Utterly love and adore cute sleepy submas hcs...my fave...

I always think of Emmet as being an early bird. He can all but jump out of bed the moment he opens his eyes! Sometimes he even goes for a morning run before Ingo ever wakes up! And after he gets back, he feeds all their pokemon breakfast, then cooks himself and Ingo breakfast, packs their lunches, then goes and lures his sleepy bitch diseased twin brother out of bed with coffee and kisses. ♡

Even if it's not a work day, Emmet still gets Ingo up, because they both highly value routine and they like to get up/go to bed at the same times everyday.

But if it IS a work day, then Emmet will watch Ingo stumble around with his eyes barely open while he gets ready for work. He likes to wait and let Ingo try to button his own shirt and tie his own tie before Emmet inevitably steps in and fixes them for him, because sleepy Ingo is just so cute. He gets so many kisses in the mornings! He's technically awake, but not fully alert until they're already partway to Gear Station haha.

And then Ingo is a night owl, he's much more alert and productive in the evenings! Emmet starts to finally wear down towards the end of their shift, so on the way back, he usually nods off leaning against Ingo's shoulder (Emmet is allowed to sleep on public transport, but Ingo is not, because Ingo snores like an overclocked chainsaw HSKSJSN). Ingo sneaks an arm around him with the excuse that he's making sure Emmet doesn't accidentally fall into another passenger. Totally normal. Absolutely nothing of note going on there. Moving along.

When they get home, Emmet gets his hat, coat, and shoes off and then promptly passes out on the couch while Ingo sets about feeding their whole team dinner haha. And then he cooks dinner for the two of them, then rouses Emmet from his nap to help him undo his tie and unbutton his shirt and put him in comfy clothes. Emmet bounces back pretty quickly after just a short cat nap, so they're both awake enough to eat dinner and then do the day's dishes together. ♡

Emmet's still not much of a night owl though, so he starts fading fast again as soon as they sit on the couch to unwind together. Ingo eventually carries him to bed (Emmet isn't even actually asleep yet, Ingo is just fucking whipped smxjzmkskd) and tucks him in and everything. Ingo won't be able to fall asleep any time soon, but he still crawls into bed with Emmet and sits up against the headboard while he reads or does some paperwork by lamplight. He has one of those nice sitting pillows and everything.

Emmet likes to nuzzle up to him and he'll lay there with his forehead pressed to Ingo's hip, one hand curled under his thigh, listening to Ingo's voice as he reads to him out loud and pets his hair until he falls asleep to it. It's the most comfortable and content he's ever been. ♡♡♡

for the second bit, i like a lot of aus~ i enjoy whenever people work off of the emmet is reshiram/ingo is zekrom fantheory, i really enjoy @glassesblu's oingo/yemmet and oemmet/yingo aus, along with the ones they have going with @belltrigger -- especially bot emmet, changeling ingo, and unicorn emmet! i also like @unovanhunny's selkie au cus... i like selkie aus x'DDD

as for my own? i like my main comics of emmet aging alongside ingo while they're separated and then showing up to get his brother back lol, and of course i'm really into hades and persephone au atm

there are plenty others i enjoy, but those are some off the top of my head~

as for their children in hades and persephone au, here's where i get very very wacky with mythology and do some stuff my fellow greek myth nerds would stone me for, so under the cut i go ahaha

okay so emmet and ingo end up having...... a lot of kids. like, a lot a lot. there was a big shortage on gods and goddesses but that has been Taken Care Of because emmet and ingo cannot stop going at it

all of their kids mainly work out of the underworld -- even the ones that end up being olympians -- and they're collectively considered equivalent to depot agents when they're not fulfilling major godly duties

their oldest daughter is aphrodite -- she hardcore ships her parents and has no chill

their oldest son is hypnos -- he's technically in charge of organizing all the agents' duties and is very exhausted all the time

occasionally emmet will be the one to get pregnant to spice things up and it usually ends one of three ways: the kid is a super op god, it's a miscarriage, or the kid is born mortal and dies soon after -- it's always traumatizing in the case of the last two and neither of them ever learn

that being said zagreus is a strange mix of op god but who also died and kinda is sickly (he inherited emmet's allergy to ambrosia) -- he's emmet's lil guy even though they like to razz each other

nyx is also one of emmet's good pregnancies and she's a huge daddy's girl

all of them are close with ingo regardless though, ingo loves his kids and spoils them all because he can't bear to deny them anything

the furies are also some of emmet's and they're... strange lol

apollo takes after his parents and is into his twin artemis; artemis doesn't know and apollo drowns his sorrows in this by being a bit of a whore

athena and aries are kismesis -- if you know you know

really there's just.... so much incest going on....... but it's greek mythology so you just have to expect that all the more than any normal submas au

also yes i know NONE of these save for zagreus are considered hades and persephone's kids but this is my au and i get to turn ingo into everyone's mom if i want to x'D

I do think they each have their preference of sweets - Though I like the idea of Ingo being the one to pursue making sweets so that they may have them :) (baking!) He’s pretty good at different cookies, moist cakes, and little pastries with fillings in them :)!

