Sullivan Entertainment's 'Sullivan Releasing' handled new VHS releases throughout Canada. At one point this included the Sam & Max cartoon on VHS in 1998. Here are the mentions of that acquisition from their own website, and their own official listing of the 'Y Files'. I'm assuming that July 1998 is the release date of the VHS, going by what the website says.

🟣 Purple- What is something that your OC could not live without? What keeps them grounded in the worst of times?

Devin His studies. Though it's been pointed out that he really loved track and field, his studies — which he loves remarkably less — are something he can never actually let go of due to how ingrained they are in his life. He's been working on his education for as long as he can remember at the will of his family, sometimes forgetting to eat and losing sleep for the sake of studying for tests. Even now, in what was supposed to be a vacation, and when he is out of the prying eyes of his family, did he bring books to pour over. If that was taken from him he simply wouldn't know what to do with himself. It's a crutch, at this point, though he would never admit to it.

Sun & Moon Each other — to a codependent and obsessive degree. They have had nothing but themselves to rely on for the last decade, have had no one to talk to, to keep them going, to keep their hope from dissolving entirely. This would not change were they in separate bodies. It wouldn't change if Sun or Moon did something the other considered Too Far. They are a bonded pair. They have lived their entire life together, and they fully intend to die together, when the time comes. There is not one without the other. To forcibly separate them even for a moment would be torture, and it would end very, very badly for everyone involved.

Faber's name is a tongue in cheek reference to Faber Castell, yes!

But I have no idea what Crawford and Black is (I could look it up, but it's past midnig- actually hang on), huh, acrylic paint marker brand / art supplies? I've literally never seen it in my life (not online, or offline in Australia). So no, Caleb's name isn't a reference to that! But that is a cool little random dovetail.

(Incase people don't read the tags: The reason this annoys me so much isn't because I hate the show, it's because I want this show to do well. I want this show to make me feel like I should care for any of it's characters and plot points because it's well made, not because it's been created by an artist who is already popular online. I truly believe the animators and voice actors are giving it their all for this show, the voice acting is honestly the best quality in my opinion and everyone nails their roles, but the writing and pacing has so far been a cluster fire.

This is a legit show now, it's being funded by Amazon's money with literal broadway stars as parts of the cast. If season 1 taught the people creating this show anything it's that there needs to be breathing time for the plot points and the characters, and I sincerely hope that season 2 takes this into account. I doubt it with how much they've said they're going to include, but I really hope that, for animation as a whole - cuz god knows Disney hasn't been pumping out good animated movies as of late - season 2 takes into account what season 1 did poorly and improves on it)

Fallout is so delightful. I don't know that I have a lot to say about it but it's nailing the video game aesthetic, Lucy is adorable, the Ghoul is a spectacular Walton Goggins deployment, and I'm coming around on Maximus because he becomes infinitely more tolerable when he's sharing a screen with Lucy. Usually if I don't like a guy and then he's presented with a romance subplot he just finds new and worse ways to annoy me more but they're so cute together. I am rooting for him!

The lasso's rope would be made of some comic-science-technobabble plant fibers straight from The Green because Swamp Thing/Poison Ivy interwoven with Nth Metal stolen from Bruce's stockpile because Fuck You Dad.

It's conductive to electricity so he can do Nightwing stuff with it, super strong so the writers can completely mangle how mass and inertia work to their hearts' content, has Nth Metal "whatever seemed cool/the plot needed us to do at the time" powers for that little zaz you sometimes need, and could probably be made to channel the powers of the All-Blades if that's still not enough for the current writer.

In fifteen years, a new writer will have Jason's MegaMetalMagic Lasso merge with his nervous system somehow and Jason will spend about 14 months basically being "Batman If He Were Venom/Carnage" before he's retconned back to his old Just Guns version by whoever comes after.

Ten years after that, Red Hood With A Lasso will have kept on appearing in one-offs and side-stories so much he basically becomes an alternate version of Red Hood With A Gun and the two are officially split into separate characters after the next Crisis Retcon.

Gun Jason/Lasso Jason becomes the 4th most popular Batpairing on AO3 within the month.

I feel like a Jason who doesn't kill shouldn't be using rubber bullets or crowbars, he should be using guns that shoot tranquilizers like that seems like such a more intuitive Jason (especially a Jason who is trying to reconcile with the batfam/Bruce) I don't get why dc writers don't go that direction (I'm kidding, of course. I know why. None of these people has read Batman: The Cult, that's why.)

So I need to talk about Damian and Wonder Woman. Also, the acrobat on tiktok inspired this a bit.

Damian adores her, and the feeling is 100 per cent mutual.

Like when they interact in the comics it's so funny and oftentimes so heartfelt.

Diana is the daughter of a God and a queen burdened by legacy and truths hidden from her. She is a complex character who tries to live up to the expectations of those she was raised to lead while also trying to protect the innocents of a culture that sometimes despises her.

She looks at Damian Al Ghul Wayne and sees a mirror. Sees the rage, the doubt and need to prove yourself. All things she feels and wishes she did not. The little Robin is so young to be this troubled.

So she tries her best to help. The boy, while quite verbose in his barbs, is respectful to those who have earned it, loyal and unendingly kind. (He was raised by Talia, Damian Wayne, respects women!!)

Diana spars with the little warrior, and they bond over their shared love of swords. He is quite feirce and after he compliments her own skills they start teaching eachother different fighting styles from their homelands.

Damian shows her his art after she catches him sketching, Diana, who has worked as a curator for years, is suitably impressed with his talent and gives him feedback. Damian later gives her a sketch of herself in the heat of battle. She smiles and has this precious treasure framed.

When Damian trusts her a little more, he introduces her to his pets, and she falls in love with the small zoo that Damian has befriended. She especially loves Goliath, but Damian gets a haunted look in his eyes when he explains how he met the dragon bat. Diana just hugs him. There's nothing she can say that the young warrior doesn't already know. (Damian names one of Batcows progeny Wondercow in her honour, and Diana can't think of a better tribute!)

They grow closer after that, She and Damian have tea when they have time and Damian tells her about how Clarks son left and came back a man he didn't recognise anymore. Diana thinks of her own immortality and advises him to stay with Jon, that he will need his friendship now more than ever. Damian takes her advice seriously.

He endeavours to be a better friend to her as well after that, too.

When she has Lizzie, her beautiful daughter, there's no one she trusts more with her than Damian, whom she watched grow up to be a man with more honour than almost any she's ever known. (If Jon joins him, she just enjoys Damians' reaction to the new Superman.)

When Lizzie comes home excited about her adventures and calling Damian big brother all Diana can feel is warm. (She trusts Damian to protect her, she helped train him. She is less enthused about the swear words Lizzie now innocently repeats.)

When Damian decides to become a healer. Finally leading his own path, despite his Fathers protests. Diana is nothing but supportive. She takes Damian into her home while he goes to med school, Lizzie is over the moon to live with her brother from now on.

Diana takes Bruce aside and beats sense into his emotionally constipated skull, but doesn't send Damian home for a while. It's too much fun to have the Dragons and her little warrior around the house.

When Damian becomes a doctor, he handles a lot of the other heros health care, and Diana grants him permission to study in Themyscara so he can provide proper care to the amazons that live in man's world. The other amazons are wary and cold but slowly warm to the young doctor that fights with the fury of Ares chosen to protect his patients. Like any good Amazonian healer.

When Lizzie tells her about walking in on Jon kissing Damian, both Mother and Daughter have a good time threatening the Super to ensure his continued respect for their favourite man. (She does think they are very cute together.)

Batman and Superman are upset that Diana knew about their sons dating before they did.
