⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠
*:・ 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟐
Tumblr media
synopsis: It’s the day when your baby’s gender is revealed | warnings: none, mild cursing | parings: Armando x reader | Authors note: The gender of the baby is chosen!! (based off of the poll) Sorry if you were on the opposite team, but the people have chosen 🤷🏽‍♀️!
Tumblr media
𝐈𝐓𝐒 been a while since you’ve told everyone you’re pregnant. You told Armando to go to work but he insisted on staying home with you, at least until the baby’s born.
Armando has just gotten back from the store. You sent him to buy ice cream, that was what you’d been craving for hours.
You were sitting on your couch, flipping through Disney movies before stopping on Princess and The Frog.
He placed your ice cream on the kitchen counter, before sitting down next to you.
You turned to him “I know you want a boy but what do you feel like we’re having?”
“A girl”
You’ve Google many things that could help you determine the gender of your baby but nothing helped. Tomorrow you would actually find out the gender, though.
“Oh, I feel like it’s a boy. I know Mike wants it to be a boy, he said it keeps the Lowrey line going or something.”
Armando rested his hand in your stomach, rubbing it, “Cualquiera que sea el género, el bebé va a ser perfecto.”
“Awwe!” You leaned over to him, pecking him softly on the lips. “Come on.”
“Where are we going?”
“Back to the store. I’m craving pickles.”
He rolled his eyes, standing up, grabbing the keys off the counter.
He couldn’t say no to you if he tried.
Tumblr media
𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐆 at the doctor, you were shaking with excitement. You couldn’t wait to know the gender of the baby. You weren’t really looking for names yet, but you were excited to go clothes shopping.
A.M.M.O team had already had a custom baby onesie, with A.M.M.O spelled out on the front made. It was black, and grey, so it was kind of gender neutral.
You were seated inside an room. You waited for the nurse with Armando. Hand in hand.
Soon an nurse walked in.
“How are you feeling? Are you excited? Todays finally the day.” The nurse asked smiling sweetly.
“I’m super excited!” You replied, squeezing Armando’s hand.
“Well I’m happy to say that you are carrying an healthy baby girl!”
Your mouth dropped, while Armando froze with wide eyes.
“¿Que?” He said, mouth agape.
There was nothing wrong with having a girl. That’s actually what you wanted anyway, but it’s still very shocking.
“Congratulations!” The nurse said handing you some papers, including an printed out ultrasound of your baby girl.
“You’re on the right track so far, the baby is the opposite way that we need her to be for birth, but it’s nothing we can’t fix. I’ll expect o see you back here in about 3 weeks. The nurse said before smiling and walking out of the room, leaving you and Armando in an awkward silence.
“Are you okay?” You asked turning, looking at him. “I know you wanted a boy but-“
You paused feeling an squeeze on your hand.
“I’m happy we’re having a girl.” He said. You sighed, you thought for a second he was mad.
“Ella va a ser fuerte como su mamá.”
You smiled at him before standing up from your seat, “Now how are we going to tell your dad?”
Tumblr media
You and Armando, decided to tell everyone the gender with cupcakes. You didn’t want a big gender reveal so you bought cupcakes. All of the cupcakes were white on the inside, except one, which was pink on the inside.
You met everyone at Mike’s house. After greetings we’re exchanged, you handed out cupcakes.
As everyone bit into their cupcakes, you watched closely, to see who had the pink one. Marcus shoved his into his mouth whole.
After a few minutes, no one had the pink cupcake yet. “Wait. One of the cupcakes were colored!”
Everyone started looking around, then all eyes stopped on Marcus.
“Oops.” He said chuckling.
You should’ve known he was gonna do something stupid, and not given him the pink cupcake.
“Wait your tongue is pink!” Kelly yelled. “Are you having a girl?”
You looked at Armando who was questionably quiet, nodding slowly.
Congratulations and cheers were made. “I’m gonna have a granddaughter?” Mike asked.
“Yes.”
You grabbed Armando’s arm, bringing him to Mike’s living room, leaving everyone else in the kitchen.
“Are you okay? Your more quiet that usual.”
He placed both of his hands on your stomach.
“Me acabo de enterar que voy a tener una hija.” You smiled at him. “Todo está bien.”
He bent down, now being face to face with your stomach, looking back up at you.
“Everything’s okay.”

LGBTQ+ Disabled Characters Showdown Round 3, Wave 2, Poll 11
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A character being totally canon LGBTQ+ and disabled was not required to be in this competition. Please check qualifications and propaganda before asking why a character is included.
Check out the other polls in this wave and prior here.
Ashton Greymoor-Critical Role
Qualifications:
chronic pain due to literally shattering into pieces and being put back together with molten gold. canon nonbinary [he/they]. i don’t have the spoons for a ramble on their character arc but i am holding them gently in my little hands.
Has chronic pain and TBI and goes by he/they pronouns
They are canonically depicted with chronic pain. This a major part of their character development and how they interact with other characters in the campaign. The actor who portrays them is also bisexual and deals with chronic pain; Taliesin Jaffe.
Propaganda:
they’re a punk-rock punk rock!! he has cool quantum powers and a huge glass hammer!! they’re slowly learning to live with the mortifying ordeal of having people that care about them and that he cares about in turn!! what’s not to love
A literal jaded punk rock. They were soft once... and then they turnd into stone. His body was shattered and glued back together by his enby housemate with melted gold. They have a hole in their head covered with glass through which you can see the brain and the chaos magic that brought them back from the brink of death. They're Constantly in pain and sometimes they don't remember who they screwed over(they crime) and what their relationship is like with people. He's a barbarian and when he rages he warps time, space, gravity or probability around him. Strongest member of their group/family Bells Hells. There's strength, but there's pain. There's pain, but there's strength. I love him very much. I'm not enby, they still give me gender envy (just like every other of his creator's characters). His coping mechanisms are not healthy in any way and he means a lot to me.
See above. Also, Ashton uses he/they pronouns and is canonically aromantic.
The qualifications and propaganda paragraphs correspond, @hawkeyeloveshawkeye is the third submitter.
Frodo Baggins-The Lord Of The Rings
Qualifications:
Frodo & Sam are very homoerotic. As JRRT knew and loved several openly gay authors, one of his closest friends was suspected of being gay, and with other historical events of the time, you can’t convince me it wasn’t at least a little bit subconsciously on purpose. Frodo, of course, has ptsd and probably some form of chronic illness due to the lingering effects of his nazgul wound.
Propaganda:
Frodo carried the weight of the world on his shoulders and was forever changed by it. The literal devil’s soul was constantly around his neck, always tempting him, growing stronger by the minute, twisting him and torturing him mentally. He didn’t know how his journey would end when he offered to take on the burden of destroying the most evil object in the world, but he chose to do it anyway. And he was forever ruined by it - so much that he never truly came home, not really. And once he was home, life was so thoroughly ruined for him that he could not stay. There is one other known account of this happening - Arwen’s mother, who was captured and tortured for years by orcs, and while her body was healed, her mind could not be, and she, too, sailed away. Do you understand that? Frodo’s journey was on the same level as *being captured and tortured for years on end.* He is probably the gayest non-canon confirmed character I have ever come across, queer-coded through and through, and his ptsd was enough that he could not come home, and had to sail to paradise to find peace. He deserves everything.

Transmasc Swag Polls- ROUND 1
Tumblr media
Propaganda and other info under the cut.
CANONICITY LEVELS-
PHINEAS: Because I Said So ANYBODYS: Subtext/ Coded (1961 film)/ CANON Transgender Man (2021 film)
MEDIA? Phineas and Ferb, West Side Story (movies specifically)
PHINEAS PROPAGANDA- He has that tboy slouch and a voice that gives me gender envy. He’s the shortest of his friend group AND he has a side-shave. He’s an active parallel character to Dr. Doofenshmirtz, and we already know that HE’S trans. He created the most stereotypically “masculine” superhero and it just so happened to make him tall, strong, and have a deep voice. Also his sibling is Ferb. Lookat him. Lookat his autism eyes and pointy, pointy face and many-a creations. This boy is trans, I have no doubt in my heart. ANYBODYS PROPAGANDA- In the original, Anybodys is a tomboy who wants to join the Jets but can’t because they’re a girl. There’s a cut song where they sing about how they want to be a boy, they get upset when they’re called a girl, and towards the end, one of the other Jets refers to them as “buddy boy” to signal they’ve become one of them. In the 2021 version, they’re played by a nonbinary actor and it was confirmed they’re intended as transmasc. What Anybodys wants more than anything is to be seen as one of the boys in the Jets. The first part of the musical shows us how much they feel disconnected from the other gang members, and how they refuse to let Anybodys officially join the gang because they see them as a girl. After Riff dies and the Jets' second in command takes over, he makes a point to include Anybodys with the rest of the boys and calls them "buddy boy", which results in the clearest non-canon depiction of gender euphoria I've ever seen. In the 2021 remake, Anybodys is a trans man, and the movie touches on his issues finding acceptance in the Jets because of his gender (or so I've read in the plot summaries, I haven't actually seen this one). They're scrappy! They're sneaky! They don't back down from a fight, and the only thing they want more than being seen as one of the boys is to be helpful to the people the respect.

The concept:
Some folks can’t wrap their heads around being attracted to people of middle age, plus sizes, non traditional gender presentation, etc
Others cry themselves to sleep because they can’t fornicate with literal monsters and cartoon characters that don’t exist
Does this fictional crush require some convincing and mental gymnastics or do you just need to lower your standards?
Example:
Lady Dimitrescu, giant woman, mega babe, love of my life. Cracking chalk white foundation but otherwise she is the moment (cue Sinead O’Connor’s cover of Nothing Compares 2 U)
Decidedly NOT a “hear me out”
Tumblr media
Alcina Dimitrescu’s monster form
An eldritch horror dragon thing made up of tendrils that explode into mouths layered upon mouths like the petals of a rose, all lined with jagged teeth. The only semblance of humanity is her head and torso also made up of tendrils, making her look like a skinless diagram of human musculature
Tumblr media
Debatably a “hear me out” because firstly, would😏 and secondly, she is literally designed to be terrifying and upsetting, if not also impressive and interesting
The rules:
No minors or real people
The wilder the character, the better
The focus is primarily on physical appearance, please keep the conversation light and civil and steer away from ableism, racism, bigotry in general, or shaming others
Submissions or asks welcome! If you’d like to be anonymous, send anon asks or you can request to be anonymous in your submission. Otherwise, I will post the poll as is
If there’s multiple versions of a character, please specify. Preferably a picture reference included with submission
If you want to prevent spoilers, please include a spoiler warning in your submission
Votes decide whether a character’s appearance is unconventional enough that being attracted to them warrants elaborate defense (“Okay just hear me out!” or “why they kinda…[hot]?”) Essentially, is this person being attractive a hot take?
