Lin Kuei Sibling Headcanons
Tumblr media
I gotta stop using the same gifs over and over again. Anywho, just random headcanons about them when they were younger. A few of these is what my siblings and I did but listen-. No sad shit this time around, but next time issa wrap no bun (word to CoryXKenshin)
When they were younger Bi-Han realized someone was drinking his shit, so he started spitting in it
He also loudly announces that he did so and that whoever drank his shit was drinking his germs
Kuai Liang responded by saying “well we both share the same DNA”
Revolting. Yuck.
Tomas smiles when he's nervous so people always think he's lying.
“Did you drink my slushy?” “No” “Yes you did. You're smiling” “YOU'RE MAKING ME NERVOUS”
D if you ever see this, I did not drink that fucking slushy years ago and getting mom involved was actually so foul. “Put that on my dead granny”, WHY WOULD I LIE ON GRANDMA? I SHOULD'VE drank it. Should've took a big ass gulp
Moving on-
Like I said in my last post, Bi-Han and Kuai Liang have definitely jumped Tomas before
They call it play fighting, Tomas calls it attempted murder
Bi-Han is the “come here” brother and Tomas is the “you're gonna hit me” brother
Bi-Han is also the “you want a cookie?” and Tomas is the “what'd you do to it?”
Speaking of those two, the real reason Bi-Han doesn't like Tomas is because Tomas would stand in his doorway and when Bi-Han would tell him to get out, Tomas would say “I'm not in your room”
Kuai Liang would put his finger close to Bi-Han but say he's not touching him
That's the real reason he betrayed them. It's true. I asked him.
Idk which one them does it but one of these mfs puts the cereal box in front of them to ignore the brother they're mad at
Tomas is “your dad is pissing me off”, Kuai Liang is “lmao what happened?”
Bi-Han’s room is the chill out spot against his will
Kuai Liang has accidentally set someone on fire 100% and they never let him live it down (my siblings did that on purpose but scooting right along) (no one died😃)
Tomas is the victim of white jokes. He'll say smth and here comes Bi-Han “why are you?? speaking?? to me?? as a white person?? go eat salt??”
Kuai Liang is “hey can I have a bite?” and Bi-Han says “sure” then licks all over whatever he has.
“Tuesday is my day with the TV” “you're adopted. shut up”
Bi-Han has gotten the other two into several fights ‘cause he has a bad temper and his siblings ride for him
This one time my sister yelled at a teacher for yelling at me and that's Bi-Han. Like yeah, he's not the nicest as an adult but as a kid? The only mf that's allowed to yell at his brothers is HIM.
They've all gotten whooped because none of them snitch on each other. This is a ride or die brotherhood (for now) (not me tho. My mom got a heavy ass hand. You're on your own)
“Tell your brother to do those damn dishes” “you want me to say it like that? with the curse word?” “go ahead”
Whoever it is goes to their brother and- “dad said get your big nasty ass up and clean those motherfucking dishes before he whoops your skinny long neck ass”
I cannot pinpoint who exactly would do this and risk the whooping so imma just say they've all been guilty
Bi-Han and Kuai Liang are those annoying ass kids asking you to play bloody knuckles. If you don't get the fuck away from me-
Tomas played with Kuai Liang once and quit immediately
Kuai Liang is the “I only had a cup” when the juice is all gone. Yeah, you had a big ass cup you get from Super America. The Minute Maid is gone because of you
Bi-Han and Kuai Liang, “Say Fuck, I'm not gonna tell dad”. Tomas says “no” and the day he does say it now he's being blackmailed
Kuai Liang would help Bi-Han look for shit he knows he took. Y'all may think Kuai Liang would never do such a thing. He's so sweet. THAT'S HOW HE GOT AWAY WITH IT!
When they accidentally really hurt the other and hear their parents, they have different reactions. Bi-Han is the “tell them. I don't care. Actually, I'll tell them for you” brother. Kuai Liang is the “wait wait wait, calm down. Stop crying. Look, you can hit me back. You want candy?” brother. Tomas is the “that was actually an accident. My bad” brother.
Tomas actually learned all that smoke… magic… uhh… shit so he could defend himself cause he was getting ragdolled in that house
Kuai Liang is actually really nice to Tomas now cause he looks back and thinks “wow, I was kinda an asshole”
For example, Tomas was living his life and here comes these maniacs grabbing him and putting his bare feet in the snow
Idk, I just really think Tomas was fighting for his life in that house
It was all in love but now he jumps when they move a little too fast
Tomas tells his brothers he loves them a lot because he wasn't able to tell his birth family before they were killed. He wants them to always know and whenever their time does come, he wants it to be the last thing they hear from him or the last thing he says before he dies.
