Mifune is so funny like hes a guy probably in his late 20s or early 30s. he's got an adopted daughter, he just generally likes kids and wants to keep em safe and honestly shoulda just gone into teaching or somthin but decided on being a samurai. And then hes doing a job cus hes got a kid to protect/care for and then this annoying ass 13 yr old comes outta nowhere demanding to fight and will not stop trying to fight him. So poor mifune now has a 13 yr old rival that he DID NOT ASK FOR!!!

The dtk and black star dynamic never fails to be funny because you have the actual literal death god who (for the most part) just treats this quality like a benign trait the same way you’d treat having brown eyes or being tall & then you have the freak who is like I Am Going To Surpass God Through Sheer Force Of Will. I Am The Best And Most Special Guy Ever. & dtk has no issues with this he in fact supports it he’s like yayyy black star you can do it :) One Day You’ll Make It! and then they go try and beat the shit out of each other for funsies.

I really like them!! Theres not a lot of them in the novels but they still make such a great impression. I like Yin Yu, in particular. Really have a fave character type huh
