Author's note: this is specifically written for the tagged blogger above, but feel free to read it anyway. This is only a bit of a drabble as I'm having a slight break down. That being said, this may go somewhere further with a part two depending on what my mental state does.

"This script is fucking ridiculous." Ray slams the stack of paper on the coffee table, folding her arms and leaning back into the rolling office chair, sassily letting it spin the other way.

"Ray, darlin', you CANNOT keep throwin' hissy fits every time ya see somethin' in the writing you don't like," her manager, Keith, explains, scratching his goatee as he speaks in a flamboyant Australian accent.

"Well, I can't necessarily focus if he keeps rewriting it." She rolls her eyes. "Listen, honey, you are an ACT-O-RESS. You don't write. You act. Miller makes the characters, you just play them." "Keith, they don't care about Miller or his stupid movies. His last good film was 'WEREWOLF', and he didn't even put in the effort to give it a meaningful name. The only reason people even watch the shit he makes is to see ME." She spins back around, her brown-eyed gaze locking onto Keith.

"Let's just be honest. The people don't want Miller. They want me. My face is on all of the movie cases. I'm the one that brings in all the cash in this establishment, and I expect to be treated as such." She pouts, prompting Keith to release an exaggerated sigh of annoyance.

Every day, he asked himself how much more of her bullshit he could take, and everyday, he took more.

"What. What do you want." He throws his hand up, the question coming out flat like old soda. "I want Miller to use at least a penny of his brain and think of something a little more creative. My brain cannot handle another thousand rewrites before he settles on the same stupid damsel story. Why do I always have to play some needlessly ignorant stuck up bitch who spends half the movie screaming?"

"Ray, you know the gimmick. They're not going to give someone with a face like yours a meaningful story or personality." "That's because people keep letting all these old and disgusting perverts become successful writers." Ray takes another spin in her chair, giving Keith attitude he was already too irritated to deal with.

"On the contrary, Ray. I'm a very desirable and young pervert." Both Ray and Keith turn towards the direction of the shady voice, eyes landing on the beholder standing in the doorway of the lounge. He was definitely desirable. There was something mysterious about him.

He looked about 6'0" with dark eagle eyes complimented by his sharp brows. He had thin, perfectly shaped lips, almost like a doll, hiding a set of killer teeth that could ruin self esteem with even the laziest smile.

He looks like the type of guy your parents tell you to avoid, but you don't because you're simply too drawn in by his crow-like beauty to do so.

"Ah, Forgive me for my vulgar behavior. I'm William Loomis, Co-director and writer. But, please, call me Billy." He circles in on them, hands behind his back as he stares Ray down with his manic, sleepy eyes like a vulture. They look big, almost excited, if not for the dark edges underneath that gave him an eerie glare.

Without breaking eye contact, he smirks, letting that smirk turn into a devilish grin as his eyebrows raised. He leans in on her.

"You must be Ray. I've seen your movies before. Astonishing, really." He reaches out to shake her hand, in which she squints and complies, giving him her freshly manicured hand as a sign of low hostility, even though her heart was beating out of her chest.

"And your hands. They're remarkable." He compliments, to which she snatches her hand away.

"So, you're also responsible for this stupid fifth rewrite of 'STAB'? How the hell are we gonna get this damn movie out there if a group of idiots can't even finish writing it?" She yammers, now visibly maddened by the mere sight of his handsome face. Now Ray was finally face to face with one of her tormentors.

"Fifth rewrite? What? You still think we're doing that mess of a movie?" He yanks the 'STAB' script of the table, carefully ripping it to shreds in front of them, Keith looking absolutely leveled by this new turn of events.

"The fuck are you doing?" Keith asks with audible frustration. " 'STAB' is out of the picture. It was a trash movie and now it's finally going where it belongs?" Billy throws it in the garbage bin.

"After a bit of persuasion, Miller has decided to let me take matters into my own hands. We're making a new movie," Billy leans in uncomfortably close to Ray, his eyes bouncing between her and Keith. "A better movie." He chuckles, pulling back.

Ray and Keith shoot each other a look, both undeniably confused by everything.

"You're sick and tired of being the same basic ass damsel in distress. Sick of being the frightened little girl they make you pretend you are. Don't you want change, Ray? Don't you want... a twist?" He gestures with his hands, knuckles clenching with excitement, Ray raising an eyebrow at the question.

"What if, for once, you get to fight? You're a strong woman, arent you? Playing in all these movies can only make you crave a certain... violence. You start to imagine yourself in the eyes of your attacker." He walks behind her chair, tucking her black and blonde split hair behind her ear before grabbing a handful.

"You see, when you imagine this...you see yourself when you're in your attackers eyes...." he lets go of her hair, crouching down," You imagine what all these fake killers see when they chase you....." He pokes her nose. "A rabbit. A fast bunny with a cute face and quick feet.... You see the appeal. You want to feel what they feel. You want a bunny to chase, don't you? You're sick of being the prey." He pulls out a hunting knife, placing it in her hand before pressing her knuckles down to ensure she gripped it.

