Im back again with another theory lads, one I have wanted to share for a LONG time.

THE LACY THEORY, I hope you all enjoy following me down the rabbit hole. Im going over all the information I collected on the DDVAU server, All information comes from the public chat, the offical playlist and the double hearted comic. That being said Lets begin this:

So lets start off with the big question: What is Lacy? Most likely you wont know of it outside of the discord server, I wanted to wait till I had a bit more evidence and information to present before I showed it out but I think I have enough complied. So!

Lacy is the unoffical name of a ship that will appear in Double Hearted. It was first mentioned in regards to the DDVAU Playlist which has been said that each song will give insight either to the plot, or a character development. The characters involed are: Grian, Scar, Martyn, Jimmy, Tango, Pearl (and Gem now added)

Its described in the songs as a messy situationship. So far Marru has confirmed it has its own playlist with songs in order of a timeline. These songs are:

-Lacy by Olivia Rodrigo

-Footnote by Conan Grey

-The Ballad of Lucy Grey by Rachel Zegler

-It took me by surprise by Maria Mena

-Obsessed by Olivia Rodrigo

With this as well we have this Image (it is noted that Maruu edited this photo to make sure not to give away who the characters are. I was given permission to show as its in the server)

So. Who are these two?

I heavily believe its Grian and Martyn. But why do I jump to that so quickly? Lets start with the drawing first. A while back in one of the earlier livestreams, we got this image:

This takes place in college, and as you can see. Grian has much longer hair there. I was able to take the drawing and line up that the hair strands matched Grian's.

Also, @rebelrenee36 was the one to discover there was actually another image of this drawing from the top half. I wont be posting that one here but we did see enough to conclude that Grian was one of the people in the picture.

But then why did I think it was Martyn in the second image?

Major shout out to @coatree who brought the idea up to me which resulted in me being insane about figuring it out.

I want to take you all to a song called Unravelling- the crane wives. It was one of the rare few songs that got confirmed to a character and we were told it was a Grian song.

In unravelling, the verses talks about different people in Grian's life who had shown him compassion and love. But then theres this:

At the time I needed to make a process of elimiation on who this was, but chapter 20 has given me the answer:

Martyn was the one who left Grian.

Its still a bit farfetched right? Lets take a look at the playlist songs. We know that Oh No by Marina, is a canonical song to Martyn, and I was able to assess that Martyn has a very sort of ride or die risk mentality, and when you compare this to The ballad of Lucy Grey?

Danced for my dinner?

and the gamble line fits along the lines of the Martyn songs the server has managed to find connections to.

When I started this connection, I started to notice some things:

Martyn is STARING at Grian and Big B and I had always wondered why but now I start to wonder...was he jelous?

Then if we take the art from the phones you see in Grians lock screen he has this image:

Martyns hand is on Grian's shoulder.

(also its funny to me that Big B and Martyn share the colour scheme outfit but reversed)

Then we finally got chapter 14, Martyns introduction and what is he like?

He is genuinely concerned for Grian and I think the only time we see urgancy from this man because the second Grian is ok he is chill the entire time, and we KNOW that Martyn hasnt shown back in the captial for such a long time now

Its no surprise Grian was taken back seeing him return:

I want to note two things as well in this chapter that really helped me form this theory, first of all: Martyn's blushing

The second comes from this

THIS MF ABSOLTUELY HAS HISTORY WITH GRIAN.

Its the fact that he knew what Grian wanted without Grian ever having to say a word. These two defintiely have a strong bond, plus the fact when Gem asks if Grian is comfortable with everyone being in the room when Grian discusses his abilities he says yes. Yes to mumbo who is his best friend, yes to Jimmy his cousin and someone he cherishes a lot and Martyn.

He is comfortable not only showing his wings off but also discussing his powers, something that he has kept wraps from EVERYONE.

and then chapter 20....oh my god I wasnt prepared for this.

3. Sparrows father, someone VERY protective of Grian, glares a lot at martyn, which funny enough remember who else gave Martyn a dirty look for being near Grian?

There is defintiely more to this theory, we dont know why they broke up, why Martyn left but Its clear these two have history. I have so many questions that I cant wait to see with upcomming chapters.

You were sitting on his lap.

It started out innocent.

He pulled you there while going over intel,

Letting you lean against his chest.

But now the papers were forgotten.

And his attention?

Fixed on the way his shirt had slipped off your shoulder.

"Tch... you really like tempting me, huh?"

He muttered, voice dropping low against your neck.

You blinked.

"I’m literally just sitting here."

"Exactly,"

He chuckled darkly, trailing a gloved finger along your bare thigh.

"You're doing nothing—and it’s driving me insane."

You squirmed a little, flustered, but he tightened his grip around your waist, breath hot in your ear.

"You have no idea what it does to me when something so... small sits so sweetly on me like this."

