a/n: i finished watching nana tour a few days ago and finally decided to write about nari’s experience there! hope you like it bae <3 (not proofread yet, sorry for any mistakes!)

nana tour highlighted moments:

nari’s mission:

she turned the card around, giggling while the camera focused on the words written on it. ‘get at least five members to join you in a dance performance.’ was written in korean on the paper, nari giggling once again as she thought of them dancing.

“i hope it’s as easy as you say. i think they’ll be doubting every step you take.” na pd laughed.

“oh~ get a few drinks in their system and we are ready!”

dinari moment:

nari was peacefully laying down on the ground while reading a random book coups put in her bag so she could distract herself, a small smile present on her face from reading the little notes he left on the pages he thought that needed to be highlighted. she heard humming behind her but could care less about it as she was immersed by the book.

dino sighed as he entered the living room, plopping down on the floor next to nari and scooting over to read the book with her.

“was it coups hyung who wrote this?”, he questioned, smiling slightly at how cute the couple was.

nari nodded, sighing right after. she missed him a lot, she wished he could be with them. sadly it was impossible due to his condition, he needed to rest as much as possible to come back soon.

chan sighed too, a bit sad at seeing her upset about the whole ordeal. he scooted closer to her and gave nari a side hug, snuggling closer to her side. nari smiled and returned the hug, sneakily putting her hand in his head to pet it, just like she did back in their trainee days. the both of them sighed contentedly, opting to stay in this moment for a little longer.

enthusiastically, hoshi, seungkwan, mingyu and vernon agreed to it. nari got confused when the american boy agreed but accepted it nonetheless, though, she still needed one more member to agree so she could be done with the mission.

just as they started rewatching the video, jun sneakily appeared behind them, softly putting his hand on nari’s shoulder. that ended up startling her, in which she ended up screaming from the jumpscare.

“jun-ah!”, she yelled out, wide eyed. “you almost killed me!”

he sheepishly smiled and apologized, giving nari a quick pat on the head as they went back to watching the video. the four started to learn the choreography little by little, laughing here and there whenever they messed up.

“i can’t believe this!”, hoshi fake-cried. “you started without me!?”

they only mocked him, mingyu laughed at that and joined them in a newly dressed shirt that he bought in italy and some sweatpants. they quickly got the choreography after that and started to take different videos of the dance to decided which one got better.

as they finished, nari smirked naughtily towards a camera and giggled, sending the video to cheol with ‘i just made these dorks do my mission without them knowing 😋’ written underneath the sent video.

“i told you why i was quiet when kwanie interrogated me at the kitchen.”, she laughed slightly. “but i did complete my mission!”

“can you show us?”

immediately she got her phone and turned it towards the entire table, bursting in a laughing fit when she saw their reactions. the members in the video were feeling even more betrayed, with seungkwan and jun having agape mouths and shocked looks on their faces. vernon had his iconic ‘o’ expression while mingyu and hoshi were pointing at her in disbelief of the situation.

“so, can you tell us your mission again?”, na pd laughed, loving the chaos.

“well…”, she hid her phone, smiling sweetly. “i had to get at least five members to perform a dance with me!”

then chaos broke once again as everyone felt betrayed by their older sister.

Besides you just got back from a trip, you don’t even get time to come home and rest before another one?”  “Well, it was approved. Look, this new mission is really important, something only I can assist with. Trust me, I tried asking if they could send someone else.” 

“But you promised.” “I know, unfortunately, matters of national security trump vacation time and skating competitions.” “Yeah, yeah, I get it. Just, stay safe. I’ll see you when you get back, whenever that is. Love you. Bye.” You didn’t give him time to respond before you ended the call. Normally you didn’t give Leon grief about his job, you knew it was important, you knew it was dangerous. This time around though you couldn’t contain the disappointment. Not only did he sound dismissive, but you’d always had lingering doubts that he didn’t really care much about your skating career. You guess you could understand if that was true, figure skating isn’t usually something all the guys are into – but still, this was the most important competition you had qualified for so far! 

