11 for trinity... plus virus 👁️👁️ -🦕
👁️👁️
Wow that looks terrifying on Tumblr desktop. Anyway!
11. What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to your oc? Do they still feel ashamed for it? Were there any witnesses?
Muse The Cat Boy debacle. Hands down. The Cat Boy debacle which was witnessed by basically all of his friends. For those of you not in the know, the Cat Boy debacle was a magic anon event that gave Muse cat ears... and then everyone clowned on him for it, it was really funny.
Script One time when he was at a coffee shop and he decided to shoot his shot with this cute man who was also idling in the shop. They spoke for a little bit and everything seemed like it was going well but when Script asked for his number, the man shot him down. Turns out he was already dating someone and had been unknowingly flirting with this guy right in front of his partner, who was a barista at the store. Script has never returned to that coffee shop since.
Page Page is the type of person who is easily embarrassed by many things but I think what takes the cake for him was that one time he confiscated a rather raunchy magazine from a student and had set it aside to turn into the principal's office when he was next free. Except, well, Muse and Script came to visit him and they spotted the magazine sitting on his desk and well, let's just say some assumptions were made. They were cleared up rather quickly but Muse has never quite let Page live that one down.
Virus Although Virus is the King of Shameless now, he wasn't always that way! He, too, was an innocent (or as innocent as he can get) youth just stumbling his way through the world. The most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to him was probably back when he still entertained fleeting relationships and flings. He was keeping in contact with a particularly attractive paramour and sent some photos and messages typical those sent between lovers. Except, well. He accidentally sent them to The Hierophant instead. The Hierophant found it all rather amusing but Virus was mortified. He tries not to think about it too hard but he does double check his texts now.

Hi hello hi I come from far away lands after hearing of the one with the paleo tattoo (I saw your post reblogged by someone else and it's my first time visiting your blog) so I don't know if this is common knowledge around these parts, and excuse me repeating the question if it is, but what is the name of the cave from where you found your inspiration? Would you mind telling me more about it? I just loved it and want to learn more
Hello! Sorry for the late response! I don't think it's common knowledge at all so don't worry! The paintings are from the famous Lascaux cave in France, many cave paintings we see of paleolithic art kinda vaguely circulating around online tend to be from that cave. It has SO MANY PAINTINGS IN THOUGH!!! Which is wild not only in the variety they show of animals but style of paintings. So many theories and ideas came from this cave in regard to ancient humans and story telling and documentation and even language it's so wonderful. The cave's artwork is estimated to be around 12-16,000 thousand years old however some estimates I've seen floating around pull it at 23,000 years old at the oldest.
Tumblr media
It helped to identify a lot of coloration/patterns of now long extinct animals. Some theories around certain paintings are that torch light is used to animate the figures in a way by moving it back and forth. Also how the nature features of the rock surface and curvature of the cave helped to give some paintings a more three dimensional feel. My personal favorite thing about this cave in particular is that in many, so many ancient pieces of art from carving to paintings is that there are lines and dots commonly seen among them. The current leading theory is that it's more or less a proto language of sorts. I've seen it both discussed as a way to track the animal itself when it can be harvested/hunted in the year or simply a way to count in a visual way. It's so beautiful!
Here's an interview with one of the archeologist who brought forth this idea too. I haven't kept up to date with it so I'm honestly not sure it there are new updates with it.

┬┴┬┴┤ω・)💦 {hello.)
I feel bad talking about my ocs too much on here, and other interests like fandoms Im in. Because sometimes I get anons being weird about it. I always just delete them but it still puts a damper on things. :(
So this post is to inform my followers that this blog is for all my interests. And it's okay to talk to me about ibwr or fandoms I'm in. I think it's fun. Send an ask on Anon if you're shy! I want to keep Anon on for that sake.
And if you don't like it-- idk unfollow me or something? Or just ignore what's not relative to your interests. I always tag my posts so feel free to blacklist the tags. You're in charge of curating your own online experience. It's not my job to.
Aaaaaaaaaa...!! Okay there I said my piece.
┬┴┬┴┤╥ω╥ )💦 {Thank you.)

