Guys not to be judgemental but like. does Saw get good again. genuinely.
#I just finished 4 and hm....I thought 3 was pretty meh#4 is maybe slightly less meh but still pretty meh#I liked 1 and 2 a lot!#but idk. I think John is bad actually and he doesn't actually care about giving meaning to people's lives or whatever#It was kind of believable up until like. the reveal that he was testing Amanda#Because like. oh no you tried to kill a cop who planted evidence on you and ruined your life :(( that's so bad that makes u a murderer!!!#meanwhile there's this other guy fighting for his fucking life because the grief he felt over his son dying in his arms to a drunk driver-#-was a little too violent :((( and he needs to learn to forgive people :(( like what.#Dude didn't even actually hurt anyone either he was just griefstrucken. what#I really hope that's the intended reading. the reason why 4 was a little less meh is because it lent towards that more#Like. very hypocritical of him to be like 'You need to forgive!!' to a guy who lost his son to a drunk driver#When he himself started this thing because his wife's unborn child was accidentally killed by someone. what#Only you can be upset about losing your (unborn mind you) child??? what???#I feel like most of the deaths and stuff in saw 3 where like. the victims were way more like. complicated.#so a lot of them just felt like really unjustified. which is kind of the point I get that Amanda was just killing people.#But it was still a weird shift aha... the only person who deserved to die in saw 3 really was the cop#In saw 4 I was like. Yeah kill them! for more of the deaths . but then it was also complicated because it was a cop doing it.#And also that trap with the wife and husband like. like Oh yeah your husband beat you and your child#But you really gotta appreciate your freedom! so you're impaled with the same spikes your husband is and you gotta pull them out!#like. what. they treat Jill so bad as well it was kind of annoying. but I'm pretty sure that was on purpose#asdfhsdhsdhds#sorry I should like. finish the series before posting about it#Android.txt

Just read this and now I can’t stop thinking about how Bucky would get Gale to finally be comfortable bottoming. Idk I just have a headcanon that at first Gale only tops y’know cos of all the Internalized Homophobia™️…..what do you think?
-🍒
Tumblr media
LOL the way i didn't even register that there was context missing until i saw the second ask (also wait i love the emoji sign off, that's so fun for repeat anons if anyone else wants to do that (/‿\✿))
i'm so torn with my take on this tbh because it varies greatly for me from au to au, but in general canon i definitely think the same; even if it's not 'active' homophobia, he still grows up not acknowledging that part of himself (or even being aware of it, maybe not until he meets john, but i think something deep in him still knows that he feels something when he looks at boys the same way he feels something when he looks at girls).
and he never feels any sorta bad way about john when john bottoms, there's never judgement there, it's just this mental block he can't get over when it comes to himself but he wants to so badly, feels so frustrated that he can't give himself the same kindness and grace he gives john (which john points out the first time they talk about this.)
i think the only thing that would help him grow more comfortable with it/the idea of it is just growing closer to john and realizing he can fully trust him with anything. knowing that john will never judge him or think less of him, knowing that his hands and words will never be anything but gentle towards him, knowing that john loves him unconditionally and is so so patient with him; that would finally be what helps him make that decision.
i don't think he'd tell john far in advance, because he'd be scared of spooking himself out of it. he's probably going back and forth in his head up until the moment he actually decides to do it, but him and john are in bed and john is cupping his face with so much tenderness and kissing him so sweetly and when john reaches for the lube and goes to work himself open, gale's hand unthinkingly settles on john's wrist. mumbles against john's lips, "i think i wanna try it, tonight."
john goes very still and looks at gale with so much warmth and pride because he knows it's such a trust thing for him, his chest is all fuzzy knowing gale is willing to let his guard down with him like this, even if they don't get very far. asks if he's sure, so careful to make sure gale doesn't feel pressured, and gale promises him that he is. i think realistically gale might want to prep himself the first time, because it gives him some control in a situation where he's feeling very out of his comfort zone, but i also love the idea of gale letting john take his time with him, showering him in kisses and love bites and praise to distract while he works him open, lightheaded with the noises the new type of stimulation drags from gale.
it takes gale a bit to get used to it, and john moves slower and more gently than he's done with anything else in his life, and gale's probably pretty tense and nervous this first time, but he ends up liking it a lot more than he expects, and john is obviously thrilled that he has a new way he can dote on gale and make him feel good. he almost can't handle the vision of gale below him, strong legs wrapped around his waist, golden hair splayed out over the pillow, looking up at him with so much trust in between needy messy kisses.
and in my head, once gale is comfortable with it, he bottoms more often than john does because he likes the juxtaposition of being so vulnerable with john, but also knowing that john will let him have control in that position (aside from the days where he doesn't want to think and make decisions, and lets john take the reins.)
he has fun playing around with that type of control too, like as mentioned in a prev. ask, having john sit on his hands, or keeping them in place on his own waist just to feel them tense with restraint when john's holding back, or tying them behind his back when he really wants to make him squirm.
they're both switchy/verse–y, but i think it's just easier physically for gale to bottom since he's got a slightly smaller/more lithe frame, john is more muscular/boxy and probably less flexible so gale bottoming makes quickies and such easier too lol. i think gale is more particular about sex and control and all of that, whereas john is often more than happy to go along with whatever gale decides on, easygoing and eager to please and turned on by literally anything gale does. :^)