Sighing you slumped down onto the couch. You felt bad for hanging up on him, ultimately you knew it was just the nerves from the upcoming competition feeding into your insecurities and negative emotions. Leon was a good boyfriend, he did care. Besides, maybe it was a good thing if he wouldn’t be there, then he wouldn’t have to watch you flop if it all went to hell. It didn’t matter anyway you couldn’t do anything about the situation and there wasn’t much time, you had to finish packing and get out the door before you would miss your plane. It was only a few days until the competition and there was a lot to be done. Final outfit try-on, practice run-throughs, the works.

The day of the competition things were not going well at all. Your costume was late arriving from the tailor’s, you’d realized you left your makeup bag at home, and to make matters worse your practice runs were abysmal. You kept failing to land jumps, hitting doubles when they were supposed to be triples, and bad timing on the music. 

Your stomach was in knots and you had no idea what was wrong with you. You’d done the routine at home successfully a million times! At this rate, you could pretty much kiss your career goodbye, along with your dignity. 

It was about 5 minutes until your turn was up, it took all of your willpower to hold back the nausea your anxiety was causing. You bounced your leg against the floor and chewed on your nails nervously, not even realizing someone had come up behind you. “Sorry I’m late, Baby.” You’d recognize that voice anywhere, whipping your head around to see him. “Lee, you made it? It's Monday and Halloween!!!! You know what that means! Lots and lots of words below the cut, and none of them the words I promised last week! Halloween is like. My absolute favorite. Very sad I never decorate for it, but it holds a special place in my heart. So I was thrilled to get this request, especially because I’m back on my “the story got out of hand” bullshit and don’t have this week’s fic done If I ever get 2 out in a row it’ll be a miracle I am sorry.

So this started as like HCs and I was gonna do all the Flame Chasers during Halloween, but I, once again, losT CONTROL OF MY WRITING. I just wanted to do a few bullet points for Kalpas, and now I have THIRTY THREE. AND I AM NOT DONE.

So 👏 because I am horrible at posting on time I made the schedule and I still never follow it, and can’t stop myself from going overboard with the Kalpas writing, you’re getting basically a whole story, but it’s in like a list format because I will turn this into another 20k word fic if given the opportunity. Actually, it probably will turn into a full story eventually how many times have I said that? but for now! I present! Way Too Many Thoughts On Halloween Kalpas! (insert Kermit arms here)

Ok, Griseo is obviously not the only kid on base, but because of her and her parents, trick-or-treating on base is a whole thing.

You have the GOOD candy. You know, like king sized bars and plenty of variety. You’re invested

It’s nice to have company, and even if he doesn’t show it at the door, Kalpas is excited to see the kids excited

You leave a random Halloween movie on in the background to watch when you’re not answering the door

Eventually, the kids start coming less frequently

You two just end up watching a whole movie together

he lets you move his arm around however you need to feel safe

and like, you're not gonna leave your safe spot next to him, so you're just stuck there

To movies meant more for kids

Halloweentown, Nightmare Before Christmas you can watch that twice a year, Over the Garden Wall, that sorta thing

Kalpas complains that they’re for kids, but he sits through the whole thing every time

Kalpas refuses to do matching costumes

He doesn’t wear any sort of costume, which you think is mega lame

He is pretty scary on his own though, so you let it slide

Overall, Halloween is the best time of the year

Because of all the ways you get to celebrate

But also, it’s the beginning of colder weather and you can sit next to Kalpas without boiling

It’s also the time of year he’s most likely to take his mask off for you

You’re so happy to decorate, and he’s legally obligated to kiss you when you smile like that

(unrelated HC, if he wants to kiss you but there’s people around, he’ll just stare at you until they leave because he’s being creepy, or you get the hint and go somewhere private. Won’t let people see his face, but is not at all shy at letting them know how much he cares for you)

I do want to do HCs for all the Flame chasers celebrating Halloween at some point, so maybe if I'm feelin spicy and I finish this gosh darn story I was supposed to do like 5 weeks ago I'll do another Halloween post. In the mean time, I hope this will tide you over to next week when I post a story that's so long no one wants to read it!