A continuation of my Archeologist AU (6)!
Screw this. No, screw this.
“Where are you going?” Scar asks as Grian swings his bag over his shoulder (watch for the feathers).
“Out.”
He feels a little bad for the baffled look Scar gives him. They were just discussing plans, but Grian couldn’t stop seeing spirals dancing across his partner’s skin, twisting in the same way smoke does in the aftermath of an explosion.
“I’m just getting some air,” he tacks on to smooth that crease between Scar’s brows.
“Alright. I’ll keep working.”
The weight lifts off his shoulders, the shackle off his neck, and he ducks out of the tent into the hot summer sun.
The sand glints in red and good. He knows there’s no blood, but it peppers the terrain beneath his boots as he walks and walks. The jeeps waver with the heat, the neat line they’re in appearing to oscillate with how the sand seems set on breathing the exhaust of hell into the air.
Maybe he should take off his jumper.
“Where are you going?” Asks Martyn.
“None of your business,” he snaps back, fumbling with the car door handle. The hot metal finally relents, letting him clamber in and get the key into the slot.
“You killed them, they won’t welcome you without suspicion.”
The jeep roars to life and starts blowing hot air into his face.
“Come on dude, are you sure this is a good idea?”
He sits back to relish in the movement of air, only to get a searing pain in his arm that has him jolting forward again. Darned seatbelt. Metal’s been superheated.
“Grian, please, they won’t let you go.”
Click. Seatbelt’s in. The air finally begins to cool. He throws off his jumper, letting it fall in the passenger seat.
“You’re leaving him alone!” shouts the ghost as Grian pulls away from the parking space. He floors it, driving until he stops seeing red, yellow, green.
The sun beats down on him and feathers brush his neck, but he’d left Martyn in the dust and he’s finally free, even if it’s just this moment.
If worst comes to worse in this dig, he can leave.
That’s enough for him.
He wakes up, and the first thing he notes is that his jumper’s on again. The next is that bed he’s on is horribly cushy, nothing like the cots they have.
There’s humming coming from the other room, and the sandstone building he’s in looks terrifyingly familiar.
It’s dark out, and the chill the lack of sun brings bites his heated skin. He brings the blanket—is this legitament wool? It’s going to get all sandy—as he walks. His boots fall silent on the floor.
His boots. Who let him wear boots to bed? What sort of heathen…?
Gray. A large, gray back with scars splattered across their skin like paint.
Jellie lounges on the counter nearby, in the warmth left behind by an old lantern. And he turns, and Grian already knows who he is.
“Scar.”
“Grian, you’re awake! Had me worried about your first life, there.” His eyes are red and glinting in a way that has his mind begging him to run. It’s amusement, the same kind that surfaces when a predator toys with their food.
But… it’s Scar. The notion of him being any sort of predator is—it’s ridiculous. And, look, he’s cooking them potatoes.
The candles play off the iron blade of the knife, and of the swords tucked away in the corner. Easy access. They’ve seen a lot of fights.
“Sit. Heatstroke’s never good for anyone. I’m almost done with your midnight snack.”
Heatstroke…?
Grian complies, pressing his forehead to the table and trying not to feel nauseous.
Just another dream. At least there’s no blood, this time around.

MY ARCHEOLOGY AUUUU
i really want to start writing that too!! i've mentioned it a few times but basically it's where tommy's uncle, techno, is an archeologist and tommy has been wanting to go to a site for years, ever since he'd moved in with techno. but techno always declines. but, finally, tommy pushes him over the edge and he's finally getting to go! techno tries to explain the rules very carefully to him and make sure he doesn't disturb anything historic, meanwhile tommy kiiiind of bends those rules. just a little bit. but, hey, it led to the discovery of an old, underground, huge, tiny civilization. and even a living tiny!
send me a 📓 and i'll give you an au that i haven't written anything for but i daydream about!