can you maybe do a fanfic for mw2 2022 that the reader gets kidnapped and soap or ghost has to save them
OH HOHO HO
THis one is a two-parter!
A/N: SORRY THIS TOOK LIKE FOREVER!!! NOT ONLY WAS I HAVING A WRITER'S BLOCK BUT ALSO TMNT TOOK OVER MY LIFE SO HERE WE GO!! I AM GONNA DO ALL THE REQUESTS I GET I SWEAR!! Without further delay, enjoy!
Took You Long Enough: Part 1
(Soap x F!Reader)
(Trigger warning: light angst, mentions of violence and death) if case idk if anyone need these Moreofthismainlyinpart2 maybe maybe
"I don't see why I can't go with you guys!" You protested to Soap, "you guys need all the help you can get to get those missiles!" You grabbed his arm, as he continued to walk past. It's not in your nature to question orders but this doesn't make sense to you.
"I get it (Y/n) but that's not your choice to make!" Soap whipped around to face you; his face as serious as he could manage. "I don't quite get LT.'s thinking either but it's not our place to question it. Plus, you get the privilege of interrogation against our little drug lady."
"I don't see how that could be helpful... she already told us where the missile is." You shrugged, "if anything, Ghost is the better interrogator. At least more efficient..."
"Efficiency isn't the focus here lass," Soap grasped firmly to your shoulders, "LT trusts you to get some more info on where she is taking Hassan. I trust you to do it if anyone can; it's you."
"But what if-" you said before being pulled into an embrace. Soaps arms wrapped tightly around you but yet so gentle, his warmth making you melt deeper into the hug. He placed one hand firmly upon the top of your head.
"We will be back before you know it, (y/n)."
——————————————
Watching as the boy boarded the heli was bittersweet, to say the least. Soap's talk yesterday did help you get the idea that it wasn't as pointless as you thought. But the lingering fear of something bad happening just around the corner was irking you. To be honest, you could care less about the actual mission, as much as it was your job that wasn't why you wanted to go.
John Mactavish, your sergeant, you had always been fond of. You both knew each other in your last platoon before the 141. He was the one who recommended you to the captain, who surprisingly agreed. To say you two were close was a gross understatement, in your head at least...
You do one final salute as they head up, John with a sly smirk also gives you a small heart with his fingers. You smile, standing there till the heli is no longer in sight. Heading back inside you went into Alejandro's office; you were glad he allows you to use it to gather your thoughts and prep for interrogations. He also states that if you need anything then call for one of his troops. They have been instructed to do as you ask within reasonable means of course. You lean back in the plush chair, writing notes on how you wanted to begin your approach. ————————————————-
To no one's surprise, the drug lord is a tough cookie. In the beginning, not spilling a word. Secondly, you dug into her relationship with Alejandro. Perhaps her getting riled up would have her slip a thing or two. Within the first day, you had managed to get that they didn't stop the trade for Hassan. Despite their Boss being taken hostage.
"No les importa que yo esté aquí. No importa si muero, El Sin Nombre sigue vivo." Valeria spoke, she spoke deeply with a sick grin on her face. "My legacy will live on even if you decide to kill me now. Especially in the stupid states."
"What do you mean?" You grabbed her by the collar, "Where did you send Hassan; what is he planning?"
"Like I'd say anything to you, puta~" you backhand her straight in the face. Grabbing her face and crushing her cheeks with your hand.
"¡Borra esa puta sonrisa de tu cara, zorra!" You growled, "how could you be proud of yourself, you betray your people, Your home!"
"You know nothing of my home." You punched her gut; you watched as her head dropped low. Taking a deep sigh, and taking a break outside would probably help calm your nerves. Opening the container door, you covered your eyes as the sun blinded your vision. Walking just past the guard stationed in front, you rubbed your temples. Quiet footsteps move behind you.
"No need to cover the door," you raised your hand, "I'm gonna hea-" within moments you felt an arm wrapped tightly around your neck and a cloth held over your mouth. They kicked your shins, having using legs no longer your first thought. After harshly struggling you felt your consciousness slip, fading quickly to an empty void.
Upon stirring awake, eyes flutter open. Your head pounding mixed with the coldness of the surroundings. You attempted to move your arms, hearing an unmistakable clanging of metal chains. You were cuffed? Your mind raced, how in the world did this happen? Where were you and how do you get yourself out of this shit hole? Taking a moment to clear up your thoughts, taking a very needed deep breath. You noticed people talking loudly outside the cell. "You know what happens to those two British guys?" Americans... is Graves behind this? "Yeah, I heard they both fled. One was wounded though."
"Serves them right, you don't fuck with the commander!" one laughed aloud, "speaking of which!"
"Where's the girl," Graves's voice sounded stern, he was not here for a happy chit-chat; you knew that much... But once you find out what the hell is going on you're going to murder that man yourself... "Open that cell"
"Yes, commander." Both men said in unison. How the mood dropped, silence so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Broken by the screeching noise on the cell doors. There stood the tall man with a disgruntled face.  You stared in horror as behind him two men pulled an unconscious Alejandro behind him.
"Graves... What have you done?" You stared at him in disbelief... "How could you? After all we have been through!"
"It's nothing personal beautiful~" Graves crossed his arms, leaning against the frame of the cell doors, "Just a change in command, that's all. Daddy's in charge now!" You felt yourself wanting to vomit hearing such foul words exit his mouth. How crude... Classic for him and his people if you were honest. "Now with how gracious I am, I am giving you a choice. Get out of this heaping shit pile and work beside me, or rot in this rusty pothole!"
"Graves..." You stood up, arms forced down to your side due to chain restrictions, "Where is Soap and Ghost?"
"You worried about those wanna-bes? Those traitors?" Graves chuckled, "Fine, I'll tell ya! Ghost, man is probably running for his life right now from my men! Begging for mercy! I can imagine it myself." You clenched your fist, the thought in your head that this is what he has thought about us this whole time... Our brothers in arms your ass... "And Lil'Soapy boy! Oh," He rubbed his hand on his chin...  "My men shot him up pretty well! I wouldn't see it impossible that he's bleeding out in the streets right now!"
"YOU BASTARD!" You lunged forward, pulled back once again by the chains. Grave's laugh haunted you, not a hint of remorse just utter amusement. "WE TRUSTED YOU! YOU AND YOUR TEAM WERE OUR BROTHERS!"
"Keyword, 'were' my dear! " Graves eyes within a moment were back to those of a dead cold killer, smiling like a greedy bastard. "You see, 'Brothers' was revoked when they weren't so willing to uphold the chain of command. Now tell me," Graves walks forward to you, "What happens when a small puppy barks at the big vicious dog?"
"What?" you snarled, and he extended his hand. Grabbing your face and pressing down your cheeks so tightly as to crush your jaw.
"You. Get. Bit..." Graves lets go, swiping his leg under your feet. You fell back to the floor with a harsh thud. "Now, I'd love to chat more... but I have a lot of work to do!"  he laughed once again before heading to the cell door. "Say. Let me know when you take me up on that offer earlier. Still stands till whenever I guess!"
"Go fuck yourself Graves!" You yelled back at him, "You'll pay for this! I SWEAR IT!"
"Tell me when~" He grinned, "Close her up boys!" As the doors closed you were once again left to your thoughts... Your head was empty, no matter how much you tried only one thing haunted you...
"John..." You hugged your knees close, resting your head as tears unknowingly flew down your face. "I-I knew I should have come with you..."

