Natsu Harem: Fairy GET! 11/14

Now we're getting to the oneechan's. (人◕ω◕) I saved these for last because they should be obvious.... But let's not get ahead of ourselves. We'll deal with them one at at time, like all the rest~

The first spotlight goes to Ultear Milkovich~ \(人◕ω◕)/

When did they meet?

Officially, Natsu met Ultear on that S-Class Quest to dispel the curse of Galuna Island. (人◕ω◕) At the time, Natsu didn't know it was her. She pulled off her disguise so well that for the longest time, the Dragon Slayer actually believed she was an old man named Zalty~.... Isn't that just cute? (人◕ω◕)

After battling Natsu for a bit, toying around with him.... Ultear wound up with a little trophy with the swelled cheek there, as can be seen. (人◕ω◕) It was delayed, and Ultear-chan was rather miffed about it... But the Dragon Slayer apparently got one good hit in. (人◕ω◕)(人◕ω◕)(人◕ω◕)

Ultear would go on to watch Natsu's progress in the Tower of Heaven incident, as well as report about Oracion Seis making their move to Hades.

Natsu and Ultear would more formally meet on Tenrou Island. ... Where Natsu would assume she was a guy crossdressing as a girl. And get her name mixed up with "Ultimate Milk Sandwich." (人◕ω◕) Now why would he ever think that~...?

Their more proper meeting goes about as well as the first. Natsu tries engaging her in battle, but Ultear is more focused on tracking down and capturing Zeref for Grimoire Heart's goal of the Grand Magic World. ... Or, well. more specifically her desire to go back to a time when she didn't hate her mother. To save her mother from death. (人◕ω◕)

It's honestly very interesting that Ultear and Natsu's fates are intertwined so inextricably. While she did get handed to the Dark Guilds on a silver platter at a young age, her mom would go on to seal away and eventually kill one of Zeref's demons. And Ultear wanted Zeref for her goals. Zeref, who is in fact Zeref Dragneel. It doesn't go as planned, of course. Zeref becomes cross at Grimoire Heart summoning Acnologia to the island; and he'd go on to kill Hades with the Curse of Ankhseram. Moreover, Gray helped Ultear get her head on straight... Although frankly, most of the "work" was done when they ended up in the ocean, where Ultear heard stray memories of her mother; and she rightfully deduced it was the remnants of her mother that melted and became one with the sea.

Regardless, Ultear came to see the error of her ways. She would go on to help restore the Tenrou Tree to help give Fairy Tail back their magic, and then she'd slip away with Meredy... who found out the truth about her childhood home's destruction. Ultear tries taking responsibility for that by killing herself... But Meredy forgives her, wanting Ultear to live.

Ultear and Meredy wouldn't get to see Fairy Tail again until seven years later...

When did they get closer?

As mentioned in the Meredy post... Crime Sorciere approaches the Fairy Tail mages preparing for the Grand Magic Games, hoping to get their help in tracking down a presence similar to Zeref to deal with it. Ultear juices them up with Second Origin... And, well... (人◕ω◕);;;

... Natsu still thinks she's Zalty crossdressing. (人◕ω◕);;; A pity this gag fades away after... But I suppose we can take that to mean Ultear proves to Natsu, leaving no room for doubt, that she is a bonafide woman... (人◕ω◕);;;;;;; What? Don't you remember the hot, raunchy episode where they screwed like monkeys? No...? Aw, well. (人◕ω◕)

Jokes aside... Ultear is more aware of Natsu's true feelings towards Jellal. Especially with how Erza suffers, clinging to the past like she does. Natsu's frustrated, but keeps quiet to keep Erza... "happy". Ultear nudges Meredy into noticing Natsu's depression, figuring Ultear's Maguilty Sense is the best tool for anyone empathizing with Natsu. Ultear herself keeps a polite distance, prioritizing her sister's happiness over her own; Meredy needs friends, considering she's forced into travelling around with Crime Sorciere as a "criminal" since they busted Jellal out of jail so they can all atone.

... It's really too bad for the Time Witch that Natsu never got the memo to leave things be. (人◕ω◕) He picks up on the fact that Meredy was "directed" to him, and more or less deduces Ultear was responsible. They have a private conversation while Meredy plays around with Juvia for a bit - a talk that ends up with Ultear confiding in Natsu that she feels guilty about possessing Jellal as children, and causing so much pain and hardship for all the slaves... Erza included in that.

Natsu doesn't let Ultear drown in her guilt. Jellal was never just a puppet with no free will... He doesn't get a free pass for everything he did, constructing that Tower on the backs of all his "friends" and fellow slaves. Even Natsu could see that Jellal was in control of himself. The most that Ultear's spell did was nudge him into his darker emotions... Which were there already. Jellal was a child, and he was a slave like all of them. A harsh environment like that can stir some very dark, vengeful emotions. All her spell did was "add more fuel to the fire". Jellal was a lost soul trapped in his own darkness, and Natsu tried getting the guy to wake up during the Tower of Heaven conflict... But seeing him now, Jellal's so down on himself. He's not making a real effort to atone like Ultear and Meredy; he's going though the motions, and they're dragging him around just because they need the extra firepower.

Ultear doesn't dispute Natsu's observations. Crime Sorciere always felt like her brainchild, not Jellal's. She tried making him the leader to let him feel like he was making progress in his atonement... And to deal with her own lingering sense of guilt that she didn't "deserve" to lead the group after all she did... But honestly, it's like Natsu said. This isn't helping Jellal. Getting defeated and freed from Ultear's spell just... shut him down. Ultear doesn't know how to get through to him, and Natsu says there's nothing wrong with that. The fact they tried, gave Jellal these opportunities, Ultear and Meredy aren't obligated to do all the work in "bringing him back". Jellal has to make the effort himself and seize onto this second chance at life with both hands, and until he does Natsu won't get over his resentment toward the man. He won't pity Jellal like Erza does; Gajeel and Laxus made harsh mistakes too, and they've been atoning all this time. Jellal has to accept responsibility for his actions, and just move forward on his own two feet. No one should have to push him along.

After Natsu unloads all of his pent-up frustrations on her, Ultear can appreciate his position. He is being tough on Jellal... But it's what they deserve, after falling so low. Natsu's kinder to her and Meredy because he can see they're truly contrite and making an effort. Jellal's just... given up. This gives Ultear plenty to think about, how to proceed with Jellal from now on. She accepts that she should take on the mantle of Crime Sorciere's leader, and be a little tougher on Jellal, herself. if she doesn't... they probably won't go much of anywhere. And Ultear would rather not drown in guilt again... That's no way to live.

This talk gives her much more insightfulness into Natsu. He's not a complete fight-happy idiot. There's stuff Natsu takes very seriously, and his friends are at the top of that list. He spares Erza's feelings out of compassion... But he privately feels very strongly about the person hurting Erza by keeping her rooted in the past. Natsu's very fascinating to Ultear, and like Meredy she'll keep an eye on him from here on out~...

As the Grand Magic Games go on, Ultear lightens up somewhat. Messing with Jellal while he's on Fairy Tail Team B, on the verge of exposing himself all because he wants to impress Erza. (人◕ω◕) Ultear will have none of that.

While we're talking about differences from the canon, though... (人◕ω◕) Leading up to the Games, Warrod negotiated with the King, the Council, and Makarov to give his "little sprouts" a second chance, now that he's had seven years to reform Oracion Seis, Rusty Rose, and Azuma. (人◕ω◕) It doesn't go quite as planned... The King's initially against letting criminals participate in the Games. But when Raven Tail breaks the rules, well... It opens up an opportunity for Warrod to give his proposal a shot. If his "guild" of Hydra Roots manages to make a comeback and win the games, they can be pardoned and allowed to go free. ... If they lose - more specifically, if Fairy Tail performs better than them... Then they will join Fairy Tail. ... And still be pardoned. (人◕ω◕) The Council isn't exactly happy about Warrod's shenanigans... But if they doubt one of the Four Gods of Ishgar, that would reflect bad on them in the eyes of the public. ... So they grudgingly allow it.

I bring this up because Fairy Tail still wins the games. Obviously. (人◕ω◕) And Warrod being the playful guy he is... He ropes Crime Sorciere into his "guild". Both during the games and the dragon invasion. Lahar is against this, since Crime Sorciere has been running loose all this time... But Mest grudgingly helps Warrod "convince" Lahar to allow it. Wiping his memories a bit. The memories pertaining to Crime Sorciere. (人◕ω◕);;; ... Just a bit.

I was debating to go this route for a while. So prior posts might not exactly reflect this change in canon... Not precisely. However, I don't see the need to save Crime Sorciere's pardoning until the end of the series. It's mere circumstance that they're left as "criminals" on the run, and there's just no point to keeping up the charade. If Fairy Tail and their allies work together frequently with Crime Sorciere without complaint, the powers-that-be can just deal. (人◕ω◕)

Ultear and Natsu have that talk during the dragon invasion, keeping Ultear from casting Last Ages. I won't expand on this point too much since I already talked about it in Meredy's post, but Natsu's pretty much nipped all of Ultear's "problems" in the bud. Simon's alive, Natsu's convinced her that Jellal's actions are his own, and now he's given her the strength to carry on during a dangerous event of fighting dragons~... It shouldn't come as a surprise when it's all over, and the King pardons the members of Hydra Roots and they go on to join Fairy Tail... Well. Ultear is more than happy to grow closer to Natsu. (人◕ω◕) There's nothing holding her back anymore.

... And really, since I already had Meredy making frequent trips to Magnolia over the next few years anyway, might as well go all the way. Oracion Seis (minus Brain), Rusty Rose, Azuma, Ultear, and Meredy all join Fairy Tail. I should have specified in Tenrou arc, but Azuma survived. I have this habit of keeping awesome characters alive for atonement. (人◕ω◕) Nooo regrets~....

When did friendship turn to something more?

I'll skim over Tartaros and Alvarez arcs. It should be pretty obvious Ultear and the other former Balam Alliance members helped bring down Tartaros... and the survivors of Tartaros went on to fight Zeref's armies in Alvarez, independently. Gotta love these buildups over time with reformed villains coming together to fight against stronger foes. (人◕ω◕) ... Or maybe that's just me.

Ultear and Meredy joining Fairy Tail... Gravitating to Natsu... Of course there's opposition to these endeavors. (人◕ω◕);;; Ultear's such a troublemaker. All these... "games", flirting with Natsu and "leading him along". ... Certain parties feel like she is, anyway. It's all but impossible to hate Meredy because of how bubbly and cheerful she is. ... But Ultear. Ooh, boy, Ultear. Cana, Kagura, even Juvia is a bit... territorial around the Time Witch. And Sayla butts heads with her, when she comes around... And bossy Brandish... (人◕ω◕);;; Ultear has a fair amount of competition.

