so i actually wrote that thing about alec learning of all the horrible things asmodeus did to magnus growing up, and just going to fucking deck him. but it did not turn out anything like i intended.

“Alexander, would you like to explain to me how, exactly, you destroyed your hand?”

Alec looked down at the offending hand with a grimace. It was all black and blue, one of the fingers twisted in a way that suggested it was broken. More concerning, neither iratzes nor Magnus’s magic seemed to be doing much to help. Magnus could only assume this had to do with contact that was demonic in origin, not a simple altercation.

“Um,” said Alec, as Magnus carefully wrapped his hand, then laid an ice pack over it. He ducked his head. Embarrassment? Magnus thought. Why? “I sort of… punched someone.”

“I’d gathered that. But who? Why? And I know it wasn’t a simple fight; you wouldn’t have to heal the mundane way otherwise.”

Alec mumbled something that Magnus couldn’t make out.

Magnus tapped his chin to tilt his head up. “Talk to me. What happened?”

Alec winced just thinking about it. “It was, uh… Asmodeus.”

Magnus stared at him. “What.” Then his thoughts started to spiral. “Wait, did he come after you? Did he attack the Institute?” But why would Alec be embarrassed if that were the case? Why wouldn’t he just contact Magnus immediately?

“Not exactly.” Alec looked back down at his hands. Magnus hadn’t seen him look so cowed in a long time. “It was more like the opposite.”

Magnus’s entire being stuttered to a halt. “You went after him? What on earth could have possibly possessed you to do such a thing?”

“Cat said something at the Institute yesterday,” Alec rushed to explain, “she was there to heal someone in the infirmary. She mentioned something off-handedly about how she was glad Asmodeus hadn’t come after you for a while, how she was glad you’d stood up to him the way you did, because he’d hurt you for so long. I think she regretted mentioning it almost immediately. But I didn’t totally understand what she meant, so I asked and she sort of… alluded to some things that had happened when you were a child. Please don’t be angry with her.”

Magnus wasn’t. He was angry with his husband, however. “So you… went to punch him?” he said incredulously.

“I couldn’t stand the thought of him hurting you like that. I couldn’t stop thinking about you hurting and being alone and I just... I had to do something about it.”

In another situation, Magnus would probably have found this endearing. If Alec had punched a Shadowhunter who made some snitty comment about their relationship, Magnus would have cheered him on. Normally, Alec wanting to defend him affected him in ways he didn’t know how to put into words. So few people had wanted to defend him before, or thought him worthy of protection.

But this was different. This was Asmodeus.

“And he didn’t hurl you into another dimension?” he said flatly.

“I think he just found it amusing,” Alec admitted. He flexed his hand experimentally, and winced at the stilted movement of it. “In retrospect, it was probably not a good idea.”

“Oh, in retrospect? Only in retrospect do you realize it was not a good idea?” Magnus hated feeling angry with Alec, but he’d thought they were done with this.

“I know, I know,” Alec sighed. “He could have killed me and all. Sorry.”

“Well, for one, I don’t think you actually are sorry, but secondly, that’s not what I’m angry about.” Magic prickled at Magnus’s hands, and he clenched them into fists to quell it. Sparks slipped out between his fingers anyway. “I don’t think he would have killed you. Asmodeus is far too manipulative to simply give up a good hand like that.”

Now Alec looked up at him. Magnus could see the confusion in his eyes, how he didn’t understand. And Magnus knew why. Alec was an incredibly righteous person. When he saw something wrong, he had to correct it, no matter the consequences. Usually, Magnus loved him for it. But not when it meant the words Magnus said got ignored and trampled over.

“My father always plays the long game,” he explained, finally sitting down in his armchair and trying to force some of his tense muscles to relax. “He wants to manipulate me. And he doesn’t give in to fits of pique. He knows he can use threats against you to make me do what he wants, so he would never just kill you and give that power up. If you’re dead, that entire hand is played, and Asmodeus never overplays his hand.”

Alec fiddled with the edge of his bandage. “I wasn’t thinking. I didn’t—”

“—understand,” Magnus finished. “Yes, I know. I don’t blame you for that.” He knew that Alec’s parents, while frequently terrible in their own right, didn’t behave in this way. If Maryse and Robert tried to manipulate Alec, it was always with a specific goal in mind. Reputation, upholding the family name. Magnus had never seen them manipulate Alec just for the sheer sake of manipulation itself.

“Then why—”

“Because you didn’t listen to me!” Magnus exclaimed, then forcibly softened his voice. “You didn’t trust me when I said that I know how to handle my own father better than anyone else, and you didn’t listen to me when I asked you not to contact him. I don’t want him in my life, Alec. I don’t want him to know things about me, or us. If he decides to start poking at me again, then I’ll deal with it, and maybe I’ll even ask you to help me. But I don’t want to invite contact. I don’t want to let him in any more than he’s already forced his way in.”