80s jesus 'verse disciple headcanons pt. 3 (jesus, judas, jb)
my sincere apologies i know i said i'd bost judas "in a little bit" about. 2 weeks ago. here they are. @ that one anon who asked me about judas, my brain works very slowly, there he is
JESUS
ok starting off jesus is gender wacky. idk what he is i use he/him for him but calling him a man feels off. he's my favorite gender identity which is wack.
being somewhat divine does that to you you don't really care for the labels society has completely made up. ANYWAYS
i don't even know what i'm gonna write for jesus i'm sure you know what kinda guy jesus was.
okay. grew up in nazareth with his parents miriam and yosef and his siblings
(don't ask me why im using the hebrew form of names for the parents but not jesus himself. it's because we have a hundred marys.)
he has three siblings, two sisters and one brother, and he's older than all of them with a pretty big age gap, he was kind of an accidental pregnancy
(or, y'know, the son of god. but who knows ! )
had a relatively normal life compared to everyone else. i guess reparations for how well his life went last time idk.
jesus is also the only one out of them all who has somewhat of a sense that they've all existed together somewhere before ? he doesn't clearly remember any of it, but he did recognize his disciples when he met them.
he also has a lot of nightmares. they're vague, but very painful.
anyways aside from that pretty decent upbringing. he always knew that he wanted to help people as much as he can.
he learned carpentry from his dad and although he did study political science he ended up just running his father's shop.
however of course he also runs his organization ! which i really struggle to pick a main cause for because like it's jesus ? i feel like he'd care about anything that helps people he's just trying to make the world a little better.
idk. i'll think about it.
before he was doing that he was doing a lot of activist and volunteer work alongside his cousin john ! you guys know cousin john !
and therefore already had a lot of peers and a lot of friends who then followed him and supported him. the first being andrew, who was very close with john and was there when there was just talk between the three of them and maybe some more friends about jesus starting his own cause
aside from carpentry, which he obviously likes and is very good at, jesus is actually a little bit of a creative in general.
he just started with woodcarving with his leftover supply for fun and then slowly moved on to clay and occasionally even sculpting.
likes to give stuff shape anyways
cares so much for his whole team and always reminds them to be kind to themselves and take care of themselves however he has not practiced self care a single DAY in his entire LIFE
will overwork himself to exhaustion if someone doesn't physically drag him away. has before.
for an all loving creature he has the emotional intelligence of a doorknob
dgmw he's great. he's kind to everyone and all that. he's understanding.
still has not known what the fuck is going on a day in his entire life. each time any of his friends looks the slightest bit off he comes to the wildest possible conclusion.
most of the time said conclusion being that it's his fault
he might be a tiny bit self-centered. usually not in a positive way towards himself either, it just means he thinks he's the cause of everything bad happening in his life.
feels like the world revolves around him, just in a very pessimistic way
but he's got a lot on his plate can you blame him.
love how i went "yeah he's relatively doing pretty well" and then gave him a bunch of issues lol sorry jesus
JUDAS
welcome, queers, i know you're here for him, here he is
judas is an only child and comes from a very rich family.
his parents own an insurance company and have like a bunch of buildings they're renting.
generational wealth, basically. it's all inherited and they're making a shit ton of money out of nothing it's all already set up.
judas' family is also very religious.
and i know that so far two out of the two times i've said that it means the parents are assholes but i swear it's not like that james and john's parents are also religious it just wasn't relevant.
but yeah judas' parents are, in fact, assholes. judas was very involved at the temple from very early childhood.
which unfortunately led to him being abused by religious officials that he could supposedly trust and grew up with.
especially once he started growing into his teens and came to the realization that he very much Does Not like women.
which his parents didn't love either.
somewhere around that time he started to distance himself from his family, especially once he moved away for university. judas studied political science but halfway through kind of changed career plans and double majored in journalism
which was very demanding but he did it anyways !
in university he meets jesus. jesus is in his third year when he's in his first and helps him out a lot. they're both very politically active too and always meet at protests and charity events etcetcetc so, yeah, they know each other. and sure there's something there but judas is very closed off and they drift apart when jesus graduates.
oh, judas also has depression, he was diagnosed at age ten, his family was very ashamed of that as well.
in his last year of university, he falls out with his parents once and for all.
they already weren't close, judas was very hurt by them and obviously he had a lot of personal issues with them but to him the line came when he found out about a lot of things that were going on behind closed doors in his parents' company, they were scamming a lot of innocent people and also partnering with a lot of . really just scum of the earth kind of people.
judas got rightfully very upset and had absolutely zero reason to keep covering up any of this. so he didn't ! and obviously that was very disastrous for the company.
judas gets disowned. not legally, but his parents cut all ties with him. not that he wasn't going to do that himself anyways.
obviously though as a consequence he suddenly has very very limited money. luckily for him he's currently in a relationship with his guy, isaac, who's very happy to let him move into his apartment. it would benefit him too to share the rent anyways. as it turns out, isaac's not a great guy ! judas himself isn't too well either so they have a very weird very unhealthy very codependent relationship and though they fight a lot it takes judas two years until he finally finds the strength to walk out on him.
judas didn't think that through very well because he doesn't really have anywhere to go. to his luck, guess who he runs into !
it's jesus. of course it's jesus this is the dolokhoded bible where the main character is still jesus, no matter how much i love to talk about james and simon.
jesus is on his way to a meeting with his team and he's like hey why don't you come along. and judas does. and that's it, he meets the whole gang, he ends up rooming with andrew and philip for a while before he gets his own place.
and, y'know. he does, eventually, in an excruciatingly slow process that tests the patience of all of their friends, get together with jesus.
okay i prob have to write this too uhh sad stuff ahead judas attempts once.
he's spiraling and overworking himself and hiding it pretty well. has some petty fight with john that jesus scolds him about and then has another fight with jesus over that and overall it's not going swell.
strangely enough it's john who decides to check on him after that. he has not gotten along with judas a day in his life but he could tell how upset he was and jesus is hurt and also a little petty and isn't gonna go do it himself so he decides he might as well. to his horror he stumbles into. well. yeah
he survives.
he moves in with jesus, john and matthew for a while after that.
(a lot of them are rooming they don't have much money)
goes back to therapy too.
okay sad stuff over. it gets better. he's doing well. gets a job at an independent news page and becomes quite known among his circles for his work too.
JOHN THE BAPTIST
or JB.
he does not baptize anyone. his first name is john baptist. don't ask me the logic of being named after himself when he hasn't existed yet for people to be named after him ok making an au of a defining characteristic of current human society is fucking difficult
jesus' cousin. his mother, elisheba, is miriam's sister. she's a good fifteen years older than her, and was in her fourties the year that both jesus and jb were born so her getting pregnant was a bit of a surprise.
grew up with jesus and they're very close. they studied together and they theorized together and they discussed everything together.
very big on environmental activism. and by consequence very very anti-capitalism. very anti-fast fashion, for multiple reasons. also vegan :).
jb genuinely believes the human race is the universe's biggest abomination and we should just go extinct. he's not wrong.
he doesn't pick favorites (but he does and they're andrew and philip they're his favorites)
philip was sort of his right hand
he's kind of there to encourage all the shit jesus can't if he doesn't want absolute chaos and zero planning. give simon a pat on the back for getting into fights with racists and all that.
generally he's a little more radical that jesus is. they don't agree on everything but they both respect each other's stances.
he's so well read. it's obvious too, they're all educated obviously, but this guy talks and you can tell he knows his shit. it's very impressive.
and not even in the sense of being well informed and reading theory he knows literature he knows art he's so cultured and i don't like using the word cultured because it often brings to mind a very western very white very high class perception of "culture" but that's not what i'm talking about here.
jb calls himself an atheist in a more political sense. he believes that people shouldn't rely on some higher force to give humanity and morality substance and should instead search for meaning inside those things alone, otherwise they won't have the right motivations to be moral and therefore their beliefs will have no strong foundation.
he grew up jewish but his relationship with his faith is very personal to him and stays between him and god. he doesn't care to discuss it with anyone, except maybe jesus a few times.
sort of everyone's go-to person for advice. he's there to talk the stupid out of them.
his mother was a seamstress, and he learned from her. he likes to make a lot of his own clothes.
professionally, however, he's a translator. he speaks hebrew, english, greek, russian and arabic. (also a little bit of french and german. he's not qualified to translate those though) (is constantly in the process of learning more)
he just fixated on different alphabets as a teenager a little too hard.

I'm about halfway through La La Land. Really wanted to like it. I mean, it's a musical. I like musicals. But I didn't know much about it other than that.
Review/liveblog below the cut.
Started suspecting in the opening number that I might not like it, since the opening hinted that it would be an ode to the LA film scene. (Ooh, LA film people talking about how great LA film is--I'm not an actor, I'm not a filmmaker, hopefully this movie will have something more interesting to hook me in.)
Oh, good! It's also going to be about jazz!
Huh. Neither Emma Stone nor Ryan Gosling are very good singers. They are okay at dancing. Now, I hear that these days it's important that anybody in a musical be an actor first and the other things second. But if music and dancing are part of the storytelling, it's important that they be as strong as the acting IMO.
Okay. Now we're back to jazz. He's going to explain to her why jazz is so awesome. He takes her to a club.. Except ... Hmmm. This is uncomfortable. Why are we seeing jazz exclusively through the eyes of this white dude? We see black musicians, but they are just in the background. He plays at a club. Again, black people are furnishings. John Legend gets a line. Then he gets some more lines.
Around now this review of the first half of the movie turns into a live blog of the second half of the movie.
Yay John Legend sings. Alas it's on a stage and not part of the storytelling, but background to the storytelling. Idk I can't really watch this scene too closely because of the strobing lights.
(Aside: Where has she been getting the money to pay for the dresses, the high heels, and now the one woman show? There's a limit to how much you can put on a credit card, isn't there?)
The dialogue in this movie often feels stilted. Is this a stylistic choice?
Now they're arguing. He doesn't like the music he's been playing with John Legend, which is interesting, because it seems like he was enjoying it and she was the one who wasn't enjoying it. Is any of this real or they just like super enmeshed and codependent?
Eh I've completely divested myself emotionally from this movie. I'm going to start fast forwarding to see what happens. It's not like there's musical numbers anyway.
Photo shoot. More strobing lights.
Why do we see him perform, but we don't see her perform?
Oh look they're fighting again. Do I give a fuck? No.
I don't get it. Is it supposed to be a fun musical or A Star is Born?
We have gone half an hour without a genuine musical number.
Emma Stone is singing. This is a musical again! Too bad this song, like the others, is just so-so. (Idk maybe it was Kristin Chenoweth they would sound amazing?) I feel like this song is supposed to be the big emotional payoff for a strong storyline, but unfortunately the storyline hasn't been that strong. (I mean to be fair I have fast forwarded through like the last 20 minutes but that was because the story was already meandering and sucking.)
They break up. Unfortunately, I never bought their love story beyond the initial crush, so I don't care. (I'm not saying I don't believe that these people *could* love each other deeply. I'm saying that the story skipped over the part after the first kiss where they got to truly know each other and fall in love, so I'm not convinced of it.)
What the fuck? in the alternative "what if their lives have been perfect" montage, Ryan Gosling just waves off Keith like he's some kind of subordinate? Like, arguably one of the most talented musicians we have seen in this whole movie? Gross.
Then in the part that is an explicit visual ode to the golden age of movie musicals, when they are on that colorful soundstage resembling a cartoonish LA, I actually lose track of where Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling are mixed in with all the other dancers. That should not be possible if the correct cinematographic choices were made.
Also I think it should be illegal to market movies as romances when the characters don't end up together in the end.
So yeah I guess this movie got all the accolades because the people who give the accolades and awards see themselves in this story.
But seriously what the fuck now that I've seen this movie I feel like I've been lied to for the past six years.