Yet Ultear is... grateful to Natsu. She really is. (人◕ω◕) It's no surprise that she and Meredy join Team Natsu on jobs... The team is rather large by now. Natsu, Erza, Gray, Lucy, Simon, Wendy, Juvia, Kagura, and now these two. (人◕ω◕) Jellal turns down the opportunity, and really it's for the best. There's already enough... tension. All orbiting around Natsu for some bizarre reason. (人◕ω◕) Doesn't help the Strauss Siblings struck during the guild's disbandment and were with him for a year. (人◕ω◕);;;

But Ultear delights in Natsu's pranking nature, as much as his serious side. (人◕ω◕) They're just playing around with friends, like Gray and Lucy. ... And Erza. What's wrong with that? (人◕ω◕);;;;;;; I confess, however, that Ultear gravitating to Natsu is what snapped Erza out of her funk, regarding Dingleberry. Erza realizes that somewhere along the way... Natsu became very popular. And seeing the woman that sprang Jellal from prison, seeing Natsu get along with that woman so well.... It makes Erza very jealous. She was one of the first to eye Natsu, and it hurts to see she's wasted all this time, and now she can't have the Dragon Slayer to herself. (人◕ω◕);;; Erza and Ultear get along about as well as cats and dogs. ... Please don't throw Mira into that mix. (人◕ω◕);;;;;;;;

I suppose to get back to the question: Natsu and Ultear become an item shortly after Alvarez arc. That's when most of the relationships become established anyway... But Natsu and Ultear...? Hmm. They both have serious sides to them. Both have goofy sides. And it just felt nice to resonate with one another. In part, Ultear wanted to see the look on Gray's face when she got together with Natsu.... But the Dragon Slayer wasn't a means to an end. She cares deeply for him, and it's very much reciprocated. (人◕ω◕)

Ultear's certainly one of the first few to make babies with Natsu, though... After all, Ultear thinks ahead. And there isn't anyone else she'd rather be the father to her children. (人◕ω◕) They wind up with a daughter as the firstborn... But after that...? I'll leave to your imaginations~... (人◕ω◕)

prologue - jueyun karst

pairing: xiao x gn!reader warnings: canon-typical violence mention words: ~1.8k words fic masterlist [ prev ] - [ next ]

chapter summary: you drag four of your closest friends to jueyun karst to chase after possible traces of the adepti. none of them expect for you to actually find any, but hey, anything is possible, right?

a/n: can't believe 'making xiao eat a chicken nugget and french fries' is becoming an actual fic but here we are. enjoy !! :D

when you had asked yanfei the legal repercussions of disrupting jueyun karst, the entire brunch table had looked at you as if you had grown a third eye. kaeya had sat down the third mimosa he had been nursing, while childe had actually stopped speaking for once. yanfei giggled with intrigue and keqing had stared at you with an expression that screamed are you serious right now?

yet somehow, you had ended up in keqing's overcrowded car and made a road trip to fuel your farfetched dreams. sure, like any kid growing up, you had read percy jackson and the archons, but, unlike most kids, you had taken the myths of the archons seriously. shrines and ruins still sung praises of their names, but most liyuean mythology was treated as having no greater value than old folk tales. the world had moved on past the need of teyvat's expansive pantheon of the elemental archons, visions, and celestia, yet some scholars sought to prove the existence of the old gods. most of the time, their efforts were fruitless.

you, of course, were no scholar. you were simply a dumbass who graduated college and decided in their post-college/pre-settled life panic to go traverse the treacherous lands of jueyun karst. as prosperous as liyue was, jueyun karst still remained heavily untouched as there were areas that even rich moguls were scared to get their grubby hands on. why turn the beautiful mountains and swirling lakes into sprawling shopping centers if the entire area was rumored to be cursed anyways? so, the country had turned jueyun karst into a protected area in the form of a national park.

but now, with your car full of three and a half dumbasses (keqing certainly doesn't count and yanfei is only halfway to idiocy), you had decided to certainly ignore the title of protected area. you had full intentions of disrupting whatever you could get your grimy hands on. you wanted to see the adepti in action and, if others called you crazy for it, then so be it.

"gods, where even are we?" kaeya asks. his tone lacks the annoyance you would expect from childe nor the worried-yet-still-composed nature you would expect from keqing's words. so, you shrug him off with a simple wave of your hand.

"not really sure, but there's enough of us out here that we won't die, right?" you ask and kaeya stares at you blankly before turning to look behind the two of you at the three stragglers.

"keqing!" he calls, realizing that you are of no help. "where are we?"

keqing huffs as she approaches the two of you while yanfei and childe stagger behind her, both acting tired despite being some of the most athletic people you know. in typical keqing fashion, she reaches into her pocket and pulls out a compass. kaeya stares as the compass needle spins around aimlessly in her hand, its connection clearly disrupted by some force in the area.

"oh gods, what does that mean? we're going to die. we're going to die out here," childe deadpans, panic creeping into his voice. yanfei swats him playfully on the arm before he can begin his usual theatrics, knowing full and well how childe loves living in the spotlight.

"dying in a protected national park is illegal," yanfei adds and kaeya stares at her with a baffled expression.

"what? are the police going to arrest a corpse?" kaeya asks incredulously and yanfei folds her arms over her chest, staring at him with narrowed eyes.

"didn't you want to be a cop at one point? shouldn't you be aware as to how arresting procedures work?" yanfei asks and kaeya recoils at her question.

"no, i was considering going into military like my dad. i don't wanna be a cop," kaeya shoots back and childe jokingly gags once he hears the word 'military'.

"military? yuck," childe says and becomes the next recipient to receive childe's incredulous gaze.

"didn't you literally join the fatui for two years?" kaeya asks but childe shakes his head.

"not like you have any proof," the ginger-haired man shoots back.

"i can easily acquire proof?" kaeya says, but keqing clears her throat loudly before the two men can engage in a full showdown of words.

"c'mon, guys, we have bigger problems to solve than childe's blatant lies," keqing redirects the conversation with ease but not before kaeya lets out a triumphant hmph at keqing's words. "like figuring out why this compass isn't working and figuring out how to get back because it doesn't work."

"ooh, maybe it's not working because there are ghosts nearby," childe says, but before yanfei and kaeya can engage with his dumbassery once more, you interject.

"it's likely just elemental energy or adeptal energy. i know you guys probably don't believe in them, but this is said to be the former realm of the adepti. wouldn't be surprised if there are traces of them left!" you say, voice far too cheery for the implication of your words. kaeya only shrugs at the suggestion that gods are watching over you as you travel through the park, yanfei only looks intrigued in a nearly-dangerous way, keqing looks nonplussed due to her strong belief that the gods no longer exist, and childe looks absolutely terrified yet is trying to act like he isn't.

"anyways," you continue. "maybe there's a domain!"

"ancient liyuean law forbids unauthorized entrance into domains without proper licensure from the adventurer's guild," yanfei says, as if knowing ancient law is a completely normal activity for a twenty-something-year-old.

"what is a domain?" keqing and kaeya ask at the same time before glancing at each other.

"i'm... not sure. pretty sure they have like... ancient monsters and stuff," you confess and, for the first time today, childe perks up excitedly, eagerly taking a step closer to you.

"monsters? like those uh... hollychirls? whatever they're called? how big do you think they are?" childe asks with an excited glimmer in his eyes.

"weren't you just worried about dying?" keqing asks, but childe ignores her question.

"so like... we're trying to find this domain, right?" childe asks, confused. "what are we looking for?"

"i don't really see why a domain would have adepti traces so we're probably better off looking for something else," you say and yanfei perks up.

"like that?" she asks, pointing off at something glowing faintly orange in the distance. you squint slightly in an attempt to better look at it, but you're unable to distinguish what exactly yanfei as pointing at.

"we might as well go see what that is," keqing says and you're slightly surprised for the purple-haired girl to suggest such a thing, but you figure she's just trying to find a place where her compass actually works. the spinning dial isn't too much of a concern for you since you're in no rush to leave, but the friends you've brought along aren't quite as keen on discovering the secrets of the adepti as you are, so you follow the herd as they begin to move over to the glowing orange light.

the five of you climb down, approaching what soon reveals itself as a stone pillar with a glowing chunk of cor lapis on top. it's certainly nothing new and is probably a protected relic, yet no guards are stationed in front of it. it's almost certainly been discovered before, so why isn't it..?

"oh, isn't this area usually flooded?" yanfei asks and everyone turns to stare at her.

"you've been here before?" keqing asks and you wonder to yourself when these people will stop asking questions and instead keep looking for hints.

"you guys haven't traveled to jueyun karst before?" yanfei asks, confused. "yeah, this area's usually flooded with water. i've never seen that thing before."

if it's usually flooded, then it was likely discovered before, but not relocated, you think to yourself and immediately break out in a sprint towards the cor lapis tower. sure, it was about the height of you, with the cubic chunk on top reaching the height of your head, yet you were more than satisfied with looking at the carvings on the side. childe is the first to catch up with you, using his long legs to match your pace. he sighs as you finally stop and watches as you frantically begin poking and prodding at the pillar.

"are you sure that's a good idea?" he asks, nervously. "what if it's a mechanism or something?"

"what's the worst that could happen?" you ask and childe sputters over his words.

"a lot of things!" childe insists, yet kaeya, keqing, and yanfei's joined arrival interrupts him from making an even bigger fuss.

"try putting your palm flat on the diamond," yanfei suggests and you take a step back. with a steady hand, you lays her palm flat against the side of the pillar, in which a diamond has been engraved onto its surface. around the group of you, the remnants of water begin to glow orange as the pillar emits an even stronger, unnatural glow of energy. the pillar begins to vibrate rapidly and yanfei lets out a small, knowing laugh while the rest of you watch, wide-eyed and confused by the moving pillar.

yet, all that happens is that the cor lapis situated on the top of the pillar falls off, landing on the side of the pillar with a resounding crack. the four of your friends immediately move over to look at the now shattered chunk of cor lapis on the ground, yet you gravitate towards the stone pillar. on the spot where the cor lapis fell, a single name is etched into the stone, as if this pillar is supposed to mark a specific area.

"'xiao'?" you breathe, reading off the word on the pillar.

"what's xi-" kaeya begins, glancing over at you, but before he can finish, a flash of green appears on the opposite side of your friends. your lips part in shock as you watch the deity appear before you. a mask rests on his face and a polearm rests in his hand, yet despite his disguised face, you can sense the anger rolling off his form in waves. his green hair ruffles in the wind as his free hand reaches up to lower his mask. infuriated amber eyes pierce into yours, but the adeptus speaks before you can.

"i am adeptus xiao. how dare you mortals infringe upon jueyun karst and disrupt my land?" xiao seethes and, for once, all five of you are silent as the yaksha points his polearm at you.

Not Afraid - Chapter 4

Summery -

The Bad Batch go to Tatooine to resupply and avoid the Empire. As per the usual, Omega gets separated from the group. Fortunately for her, Krayt's Claw just so happens to be nearby. Bossk and Embo guide her to Boba Fett, who takes interest in why the Kaminoans want her. It's a reluctant partnership, with the Bad Batch having to rely on Krayt's Claw to navigate non-military life.

With some wandering around, Bossk managed to get them a job.

It wasn't anything big, but the pay was good enough - They could get rations, fuel, the essentials.

According to the client, someone is stealing from local farmers. All they have to do is catch them, get their reward and move on. With Hunter's tracking, it shouldn't be a difficult task to complete. They were only dealing with a thief, so Omega would be fine to tag along, which she was happy about.

Seeing how excited she was to join was sweet.

"Don't expect anything, laddies and lady. It goes to plan if you don't have one!" Bossk hissed, cocking his blaster with a grin.

"That doesn't make any sense," Echo countered, pulling a face at the reptile.

"Because you're thinking like a soldier," Bossk smirked, flicking Echo's head. "Plans seldom work. All you need is explosives, knowing what you're doing and instinct. Trust yourself, your abilities, and retreat to bring back more explosives."

"Sounds great!" Wrecker agreed, itching to blow something up. "You guys can get the col illegal stuff, right? We can make things go boom?" The reptile snorted, equally happy about explosions.

With them so happy, Hunter was curious about something. Why didn't they rent speeders to this location; why walk?

The only reason would be that Boba wanted them to see something.

"You wanna see something cool?" Boba asked Omega, having a confident smirk on his face.

He whistled loudly, changing the tune with a harsh rhythm like he was imitating a call. Bossk already knew, rolling his reptilian eyes at his nephew. He knew that it was to give the squirt something special, but still, he was showing off.

Omega waited, uncertain of why he made that noise. While waiting, she saw a wolf-like creature climb atop a hill. Several others appeared, though far darker than the main one. The white one slowly stalked towards them, sniffing warily.

Boba knelt, lightly guiding her hand out and upwards. There was tingling at her fingertips like there was an electrical charge coursing through her. The titanic canid stepped to her, their wet black nose brushing against her palm. In that brief touch, there was the spark of connection.

She could feel it, and it could feel her. It lowered its head into her hand, making eye contact through the helmet.

The wolf grunted towards Wrecker, Echo and Hunter, shaking their head. It grumbled, making several sounds towards them as the other wolves began to run away. With a stamp of its reptile-like paw, it barked and ran off, leaving them confused.

"The centre returned makes seven; burnt comes and makes it six. Anguished are the five, particularly the four. Soon to be three, suddenly two. One shines through, seven again," Bossk translated, thinking over the cryptic warning.

"That's incredibly ominous," Hunter stated, unsure of what to make of that.

"You always get stuff like that from them. It's part of their cryptic 'future sight' or whatever they call it," Boba shrugged, not overly bothered. "Other than the ominous warnings, they're cool to meet. Get them some Wookie meat, and they love you; they're obsessed with it."

This new Empire seemed interesting. It didn't affect the Bounty Hunter's Guild, but it could prove profitable.

"Cad Bane. Am I right?" asked some stiff-upper-lip rookie.

Bane didn't care about them, not bothering to remember their name. Admiral Ram-whatever, it wasn't important.

