Alpha Sera x omega Emily; suggested it to an author once and they wrote it, but I wanna hear your thoughts cause I'm bored and why not
I am very, very picky about my a/b/o dynamics, full disclosure.
I think Sera would, despite being an Alpha, have more stereotypical Omega tendencies - she's the one constantly bringing things for nesting, she's more prone to being anxious.
She is also very, very possessive. She can't scent Emily - not properly, not like Mates, only like Family (which is still Good, but it's not right) - so she's constantly nearby. When she's close to rut, she tries her best not to be obvious but she is SoSo touchy - the same when Emily is close to heat. If Sera does not have her arm around Emily in some way when either of them (or both) are close to their respective cycle, she feels like she's dying.
Adam learned the Hard Way to keep away from them for two days either side. Sera pulled the blow at the last second, realized what she was doing in time, but he came very close to dying at Sera's hands.
Emily basks in the attention - she Loves her sister, Loves her SoSo much and wishes Sera would touch her more in public even when neither of them were close. Yes, she feels safe in the Nest, but nothing compares to the Warmth and Safety and Love of being encased in both Sera's arms and wings.

god actually. continuing off that last post, the thing that really helped draw me into ruinacorp to begin with Was the fact that there was little to no focus on romantic or sexual attractiveness or thematics. like... not in a ">:) hehe im being so subversive look at me you expected??? me to talk about sex??? well im NOT haha." it just straight up. doesnt fucking mention it At All. not a hint. any character that Is in a relationship simply... Is. its still uncommon, anyhow. and even if there Is that pre-established relationship, theyre still like... people? theyre just people about it.
the only time it really Is is with roland, and thats only when hes being a little shit and teasing people On Purpose. otherwise? no baity remarks, no weird implications. just people. and like, the horrors, but still. people. even in th community too, (at least on tumblr iguess, i dont go anywhere else,) theres just. not a huge focus on ship content with the cast. and even when it is, it feels a lot more comfortable than some other circles ive been around in. like. yknow. Man(tm).

Im personally not usually a guy to look for adaptions crime and punishment just has such a hold on me i want all i can get but ohhh. Im surprised theres nothing extensive recently. 2007 was close but blonde rodya + the finale just like...Okay. please. We xan perfect it. Rodya can be a pathetic looking handsome guy and have dark hair and eyes. Please? More than that but how have we het to. 1970 rodya is the closest for me...

[ all jokes aside, I will ship Dion with other people. I like him with Joshua in most cases. I like him with Clive in very rare cases. In his modern AU, literally anyone is on the table. But in his canon, its Terence unless Terence passes away - then Dion can/will date someone else after he has a healthy grief period and can move on. ]

Just hunted down a physical copy of "Pages Passed from Hand to Hand: The Hidden Tradition of Homosexual Literature in English from 1748 to 1914" that's in good condition, affordable, and without abhorrent shipping fees, and yes yes, having to wait three weeks until it gets here is entirely reasonable, but also I'm so excited for it, my already non-existent well of patience is a little kid waiting for presents on Christmas help

For the ask game 🐚 and 🧩!
🐚 ⇢ do you like or dislike surprises?
I usually prefer them, provided they aren’t…out of the blue and have absolutely zero context or foundation. Even if you miss the clues, I’d prefer to have something building up to the surprise as opposed to just pulling a random…rabbit outta a hat kinda thing.
🧩 ⇢ what will make you click away from a fanfiction immediately?
I’m unfortunately terribly picky.
Really bad formatting or a lack of formatting entirely. Poor characterization (as in, you are shaping the character to fit the narrative to the point they’re unrecognizable and it isn’t for comedic effect). Lack of compelling chemistry between characters (not even romantic, like just straight up cardboard cutouts of talking heads).
oh, and a list of tags so long that I know what I’m looking for isn’t in the fic at all but somehow, some way, the fic was a result of meeting filter criteria.
Sometimes, I can look past the last three and get through something and have a good time.
The first one is an immediate nope-we-are-not-doing-this. Massive paragraphs without breaks? Constant use of the same sentence structure and not putting new dialogue on a separate line?