"You want to be a predator....don't you, Ray?" Billy asked, looking Ray dead in the eyes as he holds dearly onto her hands, making sure she can't reject the weapon that was quite obviously not one of the props. Her face heats, eyes struggling to focus on his.

Keith looks between them, standing up in a ready stance to break up anything that happens.

"That's enough." Keith says firmly. "No, no. It's fine, Keith. Tell me more about the rabbit. About my rabbit. " Ray is enamored by the look of chaos in his eyes. She knows simply by his anxious glare that shes in for some wild ideas. He gives a hearty chuckle, flashing her with his perfect set of ivory chompers.

"Let me tell you about a woman by the name of Sidney Prescott."

Background: Danielle (다니엘) is a Korean-Australian singer and member of NewJeans. On July 21, 2022, NewJeans released a pre-debut music video featuring Danielle for their song "Attention". They officially debuted on August 1, 2022 with the EP New Jeans.

I remember seeing a blogger saying Danielle is an Aries rising an I disagreed. Danielle seemed really caring, sweet and talkative. Not in the way of Aries but in Cancer. However her chart makes me really convinced she's an Aries rising. Her Sun, Venus and Mercury in the 1st house makes sense! She really gives of Aries vibes and the Mercury gives her the youthful look to her (I strongly thought she was a Gemini rising as well!)

Asteroid Singer is in Gemini and it makes sense! Danielle is a beautiful singer and her singing style rends to sound nasally (Not like it's a bad thing!!).

Her asteroid Fama would be conjunct her Jupiter in the seventh house. To achieve fame she signed a contract (7th house) and is famous for singing love songs (7th house again) Jupiter shows she achieves quick and successful she became famous and rich.

Her asteroid Asia is in the 12 house! If you don't know already Danielle is mixed race and tends to get hate from Koreans (12th house rules over foreign lands and enemies), due to her mixed heritage. She also got in a scandal having something to do with the new year. So if she is an Aries rising then I wouldn't be surprised if she's the most hated NJ member in Korea :(

As for talents her Mercury at 1 degree shows she is a talented writer (Fun fact she wrote songs by NewJeans too) she could be a great song writer if she goes solo. And asteroid Singer in the third house of voice gives her that talent.

Sun conjunct NN. Destined to be great? We'll have to see her in the future!

Although her chart doesn't have a crazy amount of fame indicators it's quite interesting interpreting it.

Last song you listened to: Maybe Tomorrow by the Stereophonics. I recently rediscovered this song after probably ten years of forgetting. Filled with pathos.

Currently reading: I just finished First Love by Ivan Turgenev. I think I’ll read Crime and Punishment next (Dostoyevsky) or War and Peace (Tolstoy). They’re both sitting by the bed, demanding my attention in equal measure.

Last movie: 200 Cigarettes! I recently dug out a story I wrote back in ‘99, and vaguely recalled I was trying to emulate this film. So I wanted to watch it to see how I did, but it wasn’t on any of the five streaming services I have access to (password sharing ftw) so I’d given up on finding it only to discover yesterday that the whole movie is up on Youtube. Happiest moment of my life! (I did badly, btw, with the emulation. In my defence, I’d just left high school 😆).

Last show: Umm... Band of Brothers a couple weeks back, I guess. Rewatching for the tenth time.

Craving: Coffee, as always :)

What are wearing right now: Pyjamas and a dressing gown because *finally* it’s cold in the mornings. Love autumn.

How tall are you: Just shy of six foot. 

Piercings: Just my ears. 

Tattoos: I have four. A made-up symbol on my ankle I got when I was 18 - literally the day I was legally allowed to get it 😊 I’d planned it for a year beforehand. The word Bittersweet on my back (’all in life is bitterwseet’ as I wrote in a poem at the time) when I was 23; A series of astrological symbols on my left inner forearm which represent me, my fam, and the people who were closest to me at the time. Got that on my 30th birthday in London. And most recently, at 33, a lucky year for me when a lot of things ended and I took back my power (a long, long journey) I marked it with a tattoo - it’s on the inside of my right arm, a feather quill, and the words, ‘... I meant what I said.’ Love tattoos! Would have so many more if I was rich.

Glasses? Contacts? Glasses. My vision isn’t too bad, just need them for reading. Lil long sighted.

Last thing you ate: I haven’t yet today, it’s still too early. Last night’s dinner was pasta bake with chorizo.

Favourite colour: Green, though I really love any colour that’s bright and clear - I am currently going through a phase of bright purples and pinks.

Current obsession: Two of my OC’s and their relationship development (Arity and Jimmy). Maybe also the temple complex I’m building in Minecraft 😅 I spent all day yesterday working on it and I am thinking I might do the same today.

Any pets: Otto Von Krum the schnauzer (my baby boy); Tiki Taco the chihuahua (Daddy’s girl); and Lady Pablo, aka Tiny Bun, my rescued house rabbit.

Favourite fictional character: Favourite? Like, out of all of them?? I couldn’t possibly choose. 