"I prefer meeting on planets without incontinent clouds, Admiral. I don't like rain," Bane hissed, his distorted voice shivering the blank human. Humans had a habit of looking similar to one another. "My price is doubled for that alone."

"I understand, Mister Bane. I can assure you that you'll be incredibly well paid for," said Admiral Rampart, sitting across from the Duros. "There is a bounty on a child named Omega."

"Don't bother. That little brat Boba's probably already involved. At least with his father, you could make a deal, but the boy is annoyingly stubborn."

The kid wasn't popular because of that and was a pain in Bane's ass. His commitment to his rules was somewhat admirable, but it wasn't practical. Even with his little club, the jobs he'll get won't do him much good. He's not going to amount to much in the future.

"You misunderstand, Mister Bane. The Kaminoans want to capture her, and I suspect it's to encourage Tarkin to keep the cloning program. I want you to stop it."

"As I said, it's not worth the time. It doesn't matter where I go; the brat will follow. I'd lead him straight to you, meaning I lose credits."

"I don't want you to capture her, Mister Bane. I want you to kill her."

"Now, that's far simpler. That's triple my pay, but if you'd like, I'll bring you the skin like a rug."

"No, I only need her eliminated. The cloning program must end. To assist you, I'll have my best team to work alongside you. CT-9904 will follow your orders without question, and the other three will follow his example. If this 'Boba' gets in the way, kill him."

"Bounty hunter's aren't allowed to kill each other. I can certainly maim him, though. Give me some credits upfront, some immunity, and I'll bring you her head on a platter."

This was going to be easy.

With the weird female clone out of the picture, project War Mantle will be ahead of schedule. The Empire can grow and prosper without the expensive republican remnants. Unfortunately for this Bane fellow, he couldn't be in the picture afterwards. When the girl was dead, 9904 will kill the hunter as well.

Nobody will know that she existed or mattered. Even with this 'Boba' character, he doubted that things would go wrong. It's only a matter of time.

Meeting the wolves were amazing; the white one was soft and warm.

Omega liked the feeling of the grass against her hands, picking a few to inspect them.

While fascinated by the blades of green, she failed to see a nearby Loth-cat. It hissed and lunged at her, its fur raised and bristled.

Instinctively, Hunter aimed his blaster at the animal. It growled, the creature deceptively savage. Boba got on one knee and took some dried meat from his pocket, encouraging the animal to approach.

It hesitantly stepped forward, its pupils widening. It licked his hand then took the meat, backing away from whence it came. It climbed down a hole, poking its head back up again some moments later. Three minuscule heads popped up, chirping at the newcomers. It's only a mother protecting her kits.

Wrecker got down, wanting to have a go as well. Boba handed him some meat, motioning for it to come again. This time, one of the kits investigated, sniffing the food. The mother joined, then the other two kittens.

The family of feral animals chewed the meat, unusually passive and docile.

Omega lightly stroked one of the kittens, amazed by the feeling of their fur. Wrecker grinned, his gloved hand licked by the other two kits.

"Can we keep 'em?" Wrecker begged, looking at Hunter with puppy eyes.

"This is their home," Hunter answered, letting him down easy. "This is where they want to be, so this is where they'll stay."

First, it was reading their emotions, and now communicating with animals. It stank of force-sensitivity, even though he doubted it.

They skipped back into their hole, chirping at them as they passed. Omega waved goodbye, excited to see even more animals.

"How do you do that?" She asked, eager to learn it herself.

"Instinct. Mandalorians are raised from birth to trust themselves, to trust what their gut tells them. It told me that she was only protecting her babies, nothing malicious. You'll learn someday."

"I want to meet all kinds of creatures!"

"There's no limit to what you'll see in this galaxy, Megs," Bossk assured, ruffling the helmet she wore. "So long as Dad Batch are right next to ya."

"We're not the Dad Batch," Echo corrected, although he didn't sound so certain.

"Dad Batch or Bro Batch, either's good with me!" Wrecker smiled, slapping Bossk's shoulder. "We need a fight!" The Trandoshan snarled in agreement, eager to bruise the clone.

They were only a few minutes away from the farm, and in three hours, dusk would begin to set. The more Hunter hung with these odd pair, the more they grew on him. They were capable of skinning folk alive but having that protecting Omega was alright.

Boba was showing Omega a lot of things, even giving her his helmet. He was only three or four years older than her; he had a lot to teach. He was good with kids, too, something Hunter was still learning.

Then there was Bossk's nickname, Dad Batch. Hunter was mimicking what Cut did, so was he being a father to Omega? He never thought of being a parent before, but the past two weeks were unexpected. Maybe he could be a dad to her, be someone to look after her as she deserved.

Not only would Hunter learn a lot about being a mercenary, but interacting with children, too.

Saw looked over the bodies, the stench of burnt flesh searing his nostrils. His face scrunched in rage, practically seizing with pure rage.

"I'm sorry, sir, but none survived," Lorc sighed, shaking his head. "They were all wiped out. Not just that, but the dead trooper's wounds are the same as our departed. Friendly fire, presumably."

"Which damned clone was it?"

"That's the issue. It wasn't a clone; it was a random guy in clone armour," Edrio continued, confusing the man. "We've estimated five to have been shot by precise skills matching a clone. The rest were random people. The damage indicates a distance, probably a sniper."

"I know who did it," Saw spat, looking away from the burned bodies. "And we're going to make him pay for it. I want the Bad Batch; I want the one that killed these people as though they were swine. We'll make him suffer for this."

"He and the empire, sir," Mari agreed, charging her rifle.

Saw would destroy this empire, even if it killed him.

The farmer was both overjoyed and miserable.

The thief stole food and much of his equipment, most of which she can't replace due to financial struggles. Bossk terrified his Tooka cat, and Wrecker kept bumping his head on the ceiling. Being the second smallest, Boba wasn't concerned with the Toydarian's accommodations.

"Every night, the loth-rat takes more and more. I've set up traps, boobytraps, I even bought a droid, but they stole all of it!" She cried, hovering in distress. "I need them gone. I don't care what you do with them, so long as they leave us be."

"How're you going to pay?" Bossk asked, getting an elbow to the side from Echo. "If you want to afford rations, this is how."

"The local farmers have pitched in. The most we can do is fifteen thousand credits," she sighed, slowly drifting onto a chair. "Our crops haven't done well this year. That war has stripped the galaxy of life; even the planets are too exhausted from it."

"We'll take half," Boba decided, much to Bossk's annoyance. "Lothal's yaim par pirates bal smugglers. Vi ne'waadas eyn sur'haai olar," he added in a strange language, getting a grunt in response.

From the sounds of it, that was Mando'a, the tongue of Mandalorians. Hunter wasn't the best at languages; Tech was more specialised for that.

"By the light of Lothal's moons, you're a blessing to this valley," she whimpered, wiping her eyes. "We wish you luck on this bounty, Fetts."

Plural?

"I'm his uncle," Bossk explained to the confused four, patting Boba's shoulder and glancing at the Toydarian. "We'll make sure that they won't come again."

And so, the quest is on. Find the thief, get paid and get the hell off of Lothal. Omega was happy to be tagging along, asking about boobytraps and the sort. Wrecker picked her up, concerned that she was getting tired from the walking.

Echo would rather have stayed with Highslinger, but walking alone at night wasn't a good idea. Bossk took notice of his hesitancy, snorting for the clone's attention.

"I'm assuming it's all Techno Union?" Echo nodded at the question, the lack of feeling in his 'legs' creeping through his spine. What was left of 'his' spine. "We know a gal who can help with that. She fixes Dengar and Highslinger up after jobs. A friend of Omega's is a friend of ours."

"I'll have to take you up on that. I'd be happier to leave this all back on Skako Minor."

"We can blow it up if that'll ease the anguish."

"Did I hear blow up?" Wrecker interrupted, practically shaking from excitement. "What's going boom?"

"Nothing for now," Echo sighed, shaking his head. "You're going to drop Omega."

"I'm fine!" She assured, gripping onto Wrecker's armour. "Your eyes are pretty."

"Thank you," Bossk said, making a mixture of a chirp and purr in response. "You're a lovely young lady yourself. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, Lil Mega."

Ever since meeting Hunter, things just got better for Omega. She had Clone Force 99 and now Krayt's Claw, an odd but loving family of misfits. They made her feel special, more than just a mere assistant or failed experiment. Bossk talked to her like she was an equal, as did the others.

Being around them only added to the coldness of Kamino. They didn't show nearly the compassion Bossk did, and he'd only known her two days or so. Hunter, Echo, Wrecker and Tech were more family than the Kaminoans ever were, and she wanted it to stay that way.

Even though Crosshair was under the chip, she wanted to get to know him. The lads missed him, and she wanted to know who he really was. Not what the chip made him into or was making him do.

With Boba and his gang, it should be a whole lot easier to help him.

Far away, sitting atop a pile of stones, Fennec lowered her rifle.

Post RWBY AU Part 2 Extra

* That’s right! I’m back to this already! Mostly because I wanted to show you guys some extra bits I didn’t get to show in the last post, because I couldn’t fit the rest in Part 2. Curse you space restrictions! Anyway hope you all enjoy! *

Ruby: Good Night my little blessing.

She smiles to herself for a little bit then looks behind her and sees the opened doorway.

Ruby: You two can come out now.

From the door behind her both Yang and Whitley come out on opposite sides. Yang is sporting a very proud smile, while Whitley is nursing a rather large lump on his head. She smiles at the two and approaches Whitley to show him a smile of gratitude.

Ruby: Thank you Whitley, for saving and bringing my little blessing back home to me.

Whitley:(Averts his gaze) It’s nothing. Had I not recognized the boy having your hair and eyes I wouldn’t have known he was yours. So think nothing of it.

Ruby:(Grabs his empty hand and grips it firmly) Still had you not been there I don’t think either of us wouldn’t have known he had left home and something worse...much worse would have happened. So please, take my thanks, it means the world to me.

Whitley: ...You’re Welcome.

Ruby lets go of his hand and wipes away any remaining tears from her eyes. Yang watching very amused.

Yang: Geez Shrimp Boy, had I known better I think you were trying to become a step dad.

Whitley: Wha-! Yang, that was not my intention and you know it!

Yang: You sure, because they usually say a way to a widow’s heart is through her children.~

Ruby:(Giggles) Sorry to burst your bubble sis, but I’m not really ready to start dating again. (Smirks devilishly) Besides he seems more like your type anyway.~

Yang/Whitley:(Both blush profusely) Huuuaaah?!

Ruby:(Starts full blown laughing) Hahahahahaha! Oh my gods, you should have seen your faces, you two looked like a pair of fish! Hahahahaha!

Yang:(Trying to bring down her blush) Wha, Ruby you don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m a mature young independent woman, I don’t need a man in my life. Especially not one like Shrimpy here.

Whitley:(Recovering his composure) Wait I’m sorry, what was that you said. What’s wrong with me?

Yang: Well no offense to you Shrimp boy, but you’re not the most appealing person to start a relationship with.

Whitley: Hold on and you are?! Let’s have a recap on the last time you had a long lasting relationship. Oh wait, I don’t seem to recall the fact of you not seeing anybody at the moment. So what does that say about you?

Yang: Hey that just means nobody can’t handle being around a bombshell of a babe like me. Can’t take the heat? Don’t start the fire.

Whitley:(Looks to his side and mutters) Yeah, that’s why you currently have no suitors. And not because of your overwhelming ego.

Yang: Got something to say Shrimp boy, say it to my face!

Whitley: Fine! I think you’re not currently in a relationship because you are afraid of having to start relying on someone else and you think it will mean the end of your adventurous lifestyle.

Yang: Oh what about you, Mr. ‘Infamous Bounty Hunter of the Outlands’ isn’t that a bit hypocritical of you to say that about me.

Whitley: You know damn well that I cut all my ties to that life two years ago! You were there.

Yang: Yeah to save your butt from all those guild members of yours.

Whitley: Yes but instead of actually helping you escalated things to the point that the guild had a whole village hostage!

Yang: We got out of their fine!

Whitley: After you had to use your Maiden powers to chase them off!

Yang: It got the job done!

Whitley: It was risky! You shouldn’t have exposed yourself like that, you’re too important!

Yang: You were worth it!

