I've gotten a big behind on sharing my mech paints, so here are a few new ones!
First is my new archer, the first I used the new gold paint on instead of yellow. It's already gone into combat (and gotten deleted because it got caught in the open!)
Next is my Fire Moth. It too has seen combat, though not painted at the time. My roommate obliterated me and it didn't get to really shine ;-;
After that, the War Hawk! I actually painted that one once already, but I wasn't happy with it, so I stripped it and redid it in my paint scheme.
At this point I'm basically making my own mercenary company lol. Calling them the Red Scales. I just like red and yellow paint jobs. I wonder why? }:3c
(No they are not kurita I just like these colors OK? Lol)
We also post our magic items to Threads, and sometimes we take inspiration and requests from our followers there. This came from someone who was a big fan of birds!
Archer Hawk Harness @/isabellathebird_ on threads
Wondrous Item, uncommon
“This lightweight leather harness is designed to fit over a bird of prey, or similar flying familiar. A magical, polished gem is embedded on the chest, with small runes of evocation carved around it.”
This harness can be worn by any flying creature of size medium or smaller. If you spend 10 minutes, you can link the gem on the harness to a ranged weapon.
Once per turn, when you deal ranged weapon damage to a target, if a flying pet or familiar wearing the harness is within 10 feet of your target, a magical dart will shoot from the harness dealing an additional 1d8 force damage.
Join us in Discord or on Twitch every Mon\Wed\Fri to create new D&D Homebrews like magic items, monsters, or subclasses. If you want to support Cloaks & Capes check out our Patreon for 636+ magic items, 9 monsters, 200+ tokens, maps, and more for just $3\month.
We add over 30 new items a month and 1+ monster a week.
(I know he becomes a metahuman during ga/bc but that’s not what I’m talking about)
In 2002 there was a book titled JLA: Ultimate Guide to the Justice League of America, published by DK Publishing with a “From the Archives of DC Comics” stamp on the front. It says, and I quote, “Years studying hand to hand fighting at the ashram have honed Connor into an unparalleled opponent whose metagene enables him to have phenomenal ‘physical memory.’ Once he has witnessed a move, Connor can instantly adapt it to his own growing repertoire of martial arts disciplines.” I have NO clue where they got that info
In Robin #79 written by Chuck Dixon in 2000, Connor fights a demon but gets knocked out. Tim Drake thinks to himself that Connor is “a major league meta-human all star.” Chuck wrote that! At that point he had written more Connor content than any other writer!
In 2002’s Green Arrow #14, after Connor gets shot by Onomatopoeia, a news anchor says ““…but sources tell us that as he’s not a meta human…”