Wouldn’t say I’m ‘boycotting’ the port, but I’m just not interested in playing it and idk how much the modern fandom will enjoy it? It’s sort of the edgier(for lack of a better term)older brother in the series, and I’m not sure how everyone’s going to take the violence against women thrown around, especially in the Mexico chapter which gives it a whole host of other problems. Then there’s Dutch’s gang of Native Americans you have to kill near the end, which neither looks or feels good.
To clarify I know this isn’t an rdr problem. Game of thrones and Berserk are also created by males writers who think peppering rape into the stories to make them “more realistic” and “gritty” but I’m just tired of it in my soul. To give credit where it’s due rdr2 does improve on this as well as how it treats its non-white characters, but I wouldn’t want to go back yk
I can understand that. Personally, I would like to think some of the worst moments would be taken out, but Rockstar clearly doesn't care. I can't say what was done for the legit "remasters" from the company, but I would hope there would be some updates. However, I am not confident that a remake would actually remove these scenes. Even worse, I think so many people are going to say, "so what?" regarding the women and treatment of POC characters, and that's the sad thing. RDR 2 has the issues as well. I definitely want the game out again, BUT it DOES need updates for SURE, and I 100% support you. Additionally: *TRIGGER WARNING FOR SERIOUS S.Assualt!!!!! I avoid anything graphic but still want to put the warning there!
At one of the ranches you go and rescue, almost everyone was brutalized in some way. The sheriffs say they've never seen it anything like that. This was towards men and women with the violence of one thing? All I'll say is that RDR 2 does a call back to it with Bill Williamson and how he threatens Kieran. Apparently, the scene was SO BAD that Rockstar wasn't sure if they could publish it. I definitely agree with you about some of the stuff in Mexico. I was extremely uncomfortable with it. John is similarly very uncomfortable and calls it out, but it's still there. The way Native Americans were treated was definitely an issue, too. I think the game is definitely worth playing with some updates. The story itself is decent, imo and I love John and many of the other characters, but I so agree with you.

Okay so all this is basically just my personal thoughts from knowledge osmosis of vampires in media, but I WILL say that some of this was particularly inspired by Thought Potato's video Vampire Biology Explained | The Science of Vampirism (not linking bc I don't know if links still bork stuff -- look it up if you wanna, it's a cool interpretation of vampires)
This once again became long, so read more time
A little backstory for her:
So Patty was not always a vampire -- she was attacked and turned when she was in medical school (haven't decided if by one vampire or a group), was found by someone else nearly bled out and promptly taken to a hospital. She was in a coma for a day or two, and when she woke up, she wasn't human anymore.
More importantly, she was hungry.
Patty sinks her teeth into the closet thing with blood in it before she can really register what's going on, whether it's living or dead -- and panics once she does, understandably!
She books it back to her shitty little apartment and just… takes some time to process.
It soon becomes very apparent to her that she can't just not drink blood, and so she changes her major from doctor to pathologist or however that works, idk I've never been to med school so she can be around a constant supply of it at all times without having to take it from a living person. She doesn't want to hurt anyone, or worse, force them to go what she's going through.
Also she's still kind of… alive? Maybe? Her heart's still beating and she has a pulse, but it's very slow. She doesn't know either and jokes about it on occasion ("technically I'm legally dead")
With that out of the way, I can now say whatever:
Patty covers up her bite scars with makeup. Does the same to the bodies she sucks the blood out of
In addition to the neck, other common biting spots are the shoulders, arms, and wrists
Patty uses both the top and bottom fangs when she feeds. It's more efficient!
Being short in this case is v advantageous because she can just hold an arm above her head and let the blood drain into her mouth lol
She has claws too :>
She can still eat normal food, but her body doesn't get much from doing so
Patty's fangs are decently sized, but not as big as Streber's; his fangs are obviously fake and meant to be goofy, while hers are real and fully capable of piercing skin. It works with their personalities too, since Streber is very showy while Patty is more reserved. Also if she had fangs his size she'd just constantly be tearing up her face mask lol
Speaking of, she has to be careful when putting it on, but otherwise putting a hole through the mask is rarely an issue for her
The sun will not kill her, but it will give her a bad sunburn real quick
Also in general vampires are not weak to garlic (that's just a myth), but humorously Patty is naturally allergic to it and hates the smell of it, so combined with her heightened Vampire Senses™ even just being around garlic will make her feel sick
Her reflection is visible in modern day mirrors and cameras, but she's invisible in older (re: made/backed with silver) ones
If she goes a while without drinking blood, Patty becomes tired and delirious, escalating until she's mindlessly biting into both the dead and the living in search of food
This is actually how John and Jack found out she was a vampire, unfortunately. It'd been a few days since Patty was able to feed (low bodies in the morgue + kept being interrupted), so when she was alone with John she bit into his shoulder without thinking
Don't worry, he's fine! It takes a lot of lost blood before someone is even at risk of becoming a vampire, and hearing John yell snapped Patty back into lucidity. She still feels bad about it
Semi-related, but you can't turn a corpse into a vampire, it has to be alive
John for his part forgave her after the whole "good God vampires are real" thing wore off. His shoulder hurt for a few days tho
Jack offered himself up as a blood donor in case Patty ever needed it, but she really doesn't want to risk anything. She's... considered it, however
She can turn into a bat!! She has no idea how and she's not going to question it
She can't talk while in bat mode however, and is limited to screeches and cute bat noises
Said this to you already but putting it here for posterity: while in bat form Patty will sometimes perch on John's and Jack's heads. Jack's flattop is the perfect spot to lay down while John's hair is very fluffy and cozy
Yes, there's actually a difference in taste between live and dead blood! It's kinda like pizza right out of the oven vs cold pizza straight from the fridge
Patty tried to suck Bob's blood out of morbid curiosity, but immediately spit it out bc it tasted like pure salt and sugar. She wonders how he didn't die from heart failure years ago
When she's off-shift Patty wears a scarf over her mouth to hide her fangs -- the exception to this is in October, of course -- and passes it off as her being cold
Which, she is; she's a vampire after all, her body's naturally cold to the touch. Her scrubs help mask it, and in addition to the scarf she always wears long sleeves
Specifically inspired by those scenarios where Dexter gets back in his body and just hangs around the morgue (love those btw), he'll kill things and give them to Patty so she has fresher blood to drink. She really appreciates it :> (yes I took this idea from @exist101, it's great okay-)
*jazz hands* here ya go 🧛‍♀️

I know DFF is a few days away BUT I have some brainworms regarding John encountering Soulless!Sam and wanted to know your take on them! How do you think John would feel about it, i.e. would he see Sam as an entirely different person or still as his son just different? Would their relationship actually improve because Sam just doesn't really care about the same things that caused their conflicts in the first place? Or would it be even worse between them?
I had this for a few days but between one thing and another didn't get around to it till now, sorry Dove <333
GOD this is such an interesting question. I think one of the massive major things that would affect however John interacted with soulless!Sam would be the degree to which the other Campbells were involved. If they were standoffish, then John would be caught in a place of thinking that it was technically good for Sam to have a safety net of family, especially who'd understand his soulless ass, plus that would free John up to not have to nursemaid the kid 24/7 (take that with a grain of salt plz lol). So he'd run kind of hot-and-cold, which Sam either wouldn't give a fuck about or it would annoy him but in a way less emotional way than he used to get annoyed, and they'd have some knock-down drag-out fights that were also far more satisfying than the ones they used to have. Soulless!Sam isn't the same as sensitive normal mean as hell when he wants to be Sam, so they could have an Honest Fight about shit.
If the Campbells were wary of him and protective of Sam, THEN John would get possessive. Growling about how none of the fuckin' Campbells were there when they were needed and John had to drag these children all over god's country by himself, and he raised 'em up to protect themselves, and look how good they turned out. Sam would fucking LOVE. IT. Partly because it's fun to see what finally got Dad snarling and snapping to keep Sam close and defend his EVERY move, but also because it would mess up the Campbells' somewhat haughty sense of familial duty, and the whole thing's just a morass of bad blood and nasty imprecations and Sam 100% fucks his dad raw about it.
Which is the point where John has to admit to himself that soulless Sam is, well, soulless. Because Sam has no intention of keeping this quiet and like sits next to John at breakfast at the Campbell stronghold the next morning and starts groping his dick under the table and everyone can tell. John's already a little punchdrunk bc he's still trying to comprehend what the fuck just happened last night, it certainly wasn't tender lovemaking, and the Campbells are all extremely uncomfortable, and then Samuel and John get into a massive fight where Mary gets brought up (never good) and John decides to leave and soulless!Sam is faced with a decision here of whether to stay Campbell or go Winchester, and actually idk what the answer to that would be lol

