Sims 2 "kiosks" aka: Someone stole my code and I am not happy

Okay, I'm gonna be honest about this because it's seriously bothering me. I hesitated to say something about this for a long time because I do not want to platform that code thief. I'm also not a fan of drama, I know how stressful that is for all parties and I normally try to stay out of it. Unfortunately, this theft just keeps coming back and seriously upsetting me so I have to say something about this.

My code has been stolen. To be exact: the vendor code from Sun&Moon. To be specific: a very specific version of the Laundry mod.

And by stealing, I mean passing off someone else's work as their own and encouraging others to utilize said stolen code.

Who did it? @sissysims

Sissysims stole the vendor code, made it into a "template" and even made a tutorial telling people how to use said template to make a "kiosk". After the publication, a number of people created "kiosks" using this stolen code. Notably: @simulationprincess and @grilledcheese-aspiration. I do not blame them from thinking it is a neat concept. Because it is. That's why we built those vendors.

It is seriously upsetting though to see our work going fully uncredited and sissy-sims receiving all the credit and praise. I have tried leaving a comment under her youtube video, but she must have hidden or blocked it, as it does not show up at all. She has also disabled private messages on her Tumblr. Basically, there is no way I can get in contact with her directly. So unfortunately, I feel like this is the only way to get my message out: in public.

But how can I verify that this is stolen code?

Good question. I have recorded a little video with my proof. One-take, no editing. Should she choose to try to scrub her evidence, it will remain up.

So why am I this upset about it?

I am upset because of a variety of reasons:

Somebody is passing off my work as their own. Not only disrespecting me, mind you, but also the others who contributed to the vendor, most notably: the amazing people who translated that vendor. Yes, it is because of translations that I know that she directly stole our work. She not only stole my code, she had the nerve to steal my own words as well! I can literally see the Dutch translation that I wrote myself in there and if that isn't pissing and shitting on my head, I don't know what is

Sissysims does not know what she is doing object-creation wise. The Sun&Moon vendor code is among the easiest Sun&Moon code there is. It is simple and elegant. She decided to make it a mess requiring multiple files for some guobforsaken reason. Possibly to make it seem like it isn't straight up stolen code, who knows. Just speculating. Regardless, someone who knows what they're doing wouldn't have done what she did to that poor vendor.

Sissysims does not have the basic knowledge of how BHAVs work. The vendor code she stole uses custom globals, (something that we always clearly indicate). Naturally, she does not seem aware of this. Anyone using her "template" (read: what did she do to my darling vendor 😭) risks getting bugs because sissy-sims is incompetent and doesn't know what she's doing

Sissysims is encouraging other people to use stolen code that she herself does not understand

This is an explicit violation of the Sun&Moon policy. And also probably why she didn't bother even mentioning us. Other "edits" she has done are credited. She chose of her own free will not to bother crediting.

If she has done it to us, who is to say she won't do it to someone else in the future?

She has a fucking merch store and clearly has aspirations to earn money from her Sims videos, monetarily profiting from - among other things - the stolen code.

So what now?

If you want to create a "kiosk", please don't use that mutilated template. Just reach out to me and I can teach you how to make a vendor. It's easier and technically set up much better than sissy's poor excuse of a "template". And if it turns out the vendor doesn't do exactly what you would like it to do, then I can help you figure out how you can code something that does tick all the boxes.

If you already made one, I kindly, humbly, request you add credit. It is quite upsetting to see my work going uncredited. Or better yet: reach out as well. The offer to teach you the vendor code to make something better is also open to you. I enjoy teaching people new things if they only ask politely and are willing to learn.

Everything hurt. Considering the last thing Luo Binghe remembered was metal and glass flying everywhere thanks to a truck t-boning his car, pain everywhere was only to be expected. Less expected was the mobile phone ringing so loud it felt like it was inside his own head. No one should have their mobile in his hospital room. Not since he was taken in by his biological father, who was the very definition of more money than sense.

He opened his eyes a crack to see if he could glare at the phone's owner until they silenced it. The ringing stopped, but his eyes were assaulted by an electric-blue floating window out of some badly CGI-d scifi movie.

He had to blink a few times before his vision was clear enough to read the words.

[Activation Code: "Who wrote this? Knock-off Chat GPT fed only a twelve year old's wet dreams?" System automatically triggered.]

The fu— Luo Binghe's eyes snapped fully open to stare at the screen. Yes, he had been reading the latest update to "Intricate Rituals with my Shixiongdi" while his driver took him to his father's house, but—

[Welcome to the System. This System operates in lie with the design concept "YOU CAN YOU UP, NO CAN NO BB"; we hope to provide you with the best possible experiene. My wish? Luo Binghe went cold, then hot, adrenaline flushing through his body. I can finally wife Shen Yuan? He wanted to cry, to scream, but he was still saddled with enough pain that even the adrenaline didn't give him much energy to get up and run off his excitement.

"Ah, Shixiong is awake. Good," a voice came from his right.

Luo Binghe agonizingly turned his head away from the blue screen and saw an older teenager in neat hanfu and a starched apron standing next to him. The teen had a handbound book folded open and was holding a stick of charcoal.

"How is Shixiong feeling?"

"Hurts." Luo Binghe said. His voice was rough and his throat felt like he'd swallowed every shard of glass from his windshield. He tried wiggling his hands and feet and found the movement easy, if excruitiating.

"Mmm, to be expected given the severity of Shixiong's qi deviation." He reached out and took Luo Binghe's wrist. Having his arm moved hurt as much as moving it himself. It felt like being injected with saline to have his meridians checked or whatever the trainee healer was doing. "But Shixiong's system has stablized nicely. One of this shidi's seniors will be by to release you to Qing Jing Peak with the next…" The teen glanced at something outside of the room and finished, "half shichen."