NOT smash or pass, would you rather, or FMK, there’s other blogs for that. The assumption here is people do find the proposed characters attractive
I’ll tag characters and their respective media so you can check tags for your favs. But I can request them again anyway idgaf
FAQ
Is it okay to submit fan art/designs?
•Official art for polls only, please! This can include scrapped concept art. I don’t want fan art submitted without proper credit or permission, nor do I want to sway the polls one way or the other with a specifically more visually appealing design
Fan art and designs can be sent separately as “propaganda” for polls that have already been posted or just for fun. Still with artists’ permission, proper credit, link to their page, etc.
Also nothing too graphic or suggestive

Dating Them Would Include…
Summary — Headcanons for John B Routledge from Outer Banks!
Warnings & Other Tags ➳ Nothing except for my new Outer Banks phase showing; cursing; physical affection (kissing, hugging, etc.); friendly teasing from the pogues.
Notes ➳ Word Count is 1,275. ➳ Reader is gender neutral (they/them). ➳ This is for everyone who voted for John B on my recent poll. Don’t worry, “Stolen Love” will be coming very soon! 💗 ➳ Keep in mind that as of this moment, I’ve only seen a few episodes of the show, so if anything’s inaccurate according to later episodes, that’s stuff I don’t know about right now. 💗💗
FAQ | Masterlist | Fandoms | Requests | Coming Soon | Schedule
Tumblr media
he wants to keep your relationship a secret at first
not because he’s embarrassed or anything
he just wants you all to himself
“without the other pogues butting in every few seconds... what?! huh?! no, babes, i didn’t say anything! you must be hearing things!”
of course, you can’t stop yourself from rolling your eyes at him
only to hide your smile against his chest when he wraps his arms around you in a tight hug
before he suddenly collapses onto his bed, dragging you down with him and refusing to let you escape his hold as you let out a surprised yelp
anyway let’s talk about that nickname real quick
you’re not sure where “babes” came from
but after a few months of being together, you lowkey started to think john b didn’t remember your name and had resorted to that specific nickname as a replacement so he didn’t have to ask
it was something you teased him about often, poking him in the ribs and asking, “what’s my name, johnny? c’mon tell me”
but he’d only grin back at you as he grabbed your hands and intertwined your fingers
he’d then whisper your name, lips brushing against yours
before finally pulling you into a quick kiss that would always pressure your antics into silence
sPeAkInG oF kIsSiNg!!
if you ever deny john b a kiss (or any type of physical affection, really), you might as well have just broken up with him
because that would’ve been way easier
he’s literally so whiny if you don’t kiss him whenever he wants
too busy trying to keep an eye on the stove so your house doesn’t end up in ruins? or simply enjoying your favorite book during one of your beach days? or even just trying to take a nap after a long, exhausting week of nothing but work?
nope! kiss him! kiss him right now, damn it! then give him another. another. another. and another after that.
thinking about that moment when he kissed kie and then went in for another after she pulled away. or when he and sarah are in the abandoned church and he just keeps going back for another moment with her, i was SCREAMING at those scenes!!
he’s always going back for more! and that’s definitely what he does to you
his lips just keep coming until your smoke alarm goes off, or he’s thrown your book into the sand, or you’re forced to leave your nap behind in order to give him the attention he so deeply craves
these situations usually turn into a moment in which you literally have to pry him off you so you can have a second to breathe
all the while he quietly grumbles something about being neglected
which you ignore because you know you’ve lowkey spoiled him over time
surprisingly, it took nearly a year for the other pogues to learn about your presence in his life
until jj ruined it for him of course
and the idea of having you to himself was brought to an end
jj had a tendency to stay over at the château without letting john b know ahead of time, which is why your boyfriend usually came to your place instead
you weren’t aware of this information though
but one night, you happened to stop by for a visit on your way to the beach for some night surfing
things didn’t quite work out that way since you ended up falling asleep next to john b during what he promised would be a quick cuddle session
liar
when you woke up the next morning, you pressed a gentle kiss against his forehead, gathered your stuff, and tiptoed out of his room
only you weren’t alone
shirtless, hair messy, and a toothbrush hanging out of his mouth, jj got the living shit scared out of him when you came into the hallway
“who are you?”
“who am i?! who the fuck are you?! john b, we’re being robbed!!”
with his eyes still half-closed with sleepiness, john b came out of his room, rubbing away his leftover tiredness with the heels of his palms
after becoming somewhat coherent, he froze
staring at his lover and his best friend who both returned his gaze expectantly, jj gesturing to you with dramatic, flailing arms
instead of taking the simple route of introductions like a normal person would have,
john b decided to turn back to his room with a loud, “fuck!”
and of course, jj can’t keep his mouth shut to save his life
so it wasn’t long before kie and pope knew about you as well
(let’s be real, it was probably like twenty minutes at most before jj told them)
later that night, john b wouldn’t stop whining about how his friends were going to ‘steal you from him’
which you responded to with an irritated, “would you shut up, i’m trying to sleep, you big baby!”
“but babes—!”
“i said be quiet, john b!”
he ended up being partially correct but you would never tell him that — okay ON TO LIFE WITH THE POGUES
john b actually really enjoyed having you around when he spent time with his friends
his true love and closest companions all in one place? he never felt so loved
of course the pogues were a bit upset at first since john b never mentioned you
but then they realized they had months of teasing to make up for!!
and man, did they let your boyfriend have it!!
“they calling again, lover boy?”
“give ‘em some space to breathe, john b, nobody can survive that long with someone’s tongue down their throat”
“blink twice if he’s holding you hostage—”
“guys!”
meanwhile, you’d be trying your best to hide a smile, feeling john b’s playful glare on you if you ever laughed at their comments
but they’re his best friends so they all knew when to back off
especially since each of them could tell john b became far more at ease whenever you came around
anytime they’d take out the hms pogue for the day, you’d be at the helm while the others laughed together on the casting deck
except john b, of course, who’d stand behind you with an arm on either side of you, helping you with the controls
even though he knew you could do it yourself, he just wants to be near you
he’d lean into you from behind to kiss your cheek every now and then, hands slipping beneath your shirt to caress your skin, before resting his chin on your shoulder with a smile
he liked taking breaks in his hammock more often since the small space all but forced you against his ribcage as he tucked you beneath his arm
you’d lie with your head on his chest, an arm draped over his (usually shirtless) torso and your legs intertwined with his, creating a comfortable mess of tangled limbs
meanwhile, the arm that was wrapped around you would be gently tracing over the expanse of your lower back and hips
and his free hand always moved to stroke the skin of your arm that had found refuge on his exposed chest
occasionally, he’d tilt his head enough to kiss your forehead or temple, usually more than once
like i said before, john b always comes back for seconds when it comes to kissing AS WE HAVE SEEN!!
whenever he finally decides to stop his sweet affections, he’d turn his attention back to the horizon
where the two of you watch the setting sun
waiting for it to rise again so you can share another day together

Strawberry Dress CC!Eret
Summary:  STRAWBERRY DRESS!
Genre: Fluff
Pronouns: He/Him
Eret was wearing the dress. The strawberry dress that he had been practically begged to wear by his fans. Sure, Y/N wouldn't technically wear it and he didn't think his boyfriend typically would to, but Alistair said that it was to deliver the message "Fuck Gender Roles." Y/N had taken his boyfriend to pick up all the P.O. stuff for the rest of the stream, including a Pumpkin. For no reason.
The next day, Y/N moved all the P.O. boxes into Alistair's streaming room and shut the door behind.
Together he and Alistair's other roommates sat down on the couch and opened up Eret's stream just in time.
"Ok, so Mxmtoon is the one who convinced me like, I saw her post, I saw a whole bunch of other people getting it. I was like 'okay, I gotta get it.' I sent a sneak peak to Mxmtoon and I also showed my boyfriend, who might come on later, and they both said I looked great, so I hope you guys think I look great."
Y/N shouted to Eret's room, "If they don't think you look great, then they will face the wrath of me." and he heard a faint echo on the TV.
Eret let out a nervous chuckle and then continued to talk, "So I'm debating whether to put it on now or whether I open these boxes," he indicated to the P.O. box mail that Y/N had helped him carry home, "And put it on after that. I know everyone wants me to do the dress. Let's do a poll, let's do a poll. Let's do a quick poll, right?"
Five minutes passed and a lot of votes were in.
"Oh my God! Okay, everyone is saying now, everyone is saying now. There's 11 thousand votes for now! Not only am I going to be wearing just the strawberry dress, right? I've decided that I'm also going to be doing it with these boots that were sent to my P.O. box a couple of weeks ago. Five inch heels."
"He's going to be so tall!" muttered one of the roommates.
"He didn't even tell me he was wearing them," Y/n said and the three of them had a laugh. Not loud enough that chat could hear, but loud-ish.
"...because," Eret continued, "I think that's going to be absolutely hilarious right? I think it'll look pretty good, don't you think?"
He continued to randomly chat as the votes for now continued to rise.
"TWENTY THOUSAND VOTES FOR NOW? I'm going to need to get dressed, somewhere off the side of the screen. You guys don't want to see me in my underwear. Because I will get banned off Twitch."
Y/N felt his phone ding beside him and turned to see who it was...
He walked just outside Eret's room and waited for the next text. He heard Eret talking to his chat.
"I'm going to look fucking amazing in a little bit. I don't know how to put on a dress, in case you hadn't noticed. I generally don't wear dresses." He laughed a little. "The most advanced my clothing gets is t-shirts and jeans, except one time when I met Y/N's parents and I wore a suit and tie, but I hated that. This is what I wear all the fucking time. So, Y/N will come for entertainment and to help me into this dress, but I will also set something up for you in the background to look at, while I get dressed."
He sent the text to Y/N and he walked in...
"Hey Chat. Just out of curiosity, why am I here? I'm exactly the same as you. I don't wear dresses. My clothing advancements are more caveman than you."
"Alright, can you grab Ted, and I'll grab some heels to put him in." Y/N stifled a chuckle as he grabbed the bear.
***
"Ted's looking kinda good, not gonna lie, then there's you struggling in a dress."
"You were supposed to come in to help me, not mock me!"
"I don't know how to put on a dress, cause like you, I generally don't wear dresses."
"I don't want to break thi- this dress cost me five hundred and fifty dollars by the way!"