Kuai Liang usually says it back or says something else comforting. His way of saying “I love you” can be something as simple as a hand on the shoulder. Sometimes instead of saying “I love you”, he says “I care about you”. Personal preference
Bi-Han used to say “I love you” back but as time passed, he stopped. He's someone who gets kinda uncomfortable when it comes to vulnerable emotions. His way of saying “I love you” is “are you hurt?”. It's usually only used after a form of combat but combat can make you realize that your life is on a time limit. We saw in game and by intro dialogues that he was hurt by Kuai Liang not sticking by him. The idea that he doesn't care for his family AT ALL I think is false. I think he cares but he cares about his own goals more.
That's all I got for fluffy shit rn
I’m actually someone who enjoys angst way more than fluff but thinking about them and angst makes my heart fall into my ass … imma write some later tho

PAST TIMES - PEDRI
summary: pedri and you are parents and you talk about yours sons girl problems.
warnings: noneee
"She said she'll come home around this time." You sat down next to him on the couch and put one of your legs over his.
"I don't know." Pedri shrugged his shoulders and looked at his phone while you looked at yours.
In that exact moment you two heard the front door open and you heard your daughter come inside.
"Hey Alison, how was your day?" Pedri yelled while he turned his head towards her. She just threw her backpack onto the floor and gave you two an annoying look.
"Dad, just be quiet for once." She told Pedri and then stormed up the stairs and into her room. Pedri turned his head to look at your surprised but you just shook it off.
"What the heck was that?" Pedri asked you and you shrugged your shoulders again.
"She's 16," You told him and looked back at your phone but Pedri scoffed.
"You weren't this bad?!" You gave him a look as you turned your head to look at him again.
"That's because you met me when I was 19, but whatever." Then after you said that the door opened again and Pedri yelled again. "Hey Aléx, how are you?"
"Dude, mom, dad" He threw his bag on the floor and hung up his jacket before he walked into the living room. "The craziest thing just happened today." He sat down on the opposite side of the couch and looked at the two of you.
Pedri leaned forward and pushed your leg down his lap. You shook your head and leaned against the couch.
"Let me guess, you found friends?" Pedri joked and Aléx gave him a look.
Alex was your oldest child, he was 19 and was way calmer than your other children. Not really calm since he was really energetic, but he didn't make any trouble.
"Dad, come on, no, me and Gavi drove to practice today, since we wanted to be earlier. Also he had to be there earlier to meet up with the coaching team but, guess who texted me on the way there." He looked at the two of you with a grin, waiting you to guess.
"I know who it was" You smiled and Pedri turned to look at you with furrowed eyebrows.
"How would you know?" He asked and then looked back at Alex. "I don't know, the girl you've been talking to?"
"Exactly, she texted me if we could meet after practice." He inhaled sharply and then looked at the floor. "Gavi said that I should tell her yes, but" He continued. "I said no, I want to focus on football, I want to make it big."
Pedri and you made eye contact immediately. "You know I met her when I was 20, so you'll still be able to focus on both. You can try going out with girls, but as soon as you realize that you're loosing concentration, stop. It's that easy." Pedri shrugged his shoulders.
"Yeah but she'll be a huge distraction." Alex mumbled and put his head into his hands.
"No I don't think so, Pedri was also able to concentrate when he wasn't hooking up with random models." You laughed and Pedri's eyes widened. He pushed you slightly and Alex was sitting there with his mouth wide open.
"You fucked around?" Alex asked and you nodded while you laughed, Pedri was just sitting there, ashamed.
"Yeah he did, after every weekend he told us about the model he hooked up with, my god it was so annoying." You laughed and then Pedri covered his face.
"Yeah, Alex you're actually not her son, you're from one of those models." Pedri pointed at you and you burst out laughing.
"You can't say that, that's not true." Alex smiled as you said that and then stood up.
"Thanks for the help dad. I'll leave you two alone." He walked up the stairs and Pedri turned to look at you.
"I can't do this anymore, why did you tell him that?" Pedri threw a pillow after you which you caught successfully.
you just shrugged your shoulders as you smiled. "I'm just telling the truth."

Tease Tidbit Tuesday
Tagged by the lovely @exhuastedpigeon, @hippolotamus @wikiangela @disasterbuckdiaz @daffi-990 @jamespearce9-1-1 @jeeyuns @hoodie-buck @theotherbuckley and @ladydorian05 Thank you all so much!
I am in a very generous mood today, so for this tidbit Tuesday I am sharing several teases from different wips. Enjoy!
NFL Buck: Athena hits the intercom above the code box, taking note of cameras that swivel slightly towards her way. A deep voice seeped with weariness comes through the speaker, "What can I do for you officer?"
In the back seat of her cruiser, Eddie immediately perks up and cries out, "Buck! She arrested me and I don't like it and I swear those tiny humans put her up to it! But I didn't do it! I swear!"