He leaned forward on his knees, breathing hard after all that. The last thing he wanted was to make Alec think he hated him for trying to do what he thought was right, especially when he knew Alec took mistakes in their relationship hard, but he needed to get him to understand, somehow. It was so hard to get people who hadn’t experienced it to understand.

“Also,” Magnus added, before he could lose his nerve to talk about it at all, “if you have questions about my past, you can ask me. I know I’ve not always been… forthright about it, but I’d still prefer you talk to me directly, rather than asking someone else.”

Alec was silence for several moments. Magnus was briefly terrified that he’d said too much, that he’d been too harsh, that he’d blamed Alec too much for an ignorance that wasn’t quite his fault. But eventually, Alec laid his unhurt hand on Magnus’s knee. “I’m sorry,” he said, with that typical Alec gravity that had floored Magnus every time since he’d first heard it. “You’re right, I didn’t listen to you when you said that. You— you deserve every protection I can offer you, Magnus, but you should get to determine what that looks like. I’m sorry.”

Magnus resisted the urge to say it’s alright, actually and instead took his hand. “Thank you.” Alec gave him a small smile, and Magnus kissed his knuckles. “I love you, you know.”

“And I love you,” Alec replied automatically.

“You are a good man,” Magnus told him, “and I know it’s hard to accept that there people who are going to keep harming others, especially when—” he squeezed Alec’s hand— “you love the person who’s being hurt. But I’ve had to learn the very hard way to pick my battles, and sometimes the best thing you can do is to pick yourself. Staying away from him does protect me. It protects me more than going after him would.”

Alec got up from his seat on the couch and came over to give him a hug. Magnus leaned into the tight press of his body. This protected him too, he thought. Having Alec’s strength at his side reminded him that he didn’t have to be near people who would hurt him in the name of false care. He had better love now.

“I can’t believe you exist sometimes,” Alec murmured into his hair. “You’re so strong.”

Magnus was still always so impressed by his determination to do things better, to make things right. It was not an easy thing to do. He smiled and kissed his shoulder. “And so are you, my Shadowhunter.”

Prompt event

Sleeping with Asmo was a dream. He hardly moves and has the most comfortable bed you have ever slept on in your life. The silk sheets are so soft to the touch, the satin comforter was light but warm. And of course, Asmo was your personal heater and cuddle bug.

Asmo always does his nightly routine, making sure his hair is in a bonnet or curlers before he does his skincare. And of course he always has you do with him. But after late night activities with your beloved, you two completely passed out right after.

Light peaks through the curtains, casting a light glow on both of your faces, slowly waking you up. Asmo has his arm around your waist, his head tucked into the crook of your neck, you are covered in sweat and so is he.

You hold him close to you, your fingers sliding into his usually silky, soft hair but not this morning. His hair is flat and tangled, making it hard to comb through with your fingers.

Asmo lets out a huff at the sudden tug, his eyes opening softly. He tugs at your waist gently. Pink, painted finger nails digging into your bare flesh.

"Good morning my darling.." His voice is soft and full of sleep as he presses kisses to your neck and collar bone.

His lips trail up your jaw line, admiring his love bites from the night before as he does so. Once he gets to your lip he presses a long, loving kiss to them, taking the air from your lungs.

You smile up at him, eyes half lidded and full of love. Asmo can't help but admire you, his own finger card through your hair. You lean into his touch, kissing his wrist and cupping his face.

"You have such a beautiful soul, MC." He whispers. His words make your body ignite with goosebumps, cheeks painted pink. It was such an odd compliment, but it meant the world to you. You forget Asmo and his brothers can literally see your soul. So it adds a bit more extra meaning to it in a way.

"I can't see your soul like you can mine....but I know yours is just as amazing as you, even after all you've been though, Asmo." You say, forefingers moving his bangs away from his face and behind his ears.

"Oh my word, you're gonna make me cry." Asmo sniffles, using one hand to fan his face as tears prinkle at his waterline. You giggle, peppering kisses along his face and lips.

"I also love your bed head." Asmo stiffens at your words. He then wordlessly gets out of bed and b-lines for his body mirror. He lets out a loud, dramatic gasp that most likely woke the whole house up.

"Oh...my...Diavolo!!!" Your boyfriend screeches, pulling your from the bed. He grabs your naked shoulders, eyes full of tears once again.

"MC...MY HAIR!"

-Since he is staying up all night, i made his clothes more messy. Yeah, now he looks like single mother of 6. I feel like nights at Devildom should be hella cold. So i now his clothes are warmer.

-Glasses.

-More blue. He still have a lot of Gold and Red, but now you can see at least a little bit of his sin colour.