"So... we're not eating for the rest of the month??"
"There is soo much glitter! ALL OVER MY ENTIRE ROOM!"
"I would like to eat."
Eret continued to ignore Y/N.
"You guys ready, for the grand reveal?"
"I don't think they are..."
He continued to laugh, Y/N could tell that he was slightly nervous, so he gave Eret a reassuring smile. He smiled back.
"My heart rate is beating a little bit fast. I'm going to be entirely honest. I am a bit nervous!"
He walked on.
"Insert holy bible music!" Y/N laughed.
"I'm fucking killing it dude. I think I'm fucking killing it dude."
"Yep. The bicon is killing it. Can we get #eretdress trending please? Hey, Eret, spin around."
"Spin around? Just like, whoooo! Hehe."
He then walked closer to the camera and spoke to his chat.
"The message here, is Fuck Gender Roles dude! Anyone can wear a dress."
"I'm not wearing a dress," Y/N decides to chime in and Eret chuckles.
"...and whatever the fuck they want. Look at these boots. Five inch heels. I pull them off well."
"You can't get me into Five inch heels."
"This dress cost me five hundred and fifty dollars. This dress, and I'm probably not going to wear it that much."
"Please, dear god, please Eret, wear it the next time we see my parents!"
"But, I'm doing it for you guys, I'm doing it for a sub goal."
Time skip...
"Pose?" Y/N was getting a bit tired. He had no idea how long this stream was going to last, and Eret still had to do a bunch of P.O. box openings.
"Let's do some more poses. What are some more poses? In case you haven't noticed, I am not a model."
"But you are as handsome as one."
"Whoo!"
"Cue the old camera clicking."
"I got to be careful, because if I kick towards the camera, you're going to see up the fucking dress. That's something I've never had to worry about before. Ever!"
"Eret, you're the monarch of bisexuals put on the crown!"
"Let's put on the crown."
"Look at this, I'm vibing. The vibes are immaculate. Let's do another spin, let's do another spin."
For the rest of the stream Y/N stayed silent, watching Eret do some interesting things...
Nearly falling over while spinning
Telling chat to not send him pumpkins, as he moved the pumpkin, causing Y/N to sit in the chair instead.
Spinning a different way
Grabbing the bisexual flag and using it like a spanish bull fighter
And then wearing it with the cape.
T-posing
And then Y/N being a midget and doing a T-pose in front of Eret
Denying the WAP
And then lying about what it meant
Getting to No. 8 on Trending
Making jokes "Oh it's so hot... and not just because me and Y/N are here."
Finally, Eret finished the stream and came over and gave Y/N a massive hug.
"Thank you," he whispered.

Need Help Picking Out What to Write About Next
*Probably pointless of me to do, especially since I don’t know if anyone will even see this. Regardless, I’m going for anyway. Too bad there’s no poll option.*
I’m not a scholar or expert on media creation by any means, but I do have at least a few thoughts on the below ideas. Some I may have already hinted my feelings about in previous posts. Some I may merge together into one piece. Either way I want to eventually do something with all of them, but I suppose we’ll see. So, take your pick I guess. Oh and if you like a topic here, you’re welcome to do something with it! (Excuse the huge amount. I can’t help it.)
1. Theory On: Zuko’s age during his and his father’s agni kai and Fire Nation views
2. My Conflicted Feelings On Mai and Ty Lee
3. Headcanon: Neither Zuko nor Azula were trying to backstab each other in the last turtleduck pond scene.
4. (Despite Its Upsides) My issues with the episode The Beach.
5. Unpopular Opinion: Zuko shows signs and traits of a future (but not necessarily current) IPV/domestic abuser.
6. Unpopular opinion: Sokka has womanizer traits and doesn’t actually feel strongly for any girl he’s ever met, Suki included, save his mother and Katara.
7. Zuko didn’t really care about Mai, Ty Lee or Katara. The only women in his life he never stops thinking about are his mother and Azula.
8. My theory on childhood and adulthood in ATLA overall.
9. The Fire Sibs’ Minds: Who’s Really the “Crazy” One?
10. Azula while capable of understanding resentment and right vs wrong, likely wouldn’t view Ozai’s treatment of her or Zuko as unacceptable.
11. The Fandom’s Unchanging View and Characterization of Ozai Is Boring!
12. What If: Ursa Was the Toxic Spouse?
13. Imagining Canon or Non-Canon ATLA Weddings
14. Who’s More Sexist: Iroh, Ozai or Zuko?
15. Headcanon: Azula Is a Highly Feminine Character...Who Was Likely Groomed Into It.
16. Unpopular Opinion: Azula Does Not Lack “Motherly” Traits. She Just Has a Different Understanding of Motherhood than Katara and Related Do.
17. Both Azula and Zuko Need Serious Mental/Emotional/Spiritual Healing.
18. The fact that no sexist customs were implied to have been considered for change in the original series even after the GAang were confronted with them, is very irresponsible pro-macho writing.
19. Theory: The Dragons that Both Iroh and Zuko Met, Taught Them Nothing.
20. Unpopular Opinion: Ursa’s Parenting MO Was Actually Somewhat Harmful to Zuko in the Long Run
21. Theory: Zuko Was Probably a Far Worse Behaved Child than Zuko Alone Showed Us.
22. You Can Have “Abusive” (By Western Standards) Traits and Love Your Child, Even Be Kind to Them at Times.
23. What If: Ozai Lied to Zuko About What Happened On the Night of Azulon’s Death?
24. Theory: Ursa May Have Wanted Azula to Act Wife-Like Towards Zuko.
25. Azula Was Not Trying to Seduce Zuko in The Awakening (“The Bedroom Scene”)!
26. Draft: How Race Was Utilized for ATLA. I don’t know how many want to read my thoughts on this but I’m of the opinion that the characters are exactly what we personally want to view them as, all the above options, and none of the above.
27. Patriarchal Gender Attitudes Among Shippers
28. Your private thoughts are above criticism. The things you share are not, fanwork for your ships included.
29. Aang would not have been automatically going against his pacifist beliefs if he killed Ozai.
30. The different ways that the Fire Family’s Arc could have ended for (imo) a better story.
31. A theoretical season 4 & beyond could have had literal world building in it.
32. Headcanon/Theory: Azula knew about the blue spirit and who the person behind the mask was.
33. If Azula wanted, after the war ended, she could have just gone back to the Earth Kingdom and taken over again and done an actually good job ruling it.
34. Zuko is dim, but not clueless. Malicious but not diabolical.
35. Headcanon: Mai probably got fed up with Zuko’s self-centered, naive and destructive antics within the first two weeks of his reign and dumped him again.
36. Ty Lee probably realized while on Kyoshi Island what her real problem was, found a way to move past it and cope and then left the Kyoshi Warriors to come back to the Fire Nation rather quickly.
37. None of the Fire Teens except Azula are capable of staying loyal to a person/group/cause for more than a short while.
38. A character’s sexism/toxicity in-universe is likely often just a writer adding in their own unconscious biases. This means that much of the awful behavior we see in-show, especially by characters like Sokka and Zuko, was never meant to be resolved in all probability.

WOMEN today are up against something bigger than even the suffragettes faced. It's like saying, we'll solve the problem of men playing women's rugby when a woman's neck gets broken ...
We are teaching children that what makes you a boy or a girl is your performance of stereotypes. I’m old enough to remember when people said a girl can do anything she likes. Now they say, ‘If you do those sorts of things that makes you a boy.’ It’s the most regressive thing I’ve seen in my lifetime.” Schools are eliminating the one distinction that can matter – sex – while reintroducing archaic social differences that do not. We are “dissolving ‘male’ and ‘female’ and replacing them with ‘manly essence’ and ‘womanly essence’ for everybody.
When the Labour government introduced the Gender Recognition Act in 2004, few involved in its implementation expected that 17 years later Britain’s leading medical journal, the Lancet, would refer to women as “bodies with vaginas” in an effort to be gender inclusive.
That phrase is the latest in a string of new and unusual terms (“people who menstruate”, “birthing people”, “bleeders”) used to describe women. This change in language is the product of a rapid shift in Western culture towards the idea that biological reality is a social construct.
Helen Joyce, 53 – a long-time journalist at the Economist and the author of Trans, a Sunday Times bestseller that initially struggled to find a publisher – finds that idea inaccurate and dehumanising, as well as a threat to the rights of women. The editor of the Lancet has since conceded that the journal’s language “dehumanised and marginalised women”. Joyce’s book takes a contrasting view on a contentious topic to another recent bestseller written by Shon Faye.
Joyce, who has a PhD in mathematics and once ran the Royal Statistical Society’s quarterly magazine, told me that she believes society has largely shed unwarranted social distinctions between men and women, but that some “irreducible distinctions to do with reproductive biology” remain. “If you ignore them, and if you do not allow women to have single-sex spaces in certain situations where they are vulnerable, women can’t take full part in public life.”
“In certain circumstances,” she added, “women need to be able to exclude all males. Those circumstances are when women are naked, or sleeping, or where women are unable to move away, as in prison. In sports, where the physical differences are just irreducible, female people need to be able to keep all male people out. They need not to be called bigots when they do that.”
Joyce argues her position is “exactly that of British law”. Under the 2010 Equality Act, exceptions are permitted to the principle of not discriminating on the basis of sex. It is, for instance, legal to require changing room attendants to be of a certain sex or to make communal accommodation single sex.
The act also makes exceptions for staff employed in rape crisis centres, Joyce points out. The act states: “A counsellor working with victims of rape might have to be a woman and not a transsexual person, even if she has a Gender Recognition Certificate [legal recognition of their acquired gender], in order to avoid causing [victims] further distress.”
The Equality Act does not give an exhaustive list of when exceptions are permissible. It relies on society to navigate these issues peaceably. But women who have stated and supported the principles established in the act have often been demonised for doing so.
The vilification of “gender-critical” women in the public eye, from the Labour MP Rosie Duffield to the author JK Rowling, appears to jar not just with the law at present but with public opinion at large. Polling by YouGov last June suggests the public is strongly supportive of existing law on changing one’s gender. To receive a Gender Recognition Certificate it is necessary to receive a medical diagnosis of gender dysphoria (which 63 per cent of people support), and to have lived in one’s acquired gender for two years (which 61 per cent support); 16 per cent oppose both.
But society has shifted, with some schools, hospitals and prisons adopting a system of self-ID through which individuals can change their sex by declaration, dispensing with these requirements. Yet according to the data, those who support self-ID are social outliers.