4+1 Buck is too nice: Eddie is actually contemplating stealing Bobby's nice knife set away from the firehouse. Stolen knives for Eddie's stolen boyfriend. Seems fair. Sort of.
When in reality Eddie more than understands. Athena is working, Bobby is covering for Captain Royce, and trying to get any sort of non-familiar (free) transportation from LAX was a disservice to May.
Kidnapped Mpreg Buck: Eddie grips his tiny newborn daughter tight to his chest. Its too quiet. Buck is silent, no longer screaming in agony. Their baby has gone quiet after her first cries. Doug will never make a sound again, lying dead by the fireplace. He can barely hear Hen muttering under her breath, pumping her fist hard over Buck's chest. Chimney hasn't said a word since announcing the loss of Buck's heart beat, frantically working to try and stop the omega from bleeding out. And Maddie...is slumped against the wall near the bed where her brother lays dying, covered in blood from Doug, herself, and Buck. Catatonic. Quiet. Too quiet.
Parental Chimney w/ Teen Buddie: Chimney does a double take when he see's Eddie standing just a step inside the bay doors. The older teen is wringing his hands together, looking nervous and very lost.
Tapping Hen on the shoulder, he motions towards the kid and Hen nods in understanding. "Yell if you need back-up." She jokes somewhat serious.
Chimney rolls his eyes, "Doubt he's here to cause harm."
Hen shrugs, "Your new to this parenting thing, and so am I, so asking for help won't hurt." She glances over to Eddie, "Just don't be too hard on him. From my understanding, kids been through enough and losing Buck must feel like rock bottom."
Return of sperm donor kid: “Carson, Connor is your dad, okay?  I just-well-um” Buck was floundering to find the right way to explain to a beginning 5th grader how sperm donation works.
“He’s not my dad! I heard my mom say so!” Connor shouted, anger and frustration starting to take over.
Buck raised his hands up in gentle defense, “Okay. Okay.  Let’s just,” He sighs in frustration, looking upwards.  Buck didn’t really pray, but he did believe in the universe and Eddie would be his entire paycheck that he was cursing it right now. “I’m calling your parents.”
Carson opened his mouth to object, but Buck immediately cut him off, “I am calling your parents, and that includes your dad, the same man who has fed you, clothed you, LOVED you since the day you were born. I am calling them and then we are all going to sit down and talk. Understand?”
Hope you all enjoyed!

Apparently my brain keeps coming up with cursed things so, SDV townies or SVE/RSV really reacting to farmer calling them babygirl???
And now I am starting to imagine all of them in THAT babygirl pose I'm so sorry if it's stuck in your brain too
Omg babygirl everywhere. This is gonna be one of the most cursed headcanons I've ever write (or not? depends on what people say)
By the way, I found myself in such a situation that I do not fully know the term "babygirl". That is, I knew that women were usually affectionately called that from English, and babygirl as a meme on Twitter and Tumblr referred only to men (I'm not kidding, I was looking for the meaning of babygirl and this is what Google gave me):
Tumblr media
"Submissive and breedable", huh.
Sorry anon, but with mods you get a lot of NPCs, so I'll write about some SDVs and SVE/RSVs. I hope you still like it. Enjoy!
--------------------------------------------------
Despite the fact that he blushed a little, Alex believes that he is not just a babygirl, but the best babygirl. Look at his muscles, look at those biceps, he's just made for the perfect babygirl pose! Seriously, he praises it like he won a gridball championship.
Depending on the mood, Magnus will either give the Farmer a suspicious look and inquire about their mental health, or simply teleport them away from his tower. In any case, the wizard has too much to do to waste time on nonsense.
Immediately to the clinic! No, Harvey doesn't want to listen to any protests! Get on the bed right now, and he will bring all the necessary medicines. The Farmer does have sunstroke or a high fever if they're delusional and call Harvey "babygirl". Maru, we have an emergency!
"Perhaps there are new ways of courting among young people in the world, or maybe it was an unusual way to insult my person," Lance thought, not understanding exactly how he should react to this word addressed to him from his farmer friend.
Wh-what? No, Victor is not a babygirl! Yes, he knows what that means, but refuses to believe it. But still at home, in front of the mirror, he stood in one of the babygirl poses from social networks... And blushed because he really looks cute, he is a perfect babygirl. Victor prays that his mom doesn't catch him in this position...
Morris is in a small stupor, trying to understand if they just insulted him or said a compliment. Hm, maybe he'll rethink about that "babygirl" as the new slogan for Joja cola, since the word is so popular with young people!
Please, Farmer, don't. Gus doesn't know the meaning of the word and doesn't want to know. It also worries visitors to the Saloon. They are his friend, but there must be limits to what is permitted!
Well, all people have their quirks. And as long as it's not an insulting and vulgar word to anyone, Gunther doesn't mind. Well, he hopes it's not an insult or vulgarity.
