I'll probably add more onto this when I can write more. For now I'll dump these maybe along with some basic thoughts before I write a long analysis a few hours from now.

To sum up a thought instead of my upcoming dump-analysis and random theorizing. This reason could be Akutagawa seeing a value in a life which isn't his own. In beast we see him trying to teach those who killed his friends the value of a life through killing them, and eventually even lost his own way and hadn't noticed how he basically didn't show how to value his sisters life or his own with his recklessness until it was too late. And here we may get the answer would be throughout everything he may of seen a value in Atsushi's life, a life other than his own. Someone similar to him but so different, the other side of the coin. I can't describe properly right now but I had a random thought before on how this shows Akutagawa kind of saving himself or past self in a way but differently from when he said he was glad for Kyouka but thats for next time where I write more.

Earlier than this we see Dazai saying he knows why.

Throughout this series its obvious how much they both grew from each other and how their bonds shifted, beast gave me even more insight into how they would be as friends even (atsushi and akutagawa that is.) And them being the successful soukoku is something I enjoy a lot, from Mori and Fukuzawa which are black and white and completely don't see eye to eye or can be a working team, to Dazai and Chuuya who were forced to work together for their capabilities despite not getting along but they are there for eachother when things depend on it as comrades, then theres Akutagawa and Atsushi Yin and Yang - even their designs are showing how they all are so different and how they would work together or not. SSKK balances each other out, (I still don't think SSKK is a good name for their Yin and Yang relation.) But anyways, these two have so much development its amazing.

I know there are many theories surrounding Akutagawa currently with his memory loss etc. But over here he technically is saving/protecting a "commoner" or the "innocent" just as Knight Akutagawa says. And he as a character if you look back has always been a bit of a protector, as we know with his now deceased friends in the slums. Not to mention Rashomon is not just offensive but defensive, which can kind of show how it protects himself and could protect others - just another thought.

Akutagawa's death definitely influenced/impacted/affected Atsushi alot, not even in a shipping POV but as a canon appreciator and theorist/overanalyst I have to say this scene is one of my favourites. And Akutagawa gaining some (or all I am not sure as of now) of his memories after this MAKES SENSE! Because Akutagawa literally has been trying to kill atsushi for so long, their promise was even for him not to kill anyone for 6 months before the death battle with Atsushi (which I kinda hope still happens and ends like how beast's battle between them ended kind of.) And it is a big impactful thing to Akutagawa because this was a moment where he sacrificed himself, for someone who had most of his things being wants and obtaining that wanted goal which stems from selfishness (which atsushi similarily has) this was a selfless act for protecting someone, someone who has become worthy of being saved? Someone who just deserves to live because he now fully understands the value of others' lives? Of course Akutagawa would "wake up" after Atsushi sacrificed himself and said the same words he did since its quite a big deal to his whole character. Also an honerable mention to 55 minutes?! I will make a separate thing on random thoughts of Akutagawa and Rashomon at some point about the cutting through space - or rather how he manages to retain consciousness or memories despite certain things or losing them. Maybe the things that impact him impact him that much that it sticks no matter what. In 55 minutes when he was dying in flames after searching for Higuchi and having his moment of last words - when the time is reversed we see he still remembered the exact time of the disaster, and himself burning he remembers, he also made sure to check up on Higuchi near around that time too so he remembered quite a lot for someone who died and wasn't supposed to have ANY memory of something that never HAPPENED YET. Yet he retained some of it, and VAMPIRE Aku also had some of his consciousness as Atsushi spoke or when he SAVED/SPARED Aya. (Also random noting that the vapirism had no affect on Atsushi.) Aku still kept his promise like the man of honor he is, and this even shows how he'd still protect a child and have moments of memory despite being a vampire who is supposed to only take orders and be mindless like a DOG which Aku HAS been to the mafia but an uncontrollable one too. So what I see is that he really does have something going on with memories and how things personally impacting him plays a huge role in his character and character development which is obvious because Dazai...

Been reading the two stories Poe is based on in bsd, and I find it very amusing that dynamic of the main characters in ‘the murders in the rue morgue’ essentially sums up any Poe + Ranpo perfectly.

