Ok so I am probably not the first person to notice this or point it out since I've only been a byler for like six months... BUT I did maybe go a little crazy about this. So I'm gonna talk about it.

So a few days ago I was thinking about the mlvn endgame argument "well Mike said 'I love you' nine times". And like, first of all, saying "I love you" doesn't undo a year's worth of deliberate lying and miscommunication. That's not how relationships work. Their issues are still very much real and very much not going anywhere because they're not even TRYING to do anything about them. But also... I was thinking: why nine times? Why that number specifically? Was it just random? Is there maybe anything to indicate that nine is significant? Is there maybe a scene in the first episode of s4 that tells us how we should react to the monologue?

So, the DND basketball montage. Great stuff. Amazing foreshadowing. Everyone loved it.

I got to thinking about it. Decided I needed to know what Mike's roll was. I kinda spiraled about it on twitter because I could not see it clearly and I couldn't tell if it was an eight or nine. Desperate times called for desperate measures so I recorded my tablet with my phone and found the perfect frame.

IT'S A NINE

CLEAR AS DAY! IT'S A NINE! GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!

Anyway, I don't know how DND works. I don't know why this roll evoked the reaction it did from the party - most significantly, Mike's very disgruntled reaction (I don't mean The Party™ I just mean literally the party that is playing this campaign) I genuinely don't know what the fuck is going on in this game. But what I do know is they wanted us to associate this roll with failure. That's why it corresponds with a missed basket in the basketball game. That's why Eddie gets this ooo that sucks for you guys look on his face. That's why we hear a chorus of "nooo" from the party. That's why Mike says "no no no" and looks extremely upset. I don't know anything about DND, but I can read context clues.

So I'm not going to try to understand what's going on in the game, I'm just gonna go off what I think they wanted us to subconsciously pick up on.

So they show us all of this. They associate Mike with the number nine in the first episode and then that number shows up AGAIN in the last episode.

The monologue cannot be associated with anything but failure. Whether that be mlvns failing relationship, or their very real failure to save Max (at least before El revived her), and their failure to save Hawkins. The monologue does not stand apart from that. It is completely interwoven with these failures. If you have average media literacy, you know that. Even before I was aware of just how important byler is to this entire story, before I was aware that they've been setting up byler endgame since day one, you would never catch me thinking that the monologue was supposed to be received positively by the audience. You would never catch me saying mlvns love saved the world. (Although that's because I genuinely forgot about mlvn a few weeks after I watched s4). I think I received the monologue in the way it was intended to be received. I didn't fully understand it, or why they would execute it the way they did, but I still received it in the way I believe it was intended to be.

So I know the general agreement among bylers is that the monologue kinda sealed the deal for mlvn bones. Like I'm not saying anything new really. But I genuinely do think that Mike's roll in episode one, the reactions to it, and the missed shot it corresponds with were meant to foreshadow the monologue and how they wanted the audience to receive it.

This is fiction, everything means something. Everything is thought of. The timer (and maybe scores, I genuinely can't remember) in the basketball game had significance. Other rolls in the DND game had significance. Why would that be any different for Mike? Especially when his roll was a nine and that number shows up for him again when he says "I love you" nine times. And both of these things are associated with failure.

Not that we need any other reason to interpret the monologue as a less than good thing. It's just the way that it is, it's pretty easy to figure out how they wanted us to take it. But they still did give us a hint. I think it's really cool.

Finally got to see last night's episode.

-How does Issac "have" money. I'm sure the check was made out to ONLY Sam. And she put it in HER account. No way did she open a bank account in Issac's name. So how can he "claim" it's his? I'm totally with Jay on this. Issac can't LITERALLY spend it, so how is even ONE CENT his?

YESSS OMG, I am not always the biggest Hetty fan, but I loved her last night! She was fun and cheering Pete up and it's so good. Especially laughing at the Donut Hole bit! LOVED IT.

I've complained about this SO MUCH. It makes 0 sense for Isaac to have money. First because of the whole book was part of "the deal" to leave Sam alone - since they haven't left alone, really - the money for the book should be her compensation. She did the work for it. And second, again, he's a ghost - he doesn't need money and he shouldn't have any. Sam & Jay already do so much for them without anything in return - especially Jay since he can't even see them - so I thought it was ridiculous.

I love Trevor, but the only reason I was okay with what he did there in the episode was A-it helped them, and B-Jay's been always giving him a hard time, so it makes *sense* that he'd be difficult (or encourage Isaac to be difficult).

Anyway, tangent there.

Pete is a BABE magnet. I would've LOVED if Hetty had gotten in on it, too.

I still can't believe Carol was like "I only know from *soaps*" - bitch, please.

I absolutely agree that Isaac was ridiculous about it and Jay was right and I really enjoy the fact that JAY STOOD UP TO THE GHOSTS.

I don't understand the lingering smell - we've never got that indication before? So it feels weird. It should've faded the same way that Flower's hits fade after a time. Or at least after a shower.

YES, Pete went off! He didn't yell, but he was plain and simple getting things off his chest. And I loved it. Also loved Carol's JAW DROP. It was so good.