They both became silent after that, trying to catch their breath and staring each other down. Yang was flustered once more, she didn’t know why he got her this way. When she first met Whitley he was spoiled rich kid who she perceived as a pest, a ‘shrimp’. But then Weiss’s mother died at the hands of Watts and they almost lost the Relic of creation had Neo double crossed Cinder in the end. The ordeal changed the young boy and he became so obsessed with revenge for his mother’s death that he took up training with the Schnee’s former butler, Kline, who had apparently been a apart of a secret service of sorts. Then he honed his stills and traits he learned from dealing with his father to take up bounty hunting as a profession. For awhile he was very good at it. If you hadn’t knew the kid before the tragedy, you’d never guess that a seemingly lonely rich kid would grow up to be one of Remnant’s most feared bounty hunters. However he left the business under strange reason he never said and decided to work as a spy of sorts for their old group. Now he was here, towering over her almost a head taller and was not so much looking like a shrimp anymore.

*Siiiiippppp*

Both Yang and Whitley look towards their single audience member to see that she had taken the time to prepare some tea for herself and was currently sipping on her tea.

Ruby: Oh I’m sorry did I interrupt your lover’s quarrel, please by all means don’t let me stop you.

Both stayed quiet and but got the message that the argument was pointless as they were just poking jabs at one another plus it was rude to have the spat on the porch of her sister’s home.

Ruby: Good. Now why don’t you come inside, enjoy some tea I’ve made and forget this little argument happened.

Yang/Whitley: ....Fine/Very well.

Ruby: Great!

Ruby was glad even after all these years she could still have a level head in tense situations. Plus she now can enjoy some well deserved payback for all the times Yang teased her and Jaune to the point of embarrassment. Shortly afterwards, the three of them were sitting down at a table and enjoyed a cup a tea. Yes a nice conclusion to a very tense day.

Sorry this took so long to get to you, I forgot to send it to you.

Phoenix Rayfield was born into a thief guild by his human parents who were the heads of the guild, all his life he was traveling from town to town, maybe a city now and then; that was connected to his family's guild, never staying in one place for too long but sometimes returning. While he was young he was taught to remain in the shadows and to never kill the target they were stealing from as corpses dont make money and dont build debt to the guild, unless they had a price on their head then the guild would assassinate someone, or if they were contracted to do so. And while he was heir to a guild connected around the land he would hold no power over anyone in the guild until he was of age and passed the test to officially join as a guild member like the rest had. Resenting this he would always complain that the "minions" to "his" guild who were caught during their escapades never tried to go out in a flurry and kill any who saw them. Hating the rules of the guild and his family he would try to sneak away and go to taverns or bars and hide in plain sight, if few people knew of his family's relation to the guild, heck even knew they existed then why hide in the shadows all the time? He would roam around whatever town he was in at the time and try to stir up some harmless trouble without interfering with the guilds workings, be it getting drunk for days and waking up with no coin in his pocket and his clothes wet with sewage water and barf, or starting a brawl with the local tough guys but always creeping away if the town guard were to get involved. He loved the thrill of fighting and getting away in a flash, or a long chase, he didnt mind as he was too good to be caught by normal folks or elves, orks, or even those dragonborne folk for who few he had seen.

When he was no longer a "young adult" to his family and underlings in the guild he was permited to take the test and gain true acceptance into the guild. He knew this was his time to show them they were doing it all wrong, that they didnt have to hide in the shadows all the damn time and to finally get some blood on their hands! It was a simple job, sneak into the local mayors house and steal something the guild had been looking for for a while. This was the test? It couldnt be that simple, surely they knew of his skill and gave him some mundane task that anyone could have done right? And it was easy, the mayor was a deep sleeper and didnt even wake up when Phoenix stubbed his foot on a table leg! With no guards around he took the item, locked in the mayor's chest he picked the lock and found a small box in the box looked to be a dark orb that could sit on your finger and was almost pulsating with.... with something, he didnt care in the slightest for arcane stuffs, whatever he could see and touch was good enough for him. With the orb stowed in his glove Phoenix decided that he would celebrate early and head to the tavern the next town over, not a terribly long walk but not too far either, while he was walking down the path through the woods which were faintly lit with moonlight and congratulating himself on becoming "head of the guild" he almost didnt notice the cloaked figures approach from behind, a twig snapped behind him alerting of their presence, knowing he fucked up he bolted into the tree line and tried to lose them, he ran for a while and kept looking behind him, seeing 3 figures in black robes, or were they blue? He couldn't tell in the darkness, he needed to keep the orb safe and make it back to his guild, his family he hated but needed now. He dropped into small ravine, looked like a small river used to run through, he had to secure the orb, they couldn't find it! Without hesitation he took his hand out of the glove, being certain to keep the mouth of the glove facing upward as to keep the orb from falling out, then gingerly rotating it till the orb fell into his free hand, he couldn't see it in the dark but he felt it plop onto his hand, panicked he looked for a place to hide it, maybe come back and retrieve it should he be caught, but he still couldn't see in the fucking dark! Looking for something, anything to use as reference to come back to he heard footsteps coming, they were close! He looked down at his hand to see a faint amount of light glimmering off it from the moon he thought of no other option, in one fell swoop he brought his hand to his mouth and swallowed the orb, going to down with a bitter taste. He looked up and saw a figure above him, did they see him ingest it? Is he about to be gutted!?! He tried to run but another figure came from the side and knocked him out...

He awoke what seemed like a quite a while later as the first rays of sunshine were peaking through the trees, he was stripped down and kneeling before a shallow grave in front of a tree, his grave, a figure smacked the back of his head and pulled him back up with his hair, wow he had a killer headache. Then the other figures approached him, definitely blue robes, and with raspy voices they all asked in unison "where is the orb? You only have one chance" to which he replied with spitting in the face of the one that hit him, then he felt something touch his throat. Oh no. Before he could move the cold steel sliced through him and he was kicked into the grave, still convulsing he felt dirt hit his back, he was about to die and no one knew it. Not his guild nor his parents, that was fine with him, they did it all wrong anyways. And then it all went black.

Years later a demon was running in some forest, night had been long for it and the moon was full, but being hunted by some hunters seeking to purge him from this realm really dampened the mood. It was badly wounded and starting to fade in and out of consciousness. Barely able to hold it's own sword up. Running until it ran into a ravine, now flush with plant life, it stopped to rest a moment when it felt a powerful demonic energy in the ravine, no human could feel such a thing as only the demonic could harness it and the holy to fear it. This was not the source itself but a faint remnant of it, that could power it back up! Defeat those who dare harm its might! It followed the trace till it found what must be the source a... tree? No, around it, a burial sight and the pungent smell of a malicious soul, one that burned with hatred and vengeance. Ooh this could work well, but it had to work quickly, there was little time, after finding the source and digging at the spot it spotted a rotted skeleton, yellow with age and long forgotten, but its wicked souls still bound true, fueled by hatred and stuck in this world, with a dark orb pulsing with vile energy Perfect. After sheathing its blade on its waist all it had to do wa- *SHUNK*

Was that arrow always piercing its chest?

No! It had been found! It couldn't give up here, with a quick flash of demonic power the demon forced the hunter away and began a ritual to summon the power of the orb and bring forth power to heal and get th- *SHUNK* another arrow peirced the neck from a hunter who shot from a different angle hiding behind a tree, this couldn't be happening! With a last ditch effort the demon pulled what energy it could and set the immediate area around the hunter on fire, they would pay for this! But it took too much from the demon to do so and was bound for death now, with everything it could the demon bound the orb into its skull, screeching as it did. And it just needed someone to take care of its skull till it could gain enough energy to awaken again in the skull but would need something to take care of it for the time, the spirit would do. Yes this vile spirit would work wonderfully, fusing the spirit into its own skull with the orb the demon went limp, but remained dormant within the orb. Waiting for it to re-emerge and take vengeance...

Phoenix awoke... but wasn't he dead? That tree he had observed from now and then was looking back at him, what? But he was dead! He was sure of it! But now he was back and... wow, looking around he saw something had happened, a fight of sorts. A few flames danced around, threatening trees to catch its flame. He missed something alright and hated it, the first notable thing in what seemed like years went and happened without him! Damnit all! He pounded his fist into he earth around him to hear a crack. Crack? He looked down to see a skeleton arm, now missing a hand.

What.

He examined his body, he was all bone now. Horrible! His muscular body was gone! His nimble fingers only moved on one hand now and his face was no longer... his face. Patting his head with the remaining hand he could feel it wasn't right, not right at all, he shrieked, this couldn't be right, he was human right? His parents were, right? He never engaged in any cult worshipping, yet he had horns? Hard to tell, he needed to find something to see himself with. As he rose he felt his bones crack and crumble under his weight, damnit all! Now he was only a torso with two arms and one hand! Peering past some flame he saw a corpse, burning slightly at the clothes but it was a skeleton alright, maybe... just maybe that could be a replacement. After some struggling to get there he removed rather easily anything fleshy still on the bones and removed a hand, perhaps it could, yep, he now had a new but slightly charred hand. After what seemed like hours he had a new body, yellow on top and charred on the bottom. Yuk. He needed clothes for he didnt even want to see that. After a quickly glance around he saw another hunter not too far off, long dead with a branch through the skull, hell of a impact that must've been, but the rest of the body was skeletal too. But this ones clothing was not damaged but bloodstained, most likely their own. Or could be the blood of an animal they killed, or the burning hunters? Looking back at the charred torso and skull they seemed like they were wearing something similar but the others was too burnt away to be sure. He didnt care, he didnt recognize any of it so why should he? After some time the sun begane to rise, another chance at life, not a normal life but it was his, he was... FREE! No longer bound by the rules of his parents or guild he could make his own life! His own GUILD! Yes! He would do it right! Make his rules and set his own standards! He would finally take what should have been his. No.. not take, make what it all should've been, no keeping to the shadows, no mercy on those who has spotted him or insulted him. He was determined, to make a new fearsome organization with him at the head. Speaking of head he needed to see what he looked like now, reaching into the back of the now scant corpse he found some daggers and arrow bolts but no cross bow? He searched the area, must be somewhere if they had arrows. After finding it he headed tried to find a road, something to get him away from here. But he couldnt leave, something compelled him to turn back and retrieve something? But what all there was was his grave, that awful tree and a huge blade? It was in its sheath but it was large, too large for a normal human, who did it belong to? After picking it up and struggling to get it on his back the compulsion to retrieve it was gone, weird, this must be his now. And so he set off, trying to find out how long he was gone for.

It had been 3 months since he had re-awakened and this is what he has learned

1. He was dead for at least 70 years

2. He is now in the territories of Micommel, some peace loving land that had remained neutral while a war was being waged in his absence. Also run by elves?

3. His guild was either no longer around or they had changed how they hid, he couldnt tell

4. He no longer needed to eat sleep or drink

5. He could wield the blade on his back but was difficult to do so

6. Supprisingly a lot of people are fine with a skeleton walking around so long as he tells them you were cursed by some dickhole after the war had rung out and were looking for safety, there are also more weird things walking around than just you in this world it would seem. Being hidden from it probably didnt help

7. He needs bones to keep replacing the old ones that get broken from landing from a jump wrong or when they get destroyed in combat, and only human like ones work, elves and orks work fine but they just dont feel right

And 8. His skull is in fact not his old one, it was hideous with green coming from the sockets but frightening to the weak willed, he swears he heard faint laughing when he stabbed that cleric that was tailing him between towns. Not perfect for him but it could help build an empire of crime for himself, like the one he deserved.

He was just heading into a new town cause he heard about something that might be worth checking out, what's the worst that could happen?

To her, it had been such a simple thing turned important. Strawberries were so hard to find, so much so that even while consuming them, she had saved the seeds. (Perhaps, just perhaps, she could try and grow more?)

It was only her attempt to be kind that lead her to ask Natsu if he wanted a taste, feeling guilty to eat them on her own. When he approached, she thought to hold one of the small fruits up to him, expecting the Slayer to either take it from her or immediately chomp it down. In fact, she wouldn’t have been surprised by the latter reaction.

What did surprise and pull forth a shocked, low gasp, was his arm partially caging her against the tree, his larger frame towering over as eyes practically smoldered when they met her own.

“- uhm, Natsu?” The question towards his actions hung in the air, even as she lowered her hand, fingers still holding one of the succulent berries.

Why was she so short of breath suddenly? A strange tension filled the air, making her tongue swipe across her lip (tasting remnants of strawberry) before she nibbled on the soft flesh: nervous. Somehow, her body f e l t as if it were… anticipating something. From the amount of stories she had read in the past, she had a good idea what that something was.