“There’s no support for self-ID” to be introduced as policy, Joyce told me. But are the few who support it right? And why is the right to pick one’s own gender a threat to anyone else? For Joyce, the way these questions are phrased obscures the key issue. “If you say, ‘Do you think everyone should be recognised as the gender they say they are?’, people will say yes,” said Joyce, including herself among them. The problem, she believes, is when gender identity is used to eliminate the reality of sex, whether in rape cases or in sports.
The Equality Act is clear that sports can be restricted to those who are born women if it is necessary to ensure “fair competition” or “the safety of competitors”.
Joyce, who has five siblings who have played international cricket for Ireland, cites the example set by World Rugby, which has refused to allow those who are born male into the women’s game. “World Rugby did its research and worked out it is going to get a woman’s neck broken, and it is going to be liable, unless [it keeps] all males out,” Joyce said. Other sporting bodies are taking a different approach, despite public support for single-sex competitions.
However, the issue that perhaps most concerns Joyce is the prescription of “puberty blockers” for children who express a wish to change gender. Joyce’s believes this to be “a massive medical scandal”. “That is going to become clear in the coming years,” she said. “Egas Moniz, who invented the lobotomy, got a Nobel Prize for it in 1949. We’re doing it again. We [humans] are not the sort of machine that you can just switch off and pick up again a couple of years later.
“The people who are asleep at the wheel here are doctors,” Joyce said. “In our legal system, the answer to this [negligence] is you’ll get sued if you get it wrong. But I don’t like that. That’s like saying we’ll solve the problem in rugby when some woman breaks her neck.”
Joyce thinks all children are being poorly educated about gender identity. “We are teaching children that what makes you a boy or a girl is your performance of stereotypes. I’m old enough to remember when people said a girl can do anything she likes. Now they say, ‘If you do those sorts of things that makes you a boy.’ It’s the most regressive thing I’ve seen in my lifetime.” For Joyce, schools are at risk of eliminating the one distinction that can matter – sex – while reintroducing archaic social differences that do not. We are “dissolving ‘male’ and ‘female’ and replacing them with ‘manly essence’ and ‘womanly essence’ for everybody”, she argues.
How can this divisive debate be resolved? By 46 per cent to 12 per cent, the public thinks a “climate of fear” is preventing productive discussion of this complex issue, according to recent polling by Redfield & Wilton. Joyce thinks “this is a bigger fight for women” than the suffragettes faced. Does she fear she is on the wrong side of history? “So what if, in 30 or 40 years, everybody agrees it’s fine to put rapists who murder their wives in women’s prisons?” she told me trenchantly. “They’re still wrong.”

My Journey
Hey everyone, As you will likely know by now I am a trans woman and I live in the UK where lately trans people have been under significant scrutiny by the press, government and groups claiming to be acting in the name of feminism.
One of the arguments used when not directly attacking trans people, is that the medical institutions that help us in the UK fast track us through transition, even the NHS and I know so many trans people in this country that I can say without a shadow of a doubt this is not true. This includes a significant number who have been under the care of Tavistock and Portman, the under 18s service which was recently banned from giving its patients hormone blockers without the approval of the courts.
But anyway, I’m gonna share my story and how lengthy the process actually is and I will warn ahead of time this deals with suicidal ideation, gatekeeping, mental health, etc. So proceed with caution. This will also be a long post.
September/October 2008
I can’t remember which month but it was just before my 16th birthday, my Dad encouraged me to go to my GP regarding my gender dysphoria. I lived with my transphobic Mum at the time and had to go behind her back which was terrifying to say the least. I saw a doctor called Dr Moulsher and explained everything I was going through and his response was, “I don’t think the NHS funds any of this.” He was very ignorant on trans issues but it actually fortunately worked out in my favour, I got lucky, I know, but he just wanted me off of his hands.
I explained in Sheffield there was a GIC (gender identity clinic) operated by the NHS known as Porterbrook and he was just like, “Oh right. Well I’m more than happy to refer you but they likely won’t see you till you are 18.”
He asked me some questions, wrote up a detailed report and put in the referral to “get the ball rolling” as he worded it.
I was terrified at the time of the referral letter going to my home address though and he was like, “Well it needs to be sent somewhere.” So he agreed to send it to my grandparents address.
Later That Year
About a month or so later a letter arrived at my grandparents saying I had been accepted onto Porterbrook’s waiting list, explaining it is substantially long, that they wouldn’t be able to see me till I’m 18, etc. Your typical boiler plate stuff. Also as I understand it they don’t typical accept referrals for under 18s so I got lucky there. I remember getting so excited when I got my letter though, that I took it into school to show all of my friends.
Back then it was a requirement that I have a mental health assessment while on the waiting list though. So I returned to Dr Moulsher who I had become rather comfortable with and had made him my regular GP. He made a referral to the local mental health clinic and that was that.
January/February 2009
A letter came in the post asking me to ring to book at appointment at the local mental health clinic. I couldn’t ring from home cos my Mum would overhear and she was spying on me a lot at the time due to really being against the fact I’m trans. My school - which was a Catholic school shockingly enough - had already decided my home environment had become so toxic that I needed removing from my Mum’s care. They would be a process that wouldn’t be completed till June 2010 but yeah, it had got that bad. Anyway, I ended up asking the school receptionist if I could ring on their phone to book the appointment. That was booked for February.
The appointment was a weird one to say the least. The doctor asked me a quite a lot of questions but these are the ones that stuck out.
So with this first one, I am going to preface with that as far as I am aware, I am white and of white ancestry for all the generations I know of. However I do have remarkably curly hair that left to its own devices grows into an afro (or at least what looks like an afro). So the first set of questions that stood out; Dr: What’s your mother’s ethnicity? Me: White British.
Dr: Sorry, did you say Afro-Caribbean? Me: No. White British. Dr: And your father’s ethnicity? Me: White British. Dr: Sorry, was that Afro-Caribbean?
Me: Nope. White British.
Not really sure how you can get Afro-Caribbean and White British verbally mixed up but he seemed very adamant at least one of my parents must be Afro-Caribbean.
He then later goes;
Dr: Do you have a partner?
Me: Yes.
Dr: Are they male or female?
Me: I have a girlfriend.
Dr: Then you can’t be trans. You can’t be trans if you like girls.
Me: What about lesbians?
Dr: That’s beside the point.
Shockingly, in the end he agreed with my GP’s assessment that I am trans but Jesus, as you can probably guess from above that mental health assessment was a minefield of weird.
24th October 2010
In June 2010, I was finally removed from my Mum’s care at the age of 17 and placed in supported housing and on the date about I got a phone call from Porterbrook GIC on my 18th birthday no less, inviting me to my first appointment in November.
22nd June 2012
I legally changed my name and title by deed poll to Miss Lily Nichole Robinson.
22nd October 2012
I’d now been at Porterbrook for almost 2 years, had lots of appointments, most of which repeated the same mundane questions and it had started to feel like nothing was ever going to change. I had become increasingly depressed and suicidal and I had decided that if nothing had changed by my 20th birthday I was going to take my own life. I did not want to enter my 20s still living my life as a man. I didn’t want to lose another year of my life.
I remember this date exactly, not because I marked it in my calendar but because Taylor Swift’s album “Red” came out that morning. Despite everything, I was dancing along to 22 that morning while ironing some clothes, before I headed off to Porterbrook. I didn’t really feel like it mattered, I was going to kill myself 2 days later but I figured what is the harm in going through the motions one last time.
I sat there, trying not to let on how miserable I was, didn’t see the point in letting them in on how I was feeling. Nothing would change.
I remember being asked some really gross questions that day though. I got asked if I masturbated and I just declined answering. When challenged I was just like, “I maybe trans and I may hate that equipment but I’m a human being. I still have sexual urges. What do you think the answer is.”
The appointment though, shockingly ended with them telling me they were going to put me on hormones. I was gonna get my estrogen. It was enough to give me a reason to keep on living.
But just bare in mind how close I got to taking my own life there. 2 days away from my 20th birthday. Also it took almost 2 years for them to say they’d be placing me on hormones.
January/February 2013
In January, I had my bloods taken to get a baseline and I was told about options for storing gametes. I did decide to consider this but in the end it ended up being too costly for me at the time. So in February, on a day it was snowing I got the train and was adamant the snow was not stopping me getting to Porterbrook and I had an appointment with the head clinician, Dr Kevin Wylie.
He oddly listed all the testosterone blocker options to me with side effects and risks and all the estradiol options to me with side effects and risks. In the end I chose Cyproterone Acetate for my blocker and Estradiol Valerate pills for my hormones.
50mg per day of Cyproterone Acetate and 2mg per day of Estradiol Valerate. I was ecstatic and took them both the second I got on the bus 😊
May 2013
Slightly unrelated to the medical process but just 3 months in and my mental health had improved drastically. Since I was removed from my Mum’s care I had become a bit of a shut in. I didn’t have any friends, my anxiety was through the roof, I was insanely depressed and I just avoided everything and everyone, only leaving my house for work. Hormones changed that though, I just felt so much happier and I also remember that Spring just being like really vividly aware of the colours of all the flowers and plant life for like the first time in my life. I actually wanted to go out and social and make friends and there was a local LGBT youth group for 18-25 year olds that I decided to join and I started to have and social life again. And by September 2013 I started university and soon came getting drunk with the LGBT Liberation Group at the various socials. I was happy and finally starting to feel like myself.
2013 - 2016
Porterbrook became very gatekeepy in the final stage of my transition. They didn’t like how I dressed. Apparently girls wear dresses while I preferred jeans, t-shirts and hoodies. I didn’t like wearing make-up. I wasn’t the 1950s image of a girl that Porterbrook seemed to expect. I actually have a trans guy friend who around the same time had been told he couldn’t start on testosterone unless he cut his hair short, cos apparently men don’t have long hair.
It pissed me off to no end because I transitioned to be me, not to be a performance of how the world thinks a woman should be. I refused to give ground on how I dressed, etc but in the end I ended up telling a few white lies to get past the final level of gatekeeping. And I can’t remember most of this dates as they happened while uni was going on in the background. But eventually Porterbrook gave me the go ahead for surgery, about 6 months later I had my second opinion and then I was referred for surgery.
January 2016
I had my pre-surgery assessment at Nuffield Health Brighton and I was told if I wanted I could have my surgery as early as March 2016. Due to university though, this proved a bit too soon and the date was pushed to June 2016.
22nd June 2016
The day before the EU Referendum I had my gender reassignment surgery. I don’t actually remember feeling all that ecstatic after the surgery. There was lot of pain and I was on a lot of drugs. But a friend, Rosie, who I hadn’t seen since high school lived in the area and she was at my bedside when I woke up. I was in hospital a week and had 3 months of recovery ahead of me.