How'd a miss bonding over butterscotch with Pete and Sass?

I do love the center table thing, but fuck, Isaac didn't apologize did he? Also, it might be a bit weird. Unless, they go with "Haunted" restaurant/B&B (which is what they should've done from the start), and say it's for the ghosts.

Okay okay - So I'm not sold on if that was his power, if it was a dream sequence, or if that is just a thing he can always do but the hair thing is what turned Alberta on? What do you think?

Also, on that note, it felt very 80s/90s, take glasses off and you're suddenly hot moment.

Lastly, the whole TREVOR TAKES TWO HOURS for a password makes no sense. I'm sorry, he was good enough for it to be VERY obvious that a ghost was typing in the Ghost Trap episode in just a very second videos. It feels like they're taking that back and erasing his - getting better at his power thing and it makes 0 sense. Like let him get better at his power now that he can use it all the time. That would make sense, right?

Anyway, didn't like that bit 'cause it makes no sense.

But overall, I'm very, very invested this season.

Umm.. so I think I know what needs to be done in order to bring Solar back properly.. but I think that no one will like the answer..

Exactly just like Dark Sun said.. so.. uhh.. anyway, probably many people are scared that Eclipse will have to sacrifice himself to be able to bring Solar back.. but I doubt that's the case here..

And believe me I wouldn't want Eclipse to sacrifice himself.. but don't you find it a bit odd that Eclipse wouldn't like to sacrifice himself.. I mean we all know that Eclipse has it rough and has mental issues and is most definitely suicidal.. and we know that he's tired of living.. so I think that if he had a chance to give up his life I think that he would do that..

It's not that I don't think that Eclipse doesn't want to live and finally have some good relationships with others or at least Earth for now and maybe be able to become a part of a family.. but I don't doubt that Eclipse sees how much everyone loves Solar and hates him and I bet that Eclipse believes that he won't be accepted by others so what's the point of living?

Now he has a goal - to bring Solar back and he's basically living for this goal because Eclipse doesn't have any purpose in his life outside of what others are telling him to do.. It's really sad but my point is that I think that Eclipse wouldn't be upset (in a sense of what Dark Sun said) if he had to sacrifice himself for Solar..

I think that to safely bring Solar back they need to sacrifice someone indeed.. but it can't be anyone other than Sun..

What's funny is that I was actually thinking about it.. about how Solar was created and I realized that Solar's Sun basically sacrificed himself for Solar to be able to live..

You probably know whre I'm going with this at this point.. yeah.. in order to bring Solar back properly they need to do something similar to his origin in his dimension.. which means sacrificing Sun..

And there's also another thing that is worth pointing out.. and it's the fact that Sun sacrificing himself to bring Solar back would be a parallel to how Old Moon sacrificed himself for KC to live..

And it also would put Moon to a test.. cause remember how Moon said that he'll do anything to bring Solar back? Well.. what if he had to sacrifice his own brother?

That sounds like something Moon wouldn't do, right? And I think that this is where the plot of Sun's death will come into play..

I think that something like that may happen: Moon is budy with doing what he's doing now with Puppet and all that stuff in order to bring Solar back and we know that creator wants Lunar in exchange for helping them bring Solar back.. so I think that when others will be busy with all of this happening Sun will be left aside once again..

And from Sun's second therapy episode we know that Sun is ready to help in any way to be useful.. and because he's suicidal I think that he wouldn't mind being hurt if that means he'll help others.. so I can totally see Sun agreeing to sacrifice himself to bring Solar back..

But here's the thing.. Dark Sun said that Eclipse won't like the answer.. so if I'm right about Eclipse actually caring for Sun.. he definitely wouldn't want Sun to sacrifice himself..

I'm still thinking about what might happen but that's it for now..

And at last.. I think that maybe Moon will talk with Old Moon on the day Old Moon died? I think that would be neat :)

Oh, I forgot.. I think that Dark Sun either wants to use Eclipse for some evil scheme.. or he'll try to prevent bad things from happening using Eclipse as a pawn.. but we shall see..

Just to preference alot of this is my interpretations/HCs/OC and very little of it is cannonical character analysis:

So her name is Penelope Esther Goldman but she just goes by her middle name Esther, as a funny little nod to know SK and Neil are both named Neil, she shares a name with Mrs Priss and I think I had them go to the same collage or something, might have to do the math on their ages again to see if that lines up

(I HC Carl's last name is Pasternak and Neil's is both, hyphenated.)

She's a incredibly intelligent scientist with extensive knowledge in biology, robotics, chemistry, ect ect. Esther doesn't really emote or exspress her emotions in her voice or face much at all, or well.

Carl when they first met was smitten, he was a groovy goofy goober and still is. He'd do that walrus thing with breadsticks in public at restaurants. He'd skate around with a fanny pack dancing to bee gees. Convince her to go to parties and she'd just be pleasantly content to stand there as he's like "that's fine I can dance enough for the both of us/pos" She had to pass a first aid course and he guided her arms and taught her you can keep the proper rhythm by singing Stayin Alive. He was just really persistent and really sweet and he grew on her okay 😭

Esther didn't really have a respect for philosophy because she didn't really grasp it's value or importance. As she grew to respect him more that sortaa changed.