niceys positive anon!! i don't agree with you on everything but you are so clearly like well read and well rounded that you've helped me think through a lot of my own inconsistencies and hypocrises in my own political and social thought, even if i do have slightly different conclusions at times then u (mainly because i believe there's more of a place for idealism and 'mind politics' than u do). anyway this is a preamble to ask if you have recommended reading in the past and if not if you had any recommended reading? there's some obvious like Read Marx but beyond that im always a little lost wading through theory and given you seem well read and i always admire your takes, i wondered about your recs

thoughts on whether venture is a dom or a sub >:] and what you said about them wanting to please their partner more and sometimes wanting it back i so agree with, i'd love to hear your thoughts about them being on the recieving end
Anon who agrees on my opinions >:] In my honest venture lover opinion I see them as a switch but leaning to dom, just slightly tho.
18+ after this!! Ok warnings over
Like something about their whole personality makes me feel like they would be a teasing dom, would LOVE to eat you out and laugh at how cute you look, probably tease you by saying they won’t let you come until you hear this awesome fact about archeology, only for your whine to be cut off by them going back to eating you out and making you see stars.
But now hear me out, YOU being on the giving side while Sloane is on the receiving side, you’re so gentle and kind to them, like you start, Ima say it again, START like a true lover and gave them everything, Sloane is giving you pats on the head, their fingers gently pulling your hair while they give you sweet compliments. Like the typical dominant who is praising their cute little partner
Until you go all in, eating them out like it’s your last meal, biting their thighs and making them look at you, your arms wrapped around their waist trying to hold them down. Venture can’t even say anything anymore, the room full of grunts, whimpers and the few moans, now it’s going to be full of moans when you don’t give them a break, they’re over stimulated and they feel like their body is about to explode, now THATS when it’s going to full of loud dramatic moans.
Anywho I feel like sloane wouldn’t mind being the bottom it the top, as long as you’re happy and they get some here and there, they’re happy ^^

idk if you would be into this BUT! i read your ask about tumblr archeology and i simply have to contribute this fic.
called observations, accessible here https://anon-j-anon.livejournal.com/30674.html, it’s essentially a book (i think like 200k words lol) written in 2009 that puts the AOS characters in the TOS deep space mission. a lot of the episodes are rewritten with their new counterparts— city on the edge of forever, arena, operation: annihilate!, what are little girls made of, so many more. it’s narrated by spock (his “observations” serving under jim) and definitely is a spirk fic, but i cannot emphasize enough how well it is written. contains math, philosophy, art discussions, and just has AMAZING characterizations into all of the cast (not just jim and spock but added depth into characters like chekov and chapel).
in my book it’s one of those “fandom foundational texts” but since it’s posted to livejournal, not ao3, i fear it’s kinda died off! but it is SUCH a good work i’m considering my duty as a star trek fan to spread it around. figured i would share it with you since you seemed interested in fandom revival!
hello friend! i've been working through this since you sent it and WOW. i can't believe the author saw star trek '09, went home, cracked their knuckles, and chose to write an ENTIRE K/S NOVEL. every day i'm blessed to have chosen star trek as my lifelong hyperfixation because i am treated SO WELL by other creators. thanks to them and thanks to you for sharing ♥
anyway. thoughts!
this fic is in such a unique format (first officer logs, spock's first person POV). i'll be honest that it takes some getting used to but i recommend giving it a shot! it really works with the story being told. like, really works.
for the sake of warning my fellow TOS and jim obsessed freaks, this is 110% AOS kirk. what i mean is that, personally, i don't tend to enjoy the hard, angry version of jim that's always watching his back and on edge... so if you're like me, this fic might make you wince a little at first. there's swearing and defensiveness right off the bat that i do not associate with the beloved version of james t kirk who lives inside my soul.... BUT.
but but but! i have still enjoyed what i've read so far! i think that really speaks to how thorough and simply enjoyable the writing is. jim is not out of character for AOS- in fact, he's incredibly in character and well written.
i can't express how much it means to me that you dropped this into my inbox! i never ever would have found it otherwise and although it might take me a while, i'm looking forward to finishing it in it's entirety :)
here is the direct link if anyone would like to check it out!!!