Your breath hitched.

"Doffy—"

"Shhh."

He pressed his lips to your ear, whispering each word like a promise.

"You're mine. And when you wear my shirt... when you cling to me like that... it makes me want to tear it off just to feel all of you."

You whined under your breath.

"Then do it."

He froze.

Then—

Oh no—

He grinned.

Wide.

Wicked.

Wanting.

"Careful, baby bird,"

He said with a husky growl.

"Say things like that again, and I won’t stop at the shirt."

His hand slid up your thigh, slow, deliberate—making you shiver.

"Let me remind you exactly why I don’t let anyone else see you like this..."

Your breath hitched when his hand gripped the back of your thigh.

Lifting you just enough to make your balance shift,

His control tightening like a noose around your senses.

"Mmm, you feel that?"

He whispered against your lips, barely brushing them.

"That’s me holding back."

You whimpered.

Soft and shaky—and that was all it took.

His glasses slid down the bridge of his nose as he pinned you gently to the wall,

One hand flat beside your head,

The other still holding your thigh flush to his hip.

"You think I didn’t notice how you acted around the crew today?"

He murmured, voice like velvet wrapping around barbed wire.

"Laughing. Leaning close. Acting like your smile belongs to anyone but me..."

Your lips parted to protest,

But he tilted your chin up—barely touching,

Yet your knees weakened like jelly.

"Tsk... say it. Tell me who owns you."

"Y-You do..."

You whispered, face burning.

"Louder."

"You do, Doffy..."

He grinned—teeth bared like a wolf—and leaned in until your noses almost touched.

"Damn right I do."

His gloved hand dragged upward,

Slipping under the hem of the shirt you stole again that morning.

You gasped,

Body jolting against him.

He chuckled darkly.

"You know what the best part is, little bird?"

His lips finally brushed yours—a ghost of a kiss,

Just enough to make you chase after it.

"You always pretend you’re innocent..."

He growled, voice lower than ever, dangerously close to breaking.

"But you knew what you were doing the moment you walked into my room in only my shirt."

You titled up your head for more.

His breath fanned over your lips—so close,

Too close—but he kept you waiting,

Drinking in the way your lashes fluttered and your thighs squeezed together just from his voice alone.

He tilted his head slightly, smug.

"Look at you..."

His thumb traced your bottom lip—softly, reverently.

"You're trembling, and I haven't even kissed you yet."

You could barely take it anymore.

So you leaned in.

Small, bold, defiant—and kissed him.

And for half a second,

Everything went still.

His fingers froze on your skin.

Then?

He devoured you.

He crushed your body to his,

Hand sliding up your back,

His other gripping your jaw like he was claiming you.

The kiss was hot, deep, and absolutely unrelenting.

You whimpered against his mouth,

And that only made him groan low in his throat,

Tongue sliding over yours as if tasting everything you ever were.

"You’re mine,"

He growled between kisses, voice husky and wrecked.

"Only mine. No one else gets to feel you like this. No one else gets to hear you fall apart in their arms."

He lifted you easily, pinning your back to the wall,

Your legs wrapping instinctively around his waist.

His shirt fell off one of your shoulders,

Exposing the soft skin he immediately sank his teeth into—not enough to hurt, just enough to mark.

"I’ll leave bruises on your neck if it means they stop looking at you the wrong way,"

He murmured darkly, tongue soothing the bite.

"You want to wear my clothes? Good. Then let me make sure they reek of me."

Your head tipped back, lips swollen, breathless.

"Say it again,"

He whispered at your throat.

"Who do you belong to?"

"You, Doffy,"

You gasped.

"I’m yours."

He kissed you again—harder this time,

Like he was sealing a contract with his mouth.

When he finally pulled back, pupils blown, lips smirking and wicked, he held your hips and growled.

"Good girl."

OK! so i just finished reading through the last chapter of TNW (AMAZING work btw) and all of the asks since then and i have so many thoughts

1. seeing everyone’s reaction to clark and dan’s little scene and also the wAY they interacted made me think about an ask from a while back about omega relationships within a pack seeming almost romantic and the way clark and dan interacted made me wonder if they’re also /like that/ but i LOVED their camaraderie and the easy way dan was just accepted into the pack

2. hhhhh pennywaynes…. thomas and martha hovering over this story is so amazingly perfect, ESPECIALLY with the added layer of Pack and martha’s scent helping soothe bruce so long after her death i just love them so much. oh and the idea of alfred being there for both births. just the idea of that makes me emotional for some reason

3. TALIA AND RAS i’m so intrigued by what they know and don’t know at this point. like do they know jason’s definitely NOT doing what they think he’s doing or everything that happened with joker? im just so excited for the sequel (but please take a break! 100k in 5 months is wild to me)