"Thanking Shidi," Luo Binghe croaked. So it was confirmed: he had transmigrated into IRS. Had transmigrated into Shen Yuan's own peak. And as a disciple, if he was the same generation as this kid. Was he part of Shen Yuan's cohort? His heart thumped at the thought.

IRS was an excrutiating mess of will-they, won't-they between the protagonist, Shen Yuan, and his ever-increasing bevy of admirers. It was a mess with character growth and subplots dropped in favor of introducing another man in love with Shen Yuan's poise and genuine goodness. If Luo Binghe was part of Shen Yuan's cohort of disciples, he could cut through ninety percent of the garbage and save his beloved the indignities of countless 'wardrobe malfunctions' and plants with extremely dubious tentacles.

The teen — a Qian Ciao disciple — nodded politely. "Luo-Shixiong would be wise to consult with Shen-shibo before resuming normal cultivation."

A klaxon went off between Luo Binghe's ears even before the blue screen returned to his sight with a merry jingle.

[This system was sucessfully actuvated! Bound Role: Shen Yuna's demonic student, Luo Baixiao. Weapons: Amature Spiritual Cultivation, Demonic Cultivation (locked), Demonic Abilities (locked). Starting S-points: 100.]

Luo Binghe's mind raced with swear words in a rainbow of languages. He finished with an emphatic kurwa.

[You have triggered the System's execution command and have been bound to the Luo Baixiao account. As the plot progresses, various point types will gradually become available. Please ensure that no score falls below zero, or the System will automatically mete out punishment.]

What kind of shit luck. Luo Baixiao was boogie man of the entire second half of IRS, used as a punching bag by Shen Yuan's various suitors to show off. It was stupid, senseless! How was Luo Baixiao so powerful that he never died, yet so weak he was constantly defeated by the man of the week? Why did he start as Shen Yuan's student only to disappear after a few chapters only to return as a villain?

It made no sense!

Luo Binghe — Baixiao now, he supposed — bared his teeth at the empty room. Actually, that was weird. Who did that? Was that a demonic instinct from his new body? He'd have to do some intense examination and introspection when he could move his limbs without wanting to curl on the floor and whimper.

He was supposed to be Shen Yuan's worst nightmare? Well that whole plot could kindly fuck itself. Luo Binghe knew exactly how Shen Yuan's squirrely mind worked and he was going to slot himself irremovably from his shizun's life while the suitors of the week failed in attempt after courting attempt.

[Warning,] the System warned, flashing again before his eyes. [This proposed plan is incredibly dangerous and qualifies as a violation. Please do not attempt or the system will automatically mete out punishment.]

"What do you mean dangerous? Shen Yuan would never hurt one of his disciples, let alone one that made his life easier," Luo Binghe asked inside his mind.

[Currently, you are at the beginner level, and the OOC feature is frozen. You must complete a beginner-level quest to unfreeze it. Before unfreezing, any act in violation of the original Luo Baixiao character settings will result in a deduction of a fixed number of S-Points.]

"You must be joking," Luo Binghe deadpanned. "Disciple Luo appeared in three chapters. I managed the wiki. He didn't have a characterization at this point."

[This System utilizes all resources in defining characters.] Okay, that meant nothing. So it was going to pull characterization out of its ass and hold him to it? Luo Binghe wasn't really much of a gamer, but the character sheet displayed by the System was pretty basic. Strength, endurance, charisma… It also listed the same 'weapons' the System initially told him about. Near the bottom right it said simply: Internally cold and resentful, externally polite and aloof. Thanks, System.

The Japanese Version of Deltarune

about a week ago i decided to translate japanese deltarune because i was curious and bored. i found a lot of stuff that i haven’t heard anyone talk about before!

i only translated chapter 2 because i got to the cliffs and remembered that watching/playing chapter 1 over and over again is really boring to me. might do it when/if i finish writing the post.

uhhh a few warnings. i’m not fluent in japanese whatsoever (i’m like n4 level? i think?), and i might not explain this very well to people who don’t know anything about the language. if you’re confused about anything i say, just ask and i’ll explain it in better detail.

i got all of the gameplay from tsuwahasu’s playthroughs of chapter 2 (pacifist and weird route), so all of the screenshots will be from his vods. i picked his vod to watch somewhat randomly so i was very surprised when he not only got all the easter eggs/secrets on a blind playthrough besides the egg room, but also beat spamton neo in one try, god damn

also i’m not the first person to look at the jp version of deltarune. please look at these posts/videos if you want to see stuff that’s already known in better detail:

LET US BEGIN.

first things first. the gonermaker sequence is one of the most well-known differences in the japanese language among lore fanatics like myself.

in japanese, the first character speaking to you (gaster/Geoff) speaks in kanji (normal) and katakana instead of hiragana (not normal, incredibly strange sounding). the character who hijacks the gonermaker at the end speaks differently, with kanji and hiragana (normal). as suzyundertale mentions in their post, the patterns are extremely similar to a certain fallen child from the end of the undertale genocide route.

another well-known lore Thing in the japanese version is that the hidden “scrapped” lines (AKA the person trapped in the code) use very feminine and childlike speaking mannerisms. this makes it very likely that the person is dess holiday

i’m not going to be going over much personal pronoun stuff, because other people have already covered most of that, though i haven’t seen one thing mentioned by anyone else:

seam uses the pronoun “atashi” (あたし), which is normally a very girly pronoun but in this case it’s meant to make them seem old and wise, since it was a more common pronoun in olden times. their other mannerisms are gender neutral and not feminine, but their name is localized to “nui” (ヌイ)— the word for “seam” in japanese, as well as an actual feminine given name.

does the use of “atashi” combined with having a fem name confirm that they are female? i’m 95% sure the answer is no. do those two things lead native japanese speakers to believe that they are female? i have no idea.

light and dark world

skellfamily mentioned all of this in the post i linked, but i have something small to add

undertale uses mainly hiragana in its text for the japanese version, with some small exceptions for when the fourth wall is broken. this is referencing earthbound, which also did this. this carries over to the light world of deltarune, but kanji is used liberally in the dark world. this is explained by toby fox wanting the light world to make the player think deltarune would be like undertale.