16 Year old kid who’s more intelligent than they let on. They are accepted into an academy to challenge villains who torment the world. (Will do an info dump eventually). He loves thrill and adrenaline, often getting himself into risky situations and facing little penalty later on somehow.

Everest-

Also 16 year old boy who’s got a hefty responsibility on his shoulders. He’s more ‘rebellious’ of sorts to forget his status and wealth but has a kind heart and set morals. He was also accepted into the same academy.

Introducing Yi Sang! My lovely pathetic boy.

Ability: "Crow's Eye View"

[Ability revolves around inducing people's Anxiety and fear via memories and hallucinations to like a paralyzing degree.]

Yi Sang's a pretty awkward guy, apathetic, and usually just ignorant. But there are times when his interest is peaked, he gains slow motivation and curiosity to check things out.

Doesn't zone out, just really weirdly void and silent about things.

He has a weird way of saying words thats almost kind of poetic- any normal guy would have a hard time understanding his weird ass metaphors.

Just sinking into a lazy and unfulfilled oblivion of a life as others do better than him. Does he care? A little, will that stop him? Nah, he's still holding onto his tiny beliefs while barely being able to take care of himself.

Though he still really wants the affection of anything or anyone...

He's a mess, all I know. He's highly dependent and inexorably boring to be with. Like... a stiff rock, that doesn't wanna be picked up no matter what.

His past is messy, and pretty unclear to Yi Sang himself.

But, as a child- still the same as current Yi Sang, the weird dependent guy. He's always been locked up in his family's room, but he didn't really care. Commenting that the warmness and dust in the room were comfy and okay enough. Didn't like the stale food, and how he had to hide each time his parents had visitors, would act all sad just so he could be given shiny... shiny coins! He didn't actually know how to use them when he was a kid so he just had a pile of coins in the corner of his room.

Yi Sang still has likes and dislikes, course'

Yi Sang is usually apathetic but he likes magnifying glasses and he can sometimes burn stuff with it. He also likes nice smells and fragrant items.

Yi Sang kind of hated how isolated he was, and how much hiding his parents made him do- didn't even feel like a family to him, kind of alienated. But those problems, those dislikes? He'd forget them in the morning eitherway.

The Yeong public affair Association's architect, though rarely seen or talked about- he's average at his job, makes him a decent living. The only one present and actually talking to people on the job is a mirror or alter-ego of himself he built for that purpose.

Sometimes it's very odd to exist??????????????? Especially when u'r neurospicy and picking your personality apart by the things that influence it/by the characters you can relate to.

Like, I'm an ENTP (6w5, Melancholic) but ((despite hardcore vibing with the apparent prereq. of being traumatized w/ emotional constipation and so many masks I feel like a goddamn onion some days)) I never really project onto them. And more often than not I actually tend to dislike/easily tire of them.

ENTPs for example: My best friend (IRL), Dazai (BSD), Sherlock (MtP), Kaeya (Genshin), Vanitas (VnC/TCSoV), Romania (APH), Tony Stark (MCU spec. I haven't checked for Comic or Cartoon versions), and Sirius Black (HP).

Taking BSD (Bungo Stray Dogs for those not aware) as an example: Dazai is an ENTP. One I very much so relate to emotionally!!(?)

But if you were to watch it and meet me, you'd be more likely to think of Chuuya (Personality Database says he's an 8w7 but I feel like 6w7 fits better but I can agree that ESFP suits him more than ESTP (Choleric)), someone who hides emotional vulnerability with anger and has an overall reactive disposition, strongly valuing loyalty. Or Poe (INFP 4w5 Melancholic), dramatic and loud when comfortable or motivated, but otherwise fairly quiet, anxious, introspective, and melancholic in how he behaves.

It's rather curious. (I'm not going to dump the other characters I pick tidbits from/relate to a little too hard outside of BSD lol.)

I hardly know where I actually start and where the numerous masks end... Despite being uncomfortably aware of myself and the contents of my brain at the same time!

