my issue is that just rewatching Supernatural isn’t enough. It takes too long. I want it all at once. I need a room covered in 327 monitors that feed me every single episode at the same time. I am starting a new show! (I have been saying this a while now BUT COLLEGE IS GONE FOR THE YEAR SO FREEDOM!) plus its the last day of pride so I will start one

I am so indecisive I am putting: Gravity Falls; Deadend paranormal park; Amphibia; or Supergirl (the only non-cartoon and non-wlw canon show but shush katie mcgrath owns my heart), into a virtual spinning wheel to decide which to watch!

The great thing about the White Collar OT3 is that at no point does the introduction of Neal into El and Peter's everyday lives never feels like a threat to Peter and El's marriage.

Like from the moment Neal shows up at their house in episode one he and El hit it off.

Within the first 5 episodes Neal and El have figured out they have similar knowledge and interest in the finer things, they're sharing looks over how Peter talks about and will react to things, El is telling Peter to trust in Neal a little, Neal is helping make sure they have a lovely anniversary, and El is calling Neal in to mediate/help prove her point in mini arguments to make Peter do stuff.

They also work really well because while Peter, El, and Neal might all be slightly different flavours and intensities of hyper competent adrenaline junkie weirdos, all three of them are intensely loyal to "their people" so the second El and Neal recognised that they both trust Peter as someone who will always try to do the right thing and respect them they were like "oh green flag."

i already posted abt this somewhere else but i was infodumping abt voltron to my best friend last night and went to rewatch the "i cradled you in my arms" scene so i could remember it properly and i paused right after lance said he didnt remember anything and im fucking pissing myself this is a man that is truly defeated like he wanted lance coming out of the healing pod to be like every fanfic where they have a crazy romantic reconciliation post healing pod and it simply did not happen. if i were keith here id flee the country. the look of simultaneous pain and confusion and emptiness is impossible to articulate. going thru every stage of grief at once. how they managed to fit this much anguish in so few lines is beyond me. and all over a man who listens to weezer and uses axe

i dont remember anyones names so this is gonna sound partly unhinged. okay so the edward norton playwright and jason schwartzman actor (not character, in the black and white parts) are lovers right. tbh i thought this was kind of a gag and forgot about it. but later we find out that the playwright died 6 months into the production. i didnt make the connection that THAT’s why the actor-jason has to suddenly leave the stage and freaks out backstage about how he’s not sure he’s Doing it right. hes not talking about acting!! because he himself is literally grieving his lover while he’s playing a character who’s grieving his wife written by his lover so obviously it’s too much!!! actor-jason is trying to find meaning in his death through his writing but there isnt any meaning in death [gerris drinkwater voice] which is what the play is trying to say anyway. he doesnt think he’s performing grief right even in his own life!!! (and tbh it’s the 50s so he wouldnt be able to perform grief publicly anyway!!!!) the play starts with a car accident… anyone would search for some hidden meaning there, some sign…. so when he talks to margot robbie outside it’s not really about finding the CHARACTER’s motivations it’s about the actor himself being able to process the playwright’s death! and adrien brody director was probably also dealing with that too (him and norton seemed to be good buddies) so the whole “sleeping backstage” thing gets a bit sadder maybe? maybe everyone else got this in the theatre and im just stupid lol but crazy making stuff to me!!! the whole story is about sublimated gay grief that cannot be expressed?!?!

the tweet that caught me onto this was here which posits that the playwright’s death was a suicide but i think that’s pretty stupid and unnecessary because the whole thing about the play asteroid city is that death is random and meaningless. im pretty sure that’s what the alien represents— a shocking and absurd event that isnt outright evil or menacing, not something anyone can predict or make sense of, it’s just a thing that happens to you out of nowhere, it doesnt mean anything. he’s a little black figure, he’s death! giving and taking! aagh

There’s NOTHING that will convince me that Lestat didn’t love Claudia. He showered her with gifts and bought her clothes and called her beautiful and ma petite and every other pet name he could think of. He taught her to hunt and was proud of her ferociousness. He taught her to drive and was worried she would hurt herself. He defended her when Louis disapproved how she was acting around people. He loved to make her laugh! He danced with her! At the funeral Louis tells her to go chat with Lestat because he knows they enjoy each other’s company! Lestat did try to connect with her and willingly spent time with her and they understood each other the way they didn't with Louis. Lestat was the one who suggested Claudia would be their daughter and later resisted when she wanted to stop being viewed as that!

In the beginning Lestat seemed to enjoy having Claudia around and it’s only when he starts to feel she’s coming between him and Louis that he starts to despise her. Even then i don’t think he ever stops loving her. Even when he’s cruel you can see it behind his actions. The way he acts after Charlie’s death (the event that begins the deterioration of their relationship) is sadistic but i think he really was trying to teach her in a harsh way, it’s just that he’s deranged and has no idea how parenting is supposed to work. He’s concerned when he sees how Claudia has changed after she was gone and wants to know what happened, and though he later uses it against her i think he was genuinely worried (and until proven otherwise i headcanon that he found Bruce and killed him). When she prevents her from leaving and drags her home because Louis would leave him or kill himself if she’s not around i think he also genuinely wanted to protect Claudia because he knew she wouldn’t survive Europe alone. And he actually says it but masks it with sarcastic mockery because at that point he and Claudia can’t show any weakness in front of each other. When he bitches to Antoinette about her ungratefulness that’s not a monster talking about his enemy but a narcissistic parent feeling genuine emotional hurt over perceived slights. And like Sam said Lestat was actually proud of her in the finale. Because that’s his girl! Evil of his evil! That’s his goddamn daughter! He’s just so fucked up and blinded by his bitterness  and debilitating fear of abandonment that he manages to convince himself that he hates her. But he loves her. And when she actually dies i want him to fucking cry and grieve and regret for the rest of eternity

Tae Myungha grew on me to become one of my favorite characters. He is so precious, so supportive, so positive, so attentive. He tries so hard to take care of and make Yeowoon and his friends happy. He defends himself and his friends. He doesn't let them belittle themselves. He has the sweetest soul ever, and learning that he was actually depressed and miserable before broke my heart. Watching him learn that he deserves to be loved makes me want to scream honestly and I will never get over it