They eventually got married and really kick-started both of their careers along the way.

(cw miscarriage implications for this next part) Neil's a rainbow baby that happened after several pregnancy losses. It may have been one of the things to strain their marriage but what really ended up doing it in was just the simple fact of life people change and grow apart and can fall out of love so now they can't really interact with each other for long. Their differences and flaws now clash and they butt heads instead of being complimentary.

I'm a firm believer the episode where each camper takes care of an egg they were reflecting their own parents. Carl is embarrassing but he's almost the exact opposite of a smotherer that Neil was showcased to be. His overall parenting style is like he's way more concerned about being Neil's friend than anything.

Esther is the one he's mirroring, here. She treats him like he's fragile almost. She gives him specific everything, down to his bedsheet thread count, knows how to cater to his living needs inside and out. Esther struggles to connect with anyone emotionally, though so her affection in the verbal department isn't as maintained. This never really bothers Neil, it doesn't register as "smothering" to him how much she shelters or caters to him. Because this isn't a kid interested in joining sports he could get hurt in and likes everything in a specific way anyways.

She's more aware socially than Carl is and knows how to not embarrass him in general.

Esther is Neil's biggest role model he wants to be just like her and is mad when he isn't, when he fails to be. He's upset even physically the only thing they share are the eyes. ((Regularly you can't even see Esther's I couldn't help myself in the art above from making them visible/forgot on the cc one but it's supposed to be a bit on "eyes are a window to the soul" thing and she's just that closed off and unreadable. Really only has a soft spot for Neil))

His mother is incredibly intelligent, and just seems so collected to him all the time.. and importantly not over emotional like he can be (his temper specifically.) and ESPECIALLY how emotional his dad can be.

I just love!! Character parallels!!!! How Carl is this emotional goofy person who joked around and danced and played music everywhere and Esther got regarded as "cold" and stiff and Neil is just both of them bc he's so smart but he's also silly. Like he plays video games and gets passionate over little things and allthat and it embarrasses him secretly sometimes, he wishes he could chill out and be like his mother. But the parts of him that reflect his father have always been the parts Esther always loved the most and found endearing. He doesn't know that though.

Neil to an extent even secretly believes if he didn't have his big brain and academic achievements him and his mother wouldn't have this close relationship because this is their shared quality. This is what makes her proud. He's so scared to lose that or disappoint her.

At the same time it doesn't stop him from pinning his parents against each other a bit from time to time. As he knows Esther's go-to move is to spoil him to win.

This ep was kinda filler-esque but I really enjoyed it anyway. Sad we didn't get Rex and Echo picking them up, but yanno, I'm not complaining. This was so sweet and fun and nice to watch :))

THANK YOU for being able 2 put it into words on that post..... despite s2 having so much of my favorite characters (terry jr and scary) i just... have struggled so hard with caring since the seasons been in full swing and it feels like the world in s2 isnt taken as like... genuinely enough i guess? and season two is very funny and entertaining but thats... all it is. any emotional arcs feel quickly forgotten & almost not at all drawn out and it feels like a mess with how often characters are just straight up forgotten,,, i love dndads and there was such a great setup for season two that i think just. fell flat in execution. even when nicky came back anthony admitted he called him nick Foster because he wasnt thinking at all about it and didnt care, and like. at a certain point even in a d&d setting you have to care about the characters youre making plot relevant at least a little bit, and suddenly the close family arc had nothing to do with season 1 and instead everything to do with stuff that happened completely offscreen (and again, once the dads were charting around with their kids they were often forgotten & added little to any scenes) just. it all got a little careless.

and im not caught up but ive heard about so much junk that happens in the... less than 10 episodes im behind on?? like i JUST got to the titanic part and it ends, what, 9 episodes later ??? i just wish it was more organized and theyd allowed themselves to like. take their time with things. i know the 20 or whatever episodes of glenns arc in s1 is known as 'too long' or super hard to get through but thats also how it made such an impact!! there was ALOT to get through and a lot happened to the close family. yet when alot happens in s2 its like, well that happened, and in an episode and a half it will never be mentioned again . even supporting npcs especially with a lot of potential dont stick around unlike characters like paeden or walter or even erin who got her own wrap up like. i dont remember the last time anyone even mentioned mae hails. yeah theres a degree that its messy and unorganized because thats how teenagers are but theres only so far that goes. and im pretty forgiving in d&d settings because 90% of what actually happens is up to random chance but theres a difference between 'this isnt good because im not actually writing it, and i dont have total control over this story' versus 'this isnt that good because we're not playing it that good'.