Hi Sevi 👋 I'm just popping in to say I'm watching The Mentalist and it's such a snake media, but not in a good way haha, I think it could actually trigger a lot of loyalists because a lot of the bad guys hurt their own people, sometimes for somebody else's sake, but most of the times it's greed, ambition, money, etc. Also, just a thought but have you ever considered a strange type of bird primary for Patrick? Maybe it's just a part of built system that snakes can have, but he does have it. There's his deduction system that people act this x way and it shows this x. But there's also a type of 'killers act this way, liars act this way and then bcs of morality has to get this punishment' system. He also has this bits and pieces of information to explain the world and people. In second season he asks a man was it worth to off his wife's killer, and you sence that he would drop all of his revenge if the man would have said no. The only thing is, I think Patrick doesn't change or update his systems, if he's wrong he brushes it off with his secondary and he's fine. I guess it was a long time since you saw the series, but I'm just throwing this in. Idk what do you think?
I think we have seen very different tv shows. Which is fine, everyone comes at things from a different perspective. But if I'm sure of anything, I'm sure that Patrick Jane is a double snake. When he asks the man if taking revenge for his wife was worth it, I see it as idle curiosity. Something along the lines of 'I don't really care what my life is gonna be like then, but here's an opportunity to get some insight, why not use it?'
As for what you call his deduction system, it's what happens when a snake sec hones one of their talents, gets a shit ton of experience, and then verbalises what they're doing for other people. The same way I can write a post about different personalities typically found in a group I'm teaching, Patrick Jane can tell you exactly why that person is lying, or that person is afraid of another, etc. It's not part of a primary, because it's all about the 'how', and not about the 'why' at all.
I'm not sure what Patrick's stance on punishment actually is, but I don't think morality plays into it. At least not morality in the sense of 'you violated the rules of society which means you must get punished for it'. His revenge is much more savage, much more personal, much more snake-coloured: 'You hurt me so I'm gonna destroy you. It is my right because you killed my persons'. And I resonate with it on a level I don't usually acknowledge. Underneath all the knowledge that reality cannot work like this, I feel a deep satisfaction that it does for him. Because he is right. He did the right thing, and it is right that the show lets him get away with it. That's why 'The Mentalist' is, at heart, a snake primary show.
In general, I don't think he cares if another criminal goes free. You can see that clearly in the episode where he looses his memory. He only learns to think different because of Lisbon. Which is another indicator for snake primary. We change our 'system', our 'morality' for our people. Not because of facts or information, but because our people give us these facts and information.
And that episode, and also everything after he actually gets Red John, shows us that he does, indeed, change his system. For Lisbon, and only for her. I don't want to spoil the end too much if you haven't seen it yet, but there is a scene where he asks Lisbon to run away with him, just the two, and he means it. He doesn't need anything or anyone else but her, and that's pure snake, primary and secondary.

i would google it but i only trust ur insight/opinions/facts. why was amanda in so many traps was it before she became an apprentice or was it punishment? also ps havent seen the movies - just very interested in lesbian amanda young . pps pls share any extra hcs u have about her ppps love u
hi lovely!! so amanda has technically only been put in one trap - the reverse beartrap - but she pretended to be a victim of the nerve gas house to keep daniel matthews safe, as his survival was required for another game (there's always like three fucking games going on at once in these movies). her apprenticeship was a test, because the only thing john kramer likes more than fucking with strangers is fucking with his employees, but that was a psychological test as opposed to "let's put some guys in a contraption and see what happens." and her failure there was due to hoffman's interference. if any of that makes sense to you as someone who has not seen the movies.
but! on a lighter note, here are some random/various hcs i have for her, some of which are vaguely in the realm of the jigsquad universe as opposed to canon because i want mandy to live. idk if all of these will make sense to a non saw watcher but i am ALWAYS happy to discuss my beloved amanda young:
she's a lesbian. obviously. genuinely surprised that this isn't canon within the films like i thought this was all something we just knew about amanda young.
she's a vegetarian.
despite her...choice of profession, she doesn't enjoy horror movies that much. she says it's because everything is so obviously fake or whatever, but they just genuinely freak her out. she's dealt with enough terrifying shit in her own life and witnesses man made horrors every day (even if she DID help make said horrors), she doesn't need to deal with it in the movies too. she DOES like dramas and documentaries though and usually goes down one of those roads when it's her pick for movie night.
immaculate head game. has lynn seeing shrimp colours.
even before john taught her his engineering knowledge, she's just been naturally good at fixing things up and likes getting to take care of stuff around the house or get the Team Jigsaw Van working again whenever it breaks down. she's good with her hands and isn't afraid of getting dirty, no innuendo intended.
she's smart and got good grades in school but her circumstances and home life and mental illnesses made it difficult for her to apply herself in a way that the education system demanded of her. she definitely did not enjoy the institution of school but i think she liked learning and developing new skills.
on a similar note, she loves to read and will devour anything from 1000 page classics to shitty romantic paperbacks to essays to poems to biographies. she doesn't sleep well so she usually just reads in bed for hours or while they're hanging around waiting for victims to wake up so that the games can start. when she moves in with adam and lawrence and gains access to lawrence's expansive rich educated person library...it's a big moment for her.
she's not particularly motherly or sisterly and doesn't really Do Friends outside of team torture and maim, but she checks in with daniel matthews every so often just to make sure he's doing okay. she doesn't regret what she did to his father but she does feel bad that daniel was harmed - both physically and mentally - because of it. and he's always sweet to her even if he has his suspicions about what amanda's done and she hopes that he'll grow up to be better than his father, better than her, better than all of them.
she's got issues around relationships and also the idea of having a home so it takes her time to actually acknowledge that she lives with adam and lawrence and is dating lynn, which means she spends a long time refusing to use the keys they give her to get through the front door. instead she just picks locks or climbs through windows no matter how many times she gets told that she's welcome whenever and can just walk in. she does get over that eventually (much to the relief of adam's paranoia and lynn's protective mothering) but for awhile there they did all just have to get used to mandy climbing in through a window.
she does Not Like people being in her personal space or touching her or going near her with sharp objects so she cuts her own hair and then eventually gets adam to do it. neither of them really know what they're doing but she's not that concerned with how it turns out. lynn thinks it's pretty no matter what and adam always jokingly calls her rock star once they're done sweeping hair off the floor, and that's enough for amanda.
in an ideal world where people live and they eventually retire out of the murder trap business, amanda and lynn start working with jill at the clinic. i think amanda would take a long time to realise that recovery is possible even without twisted jigsaw games but i do think she has a good heart despite everything and she'd be surprisingly understanding with those who have been through similar shit to her. let her heal from her trauma and come to see that humans can be good and untangle herself from the twisted mindset that john gave her.