It's because Elliott's long hair makes him look like a girl? Does this word have another meaning as well? Ah, compliment? Why, thank you kindly, Farmer. He's a little confused, but flattered anyway.
Poor Shane will choke on his beer when he hears this word from the Farmer. Now all people in the Saloon is looking at both of them. He just wanted a drink in peace, why....
...Farmer, you know that Kent is married, right?... No, he does NOT want to know the meaning of this word, he already has a headache after Sam's talk about Fortnite and TikTok trending. Give this poor man break.
Yes, he is a baby girl, baby baby baby girl. He is a small child. Come on, insult him again, why not! He's a fucking joke for young assholes like Farmer apparently! (Andy took this word too seriously, like the phrase "confuse your enemy by yelling at them")
Ahh, thanks Farmer. Yes, Sam has seen on social media that some characters in babygirl poses look quite cursed, but he is pleased that the Farmer called him cute, albeit with that word. Hey, take a picture of Sam, he wants send this pic to Sebastian and Abigail and laugh about it!
Still, Jio's instinct didn't let him down. Despite the friendship with the Farmer, the victory over Gabriela's corruption and all other merits, the Farmer is still an idiot. How else to explain the word that they said to the ninja elf?
Erm, thanks? Poor June, he had strange admirers before, but at least the Farmer with "babygirl" turned out to be harmless to him. Right? Isn't that an insult?
It looks like the young adventurer hit their head in the mine a lot harder than Marlon thought. No matter how the Farmer resists, no matter how the old bones of the one-eyed adventurer hurt from the heavy and kicking burden, Marlon is determined to take the Farmer to the clinic for an examination. No, he doesn't know anything about their "Tweeters and smartphones", he'll get them to Dr. Harvey right now.

"Big Time Battle of the Bands", Chapter 5: Big Time...Fandanas?
Wednesday morning arrived. Logan was going around the Palmwoods with a big clipboard.
"Great! And thank you for your input." he said, smiling at the girl he'd finished surveying. He jotted down a note as he continued down the hall. Upon looking up, he did a double-take.
James was walking at the far end of the hall, too, but he wasn't alone. A swarm of people surrounded him. He was laughing and joking with them.
The first thing Logan noticed was that every one of them had a bandana circling their forehead. A couple of the girls appeared to be wearing T-shirts that said, Proud Bandana Babe! Below these words was an image of a scintillating diamond wearing a bandana.
What in the world?
Logan tried not to goggle as he and James met in the middle. "Guys, don't lose those Fandanas, alright? They double as good luck charms." James explained. The throng laughed and unglued themselves from his sides.
Once they had left, James turned to the bewildered Logan. He grinned. "Oh, them? They're a few of the people that bought tickets for the concert. Those flyers really did the trick, huh? And my Diamond in the Rush blog, of course."
Logan looked as bewildered as ever. "Okay, I have a couple questions: One, why haven't you started on our project yet? And two, Fandanas?"
James grinned again. "Fandanas. Yeah. That's the brand-new line of merch I’ve just released. I'm selling it to the Diamond Ring." He held up his arms, which were adorned from the wrists to the shoulders with neon-colored bandanas.
When Logan stared, he explained, "The 'Diamond Ring' is my new little fan club. I'm not sure what to call each fan individually, though. I was thinkin' 'facets.' Did you know that 'facet'—"
"—is the name for each intricately cut side of a diamond?" Logan finished, glaring. "Yes, as a matter of fact, I did know that. Speaking of learning new things, it's your turn to do the surveys on water usage for our school project." He shoved the clipboard on James' chest.
James opened his mouth to protest, but Logan held up a hand to shush him. "Don't get back to me until you have finished interviewing at least ten more people." With that, he stalked past James.
"Well, fine! It'll give me the chance to sell more Fandanas, anyway!" James yelled after him. Buddha Bob rattled by with his usual cleaning cart, whistling. He stopped as soon as he saw James.
"Hey, nice bandanas!" he complimented.
James' face lit up. "Thanks! You wanna be the newest member of the Diamond Ring?" he asked, holding out a green bandana.
Behind his unruly beard, Buddha Bob beamed. "Totally! Say, can you spare a brown one for Plungy?" He held up his beloved plunger. James stared, but shrugged and smiled.
......
Outside the Palmwoods entrance, Kendall, Carlos, and Katie had set up a ticket booth. This time, Katie was dressed in a bulky microphone costume. She was dancing with an arrow-shaped sign. The sign read, Big Time Rush Tickets HERE!
Mrs. Knight approached their station, bearing a tray piled with sandwiches and refreshments. She looked shocked by the setup.
"What are you doing? Why is Katie wearing that poorly ventilated costume?" she immediately asked.
While Carlos dove headfirst into the food, Kendall explained, "It's just a sales tactic, Mom. And a very effective one, at that." He flipped through a wad of cash to prove his point.