I THOUGHT YOU HAD TO BE JOKING ABOUT HOW RECENT THE TITANIC WAS UNTIL I WENT BACK TO CHECK THE EPISODE LIST AND. NO. NO, YOU WEREN'T JOKING. THERE'S ONLY 10 EPISODES AFTER THE TITANIC IN THE WHOLE SEASON. WHAT THE FUCK.

these kids really never had any time to rest, and it's actively hurting the narrative tension to the point that i just want them to be left alone </3

i can't fucking believe that they didn't care enough about nicky's whole deal to not even think about the implications of everything that happened to him. that felt like it should've been a core aspect of his character! and they just didn't care!! about that aspect of his family dynamic!!

i think that, at the end of season 1, the close family and the oak family had dynamics where it was understandable for issues to pop up offscreen. and i do think the underlying threads made sense to a degree! but it was so thoroughly unexplored in both families that it just made even more of a mess and all the characters involved suffered for it.

and i'm gonna be honest. i completely forgot about mae hails. man. man.

they all deserved so much better.

This is a meta/rant/ramble/whatever that I'm sure has been written a billion times over the years, hell I even wrote a (in retrospect, terrible) fic about it when I first joined the Torchwood fandom a billion years ago. But I'm gonna meta anyway because why not.

Last week I watched all the Owen-centric episodes of Torchwood, and recently I've just been watching the other ones at random. Tonight I rewatched Meat and I always forget how pissed off I get at Gwen's "You all think it's cold and lonely" monologue.

But! I think it's a fascinatingly consistent character flaw.

Gwen is portrayed as the "heart" of Torchwood. Not as in the centre, but as in the empathetic/sympathetic, emotional part of it. Now, I have multiple issues with this framing of her role and framing of the character. But for now I'll just talk about this specific character flaw.

For all Gwen's heart and sympathy and humanity and whatever, she has a really hard time picking up on her coworkers' misery, or being even remotely empathetic toward them at the level she is with civilian victims or whatever regular people she has to deal with.

It first arises in Countrycide with her "who did you last snog" game, but in that case everyone takes some of the blame because they all forgot about Ianto's recent loss of Lisa.

She's totally oblivious to Owen's love affair with Diane and then his all-consuming grief after she leaves and the "erratic behaviour" it causes, and when Tosh tells her that Owen and Diane had a "thing", she's totally surprised. And her reaction is to bring up her own affair with Owen and call him a wanker.

And then there's Tosh again with the loss of Tommy in To The Last Man. In both cases when Tosh lost lovers, Gwen was there for the event.

And then Gwen has this monologue, accusing the rest of her coworkers of thinking "it's cold and lonely out there" but insisting that it's different for her because she has Rhys. It feels so right, character-wise, but also so infuriating. Because the entire point of the rest of the Torchwood team is that they know it's not cold and lonely out there, because at one point in time for them it really, really wasn't. They desperately want to believe that it isn't cold and lonely. Only, every one of them except Gwen is saddled with multiple devastating losses. They're not just cynical lonely people for no reason. All of them have loved deeply and yet every time they do, they end up losing the person they love. And yet they somehow manage to piece themselves back together and carry on.

Gwen never has to do that. At least, not permanently (until the loss of Tosh and Owen).

And I'm always so fascinated by this bizarrely blinkered part of her character, because Jack spends so much time encouraging her humanity, and she is generally framed to be the empathetic/emotional one about the various victims or civilians they encounter (another framing I have thoughts on but not now). And yet she's totally blind and even callous when it comes to her coworkers, even when it's extremely obvious like Ianto's grief over Lisa or Owen's over Diane.

When I rewatch Torchwood I can never tell if this characterisation of emotional ignorance (wilful or not) is a trait that's established as an original part of Gwen's character or not. I can't tell if it's something that is actively acknowledged in the writers room as a part of her personality, or if it's just something the various writers have noticed.

But it is just so interesting to me because she was there for the deaths of multiple lovers of the Torchwood team, she witnessed their loss firsthand (Owen and Diane aside) so she's aware that they've felt this love, these deep emotional connections, these losses and griefs, and yet she still somehow believes that they just cynically think it's cold and lonely. She's a witness to their traumas but she can't empathise with it, she doesn't seem to recognise it or acknowledge it once the actual event has passed.

Doing this rewatch is really interesting and I have a lot of thoughts.

I have so many but here's the main ones:

Spideypool

Ellie obviously being a big fan of Spidey and its a lil awkward on Peter (before she finds out his identity)

Peter is the 'responsible' parent most times until he's not - Ellie will struggle with science homework and he'll be like "I have these chemicals in my lab that explode when making contact with oxygen- maybe that will help, wanna see?"

