Ben Gurion Canal Project
The Ben Gurion Canal Project[citation needed] is a proposed canal project through the state of Israel. It would connect the Gulf of Aqaba to the Mediterranean Sea.[1][2][better source needed] David Ben Gurion, for whom it would be named, is considered the Founding Father of Israel and was the first Prime Minister of Israel.
The canal would rival the Suez Canal, which runs through Egypt and has had many disturbances in its history, such as the Israeli blockage through the Suez Canal and Straits of Tiran, Closure of the Suez Canal (1956–1957), Closure of the Suez Canal (1967–1975), and the 2021 Suez Canal obstruction.[1] It would be slightly more than 50% longer than the 120.1 mi (193.3 km) Suez Canal, at around 182 mi (292.9 km).[2]
Canada/US' quiet motive for backing Israel's genocide: the Ben Gurion Canal
from November 14, 2023 The United States, Israel, Canada and their allies are fiercely determined not to permit a ceasefire, considering their aligned interests. Their deliberate and joint offensive in the Gaza Strip is a clear indication of a long-term strategic plan, characterized by continuous air and ground attacks. This collaboration, which has tragically led to the loss of over 10 000 Palestinian lives, including a significant number of children, is not just a coincidence. It is the result of a well-coordinated military strategy, driven by shared economic and geopolitical objectives among these nations.

The idea of the erasure, the annihilation, of Palestinians is being clearly articulated by Israeli political and military officials. A US lawyer who has brought a case against the Biden administration for its “failure to prevent genocide”—which is a crime, too—spoke of how rare it is for genocidal intent to be so clearly and publicly articulated. Once they have achieved that goal, perhaps the plan is to have museums showcasing Palestinian culture and handicrafts, restaurants serving ethnic Palestinian food, maybe a Sound and Light show of how lively Old Gaza used to be—in the new Gaza Harbour at the head of the Ben Gurion canal project, which is supposedly being planned to rival the Suez Canal. Allegedly contracts for offshore drilling are already being signed.

The "Left" has been braying about fascism for years and yet, and YET, I know none of them have even skimmed a single sentence of Ur-Fascism by Umberto Eco. If you've read it, you'll immediately start saying "Oh that's Hamas!" at basically every point he made.
Hamas has used some of the most conservative and harsh readings of Islamic theology to create a cult of tradition, they fundamentally reject modernity as an evil plague of the West, they call on Palestinians to "resist" and "struggle" and plan grandiose attacks like 10/7 with no real concrete long term tenable goals that can be gleaned- action for action's sake.
Disagreement is treason, that much is obvious. Children in preschool are taught to fear and hate Jews (fear of difference), and at the same time teach the "middle" classes that Jews are responsible for their economic hardship as if they aren't embezzling tens of millions of dollars from a global charity scam, that Jews are ever seeking to take more land and resources.
Hamas is obsessed with a Plot, that plot being every antisemitic conspiracy theory under the sun. They and their supporters believe all of them, or prime their own brains to stumble down those pipelines at a later date. My personal favorites include the Ben Gurion Canal Project, but they're all sub-plots of the Main Plot; Jews are seeking to supplant us.
Hamas frames themselves and Palestinian society as a whole as both too strong to consider humble negotiated peace, and to justify endless warfare, but also too weak to be responsible for their crimes, too pathetic for Israel to ever be justified in taking military action. It's a constant cycle of hyping themselves up as a group of badass radical warriors and then squealing "no fair" when Israel uses modern weaponry to swat them away.
I'm sure there's also contempt for the weak in Gazan society, but it doesn't immediately jump out at me from Hamas' propaganda machine (this is usually shunted onto Jews anyway, who are seen as effeminate and metropolitan, feeding into that simultaneous strength and weakness thing- Israel is weak and unworthy of life, but too powerful they're the bullies actually).
Hamas literally educates everyone to become a hero, they literally groom young boys into becoming radicalized child soldiers who do not have the frontal cortex development to resist such blatant brainwashing. It's literal child abuse. Palestinian women are pretty obviously seen as chattel who must breed the future army that will finally overwhelm Al-Yahood. There is no aspect of Gazan society that can exist for itself, it must all be part of the Struggle against Israel. And everyone, down to the tiniest baby, must play their part.
The Machismo is so blatant it should be comical. But you don't gang rape Jewish women and humiliate and torture kids if you're secure in your masculinity. I mean, there is something emasculating about being constantly beaten and seeming to have no hope for your political goals... while also constantly telling yourself that you're a proud virile warrior and you and the People have the strength of will to accomplish anything... but then these people you see as subhuman and like kind of queer if you think about it... well they utterly crush you every time. And that is all to say nothing about how Hamas relates to feminism and gay rights. And also how Eco describes the Macho Fascist as using weapons as an ersatz phallic symbol and we see so many teenage boys in Gaza being handed guns and it's like oh... this one section of the essay could take years to unpack when it comes to Hamas.
