a LOT of room for improvement #which i know the developers have been working on since the app is still technically in beta!#but hey i did this in like 3 weeks while working a full time job and also working on other art so #its pretty damn powerful software #good shit if you use procreate already!!#literally the biggest flaws rn are a lack of selection tool an undo/redo button and #and the app itself has a tendency to crash or slow down if theres “too much” going on #like i had to delete all but one of the preloaded animations just so the app would run smoother while i worked #so its still very clearly in its early phase but its good and im excited to see what the developers will do with it #ok review over #better call saul #saul goodman #bcs #jimmy mcgill #breaking bad #animation #brba #video #procreate dreams

most useful piece of novel-writing advice i've heard recently: if you're ever stuck on what comes next, just ask yourself what you haven't brought up in a while. is there a character who hasn't been seen in a few chapters? did you offhandedly mention some piece of backstory that could resurface as a subplot? what's going on in your characters' lives that could become relevant again?

i'm drafting with these questions in mind, and now every time i get stuck, i can just be like, "oh, well i guess i didn't resolve that implication from a few chapters ago, let's explore that for a little bit," and usually that gets the ball rolling again.

God forbid a cast of characters be multifaceted and have actual flaws and unpleasant aspects other than "grr angsty hero" and "whoops i'm so clumsy". Sometimes character dynamics and arcs need to be prioritized above "who would i personally be niceys with irl"

Why are ppl scared to call it what it is and say we’re still going thru covid on top of seasonal illness. Like. That’s pretty important right. I was watching the news and they were like oh yeah we have an unprecedented number of flu cases “as well as other sicknesses” without actually saying Covid. No announcement abt vaccinations or masking or anything. Also if I hear someone joking abt “war flashbacks” for mentioning covid I fucking hate u

#source: most of my family members are nurses and it was so bad for one of them they had to be put on a ventilator. in the hospital they #worked at. looking back I think I had a reason to feel a little offput by the shows of support early pandemic #with people tying blue ribbons around trees and lighting signs blue to support healthcare workers #I get that it was supposed to be moral support when we couldn’t do anything but follow health advisories #and it did matter to make them feel uplifted and do something than nothing. im not gonna deny that #but. you can still help now. u know that right. you still have a responsibility here #u can still mask up. u can still get vaxxed and call in sick to avoid infecting others #don’t leave it on healthcare workers to pick up the pieces just because they were doing it before. do u think they had a choice?#nobody likes picking up the slack for someone else and now that we have more tools to do smth couldn’t we just. do it????#im not a virologist but i also feel like continuing to let it get worse by letting more mutations develop #could continue to set us back since this virus is pretty good at fucking us up long term and finding new ways to do that #while there are ppl still researching covid which is STILL A RELATIVELY NEW VIRUS. and studying possible treatment and cures #yapping #vent
