I have such a fascination with angelic wings.

At the same time as beautiful they are, they are the source of the angels' power, something connected not to their bodies designed to resemble anything humanoid, but something coming from their own soul, their own spirituality.

That's why it's so painful to take them away.

You are not just hurting an angel's arm, or just a trace of that bodily form he formed, you are ripping out part of his purest soul, the purest being that he is, you are literally making him suffer an agony that will never recover, a piece of his own power, soul and spirit, a tremendous pain that absolutely no human body could withstand, it is like the most grotesque and most physical form of a wound that goes so, so deep from someone, it is such a painful and horrible feeling for any angel, ANY angel, from the weakest to the strongest, they always have this weakness, they always expose their souls so that they can get their source of power, only to have them ripped away of himself in such a brutal and painful way, part of his purity simply being ripped away in the most physical way possible, his entire body couldn't bear it, his soul couldn't bear it, it's such a great abstinence for this power that God gave him, it's something so so painful that no type of spiritual and physical regeneration will be able to completely recover, simply one of the worst and most brutal sensations.

That's why I love it.