YAYYYYYY FINALLY A BSD SHIP ASK :D SAPPHIC BSD SPECIFICALLY YES :D

• Okay since BSD isn’t my current hyperfixation this might be tricky BUT I was hyperfixated on it for like half a year not too long ago so I still have loads of info stored up in my brain to be dumped out

• Their first time meeting was when Kouyou was held captive by the Agency during the Guild Arc. They had heard of each other prior to that and being from rival organizations, they went in expecting to be enemies

• Their first impression was a rough one, but there was an underlying thread of chemistry. They matched each other’s banter very well, despite being used to having the final word at their respective organizations. It was a welcomed change

• And they’re both raging lesbians so like…hot lady who is my enemy…many thoughts occur

• It’s very much an enemies AND lovers dynamic, they meet up for secret rendezvous and then fight each other during times of conflict

• The tragic part is that they both like each other, that’s why it’s become an ongoing thing. That’s why they start going on secret dates in disguise, although they both claim to not enjoy it

• In another life they would’ve been soulmates, but their conflicting ideologies and rival positions force them to be enemies (because I like to make things overly romantic, sue me)

• They have a lot of insignificant things in common- favorite desserts, favorite books, etc. Those are important, but they’re also similar personality-wise and with their backstories

• I imagine Yosano dates around a lot and this makes Kouyou insanely jealous. They aren’t official so she technically can’t have a problem with it but it still gets under her skin

• So Yosano’s like “hey if you want to be exclusive just say that, there are no rules to this secret relationship thing” but Kouyou is too stubborn to admit she likes Yosano that much

• Yosano initially takes a very “your trauma is not my business” approach to their differing jobs but as things get more serious she starts to develop a slight savior complex. She goes from being completely unattached to way too attached. She wants to show Kouyou the light the way Ranpo and Fukuzawa did for her

• Speaking of which, there’s only one person who knows about their situationship and that’s Ranpo. He figured it out himself and mentioned it casually to Yosano one day, nearly giving her a heart attack. She knew he would find out eventually but it was very sudden. At least she has someone to vent to when things get especially confusing

• Higuchi and Gin eventually find out too because they catch them at the same lesbian bar

• Pretty soon it becomes an open secret

• I like to imagine there’s a big moment of confrontation between the PM and Kouyou that goes down exactly like the “how long have you been fucking Nate Jacobs?” scene from Euphoria

• Kouyou addresses Yosano as “Doctor” in public and “Akiko” in private

• Kouyou likes to use her mafia money to send Yosano anonymous gifts on a whim. Yosano always knows who they’re from

• Yosano’s favorite physical trait of Kouyou’s is her hair, Kouyou likes Yosano’s sadistic smile

• Speaking of which, Yosano definitely appreciates having a relationship where they get to beat the shit out of each other on occasion. It keeps the spark alive

• But on dates or in settings that are generally more intimate, Yosano is a total gentleman. She def gives all her girls the princess treatment. Kouyou is used to being the one to spoil women so this makes her very flustered

• They had one big fight about Mori and ever since then they made a silent agreement never to bring him up. When things are tense he becomes an elephant in the room

• In traditional “ADA member has a PM-related secret” fashion, Kunikida was the last to find out about their relationship

• This is so completely random but they remind me of Kermit and Miss Piggy. Yosano is Kermit

• Kouyou pretends to be severely injured every time the PM and ADA team up so she has an excuse to see Yosano

• Yosano sends Kouyou pictures of particularly bad crime scenes or injuries at random to jump scare her

• Kouyou likes classical music and Yosano is a metalhead

2. BSD Anna has multiple AUs in my art. Historical AU: it’s an abandoned kind of project, it’s the sketch kind of art. It’s just a cute random idea.

3. Her designs is contradictory to his designs. In their irl life. If you read original irl Anna Memoir (only available in German and Russian) you will find that the marriage is not quite the “perfect” ones. She tells him one thing and he do another, basically she tries to be the logical one but her husband contradicts that. Which lead to their horrible financial situation.

