The enlightened person understands that we are all connected. As such, our energy affects those around us. If we shrink our energy, we give off a message of fear energetically. This will cause other people to feel fear as well. People react to fear with either aggression or pulling inward. So by shrinking your own energy, you do a disservice to yourself and a disservice to others.

On the other hand, if you stand in your power, you give others the message that they can stand in their power as well. You lead by example, sure, but you also send the energetic message that there is no danger. You allow others to be their full selves. This is the action of an enlightened person.

Before you go out into the world today, look in the mirror. Get past any discomfort you might experience by continuing to look until it passes or at least fades into the background. Look into your eyes and see the Divine inside you. Take a deep breath, pause, and exhale fully. Tell yourself, “You are a child of God, a spark of the Divine. You have access to all of the power in the Universe. You are powerful. Go out and show others how to be powerful.” Repeat it until you can feel the meaning behind the words.

Your mission for today, should you choose to accept it, is to show others how to be powerful.

Tag a person who has shown kindness to you. ❤️ ▫️ My lovely friend @keto_left whom I met on IG at the beginning of my keto journey posted that today is National Kindness Day. ▫️ This day has to be practiced every single day! ▫️ Do not stoop to the level of someone who is not being kind! ▫️ Your kindness, your smile, your “hello” can save a person’s life. There have been many cases that I have read about that a person decided to not commit suicide because someone showed them kindness and showed them that they do matter in this life. ▫️ Do not be like everyone else trying to put others down! We need to spread the love! This life is too short to be bitter with others! This life is too crazy to be making it even crazier with our negativity. ▫️ Don’t wait for someone to show kindness to you. YOU BE THE DEFINITION, EXAMPLE, AND TRUE MEANING OF KINDNESS. My chair. My safe chair. We bought this chair for ... well that doesn’t matter. What matters is what it’s turned into. My safe place. . . Everyday I take some time in this chair listening #podcasts and #sermons. I take a time out. It’s a #blessing. . . Today? Well started out good but we had a bad afternoon. Not gonna go into it but it made me think about my chair. I came up and started crying and listened to a sermon. Which of course made me think of the Lord obviously. . . Which made me think about #joy. How right? Welp. When you change your focus on yourself - AND look to God the result? Is not. . . #truejoy. . . True joy happens when you Look to God and realize: He’s got this. That there’s NOTHING you can do to change it EXCEPT? Looking to the Lord. . . Whatever your situation just look to the Lord. You know what's awesome... This girl is getting back into the ICU! The best part about nursing is the ability to choose so many different specialties. I've done cardiac tele, adult ICU, NICU, labor and delivery, pediatric ICU, pediatric (hospital / doctor's office), and telephone triage. I love the adult ICU. I love the adrenaline you get when someone's life is in your hands and you must think on your feet and fast. I love seeing patients on their deathbeds make a full recovery and I love being there for families when they must let a loved one go. I will stay at the pediatric office because I absolutely love everyone that I work with and kids are just too much fun!! I'll be PRN (as needed) and pick up shifts here and there. I will also be PRN in the ICU however I plan on picking up a day a week there. I'm so happy to have made these changes in my life.