4. the PUPS!! i’m so happy that they’re girl dads, bruce was always meant to be a girl dad and the universe gave him like twenty little carbon copies and i will die on this hill. the idea of jason being bothered by two little alpha twins has me going insane. and Lex stealing the girls and taking them out on bonding trips with dan hhh they’re all gonna be great

As for #1 above, yeah there’s a certain kind of tension between Clark and Dan that feels like a different flavor of the same kind of tension between Bruce and Lex. It’s having someone know so much about you because they have the same instincts and same outlook in many ways. They know you almost as well as you know yourself. And there’s so much respect balanced there. We saw it in this fic (the beginning for Dan) but I think the really interesting part was the quick exchange between Clark and Dan in “and so is love” which shows the zenith of that tension in a way. Dan defers immediately and wholly but it’s not really a submissive action, I guess? It’s scooting over and making room. It’s acknowledging Clark but also knowing he holds power in the exchange too. I’m babbling now, but hopefully someone gets what I’m trying to say!

Pennywaynes and Talia/Ra’s are tied for haunting this narrative I fear. They loom over so much of what happens!

uu!blindfold brothers just interest me so so so much . the way manepear really doesn’t gaf about betraying Zam, but then has to come to the realization that he also betrayed Flame? he must have wanted to take Flame with him too, but realized that there was no legitimate way he could have convinced him.

the first image is really just them laying in the grass during their time at the Zam Empire. Where things were peaceful, where they weren’t constantly having to back up Zam in fights. It’s shown they they often messed around together, not necessarily taking the job seriously at the start- it was fun for the both of them.

but uu!flame becomes so, SO loyal to Zam. it’s why he was so pissed off that this kid who betrayed the thing he stands for, was still wearing their armor afterwards. he didn’t see Mane really as his brother anymore, his cousin. Their dynamic is ultimately different, it’s changed. Flame for sure would have KILLED Mane if it meant that Zam would’ve been satisfied, because when Mane was telling him to “hold on, hold on”, he said “hold onto what?” like. Hello ? Bro ?

Mane had traded his own cousin in favor of his freedom from the Zam Empire. He has gotten his fun, but their bond is forever changed. Sure, Flame was loyal to Mane as well, but Zam would have always topped that. To Mane, Blindfold Brothers is always end game. It’s them against the world, we saw this was LS S6 with Mane’s monologue before he banned himself. In UU, it’s so clear that he still obviously cares about Flame. when Wemmbu had asked about his whereabouts post Empire War, he answers like this:

Mane : “He’s kind of just doing his own thing, i think he’s associated with the Mafia.”

Wemmbu : “Wh-? why??”

Mane : “I-I- I don’t know, I don’t really care enough, to be honest, to go into it. Yeah, I just- I- I don’t really care.”

and yet, when he learns from wemmbu that the diamond player he fought didn’t have a mace, he reacts like this:

Wemmbu : “What was weird though- didn’t you say that Diamond players like, mace as well? Didn’t you say that have mace kits?

Mane : “Yeah, they do.”

Wemmbu : “No- mine wasn’t using a mace.

Mane : “Your diamond player?”

Wemmbu : “Yeah, like he never used a mace once.”

Mane : “Are you one hundred percent sure?”

and soon after, he acts like they have to rush to go back to the snow civilization, and acts like they HAVE to do this. “Wemmbu (3x), wherever you found the Diamond player, we have to go back. Just trust me. Can you stop being annoying- can we just go back?? I’ll explain bro, we just have to go.”

To Mane, he instantly recognizes who that must be- Flame. He knows it in his heart that Flame would obviously be the only Diamond player to not use a mace, because he wants to prove to people that he can beat people without using such trash.

which . is why i drew invis flame holding a sword instead of a mace, and it looks like i forgot to draw a holster for the mace lol . but GODDD dude .

the way mane gets SO angry at wemmbu and egg (mainly wemmbu, cause he doesn’t really care about egg) for making Flame get away.

Mane : “Oh my god, what is wrong with you?? This was my only opportunity!”

It is never said why this fight was insanely important to Mane, or what his only opportunity to do even was, yet it has to do with Flame. Mane right after that complains about how he gives so much to Wemmbu and Egg, without ever getting anything in return.

He already got his freedom. He already has his riches. He’s already got his fun. But he doesn’t have Flame anymore. He isn’t getting anything in return from helping Wemmbu and Egg- more so Wemmbu. Now, without a treehouse to his name (since it was burned down, there is also more salt on the wound when it was turned into XP/Egg’s Civilization), Mane has nothing.

dude i will tweak out if flame’s pov gives us more uu!blindfold brothers ok i will lose it . but this is kinda why I made the drawing ! wanted to touch on uu!bfb cause their dynamic in uu is soooo interesting to me . apologies if like none of this makes sense, ill probably make a longer post about uu!mane sooner or later that goes further in depth :-) . hope u still liked this dump tho lol