small jokes and stuff in the localization

the “librarby” misspelling joke carries over, with it being named “toshonka” (the japanese word for library is “toshokan”).

the AGREE2ALL puzzle was changed to say “YEEES20!!”. this can be read as “yes ni maru” (with the number 2 being read as “ni” in jp and “maru” being the word for a circle), meaning “yes to all” just like in english!

the “apple” keyboard puzzle still says “apple” though ralsei mentions that apple means “ringo” (the japanese word for apple) if you talk to him for a hint.

funnily enough, this joke was kept as is! (“kris, type as i say. f…” “…un!”)

the tasque’s battle lines in english are binary codes, with “me” being 0 and “ow” being 1. this is similar in jp. “nyan” is the equivalent of “meow” in that language, so “ny”=0 and “an”=1. cute!

the “bosom” joke is about the same, if anyone was curious

probably my favorite joke in the entire japanese version: in english, before the berdly fight on the roller coaster, he incorrectly refers to lightners as “Light Nerds” . in japanese this is changed to make him use ateji (a combination of kanji that doesn’t mean anything but sounds like an already existing word with their combined readings), calling the lightners 雷斗奈悪 (raitonaa, phonetically similar to the transliteration raitonā which the translation uses). it has the exact same effect (of berdly trying to sound smart but actually being very incorrect), but it’s localized in an outstanding way

“you are filled with the power of not knowing what sugarplums are” is changed to “you are filled with the power of not knowing what christmas pudding is”.

when berdly incorrectly calls susie “susan”, she says “who’s susan?” instead of “my name isn’t susan”. japanese people likely don’t know that “susie” is usually short for “susan”, so it makes sense for her to be even more confused in this version.

the spelling contest in berdly’s flashback is still an english spelling contest, with berdly specifying that it’s english.

instead of saying “susie… a real dragon blazers reference?!” when susie references dragon blazers 2, berdly says, “susie… you’re… a serious dragon blazers player…?!”

on that topic, dragon blazers is instead called dragon blader in japanese. was it called that the whole time? am i misremembering? i legitimately don’t know

the ice-e keysmash puzzle is changed so that you can type it out in japanese as すふぎおろてにぺけなも. it still does not mean anything.

right after susie referenced godzilla with the susiezilla line on the ferris wheel, she references ANOTHER tokusatsu. i think. here (while about to fall on ralsei) she says “ore, sanjou!!!!” (i arrive!), which is a famous catchphrase from kamen rider den-o. i’m like 85% sure it was an intentional reference. den-o is one of my favorite rider shows so this is amazing to me

and lastly. the name of minecrap is changed to マインクシャット (mainkushatto), which seems to be a play on some word plus “minecraft” like in english. i’m not sure what the wordplay is. i’ll get back to you on this

lore-y important stuff

about dess

in japanese, the december typing puzzle still spells out “december” in english.

noelle refers to dess as “onee-chan” (older sis)— it’s common for japanese people to refer to their older siblings like this, and it would be extremely weird if noelle called her “dess”. she could have called her “dess-neechan” or some variation of that, but i highly doubt that the name “dess” is being obscured, especially because “dess” transliterated would sound extremely close, if not alike to “desu” as well as the transliteration of “death”.

the knight

(i took the screenshot and forgot to turn auto captions off, sorry)

this line from a swatchling says something like “it captures the moment where the ‘knight’ creates a ‘fountain’ themself, with their own hands”, but the word for “themself” (みずから/mizukara) is written in hiragana, and “mizukara” could also technically be read as “from water”. was this a deliberate water-darkness parallel? i have no idea.

speaking of water!

the roaring knight is referred to as “咆哮の騎士” (houkou no kishi), the knight of the roaring. the word for the roaring itself, 咆哮, means roar or scream. which eliminates the alternate meaning of roaring (also being possibly defined as the sound of rushing water), but that probably doesn’t solidify “roaring” as solely meaning that. there are a lot of terms in undertale that had multiple meanings, but had to be changed to have only one in the japanese localization. “roaring” might be similar to those instances.

angel

spamton calls noelle an angel just like in english, referring to her as “angel-chan”. if there’s somehow anyone out there that didn’t think that line was important, i am here to prove you wrong!!!

more interesting:

this is the line where noelle says that if this was a dream, she would grow wings and fly away— but in this version, she says “big angel wings” specifically. very interesting!

the two (2) other notable changes in weird route

the infamous “you whispered noelle’s name…” line is slightly different. slightly.

the “kris called for help” lines still say that kris is the one doing it, but this one does not say the subject at all. this is normal for japanese, regardless, it’s still very interesting that it doesn’t say “you”. it is still differentiated from the “kris” lines, but not specifically referring to you (the player).

the other difference is so minor that i’m not even sure what it is or if it’s different from the english version.

miscellaneous spamton-related stuff

spamton’s speech patterns are entirely different in the japanese translation, but they get the same message across. they include:

switching between formal and informal language

using weird mixtures of hiragana, katakana, english letters and kanji

using katakana re (レ) instead of hiragana shi (し)

cutting off words

random spacing

and occasionally using “die” and “death” as homophones for “dai” and “desu”

it’s so wacky and unnerving and strange, i love it :D

other spamton lore bits:

mike’s name is the same (マイク maiku). i somehow forgot to translate the mike-related dialogue. i will get back to you all if there’s anything of note.

the word for “garbage noise” is 雑音, with about the same meaning. unsurprisingly, the same word (the exact same phrase, in fact) is used for both the addison’s line and the gaster phone call line.

the last thing (i think)

in the roaring cutscene, the japanese word for “chaos” is said (in the “all will be plunged into chaos” line), but then says the transliterated version of the word (カオス) in parentheses. tsuwahasu noted that it’s “keyword-like” in the playthrough i watched. is this important? i have no idea

i’m sure there are things that i missed here, so (again) if you want to know about something, don’t be afraid to ask!! the jp version of deltarune should be looked at a lot more—not just for the lesser-known lore tidbits, but also for the cool stuff that was changed to fit the language. it’s a really cool localization!

