For example, if the Izanami that A-kun imagines and the Izanami that B-kun thinks of are completely different, I think the question that would normally arise is, “Which one is correct?” But as far as Izanami is concerned, I don't think there is an answer. Of course I'm studying about this character’s position and role in the work, but I myself, who plays the role, wonder, “In the end, what is Izanami?” “What kind of person is Izanami?” and it’s with this mysterious aspect, I believe, is what makes Izanami unique. On stage, this exact feeling is what I want everyone to see and what I want to convey.

Different, but all very pat-pattable!

Northerns live in a harsh climate, so they need the thick fur to survive. Fur of median subspecies way softer, southern aspils are smoooth. Climate also affects their colors.

Welcome to Irela

So, in an effort to actually be more active and work on my WIP Our Lady Knight, I thought I’d actually start posting about it. Starting with a map!

Its still a little messy, but I think it is readable, which is good enough. I want to break some parts of it down. 

Irela can be broken into two sections. The Lush Territories are in the north, which consists of Aspil and the Fruitful Fields, Cashar and the Lonely Forest, and Idras. These countries mostly consists of humans, with a Dwarven colony in Ozkery and a few Vael Elves in Vaelmiris.

The the south, you have the Southern Empires-Toria, Highvael, Kechel, Ashon, and Ascait. The Southern Empires are much more diverse, where Dwarves in Kechel and Elves in Highvael actually outnumber humans in Toria and Ashon. 

Some fun facts:

Toria is the heart of trade, monitoring trade from the agriculture in Aspil to crafted goods from Kechel and Highvael. Due to this it is very disperse with more Elves and Dwarves moving there to try and start a business or as merchants.

Toria  has a history of rulers getting corrupted and trying to conquer Irela several times. The Silver Knights were founded here for that reason and have been able to prevent/deal with corruption. In the 300 years they have been around, no one has started a war because of corruption.

Ashon, home to mostly humans, have very strict religious beliefs which say that magic is bad. They want to eradicate it from Irela, but do not have the man power to get past the Mountains of Kechel, or sail to Highvael or Toria. Instead they went to Ascait and ‘converted’ the Cait Elves there. Silver Knights are not allowed in either country.

There are big cultural and physical differences between the Vael Elves and Cait Elves! Vael Elves tend to be taller while Cait Elves have longer ears, the Cait Eves also have much darker skin than Vael Elves. Vael culture places a high emphasis on proving individual worth while Cait culture is very collectivist and helping the group. Don’t get them mixed up!

The Lush Territories, other than through trade, don’t have a lot to do with the Southern Empires, preferring to keep to themselves. Part of it is due to resentment of when Toria tried to conquer them and the other part due to more embedded racism that comes from the religion practiced there. With all the political drama that happens in the Lush Territories, the Southern Empires are more than happy leaving them alone.
