Humanity peaked when Viggo Mortensen was cast as Aragorn in LOTR.
We’ve gone downhill ever since.

Aragorn Stimboard!!
🐎 🏹 🌱 | 🐎 🏹 🌱 | 🐎 🏹 🌱
🌼 media: lord of the rings
🐝 age appropriate? yes! it's rated PG13 but despite the fact it has some more intense and darker themes/scenes, it's overall a very tolerable watch! just check any warnings before watching and remember, it's always okay to turn anything off if it isn't for you! <3
🍯 rqd by: anon! <3
🌻 note: my mum is a huuuugeeee fantasy geek and introduced me to the lord of the rings and i've finally managed to buy my own copy of the hobbit!! it's only a cheap paperback but i've got my eye on a beautiful leather bound version at my local collecters bookshop!

Aragorn as a barista
OK, this was a tough one! It took me a while to think of a circumstance under which the bearer of the Sword that was Broken might end up acting as a barista.
However, I did eventually come up with an idea! Here you go:
Leave it to the Hobbits, Aragorn thought, to be the ones to actually open trade with Harad...for food, of course.
He, himself, was accustomed to waking early in the morning, so he did not derive much use from the bitter, aromatic beverage that was his hobbit friends' latest discovery.
However, he had rapidly discovered that proximity to a steaming cup of coffee could wake even the most recalcitrant halfling out of his blanket nest, so, every morning, he poured out two cups and set them on warm stones near their intended recipients: only two cups, because giving coffee to Pippin was a mistake he would never, ever make again.
(This was fun to write; thank you for asking it! The game is found here, for anyone who'd like a three-sentence fic tonight.)

Happy birthday!! 🥳 This is such a fun way to celebrate—thanks for sharing your birthday with us! I'd like to request a moodboard or doodle for @hobbitwrangler's The Power of Tea, if you have the time. 🥰💛 — @emyn-arnens
Your Fic Rec: "The Power of Tea" (Gilraen and Bilbo)
My "Comment Doodle":
The purpose of this game is to "comment" via artwork alone and without words. But I read and truly enjoyed this amazing fic even before you recommended it, @emyn-arnens! :) How good of you to submit the very talented @hobbitwrangler's work--this definitely deserves MANY more notes than it currently has!
This "Fic Comment by Artwork" Game was part of SotWK's Summer Campfire Sleepover 2024.

word: secret
"Ah, keeping secrets from Father now, are we?" Elladan's voice was more biting than he intended, and inwardly he winced at Estel's flinch. But he didn't miss the guilty way the boy shoved his hands under the pillow as he turned, contorting his body to shield whatever it was from the tall elf's view.
"It is a good secret, on my honour, I promise," and grey eyes pleaded with his adoptive brother, so that Elladan gave way easily.
"Oh, very well, Estel, keep it to yourself then," he said, but his hand on the boy's shoulder was loving, and the answering smile was a bright one.

Éomer passed the mug over and raised his brows expectantly.
Thank you for the ask! I am relishing some writing after a Very Long Week, so you get a couple of extra sentences ;)
Éomer passed the mug over and raised his brows expectantly. They had worked their way through all the wines in Aragorn’s cellar, with no errors yet, but he hazarded that the tapping of the ale barrels might still lead to his win. Elves were reported not to like the stuff – it was not strong enough, or fruity enough, or bloody enough, depending on who you asked.
“Hmmm.” There was enough hesitation in that considering sound to make Éomer grin, anticipating victory. “Malty-sweet, this one. Likely a winter brewing, and that from several years ago. Grain from the sweet heart of the Folde, I should say, ‘round Aldberg?”
Arwen tugged off the blindfold and licked the foam from her upper lip with a grin as Aragorn roared in the face of Éomer’s bewilderment. “You’ll never catch her out!” the laughing King cried, and Éomer could only bow and admit that in this, too, truly, the Evenstar was Queen.
Still taking ficlet prompts to see me through Much Turmoil at work. Send me a sentence and I'll send you six or so back.