☆Headcanon: brother-sister coding, hear me out

I need to get this post done before whatever that will happen in chapter 192. So even if I only got two more days for this theory to be around, I'll be glad that I finally let this out from my chest after a while. So, don't take whatever I will ramble about as something super serious.

First of all, maybe you guys will look at me and says, "what the fuck Alie they're like two different unrelated characters" and while that's true for now and so far, I just... can't really took my eyes off from this "siblings coding" the more I read Chainsaw Man. And I have some reasons and theories why (disclaimer: I did a crazy reach all over the direction) and I found it very interesting.

Reason no. 1: Their First Meeting & Re-occurence

Hirofumi is the first part 1 character that Asa meets (even before Denji). So, I think it's reasonable for me—the reader to be intrigued on what is Fujimoto's plan for their seemingly "not important" (but why be the first?) relationship.

My initial thought is that: oh, they might become friendlier in the future or even become lifelong enemies. Then I remember Hayakawa Family—Aki and Power as the first ever Denji's buddy, specific on Power.

Because even though narratively and character writing-wise Power and Hirofumi are fundamentally different, both of them are written initially to form false narratives that they'll become a token love interest for our protagonist(s) aren't they? They also share a somewhat similar strawberry cake motive, makes me wonder why.

Alsoooo, I think the way Hirofumi & Asa's Devil Hunter Club "date" being portrayed as very differently from Hirofumi + Denji and Hirofumi + Fami "cafe date" (a.k.a. work-related mandated date) is important, somehow.

Reason no. 2: Personal Motives and Untold Family Narratives of Asa Mitaka

We know since the very first time we met her that Asa is very lonely and her motives circling around getting a companion (either a boyfriend or a friend) and living selfishly (which as we can see right now is backfired rapidly, but I'll talk about this separately later, maybe in the future).

However, there's one aspect of her motives that's kinda underlooked, and it's her relationship with family member. Yes, we got a glimpse of Asa and her mom (never with her father so far) and Asa with her lovely pet—Crambon, however they already died years ago, and Asa blame herself for it.

It's unfair that in this world, she still had her family, as they said. So maybe she already gives up on that idea. Which is where the true weights of this headcanon come from. What if, she still could have it? Even though she never asked for this directly. Her getting a family again that she was maliciously accused of unfairly having, could be very nice, actually. Even if it's a very insufferable or a miserable mess workaholic kind of brother (or twin brother).

Reason no. 3: Hirofumi's Motives

This deserves its very own post just like my plan to talks more about Asa's living selfishly motive but to make it simple, Hirofumi lied at the very start because he already formed a parasocial relationship with both Asa and Denji by giving them options to have a somewhat nicer normal life (Denji not becoming Chainsaw Man, and Asa making a distance from Denji to prevent her from turning him into her weapon and thus also prevented her to feel down because of the guilt) even though he knows that another choice never really exist to begin with.

(Asa doesn't necessarily have to be his sister to add more depths to this motive. I just think won't it be very funny if Hirofumi was like collecting information all around, confirming that Asa Mitaka is indeed the incarnation of War Devil in weird case then he took a look at her Koseki then boom they have the same dad!? What the fuck was that. Here comes new responsibility that his father left behind, I guess)

As what we know so far, Hirofumi took his job and his responsibility very seriously and very neat about which one he could improve or "change" for everyone's sake involved. IF Hirofumi and Asa are indeed siblings (or half siblings) however, this gives more explanation on his involvement and his own personal interest. Hirofumi is not easy to read, but he still overshares to Asa (chapter 121 when he agrees on Asa's takes about solitude) and "taking care" of her.

Reason no. 4: Just Take a More Look at Them

Taller than average? Check. More athletic than average? Check. Insane face card? Check. Unbelievable amount of yearning? Check. Arguably suicidal? Check.

Both of them being a human stuck in status quo between human vs devil war like hostages in their own prison—Hirofumi stuck as hollow used cop for Public Safety and Asa stuck as War Devil very own vessel—with absolutely nothing, no one really on their side (Fumiko and Fami as mean of even more control over both of them)? Check.

Even as concept alone, child soldier and war maiden incarnate siblingsm could be developed to be something, very interesting.

Okay, now into more theories territory.....

Theory no. 1: Asa and Hirofumi are the Result of Kishibe Fucking Around and Found Out Post Quanxi Rejection Era

Why Kishibe would do that? Idk but it's a funny math because if Kishibe is in his early 50 now then 17 years ago would be him in his 30s. If Kishibe become devil hunter in his early 20s and meet Quanxi shortly after that and become buddies for 9 years then, the year just lined up lmao. How much chances of them being an oopsies baby thus explaining their very different last names but strangely similar physiques and even narratives? Not zero.

There are two options regarding this though. It's either they're twin siblings or half siblings. Half siblings mean they have different mothers but same dad, and twin siblings mean they have same mother but got separated at some point during their lifetime (Hirofumi went with Kishibe and Asa went with her mama who probably re-marry or just simply raising Asa alone and lying about her dad getting eaten by devil or something because her love story with that drunkard crazy man is just that bad).

Kishibe avoiding child support for 17 years and this is the consequences, also both of them got their ass kicked out by the very same lesbian who rejects their father, I'll say it's a beautiful storytelling.

Theory no. 2: Sinister Look on Vol 17 Cover and "Hirofumi will appear in Asa's Dream"

We will get into a more sinister area here because I believe the Makima-esque vibes, "necessary evil" narratives Hirofumi brought up to the table are not coincidences or neglectable at all. Even more sinister because his cover is him standing in front of alleyway just like how Makima cover is her in front of the door in Denji's dream.

