a comic i made in about 15 hours for my school’s comic anthology. the theme was “evolution”

The bit in the teaser for next ep really did me in. Kristen is at her lowest, she is expelled and knows that it doesn’t just fuck her up it fucks her friends over too, and this motherfucker is trying to convert her to Helio. Yolanda gave up worshiping a divinity to teach. She cared so much about her students and tried her best to help Kristen succeed. Buddy Dawn begins his 1st class practically preaching straight out of the fucking corn bible. He revels in the fact that his student is in tears because she’s vulnerable and he can convert her.

Won't lie, I've been on Tumblr for a decade now and I've given this website a lot of flack for the stupid stuff it's done, but watching it take unabashed potshots at Twitter like this is making me kinda proud. Like I set up real estate here in 2013, suffered through years of stupid policy revisions and new re-zoning laws, and now we all get to come together as a community and shit on all the people in the city and their new idiot mayor. I've never felt this kind of camaraderie on this website before and honestly I kinda hope it never ends.

Default Skin Sets!

Two default skins sets using @withlovefromsimtown's excellent Birthday Suit set.

@isimchi posted about the lack of options for players who want darker default skin sets, so I was like 'defaults? that's my one skill!' offered to make some, and we came up with these. :) There's also a slightly edited version of the 1.00 skin available as custom, so read on.

Set one uses 0.40, 0.60, and 0.70 skins for S1, 2, and 3 defaults and is intended to be used with Lifa's S4 default from the original post. Lifa's S4 file is not included! Go download their original sets, what are you waiting for? There's loads of cool add-ons! Like freckles! And nose masks!

Set two uses 0.50, 0.70, 0.80, and 1.00 for S1, 2, 3, and 4 defaults.

The 1.00 S4 default comes in two versions, Lifa's original and a version I edited to add a small amount of highlighting to the face. It's verrrry subtle:

A custom version is included; it's completely standalone, so you can have both the original and my edit in your game, and includes a custom icon and tooltip to differentiate it.

Following Lifa's example, the files are not compressed. Proper swatches in the download. Enjoy, feel free to mix and match sets, etc!

This is genuinely kinda flipping my entire perspective on where the MCU is at right now, I’ve *never* jostled against a casting choice or even just basic creative decision from Marvel Studios this hard.

I’m not saying that I’m on the hater bandwagon but…fuck, man, you’d understand it if I was.

RDJ as Victor Von Doom is just one of those creative decisions that instantly takes all the wind out of your sails, y’know?

Like when people say the MCU is a “washed franchise” I’ve always vehemently denied the claim. I can’t even bring myself to do that right now. It’s hard to, when this feels like such a concession, an admission of defeat, the franchise firmly stating that its best days are behind it.

It just…makes me sad.