And Hamas definitely treats the people of Gaza (if not all of Palestine) as having one will and one voice, individuality is not considered. We've seen them and their spineless NGO simps refuse to acknowledge that many many Gazans criticize them, protest against them, hold them equally responsible for their current suffering as Israel. There is no One Singular Leader who claims to represent Gazans/Palestinians but that could change at any moment honestly.
And I don't see any evidence of Newspeak, but I don't know Arabic so I don't know. I do see the Western Leftist allies of Hamas engage in Newspeak like behaviors though. But that brings me to my ultimate point of this long ass ask. The Western Hamas girlies are literally, not only legitimizing a fascist organization even though they purport to hate fascism more than anything. They're starting to reproduce fascist talking points, fascist ways of thinking, in their own activism and their own lives! They're starting to think, talk, and act like fascists when it comes to Israel and Palestine, and to Jews more broadly. They're entirely unaware of this because to recognize Hamas as fascists would be to add a LOT of gray into their black and white worldview. When they appropriate the Palestinian national struggle for their own narcissistic delusions of popular revolution in the West, they're taking actual fascist propaganda produced by a fascist organization and applying it to their own lives.
tl;dr, by every metric laid out by Eco, Hamas are fascists, the people who support them and make apologetics for them are (maybe unknowingly) becoming more like fascists themselves, the next few years and decades are going to thoroughly suck but Am Yisrael Chai.

🇮🇱 … aha!! The Natives are the problem!! It’s TRUE!! — I’d read something about this canal before!! Always — follow the money!! — greed and power!!
By: LaillaB, founder of ‘Reclaim the Narrative’, from LinkedIn …
“Israel’s Mossad represents itself as being among the finest intelligence gatherers and infiltrators in the world.
How did Oct 7th happen?
If Israel were to be targeted by a nation-state, it could be considered a legitimate act of war. However, an attack carried out by those living under a settler colonial, apartheid and military occupation cannot be justified under any legal defense, certainly not in the case of self-defense.
It doesn’t exist!!
“Follow the money.”
Discoveries of natural gas in the Levant Basin are in the range of 122 trillion cubic foot while recoverable oil is estimated at 1.7 billion barrels, according to the study, entitled “The Economic Cost of Occupation for the Palestinian People: The Unrealised Oil and Natural Gas Potential.”
Egypt’s President Gamal Abdel Nasser tore up the European Suez Company concession and transferred the canal’s operation to the state-owned Suez Canal Authority.
Access to the Suez Canal was closed to all international shipping in 1956, following the Tripartite Aggression against Egypt, which involved an alliance between Israel, the UK and France who sought to regain control of the Suez Canal and remove Nasser from power.
When all land trade routes were blocked by Arab states, Israel’s ability to trade with East Africa and Asia, to import oil from the Persian Gulf, was severely hampered.
The prospect for the Ben Gurion Canal envisioned to enhance commercial and energy flows from South Asia to the Persian Gulf and onward to the Mediterranean, ultimately extending its reach into Europe. Netanyahu even went as far as marking this route in red pen at a UN assembly. Did you spot Palestine?
**What does it have to do with 7 Oct?
It just so happens that Gaza is slap bang in the middle of the proposed path, also blessed with a wealth of oil and natural gas. ka-ching! — 💸
Yes, Tel Aviv already has a name for the canal which was first proposed back in the 1960’s. It would be named after the first prime minister of Israel. David Grün from Poland and Executive head of the World Zionist Organisation.
If it goes ahead, this canal will be almost one-third longer than the 193.3 km Suez Canal, at around 292.9 km and an estimated cost of $16 and $76bn.
With Gaza razed, it would enable the colonisers to reduce costs by diverting the canal straight through the middle.
Around 12% of the world’s trade passes through Suez, so you can imagine the queues lining up for a slice of cake.
The only obstacle preventing the Ben Guiron Canal from being revived and rubber-stamped is the presence of … the natives.
**For Netanyahu, this project may earn him forgiveness for the intelligence and military failures on 7 Oct. — #Colonizers …
But, if this is all being done in the name of potential lucrative trade deals then it compounds the political and diplomatic disgrace of the shameless Western governments who are complicit in the genocide.
Unchecked neoliberal capitalism has destroyed world peace. — #FreePalestineColonisers

I’m so sorry to ask you to do this, but you seem to have a relatively big platform on here. If you’re comfortable doing so, please urge your followers to research the Ben Gurion Canal Project. It is a canal that would connect the Red Sea to the Mediterranean and would be a 3rd longer than the Suez Canal, it’s one of the reasons why the US and the rest of the west is so adamant on eradicating Palestinians.