There are a lot of possibilities with this, so instead of just info dumping I'll just make a list and wait till someone asks me to expand on one of them

Akutagawa as Daki's apprentice:

Either when Dazai leaves the PM or when Akutagawa gets the whole 'wheres your head at' treatment from Fukuchi, he gets picked up by Daki who teaches him how to master his ability. Time progresses and he gets ranked up/stronger and eventually returns to Yokohama on a mission and absolutely flabbergasts Dazai LMAO

Bsd characters as Uppermoon's children:

Like, Dazai is Douma's son, Akutagawa is Daki's son, etc. Dazai and Inosuke are raised as siblings throughout the century between their eras. Muzan is dead, so the Uppermoons are fighting for the spot as the Demon King/Queen. The current ranking is Douma as King, Daki as upper 1, Dazai as upper 2, Inosuke as upper 3, etc. Akutagawa doesn't know he's half demon, most don't even know they exist. Dazai has to train him in the PM, but he intentionally stunts his growth because Daki is already a major threat to the hierarchy but a mini-her would upset the balance.

Dazai's backstory as Nezuko Kamado:

(this highkey turned into a story halfway, MEGA TRIGGER WARNINGS, it's Dazai gang y'all know there's gonna be sewerslide mentions, but I went a little overboard and it became more descriptive rather than a mention. He has repeated mental breakdowns, sorry gang, also I'm really bad at angst.)

Kamado Tanjiro's only surviving family member is Kamado Osamu, his younger brother. Osamu is now under the control of a powerful ability that isn't affected by No Longer Human- not even Blood Demon Art is affected. Turned into a demon, he sleeps for two years while Tanjiro trains to become a demon slayer. Canon events play out, but Osamu is in Nezuko's place. Osamu doesn't age, just like other demons, and remains twelve until after the fight with Muzan. Here, things diverge from canon:

Osamu doesn't get turned back into a human. Whether he doesn't take the antidote or it just doesn't work, he's still very much a demon (He does begin to age again though).

Tanjiro gets turned into the demon king, and Osamu is holding on to him, begging his brother to stop, saying over and over again that he was scared. The remaining three Hashira are fighting him, trying to hold him off as they have been weakened significantly. Lower ranking Slayers point out that since Tanjiro is still turning into a demon, if they gave the antidote to him it would kill him. Some disagree on ethics, but the battle is raging and time is running out.

Tengen swoops in and says something about how none of the lower slayers should have to shoulder the burden and he takes the antidote. One of the other slayers (I imagine Murata) warns him that since he only has one hand, he can't carry a weapon with him and it would be too dangerous, but Tengen says he won't risk anyone else. Afterall, the guilt would be too much.

Not only was he going to have to kill the man who killed Muzan, he was going to have to do it in front of the boy Tanjiro had fought for.

(And, oh boy, it gets worse)

And with Tanjiro flailing his bone-tentacle things everywhere, barely held at bay by Giyuu and Sanemi who both looked half dead, the only opening would be through Osamu.

Tengen's feet were quick and his aim was true; the syringe of antidote went through Osamu just below his collarbone and hit Tanjiro directly in the heart. Osamu turned to look at him in shock, and recognition and trust dawned on his face. He thought Tengen could make everything all better.

Tengen said, "I'm truly sorry, Osamu," right before he injected the antidote into Tanjiro's heart.

Trust turned to horror as Tengen tried to pull Osamu away from Tanjiro, now curling in on himself in pain. The syringe was yanked out, but it was unclear who had done it. Tanjiro fell to the ground, Osamu still desperately hanging on as his brother writhed in pain.

"Niisan! Please, Niisan!" Osamu begged, to his brother, to god, to Tengen, to anyone who was listening, but the only reply was Tanjiro's body beginning to disintegrate.

The world was filled with screaming as it shook and trembled and shook and trembled and the world was dark and covered in blood and dead bodies littered the ground but there was no body for Osamu to bury or mourn and the world was dark and bloodsoaked and the world was falling apart in front of Osamu's eyes the world covered in blood and filled with screams-

Osamu didn't yet register, even when nothing but blood came from his throat, that he was the one screaming, he was the one shaking his own world with such powerful sobbing that his skinny, breakable frame seemed determined to destroy itself in his misery and grief.