And yet, how strange, wasn’t Natsu like family to her? A brother? A girl didn’t just silently hope to be snogged silly against a tree with a strawberry between them.

The mere mental image that thought concocted made her squeak, and even louder so once Natsu’s question had reached her ears.

‘Can I kiss ya?’ Had she heard correctly or was her own imagination betraying her? Head flared through her face, an empty, lonely hole in her heart seemed to clench as if screaming.

It had been.. so long since she’d dreamt of being kissed of being held. So long since she’d ever considered having an opportunity for such intimacies ever again. Their mere question stupified her into almost dropping what was left of her Strawberries.

Instead, a shaking, scarred hand, rose and stuck the originslly offered one against his lips, voice quiet even as she answered.

“Try it ” She first said, lips pulling into a shy, confused smile. “It tastes wonderful.”

Whatever insanity had gripped the script mage just then, she realized she didn’t want to think about it. She wanted to a c t, and the very moment he’d open his mouth to taste the sweet fruit, she moved. Pushing up on her toes, a free hand moved to balance on his shoulder.

With the Strawberry between him, she asked him only one thing before her own lips crashed against his. Answering his question without the words, she loved so much.

“Do you really want to?”

The heart was thumping even louder, than before, while the fire boy’s hand remained in its leaning against the tree trunk, his own tongue tied to the palate. Deeply inwardly curses, since he uttered a blurting question just like that, the embarrasment was enough, when Natsu was greeted by a change of the subject, and silence in its follow. The lips pulled apart to her words of the berry in between the point finger and thumb, as he suddenly tasted the flavor upon the tongue.

Chewing down in a reflex, the freshly juices spread like a wildfire, inside the mouth, only to feel the friction heat along his lips and the eyes widened. Oh crap, she got his system in an utter shock of state, everything shut down, as his hands snapped down to her waist, and pulled her in close enough to lift her a bit from the ground and feel his heat more intensive, than before. The strawberry flavor, along the sweetness, of purity from her side, got his own back of throat to slip the deep purl, he kept hidden so long. She tasted, delicious ..

And he wanted more of it.

The strong grip around her waist stayed, as Natsu shited the weight to a soft slamming of her back, against the tree trunk, she had leaned against earlier, as their kiss escalated quickly from a awkward teeth clashing, to a deep which involved a febrile tongue and a playful one. Natsu’s heart didn’t loosen its thumping, as he got more worried, Levy would catch it. Hell, he hadn’t even stop this yet, and kissing someone you saw as a sister ? Nah, he wasn’t that kind of guy !

But she isn’t a sister to you … isn’t she ?

The weak memory of a old flash with the blonde, sitting on her bed, as they was talking about the guild mates, and Natsu had said, he admired Levy’s strength. And Lucy herself, had asked him what he thought about the scriptwriter. “ She is like a sister, to me, Lucy. ”, even if the blonde nodded and did offer a smile, Natsu hadn’t thought about it .. but Lucy did whisper for herself that time, and when he asked what she said, she just wave away the hand and told him he is silly.

So all this time … his sister feeling, wasn’t that kind of way, after all. Did Gajeel noticed? Was it why, he had that time, told him to protect levy, in case he died one day? Keep that smile going, never letting her be alone again. It all started to made sense, just in the terms of how much he wanted to go further, they had to stop it. —— It wasn’t the right time, to dry hump each other out of the blue glory, and share saliva in the broad day light, either. So no matter how much, Natsu wanted to taste her flesh, bite that neck, and go further, he was the wiser one and slowly put her down on the feet again, as he unhook her arms from his neck as hair.

Panting uneven, as the eyes found hers, their forehead was linked in rest against each other, while Natsu tried to focus on getting air through his lungs, and not how fucking good it felt, with Levy’s thighs wapped around his waistline. Shit, his left hand, had even slide in under that skirt a bit … FUCK. —— Wiping away the saliva with the back of his right hand, left the slayer an excuse to remain quiet for a few seconds. “ …. w..wow .. y..yea … de..elicious … uh … berry. ”

Brex: [...] "And if he asks you, you just give him the same expression you give to... anything. God, Nabura, I wonder if you look like this during sex too."

DM: "Yeah if I were in your bed, sure I'd make that face. I'm not impressed by small things."

Aeder 25th, 325A4 Morning

Devy: Ok, so, it's been six days since you left, and when you come back to the inn, Nabura is like "I got your infos." (and a beer)

Brex: "Nabura! You always know how to butter me up. So what's the word?"

DM : He sighs a bit but gives you the beer anyway "Your employer's name is Eryl Ultore. Well, that's probably a fake name. He's a drow, but the last line of Ultore died some three centuries ago, and trust me on this, if one of them had survived, they wouldn't go around using their name. Plus, no one had ever heard of this dude before. He just kind of... showed up in town, went to some fancy parties and that's about it. Apparently he's in the west of the country by now, but no idea what he's doing there. Anyway, he's left this tiefling behind to recruit mercs for him I guess. As far as I know he's a mage, and very interested in magical artifacts. Kind of shady but he pays well I guess."

Devy: I'm making Nabura tired of everything and everyone, I'm sorry...

Brex: The goblin thoughtfully scratches their chin "Anything I should know about his pet? The tiefling appears to be a bard, nothing special (a good performer though)."

DM: "Ah, the tiefling's name is Zerachiel Thuja, he's just a bard, yes. Arrived to town a month ago on a boat, made some money in inns and got accepted to some fancy nobles' parties, that's probably where he met Eryl Ultore, but no idea what he's got for himself except pretty songs. Polite and educated, that's about everything people could tell me. No idea where he comes from."

Devy: Also he asks if you have more questions /want more investigations done on those two.

Brex: Brex takes a sip of their beer "Hmm let's keep an eye on the tiefling, see if he makes any moves. Every pawn makes a mistake sooner or later.” They pause a little "Do you know an elf named Thallan? I'm not familiar with the guy here in the guild, could be an outsider or just hides himself really well."

DM: "Thallan... Well he seemed quite in a rush when he came here. Probably a mission that didn't end well. Anyway, he knows Senbo and since she didn't have him stabbed in a dark alley yet, I guess that he's a half decent person, as much as us." (he's very proud of himself there) "He seems from quite far away though. That's about all I've got, that was his first real mission here, no idea about his skills either."

Brex: "Oh yeah, about that. If he ever asks about me, I'm a nobody. Just an average goblin trying to survive in this fine economy. Also" a malicious grin flashes through their face "how quickly can you spread a rumor? I wanna make the guy busy, give him a hard time to operate, if you know what I mean."

DM: "Don't worry, you are a nobody, Brexit" he jokes. He seems pretty much into whatever they're going to come up with. "I can make a rumor run through this whole town in one night, and reach the borders in a week, what do you have in mind?"

Brex: "Do you know alicorns? Fancy creatures from fairy tales. I know enough halfwits would try to cut up that bloke if they'd assume he's bearing one. Try to make it believable, like Diorell told it or something, and alicorns are worth enough to afford a mansion by Bönner. How does an alicorn look like, can elves be pregnant with it and stuff aren't important. The idiots of this city has no concept whatsoever."

DM: He seems to completly lose it but only internally like, his face is blank except for a half smile, but you can see that he's trying not to brust out laughing. It takes him like 20 seconds to be able to communicate again. "I'm... A baby alicorn? Yeah sure... And if it can piss off Diorell to be part of this then of course I'm in." He pauses to rethink his life. "You're right, the details are not important... I'm sure this rumor is going to spread even faster than I thought... This Thallan is going to be in trouble that's for sure, but mostly pretty pissed. You'd better pray that he doesn't find out who started this rumor."

Brex: "Oh you know I can handle myself" Brex winks at him. "And if he asks you, you just give him the same expression you give to... anything. God, Nabura, I wonder if you look like this during sex too."

DM: "Yeah if I were in your bed, sure I'd make that face. I'm not impressed by small things" he cracks a smile, this time. "Alright, it's way more fun than my usual missions, I won't tell on you for that rumor. Anything else you'd like to know?"

Brex: "It's not the size that matters, but how you do it" they retort a little bit peeved, but elect not to pry on the subject more. "One day I will show you that... But for now, that's all." They finish up the remnants of their beer. "Gotta take ol' Grabby out for a walk. I swear the streets crawl with less vermin since I have it." They wave goodbye to Nabura and are off to buy equipment form the market.

Brex: After the short errands Brexit is back to Nabura like they haven’t even left. "Do you know Jetta? She's a feisty beast, but has a keen eye. I saw her once pin a guy to the wall with utensils, it was beautiful. Think she has enough spare time to take in an apprentice to teach them knife juggling?"

DM: Nabura kind of shrugs "She's been training all day in the archers' field ((that's like a random room in the HQ, you know where it is)). This month has been quite empty, nothing’s happening much for us. She'll probably be happy to show off her skills, as usual. Might ask you for a favor in exchange or for some gold though."

Brex: "Thanks, I'm off then."

Brexit enters the archers' field, with only a few people around. Jetta's alone training with a bow by her own, so they approach her ((the two haven't met personally, just passed each other, and Brex knows some of her adventures)) "You have a pretty good aim - Jetta, right? - Can you do that with knives?"

DM: Jetta turns to the goblin with a smug smile, says "Can I?" and winks. She gets two knives out of her sleeves, throws one apparently too high to hit one of the wooden panels hanging from the ceiling. The knife cuts off the panel's rope and she throws the other one. When the panel hits the floor, the second knife is at the center of the target, because I'm the DM and I just made an OP NPC that's how ((idk if the scene is quite clear I swear it's clear in my head. I should describe things more,,,))

Brex: The trick deserved a clap, and the goblin nods approvingly "Very impressive, I'm amazed! I wish I had your skills, I'm only good at gutting the unfortunates. Say, since you're warmed up already, could you give me a few lessons? I'd make worth your while."

DM: She seems very happy with the attention. "Well I could. Are you ready to suffer and give up on all hopes?"

Brex: A wicked shine appears in Brexit’s eyes "Oh but pain doesn't mean I wouldn't enjoy it..." ((should I roll persuasion for flirting???))

Norris: 9 + 4

Devy: Aww she totally resists, but she thinks it's cute.

DM: "Hum... Well I wouldn't usually ask for help but I was running in the sewers the other day, and lost a collar. If you could be a dear and bring it back to me, I'll give you some training lessons, how does that sound? There's nothing too dangerous down there. Rats and spiders maybe, but the thing is... I don't really like spiders. At all."

Brex: "Oh? Is the collar for a pet or a person?" they wink. "Nevertheless don't worry, I get your collar back. Where should I go looking?"

Devy: I FUCKING FORGOT THE WORD NECKLACE EXISTED I MEANT NECKLACE AhHAHHAHAH

Norris: asdrtfzguhi I'm crying... there's the word pendant too.

Devy: I'm pretty sure I've been using the word collar instead of necklace/pendant for like 3 years now and I'm going to hide in shame...

DM: "Could be both depending on the occasion... You'll find it somewhere between ((insert street you totally know and other street you totally know)). I don't know where it fell exactly but I'm sure it didn't fall in the water, I would have heard that. It's a golden choker, quite heavy. I had it in my pocket since it's noticeable when it's worn. I'm sure that I had it when I went in the sewers, but when I got back the high quarters it was gone."

Brex: "Hmm yes, that place crawls with some big spiders. I'm surprised you didn't take the route on ((insert street name here like Brex knows their way around better)), that has only big slimes... Eh whatever, I get your collar back in no time. Godspeed for me." ((and they’re off to get the naughty accessory back))

My Version of the Alvarez Empire Arc

Alright, this arc is something I’ve been going over for a long time. I’ve done countless adjustments and concept changes. Wanting to do something different from a war, then wanting to do a war. Characterization I wanted to do, characters I wanted to cut out, etc. So here’s my version of the Alvarez arc.

Opens to Crime Sociere and over the timeskip, Sorano was checking out Alvarez for clues on Zeref’s location and according to her, he’s on Alvarez

In Alvarez, Zeref comes and the ruler of Alvarez, Irene Belserion (Who’s keeping herself hidden in shadow) and says he’s come to help her and give her back her humanity

Irene is shocked, but Neinhart says that what he’s asking is extreme and Invel questions why Zeref would want to help and he says he wants Acnologia dead

A few days pass Natsu, Gray, Lucy, and Wendy are returning from a successful mission, Lucy saying it’s sad that Erza wasn’t along with them

All of FT is adjusting to their return, talking about missions, how Erza’s the new Master, Natsu saying he’s now gotta think about fighting Zeref.