Tumblr media
This is a map of Egypt, Sinai Peninsula, and Palestine. What is happening right now is the mass genocide of the Palestinian people in the Gaza strip and other mass murders in the West Bank. Israel wants to push all the men, women, and children they didn't murder from Gaza into the Sinai Peninsula which is a desert. They want complete control of Gaza, look at how small Gaza is, look at how small. There have been the equivalent of Hiroshima levels of bombs dropped into a place that is barely a few miles long. Palestine is NOT BIG, and Gaza isn't a country it's a part of Palestine, its a city.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I posting these to show the difference, I won't post all the gore and death pictures of the victims, people can look that up for themselves.
Gaza houses millions of Palestinians, many of whom are refuges from the 1948 Nakba, where their homes and lands in the north, south, and center of Palestine were destroyed or stolen by Israeli Settlers. Despite that they have a beautiful city, they built their lives there, through all the wars Israel waged on the Palestinian people they built beauty. This isn't the first time Gaza is being bombed. Gaza has been an open air concentration camp for 16 years, the people inside cannot leave, no one who isn't cleared by the Israeli Military can enter. They have cut off the people of Gaza from the rest of the world for years. No amount of peaceful protest by the people of Palestine asking Israel to take down the wall, to let them have rights, to let them return to their homes, to visit any other part of their country has worked. They murdered the peaceful protestors. This time though they don't want to just make war on Palestine, or drop the annual bombs, they want to eradicate the people of Palestine in Gaza. They are leveling this place to rubble. They have bombed grocery stories, schools, bakeries, universities, churches, mosques, hospitals, cancer centers, more hospitals, they have murdered over 10,000 people in one month, UN workers, Doctors, Journalists, civilians, babies, children, women, men, the elderly, the queers, the Christians, the Muslims, everyone, even the Israeli hostages they keep screaming about, 60 of them have been murdered by Israel themselves. Every form of life they can find they kill. They have cut off all aid. They have cut off all water. They have cut off or destroyed any sources of food. Even before this they have ships in the sea to stop fishermen from fishing too far out. They saw the starving people of Gaza fishing for food in this ongoing massacre, they bombed the boats. This is a genocide. They have been very open about how this is a genocide, there is no confusion here this is the deliberate genocide of the Palestinians. Israel has the support of America. Israel and America will not do a ceasefire. This is very deliberate. Why? The land is so small, they already have almost all of the other land, so why? Besides hating all Palestinians, besides that, why?
Gaza has oil/gas, the resource belongs to the Palestinian people. Israel has already made contracts for companies to come mine the resources. They don't have that right. It belongs to Gaza. Palestine has been slowly suffocating under the Israeli Occupation for 75 years, no human rights, no way for the economy to make money, no self determination, olive trees are burned, farmers land have been stolen, Israel pushes their own products for sale, everything is controlled by Israel. This resource would have brought in money to the Palestinian Economy, it could have lead to more jobs for people. They wouldn't have to rely on trying to get work visas to work in the occupied territories.
But the biggest reason? The Ben Gurion Canal Project.
We all know the Suez Canal, how could anyone on tumblr forget the Ever Given and the Suez Canal?
Tumblr media
The Suez Canal brings in over 9 million dollars yearly to Egypt. Egypt controls the canal. Western Powers, America, UK, etc. don't like that. Israel wants to cut Palestine, they want to tear into its earth, they want to rip a scar down Palestine to make Ben Gurion Canal. If they did this, then they would control the canal, and all those millions of dollars would go right back to Israel and America and their allies. All that money made from the blood of innocent people. Built on the destruction of stolen land. Paid for with the lives of Palestinians. This is why Israel is will not stop murdering people. This is why America gave them the green light to murder as much people as they want. This is why they do not care about the history, bombed old historical buildings like the 3rd oldest church in the history of the world. This is why they do not care about a single Palestinian life.
It's not about religion, it's not about "arab terrorism", it's not about any of the lies that they tell. This is about leveling Gaza to dust so they can build their canal and bring more death and more control over neighboring countries and controlling resources in the middle east.
If you want to learn more about Palestine then follow @palipunk who has great resources, there are lots of books, and information out there just ready to teach people about who we are and why we fight so hard to survive. We deserve to live free on our land. Don't just listen to lies the Western and Israeli media tells everyone, do your own research and share if you all can.
Palestine is small. It's a country that wants to be free, from the British, from America, from Israel. Palestine has been fighting for so long to be free, all the people want is to live on their land, to grow their olive trees, to fish in the sea, to create, to love, to be able to visit each other without walls or soldiers controlling us, to pray, to share in humanity, to be respected and seen as humans. Palestine is old and small and beautiful. Palestine is made up of so many beautiful people and religions, we have such a rich culture and history, we love to sing, we love to dance, and write poetry, and tell stories, and cook, we love to learn, did you know we have the highest literacy rate per population? We love each other, we love the world. Palestine is our hearts, they are killing our hearts.