I do feel like they eat cakes together though. They get two different flavors and they takes bite out of each of them.

I saw someone else mention Emmet liking hard candies - and i really agree tbh. I really like hard candies XD And I feel like they’re generally an interesting stim as well. I can see Emmet crunching them, moving it around his mouth, feeling the texture of the candy, buying different flavors but having a lot of his favorite flavor. I do think he has to keep conscious about eating them though XD If he could he would just always be eating a hard candy - but that’s hardly good for your teeth now innit!

I am holding this art of Ingo needing reading glasses in Hisui oh so gently in my cupped hands, it makes my heart so soft.

Because like I can just imagine that with Ingo and Emmet, after Emmet Falls and they reunite in Hisui. Ingo already needs reading glasses by then, so any time he needs to read small print, he passes it off to Emmet (before he realizes just how bad his sight has gotten though, Ingo will sit there squinting at something very hard...then hold it out at arm's length, then squint at it again, until Emmet's finally just like "Ingo-niisan oh my god just give it here" ksozjsksk).

As is often the case with these two, though, Emmet is eventually also farsighted, to the point that he and Ingo match. So Ingo will try to read something, pass it off with an "Emmet, my dear, could you read this to me," Emmet will try to read it, and then pass it off with a "Hey, Akari, what does this say." XD

Sometimes when Ingo asks Emmet to read something for him, instead of just taking the paper from Ingo like a normal fucking person, Emmet will come up behind him and hook his chin on Ingo's shoulder, with his arms wrapped around his waist, and then tell him to hold it closer or further away. No one in the nearby vicinity wants to be there anymore.

"Closer. ...No, further. ...Closer, actually. No no, like really close! ...Hmm, too close."

"...Emmet, my love. Are you perhaps messing with me."

"Yes. I left my glasses at The Wallflower last night."

It's been going well! We actually just changed owners the other day, now Reye is in charge! We're up to 99 members now! We even have a really cute Question of the Day function for things like hcs, favorite characters, etc!

And there's still a lot of submas posting, we've stayed surprisingly hyperfixated even after all this time haha. I've basically taken over the shipping channel though, we may as well call it Fero's Ingirida Channel now skxjsmmd

Do you remember the second blankshipping server that was made shortly after ours? I've joined over there, too, and now there are people who have crossed over into our server, too! So it kind of feels like having neighbors where everyone just randomly wanders into whichever house they want, it's really nice and homey. Our server is the less active one, so it's good and cozy for the users that get too overwhelmed by how busy the second server is haha. I frequent both servers since you know how much I like to yell, but ours is always the one that still feels like home to me, and it's where I settle in and get comfy even when my spoons are minimal. ♡

So it's still doing well! And I'm really happy to find out you're in a better place and doing better, too. I hope it keeps getting better for you. ♡

I think they both like stuff like “my love, my Ingo/Emmet, Mine, my dearest”

I do think they only use it in private yeah :thonk: though they also consider a certain intonation of “my brother” as something sweet, and they can say that generally as well.

white forest: how do you think their dynamic and routines change as they grow old together?

I think tbh they will have to relent that overworking is unsustainable, no matter how much they may brainworms about it! They get older, and creakier, and shit hurts more. So maybe they make a gameplan where they both remind each other to go rest, or just leave. A plan to try to help bring each other down from high energy moods, Or chase each other down to put them in the burrito. Whichever is the easiest option -haha!

This is for YIngo and Oemmet, but I think they start travelling a bit and it becomes a little hobby for free days (meticulously planned). They go and see the world and make happier memories for Emmet, since he already went out and saw the world in his mindset of desperation.

Truthfully, idk much about her! I looked her up and i've seen a lot of silly fanart so now I will make stuff up. I hope it is to ur tastes!

We can go many a way for her, as I am flexible - but here’s a silly idea

What if they know her as a public events acquaintance? Say that trainers of their caliber and fame are invited to certain things - and they go out of politeness or that it would be a good idea in general to show up. And they/ve been to many a thing - there’s regular shit you’d notice and think about. Why not someone to talk to with? The brothers already talk between themselves - though I don’t think they’d say anything too crazy. Not in public anyway. But if Elesa is a regular and is around, and by proximity and boredom, they may strike up a friendly conversation.