Post Surgery 2016
Having surgery had been great, things finally felt right. My entire body felt right for once but I had tunnel visioned my life towards surgery and put a lot of stuff on the back burner and had some major post-surgery depression so I sort counselling at my university to get through these issues and once that was sorted I felt a lot more stable in myself and like nothing was in my way.
October 2016
I put in my application for my Gender Recognition Certificate only for it to get rejected because they did not like the assessment from Porterbrook GIC and Dr Wylie who wrote the assessments was off on leave. Me and a nurse had to sit down and look through my medical record to find a medical report they might accept and we finally found one. However they wouldn’t say what was wrong with the original which made Porterbrook kinda stumped on what was wrong.
February 2017
I received my Gender Recognition Certificate and my new Birth Certificate.
March 2017
I was discharged from Porterbrook GIC.
For those who are under the impression gender reassignment is a fast process it isn’t, it took me 8 years and 6 months start to finish, from initially seeing my GP at 15 to finally being discharged from Porterbrook GIC at the age of 24. It is a long ass process with a shit tone of gatekeeping and honestly going through the process as it stands isn’t something I’d wish on my worst enemy. When I was discharged from Porterbrook GIC in 2017 my first thought was, “I’m free. I’m finally in control of my own life.” As up until that point, I felt I had no autonomy and that my life and happiness was in the hands of doctors. It was miserable.
But there it is.

tww teacher au for the ask game!
combining this with another ask from anon: tww academia au!! bc i was gonna make this college anyways bc most of them are too pretentious to work at a high school even if they are passionate about education
jed was the chair of the economics department for a really long time (including when some of the staff went to whatever made up school i'm having them be a part of) and would be like. kind of a polarizing figure on ratemyprofessors. his classes are generally engaging and you learn a lot, but the lecture is on externalities and he's been talking about national parks for the last twenty minutes. he also tends to run late, and his class isn't easy, but he has tons of office hours and writes great recommendations. he would generally teach like a freshman/intro course for fun (maybe intro to macro?) and then one or two advanced classes. for like, some structure, these days he's probably the president of the college/uni, but maybe he just. let's himself teach a random class every semester anyways, because he misses it. (if he occasionally hijacks the american studies or theology department, who is gonna stop him? usually its like. history of the global economy or something tho)
leo is probably like the provost or dean or whatever in charge of faculty or something. if he teaches, which he probably has at some point but idk if he still does, it's probably some foreign affairs class. like international security or something.
abbey is probably the chair of their pre-med program or like the director of their (science) research programs. there's probably someone calling it nepotism at some point, until everyone points out she's had this job since before jed was president, so. checkmate. she'll rotate between a few different classes, probably like. an anatomy at some point, but for some reason i really like the concept of her doing some molec cell or biochem (def more on the cellular side of things as opposed to ecology, and also less genetics, so. but maybe more public health). a lot of students are kind of afraid of her but tons of people apply to work in her lab, and she really loves her lab students so much.
cj could do like. media/publicity for the school, like that's a job she could easily have, but i kinda want them all to actually. teach, so she probably teaches some form of media studies/communication studies/journalism. students love her, because she's funny and smart and energetic in class, and compassionate about extensions and whatever. she takes her job super seriously, and wants to give everyone the best chance she can. she'll like, practice in her lecture hall ahead of time.
toby i can't decide on. you would think some form of writing or communications class, but i want to give him like. a bunch of classes cross listed as like sociology and political science and philosophy and american studies. like he'll teach like political ethics, or classes about civil rights, or literature about specific political movements. he assigns like no tests and all papers and grades them like. harshly, but the students who really come in and try, he loves and will work with. realistically he should probably be chair of a department but idk which one.
josh teaches a bunch of political classes and his students all make fun of him, thank you. like he'll teach classes on legislative processes, and he's like not a bad professor and clearly knows what he's talking about, but he also comes in with coffee stains and messy hair and his chair breaks weekly and he and his projector are in the middle of an ongoing war that they all know he isn't winning. he (like cj) really wants his students to like him, and they mostly do. his lectures can also get a little tangenty, but that's okay. he should also probably head a department, i guess political science, but rip to all those other profs.
donna ta-ed for josh at some point when he was still really new at it, and was probably going to do political science but also maybe english, who knows, in grad school, but ended up spending a summer working in the admissions office and actually really loved it, so she did admissions for a while until she got too depressed rejecting students, and now she does some form of academic counselling and everyone loves her, and she absolutely will fight professors on behalf of students
sam also does some niche cross listed humanities classes, like he'll do literature & law, or american lit and culture. he does a ton of pre law advising also!
amy! amy is probably chair of the gender/sexuality/women's studies department bc i say so. she mostly teaches more gov focused classes, though, like women and the law, or women in leadership, or sexuality in america. she's also kind of harsh on grading, but she's super good at helping students make connections for their careers and shit.
joey teaches polling/stats and political polling classes thank you.
half of them are known for writing those papers that are clearly part of a huge academic disagreement where they're just criticizing other people's papers. usually at different schools, but not always. interdepartmental/humanities prof gatherings are fun!
#tww#asks#answered#claudiasjeancregg#anonymous#there's other characters and other thoughts to be had but gsws amy is everything to me#anyways i looked through my schools entire course catalogue for this and it shows. made me realize how many classes i wanna take but cant#also my school doesnt call it political science and i kept having to change it here#but yeah! i like the thought of charlie as jeds ta also but idk how to make that work if jed is the president#hmmm maybe santos is the provost. or becomes pres to led jed go back to teaching more full time? will and elsie both teach writing classes#kate does foreign policy. ainsley maybe also does pre law stuff or if they have a law school works there#i realize they could also have a med school that abbey could run lol#none of the bartlet daughters go to this school much to jeds dismay#lord marbury is an adjunct prof who no one can stand#ill stop now#also i didnt do character tags bc too many#oh wait maybe annabeth doesnt teach and actually does university comms and as part of like a marketting campaign is trying to do cool#profiles on some of the profs and they mostly cant stand it but yk#ANDY how did i not do andy!! andy would. also teach some kind of foreign affairs/diplomacy thing or like legislative processes. maybe#josh can take a class on the executive instead or something. ugh or andy could do something with their hypothetical law school#she's on like ethics judicial and foreign affairs in canon iirc so. idk!#cj probably also had some overlap and does like women in the media at some point just for fun

Men Are Tweeting #BisexualMenExist. Here's Why That Matters.
No, bisexual men are not just "going through a phase."
By Brittany Wong
02/25/2020 08:02pm EST
Bisexual men exist. They don’t have to pick a side. They’re not sexually confused. And they’re bi even if they are currently seeing a woman.
Those were just some of the messages expressed by bi men Tuesday on Twitter as #BisexualMenExist trended throughout the day.
Some used the viral hashtag as an opportunity to come out:
Tumblr media
Others jumped on the chance to explain how bi men tend to get dismissed by the LGBTQ+ community and straight people alike:
Tumblr media
The hashtag even got a little love from Ryan Russell, an NFL veteran who previously played for the Dallas Cowboys and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and came out as bisexual in August in a powerful essay for ESPN.
Tumblr media
The powerful hashtag was created by Vaneet Mehta, a software engineer and LGBTQ+ rights advocate who’s grown tired of seeing biphobia on Twitter.
“The biphobia towards bi men recently has been so shit,” Mehta said in his original tweet. “So I’m bringing back #BisexualMenExist for some much needed positivity! Drop a pic below with the hashtag and retweet this thread!”
Mehta told HuffPost that he tweeted in response to a Twitter conversation that recently broke out over a conversation on Netflix’s new reality show, “Love Is Blind.” In one episode, a couple gets into a tumultuous fight after the man in the relationship, Carlton, comes out as bisexual to his fiancée, Diamond. Diamond casts doubt on Carlton’s sexuality, and many on Twitter took her side.
“One of the main things I saw on Twitter was a poll trending asking women whether they would ever date a bi man,” Mehta said. “Most people voted no. I also saw quite a few comments insinuating that bi men were basically gay and just lying to themselves. It was upsetting.”
Tumblr media
Mehta said the conversations on Twitter highlight how many people still believe that bisexuality doesn’t really exist or that it’s “just a phase” ― an unfair assumption that leads to bisexual erasure, or bi invisibility, as it’s also known.
“These stereotypes about bisexual people erase my identity entirely, telling me I’m not valid,” he said. “And it means people feel that they couldn’t date me because I’m only going to come out or I’m still in the closet.”
Kyle Payen, a college student from Brooklyn, New York, was one of the many men who chimed in on #BisexualMenExist.
Tumblr media
Growing up in Spring Valley, New York, a predominantly black and Latino community undergoing gentrification, Payen said many of his neighbors were casual about their homophobia and biphobia.
“Growing up, I always heard the people in my community call gay people ‘faggots’ or ‘masisi,’ as my fellow Haitians would say,” Payen told HuffPost. “Specifically on bisexual folk, I remember people saying that bisexual men were ‘just gay men still in the closet.’”
When he finally came out as bisexual, his girlfriend at the time told him that she questioned “if she was enough” for him.
“I was able to help her understand that her assumption was rooted in biphobia and ignorance and eventually everything worked out,” he said. “I don’t think people are disposable. I’m willing to help re-educate people and build community with them.”
Steve Faciana is an aspiring filmmaker from Chicago who also added his voice to the hashtag. He said bi erasure plays out when friends and family insist you can’t be bi because you’ve never dated a man (or a woman, if you’re a bisexual woman).
Tumblr media
“All my friends and family were supportive, but I don’t think any of them really took me seriously until I actually dated a guy,” he said.
“My biggest pet peeve about how people look at bisexual people is how they feel if they date the same gender, they’re gay,” he added. “If they date the opposite gender, they’re straight. We’re always bisexual, we are always attracted to both genders. People just don’t like to view it that way.”
Dan R., a 25-year-old artist from New York City, said he felt emboldened when he woke up Tuesday morning and saw #BisexualMenExist trending. His personal experiences highlight another way biphobia plays out: People often believe that bisexuals just want to have sex with everyone and are promiscuous.
“Even an ex-partner’s parent insisting I was going to cheat on them because I’m bi,” he told HuffPost. “This ignorant mentality even bled into the viral hashtag and the comments on my photos.” (There’s a lot of support underneath Dan’s tweet, but there’s negativity, too ― including one reply from an older man who told Dan that even if he comes out, don’t expect “real men like me to respect you.” It’s that kind of hostility that underscores the need for the hashtag.)
