(Diluc ships) Reaction to Diluc's message that he left on the Cat Tails Bulletin board, where he reminisce about his past with the knights and his father. (Also, sorry for making you do a lot of these reactions. They're just so entertaining.😅😅)

Lmaoooo no worries. I'm glad you are enjoying them! Anyway here is a reminder of Diluc's message

Albedo

Albedo is one of the few in the knights who didn't know Diluc as a Captain. He was vaguely aware of there being an incident where the a Captain resigned and Kaeya took his place but I don't think he every really thought about it too much.

At least not until he reads this. I feels Albedo does have a people watching hobby and he does like reading the Cat's tail board. So he sees this one pretty quickly. And after a few moments puts it together. That's Diluc. And Albedo instantly become uncomfortable. Because this is a letter filled with emotion. Diluc's emotions, emotions where he had no other place to express. He contemplates taking it down but ends up leaving it but going right to Diluc.

"Oh, Albedo. This is a surprise. What can I do for you."

"Nothing. I just thought it would be a nice day to spend some time together."

Al Haitham

So I've mentioned before Al Haitham is a puzzle sort of guy so he when in Mondstadt probably is very intrigued by the message board and likes connecting the dots.

This one though would actually take him a moment. Because few people like talking about Diluc time in the Knights. And the Letter is quite emotional and when Al Haitham thinks of Diluc he doesn't really associate Diluc with these feelings. Yes Diluc is a guardian. But He's warm and gentle. And the letter has so much longing and sorrow and is clearly someone struggling with their emotions and the logic.

Finding out it's Diluc is not pleasant for either party. Diluc is a little peeve Al Haitham confront him with it. But Al Haitham he thinks relationships should be about supporting each other. And he wants to support Diluc.

"You know. As a Scribe it's my duty to record."

"So. That has a little do with me."

"No it has a great amount. I record and translate for future generation. What I do is a silent but necessary job to pass wisdom down to other generation."

"You normally don't take so long to get to your point."

"My point. Is the past is not something you need to let go. It will always be with you. And you need not work alone. I will be at your side, recording your heroism and wisdom for others."

Ayato

So Ayato probably saw this a while ago. But didn't think much of it. And maybe even thought the author was little melodramatic. Honestly he doesn't really think much or put it together until he probably hears Kaeya make and off handed comment about Diluc's former knighthood or something about their past. And it just leaves a bad taste in his mouth. And eventually puts it together that's Diluc.

And he's always know he and Diluc are kinder spirits. People who can understand each other better then anyone else. So He suddenly understand the the letter. And he understand it was Diluc venting on a particularly lonely night. He doesn't bring the letter up to Diluc just feels the need to spend a little more time Diluc.

They are both people who need to wake up to let other peacefully and happily dream. But that doesn't mean they need to do it alone. They have each other and together they can leave their pasts behind.

Childe

Childe is probably one of the ones who knows the most about Diluc's past. Partly because I think he was involved in Diluc's time away. I also think Diluc is more open with him because he's very jealous of Childe's family life.

So Childe would know right away that letter is Diluc. And the letter makes sure that isn't up any more, because well he feels guilty. It is partly because he is fatui and the fatui is Diluc's enemy and partly because he himself let Diluc continue to feel alone and struggling with his past. He throws the letter away. And instantly goes to Diluc and SMOOTHERS him for a bit.

Eula

Eula doesn't recognize at first that the letter is Diluc. But it stick with her. And when she sees Diluc it finally clicks for her. And honestly it really hits her that Diluc, the beloved Ragnvindr of Mondstadt, has his own struggles. And yet he keeps his look of his perfect gentleman. She doesn't know the finer details of his struggle and honestly she kind of rather not know.

So she just finishes her duties and decides to Go to Diluc and just holds his hand.

"What have I done this time? Your not normally one to hold hands."

"You simply seem to have forgotten. You are not the only one who wakes up early. So as punishment you can not let go."

Itto

So Itto probably never realizes that the note is Diluc's. But I think he ends put being very sympathetic towards the person Maybe even ends up putting. His own little response to the note.

"Cat lady is right! The past is called the past because it's pasted! But you don't need to let it go. Those warm feeling are always gonna be with ya! And can help you create new better memories! So looking back is nice! But always go forward with full force! - Arataki "#1" Itto"

Then there is probably a flyer to join the gang posted right under that.

Again this is probably another who doesn't realize that's Diluc. But he does like how thoughtful the letter is and he likes musing on it. Maybe ends up talking to it with Diluc.