The last place you travelled: Along the south coast of Western Australia, as far as Esperance. My favourite place we stopped, my favourite place in the world I think, is Denmark. It’s a beautiful town in amongst hills, with a wide green river flowing through it, surrounded by forests. It’s a different world. Oh, and it has the best pie-shop in the world too, which doesn’t hurt. [Meat pies, that is. Very Australian 😊]

Comment: Despite living down south in Melbourne, this blogger's favourite pool, North Sydney Pool, has been closed since February 2021 with a botched redevelopment in the heart of Sydney.

Extract 1: It was one of Australia’s most idiosyncratic swimming pools: nine 50-metre saltwater lanes tucked under the base of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, framed by the waterfront on one side and the art deco kitsch of Luna Park on another. North Sydney Olympic Pool fostered the careers of Australian swimming greats including Dawn Fraser, Frank O’Neill and Shane Gould – 86 world records were smashed there – and delivered exercise and respite from the heat to thousands of others.

When it closed for redevelopment in February 2021, veteran members expected to plunge back into the same pool, albeit brought up to world-class standards, late the following year. Three years on, two of themhave died while waiting for it to reopen.

DIY Bookish Christmas Baubles Tutorial

okay so, I was scrolling through my explore page one day on Instagram and stumbled across a reel that was showcasing how to make DIY Christmas baubles with little book confetti in it and I absolutely knew that I had to take a crack at it myself!

I'm going to be referencing the original blog post with instructions on how to make these bad boys, as I put my own little twist on this craft, and also being Australian, I do not have access to the same utensils she used to make her craft, so had to adapt to what I had available to me.

First of all, I want to give her a huge shout-out because I would not have even had the patience to get started on this project without her having already made a template for the sizing of each little book.

Okay so first off, I want to mention how hard it was to find the exact items that the original blogger used. The things weren't available on Australian Amazon, despite it being late November/early December when I was purchasing the supplies for this craft, nobody was selling clear plastic baubles that split in half.

I just want to stress the importance of having baubles that split in half, as if you have screw-top ones, the craft is still possible, you will just need to adjust the size of the books (which is a pain, and I do not suggest doing so)

I've compiled a list of items that are essential to creating your craft, obviously different brands can be substituted depending on availability in your area.

Utensils

Some items that I had lying about the house were:

A4 White Cardstock (A4 printer paper works fine)

Some sort of adhesive (super glue or Craft glue)

Exacto Knife & Ruler

Method

Using The Bookcase Beauty's free template, create your own template with book covers from whatever books you would like to put in your bauble. I personally wanted to make a bauble to show each book I read for my GoodReads Reading Challenges from 2020, 2021 and this year, so I googled the high-definition covers for each book and downloaded them and popped them into the template.

Once you've created your template print it out in colour on either A4 printer paper, or White Cardstock

Once you have your printed template, you'll need to stick it to your sheet of foam. you can use glue to do this, or in my case, I used double-sided adhesive sheets. I picked up a multi-pack of these from Officeworks and used them to stick the printed template to the foam.

Once your template is attached to your foam, trim the excess foam off with a guillotine or pair of scissors, leaving a sizeable margin of foam for you to precisely cut with the Exacto knife later.

For this next step, you'll need an Exacto knife and a ruler, in which you'll position your ruler along the edge of the template, dragging your blade along the edge of the ruler to cut a straight line. Depending on the size and sharpness of your blade, this might take a few tries, repeat this until there are no white borders surrounding your book covers.

Use the same method as the previous step to cut out each row of book covers. there are 5 books in a row, and each book cover should be duplicated as you want to be able to see your book from all angles within the bauble.

Once you have a row of books you can then cut out each duplicate pair of books so that the duplicate pairs remain together, and will be separated in a later step. You do not need a ruler for this step as the distance to cut is a lot smaller, and the books are easier to cut out without the ruler.

Once you have your individual pairs of covers I recommend gently cutting the foam board in half depth-wise, trimming the back of the foam board so that the foam board is now about 2.5mm thick.

Now that you have a thinner book pair, gently run the blade down the middle line separating the duplicate book covers, you do not want to cut the book covers in half, but instead create an indent for the cover to fold in half.

Once an indent has been created apply your adhesive to the back of the foam then fold the book in half so that a cover can be seen on either side.

Now you have a little mini-book! repeat the above steps until you have made all of your little books.

Using the chalk pen open your bauble and write your chosen text n one side of the bauble, this is to get a feel for sizing and placement, if you're unhappy with the sizing or placement use a damp cloth to wipe off the chalk and start again.

Once happy with your text, use the kindy glitz to add a little bit of sparkle to your bauble, and leave to dry for at least 5 hours, if possible overnight.

Using the chalk pen open your bauble and write your chosen text n one side of the bauble, this is to get a feel for sizing and placement, if you're unhappy with the sizing or placement use a damp cloth to wipe off the chalk and start again.

Once happy with your text, use the kindy glitz to add a little bit of sparkle to your bauble, and leave to dry for at least 5 hours, if possible overnight.

Once the kindy glitz is dry, fill your bauble with your books, close your bauble and secure your bauble with twine, giving it a bit of string to hang on a tree.