Tumblr media
There’s more bisexuals out there than the hashtag’s trolls probably realize. Bisexuals make up the largest share of the LGBTQ+ population in the U.S. In 2016, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that 5.5% of women and 2% of men said they were bisexual.
While erasure is clearly a problem, viral campaigns like this and visibility wins ― when TV and movies feature prominent bi characters, or when Russell, the NFL player, came out a few months ago ― make it easier for others to live an open life.
William Tracy, a sci-fi and fantasy author, is among them. He came out last year after being married to a woman for 15 years.
Tumblr media
“I’m married to a woman, so I pass ― and did pass ― as straight for many years,” he said. “It took confidence in myself to admit the full scope of my sexuality.”
Sometimes, seeing viral campaigns like #BisexualMenExist is just the push you need, Tracy said.
“I’ve had such a welcoming response from the community, that’s why I wanted to add my voice,” he said. “Maybe if I had known more about bisexuality before, I would have come out sooner.”

My thoughts on the detransition wave
This post is going to be so long it needs subheadings
Could this happen to me??
About a decade ago there was a huge upswing of mostly afab people transitioning, and now a lot of them seem to be detransitioning. The detrans communities on here, twitter and reddit are growing quick. And these aren't just people who just transitioned socially before changing their minds, a lot of them were on T or even had surgery. And you'd think that to embark on something as massive as medical transition you'd be certain that it's what you need. So it's just really alarming to read about, because I've always been certain in my transition, but am I just going to wake up one day and start to feel like this was all a big mistake like these people did? When I learnt about this wave of people detransitioning it really scared me.
I was scared to really look at what these people are saying, fearing that I'd poison my own mind or certainty. Ideas are contagious. But I'm very glad I did, because I've seen I don't have much in common with these people. Most of them had doubts about their medical transition, and/or thought that transitioning would make them happy or solve some problem they had in their lives, and neither of these apply to me. Not to mention that the thought of ever going back horrifies me. So I'm relieved with what I found having looked into the detrans rabbit hole on here, twitter and reddit.
I kinda saw it coming
Back in the day I thought that the whole Tumblr gender ideology was questionable to say the least because I suspected a lot of these people "trying on genders" would ultimately grow out of it, which guess means detransitioning. And I objected to it because I thought it made us "proper trans" people look like a joke, like it's just a phase and not something to be taken seriously etc. I was a selfish 16 year old back then, and I don't feel that way any more. People can call themselves whatever they want, I'll call them whatever they want; I don't care.
But it turns out that it was actually harmful, in that it seems to have sucked in a lot of unhappy gender non-conforming teenagers who latched onto the happiness they saw people experiencing from transitioning, and thought it would make them happy, too. When actually it wasn't right for them, and now they're picking up the pieces while trying to reverse mostly permanent medical interventions.
These people used to piss me off, but I can't even imagine the shame and embarrassment of having to admit that your whole transition was a mistake.. and the pain of trying to reverse it. I just feel terrible for these people now.
I disagree with the court's ruling
Here's a link to a BBC article
TL;DR: no one is going to be prescribed puberty blockers any more. If you're 16+ you technically can with permission from the court, except that in practice it'll take more than 2 years before you get a verdict, at which point you'll be old enough for actual HRT at an adult clinic anyway. So no blockers for anyone any more.
Imo this is unlikely to make a difference to the number of people who detransition. If you're fixated on transition fixing your problems and making you happy, you're not going to realise that it's not for you until after you've started. Because how could you know until you've tried? That's the trend I've noticed from most detransition stories I've read anyway.
Also, having just watched the claimant's news night interview, she seems to think that the court will now be responsible for the "are you really trans" due diligence that should have been done by the clinic, in the case of those who are 16+ and requesting blockers. Which seems to be placing that responsibility in completely the wrong place to me. Why would a judge know more about that than specialist medical clinicians? What's the point in shifting that responsibility?
Conversely, if transition is what you need, and you're lucky enough to find yourself being treated by a GIC while you're still a teenager and not all of puberty's irreversible damage has happened to you yet… blockers could just save you so much anguish. I often fantasise about having transitioned early in puberty. No need for top surgery, no awful wide hips I can never ever change. It breaks my heart that this option isn't available at all any more and it just seems monstrously unfair, I'm actually quite angry about it, it seems so unjust.
But I don't entirely disagree with the claimant
She (Kiera Bell, the claimant) put out a press release which I saw in the form of a screenshot on twitter that I now can't find, and she's got a page with a lot of info here. Across these two sources she said that society's misogyny, general disapproval of gender non-conformity, along with a lot of teenage girls having a bad time with puberty/adolescence contributes to so many of them wanting to transition, and I completely agree with her there. The massive upswing in afab young people attending the tavistock must have been caused by something, and those factors look very likely to me. It also coincided with the advent of proper smart phones & social media, and I'm sure that's another big contributing factor. I think female puberty being awful (I am biased in this opinion tbf) combined with misogyny in society explains why this uptick has been mostly afab people specifically.
Although I do a bit
On a crowd justice page linked above she also criticised the tavistock's "affirmative" approach. Meaning that if you get there and explain that you're trans, you're believed, and the clinicians take steps to help you transition. That was very much my experience there, but it's not as if I and my parents weren't interrogated about my history. (Tbh I think my experience was an edge case given how old I was when I got there (17.5, old enough to be referred to an adult clinic), the fact that I had no "associated difficulties", and that I'd been socially transitioned for 10 months).
I don't know what else they would have done? Saying to my face "we don't believe you're trans and shouldn't medically transition" would have seemed absurd and unreasonable, given that I'd been living as male for 10 months, including changing my name by deed poll. There wasn't a lot more they could expect me to do to "prove" it.
But many cases are much more complex than mine, a lot of trans youth have mental health issues, or trauma in their pasts. In those cases you'd hope the clinicians would go a lot deeper, and spend more time analysing all the other problems you have in your life, to sufficiently ensure that they're not the root cause of the desire to transition. One person who features in this podcast I listened to a while ago was transitioning to try and escape the trauma of being sexually abused as a child, for example. If you've got a complex case you wouldn't diagnose them in a single appointment, surely? I'm not a doctor obviously, but that seems pretty obvious to me. You'd need to provide therapy more broad than just issues relating to gender. I just don't know, but the fact that people are detransitioning must mean that that's the case, that in some cases insufficient due diligence is done into people's histories. So I don't agree with Kiera that the affirmative approach should be abandoned, but it seems like it should be used with more caution than it has been up until now.
So in conclusion:
The existence of a lot of people detransitioning freaked me out, but I've concluded I'm not one of them
I low key saw this coming
I feel bad for people who are detransitioning
I think the high court's ruling to ban puberty blockers is hugely unfair
I agree with Kiera Bell that society's misogyny and bullying of people who are gender non-conforming causes young women to transition when they shouldn't
I disagree with her that the GIC's "affirmative" approach should be abandoned, but I do think it should be used more cautiously
If you made it to the end of this post, thanks very much for reading it. I just had a lot of thoughts about this and wanted to get it all off my chest.

LGBTQ+ Disabled Characters Showdown Round 1, Wave 1, Poll 8
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A character being totally canon LGBTQ+ and disabled was not required to be in this competition. Please check qualifications and propaganda before asking why a character is included.
Check out the other polls in this wave here.
Renarin Kholin- The Stormlight Archive
Qualifications:
Renarin is canonically autistic and gay (or at least MLM).
He's canonically autistic + has epilepsy, and he's been confirmed to be gay and have a crush on a male character (which will.be explored more in future books)
Canonically gay as confirmed by word-of-god; canonically autistic and has anxiety.
Renarin is canonically autistic and gay.
Propaganda:
Renarin is one of few characters in epic fantasy literature who's canonically neurodivergent or queer - it's rare enough to just see one of those things! He is also the best, just all around. He is so reckless and has such a strong moral compass: like he ran to help fight a giant crab monster with no weapons, no armor, and no training; he jumped into a 4vs1 duel to help his brother, with no armor, no training, and a sword that deals him psychic damage anytime he holds it.
He's autistic and gay; disability is a big part of his story; he's so much of an outcast that he was the first person to join his world's extra-marginalized order of sinister-but-not-evil magic users; and while he's quiet and self-contained, he's full to the brim with suppressed rage. Sidelined second son and quasi-cursed prophet. I fully believe he can take this tournament by storm.
Renarin is autistic, epileptic, and queer as the day is long. As a kid, he struggled to win his dad's approval due to his inability to fight as well as his abled brother -- but these days his dad's wised up and realized that Renarin actually kicks ass. When Renarin gets magic powers, he isn't "cured"; he's still epileptic, he's still autistic, and he still has a crush on the strapping young alien lad in his squad. Not only does he break down class barriers by hanging out with ex-slave humans (he's the prince of a major kingdom), he breaks racial barriers by dating an alien who's entire race was, until recently, enslaved by humans. Overall, he's a complete badass who is getting more confident, more appreciated, and more gay with every book in the series.
Loam Arnault-Entropic Float
Qualifications:
she canonically has arthritis and chronic fatigue, and is canonically bisexual and omnigender (using all pronouns)
They're chronically disabled (dont remember their condition :() omnigender, and pan!
i don’t remember what it is (or if that’s even said) but his disability gives her trouble walking some days and on others makes it so they can’t get out of bed. bisexual &nonbinary omnigender!
Canonically disabled, nonbinary omnigender and bisexual
Propaganda:
listen. i love him. oh my god i love aer. their disability and queerness are both central to the narrative. due to it being disabled, she is not taken seriously where he comes from. xe has given up on insisting on its gender being respected - every time thon tries, its taken as a sign he is having a bad day symptoms wise, which in turn is taken as though she has never grown up past being eight years old. through the game proper, it hides hir disability most of the time. to ask for help is to let someone know. and throughout their entire life, everyone who knew has treated him as stupid - perhaps not always, but everyone has. this is why she doesnt really want to get out of the anomaly; this is the first time fae has had friends who dont know, and therefore dont have "a reason" to infantilize it. star hides everything behind a chipper demeanour. well, that demeanour isnt entirely a lie; she is really silly and pleasant - one of my favourite things he says in the entire game is "isnt blue super bad for computers? like blue balls of death or something?". upon being asked "where do you come from that computers have balls?", they respond "well, how do they reproduce if they dont?" in conclusion. Loam my beloved.
silly guy... oh he's a lil bit fucked up actually
:3
I’m disabled and queer and Loam makes me feel so seen. He’s an incredible character, I love her dearly, I need everyone to understand how incredible they are.