Wade is that proud father that will spoil his daughter (and partner)

Peter is the photographer and loves taking pictures of Wade and Ellie together, knowing Wade doesn't have many (and doesn't like his own image) - what he doesn't know is Wade also saves many pics of Ellie and Peter)

Wade will try not to use bad language near Ellie or talk about things that aren't PG

Peter has no concept of what's PG and will explain in full detail on what birthing a child is like and how painful it is because Ellie was unfortunate enough to ask him

Ellie starts to pick up Peter’s habits and Wade finds it adorable (until she uses Peter’s sass against him)

Ellie will sometimes jump from slightly high places (trees and benches) without warning and Peter is always there to catch her

Peter tutoring Ellie (Wade finding it incredibly hot)

Wade playing house with Ellie (sometimes Ellie decides Peter is her wife and Wade gets jealous "how come I'm not your wife?! </3" "you're the dog now dad")

Peter will sometimes come back from work to find Ellie and Wade having a tea party (will also join in and begin to complain and gossip with them)

Wade buys clothes for them a lot and often will be like "whaaat??? No way- can't believe I accidentally got 3 shirts that look exactly the same and are out perfect sizes! Isn't that crazy??!" Just so they can have couple outfits

Peter had gone to work with messy makeover (either he forgot about it or he didn't want to upset Ellie by taking it off)

Chapter 47 - Viva Las Vegas. Episode 3.

-------Andy's point of view--------

Andy: I could hardly believe this evening! It had been magical! We did it! We were married, Evan and I!! I could hardly believe it!!! Our mate bond was sealed, now unbreakable. Could I be any happier? No. This was pure bliss. Something fairy tales are made of. I looked around the room, seeing friends and family starting to grab dinner, some were having drinks in a corner, others were dancing. The room was truly spectacular! Looking like something from a Tim Burton movie, if you ask me. Less gloomy, but still. The perfect Halloween room for sure. It was spot on. No doubt this was our wedding, as the room and atmosphere screamed our names. I could not believe how wonderful he had made it all. After eating a bit, I started dancing, mainly with Congo, but also Evan and Daniel, everyone was having so much fun, it was so amazing they had all come together in such a short time. As I had understood, they had only had since Thursday, so only 2 days. 2 short days to put this magical fairy tale together. Once again it made me feel so lucky, to have such amazing friends and family.

Sparkle: Andy… wake up! You're daydreaming again she chuckled softly and poked my arm

Andy: I chuckled hoarse Yeah… so it seems…

Sparkle: She handed me a glass of champagne Cheers darling!

Andy: Cheers gorgeous! I tabbed my glass against hers and sipped the sweet champagne Nice costume btw! I like this darker look on you… very sexy…

Andy: I laughed loudly for a short while, then looked at his serious face Wait… you're not kidding?

Andy: I looked towards Robert on the dance floor Son of a bitch!

Evan: He chuckled softly According to my dad it was a one time opportunity. But let's face it, the more I try to prevent it from happening again, the more it will happen. And she made a fair point anyway. They're both adults, so they can do whatever they want. I just wish the divorce papers would have been finalized first, but at the same time, I can't really blame him either.

Andy: So… you're okay with it?

Congo: *The evening went by great, and every time I looked at Andy and Evan, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by their joy and get a little teary. I had some long nice talks with both Robert and Leonard about the boys and their whole life up until now. Concentrating only on the good stuff of course. It was safe to say this day was a success. From where we were sitting we could easily watch the evening move along. People dancing, drinking, eating, laughing and sometimes people were posing for pictures. Once in a while we joined in on the dancing as well, when someone bit us up for a dance that is. Sparkle even came by twice to ask me personal for a dance, as Daniel kept teasing her, so I guess she needed someone to hide behind for a while, I gladly accepted each time. I had just had a glass of Whiskey with Evan as Clover tabbed her glass, and stood up.

Clover: Could I have everyone's attention? She smiled warmly as the music lowered and everybody turned their attention towards her This is not per say a toast, it's just a small note I would like to read. I found it today, by random, in an old recipe book of mine. And I thought it was very fitting for this day. Not only for what the day itself means, but also for your wedding. She cleared her throat, and unfolded a little old note of paper, reading loud and clear with a warm voice Samhain Magic: We count the days till Samhain comes. It is the witches New Year, All Hallows Eve and the spirit world takes flight. We gather in sacred ritual with candles, a flame under harvest moon light. We call to the ancestors who have been here before, as we seek wisdom and insight. It is the Sabbath of Samhain, a most enchanted magical night. She folded the paper and slit it back into her suit, smiling warmly at Andy and Evan with tears in her eyes and raised her glass To the groom and groom! Everyone lifted their glasses as well and cheered to the couple

Congo: It did really suit the evening, she was right. Sacred ritual it sure had been, the ceremony, so perfect and very much in line with their souls. And an enchanted magical night it for sure also was. I looked around at everybody as they started dancing and doing whatever they were doing before. There were just as much happiness around, as there had been on Andy and my wedding. You could feel the love all around. It was truly heartwarming and soothing. I noticed Evan's cigs on the table, and quickly dragged one out of the package, including his lighter and snuck outside to enjoy the view and some chilled evening air on my face. I leaned my back against the wall, and lit the cig, only few seconds later noticing I wasn't alone, as I saw something move out of the corner or my eye

Katherine: Sorry, did I startle you?

Congo: I smiled warmly No… I just didn't expect someone else to have had the same idea as me I chuckled softly and took a drag of the cig

Katherine: She chuckled softly Yeah… I needed a bit of fresh air after dancing with Daniel she chuckled softly He sure knows how to take up some space on the dance floor while dancing, eh?