Which led me to think that this could indicate something. However, kinda different on how it was portrayed, I think this make things clear that Hirofumi is not endgame antagonist since his cover came a bit too early than what we—the reader anticipated (there is absolutely no fucking nobody in the fandom that expecting Hirofumi to get a cover during before the cover reveal). However, he might be the key into Asa's end dream reveal later on.

Maybe he will appear on her dream being vague as fuck, or maybe direct her dream into a more "false happiness" directions since all he did is lying (see reason no. 3) to distract her focus on dead chickens. Personally, I think the latter will be more interesting because it will be the opposite of what Makima did in Denji's dream, if this "Hirofumi will appear in Asa's dream sooner or later" theory is true. The government and the church need Asa in her stable conditions to unleash Yoru anyway.

"Then what does this imply into your siblings theory"—because siblings should take care of each other, ideally. And I think it will add more depth, if true of course.

Theory no. 3: Hirofumi Cares About Asa (maybe more than what we see on-screen)

To put on more disclaimer, this is just what I imagine to fill out the gap in between narratives and it connects to reasons number 3 (again). Despite how he positions himself and blending in the crowd like invincible, Hirofumi is actually easy to care and feel guilty too (and the reason why he could kill the Immortal Brother assassin in part 1 is because he has the ignorance privilege, but with both Denji and Asa? Not so much).

I have no strong basis for this theory I just have my own feelings and a dream, and this is basically what I think Hirofumi has done so far for Asa (subtle) in the story:

Hirofumi just let Yuko loose and kill Asa's bullies during Justice Devil Arc. This may sound dark, but it fit his character in a way that he's okay with doing violence as long as it could benefit his mission (and maybe this time his personal interest too). Because he knows Asa got bullied at school. If this could solve her bullying problems, then why not? That's why Hirofumi is just sitting around during the whole fight until Denji interfered.

Hirofumi is the one who brought Asa to hospital after Falling Devil Arc (which is somehow in line for how I think he's Denji blood-giver in the same arc). Because well, I don't think Public Safety cared enough to get her conditions checked, but Hirofumi is aware about her injury conditions (arguably this is so that she could be a bargaining chip for Denji but we know that the main chip is Nayuta, I think Hirofumi just want to let him know just because also let me have this imagination for the sake of this agenda).

The reason why Hirofumi didn't or more likely can't kill Asa during CSM Church Arc is not necessarily just because War Devil has become stronger. Paneling focus on their face's expressions indicate that Hirofumi just can't bring himself more to do so (after he saw Asa's hand and her in pain), thus making him fail this mission to capture War Devil dead or alive. It's the guilt kicking in.

I think Hirofumi is somewhat relieved after he saw Asa's hands are back (yay) in Aging Devil Arc. Also, that's what he put his focus on FIRST after he got vomited out before asking his own situation even.

Personal View and The Main Takeaway (really): I need this to be real just because I think it will be so fucking funny

To end this unbelievably long ass post, I think it's important to note again that they have like five screentime together and I'm just insane. But if I should be honest, this is not me being rational at all, I just think the whole situation would be funny up to seven more factors if my ramblings are true.

Because this headcanon imply that the fandom meltdown towards them (as individuals or as in characters dynamics) is unnecessary at all. Like aside from Hirofumi being read mainly as queer, maybe him acting kind of mean and nonchalantly distant (and somewhat awfully playful) towards Asa are just because he like being petty and doesn't want to look like he wants to bang his sister (as a sister myself, yes I do feel the need to annoy my other siblings whenever I can just because I could and it doesn't have to be hatred, sometimes it's the love aggression kicking in).

Vulture Osteons.

This is the kind of osteon that my oc, Pyre, is.

Vulture osteons are a sub-race of osteons. The closest example i can think of would be like Neanderthals to humans.

Just the difference isn't that v!osteons are "less evolved".

Vulture osteons are characterized by the following traits. All of which the intensity of which differs from v!osteon to v!osteon. Just like normal traits with normal osteons:

Muzzles instead of flat faces.

Digitigrade legs instead of flat footed bipedalism.

Pointed fingers or claws instead of rounded and smooth fingertips.

Sharp teeth.

Sharper features over all.

The physical dietary need to consume bones or calcium rich foods.

More fragile bones.

Higher speed and agility.

Vulture osteons aren't really a separate race from normal osteons. They're still osteons.

And just like Neanderthals and many other human species that crossed with modern humans and thus causing groups of modern people to have those genes and features from those species. V!osteons are mixed with normal osteons. There's very few v!osteons who are more vulture than not.

To the point that most v!osteons are actually born from two normal osteons.

The reason being due to genetics (or the closest thing to it for space skeletons)

In normal osteons, the genes that code for. Well. Normal osteon features are more dominant. While the genes for v!osteons is non-dominant.

Meaning that in a family, several generations of normal osteons can go by without anyone having kids with a v!osteon. But still suddenly a v!osteon can pop up in the family.

In v!osteons, the genes that cause their vulture traits are a bit more dominant. Meaning that if they were to have a kid with a normal osteon, the chances of it being a v!osteon is much more likely. Though it's still below a 1/4 of a chance.

With two v!osteons however, the earlier example of normal osteons, is reversed.

Several generations of v!osteons can go by without normal osteons. But still have one pop up from time to time

However thats much more likely to happen than the vultures popping up in a normal osteon family.

Due to just the nature of v!osteons appearances, dietary needs, and extreme uncanny valley. There is a great prejudice against them. *especially* on the osteon home world.

The name "vulture" osteon is a bit missleading. There's no bird features. The muzzles are like mammal muzzles. like dog snoots and cat muzzles and stuff.

the "vulture" in the name actually is for three reasons.

in lore, its like.. sorta derogatory? But nit exactly?... It was the original name, but then general osteon public turned the "vulture" term into something derogatory.

irl reason is cuz i had used the term "vulture" when describing some of the insults that might be used against V!osteons, and then decided to just keep using the term because one, i accidentally already established that, two, it sounded cool.

and then three, is because when i decided that Pyre, and thus by extention Other V!osteons had to eat bones, the inspiration for that was Bearded Vultures. Aka, one of my favorite birds ever.

but like, physical appearance wise- ye. no borb features sadly.

