Types of Strong House Foundation for constructing your dream home in 2023
Whenever you think about constructing your dream house, you should always consider the foundation your most important priority because a strong foundation is a reason to keep your building hold its position strong and upright. Selecting the best foundation can be very tedious because it involves a lot of factors. It becomes very confusing to focus on what because building a quality foundation at an affordable budget is the focus of many, and no one wants to compromise with these two. Each type of foundation has its own set of advantages and disadvantages, and the best option will depend on the specific circumstances of your building project. Following are the types of strong house foundations one can follow when constructing a new home in 2023.
Concrete Slab Foundation
A concrete Slab foundation is a solid, flat surface that is poured directly on the ground. It has lesser risks from termites and requires less work and less excavation. It means that this foundation is very much affordable because it requires less labour. It is a popular option for homes in areas with mild climates and relatively stable soil conditions. Additionally, it does not require a crawl space or basement, which can save on construction costs. However, it can be prone to cracking and settling over time, and it may not provide as much insulation as other types of foundations.
2. Crawl Space Foundation
A crawl space foundation is almost similar to a slab foundation, but it has a crawl space underneath that provides access to the underfloor area of the home. It is an open underground space and is less expensive compared to a basement foundation. This type of foundation is often used in areas with high water tables or unstable soil conditions. The crawl space can be vented to the outside to prevent moisture buildup and provide better insulation. However, it can be more expensive to construct than a slab foundation, and it may not provide as much storage space as a full basement.
3. Basement Foundation
A basement foundation, one of the strongest foundations is a full-height, underground structure that provides access to the underfloor area of the home. It is often used in areas with high water tables or unstable soil conditions. The basement can be finished and used as additional living space, and it can provide extra storage and utility space. However, it can be more expensive to construct than a slab or crawl space foundation, and it may require additional waterproofing and insulation measures. This foundation is of two types they are Full basements which match the exact height of the floor above ground, and Daylight Basements which are built and buried partially underground
4. Pile or Pier Foundation
Pile or pier foundations are typically used in areas with poor soil conditions or high water tables. This foundation works well by protecting the house from flood damage, high tides, etc. They consist of large, concrete or steel piles that are driven deep into the ground to support the house. They are generally more expensive to construct than other types of foundations, but they offer a high level of stability and can be used in areas where other types of foundations would not be feasible.
5. Raised Foundation
A raised foundation is similar to a crawl space foundation, but it elevates the entire house above ground level. This type of foundation is typically used in areas with high water tables or flood-prone areas. The raised foundation allows for better ventilation and drainage, which helps to prevent moisture damage. Additionally, it can provide more living space and storage space than a crawl space foundation. However, it can be more expensive to construct than a slab or crawl space foundation, and it may require additional waterproofing and insulation measures.
In conclusion, the choice of foundation type depends on the specific circumstances of the building project. Factors such as the local climate, soil conditions, water table, cement company, construction materials, and budget will all play a role in determining the best option. It is important to consult with a professional and licensed contractor for an accurate assessment and recommendation for your dream home.

If the Foundation is like the basement or cellar of the Oldest House. (Hypothetically)
Then what sector would be the hypothetical attic or roof area?
Assuming we’ve seen such a location in the first place.
(I imagine we’ll see more parts of it in the sequel. Idk.)
Not the executive section I think.
Idk.

i'm never going to do it because it'd be insanely rude, but whenever I hear someone saying something about "at this rate, i'll never be able to buy a house!" i always want to ask them why they'd like to buy a house.
i often get the sense in these conversations that the person i'm talking to is mostly stressed about not hitting a Life Milestone and it's not really a matter of "i want a house because [reason that isn't FOMO”] and not “can't afford one"

For more lore about this thing I posted a year ago, SCP-3288 is used as a bedtime story for mostly younger European SCP-9683 instances as a running "joke" to scare them into not going into places alone without an older nation. Roderich was the only one who knew of their existence up to the modern day where the Foundation found those things in Vienna, most other nations who had heard the rumors of SCP-3288 dismissing it as simple myth or that the species had died out by itself in the Viennese sewers.
Gilbert and Ludwig particularly have a shared fear of SCP-3288 coming after them, Ludwig especially having trouble sleeping in Vienna as a child due to the stories he heard from other nations, his anxiety around it not helped by the fact Gilbert was evasive in answering his questions about the sewers.

Foundation University AU
Brother Constant is getting a masters degree in religious studies. She’s a GRA. Hober doesn’t actually GO to FU, but he somehow manages to sneak in and attend classes, to the extent that the professors think he’s a major student. They’re at a party 🤠
Other AU Stuff under the cut:
Gaal is attending on a full ride after solving the Abraxas Conundrum. She was supposed to be a TA for the famed Hari Seldon, but he got fired after their first class (but why is Raych always lurking around the old, Campbell building? What’s going on in there?)
Day is President of the university. Demerzel is the VP. If you ACTUALLY want stuff done, she’s the one you email
Dawn wants to study photography/technology but Day is making him get a master’s degree in business
Professor Poly is teaching a class on how group think dynamics and sociology affects religion. Hober and Constant meet in that class
Bel is campus head of security
Salvor studies criminal Justice and political science. Everything’s going fine, but there’s something… off about that one math major chick halfway across the lecture hall. Just a feeling, a vibe.

Scary Story Question.
(Please tag or comment where the creepy thing happens and if that matches your regional building standard. Basements, Attics, or Both. Their commonness and whether or not creepy thing happens there. I guess if neither is common in your area, whether it's the crawl space under your house or porch.)

I had karma ruin almost if not all of the people that harmed me or went against me in some sort of way. So I know karma will take care of the insensitive asshole who thought it was okay to take cats and kittens away from their home who did absolutely nothing wrong.