Mammy

-I THINK WE ALL CAN AGREE that Mammon is that type of ppl who would wear EVERY SINGLE gold thing he has, just to look more rich.

-Also i think he would wear some stupid accessory, like eyepatch and thinking he looks cool and badass. But he actually looks good with eyepatch tho-

Stolas’ childhood isn’t as sad as people make it out to be. Compared to Blitz’s and especially Moxxie’s, what Stolas went through was essentially #royalty struggles.

Verosica and her crew should’ve won the demon duel against I. M. P for the parking spot. They only lost because that was what the plot demanded.

Speaking of “Spring Broken”, I don’t feel bad for Loona not getting with Vortex. Let’s be honest for a second, she JUST MET this guy and vice versa. Aside from their names, they know NOTHING about each other; she’s not entitled to a romantic relationship with him and he shouldn’t have to feel pressured into being with her. They are better off as friends.

While they are wholesome as a couple, I think that Moxxie and Millie would be better off as a work wife/ work husband, living their own separate lives. Their dynamic is slowly becoming more and more co-dependent as far as Moxxie needing Millie to basically baby him whenever he’s in his feelings or bail him out whenever he’s in trouble. When was the last time he bailed her out of a jam? All the way back in “Murder Family”.

I wasn’t impressed with Assmodeus’ character design.

Blitz and Stolas are both unfit for each other. As a couple. Or as friends. They are both harmful to each other, and I can’t bring myself to support them (especially as a ship).

“C. H. E. R. U. B.” shouldn’t have happened.

We took the pilot for granted, mainly the usage of flashbacks. It would’ve ultimately removed the stupid issues of “tell don’t show” as well making important developments happen offscreen in later seasons *cough* season two *cough*.

Y’know what? Have the episodes of season two instead be added on to season one, ‘cause this season so far has been 🗑️.

Mammon has returned, this time not sharing his own hardships, but making life hard for another species: Satans. Many people don't know this, but recent studies have shown there are two kinds of Satan, gold and silver. Speaking of glutes, look at this heartbroken Asmodeus. It's in his name, ASSmodeus. Clearly, this kind of male loves ass as much as he loves the mirror section at IKEA and fake plants bugs won't sit on combined. This Asmo had spotted some potential mate with, in his words, 'a pretty nice derriere.' Imagine the pain he felt when the mate, potentially a Mc dressed as a succubus at a Halloween party, vanished from sight. Scientists were brought to tears by this image. So sad.

Many of us can relate to this poor Belphegor. It's a sad reality we live in: waking up everyday from precious sleep to go to work, school, or to see your laundry you forgot to fold. Theory Time: Stella is playing mind games with Octavia (another form of abuse)

In 2x12 (in a leaked clip) Octavia accuses Stolas for using pills to “just to deal with her” as a daughter as a whole.

Proof:

* However we ALL know that’s not the real reason why Stolas takes antidepressants; 1) Because of the cruelty he had to endure for the last 17 years from Stella and 2) Because he had been flat out rejected AND accused — about something he had no awareness of what he was doing wrong — by Blitz after their so called “date” at Ozzie’s.

• Though to be fair Blitz WAS the one who called Stolas to come to Ozzie’s and instigated the whole thing (it was really Jizzarolli and AssModeus’s fault for calling Stolitz out for sleeping together and humiliating them in the process)

Well, I’m beginning to highly suspect that with all this going on. I think Stella is telling Octavia some untruthful things about her dad (because she knows Stolas is miserable to the max from being married to her and suffering from her cruelty and she must know he still takes antidepressants — after all, she had lived with the man for 17 years straight and would have noticed at SOME point! — so what does she do?

Of course, Stella would take advantage of it!

But for what reason, you ask?

Well, we know that Stella wants to take all of Stolas’s happiness away from him (as much as she possibly can, y’know as abusers do), so, that could even include winning full custody of Octavia — with her lawyers and lying about what a “bad parent” Stolas had been (which is funny because he did most of the upbringing of Octavia, and STELLA was the actual alleged bad parent for doing all this shit, as well as NOT comforting her daughter at a young age after having a freakin NIGHTMARE, but, anyways) she even threatened Stolas, in 2x01, that her (soon to be ex-husband) PAY for it from falling of little grace he had.

* Now, to be honest, I thought when she said this, it was in reference Stolas’s relationship with Blitz somehow, but yeah, I can see how Octavia can have an effect on this as well.

(More so the fact that Stolas sort of depends on Octavia and her presence without feeling lonely and he sure as hell doesn’t want Stella’s company - I mean, come on, why would you with someone like her? I actually don’t blame him)

Jesus…. the guy can NOT catch a break 🥺 (not even before the divorce court date yet! Because Stella’s still giving Stolas SHIT and possibly playing MIND GAMES with Octavia, of all people?! Her own freakin DAUGHTER?!