When he finally would register later, on an infirmary bed fastened down until he had nothing but his thoughts and no outlet for them, that way he couldn't hurt anyone, he would be unable to cry again. Ever again. He'd lost his joy, his happiness, his light when Tanjiro died. He'd screamed and cried out every emotion he was capable of until there was nothing, nothing at all left inside of him. A hole where his heart should have been.

His heart hadn't been ripped out when Tengen stabbed him; no, he'd felt how bad that had hurt, it had still been there. He'd cried until there weren't enough tears, enough joy, enough anger or disgust to form a heart, and now he couldn't feel a damn thing.

When someone finally came to rescue him from his thoughts, it was Yushiro. He began to untie Osamu imediately, barely restraining from cursing whoever decided that was a good idea.

Osamu didn't sit up, didn't move at all when Yushiro was done. There was a pause as Yushiro took in the state of Osamu, seeing no resemblance to the boy who had been so spirited, so driven-

But, he'd been so driven to protect his brother, and now his brother was dead.

Yushiro wrapped his arms around Osamu, silent because he knew no words could console him. Osamu was limp in his grip, not hugging back, and they stayed like that for a moment until Osamu rested his head on Yushiro's shoulder, and they stayed like that for a very long time.

When Osamu started feeling drawn to death, Yushiro was there, a shoulder to collapse on when the weight of everything became too much. Osamu began aging again, and when he turned fourteen, he had convinced himself he was better, enough to find his own way. He ventured towards Yokohama, a bustling city. He stopped outside the city limits, in a homey inn that was just like their old home- Oh, how Osamu just wanted to be back home with Tanjiro, home was gone now, at least for Osamu, maybe Tanjiro had made himself at home in heaven, maybe Osamu could join him-

And suddenly he wasn't better, and Yushiro wasn't there to stop him and-

When Osamu woke up, he was fastened to an infirmary table again, but not one he recognized. Movement came from beside him, and a taller figure leaned over him. "Ah, you're awake. How are you feeling?"

He knew it wasn't, he could see with his eyes this wasn't Lady Tamayo, but it was so comforting to close his eyes to reality for a second and let Lady Tamayo take care of him.

Osamu had a brilliant mind, but it was very adept at creating falsities- both for others and himself. His thoughts wandered, trying to come up with a scenario where this was Lady Tamayo. Maybe, she'd had to disguise herself to stay hidden from Muzan. No one would expect a middle-aged man to be the woman who poisoned the Demon King. Maybe, she'd grown to like her new form, and maybe, she knew Osamu would see that it was still Tamayo and so she didn't bother to explain herself to Osamu because sometimes you just weren't comfortable in your own skin, the body of a demon.

Osamu had taken on a more human form after the Battle with Muzan, making his eyes brown and turning the red tips of his hair back brown again. Every time he looked in the mirror or caught sight of his reflection, he wanted to rip it all up, destroy the mirror, destroy himself. That hadn't changed when he began to look more human, but he stopped getting looks from other people that made him want to-

Osamu looked down at the injury he'd given himself in hopes of escaping life, which hadn't healed with his regeneration because he'd stopped using regeneration the moment he realized he wanted to die. He should've felt shame for his actions, a stranger having to patch him up, but the only thing Osamu could feel in his hallowed out chest was his lungs still breathing, how disappointing.

Akutagawa as Daki:

Essentially Dazai and him are on a mission, they get chased by a demon, Dazai injures Akutagawa so that the demon will eat him and leave Dazai to escape. Only, the demon is Gyutaro and this stupid ah kid reminds him of his sister who never survived the transformation to a demon so he offers Akutagawa demonhood. Akutagawa accepts, falling into the role of Warabhime(the Oiran cover Daki uses in the house of Kyogaku) He makes bank and power, feeding off of foul customers and soon being revered as a sort of goddess amongst the Red Light District women. In Uppermoon meetings, he takes his knowledge from the Mafia and applies it to help them function like a team and actually get things done. Mori hears wind of Akutagawa's work and sends the Black Lizards -Gin to go 'take care of it'. A beautiful Oiran greets them and lets them into the Red Light District, apologizing that the Manager isn't there to greet them.