Katie lowered her arms and wiped sweat from her forehead. She turned to glare at her content brother.
"Guys, I've been dancing for an hour. We've already sold tickets to every resident. I get that it's for a good cause, but this is bordering on a child labor violation." she panted.
Kendall looked at her. She did seem pretty tired. "I dunno, Katie. I mean, we're getting so close to selling out. If you leave, we may never reach that goal." He held up a few of the tickets.
Carlos piped up around a mouthful of ham, "Yeah, now that we've discovered the effect that angelic cuteness has on people, we don't know if we can let it go."
Mrs. Knight let out a half-frustrated, half-amused sigh. "Well, this little angel is clearly exhausted. And, besides, she has homework to finish. C'mon, young lady."
Katie dropped the sign in relief, grabbed a juice box from the tray, and started to follow her mother. She paused to face the boys again. "By the way, are you guys forgetting that this is the Palmwoods? I'm not the only adorable thing around here, you know."
When Kendall and Carlos looked at her curiously, she smirked.
......
"WOOF!"
Lightning the TV Wonder Dog was now perched on a chair with the sign in his paws. The two guys stared at him, then at each other.
"I think I prefer Katie." Carlos said. "At least we didn't have to scoop her poop."
At that moment, a couple of teenaged girls went up to Lightning. The dog’s tongue lolled happily as they cooed and scratched behind his ears.
"Then again..." Kendall grinned. When Lightning's shades slid down his muzzle, he winked at them. Their mouths fell open.
......
In Hawk Record's polished studio, Cross My Heart was recording demos. The four stood around a large microphone, the harmonies flowing easily and beautifully. Hawk reclined in a chair and proudly looked on from behind the glass. He was sliding faders and pressing various buttons on the vast console.
Once they had finished, he spoke through a small mic. "That was absolutely splendid, chicks." he praised. "Let's take five, shall we?" The girls nodded and began sipping from water bottles.
A laptop sat next to the console. Humming to himself, he pulled it onto his lap and spun his chair around. "Just wait till the masses hear them. I can see it now: 'Cross My Heart: The Best Thing Since Big Time Rush.'" He clicked a news link, sniggering.
His laughter stopped short. Emblazoned across the laptop’s screen was a picture of Big Time Rush. The header blared, "Big Time Rush to Hold Benefit Concert for the Palmwoods Apartments."
Hawk's smile twisted into an enraged expression. "Those fiends. Can't they stay out of the headlines for two seconds?!"
He swiveled around to face the obliviously talking girls. He looked from them, to the header, and back again.
And there it was: revenge, slathered in big, beautiful letters.
"I believe, chicks..." he began, the simper reappearing, "...that it's time to fledge the nest. CAW!!"

I have SO MANY thoughts and notes about Choro and Kara's dynamic but I don't really have the material to do a proper post so I'll just highlight my favourite moments of the duo:
When they ended up as their mom's reserve kids (alongside Jyushimatsu (unrelated but I love the Reserve Trio mostly because imagining Choro survive it makes me feel alive)) and Karamatsu keeps failing at appealing to his mom's affection, Choro straight up tells him "If things go wrong I'll take care of you!"
Then speed forward to like three or four different instances over the three series where Choromatsu falls, and Karamatsu yells "are you okay Choromatsu!? I'll save you Choromatsu!!" but DOESN'T STOP RUNNING KFKDKJF
When the brothers are taking advantage of Karamatsu's inability to say no, who calls him out on it??? Choromatsu!!
On the same episode though Karamatsu once again left Choromatsu to fend for himself against his devil brothers 💀 he's such a coward lol
Episode 24, Karamatsu was setting the mood to celebrate Choro!! He even gave him a surprisingly thoughtful Nyaa-chan thingy! And something painful of course but that's his brand
(I think he'd give good gifts in general, if a bit over-the-top at times)
Then during the Valentine's day episode he gave Choro some choco, all while saying "I like you because you're so lame that I look cool besides you" JDDHFJ this man has got jokes yall
I don't remember much about the Omurice skit they do other than they were VIBING ON THE SAME WAVELENGTH and it was Glorious. I think all the time of Karamatsu calling Choromatsu out like "STOP PLAYING DUMB IM TALKING ABOUT PERVY STUFF AND YOU KNOW IT" and Choromatsu honest to god CLUTCHING HIS INVISIBLE PEARLS lmao
I personally call them the LaLaLand duo, because they both live in an alternate reality made up of alternative facts that support the belief that they're The Proper One/The Cool One, and if I'm honest it almost surprises me that Choro is probably beating Karamatsu on number of episodes solely focused on poking fun at this gap between the reality they try to manufacture vs. The Actual Reality (see: the self-awareness orb episode and the Choromatsu Museum episode).
