We don't talk enough about how terrifying Atsushi was in the end of Anne's Room.

My boy grabbed Lucy and threatened to send her into the caged door if she didn't release her ability.

All while knowing that if that happened she would never be able to escape, even if she did release her ability.

"Do you want to die in this world you made?" Goes so unbelievably hard and Atsushi wasn't even bluffing because he let's go.

Mind you this would've trapped them both of them but that's how far Atsushi was going to go. He sympathises with Lucy and he does feel guilt for this, but he has his limits.

The fact the only other person to witness this moment was Mori of all people makes it all the more interesting. Not to mention that this is Atsushi acting on advice Mori gave him, but making it his own.

Can't tell me Mori left that interaction not curious about him.

Mori finally bans toys from all mafia meetings after Dazai and Chuuya got bored at a very important negotiation and initiated a water gun fight with each other. Bringing game consoles was already pushing it, but the water guns were the last straw.

This backfires however, when at the next meeting they both attend, Dazai once again gets bored and just pulls out an actual gun and starts shooting at Chuuya. Who catches the bullets with his ability and proceeds to pelt Dazai with them in return.

I genuinely would love a ff where Atsushi is the one who transfers to Port Mafia.

Mori wanted Dazai, but he knew it wouldn’t be that easy to take him. Dazai’s too slippery, too smart. So instead, Mori picks Atsushi. He’s a quiet good piece Mori can use.

First, it’ll hurt Dazai to lose another person who’s important to him. Atsushi isn’t just anyone. He means something to Dazai.

Second, Atsushi’s ability is really useful, especially for slaughter. His white tiger form is powerful and perfect for what the Mafia needs.

Third, Atsushi wouldn’t be that hard to manipulate. Not for a man like Mori. Atsushi’s got doubts, insecurities, and a big desire to protect others. Mori knows exactly how to twist that.

Mori doesn’t just want Atsushi’s power. He wants to hit Dazai, where it hurts the most. Take Atsushi, and he hits two birds with one stone.
