So you're telling me the yungblud released a new album about a month ago, sleeping with sirens and nothing more released an album on the same day for the first time in what seems like forever, blink-182 is back together and is putting out new music, black veil brides has an EP coming out on the 21st, palaye royale is also debuting a new album on the 28th, pierce the veil put out a single for the first time in 6 years AND they're supposed to have the new album out sometime soon, Paramore also released a new song, and is putting out an album in February, AND there is rumors of a 5th studio album from American Cock Band, My Chemical Romance, not to mention they are on tour?!?

X-Men: Evolution

Just Random Thoughts

Anyone else find it interesting that 616!Rogue likes or is fine with cats, so she also adopts Gambit’s beloved cats as they got married, whereas X-Men:Evo!Rogue canonically hates cats? (See season 1, episode 12: The Cauldron Pt 1)

I interpret two different takes that might coexist:

I have no idea if cat!Mystique ever spied on Rogue after she was adopted despite all evidence pointing her out as a very distant parent barely there. However, imagine little Rogue trying to have some fun and/or do something that wasn’t always within the rules both Raven and Irene implemented to raise her/make sure she developed well into what they believed her best potential, and somehow there was always a random cat creeping up to her/hissing/staring that wound up unnerving her and change her mind. Maybe Rogue tried to tell Irene about this, but Irene gently suggests to the poor little girl that it was all in her head and cats were NOT out to get her, only later making a phone call to Raven to suggest she tone her surveillance down a tad. Regardless of whether or not Raven heeds her, the damage is already done. Rogue remained uneasy regarding cats. ^ All of this in a way foreshadowed her eventual relationship with Mystique. Because Mystique refused to be upfront with her, relying on micromanaging (semi via Irene) and controlling, gaslighting, passive-aggressive to aggressive pressure to intimidate Rogue into following her, the former only succeeded in creating an irreparable distance between her and her foster daughter.

If X-Men:Evo!Gambit/Remy also liked cats, this could have been played with as they tried to maneuver a relationship, but then ultimately decide to part ways since for all of their few similarities, there’s only so much differences small (the cats) and big (methods/goals/priorities) that they can compromise on for so long before they both agree that they are better off as friends at best.

Y'all..... Don't come for me but I just realized that Rogue's goth look in X-Men: Evolution was meant to be a very punny visual metaphor. Cause she's a goth....From the South. She's a Southern gothic. People who read will get it.

Y'know, I've said this before and idk how common a misconception this is anymore, but the act of true love that saves Anna in Frozen is NOT Elsa hugging her corpse. The act of true love that thawed Anna's frozen heart was throwing herself in front of Elsa, fully prepared to die so her sister could live. The cursed individual must preform the act of true love, not have it preformed towards them. I've seen a lot of people complain about how Olaf tending the fire so Anna wouldn't freeze to death right then and there should've counted, but it didn't because again, Anna had to preform The Act. I do wish somebody in-universe pointed that out at some point but fuckin- whatever it's whatever. I think the movie should've dug into that concept a little more, really, because it speaks to the fact that, no matter how hard you try to change someone with a *metaphorical* frozen heart, in the end, it's really up to them wether they change their ways or not

I find it ironic and honestly kind of cruel, in a meta-sense, that Anna, arguably the most love-filled person in the entire movie, had to be cursed like that. Usually, in fairytales, that kind of curse would be put on somebody deemed incapable of love by the curser. It's why the Beast in Beauty & the Beast is cursed, and I uh. I can't really think of any other examples off the top of my head but I think you get the point. Anna didn't need to learn that lesson, though. I don't think she even REALIZED she needed to preform the act of true love until after the events of the movie, if at all. It is, once again, a very interesting concept that I wish the movie dug into a little more. I've said it before and I'll say it again: FROZEN NEEDED MORE TIME TO TELL ITS STORY IN A SATISFYING WAY. The writers present so many genuinely interesting concepts, one after another, and then barely scratch the surface of their potential because they're too busy trying to keep the plot going. It's really frustrating.

Edit: So, upon rewatched the movie the other day, it turns out Olaf DOES point out that Anna was the one who preformed the act of true love, and in a way that was just obvious enough that it makes you wonder how anybody missed it, but just subtle enough that at the same time I can kinda see why? Idk Im writing this at fuckin 3am my thoughts are a fucking mess...

i actually expected the QC spin-off to be better based on the trailer and the reviews?

i think handling lady danburys character better could've made all the difference for example. they had an actress like arsema, who shines in every scene she's in, playing an already well beloved character and they just...wasted her? they gave lady danbury the most wretched, miserable arc imaginable.

was the constant on-screen marital rape necessary? couldn't they just establish that she wasn't happy or in love with her husband and be done with it without her being brutalised?

also imagine how different the agatha/lord ledger story could've been had they let him be an attractive man close to her age. they would've killed the forbidden-love-that-couldn't-be trope! bonus points if he was alive in the present timeline and lady d got her HEA#

i mean, when you have george and charlotte as your leads, whose story we know beforehand ends in tragedy, shouldn't you at least give your secondary characters a happy ending instead of torturing them? especially when that character is a black woman.

on the plus side the main couple was solid, michelle fairley was great in her role and brimsley/reynolds were a treat–though same as with lady d applies here: is no one allowed to have a happy ending in this show?? it's an especially bad look given that we're talking about woc and gay men.

on a less serious note, one of the things that made bridgerton popular back when it premiered, which i found lacking in QC, is family being at the centre of the story...and that kinda felt like an issue in s2 as well? i miss the banter and sibling dynamics and chaotic family scenes 🙄 they could've tried to replicate this playfulness with charlotte’s kids (i thought the family scene in the premiere was pretty fun) but they didn't do much with them.

My mini contribution to @echoes-lighthouse's Evil Slasher Orphanage! My wife Anna and I are here to help, and brought a few more kids of our own.

I really thought I was a horror fan until I sat down to draw this and came up blank. I guess I'm not a slasher guy, because a LOT more Monsters and Beasts came to mind, so it took a while to form a list. Though I did include Sam who is certainly a Creeture but.. They're human enough.

I’m just so curious to know what the decision making was like behind the way Tess looks in the show. Like you all know I am ever so slightly obsessed with Anna and her portrayal of Tess. But like. I just wish she’d looked slightly more game accurate. And they totally could’ve done that with Anna. Like even just giving her her damn bandana yk 😭