But at the same time I kind of appreciate that both of them can take a look at their immediate surroundings and call out bs when they see it. PARTICULARLY when Osomatsu is at the heart of that bs. Peak eldest three moments are those where Osomatsu is talking out of his ass, and Karamatsu is making The Exceptical Face that he does only for him (yknow. like 😒 but more Done) while Choromatsu is seconds away from nagging him to filth.
I like to think that they just have an special bond, a sympathetic understanding born from having to see Osomatsu live his best effort-economizing life, where too often they've shared looks that eloquently says "u seeing this bs rn"
So I guess my perception of their relationship is that they're comfortable enough with each other to discuss more personal things, Choromatsu seems to look out for Karamatsu a bit more but on the other hand Kara seems to trust his competence with a degree of honesty (even if he finds it a bit geeky), they can absolutely vibe on the same wavelength, and
I think it's good that they both seem to be Exceptical of the others social persona (Choromatsu more than Karamatsu, which is funny because Kara thinking he's a cool suave guy is so harmless??? Karamatsu on the other hand was horrified when Choromatsu tried to lie about being a NEET in his Christmas card, but other than that he Lets Him Live Laugh Love lol), because if they weren't.... If they fed into each others imaginations??? We'd have reason to worry
I also think that this dynamic is a somewhat recent development, as in, happened post highschool. Idk much about Osomatsu-kun but from what I understand, Karamatsu was more of a shy crybaby (if gluttonous? Call back to the Night Snacks skit where we see a VERY RARE Karamatsu telling Jyushi, arguably his fave youngest sibling, to get his ass back in bed, and all Choromatsu says is "Welp, duh, grub is involved" haha) while Choromatsu had that Godforsaken Temper of his with none of the social conditioning to motivate him to keep it in check.
I like to think about Karamatsu being artistically inclined from middle school, and exploring more earnestly his interests in high school. I used to like the idea of Choromatsu and Jyushimatsu glaring at whoever had a problem with the budding, still somewhat timid High School!Karamatsu being the theatre kid he was born to be, but then again I guess that doesn't quite fit the timeline as we see it in the movie? Shame 😔
Still, something something middleschool and highschool etc, Choromatsu is the one that goes to the McDonald's casheer with Karamatsu's burger and says "he didn't want pickles", and then post highschool they build a dynamic around other things.

So. No one really cares about reality TV but I've started watching Below Deck and I have opinions and I need to rant. Season 1 of below deck sailing yacht is a shit show by which I mean the head stewardess is an ass and like one of those people who knows their shit and they're going to let you know what you're doing wrong every step but like if they break the rules it's fine. The chef also kind of a dick also sleeping with the head stewardess cuz you know that will never cause drama. The first mate take him or leave him he's cute he's nice enough but the one that I care about the most is the guy named Parker. The entire first half of the season they are ripping into this guy, they're like oh he doesn't know a lot cuz he's new, oh he's still attached to his mom's breast (bro! Tf!!?) oh he's not good at following direction, he doesn't follow the hierarchy and like one of them jokes later on AFTER he resigns because he's like I can't deal with this shit anymore, is like the first rule of yawning is shut the fuck up and then they keep making jokes about him and two of the stewardesses are like visibly uncomfortable cuz they were his friends and like I don't know I see a lot of myself in that. This like trying to fit in in an industry that refuses to accommodate people who are a little different. He's like oh how about we do this and they're like shut up and do as you're told. And like the head stewardess I cannot reiterate enough how much of an absolute bitch this woman is and like I don't like to say that about people but she's constantly like I'm the one in charge so you have to listen and I guess that's a thing in boating. And like she has the audacity to use the master suite with the chef and they're like oh it's fine because we're in charge. The chef literally says hey if she says we can do it we can and it's like if anybody else were to do that they would be fired immediately. That shit infuriates me. Like on the one hand I understand experience and history comes with benefits but like?? Using a guest suite when you are a staff member??
The other person who I have a soft spot for is Madison who is the second stewardess. Because she gets shit from Jenna who is the head stewardess and then when Georgia the third stewardess comes on she doesn't know a ton so she's having to pick up her Slack and then they're like Madison why aren't you doing well and she's like I don't fucking know because I'm trying to do five jobs and yet Jenna doesn't know where the goddamn washing machine is but has the audacity to yell at me about laundry.
Jenna also has the audacity to be like oh Madison had a crush on Parker and like it's distracting her and she's not going to bed in a sufficient amount of time cuz she's staying up to talk to Parker meanwhile she's making out with the chef in the galley on shift and again using the master suite. Like?! I understand that being in a lead position comes with benefits but like don't fucking tell me what to do if you're going to go ahead and break the rules. And like Madison is well aware of like why Jenna does things and she's like oh so you're going to finally train Georgia for the good of everybody else and not because I called you out in front of the other crew for using the master suite and your boyfriend had something to say about it?