Cuts to God Serena in Bellum and he smiles how Alvarez is moving and he might as well wait to play his part

Out of the cost of Hargeon is an armada of ships piloted by demons. The one leading them, Bradman

On the ship, Bradman says he’ll play his part and reveals he’s talking to two members of the Alvarez black ops division, Marin Hollow and Jacob Lessio (Both of whom specialize in teleportation and invisibility magic) Marin says he’s gotta bring FT down to Hargeon, but Bradman says it won’t be a problem

The demons attack Hargeon and begin killing many innocent people. Fiore’s Knights are called down, but it’s no good, so an order is issued to the guilds and Rune knights

Lamia Scale, Mermaid Heel, and Fairy Tail all arrive to help. Marin sees this and teleports away in the chaos

Bradman appears to the guilds saying he will avenge Tartaros as he is a remnant of its forces and this being the country that destroyed them and he will seek revenge

Cut to an invisible Marin making it to Fairy Tail and uses his glasses which turn out to be special magic items that can see through objects and see magic readings, finds where the heart is being kept

Back at Hargeon the demons and guilds fight, with the heavy hitters of each guild fighting the evolving Bradman, but Gray questions why this guy wasn’t in the war against Tartaros

Eventually it cuts to Mavis in her chamber of the Lumen Histoire, but then ambushed by the teleporting Marin. Mavis acts fast, while she can’t fight him off, using her thought projection, she is able to get a warning out to the remaining members.

Marin teleports away so mavis is no longer in distance of the guild to do her projection

The Rune Knights who arrived examined the ships used by the demons and found that they were manufactured by Alvarez, not only that, but the FT mages are shocked at the stolen Fairy Heart. Gray puts things together saying that Alvarez could be working with Zeref

Mavis even warning that Marin mentioned Alvarez

Doranbolt arrives to FT (Gajeel calls in a favor due to his former high position and gets a quick audience with the general) and when they state it was someone with Alvarez did this, Doranbolt begins to sweat. He knows how dangerous the Fairy Heart is and if Alvarez has it and plans to use it as a weapon it could be bad

Doranbolt hypothesize that even if they had a ship or a teleportation ability, they couldn’t bring Fairy Heart to Alvarez in time and would most likely have to stop over in the independent nation of Caracole Island, a neutral area where they could completely avoid a ground war in Alvarez if they take it there

Natsu and Erza both say they should take it back by force, but Doranbolt says that FT can’t go. Erza says Fairy Heart is their responsibility, not Ishgar’s, but Doranbolt says that if it’s international and threatens Ishgar’s safety then it’s the duty of the Rune Knights

Natsu asks why Doranbolt is being a hardass, their guilds have taken large threats before, but Doranbolt yells that this isn’t a dark guild, but a whole continent, they are dealing with something far bigger than a small army of dark mages or the guerrilla style tactics used by Tartaros.

He also adds that it isn’t the guild’s job to fight wars, their mages, their duty is to the growth of magic not to be soldiers. Doranbolt adds on that it is heartbreaking for the rune knights over the last few years, Jellal toppling the council meant they weren’t organized for the Oracion Seis, the bombing at the council was a crippling blow to their upper officers and left them scrambling again, now it’s their time to do their duty and be knights

Mystogan tries to argue with Doranbolt saying that he knows about underground revolts and covert operations in dangerous areas. He also knows that by the time the Rune Knights fully assemble, the Fairy Heart won’t be on Caracole Island

Mystogan says that if FT acts as a scout force to head them off and if they get off the island with Fairy Heart then it’s left up to the Rune Knights

Doranbolt is hesitant, asking how they’ll get to Caracole. Mystogan reveals something that he built with Dan Straight over the one year he was gone, a new type of magic ship that replaces the a magic bombers raw power and size with enhanced speed

The ship is called, Emilia and like how Christina is based on a Pegasus, this one is based on a Fairy

The ones going is the same team Tenrou Group: Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Gray, Juvia, Elfman, Pantherlily, Gajeel, Levy, Cana, Mira, Carla, Wendy, Laxus, Freed, Bickslow, Evergreen, Erza

While they depart and say goodbye, Doranbolt says to ready another new type of ship made over the timeskip by Pergrande for the Rune Knights, The Magic Warship.

Knowing the danger Doranbolt appeals to the counsel and they all agree to send the 4 gods to war as well when Doranbolt explains the Fairy Heart, though he is chewed out for letting FT hang on such a dangerous piece of magic

Emilia sets out to sea to and Caracole Island

The Gods and Jura confront God Serena and he reveals he’s betraying them all

They are shocked and he says that Zeref had given him and offer over the one year that he couldn’t refuse, if he joined Alvarez

They fight and Serena is currently mopping the floor with all of them, but then Jacob teleports in and says it’s time to go. Hyberion scolds himself for letting Serena act free this whole time.

They approach Caracole Island which Mystogan stresses they need to act appropriate here, it’s independent and we need to keep the fight to a minimum

On Caracole Island, Brandish and Wahl are waiting to pick up Marin and Jacob’s drop-offs.

The King of Caracole, Blank (who’s design is based on General Blank from Rave Master)

Is saying how he just wants the nations to get along, Brandish saying the Alvarez has no problem with Caracole

Marin arrives with Fairy Heart and says that it was a slog to get this back. Brandish then shrinks it and stores Fairy Heart in her pocket. Jacob arrives with Serena, and tells him that he’s going with Brandish. God Serena of course makes a bit of a fuss about not having a personal ship, but it’s ignored.

While Brandish leaves with Serena she tells them Marin and Jacob’s next targets, Lucy, Yukino, and the eclipse gate

While leaving Marin questions why Wahl isn’t coming back with her and see says that Invel had predicted that FT or Ishgar would try to make a move to avoid a war and given the data Zeref gave him, Wahl will be the interception to stop FT.

As the Emilia arrives, Lucy uses Crux to tell where the Fairy Heart may be, he then points them to where Wahl is

Wahl attacks when they ask questions about Fairy Heart and Crux identifying that the ship leaving port has Fairy Heart

It cuts to Brandish who’s talking to the other spriggans with a communication Lacrima and says that FT arrived quicker than expected. Invel says that given FT’s brash behavior and psychological profile, if they beat Wahl they will be coming after the heart.

Invel says that they’ll need a vanguard unit to act as a blockade if/when they get there

Ajeel volunteers saying his squad will turn them to dust

Cut back to the island, Blank is horrified how Alvarez didn’t care about the innocence of his country, but FT splits up when they see Wahl create these mechanical soldiers that also have a counter to the mages.

Half of FT is fighting while the other is trying to get the people to safety. Eventually Mystogan tries to get into the Emilia to catch up, but when it starts getting swarmed by mechanical soldiers, he prioritizes destroying the soldiers so he’s able to still use Emilia

Finally Wahl reveals his true form, and the thunder god tribe recognize that this is a machina

Laxus and Freed destroy it, but the ship Brandish and Serena was on, is out of sight and miles away

Cut to Alvarez where Wahl reveals his real body. He says that they beat his drones, but now he’s got all their weakness cataloged. Dimaria says she’ll just handle watching over Milidan

Brandish is on communication Lacima line and says she’s heading back and made sure to leave Jacob and Marin with the mission of capturing Lucy, but Wahl states that need to change the plan because Lucy is on Caracole

Cut to Caracole Island, Blank is thanking FT for saving them and their kingdom. The FT team is trying to regroup all of them ticked that the Fairy Heart got away.

Natsu suggests that they keep going, but then Gray has to remind them of the deal they made with Doranbolt. Mystogan begins to feel anxious

Cut to Sabertooth, where Jacob is scouting out Yukino and waiting for a chance to grab her. He knocks her out, but when extractingher and making her invisible along with him, the shadows from underneath him spring up.

Rogue reveals that he could feel Jacob’s presence when he touched the shadows.

Jacob retreats knowing he wouldn’t last in afight and Rufus then explaining to Sting about how the boats belonged to Alvarez and trying to contact FT most of them left the country, Sting believes that Yukino was nabbed by the Alvarez guys

It cuts to Marin in Fiore who just gets a response from his communication lacrima that Lucy is on Caracole Island and he’s pissed that he’ll have to bail out and teleport away, but then suddenly the town goes in Gildarts mode and Marin has to check it out

Finally it cuts to the recovering wizards saints, Wolfhiem stating that they’re still going to Alvarez and fighting, especially knowing God Serena is on their side

Hyberion asks if Doranbolt’s “scouting party”, got the fairy heart back, and Doranbolt calls Mystogan

They begin to argue when Mystogan reveals they didn’t grab the heart. Doranbolt says for them to stand down and stay on Caracole until all this mess is cleared up and the Rune Knights have Fairy Heart.

Mystogan says that Fairy Heart is their responsibility and that’s what they’ll do plus if they catch up to the ship with Emilia’s speed, but Doranbolt cuts him off saying that he’s given the the FT guild too much slack and now what they do will officially mean they are interfering on and international crisis, ending with Doranbolt saying they’ll all be court marshalled

Mystogan looks around at the people who Wahl carelessly didn’t mind catching in his cross fire and Mystogan states FT won’t allow the power of Fairy Heart to fall into the hands of someone so like that, court marshall be damned

Doranbolt clutches his head and Hyberion says that they can’t stop them, but it doesn’t mean that they won’t act. They all bored the ginormous Magic Council Magic Aerial Warship, Rune Force

Before the FT team leave Blank tells them to be careful because there’s a giant city port that all ships head west in Alvarez will have to cross, meaning there might not be something there waiting for them.

Blank also gives them a map of Alvarez, these aren’t sold in Ishgar, but being an independent nation in between the two continents, gives them the perks of getting stuff from both sides

The map does highlight a few area like where the capital is

They race off to catch Brandish’s ship, and are making great time with the advanced speed of Emilia, they believe they see ships in the distance, but they suddenly get hit by an odd tornado like attack

Erza identifies the attack as sand magic and it turns out those three ships are flying magic bomber ships that belong to Ajeel’s squad

We get a small flash back showing Ajeel getting ready to head out to fight FT, but Yajeel tells Ajeel that he should be careful and he shouldn’t end up like his father, Jajeel

Ajeel yells that his dad died because he was stupid and weak which is why Ajeel will use absolute force to overwhelm his opponents

Back in the present, Ajeel has his three ships acting as a vanguard unit and even set a precaution for if they manage to get past this part of his squad, he still has a ground army ready to take them out when they land on Alvarez

Levy uses Emilia’s scanners to find that the 3 ships have the magical convergent cannon: Jupiter on them

Ajeel is ready to fire, Mystogan wants to get out of the way, but finds that the controls are oddly not responding properly

Erza says that the blast of sand might have entered the ship and messed it up

Emilia’s not completely broken, but it’s barely mobile, and it does get hit by the Jupiter Cannon, but luckily FT moved the ship enough to avoid the crew aboard didn’t take any damage

The broken Emilia falls into the ocean, but since it’s a boat it floats. FT begins to panic given that their sitting ducks, but Natsu says they can take the fight to them with the help of the exceeds

Natsu, Wendy, and Gajeel fly towards the ships, and Juvia says she’ll use her water magic to start moving the ship, but Erza says she wants Juvia to head up with her, because the main ship has a powerful sand user and Juvia would be a perfect help

So Juvia, with the help of Erza in Blackwing armor, fly towards the main ship, Erza yelling at the dragon slayers to get the side ships

Natsu says he’ll take the second one, Gajeel and Wendy take the 3rd

Back on Emilia, Gray and Elfman are on the top of the boat and Gray makes paddles out of ice and Efman using his enhanced strength from Takeover, paddles the Emilia closer to the mainland

In the air we see Natsu land on the second ship piloted by Bakel

Bakel is a guy with little to no magic ability, but he’s extremely physically strong, with his claim that his punch can shatter granite

Natsu is pretty excited to fight him

The other ship is lead by Kareem

Kareem is more magically adept, focusing on magic as opposed to hand-to-hand

Gajeel and Wendy tag team him

Erza and Juvia face off with Ajeel and all eventually manage to overcome their opponents: Natsu punching Bakel through the bottom of his ship causing the ship to crash into the ocean, Gajeel destroys Kareem’s ship casing it to crash land into the ocean, and finally Ajeel tries to best them by turning his ship into sand

The Emilia is getting close to the shore, but they notice the small army waiting. Cana says they’ll have to fight, but Mira says they can’t risk more overwhelming back up arriving, so she uses her Satan Soul Sayla to make all the soldiers go to sleep

The flying FT members meet up with the ground ones and they now take this moments to figure out where they gotta go, Mira using the map Blank gave them has some special marks on them identifying important places

Mystogan and Erza take a small panel to call Doranbolt saying they’ve landed

Freed and Levy deduce that if the Fairy Heart has been stolen by the military and this runs all the way up the government, it’s likely that Fairy Heart could have gone to the capital city of Visterion, in the country of Belserion. But Freed says that it could also possibly go to the magic archive and holding area in the country next to Belserion called Yggrasil (Haven’t fully decided on a name for it yet)

They all come up with a plan to split up and check both of these areas

Natsu says it’ll be quick to get to the capital, because it’s only a couple kilometers from this harbor area

Levy then points out to Natsu that it be stupid to take the direct way to the capital, because it’s the most likely route the entire army would take to make it here

Natsu asks what they should do then and Levy uses her Rune Knight studies in strategy to use this long river that runs through both countries

It not only would avoid the entire pathway the army would use, but it would also be stealthy for FT to get to these two areas then split up

Cut the the palace of Alvarez, Invel is a little annoyed that Ajeel failed to get rid of a small force and Zeref under his breath is quite happy that Natsu was strong enough to make it past Ajeel Squad and looks at the Book of END, though Invel grows rather suspicious.

