Remember this concept from a while back? Here's how it ended up looking! :D
Way less elements actually got done, but seeing how far away this is from my drawing comfort zone I'm more than happy with this result ;P

Hey all!
Following on from my first Creator pack 1 which had a bunch of wooden walls, windows and doors, today I finished up Pack 2 for stone walls! Now, this at its surface is a pretty simple pack, only 6 walls and a few nice plain pillars but a) I need to save something for the complete pack and b) There are 8 colours for all of these, PLUS you can totally combine them with the wooden wall colours!
Obsidian stone combined with grey wood? Walnut and terracotta? Pine and green stone? The amount of customization is pretty cool I think :D
This pack is available for free over on patreon!

I wanted to mention that my partner and me are working on opening a Battlemap patreon opened. It'd include a mix of animated battlemaps made by yours truly (specially for boss fights), and assets and maps with a focus on more modern settings, since there isn't much for that currently.
I'm quite excited to show some stuff- My partner has been absolutely slaying it with the assets!
Here's a couple of examples of my animated battlemap/token work~ Let me know if this is something you'd be interested in!

I've tried to run ttrpgs more than a few times over the years - mostly D&D - but always hit a wall when it came to setup. 5e in particular is just so front-loaded it's almost impenetrable - and that's not even considering encounter balance!
But a while back I got into Lancer, and after playing a couple sessions, I absolutely fell in love. So I decided to try a hand at GMing it...

...and I think I've finally hit my stride! I made the battlemaps using asset packs from Interpoint Station, glued together in GIMP, and I'm running the game in Foundry VTT. The hardest parts so far have been setup and actually making the maps - once I got a system down for both, it made creating entire encounters relatively quick and painless. Honestly, I'm really proud of how it's all coming together!

J/A: script investigating the goat and the feed
MW: image library detection/display
MW: upload button
exercise, including a half hour on the new elliptical
prepare battlemap for D&D with little brothers
Escher’s Gap session
so... i bit off more than i could chew with Medallion Works today.
i figure, okay, we don't want the user to have to re-upload their assets every single time they want to set an image for something. maybe they have some generic soldier portraits that get reused for multiple enemies, or they want to make multiple versions of the same character with different stats for different maps. so when you go to upload a sprite for a unit to use, that should go in the custom assets folder, and then when you make the next unit you should be able to just pick that sprite again without opening a file upload dialog.
but what's that look like in terms of UI? what's faster than opening the file picker and picking out the file? hang on, there isn't one. if i just have it open up the OS's file picker in the relevant custom assets folder, that does all the work for me. so i just do that, right?
mmmmno. no i don't just do that. because the renderer process is of course an emulated browser, which by design isn't allowed to know anything about the user's filesystem. i can only do that from the main process, which is Node.js- and for some reason this too is not easy. apparently "open a file select dialog, specifically starting in a known subfolder of the current directory" is an uncommon task that like two hours of googling tangentially related questions does not provide insight into performing, and suggests is in fact not actually possible. what? seriously?
so i guess instead my only option is to... uh, build an entire reusable fully-featured file explorer component on the front end, just to ensure the user opens up the right image asset subfolder depending on which part of the editor they're working in. this seems suboptimal and like too much work, but i did already get display and selection working today, so...
i guess next step is pull it out of the gallery component i built it for and make it a reusable modal component, and then like... refactor the image asset list retrieval code to organize things by subfolders, and then write some dragging code to allow moving assets between folders, and implement actions like copying, pasting, deleting...
ugh. there really should be an easier way to do this than reinventing that particular wheel.

Hello all!
This pack contains a massive 937 Assets! This pack concludes what I would consider a basic wooden selection for making buildings. There are some fancier assets in here, with some wallpaper patterns on the coloured walls, cracked glass windows and brass coloured ends to doors! You will be pleased to know that the DD pack for these is pretty much done and coming tomorrow as well, lots to play with now! :D
PS: Just like with the free version of the creator pack, every new pattern asset has a variant colour and those are;
Birch
Grey
Mahogany
Maple
Oak
Pine
Walnut
This pack is available for $3+ Tier Patrons!