Congo: I chuckled warmly He sure does.

Katherine: She took a deep relaxed breath and sighed happily towards the sky What a beautiful night!

Congo: I looked at the stars, it sure was

Kat: So how are you feeling my darling?

Kat: I'm a proud mama, that's what I am she chuckled softly and sipped a beer she apparently had been hiding on the other side of her that I couldn't see.

Congo: I like your outfit, Sheriff I smiled warmly at her, and nodded at her Sheriff dress great choice!

Kat: She chuckled warmly Yeah… I wanted to make sure that both Andy and Daniel would behave nice today, I am after all still a mom… I have to remind the youngsters that even if they are all grown up, I still have some authority she chuckled softly and shook her head No, I'm afraid this is all Lenny's doing she pointed towards her breasts, that today looked particularly large It's the frills… they seem to enhance what was already there, and he is a boob man after all, so, can we really blame him?

Congo: I laughed warmly No, I guess we really cant! I like his outfit too though… it was quite unexpected… did you pick his then?

Congo: So which costume do you like the best?

Kat: Tough choice… I think I would have to go with either Sparkle or Clover… I really like the sexiness of Clovers, although I personally would never have the guts to wear something like that. And she even dressed it down a bit by wearing tights under, as there were peek holes at both crotch and buttocks according to her. She thought it was a tad inappropriate for a wedding, even if it was Andy's wedding she chuckled softly But I also really love Sparkles, and the amount of effort she put into putting it all together, and sewing the dress. And for once I actually know the character she's trying to portrait… well, technically I also know Clovers character. It was easy with that fiery red hair and the green suit.

Congo: I nodded and blew some smoke out Yes… both ladies really did a great job. So… who is the most surprising outfit? We were both quiet few seconds, then spoke out the name at the same time GEORGE!!

Kat: She laughed loudly I guess he also had an urge to feel 'hip with the kids'?!

Congo: I nodded and laughed warmly I guess so! And he seems very much into the roll as well… every other sentence he tries to squeeze in words like YOLO, LMAO and OMG I chuckled warmly I mostly try to avoid him as I feel my brain can't take it much more.

Kat: She laughed warmly Yes… I try my best to steer around him as well.

George: YOLO SWAGSTERS!! suddenly the teen found us with a big happy smile on his face Evan says he needs us all to gather, so… He pointed towards the party

Kat: We both looked at each other and then burst out laughing

George: He chuckled softly and we quickly followed him inside, Kathrine linking her arm with mine leaning against me, as she was still laughing too much to walk straight.

I completely forgot to post this last night - the brain fog this week has been something else!

Aradale looked like an interesting place. Lots of activity there as well, which is awesome for them (although, judging by the way Colby's soul flew out of his body when the Estes Method said the words "leather" and "in the corner," I'm assuming not everyone enjoyed how active that place was 🤣). But you know what made me definitively cross that off my visit list if I ever come to Australia?

She-Ra Season 2 Reaction

BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUH This show is SO GOOOOD!!! I honestly just. I don't know what to say. I love love LOVE the Super Pal Trio. Entrapta is best girl, super genius and adorable super ominous villain extraordinaire, Catra is such a bad sad girl, the mommy issues with ShadowWeaver were something I never expected, and then there's Scorpia holding them all together! I sincerely hope that Scorpia gets her wish and we can one day see the Super Pal Trio play board games or just have some fun out of work hours. ShadowWeavers backstory as LightSpinner was interesting, too. I wonder if we'll ever see what happened to her apprentice whose name I forgot. I also wonder what if her apprentice turned out to be Glimmer's Dad and that could lead to more evidence for my theory about Glimmer becoming an Epic Princess of Light and Darkness, which is sorely needing more evidence but is not yet outright disproved. Bow's parents are nice, too! I loved that finale episode. Best friend squad is pretty okay, I guess. I'm not as invested in them as I am in the Super Pal Trio, but I think it's growing on me. I honestly think my favoritestest part of Season 2 was the episode in the snow with the big bugs. I saw them and was immediately chanting WORMS WORMS WORMS because I knew it was gonna be a fantastic episode. And it was! I think Drunk Adora is one of the funniest things in the show, and I'm glad she had a heart to heart with Scorpia and Seahawk. And I'm calling it right now, Mermista isn't actually hanging out with other friends, she's just trying to avoid Seahawk. At least he's starting to believe in himself and not depend on her opinion of him as much. He may eventually start to get a clue. And the episode where the princesses all played D&D was fantastic. Bow, at this point, you just gotta make minis for everyone. It's come up more than once. Anyway, I love this show! I'm gonna try to watch Season 3 this week, but if I can't, I'm probably not going to be able to continue for a long time. I'm gonna be going on a mission for the next two years, but once I get back I think I'm gonna rewatch everything from season 1 to catch myself back up.

