The problem with SVSSS Omegaverse AUs is if I want to keep it close to canon I have to ignore the fact that in any Omegaverse version Tianlang-jun was definitely the one to birth Binghe

Because I can't imagine an Omegaverse SVSSS where Su Xiyan isn't an Alpha who knocked up Tianlang-jun

Tbh if I was to write Omegaverse SVSSS Demon Omegas would be top of the food chain in the demon realm and omega/omega relationships are common amoungst top demons. Betas are second rank as they are useful for not losing their heads. Alpha's can be very powerful and respected especially when paired with a powerful omega, but most alphas are an oppressed minority and kept as pets by omegas.

Shen Qingqiu is an omega because of Shen Jiu angst but a byproduct of Without a Cure is it is basically a suppressant and Shen Yuan spends most of his time as Shen Qingqiu as basically a beta which helps him miss cues

Everyone thinks Shang Qinghua is a beta or they know he's an alpha but forget it because he acts more like a Beta. The only one who is always hyper aware he's an Alpha at all times is Mobei

Liu Qingge is a beta. This surprises most people but I argue that's why he's socially clueless

Yue Qingyuan is presented as an alpha because his Shizun wanted him to be but he actually is/was an omega though no one knows. Lots of potential for angst

Another A/B/O BingLiuShen idea — Social claiming

You know how in typical A/B/O or just A/O, there's the whole claiming aspect — typically betwen Alphas and Omegas, with Omegas being claimed by being bit in the juncture betwen their necks and shoulders.

My brain engeneered a way that applies to Betas but it's used differently — basically, since betas are the majority in most fics (or atleast 50% to 70% of the population) there had to be some connection in their biology to Alphas and Omegas since they're meant to be in the in-between.

Basically, socially claiming a Beta is a method to clime society or help you maintain power — an Alpha or Omega who's socially claimed a cackle of skilled and well-rounded Betas will have an easy time establish themselves or even becoming powerful.

Cultivators and Demon's would use this in different ways obviously — and it would always be tied to a bite-mark on the nape of the Beta, which actually takes time to set (unless you dual cultivate because Airplane) and CAN actually rot away if the bond is left unattended.

Which could leads to so many scenarios.

Beta!LQG would be a treasure to be claimed, even better if he was a late bloomer (which ties into the Qi-diviation that kills him in PIDW in thus AU) which means Shen Qingqiu could pull a fast one; because having Liu Qingge as a beta would help with protecting him (at first) and has benefits for when he's going into heat (pre-Abyss)

Or, if Liu Qingge is really a late bloomer, and I mean really, and presents after BingQiu are together — I don't think they'd appreciate the amount of people wanting to take a bite out of the beta.

A/n: okay quick drabble and I'm not a HUGE fan of ABO [like if I wrote an ABO fix I would practically change the entire dynamic to the point where it's just shifter/fic labelled ABo yknow?]

But I just thought of something.

So Its the skinner scene, where Shen Qingqiu climbs up the stairs and see's Luo Binghe for the first time.

But in this world, Shen Yuan has NO clue that Shen Qingqiu was an omega! In his stories he was always labelled as a posturing Alpha etc.

Even better if SY world was like ours and HAD no dynamics so he keeps forgetting procedure and the mountain basically let it slide because he was being really cute?

But outside the sect it could be considered rude, but they just think eh thats just SQQ the rude bitch.

But SY never cared about the dynamics before, or the heats, or anything like that or cared.

Until this moment.

When he lost Binghe was may have been a bit down [his maritial siblings thought he could die of heartbreak, an omega who lost a pup esp someone as close as Binghe they REALLY worried for his health and never left him alone!]

So now as Shen Qingqiu saw Binghe?

His brain, and logical side knew Binghe was dangerous, he would come back eventually, it was too soon, and he should run.

His body however had other plans and decided to have a complete breakdown, looking back he would be embarrsed.

But his scent was overhwelming in it's grief, to the point where even the sneering disciples faltered, looking almost shoked and worried for the Peak Lord even Gongyi Xiao gasped,

"Master Shen-"

His danger senses were on mute, all that mattered was that Binghe was here, and Shen Qingqius body moved on its own. He had no idea he would need to touch Binghe, to scent him, to know he was okay for a moment- when Shen Qingqiu stabbed him he worried he made things difficult for Binghe.