The qualifications and propaganda correspond, @prinxe-with-no-crown is the first submitter @mythologeekwriter is the fourth and there were two others.

Should Unvaccinated People Be Put on No-Fly List?
In June 2021, the U.S. National Security Council released a new “National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism” document.1 While it’s being largely framed as a tool to fight White supremacy and political extremism, the definition of what constitutes a “domestic terrorist” is incredibly vague and based on ideologies rather than specific behaviors.
It’s not difficult to imagine this policy being used to silence political opposition simply by labeling anyone who disagrees with the government as a domestic terrorist and charging them with a hate crime.
We’re already seeing signs suggesting that this is the path we’re on. July 28, 2021, Dr. Peter Hotez published a paper2 in PLOS Biology titled “Mounting Antiscience Aggression in the United States,” in which he suggests criticizing Dr. Anthony Fauci and other scientists ought to be labeled a “hate crime.” Commenting on the paper, Paul Joseph Watson at Summit News writes:3
“This is yet another transparent effort to dehumanize anti-lockdown protesters and demonize people who merely want to exercise bodily autonomy while elevating Fauci and his ilk to Pope-like status. Science isn’t supposed to be a religious dogma that is set in stone, it’s an ever-evolving knowledge base that changes and improves thanks to dissent and skepticism.”
Science Depends on Questioning and Challenging Assumptions
Attorney Jonathan Turley also responded to Hotez’s paper in an August 4, 2021, blog post, saying:4
“’Religion is a culture of faith; science is a culture of doubt.’ Feynman’s statement captures how science depends upon constant questioning and challenging of assumptions …
[T]here remain important debates over not just the underlying science relation to Covid-19 but the implications for such science for public policies. Criminalizing aspects of that debate would ratchet up the threats against those with dissenting views, including some scientists. That would harm not just free speech but science in the long run.”
Should We Have Protected Classes That Cannot Be Questioned?
Turley also points out how making scientists a protected class (and one would assume only those with specific political leanings) is a slippery slope that will likely have unwieldy ramifications:5
“The federal hate crime laws focus on basis of a person’s characteristics of race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, and gender identity. We have seen calls for adding professions like police officers, which I also opposed.
As with police officers, the inclusion of such professions would have a direct and inimical impact on free speech in our society. Indeed, it would create a slippery slope as other professions demand inclusion from reporters to ministers to physicians. Hate crimes would quickly apply to a wide array of people due to their occupations.”
Will America Accept No-Fly List for Unvaccinated?
Writing for The Atlantic,6 former assistant secretary for Homeland Security Juliette Kayyem posits that people who do not want to be part of the COVID injection experiment “need to bear the burden” when it comes to preventing the spread of SARS-CoV-2.
“The number of COVID-19 cases keeps growing, even though remarkably safe, effective vaccines are widely available,” Kayyem writes.7 “Many public agencies are responding by reimposing masking rules on everyone.
But at this stage of the pandemic, tougher universal restrictions are not the solution to continuing viral spread. While flying, vaccinated people should no longer carry the burden for unvaccinated people.
The White House has rejected a nationwide vaccine mandate … but a no-fly list for unvaccinated adults is an obvious step that the federal government should take.
It will help limit the risk of transmission at destinations where unvaccinated people travel — and, by setting norms that restrict certain privileges to vaccinated people, will also help raise the stagnant vaccination rates that are keeping both the economy and society from fully recovering.”
Travel Ban Identified as Effective Coercion Strategy
According to Kayyem, traveling in general and flying in particular is not a human right, and putting unvaccinated individuals on a no-fly list is a matter of national security, in the sense that the country needs to protect itself from people capable of spreading this dangerous virus.
She makes no mention of the scientifically confirmed fact that none of the COVID shots actually prevent you from getting infected, and that “vaccinated” individuals carry the same viral load as the unvaccinated,8,9 which means they’re just as infectious. The main difference is that vaccinated individuals might not realize that they’re carriers, as the primary effect when the injections do work is lessening symptoms of infection.
Kayyem also cites a New York Times and Kaiser Family Foundation poll in which 41% of unvaccinated respondents had said prohibition on airline travel would sway their decision, including 11% of those “adamantly opposed” to vaccination. In other words, where free doughnuts and million-dollar lotteries have failed to coerce people to get the shot, an airline travel ban might do the trick.
Despite her former position within government, she makes no mention of laws forbidding coercion of medical volunteers, such as the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations 45 CFR 46 (subpart A, the Belmont report),10 the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights treaty,11 the Declaration of Helsinki12 or the Nuremberg Code.13 Supreme court rulings have also clarified that Americans have the right to choose their own health care in general.14,15
Reframing to Confuse the Issue
Kayyem suggests circumventing such basic human rights by reframing the issue. She writes:16
“The public debate about making vaccination a precondition for travel, employment, and other activities has described this approach as vaccine mandates, a term that … suggests that unvaccinated people are being ordered around arbitrarily.
What is actually going on, mostly, is that institutions are shifting burdens to unvaccinated people ... rather than imposing greater burdens on everyone.
Americans still have a choice to go unvaccinated, but that means giving up on certain societal benefits. Nobody has a constitutional right to attend The Lion King on Broadway or work at Disney or Walmart … People who still want to wait and see about the vaccines can continue doing so. They just can’t keep pushing all the costs on everyone else.”
As pointed out by Swift Headline,17 the owner of Atlantic magazine, Laurene Powell Jobs, the billionaire widow of Steve Jobs, owns two private jets herself, giving her the freedom to fly around the world at will, regardless what vaccine mandates might be in place. Many other ultra-rich individuals would also be able to ignore the rules due to wealth alone, essentially turning them into a protected class. Swift Headline points out this projection:18
“The Atlantic went on to say unvaccinated people who are exercising their individual rights as free Americans ‘do not deserve’ to be a ‘protected class’ …
Jobs’s wealth and class status is detailed in Breitbart News’ Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow’s book, ‘Breaking the News: Exposing the Establishment Media’s Hidden Deals and Secret Corruptions,’ which ‘exposes the hidden connections between the establishment media and the activist left.’
As Marlow details, Jobs’s past is a privileged one ... Jobs ‘married well and inherited a lot of money, and her wealth is tied up in some of world’s biggest companies,’ Marlow continues. ‘She is the establishment.’”
The Price of Admission to Society
August 2, 2021, the San Francisco Chronicle also published an opinion piece19 by the Chronicle editorial board, in which they suggested we ought to “Make vaccination the price of admission to society.” One way to evaluate the reasonableness of such a proposition is to replace COVID “vaccination” with anything else. How about: “Make proof of contraception use the price of admission to bars and nightclubs.”
“Make clear skin the price of admission to gyms and public swimming pools.” “Make being taller than 5’ 9” the price of admission to theme parks.” “Make having a BMI below 25 the price of admission to airline flights.” “Make proof of not having an illness the price of admission to in-hospital care.”
According to the Chronicle editorial board, “the unvaccinated account for over 95% of hospitalizations and deaths.”20 The board does not cite where it got that data from, so let’s review the source of that data.
In an August 5, 2021, video statement, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director Dr. Rochelle Walensky noted that this statistic was obtained by looking at hospitalization and mortality data from January through June 2021 — a timeframe during which the vast majority of the United States population were unvaccinated.
The narrative that we’re in a ‘pandemic of the unvaccinated’ was created by using statistics from a time period when the U.S. as a whole was largely unvaccinated. When you look at more recent data, the trend is swinging in the opposite direction.
January 1, 2021, only 0.5% of the U.S. population had received a COVID shot. By mid-April, an estimated 31% had received one or more shots,21 and as of June 15, 48.7% were fully “vaccinated.”22
The CDC has also pointed out that you are not considered “fully vaccinated” until two weeks after your second dose (in the case of Pfizer or Moderna), which is given six weeks after your first shot.23 This means that if you receive your first dose on June 1, you won’t be “fully vaccinated” until eight weeks later, around August 1.
So, the narrative that we’re in a “pandemic of the unvaccinated” was created by using statistics from a time period when the U.S. as a whole was largely unvaccinated. When you look at more recent data, the trend is swinging in the opposite direction.
Vaccinated Now Comprise the Bulk of Hospitalizations
For example, August 1, 2021, Dr. Sharon Alroy-Preis, director of Israel’s Public Health Services, announced half of all COVID-19 infections were among the fully vaccinated.24
A few days later, August 5, Dr. Kobi Haviv, director of the Herzog Hospital in Jerusalem, appeared on Channel 13 News, reporting that 95% of severely ill COVID-19 patients are fully vaccinated, and that they make up 85% to 90% of COVID related hospitalizations overall.25
In Scotland, official data on hospitalizations and deaths show 87% of those who have died from COVID-19 in the third wave that began in early July were vaccinated,26 and in Gibraltar, which has a 99% COVID jab compliance rate, COVID cases have risen by 2,500% since June 1, 2021.27
A CDC investigation of an outbreak in Barnstable County, Massachusetts between July 6 through July 25, 2021, found 74% of those who received a diagnosis of COVID19, and 80% of hospitalizations, were among the fully vaccinated.28,29 Most, but not all, had the Delta variant.
“What the breakthrough cases appear to show is that the delta variant of the coronavirus is more easily carried and transmitted by vaccinated people than its predecessors,” the Chronicle editorial board writes.30
“In any case, the greater apparent transmissibility of the variant makes it that much more important to protect as many people as possible from severe COVID by increasing inoculation rates.”
What the board appears to be saying is that unvaccinated people must be protected against severe infection, against their will, if need be, and the best way to do that is to discriminate against them and treat them like second-class citizens.
Again, a simple way to check the reasonableness of this argument is to swap out the COVID reference for something else. How about, “It’s important to protect as many people as possible from dying in car accidents by raising car prices so fewer people can get behind the wheel.”
Can ‘Big Brother’ Save You From a Virus?
As early as April 2020, The Times in the U.K. weighed in with similar suggestions, stating “We need Big Brother to beat this virus.”31 Clare Foges, the author of the piece in question, went on to say, “Don’t let the civil liberties lobby blind us to the fact that greater state surveillance, including ID cards, is required.”
The argument that Big Brother can protect us from infection is ludicrous on its face, because no amount of people surveillance can prevent microscopic viruses from circulating.
The No. 1 place of viral spread is in institutions, such as nursing homes and hospitals, yet the staff within them are among the most well-trained in pathogenic control. If trained hospital staff can’t prevent the spread of viruses, how can government officials do it?