I love Georgia because she doesn't really cause any problems she's adorable she's a bit inappropriate and flirty but like honestly she's just trying to figure out how to keep everybody at peace and I support that. Cierra and Paget are dating and they argue a bunch because they're not good at being in the same work roles ie both working as deck hands and like having done the research in Googled afterwards they are not together anymore but like honestly she doesn't really bother me either other than the fact that she was a jerk to Parker. Everybody except for Madison and Georgia were jerks to Parker and for that they are on my shit list.
Glen, the captain. I would die for that man he radiates Grandpa/dad energy, he is like the boat dad and he's great. He is very much unlike Captain Sandy who is on below deck Mediterranean in that he's like you don't have to call me Captain just call me Glenn and like always willing to lend a hand anywhere on the boat if he's not doing Captain things like he helps load provisions he helps move things he's just the kind of person that I want more of. I can't agree with the entire boating industry opinion of "respect the hierarchy or shut the fuck up and get out of the industry". This is all to say that I can't wait for season one to be over so I can move on. I won't even get into the guests because they range from a group of adult men who basically act like Frat Boys the entire time and like one of them picks up Madison and uses her as like a weight lift much to her extreme dismay and she's like please put me down several times and then they're like oh don't tell anyone and then when she's out of your shot they're like what she going to do report us to the Greek police? Essentially the entirety of this show is rich people rented a boat for a few days and some of them are wild and crazy and others are like you but with money and the crew are trying to not kill each other because you know essentially living with six people that you never met until the beginning of this season constantly causes Growing Pains.

I'm gonna vent for a moment cuz I'm honestly just......at my mental limit. Please feel free to ignore this.
Do you ever feel like that no matter what you do, it's never enough or it's always wrong?
It's a terrible feeling. And I've been feeling it a lot lately when it comes to my little sister. For awhile now she's seemed to be.....rather mean towards me. It's like anything I do gets on her nerves and she snaps or yells at me or gets cruel with her words. Usually I try to not let it bother me, due to her having bipolar disorder and because I'm the eldest and she's 21 and it'd be foolish to get into petty fights over it. At most if it gets too much I try to talk to her but she doesn't really take it seriously so I just let it go. But today.......
I don't know but today just seems like it's officially gotten to me. It started with this morning. My sister had mentioned something about being tough and from the city and needing a hoodie saying she was so and I'd jokingly said that it'd be false advertisement because she's a country girl, her boyfriend even joining a bit in the joke. And almost immediately she just......went straight for my throat. Started saying that I was ignorant as fuck and that I just piss her off and the usual spiel. Now this wouldn't bother me too much, as like usual when she gets like this I leave the room we share, which is what I did with my coffee to avoid conflict. But it was when I'd went into our room that I heard her talking to our mom and her boyfriend.
She......basically said I was an ignorant bitch. And then shortly after I hear the three of them get into a conversation and then I hear it. My mom and my sister's boyfriend making similar jokes like I did.....and......and she'd laughed along with them and joked right back. As soon as I heard that I just........it took everything to keep from tearing up. Because it hurt, it hurt that she'd say those things about me and yet turn around and laugh at the same jokes when someone else says them.
I think at that moment it just became clear that......that the problem was just me. And as I type this now (because again she'd snapped at me but for the shower cuz I told her to not use all the hot water) and think about this entire day I can't help but wonder......if there's just something wrong with me? Am I doing something wrong? Does she just.....not want to have a relationship with me?? I know it's silly to get upset over this but I'm just so tired of trying with her ya know? I love my little sister too death but........sometimes I just wish she'd be nicer. That she cared enough to see that she's hurting me.
Today's just been an absolute struggle for me to really handle mentally. And I tried to not let it get to me but obviously it is. I'm just tired of being the one getting yelled at. And our mom's getting sick of it too.

me convincing you to this is making my day, I personally say the fic should be set in the descendants' universe just because it is much more simple to explain than why Disney characters are real in our world but you can also go the dimension-hopping idea and just blame a Genni like jay or jorden as to why. if you go the descendant world route, then I say why the reason the Firefam is with royalty is that Buck was a navy seal and they need him to protect Ben during Descendant 1. As to where the Firefam live, I say Suns Fransokyo is the best bet, close Disney location to LA without dipping into to Disney tv animation shows
Okay anon, I know that makes the most sense but I just got the mental image of Athena yelling at Beast for making his 16-year-old King and...wait, why am I trying to act like that's a bad thing?
Firehouse 118 (well at least Bobby, Eddie, Chim, Hen, Buck, and Ravi) and Athena are pulled from San Fransokyo by King Beast to provide protection for Ben in the month leading up to his coronation because the VKs would be coming from the Isle of the Lost; Buck immediately bonding with Emir and Akiho (because no matter what those two are going to be in there). Heh, I could even have Maddie pulled to monitor the extra security they added to the museum with the VKs coming.
