we have hard cider, which is what the world at large calls “cider” - alcoholic, a variety of flavor elements, etc etc
we have soft cider, apparently called “unfiltered apple juice”, which is shades of darker brown and tastes like heaven, nonalcoholic
we have apple juice, everyone knows apple juice, you juice the apple
and we also have sparkling cider, which is another thing again: it’s nonalcoholic but carbonated, a lovely pale gold, and an excellent choice if everyone around you has wine but you, like me, want something that tastes good