At first it is about the goings on. Then perhaps, about the event itself. And then as they attend more and more of these things - of the rest in attendance. Of course, Ingo would never bad mouth (unless perhaps, there would be someone who’s actions are particularly incendiary). Emmet would be blunt, but not combative (unless, perhaps, it would be greatly funny to do so [and warranted]). Elesa is cheery, and they talk about pokemon, and strategy, and how sometimes waiting around is boring, and about how perhaps the food at the last thing was better, or that a strong trainer fought them the other day, or that something the people were doing was a good thing indeed.

It would be funny also, perhaps, if gossip rags were to make up shit about them. And they bring it and laugh. Because literally that’s someone I talk to at events. My seasonal buddy. It’s a joke among them now, and try to see if they can find the funniest fakest story imaginable.

As for if she knows? In this case, I would suppose she does not. I don’t think here, that Ingo and Emmet would be obvious about it. (unlike at the station where everyone knows, because while professional, the twins are comfortable in their element.)

She may read about it in the gossip rags, and she may scoff. She may notice a tender moment here or there between them, but I don’t suppose she would think much of it. If it’s their intimacy between family that she witnesses, then it’s just a pleasant moment she is around for and not part of. She may have her thoughts and opinions, but she would not see them much for it to matter at all. She thinks that they’re friendly people - funny, weird, passionate about pokemon, bored with waiting around, and like to enjoy themselves. She likes them, and they also like her.

I change day to day cause I like different scenarios THOUGH I have to say i’m a fan of secrets and guilt and some angst here and there haha. Let me ramble unstructuredly and let is see where it takes us.

I do think the long term subway employees kinda know or just feel that its true? And they don’t really care - the bosses are good people, fair enough bosses, pretty enthusiastic and hardworking, but mostly take on extra stuff themselves (probably cause they want to?) but that usually leads to the other employees wanting to even out the work load and things get done pretty efficiently in the end. I don’t think the lads ever let the employees know explicitly - they’re pretty crisp and professional after all. But maybe they feel like the employees don’t know when they do lol.

Their friends kinda know too I guess, but yknow I don’t know much about how it feels to want to be lovey dovey in public :think_emoji: I do think they’re not touchy at all with other people, but kinda naturally touchy with each other in incredibly casual ways? And that it’s sort of like a life long thing they’ve developed even in the start with their brotherly relationship. Though I do think they are aware of some ways other people view touch. Sometimes they don’t think about it though.

I think in OG age difference AU, Yemmet is more obviously into Oingo, I mean in the sense like INGO is BACK and I will LOOK at him and you cant stop me!!! and Old Ingo is just, Oh? heheh :) THOUGH He does like propriety and professionalism in the subway, EMMET Please Behave! I don’t think in this AU they’re that secretive if they had a bit of a lovey relationship pre-disappearance. This will get way too long if I try and live-think about confession post-PLA so let’s move on for now o3o

I think in reverse!agesAU, they aren’t keeping it a secret neither I think - but they’re pretty private about it. They’re both worried they’re not right for the other, and like take a lot of steps getting closer in their own home. I think when they are more confident at accepting love from each other, they might go on low key private dates, or far away trips so they can enjoy each other’s company doing new things.

Im also a bit loosey goosey with headcanons here :P So let me livethink and ramble.

I do enjoy the idea that it just feels so natural to them that for a bit they didn’t even think about the progression? They have always liked to snuggle, they always do everything together, and their twinliness as youths made them look pretty cute and endearing to most people. I mostly think about them as 30+ year old men haha so my ideas about them as teens are limited, but thats always such a transitional stage yeah?

Ingo feeling guilty or worried about scorn hurting his brother... I love it. Make him feel guilty!!!  (check out ‘in a gray area’ by anon OAO!) Ahaha if we go with that version of Ingo, I like thinking that they already kind of in the ‘vague zone’ of a relationship, and he maybe tries to put some distance between them. Which in turn upsets Emmet, and that upsets Ingo, then they just get pulled back stronger into their twin star orbits.

I think in reverse!agesAU, Ingo is actually the one to initiate some of their stuff. Mostly in talking though and actively spending time with Emmet (who’s like, oh yeah I forgot how to do that). Though I do subscribe to what @belltrigger said in collar where they haven’t been physically close for a bit after Ingo gets back (in any sense of that, and Emmet initiates in that fic).

I could live think more but it will get long! Cause im indecisive and enjoy exploring different versions!