Or worse, if Binghe wouldn't return or want to see him again-

it didn't matter as he was suddenly clinging to Binghe and crying over and over again.

He had no idea what he was saying but the system didn't berate him so he let it slide, meanwhile Luo Binghe couldn't breathe or move.

He never predicted this outcome, he hesitently touched Shen Qingqius arms and felt the other latch on further, apologies spilling from his Shizuns lips and seemed as if he may even Qi deviate if he didn't calm down soon!

Luo Binghe hummed, holding him close and stroking his back while releasing his own pheromones to help soothe his Shizun, the Huan Hua delegation must have left them alone except for Gongyi Xiao, a beta who stood guard over the two.

Or in case Binghe took advantage of an omega in this state, his lip curled.

"Shizun, this one is alive, all is well." He spoke, all of his plans turned to dust. He wanted to prove himself, that being a heavenly demon wasn't all he was. He wanted to prove he was a reliable cultivator and was worthy of his Shizun and yet this proved that he did regret it!

When Luo Binghe took Shen Qingqiu back to the Inn with his Marital uncles, Shen Qingqiu was mortified by what transpired, even when both Liu Qingge and Mu Qingfang confirmed what Shen Qingqiu was doing in his abscence.

Luo Binghe could feel his chest overflow with emotions as he looked at his Shizun in wonder. It was too good to be true!

And let his own excitment, Xin Mo and being so close to Shen Qingqiu who even after his qi deviation hadn't learned to curb his own scent because he was never taught how to, Luo Binghe clutched his hand.

"Shizun, let me court you! This Binghe wants to come home to the bamboo house and cook you food and wake up beside you everyday!"

Shen Qingqiu blinked...what!?

"Please Shizun, consider this unworthy disciple-"

He barely finished before Liu Qingge tacklet him through the door out into the street where a brawl began.

Beta!Liu Qingge

Like, My brain just keeps replaying this idea:

Airplane added Omegaverse into his stallion novel because of an online friend he had, called 'Asexual-Menace' (Don't ask about the naming convention), who just kept brainrotting A/B/O.

But like, they had an extra focuse oj the socialization, how each dynamic would work, what are their differences and even fleshed out Betas as a subgender. Which, Airplane indulged in and eventually, asked to add their friends ideas into his stallion novel.

'Ace' would often beta read any of his begging drafts, encourage him and even help him with world building — which is why the Omegaverse became a part of PIDW

Though eventually, between Ace... no longer being around and Airplane needing to pay rent, a lot of things were left ambiguous, implied, personal information or small scenarios he wrote to get out of creative ruts at like 1 am.

What came as a consequence, is that all that background information becomes very tangible situations once he transmigrates as Shang Qinghua.

Luckily for him, SQH is a Beta, and thus, he doesn't need to deal with the A/O aspect.

Now he gets to deal with the Beta-aspects his friend had written, which are both good and horrible:

Pros: Great sense of smell, naturally boosted stamina, faint scents that don't stick easily/harder to track, No heats/ruts, rarely goes feral, levelheadedness is easier to maintain, pack-driven which means he can blend into crowds if need be.

Cons: Being the most responsible of subgenders, ferality is a dangerous thing for betas and usually leads to qi-diviations in Beta cultivators, need to run pack-mating cycles, needs to care for Alphas/Omegas/Pups equally, instinctual inclination to battle other betas to release stress

So, he's in a meh state, but overall — prefers to be a Beta.

Though, there was just one plot line he never thought he'd get to see through — but thanks to our resident Cucumber-bro, SY saved Liu Qingge's life and let's the plot line unfold.

You see, Liu Qingge became a peak lord without presenting — he's a late bloomer. His Qi-diviation was actually related to this fact, for obvious reasons; as not presenting makes it so bottlenecks are harder to break.

Though thanks to him being Alive, he eventually does present and as a Beta.

All of his readers assumed LQG is an Alpha and a lot of in-world characters did too — but that was never the case. LQG was meant to be a sort of mentorly-rival/Mid-Boss for LBG to learn/fight with. Him being a Beta was important to that.

Because Betas don't have strong scents, meaning not catching it in time or taking seconds too long to follow it, ends with it disappearing.

In Airplane's drafts, LBG would face off against a semi-recently presented LQG. A LQG who now has the natural boosts of being a Beta, alongside having had several major breakthroughs that were being held back due to him still being a 'pup' in that regard.