Oh before I forget.

I've decided that some Vulture osteons can have what's called a primordial claw.

It's a 4th toe, located low on the "ankle" instead of the foot

Where the cybernetic claw on Pyre is.

The primordial claw varies in functionality and size.

For some, it's no different than the "thumb" toes located higher up from the rest of the toes on a cat or dogs front paws.

For others, it can be used for grasping, similar to how birds of prey can grab things with their feet.

In others it might be similar to a raptor claw.

And for others in might just straight up be an entire 4th toe to walk on, rather than a claw.

Having a primordial claw is quite rare, as it's a "primitive" trait. Think, like claws on wings for a bird.

Not many have it. And those that do always have an overall more "primal" or "feral" or "predatory" appearance. Like longer and Sharper claws and teeth. Muzzles that are even more better shaped for heavy bite force. More animal like eyes. And so on.

These kinds of osteons are believed to be more closely related to, or at least look similar to, what the original form of vulture osteons was waaay back when osteons as a whole where just beginning to enter the stone ages. Maybe even before vulture and normal osteons intermingled.

If I were to make an example...

Normal osteons are common dogs. Like labs and retrievers.

Regular vulture osteons are the dogs more closely related to wolves, but still dogs. Alaskan malamute, Shiba inu, the like.

V!osteons with more "primitive" features and primordial claws, are the wolf-dogs.

And then then theorized "true/original" vulture osteons are wolves.

The ready room was no stranger to a half crazed Spock being dragged down the table, thighs being thrown over Jim’s shoulders and his waiting mouth. I finished ME2 on Normal! (And did not die in the entire final section from when the Normandy crash-landed until the Freaky Deaky Human Reaper was officially tossed in the trash can! I'm actually very proud of that, considering how many times I died on Casual last time. 😱☺️)

Successfully romanced Jack, who really does have such a sweet romance once you get through her angry exterior. 🤗

I changed to the Cerberus armor for the final fight because I liked the stats it provided, namely a bump in health and heavy weapons' ammo. Hated not looking like my handsome N7 self, though. BUT I POWERED THROUGH THE PAIN OF BEING LESS FASHIONABLE.

😜I also played a little more Paragrade this time, always picking Paragon for the interrupts and major decisions but allowed myself a few Renegade dialogue options every so often, as a treat. 😉 I mean, Grunt in particular seemed to really enjoy getting the occasional Renegade pep talk, lol!

I adore Samara's eyes! 😍 I also really love her relationship with Shepard, how you can feel that she respects you and considers you her friend, and that's something pretty rare for her. You can tell that she's so lonely and so bound by her Code that it's hard for her to connect to anybody else. I love that moment in ME3's Citadel Shore Leave where she'll tell you that she just wants to sit quietly with you for a moment. It just feels special and nice and it never fails to make me glad to be playing Shep as (mostly) Paragon. 🤗

Legion doing a little head tilt in the menu just made me d'awwwww at him. Who's a good Geth boi? Who's the bestest, goodest Geth boi EVAH? Yes, it's Legion, it is! 🤗🤗🤗

And I should add that the team of Legion and Zaeed proved to be very strong and capable in this run. I was impressed! It's such a shame that we meet Legion so very late in the game that we really don't get the chance to take him on many missions.

And speaking of missions, my experiment proved that no, you don't have to do the Lair of the Shadow Broker, Overlord or Arrival missions to still reach the end of the game. So I'll definitely be skipping those on Insanity just to try to cut down the amount of combat you have to do.

Annnnd speaking of Insanity: I was planning on doing another run to try out a different class but I think I'm going to try Insanity as a Sentinel first. If I fail miserably, can't advance, etc., then I'll start over with a new class back down on Normal and try that out. I'm thinking maybe Infiltrator or even just Soldier, but I really want to give Sentinel a try first. I like the Warp, Overload and Energy Drain powers and I think they'll come in handy when all enemies have shields and barriers. 😬

That's just so unnecessary, IMO. 😑

Anyway, being a Sentinel also helps me to feel closer to my fella.

And speaking of my boo, I didn't realize until I actually saw it in a Shiara vid, where Liara was there with Femshep at the start as the Normandy was being destroyed, that if Shepard has a love interest, THAT'S who appears to try to get you to evacuate. Both times I've gone through the ME2 opening, I was coming from a ME1 run where I didn't romance anyone and so, therefore, the game knew my true heart and gave me and Maleshep our guy to be with us in our time of need. *nodnods so seriously right now I can't even*

Okay, yeah, so probably Kaidan is Shep's second in command at this point? Or it's a rank thing that the game is using in lieu of a love interest? No, it's the POWAH OF MSHENKO LOVE, friends, it just cannot be denied! 💖💖💖😉

I know that it's not wise to do ME2's Insanity as a New Game+ because your enemies scale to your level, which will be high, but you have to earn all of your talent/power points again, I believe? So you'll be weak against even stronger enemies, yikes! Could be wrong but that's my best understanding at the moment.

Anyway, I'll be just returning back and importing in my previous ME1 Adept Shep and then choosing for Cerberus to rebuild him as a Sentinel. I think I'll try Miranda's romance while I'm here, too. I know I'll lose Jack or Miranda's romance in ME3, depending on which ME2 Shepard I then import, but I'd like to eventually playthrough as some of the other classes, so I'll be sure to romance one of them again in 2 and 3 so to get their couple of scenes, particularly those from the Citadel Shore Leave DLC.