Importantly, the argument that we need vaccine passports to prove we’re “clean” enough to participate in society immediately falls apart when you take into account the fact that the COVID shots do not provide immunity. You can still be infected, carry the virus and spread it to others.
We’ve already seen several examples of situations where 100% of people were fully “vaccinated” against COVID-19 yet an outbreak occurred. We’ve even seen over 100 fully COVID injected people die from COVID in one state alone, Massachusetts,32 so it is likely there are now many thousands of fully “vaccinated” who have died from COVID.
Even a 100% Vaccination Rate Cannot Eliminate COVID
Most recently, Carnival cruise lines experienced an outbreak despite every last person on that ship having proof of COVID “vaccination.”33 The cruise liner had even intentionally reduced capacity from 4,000 to 2,800 to provide ample social distancing capability. None of the measures worked. People got sick anyway, which makes perfect sense if you remember that the shot doesn’t provide immunity, only symptom reduction.
Cases such as these clearly reveal that even if everyone gets the shot, SARS-CoV-2 will mutate and continue to circulate, taking people out here and there. To think that giving up basic rights and freedoms is the answer simply isn’t logical. Taking responsibility for your own health is, and that includes deciding if and how you want to protect yourself from SARS-CoV-2.
Not everyone is deathly afraid of COVID-19. Many realize there are safe and effective treatments available, such as the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance’s I-MASS Prevention and At-Home Treatment protocol and I-MASK+ Early Outpatient Treatment protocol.
Nebulized hydrogen peroxide can also be used for prevention and treatment of COVID-19, as detailed in Dr. David Brownstein’s case paper34 and Dr. Thomas Levy’s free e-book, “Rapid Virus Recovery.” And if there’s effective treatment, there’s little need to risk permanent side effects from an experimental gene technology that can only provide a narrow range of protection in the first place.

Youtuber Life Chapter 4
Ships: familial sleepxiety and eventual Prinxiety
Words:???
triggers: attempted suicide mention
first  last  next
Summary: Remy Sanders is a famous beauty vlogger and just moved to LA with his teenage son Virgil after their location was leaked by fans. Remy AKA CoffeeAddiction has several million subscribers. Virgil also has a secret Drama channel, where he doesn’t show his face and uses a voice modifier. He just hit a million subs and grows more everyday because of the level of production his videos have, the mystery around who he is and the fact that he ALWAYS has the latest information regarding youtube drama.
“Welcome back to another episode of “the fuck did she say now? I have a DID drama update. I’ve been waiting awhile to gather information to do a long segment. Since she first came out about having DID which has been disproven time and time again she’s tried to make it more believable in the stupidest way possible. By reviewing Chick-Fil-A’s spicy chicken sandwich, five fucking times. I watched all those videos plus others to see if she’s trying to keep up the lie. She’s really not. I swear every time I have to give her my views to tell you all what’s going on I die a little inside.”
“Who are you talking about?”
“DAD! Read the fucking sign! I’m recording!”
“Are you talking about Trisha?”
“Yes dad, now let me tell them about her.”
“She’s a total bitch! I fucking hate her!”
“WE KNOW! Damn it, now I’m going to have to edit all this out.”
“I’ve been looking into DID. And it’s actually a very interesting topic, and I encourage everyone to learn more about it. There will be links to videos and article on DID in the description. DisociaDID has not been on social media very much since all of this. I know they attempted suicide. Not because of Trisha or atleast only partly. Nin the systems host was dating someone in another system called Team Piñata who was discovered to be doing some shit I will not mention because it’ll get demonetized. I actually feel really bad for they system, it seems like they have been going through a lot recently. Now for all the OTHER shit Trisha has said and done over the past few weeks.”
Virgil edited the video and posted it, making sure to edit out the bit where his dad interrupted him and called Trisha a bitch.
Roman texted him.
Roman: You’re a meme Virgil: I’m well aware, fucking Jake Paul Roman: I thought you hated the guy, why are you fucking him? Virgil: I’m so fucking done with you
“VIRGIL!”
Virgil rolled his eyes “What?”
“I have in idea for a video get your ass down here!”
Remy was in front of the camera “K, so what if I mixed all of my eyeshadow together into one?”
“First of all Cristine did that with nail powder and polish and Safiya did that already in one of her weird make up science videos. Second, scraping the eyeshadow would kill you to watch.”
“UGH! You’re right, what else could I do?”
“A Bob Ross painting on your face. you could use only drug store products for something,”
“Bob Ross painting with drugstore shit!”
Virgil shrugged “yeah sure, you could also get lip gloss mix it together and try to make something really fucking weird, or do that with gel polish”
“I refuse to touch lip gloss, it’s fucking gross.”
“Bob ross painting not on your faces with lip gloss and other lipsticks.”
Remy nodded “thanks Virgil, you’re helping my buy it later.”
“No, people at school could see me, you can order it,”
“that’s less fun though,”
Virgil rolled his eyes “fine dad, I just need to make sure that no one can recognize me.”
He was ready pretty fast, with a light brown wig and blue contacts he also had close that where black and purple reserved for the occasion.
“Hello everyone! We are in the car today at our local Walgreens because we’re going to be buying lipstick, lip gloss and lip liner to make a Bob Ross painting!”
“Not on your face.”
“Not on my face, fuck lip gloss.”
“I wasn’t aware that was a kink or whatever.”
Remy glared at Virgil “smartass, you can walk home.”
“Gladly, I’ll be laughing when I see you trying to film and carry everything and talk and pay the cashier. You’ll be a meme.”
“You already got memed once this week, I’ll meme you myself if I have to. Or I could turn you into an E-Girl, you did lose that bet.”
“I absolutely despise you,”
Remy laughed “no you don’t.”
“I really do, and you can’t make me e an e-girl.”
“No, but the people can, there’ll be a poll right here, vote should my intern be an e-girl for the day?”
Virgil groaned “times like these make me wish I was aborted.”
Remy laughed.
The rest of the video went ok and no one recognized Virgil.
Raccoon: I hate life Dukey: I saw, I voted yes, you’d make a wonderful e-girl hiss hiss motherfucker: so did I, suffer bitch Raccoon: you’re both traitors  hiss hiss motherfucker: at least we’re not going to be an e-girl
Virgil was pissed the whole week. “What’s up with you Dr. Gloom?” Roman asked.
“Made a bet with Remus, and lost, I’m going to commit toaster bath.”
Roman made a face “why would you make a bet with my brother? nothing good comes out of it.”
“I thought I’d win, turns out he’s totally willing to eat deodorant if it means I’ll have to dress like an e-girl for a day and make a tiktok.”
Roman laughed “I cannot wait to see you dressed as an e-girl.”
“I can, I’ll be locking myself in my room all day.”
“I’m surprised Remus didn’t say you’d have to walk around in public like that.”
“He did, but he can’t see me, so I’ll be in my room.”
Remy was in front of the camera. “Time for you to become an e-girl!”
“I’d like to say a very special fuck you to everyone who voted yes and that after this I’m going to commit toaster bath,”
“It’s one day, you’ll be fine.”
“One day in my room with the door locked and curtains closed.”
Remy laughed “oh no gurl, you’ll be going out, I suggest you make plans.”
“WHAT? That wasn’t part of the deal!”
“I thought it would go without saying you’d have to go outside.”
Virgil just glared, happy his face wasn’t in frame.
The makeover took well over an hour. when it was over he looked almost unrecognizable, thankfully.
Virgil: Hey, anyone want to hang out, my dad’s kicking me out of the house for the day says I need to be “social” whatever the means Princey: So you do need to go out as an e-girl Virgil: unfortunately, anyone free? Logan: I have to study and Patton is out at the animal shelter volunteering, Roman? Princey: I’m free, meet you at the mall? Virgil: Sure
“Dad! I’m going to hang out with Roman see you later.”
“Have fun on your date!”
“dad! It’s not a date!” He slammed the door and left.
Virgil waited in a café for Roman. He got an iced coffee as always.
Someone shoved him while he was waiting in line.
“What are you? A boy or a girl make up your mind,”
Virgil didn’t look up from his phone “gender is a spectrum and gender norms are fake and I refuse to give into toxic musicality and if you have a problem with that you can leave because I already ordered and payed for my drink and am not leaving until I get it.”
“You can’t change your chromosomes, it’.” the guy said in a feeble attempt to get back at Virgil. basic biology
“How about you stop relying on basic biology and come back when you can argue the same statement with complex biology. If you really knew anything about biology more then the basics you’d know that scientifically there are at least three genders according to chromosomes. Male, female and intersex, and that once again biology isn’t fucking basic otherwise everyone would be a biologist. I can wear a skirt if I want to.”
He grabbed his coffee and left, Roman had arrived a few minutes prior.
“Damn emo nightmare I didn’t think you’d go all out on the E-girl look.”
Virgil shrugged “go big or go home, and I was kicked out for the day so I had to go big. Dad said I needed to go outside. For some reason, no idea why. I mean last time I left the house of my own free will not for school was only six months ago.”
Roman looked at him in doubt “I’m pretty sure you’ve been outside of your own free will sooner then six months ago.”
“Outside? Yes, of my own free will? not so much. Oooh hot tpic.”
Roman laughed.
“Shut up princey, they have cool stuff, including gay stuff.”
Roman shrugged “could be gayer.”
“You’ve been in hot topic?”
Roman shrugged “a few times with Remus, he makes me go, bribing me with Disney.”
Virgil smirked “why am I not surprised you can be bribed with Disney?”
He started looking around at My Chemical Romance t-shirts and other things. He also grabbed some purple hair dye.
“Where to next princey?”
Roman shrugged “Game stop?”
“Sure,”
They hung out at the mall for awhile longer before guess what another youtuber came.
It was Safiya doing a weird makeup science vlog.
“Virgil, planning on becoming a meme again?”
Virgil rolled his eyes “no, besides Safiya’s cool, I like her make up science videos. I just hate vloggers who do shitty content and make to much money through it.”
They left shortly after going their separate ways.
“How was your date?” Remy called from the basement.
“Not a date! You made me get out the house!”
“Come down here and finish filming!”
“So, how was your day of being an e-girl?”
“Got harassed about my gender and whatnot, I fucking destroyed the idiot, that was fun.”
“And who did you hang out with?”
“I told you and again, it wasn’t a date, everyone else was busy.”
Remy looked towards the camera in doubt.
“Well I’m never doing this again, I’m going to go change.”
The video went viral when it was posted several days later.
I saw a kid at the mall dressed like an e-girl a few days ago. They got harrassed at the Starbucks.
