⪩⪨How to deal with⪩⪨
Duck Syndrome
What is Duck Syndrome ?
It is when one pretends they look like they have it together but underneath they're struggling and distressed with balancing academics or work, social expectations and responsibilities.
How do I know if I'm struggling with one?
• You often compares yourself with others
• You feel inferior to others
• You fear criticism and failure
• You see your progress as irrelevant
• You feel like a failure and unable to keep up.
How to deal and cope with it?
• Set realistic and reasonable expectations towards yourself
• When you start to compare yourself to others
Remember people often filter what they show in public. They only choose to show the good moments.
People only show the end result. Remember they also struggled and made efforts to get where they are now.
• Have a good support system and practice being vocal of your difficulties.
• Understand you have limits and can't do everything.
• Set boundaries and learn how to say no.
• Be confident in sharing unfiltered moments.
• Make time for self-care and do mental health check-ins.
What can I do to help others who are struggling?
• Be a support system to them. Remind them it's okay to not be okay.
• Normalize and show unfiltered moments in your life.
• Help them remove the filter they put onto others.
• Let them see their progress and their own strength

Hey there, beauty squad! Let's talk about something real: the filter frenzy. According to a recent Pew Research Center, over 80% of teens in the US use social media, and a significant portion use filters to "enhance" their appearance in photos and videos. We get it – wanting to look your best is natural. But here at Mason Rx Pharmacy, we believe true beauty radiates from within.
Why Ditch the Filters?
Filters are fun, but they can create unrealistic beauty standards. Studies show constant exposure to filtered images can lead to lower self-esteem: and a distorted perception of beauty. Wouldn't you rather rock your natural glow with confidence? ♀
Mason Rx: Your Partner in Inner & Outer Beauty
At Mason Rx, we believe beauty starts from within. That's why we offer a massive selection of over 450+ health and beauty supplements designed to help you achieve a radiant complexion, healthy hair, and strong nails – all naturally!
Here are some Mason Rx must-haves to ditch the filters and embrace your natural beauty:

This might be a super niche problem, but if anyone else has relatives that love to gift a TON of beauty and personal care items for Christmas (like lipstick gift sets, those little lotion and soap baskets, perfume sets etc.) that you never use and just sit there….staring at you and slowly expiring…..until you get guilty and toss it. There are places that will accept donations of (obviously new and unopened) cosmetic items!
Women’s shelters will often ask for makeup items, a local “buy nothing” group is also a great option, and I know when I worked at a Boys & Girls Club we kept a huge stash of donated personal care items (lotion, deodorant, sunscreen, chapstick, toothpaste etc.) on hand for kids or community members who needed them.
As always, people in need are not a guilt-free landfill alternative. These are just a few places I’ve donated the excess Burt’s Bees gift sets and cuticle oil samplers I’ve gotten over the years but please look into your local organizations and what they specifically say they need and want!!