LBG would be arrogant, then be knocked down a peg by the War God himself — outlasting expectations and disappearing in tight spaces like corridors because his scent is so faint, LBG can't catch it for more than seconds — while LBG's scent is overwhelming, meaning LQG has the natural advantage. A play of nature/instincts + wisdown/strategy between the Alpha Demon lord and the Beta War God.

There's another layer to this, being a subversion of expectations — LQG had a presence; the way he stood, his tone and cadence, the way he carried himself in and out of battle. It makes sense, when you take stereotypes into consideration that he'd be an Alpha — but thats exactly why 'Ace' argued against it. Why they instead brought the idea of a Beta being the war god and how that would give a better showcase of how A/B/O and the subgenders can manifest the same instincts in different ways.

The readers, just like the characters in the drafts, are meant to be fooled by expectations then be blind sided.

Obviously, that was scrapped for the original novel but now, SQH gets to witness such a thing — though Obviously different to how he imagined it.

Since the Original SQH was the eldest beta amongst them, that means HE has to be the one to help LQG through those first stages of adapting to the changes in your body, to this new hypersensitivity, to the way your qi and meridians slowly change to adapt and the new instincts that come with being a Beta.

LQG has this earthy scent, like fresh soil, mixed in with some scent oil — something remenicent of the oil they use to clean/polish their swords.

Airplane would be so happy to see the plot line him and 'Ace' made come into fruition in some capacity.

Then it would spiral into something he didn't expect, because BingLiuShen + 'Compatible scents'

He was cursing at himself and the 'compatible scent' bs he had made for some of the wife-plots to work.

Summary: Shen Yuan, the biggest anti-fan of this year's most popular stallion novel, Proud Immortal Demon Way!

The novel that Shen Yuan would happily curse until his last breath for being cliche, having an ungodly amount of horny fan service that didn't pertain to any plot, not that there truly was a plot, to begin with in this trash novel! If the ridiculous amount of fan service wasn't enough, it had the legitimacy of a grade school essay! It was longer than the Yangtze River, it had so many plot holes, far too many unfinished backstories and a ridiculous amount of subplots that's only purpose was to serve as sixty chapters of papapa to an overpowered protagonist whose harem reached triple digits! And when he says that he would happily curse it until his last breath, he means it.

"A-Yuan, what are you doing sleeping right now?" Wait, where is he? "Why are you ignoring your Gege? Answer me!" Whose his Gege!?!

Shen Yuan realizes that the plot holes in PIDW really are going to be the actual death of him, but all he has to do is survive in this new world and keep his Gege and Qi-ge safe and happy with him!

But most importantly, stay as far away from the scum villain and Luo Binghe as possible! Which turns out to be his biggest struggles of all!

Liu Qingge's face looks disgruntled as he stands at the door, knocking impatiently. He doesn't know why he's in such a rush, because as soon as he finishes this drop-off, there'll surely be another. At least he was able to get permission to complete deliveries flying by sword instead of driving, but it doesn't particularly outweigh the injustices of the job as a whole. "Delivery. For you," he says at the door as soon as it's even cracked open, thrusting out his hand that holds a tied-up plastic bag full of steaming food cartons.

Chapter 27 is coming along! I'm doing my best not to get burned out while still making progress on things, so please be a bit patient with me! In any case, here's a quick excerpt (pre-beta) to peak your interest.

After his showing in Tianlang-Jun and Su Xiyan’s court, Shen Qingqiu knew he couldn’t wait to make several announcements to the cultivation world about his position. Namely, he needed to make some statements about his long association with Tianlang-Jun before rumor could twist it wildly.

Then again, he didn't know how fiction could really become stranger than the truth at this point. He didn’t particularly want to find out, though.

He arrived at the scheduled monthly Peak Lord meeting. Everyone (with the exception of the still honeymooning Shang Qinghua) was already waiting for him, no doubt wondering where the fuck their Sect Leader had disappeared to for two and a half weeks. Shen Qingqiu didn’t bother setting an agenda for this one; if he was going to be booted from the Sect at any point, this was the time it was going to happen. 

Because he was going to confess everything, and they would be fools to hold onto him as their Sect Leader in his opinion. His only asks would be to ensure that Ning Yingying became the next generation’s Sect Leader, he would have time to say goodbye to his disciples on Qing Jing Peak, and that Yue Qingyuan be given over into the imperial family’s custody to punish as they pleased. He had ensured that his paperwork was in order, with a transition memo already outlined for whoever would replace him as acting Sect Leader (likely Qi Qingqi).