Brandish and Serena have appeared and have brought Fairy Heart. Zeref is happy to see Mavis again and even more happy his goal is one step closer to completion

Brandish questions how Ajeel could be beaten and Invel says that regardless of failure, Ajeel did give them enough time to assemble all of the Alvarez military and most the civilians have been evacuated up North to the stronghold in the country of Morn.

Invel says his “black carpet” will march all soldiers and several bomber ships will head to the harbor area and fight the Rune Knights

Neinhart questions what about the smaller intruders and Invel explains he figured four possible options: The first is due to the rocky terrain on the west/northwest side of the area, they won’t travel through it on foot, but if they use a ship, they’lll be blasted out of the sky

If the proceed directly from the harbor area to the Palace they’ll run into the “Black Carpet”

third idea is if they try to proceed around the pathway of the carpet which means they’ll be in between the country of Belserion and near Timanshu, a city completely under Wahl and his squads gaze

But if they are extreme and try to avoid the “black carpet” by finding another shore, the only one they’ll land on is Mildian where Dimaria is occupying

If they try to avoid both those they will run into August who’s overlooking the magic archive and holding area

Finally if they choose to go straight at the palace then they’ll end up having to go through the fortress that protects Visterion and where Invel be commanding, Neinhart and his Four Heraldry Knights will assist

God Serena walks up to Zeref saying if he remembers their deal and he says yes, Serena will get to face a dragon king

Cut to Fiore where Sting and Rogue are arguing to let Blue Pegasus to fly them to Alvarez and save Yukino

Bob is not fully allowing, knowing the danger, but Ichiya says consequences be damned, they can’t call themselves men if they just let an innocent soul go unrescued

Cut to Caracoe Island where Jacob lands still using stealth and reveals a “Stealth ship” was there is the other members of black ops to take Yukino to Alvarez (They were going to wait for Lucy, but it appears she’s already on Alvarez) while Jacob and Marin grab the eclipse gate

As the Stealth ship leaves it reveals that under on the ocean floor is the temple Olympia

Marin however, had contacted Jacob revealing his cover had been blown. He was found out by Gildarts who upon releasing his magic,Marin’s stealth destroyed and being interrogated by FT

He doesn’t mention the eclipse gate, but Marin does reveal they wanted Yukino and Lucy for their keys and they were going to meet up on Caracole Island

Gildarts says he’ll go to Caracole and Alvarez, and by go, he’s not taking a ship, but thanks to his crush magic he’s breaking the sea apart and walking through

We then cut to the Warship, Rune Force, where they are nearing the Alvarez harbor area. Doranbolt gets a flash back of Mystogan contacting him

Doranbolt in the present is about to tell them to land when they see the Black Carpet

It cuts to FT who now have reached the point where they split up. The two teams consist of Erza, Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Wendy, Mira, Happy, and Carla in the team heading for the palace, while the second team consists of Cana, Elfman, Juvia, Gajeel, Laxus, Mystogan, Levy, the Thunder god tribe, and Panterlily

They groups both have communication lacrima

Cut back to the War ship (Which also has three magic bombers behind it) meet the black carpet

Doranbolt gets on his loudspeaker and tells the air ships to let them through or any action will result in swift force

The ships however fire and thus we begin the battle of the Alvarez troops and the Rune Knights

Then it cuts to FT entering Timanshu, noticing how cyber punk and industrial it looks

They are ambushed by Wahl, but Laxus says that he and the thunder god tribe will handle him

Wahl is much stronger knowing their weakness and Laxus must fight to try and assist his friends when they’re in danger

Wahl has found this to be Laxus’s weakness along with the magic barrier particles

Wahl reveals who he is and how this mechanical place works, that years ago when the dragons ruled Alvarez the only species that was able to handle the dragons and not die easily was the Machina. But humanity realized this and started creating a method to give them machina powers: Take-Over

Eventually the leader of the Machina ordered a new breed of Machina to be created, one that could analyze all powers and create a weakness

That was Wahl, he was perfect and helped the Machina develop their own capital city, Timanshu

But when the humans of Alvarez unified under this new leader called Irene, Wahl deemed her too powerful and felt that the Machina were the weak race and therefore shouldn’t stay around

Wahl joined Irene and they wiped out the Machina race

Eventually the soldiers start wearing down the Thunder God tribe and Freed has set up a key for Laxus’s victory

A jutsu shiki that nullifies the magic barrier particles and Laxus uses Red Lightning to kill Wahl

The Team Natsu has made it to the fortress Invel keeps infront of Visterion and they try to fight: Deeming that if most the forces are gone then they’ll just bust through

Neinhart deploys the Heraldry Knights

They specialize in the 4 elements (Though Gray tells them that Element 4 were more powerful

Things don’t look good so Neinhart busts out his Historia and using all the villains that have died (Zero, Mard Geer, Hades, Jellal) as well as historia who mess with their mind like Lisanna and Ur

It gets worse when Natsu might have a chance to use his full power when he sees how strong Invel is

But Zeref doesn’t want Natsu to waste his power, so he burns a corner of the book of END and Natsu falls

The other mages all are overwhelmed and Carla flies Wendy away to avoid capture

Team Natsu has fallen. The unconscious are all ordered to go to the jail cells except Natsu by order of Zeref and says to take him to the arena

When Invel questions this, Zeref says this is what he promised God Serena

Cuts to the Rune Knight vs Alvarez forces and things start shifting in Alvarez’s favor when Ajeel’s forces rejoin the fray

The Gods decide they’ll handle the air ships, Jura will meet the troops on the ground, and the Rune Knights should focus on the ground

The gods start destroying the ships and The Christina shows up with Sabertooth on it saying they’re here to help

The Sabertooth mages all get on the ground with Blue Pegasus giving Sting and Rogue a magic four-wheeler. Blue Pegasus staying in the air helping with air attacks

Jura faces off with Ajeel, Orga wants a punch out with Bakel, and Rufus will handle Karrem

It cuts to Fiore where Acnologia says that it’s time as he has healed from his wounds with Igneel

It cuts to the second FT team: Levy is a little concerned about Laxus and the thunder god tribe, but they will have to push through

August and Brandish are awaiting anyone coming near them

Brandish saying that Irene is crazy for aligning herself with Zeref, but August stresses that he will always follow his queen’s commands

It then cuts to Wendy and Carla, Wendy yells at Carla for retreating and Carla says she won’t lose the person she cares about most and reveals she had a premonition of Erza and Mira battered and beaten on the ground

Wendy says she’s a mage of FT and she won’t stop fighting

It cuts to Natsu who awakens to find himself inside a coliseum. There waiting for him is God Serena

Zeref is also there and says that this is “Abyss”, an arena in a city next to Visterion. Zeref tells Natsu that he promised a dragon king for God Serena to fight and says that who wins will be worth fighting Acnlogia

Natsu asks why and Zeref reveals that Natsu and the other 4 DS are from 400 years in the past. Their job was to grow strong and vanquish Acnologia in the this timeline and now it’s time to prove it

Zeref has two hidden intentions though, if Serena can kill Natsu then Zeref truly has nothing to regret when using the Eclipse Gate, but if Natsu defeats Zeref than that means he now has the power to kill him

God Serena has a his backstory told through flashback, but he fights Natsu and is crushing him

Natsu gets a few shots in, but Serena is way to strong, thus pushing Natsu to fully use his Fire Dragon King Mode

It cuts to Lucy and Mira in a cell together, with Gray across from them, and all are surprised to see Yukino

Juliet and Heine show up (They’ve been popping up in the background durning a lot of the Alvarez scenes) and they are here to bring Gray to Invel

Lucy yells about the keys and Juliet reveals they have them, but they’re holding on to the silver and black one as they are not needed

Lucy yeellsks that if they want all the zodiac it’s pointless since she doesn’t now where Aquarius is, but Juliet says that lord Zeref already has it

Mira asks about Erza and Heine says that she’s being brought to Irene

Cut to the fight between Natsu and Serena and it is now on equal footing

Natsu wins, but uses up all his fire dragon king power and Zeref is horrified so he decides to agitate the etherios power in Natsu, but this causes Natsu to pass out

It cuts to Dimaria who’s been itching to fight, but no sign of anybody, but someone does show up and it’s Crime Sociere coming out of the water in the Olympia

It cuts around to the B team (Who with Laxus and The Thundr God Tribe Gone are just Cana, Elfman, Juvia, Gajeel, Mystogan, Levy, and Panterlily) trying to sneak around using Mystogan’s mist to guard them, but find no Fairy Heart in the Alvarez magic archive and study building

They Realize it must be in the capital like they had suspected, but they realize they can’t get in contact with anyone meaning they’ve likely been captured

August discovers them and he takes on Mystogan, Gajeel, and Elfman

Brandish takes on Levy and Cana

It then cuts to Sting, Rogue, and Minerva on the magic four-wheeler en route to Visterion

We cut to Fiore where Jacob has successfully stolen the eclipse gate and has landed on Caracole Island, but due to how massive the thing is and it absorbing a lot of Magic from him, he needs to rest, but while there he notices someone coming towards Caracole, Gildart who took so long because he didn’t bother getting a boat

Jacob has hidden his presence, but notices Gildarts now talking to Blank about the Fairy Tail guild, but then there’s something else coming, Acnologia

Jacob uses the ensuing chaos to get out of there with the gate, but Gildarts tells Blank to evacuate as many people as he can from the Island and Gildarts will fight Acnologia

They fight with it nearly leveling the entire island, but Gildarts giving it everything is not enough, however, even Acnologia needs to recuperate

In Milidan, Crime Sociere deals with some of Dimaria’s squad, but then Dimaria gets an audience with them Ultear feeling something odd about her. Racer even feels it too

It cuts to the fight with August and Brandish: while it semi focuses on August and fight revealing he’s mastered every caster type magic, it mainly focuses on Levy and Cana managing to pull one over on Brandish, but then Brandish gets big. Levy says to use Fairy Glitter on Brandish, but she’ll just shrink it

But the Thunder God Tribe returns to help against Brandish

It then cuts too the capital where Gray is now awoken by Invel

Invel begins trying to force Gray into his devil slaying magic, infuriating him and letting him give into his anger, even having Neinhart make a long distance Historia of Ur to mess with him

We see that Invel mentally doesn’t trust Zeref as when we see in flashback when Zeref made his offer to Irene to make her human and how he wants Acnologia dead

Invel continued to question it saying that even with their power, the chance of beating Acnologia is near impossible, but Zeref reveals that he can’t kill Acnologia, because acnologia is the Black Dragon, he eats Black Magic, so his death perdition doesn’t work

He reveals that he can make Irene human by stopping the process before it happens, with the Eclipse Gate and the Heart he’ll be able to open a hole in time and stop Irene from losing her humanity and by doing that back in the past, she’ll be able to kill Acnologia early