No, you did not think Tyson inspired IKYWT lmao😭 it seems like you've always been firmly solid on your Jake truthering (which I respect, even though I lean more towards the "it's an amalgamation of all her failed "red" relationships up to the point; John, Jake, Harry (seemed to dedicate/associate it with him after the fact), and fuck maybe even Martin).
You and your anon just emphasised how much he was eye-fucking her in this performance and he just... wasn't. His eyes were locked as hell on something, but I do not think that constitutes eye-fucking. Like my interpretation of eye-fucking is like... letting your eyes roam their body and giving bedroom eyes and shit. Not looking like you're about to murder them.
I think your other evidence was that his "team" planted that she had written about him, but like... some random page 6 employee could've come up with that on the spot and then put it out like.
I try not to say with definitive fact that she's dated/hooked up with someone unless they, or someone who would reasonably know (and is reliable), says shit on main (e.g., Taylor confirming joe 1.0 and her dated during the breakup, Ashley Tisdale saying one of her ex boyfriends used to date taylor swift) because while I enjoy being nosey, I'd prefer not to be nosey about shit she doesn't want people privy too.
Like, I don't care about who she wrote Wildest Dreams about because it doesn't matter and she hasn't hinted (unless you buy into the skarsgaard theory). But obviously I'm invested in who like, All Too Well is about. Yk?
oh lol 🤷🏻‍♀️ fair enough I am not gonna disagree with u there because I can’t remember what he does in the video and I can’t be fucked to go watch it again.
I actually really like your IKYWT being an amalgamation of bad idea boyfriends/hookups interpretation! That does make a lot of sense. I think I prefer that to my Jake truthering even.
I also see your point re not assuming people had a thing in general but I also sorta disagree because in Swiftdom (but even like in general celeb fandoms) it gets a little ridiculous sometimes. Like we don’t need to know and we rarely would know the intricacies of each relationship but we can presume some kind of relationship was taking place a lot of the time. Martin and Matty 1.0 are great examples of shit I truthered for YEARS only to have it confirmed on main. Lainey’s Evan truthering was confirmed in an Evan expose lol. There are a couple other boys she was seeing - presumably very casually - such as for example Hozier, who she was papped going on a few dates with (they were 1:1 things and they never released anything together and they’re no longer friends so idk seems like a few dates that never really went anywhere to me) and Douglas Booth and such.
re Wildest Dreams - Taylor herself said it’s about her stance on love at the time and not inspired by one specific person, and I believe her lol because it’s tbh pretty clearly a fantasy scenario. Harry seemed to think it’s about him lol and she seemed to tell him it’s not based on that one unreleased song so if she was telling Harry it’s not about him and she says it isn’t one relationship then let’s just assume that’s the truth 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

thoughts after watching ftwd s4 for the first time:
- I prefer the old intro. the new one defo matches the new vibe of the show but I don't love it. has breaking bad vibes
- luciana being magically back with the group is like.. okay? another fun convienice. i'm actually glad she's back (not that she did much this season lbr) it just woulda been nicer to actually see how they found her and all that
- don't love the timeskip. they give us a bit of info in flashbacks but that's not enough imo, I would prefer we follow them from the dam exploding, like I wanna see all the shit they go through. the main show is good like that
- nick's death HIT fr. i teared up like five times during the ep, some of the times nothing even sad was happening it was just knowing he was gonna die that got me, and then I proper cried for the last couple minutes of the ep. I do like his death and I think the circumstances of it, it happening just as he's about to figure shit out, makes it hurt even more which I hate bc ow but I love bc if a death doesn't hit then what's the point.
- I do think tho that charlie shooting him from where she was stood wasn't my faaave like her being the one to kill him bc she's scared and just as he's sitting and minding his business is fine but idk something about the way she was stood right in front of him isn't the best, like maybe if she was behind him or she walked around a corner and quickly fired bc she was scared that woulda been better?? idk
- it makes me sad that nick didn't generally have much of an impact in the flashbacks like, to see him die that early in the season but then to still have him show up in later eps coulda been interesting I think if he had more to do but he didn't
- I wasn't stoked about having morgan around but I actually didn't mind him. I feel like it was just nice to have someone familiar in a season where things have changed so much from what we're used to idk
- I don't know fully how I feel about the present day and flashback thing it had going on for a while. part of me thinks it's a cool way to do things and another part of me is like what was the point in that idk. I think it woulda been better if they were flashing back to scenes at a place we as the viewers were more attached to. like I dont care about that stadium, I have no attachments to it, so knowing that they were gonna lose it and flashing back to it doesn't do much bc why would I care that they're no longer living at a place that I've never even seen before. idk
- I liked the way madison's death was done. that was a good use of flashbacks imo. like seeing her in the past but not in the present scenes was cool. I already knew she was gonna be dead so maybe knowing that made me like it more than I would have if I didn't know, bc it becomes pretty clear that she's dead as soon as you see she's not in the present scenes and idk maybe that would ruin it for some ppl. also I do think killing both her and nick in the same season was.. A Choice
- alicia, al and morgan are probs my faves going forward. charlie is fine, john is fine, june switches between fine and annoying, i wish luciana and strand had more to do, strand's vlice is starting to annoy me, idc about anyone else
- this season did a lot of introducing new characters and I don't know how I feel about that. like obviously every season introduces new ppl but with this season it almost felt like they either killed off or sidelined most of the characters from prev seasons in favour of new characters who under normal circumstances I probs would have loved right away but bc they felt like replacements it took me a minute to warm up to them
- the colour change for the before and after scenes was good but did it really need to look that ugly like I get, it's happy before and gloomy after but there's gloomy and then there's you might as well just make it black and white. I got used to it as the season went on but its defo a lil ugly
- rated this season 3.5 stars. it has the potential to go up to 4 or down to 3 whenever I rewatch. a lot of this post was complaining but there was some good stuff in there like 4.03, 4.08 and 4.10. morgan was cool, alicia and morgan were a good duo, alicia and charlie are an interesting duo, john and june have some cute moments, al grew on me a lot through the season
- there was also a lot of stuff I don't really have much to say about like I didn't love it and I didn't hate it, it was just.. happening idk.
- I didn't give a fuck about the vultures or that woman who kept killing ppl and writing on faces. the villains in this season were just not that good imo
- I actually feel like rewatching while knowing everything that happens has the potential to make me like it more bc I'll know to expect the massive difference in vibe to the prev seasons bc on first watch it was like.. oh wtf is this and was kinda jarring idk.
- i'm defo feeling like s1-3 is gonna be peak ftwd in part bc of the general vobe change but also I think nick (and madison) not being in the show is very noticeable

Iceman!
do I like them:
Yes! Look, I know he's an annoying dork but have you considered that I too am annoying and I too am a dork?
5 good qualities:
He's smart. Smarter than people assume because he's always saying the dumbest things
He's kind.
He's creative, he makes sculptures and they're really good. He's an artist.
Connected to the previous one but he is just absurdly talented with his powers.
He's brave. Granted he is nearly impossible to kill so he doesn't risk a lot that often, but he's courageous as hell.
3 bad qualities:
His jokes suck and his fashion sense is terrible.
He shoots himself in the foot a whole bunch.
He's presumably a not great boyfriend...? Like, all his relationships fall apart and its not just the straight ones. Also he's lonely, almost always single and he HATES it. So what's going on there? By all accounts, he's a catch: he's nice, got broad interests, he's got money and he's hot - it's very clear that in universe he's supposed to be very attractive. So what gives? I think he's maybe just not all that much fun to be in a relationship with, probably because he's rarely that genuine with anybody.
favourite episode/etc:
I really love his storyline in the 90s with Emma taking over his body and the fall out from that. It's the one with the very blatant subtext that falls just short of saying he's gay because they weren't allowed at the time. Also it dives into his relationship with his dad which I find genuinely really upsetting. I also genuinely loved his 2017 and 2018 solo series.
otp:
Pyro (St. John Allerdyce). I can't help it I'm sorry.
brotp:
I like the Amazing Friends (Firestar & Spiderman), and his friendships with the O5, Kitty and Rogue. I also really like him with Bishop and I wished we'd got more of that in Marauders (although that one could easily not be platonic.. that said I feel like he's a bit too nerdy to be Bishop's type, but then again he's probably chaotic enough... who knows?).
ot3:
I actually did write him, St. John and Shinobi as having had a (non-explicit) threesome for some unknown reason...? It made sense at the time, and Bobby and Shinobi still had their situationships with Christian going on in that fic. Just one big poly disaster.
notp:
I don't think I gave any big "no way not ever" ships for Bobby, aside from not liking the straight ones for obvious reasons. I will say I'm not on board with him and deadpool..? I also don't really care about Christian as yet.
You think you've got problems. My fave's canon boyfriend is a bit boring. Think about that.
best quote:
So he's got a bunch of one-liners obviously. I googled iceman quotes and found this on the list:
"I am pulling the most totally bizarre vibes off the others."
Idk made me laugh. Why does he talk like this?
I liked his speech to thor here:
Tumblr media
And is "Maybe I am a loser?" moment is iconic. Also when x-corps is happening like half his dialogue is just him calling Sean a nazi which is honestly pretty funny.
head canon:
I think he's not particularly religious in terms of his actual beliefs and associates conversation about religion with his very conservative parents (his dad is Catholic and his mum is Jewish) so prefers to avoid the discussion. That said, I think he's really into family traditions and that sort of thing. He still does all the holidays with enthusiasm... probably too much enthusiasm
He has being paying very little attention to any of the big events on krakoa (ToM, Inferno). Like, he's a few days out of the loop on events and isn't entirely sure what's going on but assumes they'll sort it out. I think he likes a lot of things about the island and the people there, but I don't think he's bought into it really. It's just another wacky stage of his life for him
He's often genuinely surprised by how alive his ice golems are and is secretly a bit freaked out by it
Despite being a teenager in the 60s, Bobby is clearly still under 35. With that in mind, I headcanon his music tastes as being very 80s and early 90s. There's a lot of synth pop in there, and I feel like he got really into Alanis Morissette.