My tiny problem with the beautiful piece of cake that is Livius: his friendship path is suspiciously... Too romantic. When he gave her the necklace I was crying confused because I honestly thought I chose some romantic option. And then I read the scene is the same for those romancing him, except maybe a few lines. I loved the scene, but it does read very romantic, at least to me. But that is a me problem. Or maybe I'm just mad that I don't have a Livius in my life who will give me cute necklaces and comfort me when my friends are murdered.

The points you brought up in regards to Amen and his romance path are completely understandable and I can see it can get very annoying, very fast. I personally love it because he sounds incredibly pathetic when he goes full horny mode; I know it is not author's intent, but that's how I read it. He does need to chill, though. I honestly don't know if she writes her eViL LIs like that or he's just a unique case. That being said, the moments when he shows affection and acts gentle with Evthys are Poetic Cinema™.

Anyway. I said his smile, you say sad frown + doubtful expression, allow me to introduce you to ✨his blushing face✨. It's super subtle, but the moment I noticed I was like sir you are supposed to be scary, stop being adorable. And the only downside of the supreme epistetes outfit is that it covers his boobs; the other diamond outfit has that sick neck piece and the incredibly gorgeous purple cape. Ugh. Big boy really said you can't torture and kill people if you don't look pretty. This is Fashion, Horus, ✨FASHION✨. Gorgeous outfits though, I love them so much, I was so mad when he went back to his original outfit in the most recent episode. I despise that thing, that's not Fashion, those are some shower curtains he found around the house and another war crime added to his long list.

Heya! I'm curious to hear your opinion on the last episode in general, I don't think you've said much from what I've seen. Mainly on Collie and stuff, and especially what you think about them going away in the end there. Are you perhaps planning to write a post on that or anything? I just like your takes on things so I'm curious

... can I say something? It makes me stupidly emotional in a positive way that so many people have been showing interest in my opinions and thoughts about toh and collector. I knew my posts on them had gotten somewhat popular, but it genuinely surprises seeing how many people seem to think of me and want to hear what I have to say! You guys are too incredibly sweet and I just want to thank you!

This got... pretty long since I assumed you wanted an overall rundown of my thoughts on the episode not just focused on colly so uhhh... tagging it as long post.

As for my general thoughts on the episode... they are... uhhh A LOT of ohhhhh that's so cool ohhh that's so awesome... it was genuinely just a very fun high spirits episode for me, I was surprised seeing how easily colly was swayed and how willing he was to try and be friends... he is truly a very kind being! How strong raine was to push belos out and keep going, their ingenuity as well with all their movements!! They're so cool... the way they confirmed my suspicion that Collector really loves titans and knows a lot about their anatomy and culture!

I REALLY didn't think they were gonna do the Luz death fake out, that shocked me a lot since we already had a fake out with hunter, but now I'm starting to think they maybe did that to be a direct parallel to flapjack, as that one also featured the glowing lights rising. But then we met King's mom who is a total furbait for me so like!!! It's fine!!! Helloooo sexyyyyy!!!!!!! I love that they're genderfluid that got me so happy I love that he explains it by calling back to King's line about being queen and king that was already so damn transgender!!! I can't believe King is bigender just like her dad!!!

They have such good vibes anyway so it was really nice seeing them. Ngl I was kind of against seeing the titan again bc it was made such a point he was gone and we should mourn them, but she did kinda... die right after anyway so it's fine, and also again she is so cool it's kind of hard to not want him to have shown up. I love hiiiim. And then for that matter. Their conversation was so sweet and I love how it puts emphasis on two core themes of the series: the leftist sentiment of it being severely more important to fight to protect others genuinely from oppression and violence than to be respectable at those in power, and that Luz was never meant to be a chosen one, but she was a good kind person who deserved through her being there to be trusted. And is it not often just a matter of someone who is good choosing to do good when it counts?

I was a little sad that colly didn't get to do much fighting alongside the cast, but then again so didn't... most of the hexsquad! And his role was so important too, protecting everyone inside the Archives!! He is so very strong and i am so proud of him. Luzs titan form was so epic and her fight scene along with eda and King and eventually also raine was so cool!!!! And so was the scene with her just standing over belos... fuck yeah

I do not know if many more people noticed!! But the symbols around the titan as his spirit left luzs body were alchemical sun/gold symbols!! See!!! It's a titan symbol!! Also for that matter, the symbol on luzs chest on her titan design is the sun connected to the earth im pretty sure!! And i do love that King's dad said i love you with a bread pun but it is funny he almost... forgot to send any message lmao. It's okay though I'm sure she just wasn't prepared ♡

Ah and then the ending!! Was cute!! Personally I find the ending and epilogue pretty okay, I don't think it'll satisfy everyone of course, but I liked it well enough, everyone's endings felt nice. I HAVE actually spoken extensively (although more casually) about how I feel on Colly's fate, you can find that on my commander's answers tag as I responded to an anon on it, and I DO have a post about it planned but it will take... quite a long while to make, currently I am still laying down bullet points and I'm only to the second part of it and there are already four pages... uhm. Yeah. That and I'm starting to realize that it might make half the fandom want to crush me in a metal compactor. So thats fun. But well! I am committed to information above all!