I haven't rly seen a lot of ppl on here talk about the Ben Gurion Canal project + its relevance to what's going on in Palestine/Israel rn so I wrote something up abt it
The Ben Gurion Canal project is a proposed canal through occupied Palestine, named after Israel's first Prime Minister. It would connect the Red Sea (the Gulf of Aqaba, more specifically) to the Mediterranean Sea. Currently, the only canal connecting the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea is the Suez Canal.
Without the Suez Canal, trade ships would have to circle around the entirety of Africa, which is expensive and inefficient. The proposed Ben Gurion Canal would rival the Suez Canal that runs through Egypt. As of the financial year June 30, 2023, Egypt grossed over 9 billion dollars USD annually from the Suez Canal alone.
Historically, the canal was supposed to be accessible to all nations however after the Nakba (mass displacement and massacre of Palestinians in 1948) the Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser shut down the canal and shortly thereafter strategically nationalized the canal so the UK, US, France, etc. no longer held shares and profited off the commissary companies that were running Suez Canal operations. Although the canal is currently accessible due to a Peace Treaty (Camp David 1978), the Suez Canal has long been a source of tension.
The proposed Ben Gurion Canal project currently runs north of Gaza, however the current proposal requires a detour that could be made significantly more efficient if Israel gains control over the Gaza Strip, specifically the northern portion. Do you think it's a coincidence that the Israeli regime is bombing the northern Gaza strip more heavily than the south? I don't, and it's precisely why I think talking about this proposed canal is important - it puts into context the strategic measures Israel is implementing to carry out this genocide.
The Ben Gurion Canal project has many advantages over the Suez Canal - because of its rocky terrain, it can be built larger and deeper than the Suez Canal and would require significantly less maintenance. The larger size of the Ben Gurion canal would also mean that the US could deploy larger modern warships, which is currently impossible as the Suez Canal is too narrow. The Ben Gurion Canal would be projected to gross around 6 billion USD annually, which is significant from both a financial + regional control standpoint.
So ya, while the canal is not the only reason for the current war, thousands of Palestinian lives are being martyred so the West can gain military and financial control in the Middle East + build this canal as efficiently as possible.

Put this on tiktok but it's likely going to get removed:
Tumblr media
AIPAC is behind most of the pro-Irsael to the point of cutting $14 billion from our IRS budget to help fund their military type craziness. Most US politicians are in their pocket and they are also the ones pushing legislation to make criticizing the Israel government illegal in the US and deporting all Palestinians in the US and just a shit ton of other anti-Arabic foreign policy.
Also a reminder that Netanyahu (Israeli Prime Minister, currently under investigation by the International Criminal Court for war crimes from before and after the continued siege of Gaza started) and his extremist administration are pushing for "Greater Israel" which would involve conquering Jordan, Lebanon, parts of Iraq, Syria, and Saudi Arabia. The proposed map looks like this:
Tumblr media
There are many ways American imperialism and Evangelical Zionism would benefit from this map. It gives an American ally control of natural gas reserves off the coast of Gaza, it gives access to build the Ben Gurion Canal and the ability to construct an oil pipeline from Saudi Arabia into Europe and dominate the energy sector. It also allows America to funnel its Jewish population out of America without expressly deporting them. There is literally so much wrong with this.
But Americans can protest AIPAC directly and attempt to sever the connection between this lobbying group and our politicians. First by checking if our reps have already accepted AIPAC money (I recommend using opensecrets.org but googling usually works just as well), contacting them, and telling them that if they continue to accept AIPAC and AIPAC affiliate donations you will volunteer for thier opposition in the coming election. Then try to find a candidate running who doesn't accept AIPAC money and volunteer or donate for their campaign. Also, you don't have to be a politician's constituent to contact them. This means you can spam-fax their office or mail them physical form letters demanding action against Israel's genocide. These physical documents must be handled by actual staff and preserved so this is very disruptive for them.
AIPAC also has a website with a contact form and phone number you can call.
Tumblr media
I would recommend filling the name and address fields with junk information (nothing too obvious for them to filter out) and then type whatever you would like to say in the actual message part.
And it wasn't hard for me to find a mailing address for them either.
Tumblr media
However it is unlikely this is the only office they have, or that office even has many workers in it. Also if I can successfully convince people to pester them like we did to all those republican rallies in 2020, they can ask Google to remove that info and then remove their contact info from their website.
If we can disrupt AIPAC we can do a lot more good, not just for Palestine, but for Israel and other American backed genocides like in Congo and Sudan.
Please re-blog this, don't just like and move on.