But Invel is still suspicious of Zeref and says altering history like that would mean their glorious empire won’t be built

But Zeref has agreed to let Irene give herself the complete history of Alvarez so the whole continent can still be under her rule, just under the banner of Dragnof

Invel asked Dimaria if she was okay with this and Dimaria just said it’s time being altered, not destroyed so there’s no need to stop this plan

But Invel is afraid of Zeref’s own want to die will interfer with the altering history thus wasting their time, so with Gray’s Devil Slayer magic, Invel will use him to kill Natsu, stopping Zeref from screwing all of them over

He gets the shit kicked out him by Gray, but then tells him about Natsu and Gray begins a trek to his location

Cut to Wendy sneaking into the palace prison to find her captured friends

It cuts to Milidan where Dimaria and Crime Sociere are and they fight

Ultear then finds out about Zeref’s plan and says that she’s there to kill Zeref, but Dimaria reveals that she is Chronos

Cobra questions if she’s the goddess of time, then why would she allow this to happen

Chronos explains that it doesn’t care if tihs timeline is altered, time still exists. It’s not like Zeref wants to be the king of time or anything, he just wants to alter history

Comparing it to the Celestial Spirit King, does he care about anything unless the stars that he is god of start going out or does Ankherseram care what happens to life as long as it obeys his laws

Utear has to sacrifice everything to help beat Dimaria and Cobra and Meredy say they’ll beat Zeref

Wendy busts everyone out of jail, but they are caught by Heine and Juliet, but Mira makes quick work of them

Lucy and Yukino hunt for their keys, but Mira and Wendy go ahead and try to find Erza

Erza awakens in a room to find herself dressed in new clothing and face to face with Irene

It cuts to August who’s defeated Mystogan, but Now Cana joins the fray with Gajeel and Elfman

The thunder god tribe bring down Brandish, infuriating August who transforms into his dark mode, saying they will not stop Ragnorak. Then proceeds to just stomps on the other characters

The enraged Gray comes across the transforming Natsu and they battle, Gray still being manipulated to do his deeds and Natsu being driven by the promise to his father to kill Zeref and they clash

The clash is inter cut with Sabertooth arriving at the fortress outside VIsterion where Neinhart is and they fight

Gray and Natsu’s clash ultimately falls in favor of Gray, but he realizes he can’t kill Natsu, because he’s might be END, but he’s still Natsu

Natsu is unconscious and Gray decides to carry him on his back

It cuts to the fight with August and Brandish, August is incredibly strong, but Cana whips out Fairy Glitter

Fairy Glitter, does massive damage to August, but it isn’t enough and August says he’ll crush them all starting with Levy

After everything Gajeel stands up and unlocks dragon force and fights August

Gajeel targets each wound caused by his friends on August thus beating him back the fight ends with Gajeel defeating August

Gajeel doesn’t want to strike a final blow even though August tells him to, but Brandish stops August

Bradish has been moved by Ishgar and their quest to keep Fairy Heart from doing damage and August reveals what Ragnorak is, the end of all current things. Zeref’s plan will likely erase this timeline completely

It cuts to Irene and Erza who are discussing. Erza is shocked at Irene and questions how she’s here and ruler of Alvarez

Irene begins a flashback and how she ruled the kingdom of Dragnof

Dragnof was different from the dragons in the west, the eastern dragons were very virtuous and kind, Belserion the sage Dragon raising the young queen after her parents had died

Belserion was the leader due to his wisdom and he expressed how the dragons of the west were going to expand their influence to the east

Irene and the humans wanted to assist, but her husband says it would be a waste given how strong dragons are

It became evident that even with the power dragons of the east had, they were no where near as capable of battle as the ones from the west

Irene then used her enchantment to give herself dragon magic. Through this the battle hardened soldiers of Dragnof could fight with the strength of Dragons

Even though this help turn the tide slightly in favor of the east it was still difficult, the western dragons were relentless

Soon more capable people had to be drafted into the war with one of them being the child taken in by the black dragon. This child was Acnologia

The battle was turning in favor of Dragnof now, even people praising the soldier Acnologia, how just for being a new recruit he’s been a monster. Winning many battles

Irene’s husband does feel a little threatened by the fact a 17 year old orphan could do that

But Irene reveals she’s becoming more like a dragon. She freaks wanting to reverse this, believing her husband when he says it would be okay for them to divert concentration to finding a cure

More soldiers started developing these signs and one of them of is Acnologia

Eventually Irene thought she had created a cure with dragon lacrima, but Acnologia had went on a rampage killing indiscriminately, with the lacrima being lost and Irene and her family fleeing the country

Dragnof had fallen, but the war was won by Igneel and a coalition of western dragons who supported living with humans

Irene had fully been suspected as being a dragon from her husband’s kingdom and she was forced into her dragon form

Irene went into hiding with her eventually gicing birth to the human Erza, she waas unfit to raise Erza

She wasn’t born a dragon like Belserion and thought that she herself mattered more

Zeref had appeared and offered to help Irene. He brought her to Alvarez and gave her human form, telling her to rally the people and with her leadership skill she can make herself an strong empire

She however hesitated with Erza not knowing what to do with her. She couldn’t kill her so Zeref had agreed that he could make sure she never had to deal with her

He took her to the eclipse gate, but Igneel couldn’t give her any of his dragon slaying magic, but Zeref said don’t bother just bring her through the gate and drop her off at some orphanage

Grandeeney did and left her in Rosemary

Irene then with no more qualms and no more worries started to take over and expand Alvarez and though victory was sweet, she could never enjoy it and she longed to be human once more

Erza questions why did she bother telling her this and Irene wanted to ask Erza if she could convince her friends to open the Eclipse gate, so Irene could stop the fall of Dragnof and loss of her humanity

It cuts out to sea where GIldarts awakens in a sickbay on the “Caracole Deep” a facility for emergences and Blank explains that they ran from Acnologia, who is now revitalized and heading for Alvarez

It cuts to Jacob, finally appearing with the Eclipse gate, and Zeref says he’ll just need to modify the Fairy Heart to it, so that he may be able to add to the eclipse gate’s power

Jacob questions why and Zeref expains that the gate can only be connected by another gate in time, but the issue with the gate is it wasn’t invented till after Irene had turned into a dragon so tere’s no way to go back and stop it, but with the Fairy Heart’s infinite magic power, he’s going to rip a hole in time. Go back before the eclipse gate was made and stop everything before it happens

It cuts to Erza asking why Irene would do this and Irene wants her humanity back, her happiness. And Erza can share in that

Erza is confused for a moment hearing Irene’s story and the realization that she has always been alive

Erza tells her that no matter what she would never side with someone so selfish. Even if they plan on benefiting the world, going about it for selfish reasons and endangering everyone with little regard. Is no one she would join (Remembering Jellal) No matter how much she cared about them

Irene says that she’s Erza’s mother and she can’t believe Erza would call her that and Erza says her parent is Makarov

Irene in anger tells her that she is part of the problem and blasts her out of the palace

Erza fights her for a bit, but then Mira and Wendy show up and help fight

It cuts to the recovering B team and Brandish offering to go to the palace as their captive and let them get close to Irene

They agree but realize they’ll need to walk on foot, but then Crime Sociere shows up and they say they’re going to the same place (with Dimaria as their hostage)

Irene enters her dragon form and begins to fight and the FT mages realize they are outclassed

It cuts to Sabertooth and their four-wheeler letting Gray and Natsu ride with them up to the palace Natsu inside his “heart”

There he talks with Igneel and we learn about Natsu’s past a bit

How Igneel met Zeref and how it affected his view on humans and how he couldn’t defeat END

Natsu says all he wants to do is honor Igneel’s last wishes, but he can’t without killing Zeref. Natsu cries and starts saying how he feels like a failure for never finding Igneel and an even bigger failure watching him die

He wants to make it up by killing Zeref like he asked, but with the dragon power gone, he’ll have to rely on END’s power

Igneel says that Natsu will always be his Natsu, no matter what

Natsu asks if he uses END’s power he might kill people, he doesn’t want to endanger his friends

Igneel tells Natsu that he isn’t alone, his friends will be there, if he becomes END or gives into that power he’ll have them to fall back on

Natsu says he’ll stop this empire and save the guild

He awakens on the four-wheeler and is all ready to fight

Erza’s group tries everything, but nothing works, but Irene halts when she notices Acnologia far off coming towards Alvarez

Cut to the battleground between Ishgar and Alvarez

The Ishgar forces are giving a real beat down, Orga punching-out Bakel, Rufus defeating Kareem, and Jura slamming Ajeel into the ground

Then Acnologia shows up on the radar and just blast through all sky traffic

Blue Pegasus is able to take sudden action, but Rune Force falls to the ground, and smaller bomber ships are just annihilated.

Everyone knows this looks the end with Acnologia approaching Visterion, Irene tries to slow him down so Zeref has the time to finish the gate, by summoning all manner off things to contain him

Irene then returns to Human form and rushes to her palace

All the groups start converging, the Sabertooth four-wheeler finding where Erza, Mira, and Wendy are and offer support

Natsu and Gray run to confront Zeref and they run into Lucy and Yukino, who still haven’t located their keys

Cut to Zeref saying that he’ll have his happy ending and Jacob questions how the door will open and Zeref says that he knows celestial spirit magic as being taught by Anna

Jacob says if he’s finished then he’ll get Irene, but Zeref says Irene will not get her hands on this, saying that her life is not worth it and kills Jacob

Irene is livid, she can’t believe that she was lied to by Zeref and he kills her with death pillar when she yells she’ll run through the gate

Natsu, Gray, Lucy, and Yukino show up, saying they’re here to stop him

Zeref reveals what his plans are and how he was just using Irene. He’ll open this portal, but he’ll walk through, he wouldn’t waste it on Irene

Lucy asks how Zeref got the Aquarius key and he says he found it in his travels, he had heard of its destruction over Tartaros and spent a year looking for it, making Lucy feel guilty for never finding it

natsu asks if he wants to die why not let Acnologia kill him and Zeref says he tried, but it failed, and then Natsu asks why he doesn’t kill Acnologia if he views him as a threat

Zeref says Acnologia was born from fighting and killing dragons, it’s what he lives for, but if all DS die, then in his boredom, he’ll spend his time crushing humans to rid his boredom

Zeref being Immortal will most likely become his plaything

Zeref opens the gate and they feel the immense time magic, soon the sky starts glowing white, as all over the people realize this

Zeref says that this time will cease to be, but of course the team won’t let him pass

Natsu says they don’t have to beat Zeref or kill him, they just gotta stop him from entering the gates

Lucy and Yukino are in charge of destroying the gate, while Gray and Natsu fight Zeref

Lucy and Yukino realize that with only their silver keys there isn’t much they can do, but with Yukino’s black key they can do damage

Lucy also hears the voices of all the celestial spirits and says she won’t let them down

Zeref keeps getting pushed back as he launches every magic he’s learned at them

Natsu enters Dragon force and Gray enters Devil Slayer mode and they continue to push back

Natsu tells Gray he’s fully ready to use END’s power to fight, but if so, Gray will have to stop him

The fight keeps going with Yukino and Ophiuchus doing most heavy damage and Lucy using her Fleuve d'étoiles to help

Lucy yells they’ll need more power and notices that it’s to destroy if only they had more power

When Zeref is fully ready to kill with his opponents, Ophiuchus uses its body to shield Natsu and Gray

With it being a spirit, it won’t die from the black magic

Lucy casts Urano Metria and destroys the gate

The sky returns to normal and Zeref is horrified that his plan has failed, so he runs away defeated

It cuts to the B team and Crime Sociere who now at the palace are wondering where Zeref went, Meredy saying she wants to know (Brandish as well)

But they all hear about Erza’s order to retreat and how he yells that he still smells dragons

They all debate what to do when they she Acnologia shrink and disappear, Erza saying that he’s entered his human form

Natsu says that he and the DS came from the past to fight this beast and that’s what they should do, not keep running

They all talk for a moment, saying how he’s a beast, but all the DS agree to work together

They meet Acnologia and if you’ve read my “How I would do Fairy Tail’s ending” post you know where this is going

Some minor changes like it’s all soldiers helping take down the king’s roar, Brandish slapping Zeref and yelling how he now has to take responsibility for what he’s done, Meredy is also there expressing how she wants to kill him etc.

Natsu dies happily with everyone returning to Ishgar and the series ends with a flash forward showing everybody got their happy ending
