Cherry Lips
A few of the boys’ reactions to a reader who enjoys a bold red lip.
Moodboard pictures all sourced from Pinterest.
Neil Lewis
Every time that he sees you, you are always wearing some shade of red lipstick. At first it freaked him out a bit because he thought it was intimidating, that you would be unapproachable, but that all changed when he got to know you properly.
You’d have a conversation one day and he’d say that it reminded him of classic movie stars when red lips were all the range in the golden era of cinema. By chance it turned out that you got the idea to try it out from watching Marilyn Monroe in ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’ and hadn’t looked back since.
You can be certain that he will ask you along to promotions when he does them for classic movies, dressing up together like a couple from a classic film noir.
Lenny Miller
When you first met him it was your lipstick that made a lasting impression, specifically on his shirt collar which he found days later when he realised that the stain hadn’t washed out. When you started to date each other he realised quickly that it was a part of your image that you never went without.
When you eventually starting going away together for weekends he became more acquainted with your makeup collection, he was the one that started treating you to ridiculously expensive lipstick that you could never otherwise afford, moving you away from the drugstore ones that you used to use. When you asked him why he just said that “If you’re going to make such a statement, then you might as well do it properly.”
Jonathon Crane
He may be just about as obsessed about your lipstick as you are. He loves how confident and sexy wearing it makes you feel, which in turn makes him feel powerful for having been able to claim you.
When you’re home alone together he will frequently ask you to kiss him, loving the way that the transfer mark makes him feel like he belongs to you. He’ll quite often go to work with a patchwork of lipstick marks across his collar bones. No-one else can see them but he knows that they’re there, it’s like he’s carrying around a little piece of you with him all day.
Robert Fischer
He loves the way that red lipstick looks on you, but he isn’t so much a fan of the more practical side of you wearing it. There have been many times at galas where you have absent-mindedly gone to kiss him, leaving him with a mark on his cheek that he has to awkwardly rush to the toilets to clean away before anyone sees it.
Whenever he travels he makes a joke of bringing you back a new shade of red, so you now have a very large and international collection.
His favourite thing about it though is how you light up as soon as you put it on every morning. It’s like you put on armour, ready to go into battle, and it reminds him that there is nothing that you cannot face together.