Wanted to keep this one as long as possible because it's a hard question to answer and I'm like-- the least equipped part of us to answer it (it's Camden coded tbh)

Yes and No

We are the same person-- we KNOW that-- our intrigues and desires and skills all come from the same mind and there are times where that fact is a comfort and there are times when it's the most horrid and damning brick wall that we despise and cannot break through

Do we have preferences and things that we each gravitate towards? Yes (there are things that summon me out by proximity-- Daja has a better map of them than I do as she is the one who notices when our leg starts bouncing while someone else is fronting)

Do we have repulsions and bans that some of us cannot interact with? Also yes (I cannot handle erotic stuff AT ALL despite Dawn priding herself on that aspect of our soul)

But there's nuance within it

No matter who is fronting, even Dawn, if someone touched our pre-surgery genitals we would freeze up and feel a wave of--- ice? Like our entire soul would just STOP and we would stop being inside our body

Dawn can override that and ride the storm and just make us operate in that dizzy trance state and then suffer a massive drop later

Science wise we are just pushing ourselves through being SEVERELY ACTIVATED at like a brain chemistry level and the body will feel that, even if Dawn ignores it

Wonder how that relates to Wynn's aversion to being touched? Last time we had a freak out over a glitch in a video game she grabbed me and fronted while partners tried to do that "soothing touch" thing and she almost lashed out at them when they didn't get their non-verbal signal to "please don't touch me right now"-- feels like an invasion of the soul, like falling super fast and not being able to get a grips on the body or emotions or--

Point is, we don't notice it unless one of us is offline

Some skills are locked in with specific alters-- especially pre-transition when we didn't know how we functioned-- we have forgotten to drive while behind the wheel and have forgotten how to do our job while on a busy shift-- like approaching a projector to fix it and realizing we don't remember the code to log in or how to switch to the HDMI cable input-- honestly, looking back it was pretty amazing how we had no idea this was happening to us until we came out of the closet

Yes, yes I do (Can I put a few headcanons, sorry I love talking about them)

1. Jason honestly should've had more to him. I feel like he had a lot of potential, since a lot of him and Craig's interactions are:

Beginning: Craig: "I can't fucking stand you're such a jerk istg"

End: Craig: "You're not so bad, sorry"

I don't like how their interactions are recycled (lack of a better word) and feel like Jason deserved better. Like, did he get along with the Champions when he was a spy? How did Xavier feel finding out Jason was a spy? I feel like we should've seen more of Jason y'know.

2. (Headcanon) Miss Eliza is the worst nail biter and picks her fingers a lot (omg protection hi). She hides her messed up nails behind her gloves and hates them.

3. I don't like Wildernessa that much sorry (The fandom sadly ruined her for me)

4. The Scouts and Tea Timers need more attention fandom wise and show wise

Living Hell

You hated it here. You've hated it for a couple years now, but it was different then. Now that you finally somewhat understood what's been happening, that hate turned into genuine hate. Before you were annoyed that you could never travel far from your "home", now you knew that it was because you were a prisoner. Before you hated that no one gave you real answers, now you knew why; they were all liars. Everyone in this stupid organization were liars, at least the ones you've met, who knew what was going on and yet left you to rot here.

You refused to allow them to tell you what to do anymore. You'd already done so much for them, and the people outside. They forced you to isolate from the outside world, forced you to grow up to fast, forced you to think that you had a massive responsibility on your shoulders when it should've been them. They were the adults, not you. But they didn't care. They were to fascinated, to frightened, to consumed with what was happening to truly pay attention to you. You remember all the nights where you laid in bed, wishing your mom and dad would walk into your room and cuddle you tightly through the night.

But they were dead.

Because of them.

Because of Him.

You shuddered, fighting a whimper in your room at the mere thought.

Here you were, shoving clothes, food, a charger, devices, medicine just in case, anything essential in a backpack. You were leaving this horrible place, you didn't want to feed their twisted "research" that they believed was a miracle anymore. You saw it as a nightmare. After zipping up your bag, you sighed shakily.

Was this a good idea? What if you got caught? What would they do to you?

Squeezing yourself, you firmly shook your head. No. It's been 4 whole years since your last "encounter", surely He's forgotten about you by now. There was no way you were that important to Him, a insignificant little human. Yes, yes, He's definitely forgotten. Opening your eyes, you realized that you'd been standing there for too long, and with a determined huff you grabbed your bag, threw it over your shoulders, and your phone slipped into your pocket.

'I don't care what these people think, I want to live a normal life again before all this started. I'm leaving.'

You thought to yourself bitterly. One perk you had about living here was the fact that you knew the place like the back of your hand. You knew security cycles, what time workers and scientists would leave, pass codes to open doors; everything. You smugly smirked as you looked down at a stolen keycard you snatched from a scientist a few days ago. That was one problem out of the way. Clenching the keycard, you walked out of your room.

You hoped to make it out of here, with the stolen money you had, maybe you could take a train? You'd asked a worker where your uncle lived, and they knew none the wiser to think you'd take the information seriously.

You were going to find your uncle. Hopefully he and Madison would help.

Hello~ First chapter done! I know it ain't much, but I'm working on it. This was more so just a chapter to fill in small brief events before we get into the actual plot, aka movie events, and I believe that the next few chapters will be the same. And for quick clarification, I'm gonna try and make it where big G doesn't appear for another few chapters. At least, in current time events story wise. There will be chapters mentioning the past, or brief moments like flashbacks where he is fully mentioned or appears. And I know it seems like your character acts a little bit older than 12, but that's the point. You've been forced to act older for a long time, it's expected. However I'm gonna try my best later to get y/n to loosen up and start acting 12 again lol.

Im so back with some dandy's world characters of mine!

infos abt them:

Brushy Sammy the paintbrush: a easy-going toon, they are always there to help the others discover their passions and themselves! If they see a fight between children or toons, they immidiately stop it and offer to talk it out with everybody, they always like teaching kids that talking is the best option and that they can be whoever they want to be!