This episode had everything I wanted to see if Moon would find out about hallucinations!

Seriously. I'm not kidding. I wanted for Moon to act the way he did in today's episode. But at the time I was thinking about this type of scenario Moon still had his memories. So I couldn't imagine how it would be or if it worked with how Old Moon used to be. So I was scared of this.

But New Moon is 100x times better than Old Moon! @garbagechocolate you were right by believing in him.

I'm so glad! It makes me feel less anxious about Sun's future. Sure, he still will have hallucinations and it'll take a lot of time for him to heal.. but for the first time.. I'm not scared for how Sun's story will end.

Before I'll say more about this episode, I want to thank Davis and Reed for amazing work they're putting into this show. And I need to thank them for today's episode. Whenever I watch an episode of this show, I feel like they know how I feel or as if they knew me. This show is amazing! I can't express properly how much this show means to me.

Now, let's talk about what happened in today's episode. Sun has zero self preservation... which isn't surprising considering that he's suicidal.

Sun didn't want to talk about his issues even if Moon heard him talking to the air. Who could've thought? /s

Moon saying "of course it would affect me cause you're my brother" and trying to hug him was something I wanted to see for so long.

Sun was scared of Moon's reaction! My meme became reality (I'm impressed how quickly it was proved in the show though) 👀

Moon said that he'll help Sun rest and be with him in the worst 🥹 I love New Moon! Old Moon would probably act like a jerk "because he had it worse". 🙄

I'm curious if Sun will tell Moon about "the catalyst" thing 👀⁉️

And I would love for Sun to have hallucination of Lunar when Moon is with him! I think that would be epic!

I can't wait for what will happen next! Will tomorrow be a gaming video or maybe another lore episode? And then next will be July 16th!

But I'm curious what is Eclipse up to? Because I have a feeling that he might try to do something 🤔

I finished Rise! (And the movie)

Holy heavens what a show omg I can't believe I didn't find it sooner, I feel bad for past me who doesn't have it yet because WOW

I have never gotten attached to a character as fast as I have with Donnie; by the end of the first episode I had decided that if anything happened to him, I'd throw hands. 

All four of them (and April) are so fantastically written it's amazing I can't even muster the words to explain it.

Coming away from it, I have but One Question:

ARE RAPH AND DONNIE OKAY?!?"!?! Seriously, like????? We see both of them, at two seperate points in the show EACH (with some more Raph in the Movie) struggle with self worth. 

In Raph, his worth and doubts are because he feels he can't protect his family well enough, and it's crushing him, to the point where it manifests as Panic and Anger (which as someone who stuggles with keeping cool when angry, it's scary, how easily it could be to snap and hurt someone). I think that Raph's issues with worth are part of the reason Leo is now the leader; to try take some of the weight off Raph's shoulders (TOO BAD IT DIDN'T FUCKING WORK - que the entire movie)

In Donnie, his worth and doubt boil down to thinking he's replaceable. Personally, I think this comes mostly down to his Autism, and more so his brother's (and Dad) not entirely getting it. Sure we see that they understand to a point; they know he's weird with touch, and they never seem annoyed at his stimming, and it's only really Leo who get's annoyed at his Info-Dumping (aside from that one really funny clip from the fish episode - you know the one). Other than that though, I don't think they quiet get it, which is fair enough (I might make another post going more into this because it means a lot to me). ANYWAYS they're constantly joking in ways that always leans on Donnie being the odd one out, and whether they know it or not, it's hurting him. And it's built to worrying about whether he's useful or not. And yes, we get that fantastic April scene in 'Donnie V.s Witch Town' but one pep talk isn't gonna fix everything ( as someone who also struggles with worrying if I'm worth it, same. I'm constantly doubting myself, even despite the self-confidence I've built up recently)

This is long and I've semi forgot where I was going with it

BUT if we get a season 3 (praying, dear god, that we do) I want a Raph and Donnie episode. I don't think we got one that was just the two of them, we saw a lot more Donnie and Mikey adventures than the others (love their duo, so I'm not complaining). I want an episode, after the fact of everything that's happened, Movie and all, where we see Raph struggling more than ever to let go a bit more, especially after being used like that in the Movie - man's is probably terrified of himself. And I want to see Donnie struggling with grasping everything that happened (coming back to me here, woo, when big thing's happen, it's usually in the moment, or not til a long time later that they kinda settle into place; when my grandad died, I wasn't upset at the time, even though I understood why everyone else was. It wasn't until a year or so later that I sort of grieved). I sort of want to see Donnie do the same. It's sorta reenforced time and time again that Donnie is writen as low empathy, so let's see it. Let's see him unsure what to do when everything clicks into place and he doesn't know what to do, because 'Donnie doesn't feel things, why is he feeling things?!' 

I want to see the two oldest lean on each other as Leo and Mikey become more and more themselves, Leo with growing leadership skills, Mikey with his magic, and Donnie and Raph are able to sit back for a minute (but to them it feels like they're being put aside) and they learn to deal with it together. It wouldn't have to be a long episode, but I think it would be nice none the less.