"For the sake of the future. I cannot keep on dreaming in memories. What a nice way of putting that"

"Putting what?"

"Well a building can't stay a foundation forever. You still need to build up. Even if there are little errors and crack. You have to keep building."

"I suppose."

"But it doesn't make the past any less important. It is the foundation which everything is build on. It's important. And it sounds like that person has had a good foundation. I'm sure they are building a beautiful future for themselves."

Diluc just very embarrassed gives Kaveh a little glance "Yeah... I think I agree."

Thoma

With Thoma I'm very much on the childhood friends train. So reading this I think Thoma would instantly going into planning a specially little date. A date where he wants Diluc to embarrass his inner child again.

So a few days later Thoma drags Diluc one this little date where they do things they used to do as kinds. Like building pillow forts and exploring the woods and picking eating and picking grapes. Just really enjoying themselves. And at the ends Thoma says.

"There be a lot more warms days. Not just like to day. Warm days with their own meaning Just for us. I promise."

Xiao

Now. Xiao he knows of Diluc's nightly actives and hardly goes into Diluc's hometown. And one of the few times. He goes into town he sees this. He honestly wouldn't pay much mind to it even if he put it together that it was Diluc. Because his mind was made up.

He's going to protect Diluc. Diluc is not of a nature who should be protecting others. His nature is to kind and gentle. And Xiao will protect that good natured sweet human.

Zhongli

Well well the king of reminiscing. He wouldn't know too much of Diluc's past and might not recognize the letter as Diluc's but it would get him thinking about Diluc. And it would be a point where Zhongli feels he need to take a moment stop talking and listen.

And that night he'd visit Diluc and just ask about him. Explain he wants to to know Diluc's history. And he just knows Diluc has listens to his own past with a great about of patience so It's Zhongli's turn to listen.

hey i’m just venting bc I have no real friend lmaoooo but today at work, (i work at an assisted living place), my mangers and head people had an meeting with our residents and my manager told me that they said the residents love me and they are going to miss me when I go back to college and just positive things stuff like that.

I was in shock tbh and felt so idk happy, proud idk bc i’ve only been working there since like june 10th so i’m just happy, i’m making them happy ig.

then we have an head manager guy (idk his actual title) but he’s always given me compliments on my work ethic and stuff. he’s super nice and kind as well.

but anyways I just wanted to get that out bc this is like the first time I feel like i’ve done something good in my life. I started tearing up actually bc the residents were genuinely meaning they appreciate me, love me, and love seeing me come in.

like some residents will say “theirs our favorite girl”, “pretty girl”, “we missed you yesterday”, “I appreciate your service”, “thank you for all that you do” and idk if i’ll keep this job forever, I mean I know I won’t bc I need to move on to bigger and better things but stuff like this makes me so idk guilty that i’ll have to leave them soon even tho half won’t even remember me

the whole building is just super nice and I can’t handle all the compliments, I feel almost bad for receiving them especially since i’m pretty new.

like the amount of praise I got today was just so overwhelming and basically it made me feel proud myself but also guilty for some reason

First off that’s great that in such a short time they already like you that much, that’s huge! It sounds like you do a great job and they really appreciate you for everything you do.

Secondly, I wouldn’t feel guilty about eventually leaving. They would want you to move on to bigger things and do good for yourself! Everyone leaves a job eventually, that’s just a part of life. Think about the positive impact you’d be leaving instead of the guilt of leaving, think about all the good you did and all the smiles you caused. Sometimes that’s enough for a person to get through a rough day, they’ll remember you and your bright personality and even for just a split second it’ll make them feel better.

Sometimes they need a new person to come in and give them a new perspective. I think someone who is obviously so kind and good at their job can make any job easier to get through and you’re that person despite how long you’ve been there. I don’t think half of them will just forget despite how hard that is to believe. I think with how much they like you already, you’ll forever leave them with a profound effect.

Thirdly, I totally get the guilt. It’s hard to think that someone who’s only been there for a short period of time deserves those kinds of compliments compared to someone that’s been working there for years. But it’s also okay to be like “you know what, I work hard and do a damn good job. I deserve to be told that and appreciated from my co workers” because you do! You deserve to have people tell you they’re proud of you, you deserve to be praised for working hard, you deserve to have those sweet words said to you when you walk in for work. Obviously I can’t stop you from feeling guilty because you know…thoughts….but I can say that they wouldn’t praise you that way and talk to other people about you in such a positive light if you didn’t deserve it babe! You’re going to do such good things in life and i’m proud of you for everything you’ve done to get to where you are🫶🏻🫶🏻