*bursts through your wall* VALTIEL!! THE HORNED KING!!! For the character ask. Pwease <3c ~ avid-adoxography
Send me a character and I'll list:
Valtiel
Favorite thing about them: The fact that he exists as an actual guardian angel to Cheryl? Granted the canon doesn't do much with this and in canon he probably doesn't actually care about her but I don't care, "Girl and her weird pet monster" is like my favorite friendship dynamic
Least favorite thing about them: How we just know so little about him and how he never appeared in another Silent Gill game outside of that weird dungeon-crawling spinoff, Book of Memories. And there he had no story significance, he just gave you missions. Pyramid Head is cool and all but PLEASE can we get some Valtiel content. He's the one that actually makes sense to see again since unlike PH he's not tied to one specific person's mind! But granted, I really want to see him be pals with Cheryl and they definitely won't do that since it wouldn't be scary.
Favorite line: He doesn't talk outside of giving you missions in Book of Memories. I like the noises you can hear him make in the cutscene where he retrieves dead Cheryl though. He's a snarly hissy boy
brOTP: CHERYL! I love the idea of him being all protective and friendly with her. And her helping him when he's banished because he gets hurt pretty bad...
OTP: I don't really know honestly. He's not a character I tend to ship romantically. I've seen stuff of him and Pyramid Head which was SPICY but idk if I like them romantically together
nOTP: I don't really like the romantic ship with Cheryl but it doesn't repulse me enough to call it a nOTP
Random headcanon: uh...he can walk normally he just prefers crawling
Unpopular opinion: I guess just that I don't ship him with Cheryl? Most of his fans seem to
Song I associate with them: Almost Human ~ Aurelio Voltaire
Favorite picture of them: Uh...IDK honestly
The Horned King
Favorite thing about them: Ugh, EVERYTHING. But I'll settle on his voice. John Hurt did such a good performance.
Least favorite thing about them: How little Disney actually acknowledges him. And that the only attraction that ever featured him is closed forever. One of the things I'd do if time travel were possible: Visit the Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour. One of the things I'd do if I were filthy rich: Buy whatever's left of his animatronic and have it restored for my own collection (or have a new one built if there's nothing left)
Favorite line: He doesn't have a bad line but I love the way he taunts the protagonists after capturing them. He's being sarcastic but the way he says it it doesn't even sound cocky, just cold. Shivers.
brOTP: I currently have him as besties with the other necromancers I've f/o'd -- Demongo and Licorice Cookie. For just Disney villains, I like the idea of him being reluctant pals with Madam Mim who just playfully annoys him. And I feel like he could lament over being a criminally underrated Disney villain with NOS-4-A2.
OTP: ME. ok but besides my selfship, Maleficent. I just...think they're cool together.
nOTP: I don't really have any ships that I really hate with him
Random headcanon: The gwythaints are like pets to him and they're descendants of the ones Arawn used to torment into obedience. They're one of the only living things he's kind to.
Unpopular opinion: Uh...IDK. Honestly at this point I think just liking him as a villain is an unpopular opinion because a lot of people either don't even know about him or think he's nothing special. In that case maybe my unpopular opinion is that I actually really like the movie he's from and would love to see it attempted again (preferably still animated but I would settle for a live-action adaptation as long as it uses good practical effects everywhere it can.)
Song I associate with them: I have a whole playlist but my go to song is Hail To The King ~ Avenged Sevenfold.
Favorite picture of them: I don't know if I still have it but that one where he sees the Cauldron-Born starting to die off again and he just looks DISTRAUGHT.