The room was silent upon his entry, no doubt because Luo Binghe was at his side rather than Zhuzhi-Lang. Shen Qingqiu could have heard a pin drop in the room as he took his seat, Binghe sitting in Zhuzhi-Lang’s usual resting place during the meetings at his side. While Shen Qingqiu was in his usual robes, Luo Binghe remained in his imperial attire, demon mark bright and proud on his forehead.

He looked out over the room, all but his cabinet members staring at him in disbelief. He knew Shang Qinghua had communicated his and Binghe’s decision to make a public appearance together a little over a week ago to Qi Qingqi and Liu Qingge and they were not exactly pleased with him. He had also told Mu Qingfang as a courtesy and the doctor was the only one who seemed more tired than confused or irritated.

Shen Qingqiu idly wondered when Mu Qingfang last took a vacation.

He pushed the thought to the back of his mind for now, wanting to get this over with. Shen Qingqiu closed his fan with a snap and said, “This master requests everyone except for the Peak Lords and Tianxuan-Jun leave the room.”

The attendants and disciples standing at the room’s edges quickly bowed and made their way out, shutting the door behind them. Wei Qingwei said, “I suppose Sect Leader Shen has an explanation for what has been happening, then?”

He regarded the man coolly. “Yes. And, before we begin, I would like you to be aware I have the paperwork drawn up to resign as Sect Leader and Peak Lord, transferring power to necessary individuals at the ready. It is signed. All it needs to be valid are the signature of every Peak Lord present, and my current seal of office.”

“What. The fuck,” Qi Qingqi said, face turning red as she stepped towards him. “Shen Qingqiu, this is too much!”

“It’s simply a precaution, Peak Lord Qi. I know well what I have done and am prepared to take responsibility for my actions. I am unrepentant as they allowed me to get to this point, to prevent what I needed and change what I wanted to from the other future. And that may be too much for you all to tolerate.”

“Sect Leader Shen has been consistent in his vocalization that he never wished to have his office, and has offered us as Peak Lords the chance to force his resignation multiple times before. This master has grown tired of the back and forth,” Zhao Qingchen said coldly, but there was hurt in her voice. “This master suggests that Sect Leader Shen reveal all he has to reveal today. If we as a collective agree to have him remain as Sect Leader, then Sect Leader Shen shall never present this choice to us again. Cang Qiong Sect cannot have a leader that is constantly seeking to escape it, so let today finally decide this matter.”

“Well said, shimei,” Qi Qingqi said.

“Agreed,” Liu Qingge growled, glowering at Shen Qingqiu in a way that made him turn away.

“Yes,” Wei Qingwei echoed.

Everyone agreed, except for Shen Qingqiu. He was confident about being kicked out, but the issue was persuading Liu Qingge and Qi Qingqi to let him go. Previous talks with them on the matter had proven frustrating, but he hoped that the wave of support for him leaving would be persuasive to them. Without Shang Qinghua there and Mu Qingfang likely to agree with whatever would make Shen Qingqiu happiest, he was confident the rest of the room would vote in his favor.

“...very well.” Shen Qingqiu finally said. Binghe was motionless by his side, and he figured he was a good place to start. “If you would all sit down, I will begin by explaining Tianxuan-Jun.”

“He won’t explain himself?” Song Qingyue asked, staring at Luo Binghe with some apprehension, most especially when his eyes flicked to the sword at his side.

Shen Qingqiu motioned and Binghe said, “Sect Leader Shen is Prince Consort in my parents’ court. I simply act as his bodyguard in the place of my cousin here. I will not speak without his leave to do so.”

“Bodyguard. From us,” Liu Qingge said, eyebrows dropping into a scowl. 

“From anything that seeks to harm him.”

“Okay, I cannot be the only person who recognizes him!” Wei Qingwei said like he couldn’t hold it in anymore. “Shen Qingqiu, is the demon sitting next to you not your former disciple?!”

“Of course he is,” he answered, tightly. “Crown Prince Tianxuan-Jun, formerly known by the name Luo Binghe, was a disciple of Qing Jing Peak. I did insist he was only missing.”

Peak Lords stared at him like he had lost his mind. Mu Qingfang pulled a flask out of his sleeve and tipped some of the liquid into his tea cup discreetly.