Actually? I’m not surprised given the way that Cash, Crimson, and Paimon all neglected and abused their sons without any sort of consequence. But yeah sure let’s add STELLA, the person who’s already trying to kill Stolas, to the mix. Not saying that the latter has hit Octavia or anything, yet, I don’t think… but she’s STILL being abused in another way. Something less obvious this time…

Why I think Stella is emotionally manipulating Octavia (subconsciously?):

“Your father is going to leave you behind all for that weird red dickhead (— in reference to Blitz —) and they’re gonna go somewhere you can’t follow them.”

Sound familiar? It’s almost like Octavia had been given the task to rehearse (by Stella’s manipulative influence) this to make it to probably get Stolas to feel guilt-ridden enough to make him stay married — haha! That didn’t exactly work nice try (sarcasm), Stella; you’re still getting your ass divorced, regardless — to the latter (as cruel people LOVE to keep their victims on a leash and bully them to get what they want; to have the person feel hurt and deprived of love etc)

Then again, Octavia is STILL her own person as well so this is just something she feels without Stella’s influencing her (but her mother would probably be whispering in her ear like the devil on her shoulder or something. Maybe. I don’t know I might be reading into this too much)

OR

“Your father is taking pills because he has to deal with you, Octavia, and he doesn’t want to, because you’re nothing more than a precautionary heir to him. Now, is that all? Because I’m incredibly busy right now.” or something like that.

Because if we know Stella she WILL find a way to use her argument with Stolas but twist the words, so to speak, so when he said “you and I were arranged to birth a precautionary heir, nothing more”

And it won’t be hard to get Octavia to be manipulated by that because she’s ALREADY broken; she already thinks her dad is going to leave her behind and run off with Blitz (despite Stolas saying that he would never do that to her, but the anxiety is STILL there, in the back of her mind…

I’ve learned from other experiences (through friends of friends) if you don’t feel loved enough then you’ll listen to the BAD people and, unfortunately, if Stella, is using the “I’m your mother, Octavia! You should trust me!” card…

Yeah, that’s not going to end well for her (or Stolas for that matter, IF he finds out about the possible emotional manipulation that’s going on)

The worst part is? We don’t KNOW (I’ll admit that much to avoid the critique behind this) what Stella and Octavia’s relationship is like and EVERY weekend she is staying with her mother; she COULD be poisoning her mind beyond Stolas’s knowledge. He can’t defend or help his daughter if he doesn’t know about it!

Another thing, I would like to point out, is that in 2x02 Stella said to Stolas for him to “stop turning her against me” Foreshadow (or projection lol) much? Because think about it: who does Octavia most likely remind Stella of in appearance-wise?

I think Stella knows that she can’t physically — or mentally for that matter — hurt Octavia in the open because THAT is something Stolas would NOT tolerate, in the past would have sacrificed himself any sort of abuse from his wife, just so their daughter wouldn’t

So, I think, I’m my opinion, Stella does it in a way that Stolas won’t know about. And WHAT better time and place to do it, then on a fuckin weekend (since the latter moved out, he can’t really moderate her and see if she’s targeting Octavia or not whether it’s obvious or discreet)

tho ive been in the fandom for quite sometimes i must admit im blank at this lcgkfjgkj. but technically (????) maybe yeah. i think normally a greater demon has to be summoned (especially with the whole princes of hell kind of thing) cause i think there has to be some balance. if a prince of hell can waltz to earth no complications whatsoever basically everyone would be dead. i mean in trsom asmodeus appeared for like a few minutes and we can see how it terrified magnus. so it appeared so. but you still should asked another person to be sure im not exactly well equipped on this matter

i really do have intense zaerellia brainrot rn. it's always bad bc something about them just truly tickles my brain goop but writing them AND playing them at the same time has everything reminding me of them aeoifjaoi

i was listening to chap/pell ro/an's ti/ny de/sk* and it starts off w casual, which usually always reminds me of a different ship but god.

the almost immature-feeling puppy love that she's constantly kicking herself for and knows is making her look like a fool but can't help reminds me soooo much of how caerellia feels about za/riel at first. like. AAAAAA.

and the best part... she's also feeling the same way but it's even funnier bc she's this ancient super soldier who used to have a whole ass wife and children before assmodeus killed them but she's trying soooooo hard not to let it show that she wants caerellia so bad it makes her stupid 😌

About Assmodeus and our situation.

So the fellow inhabitance of my new body is a demon named Assmodeus, not to be confused with Asmodeus. I will let them introduce themself when they are driving later. But basically they are a sex demon I tried to summon. Though I didn’t attempt this for the reasons you may think. I thought what better way to transition magically than to ask for a favor from a sex demon. However, due to a grammatical error in the summoning circle, I accidentally bonded us together permanently.