Thank you other anon for wishing me well!! That means a lot to me!
He does but Raq doesn't actually know Rans backstory. So he doesn't know Ran has siblings. He just assumes his mom either died or abandoned him due to finding Ran completely alone and being a hybrid. Before Ran would just scream at Raq in Enderian, now both Raq and Ran scream at eachother in it. Jackie describes it as, "A screaming match to assert dominance."
Yep, his body was already straining itself to fend off the posion and the teleporting ended up straining him more than he could handle. So as soon as he teleported them he collapsed and wasn't able to even stand.
That just made me imagine them digging down only to look up and see Phil clambering down after them like a mole.
After he made a scavenger hunt made out of everyone else's items. Phil found his axe in a destroyed tree trunk and Ran found his sword buried in the ground. While Sapnap found his bow hidden behind stones and Jackie was never able to find his particularly because Ranboo forgot where he hid it.
Yes, although its very rough.
Porkius is very very suprised and needs time to come to turns with them being there. While Porkius reacts well to Techno, Techno does not like Porkius and has threatened to punch him a few times and one time he followed through and punched him hard enough to make him fall to the ground.
Definitely.
---------------------
Ranboo is still his ancestor! Ran feels mostly confused, startled, scared, and oddly a bit comfortable. Phil makes him feel comfortable because he reminds him so much of Watson who was a very close and comforting figure to him. But Techno kind of scares him cause while Porkius was kind to him he was also strict, so he's afraid Techno will be stricter and mean just due to how he looks. He also just kinda ignores Ranboo at first because he can't handle the fact he's looking at his now alive ancestor.
Not really I'd say, even though they all have different enderman percentces, they have the same instincts. Though due to Ranboos memory problem, his memory of enderman culture is almost non-existent, and instead presents itself through his instincts. If any of that makes sense?
Karl is terrified upon seeing Ran, as soon as he even hears he's here he immediately drops what he's doing and after a few questions runs off to find and confront him. Tubbo is incredibly fascinated by Ran and at first he respects Ran's boundaries and stays away from him, but as soon as Ran is walking around outside and exploring the surrounding environment, he sees that as the perfect opportunity to bombard Ran with questions. Eret (who I like to headcanon is like a medic and knows a lot more about medicine than most), doesnt comment at first and is instead focused on helping him, but after he learns more about Ran, he is fascinated by him but takes time to get to know Ran and work on making a friendship with him. No one else, not even Michael knows about Ran being there, though they do eventually find out.
A multitude of reasons 1. He landed wrong and ended up breaking an arm and cracking two ribs due to the sudden stop. 2. He isn't used to traveling through time so time travel had the affect of making him very sick, including headaches and nausea. 3. When he was dragged into the timetravel a match in the Pit just ended and he had a few bruises and cuts that hadn't been taken care of yet, so the travel and harsh landing just aggravated them and re-opened some. 4. The harsh landing ended up also giving him a concussion.
When Ran is finally consciousness enough he refuses to speak in anything other than Enderian. At first Phil and Techno are scared he can't speak nor understand their language. But Edward steps in and tells them he can both understand and speak it he just doesn't want to necessarily. So Edward does the communication with Ran on their behalf, he also takes the time to comfort and help him come to terms with him being there. Edward is also the one to gently push/convince Ran to actually speak to them.
Agreed, uh, maybe From Future to Past? Idk.
------------------------
I already have a name for this au thankfully, Tip of the Iceberg AU. (Also I wanna say real quick not every single character in the Dream SMP or Tales From The SMP will be featured in this au because it's just to many characters for me to keep track of, it'll mostly be characters I feel like I understand if that makes sense)
They end up everywhere, the Bandits end up in Las Nevadas and end up robbing the place before they bolt, running with no real direction in mind. Zack and Cletus end up just outside of Las Nevadas but they run off into the woods once they hear yelling inside the country. Isaac, Porkums, and Grievous end up in Kinoko Kingdom. Ran lands in Erets castle and accidentally breaks a window from his entrance. Jackie, Jon Jon, and Sheriff Sherman end up in Pogtopia but manage to get out (expect Jackie who is stuck and they can't get him out so they actually left for help). Benjamin lands into the ocean around the Guardian farm. Ranbob also lands near the Guardian farm but instead on land. Charles and Watson land somewhere nearby Foolish's summer home. Ranbulter and James get dropped onto Tommys Memorial Island. And Ash lands in Snowchester. (Note I believe these will be all the tales characters I'll be mostly using, but if any get added I'll probably mention where they also ended up).
Something important though is that almost no one stayed where they landed, Ran ran off into the surrounding forest so he could focus on regathering himself and calm down without worrying about getting attacked, Benjamin just randomly picks a direction to go (North) and ends up picking up Ranbob to join him. John John and Sherman went different directions to look for help; the Kinoko Kingdom group argues before finally Porkums and Grievous head off together having elected to follow the oceans edge (they think the Kingdom is abandoned and think following the ocean will eventually lead them to a city or something), while Isaac calls them stupid and stays around the Kingdom, exploring and taking stuff; and Charles and Watson just kinda walk around though stay in the general area. Anyone I did not mention stays where they landed or is close to where they landed. SOMETHING IMPORTANT THOUGH IS THAT NONE OF THEM GET DIRECTLY SEEN BY ANY SMP MEMBERS RIGHT AWAY, its only found out what happened when Quackity accuses Fundy of stealing from him which he heavily declines. And instead says that he saw others riding out of the country so it must've been them (he saw them from a distance), and their descriptions are enough to unnerve Karl who then goes back to Kinoko Kingdom to look at his Tales from the SMP books where he runs directly into Isaac and realizes what he feared is true.
Once Karl gets confirmation that people from both the past and future are here he immediately calls an emergency meeting and just tells everyone almost immediately that he's a time traveler so it doesn't become a problem later, they don't believe him but Isaac is kind enough to help convince them. Soon everyone is convinced and while everyone is included only a few are actually part of a active search party. Those people being Techno, Phil, Ranboo, Tubbo, Foolish, Quackity, Sam, Eret, Bad, and of course Karl. Everyone else is assigned to just keep a eye out. Not everyone is in the party because they didn't want to be or they had other stuff to be doing.
He explains the In-between and Other Side but other than that they never really interfere, if anything he gets dragged into both sides when sleeping and the two sides both push him to find everyone and fix it all.
Jackie, as per usual, is the funniest gremlin on the block.
Poor Ran!! At least he gets some rest?
Absolutely terrifying image, I pity the poor fool who witnesses it.
Pfft. Can you just imagine the chaos? Half the time it's probably just caused by his memory issues. Prank war a few weeks ago? Ranboo forgets the traps he put up, and everyone ends up with brightly colored hair, and a large amount of rabbits in their house, and he;s standing right there with them trying to figure out who did it.
It's something, so I'll take it!
Technoblade: Nearly starting wars since...uh, whenever he spawned in, I'm not really sure of the details there.
Good.
-----------------
So Ran is aware Ranboo is his ancestor? Does he have the same backstory as Brothers AU!Ran?
Does this mean Ranboo is working solely on instincts when around other Endermen or Ran? How does that work out?
And since Enderwalk has all his memories, what are Ran's encounters with him like? Is he aware of Enderwalk state, or was that lost to time? Where do their instincts lead them? Does Ranboo get a bit more hesitant towards Ran when he's leaning more on them? Or is he more open and welcoming? Can he tell Ran shares his blood?
Confrontation? Uh oh, how does that go? Especially considering Ran's possibly the only one to have a vague idea of Karl's hobby? Does it end up coming out?
How does Ran feel about having Tubbo constantly ask questions? Is Tubbo just curious, or is he trying to figure things out? Does this mean Ran ends up in Snowchester, or does Tubbo head to the Antarctic? Medic Eret?? What kind of relationship do they have with Techno and Phil to get called in and come to their aid? How do Eret, Karl, and Tubbo learn of him, if this is being kept hush-hush, and why is it being kept such?
Poor Ran, he's really gotten the short end of the stick here. So time traveling can negatively effect those not used to it/built for it? Does Karl suffer similarly?
And Edward speaks Common, then? Also, Edward!! Is he still Techno's roommate here? Does he have a little nearby area? Or does he head back to the End when he's not hanging around? Has he been helping Ranboo as well?
Sounds good!
-------------------------
Gotcha, gotcha.
The fact that the bandits first instinct upon appearing in a strange new place with no prior warning is to rob it brings me great joy. How does that go for them? How far do they get, what do they steal?
Cletus & Zack: Dunno who you are or where I am, but I don't like the sound of that, so lets bolt.
Issac, Porkums, and Grievous actually don't sound like a chaotic combination, so they probably don't cause too much trouble.
Poor Eret. Imagine just trying to enjoy your day and coming back in to see your window broken.
Jon Jon and Sherman with Jackie just sounds really funny actually. The blatant contrast from time periods and all, and Jackie's pure chaotic energy...Also, they'd both be so much taller than him. Why was he stuck though? What happened?
Another question is, at what point was everyone tossed back? Long after Karl had left, before meeting him, in the middle? Is it different for some? How do those who've met him before react? Why does Isaac believe Karl, and how does he help convince the others?
Who's found first? What happens then? Is anyone hurt? What are both sides definition of 'fixing it all', and how does being dragged in between the two effect Karl?

i'm so sick of TOP's "edgy" IG updates... i became a VIP only a year ago and TOP has always been my favourite. even though i realised pretty quickly how weird he's, i kinda kept giving him numerous "second chances"... but i just can't with him anymore. idk what's up with his strange posts, like dude, u r not even that interesting anymore... everyone is crazy abt 4th gen now and oh, right BTS. if any of them posted weird photo edits or alpaca pictures, within an hour there'd be a fuck ton of comments and various articles with theories on what this could possibly mean... but TOP, no one except very loyal VIPs gives a shit anymore. i wonder if he's really so delusional that he doesn't understand this
Exactly how I feel. All respect I actually feel bad for you cause you missed the best of TOP that we grew up with and got to see unfold but as he communicated in a magazine once that was a manufacturered image for him. Now we see this insta behavior is who he always was as a person and honestly if I ever knew or had an inclination of him being this way back then I would have stanned Seungri instead and not wasted a good chunk of my life devoted to supporting TOP. The worst thing he ever did was give into peer pressure and GD with making IG. IG ruined him. If he never joined and still had that HSH scandal it would have all went much smoother with the public actually possibly defending him.
To me objectively speaking, I feel TOP is why idols need to be manufactured and controlled but also a cautionary tale of What happens when too much of that is going on and mental health help isn't available.
I agree with you 10000% TOP ruined himself and yeah please do followers. To the followers please don't send an ask telling me I'm an anti and I hate top or why is it top confessions when its anti top. Just like this anon we've given so much and stuck in there but are beyond burnt out on trying to understand. The only other celebrity who has this crazy behavior on IG I can think of John Cena and a lot of people low-key say he's strange and very robotic his damn self. But he is honest about the purpose of his blog that he will post shit that represents something without context, caption or interpretation for us to "enjoy" while top handles this insta like tumblr knowing damn well his IG is a mixture of industry professionals and peers following him and fans. Doing things forcefully to seem vague and edgy.
If this was anyone else of any race he or she would be cancelled and deemed disturbed.
And I feel Taeyang is the only one aging well. Daesung sure. Throw him in too. The other 3 look worn out as hell. Tops looks aren't enough for me any more and he doesn't do anything professionally for me to stay connected. Aging is natural and will happen but his face is showing the signs are decent still but I can see he really is age and not in a flattering way. Smoking is going to age him faster and the drinking.
He could have been Koreas George Clooney but look what happened.
And yes he is delusional and doesn't realize now that like you said minus these loyal fans who haven't grown and left, nobody cares nor gives a damn about what he does. Taeyang has all the happiness now cause he was just normal and allowed happiness to come into his life.
This is why I feel Mark Grotahjn is a sugar daddy or fake friend. He is an enabler to tops place right now.
I still believe Kim Woobin is where TOP somehow thought he was going and deserved to be.