Didi (pronounced DD) the Candy: Didi is one heck of a candy! Always running around and in general being very hyperactive! A great companion of fun and games for kids! She always loves telling kids to be themselves and have fun, even if somebody tells them they are too old, you are never old enough for some fun!

Camila the camera: a calm and dreamy toon, she loves chilling by the library with kids and read them stories.. Shes a great friend for a snooze or some calm times after a long day, teaching kids its important to be wise and calm at all times; Always go to her for very good facts and advices!

Curiosities:

Sammy never liked Delilah, they always tought she has been hiding something, and they didn't like how she treated Didi.

Sammy pronouns are They/Them and they are non binary! Camila is a she/her and shes agender, didi is a she/her and a girl.

Didi, being very hyperactive and generally a bit too much, it burdened Delilah, and she always ended up scolding Didi for the very thing she was programmed for. Didi tought that this was all her fault (which its genuinely not since thats the command she's following being a toon and not a real human.) making her feel guilty and not wanting to stay close to Delilah anymore. Delilah also called her a "mistake" made by herself because of how "annoying" she made Didi. Making Didi cry many times.

Camila and Sammy are sort of parental figures to Didi and they also stay together very much!

Sammy is a main and so is Didi, Camila is a normal toon.

Sammy always has always been very irritable. Probably a malfunction in her code.

Didi is 11 years old! Sammy is an adult and so its Camila (ages not specified).

Didi's bag is actually the trinket you'd get in the game! It grants a +1 slot in your inventory but makes you somewhat a little slower.

Sammy trinket is her tail! A rainbow fidget brush tail, it grants you 2 times more stamina.

Camila trinket is a camera roll, which grants 3 times more speed with extracting.

Didi's has an active ability, she has a bar next to the button of her active ability, to fill that bar up, you have to eat/drink sweet things around maps! (candies, choccolate, box o chocco, pop, bottle o pop and protein bar) and when the bar is filled to 100%, Didi can grant herself a heart! (her passive ability is that she can basically see the twisteds around the map; the active ability is called "Sugar rush!" And the passive ability is called "Star eyes")

Sammy active ability is called "Pain-t up!" where they can basically charge to a twisted and stun them of some sort, this causes the twisted to stumble back and have a less big hitbox for 20 seconds; her passive ability is "rainbow aura", which grants them to regenerate their stamina 3 times faster. (kinda like astro)

Camila active ability is "stop!" where she flashes the twisted by taking a photo of them and the flash stops them (works kinda like smoke bomb).

Sammy name can be Sam for short (i wonder where i got that name from...... Jk yes they are my sona but not an exact accurate one cuz im not nonbinary im agender and i dont go by only they them lol)

Hi! I have finally decided to start the journey of creating an interactive fiction story. I absolutely love your works and have always found I have an inkling for writing, If you have any basic tips or general things that helped you I would really appreciate it because looking online is so confusing. Im a 19 year old full time college student and athlete so it will be a slow process but any insight would be extremely helpful. Thankyou! :)

Oh shit, I was in the same boat. Used to be a college athlete as well so I know exactly how much time you're about to have on your hands to do other things lmfao.

General advice and biggest: do not over exert yourself. I know this is something everyone says and it feels so ... simple. But I am being 100% honest. Even when you think you're on a roll and can write like 50k in one sitting, don't. I say that because burn out WILL catch up and burn out doesn't just leave after a week of a break, that bitch takes forever to truly recover from. I don't know how else to say it but please take care of yourself. Your brain, hands, all that.

Keep it light and fun. Remember to keep it light and fun. I wrote Dragon Racer while in college and a lot of shit fucked with my mind leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

Another piece of advice that I know folks always talk about but always like to argue: write for yourself. I kinda lost that along the way but it really is true. At the end of this, you're the one whose going to fall out of love with something you wanted to do. That doesn't sit well. This is for you, first and foremost. Ask yourself if only a handful of people ever read your work and if that makes you never want to write again. If the answer is yes then some self reflection needs to be had. Just being honest. Where's that meme of "try to change my mind."

Of course you want folks to read your stuff but if you're not in love with what you're doing then it will feel like a job and that's when it falls apart.

Resources wise ....

Just learn coding. Never stop learning. Never cut yourself off from learning coding.

Tons of writing resources. Have an entire folder on them. Also figure out what your weaknesses are (yes, we all have them, I for one suck at action) and get advice and guides on them. Like, there are tons of them everywhere. Like this is literally just my subfolders: Do not ask how many files and folders are in those. Literally just type in something to a search engine like "shades of colors" or "ways to describe sadness" shit like that and you'll get tons of results. Have numerous articles about the same thing.

Read. Read. Read. Read.

Read some more. And I mean things you wouldn't normally read too.

Either get a writing circle or join writing groups so people can give you their thoughts. You need that, period. Ask other writers. Most of us don't bite. Some of us do.

Charlie is a lot less trusting than in canon, on top of that she's quicker to fight.

Like she bleeds gold and wants to hide that but she'll throw hands over someone insulting Vaggie (which probably isn't different than canon)

Another thing, Charlie has wings on her head that she can't hide and it's a source of shame to her, I think even in canon Charlie goes out of her away to seem more normal and approachable but angelic Charlie is terrified of anyone finding out about her wings/blood out of fear of being hated.

She was also born with a halo but those can kinda just be taken away, so Lucifer and Lilith just did that when she was still young young.

She bleeds in front of Vaggie after a few months of them knowing one another and I can't decide whether I want Vaggie to know who Charlie is blood wise solely because I think it would be neat for Vaggie to think that Charlie was also a fallen angel.

Charlie is lamb coded, I'm pretty sure she's goat coded in canon but I might be wrong.

Vaggie helps Charlie preen when she has her wings out for molting season, she has a smaller molt to change plumage that she can kinda ignore as well.

Also yes I'm aware that only male ducks have partial molts, Charlie is trans in this au. I'm not taking criticism.