Visual Novel and Otome Recommendations for the Discerning Artem Enjoyer
So, recently, I've been playing a few other otome games. And you know what? I've had to sludge through a lot of crap! It literally took me months to be able to compile a list of four games I feel confident recommending.
Also, each of these games have an aspect that might appeal to Artem fans, especially a-spec ones. Of course, your mileage may vary, but here are my recommendations.
C14 Dating: You're a college student participating in an archeological internship. The game includes friendship routes as well as romance ones. It's very chill and laid back! I have played through all of the routes and enjoyed them greatly. Though, I am specifically recommending this game for one character - Hendrik, a young geologist who is a TA at the dig site. He is canonically asexual, and is the only character of his kind that I've encountered in a dating sim. The subject matter is also handled very well. This game was actually recommended to me by an anon, and I thank them so very much for it!
Trouble Comes Twice: Adrian. That's all. I'm kidding. Unless? But for real, he feels like if you took Artem Wing, but put him in the childhood friend role. It works so well. I am being entirely serious. Sexualities aren't usually outright stated as most of the characters are bisexual, but in Hazel's Adrian route, Adrian explicitly mentions never having had romantic or sexual feelings before. And Hazel is very chill about it. Which makes Adrian canonically a-spec to me! As for the protagonists, Jace and Hazel, they're an acquired taste, but they get much better as the plot goes on. The game is also a little short, but I enjoyed it very much!
Our Life: Beginnings & Always: Part of me regrets playing this game because now I will never get the chance to play it for the first time again. It is so fucking good. The amount of customization is unreal and unmatched. Cove is a wonderful love interest, and honestly? He might even beat Artem in the blushy boy department. He's also canonically demisexual and embodies the "me and the bad bitch I pulled by being autistic" meme. And on top of this, the game is free. DLC (which includes more memories and two additional love interests) is also extremely cheap, and the price of it all combined is still a lot cheaper than most games.
Lovebrush Chronicles: Definitely the closest to Tears of Themis in terms of it being an otome gacha that finally got its global release back in October. Artem fans tend to be drawn to Clarence and Alkaid, but will find reason to also like Ayn and Lars. For instance, I love all of them. Please send help. The game's localization is excellent and makes the love interests feel more human. The game also has no qualms about making fun of its own characters, and the MC will frequently have the chance to lovingly bully the boys. Speaking of the MC - she is incredible and I love her. She takes no shit and is the only otome MC that has made me think, "yeah, I would definitely say that too," and I love her for it.

32/50 days of productivity
I am still terribly tired, but today I felt very productive and it gave me some positive energy. Tomorrow I will have to finish a couple of tasks linked to the preparation of my history of religions exam, but hopefully I will still cut out some spare time for some more reviewing. I cannot wait for this to be over. I think I'll spent the rest of the week sleeping after my exams. In the list of happy things for the day me and my dad started a quest of trying to give archeological definitions for the vases we have around the house for no reason at all, my brother got a tattoo of a silly doodle I made for him years ago (and it's triggering again my urge to get more tattoos), and the new cartoon series by Zerocalcare is out today so I hopefully will get to watch a couple of episodes!
Productivity:
Finished writing notes on the book summery (yet another shoutout to the beloved anon who saved me)
Reviewed out loud said notes
Did a general review of my protohistory material
Started writing down key words for my history of religions stuff (it was a last minute decision, I wasn't thinking about actually doing this, but I needed an effective way to review everything at least once. Today I did more or less half of it and I should be over with it tomorror)
Started rereading my first set of notes for the book I had to study for my history of religions class (I am more or less half way into this as well, and I also plan on finishing tomorrow)
Crochet + podcast to fill my free time without too many digital screens
Irish on duolingo
Self care:
Read a few pages in the morning (I actually caught myself scrolling online before actually reading which shouls be enough to tell you my energy and mental state at the moment)
Took a relaxing bath cause boi do I need to relax rn