(Sorry to any Abby fans but I don't think she'd be part of this fic if and when I write it)
Oooh, I can just imagine everyone from Firehouse 118 resisting the urge to parent/big brother Ben because he's already got parents and they were just there for protection and then they see the VKs and just go 'Well, it's free parenting'.
-Buck would befriend/mentor everyone because, well, he's Buck, and Eddie would befriend everyone too because he'd need to make sure to counter Buck's 'bad influence'
-Hen would befriend/mentor Carlos
-Bobby would be like a second dad to Mal (I'm sorry, I know people like canon but I've become way too invested in my Descendants universe where Mal gets at least one good parent). Plus, Gods, imagine Bobby going all Papa Bear on Natalie.
-Maddie would become a big sister to Evie
-Athena would be like a second mom to the kids (and again, I'm imagining her yelling at Beast like 'Sire I understand you are the King but have you lost your Gods' damned mind? Making a 16-year-old King?')
-Chim and Jay would definitely bond over Tourney and parkour and sporty stuff and corny jokes
Going to admit, I'm not completely familiar with Ravi but you are testing my already weak willpower anon!

i hate election years living with my parents, man. the world is burning, the arctic is melting, the wealth gap is spreading, wages are stagnant, cost of living is skyrocketing, and rights are being taken away and regulated at the whim of old men with hearts full of hate. meanwhile i have to gently talk my mother through an explanation of why it's bad that donald trump said he'd be a dictator, but only on his first day. she also said if biden loses he will also incite an insurrection? and that idk what makes her think that but she also yelled at me for saying trump is a convicted criminal. "so is joe biden" not... not for attempting a coup in response to losing an election though. but she doesn't see the difference. granted my mom kind of revels in her stupidity, i don't really understand her. she's proud of not knowing things, but i'm very much the type of person who is trying to learn every minute of every day, i jokingly call it 'need to know everything disease' and it is a blessing and a curse. the curse is Knowing How Bad It Really Is, obviously. but the blessing is knowing wtf is going on with the world. but she's proud of not knowing anything i'm ever talking about. she's been married to my dad for almost 30 years and she jokes nonstop about how her eyes glaze over when he talks about his work (that he's been doing for 40 years). like... that's not the flex you think it is?
anyway. all rants end up with my mother because she's the root of most of my trauma. my point here is that i was telling her i was anxious about the election and she decided to spend a couple hours arguing. and her point just drives me nuts. basically, she's not voting out of protest ("i'll vote when i see a good option, im 55 and i never have"). no amount of gentle slow explaining can convince her why that's not the protest she thinks it is. her secondary point is that all politicians are vicious criminals who hate you. which, like, yeah, but she uses it as an excuse to play dumb. she's proud of not knowing literally anything at all about politics because the depth and breadth of her knowledge is "politics is boring and politicians are bad". like please. please. the anti-intellectualism is killing me. why do you hate learning.
and that's another thing she does that makes me insane! she's one of those "i make fun of you because i love you" people and bringing it up will just get you a fuckton more teasing. i've spent a decade begging her not to constantly make fun of and bully me because it makes me feel like im in school again. but every time i bring it up she asks "if i didnt tease you how would you know i love you?" as if i wouldn't feel so much more loved if she listened to me. anyway one of the things she teases me about is that i like to learn. i will bring up something cool i learned and she immediately bursts into laughter. i've asked her questions afterwards and she always answers like "i don't know, i wasn't really listening". i'll tell a story and she'll respond with something completely random in a way that shows she wasn't listening even a little bit. that happens especially when im excited and telling good news and she responds with "oh, it'll be okay, hopefully tomorrow is better". like???? okay not only were you not listening, you also see my excitement and joy and assume you need to comfort me? what the fuck is wrong with her.
my sister is a nurse and her and i talk about this all the time. my mom acts stoned constantly. she takes 30-60 seconds to respond to any question and her response is "...what?" at least 1/3 of the time. the rest of the time it's a toss-up whether her response will be a random sentence she pulled out of her ass, or something that has anything to do with the topic being discussed. she doesn't do drugs either! no weed, no pills, not even alcohol. i swear to god she's proud of being stupid and slow. like she's doing it on purpose. she never used to be like this. it makes me want to slap her. wake the fuck up! react to something! join a conversation! learn something about your kid or husband! fuck!

Trisha Brown's Man Walking Down the Side of a Building
YouTube · Walker Art Center
Jun 9, 2009
youtube
Our son has been to this building but it was a bank and it's still a bank that's not an art center and there isn't one there so get a little curious why they were saying that and it's because he's walking and it's an art form amazing. Who's singing about our son and he's criticizing him and ridiculing him and he has no clue what he's saying about and he's an ignorant person he's also very annoying and he is oblivious to a lot of things and he's that stupid looking Italian like guy at Walmart who got run over by a truck in Shrewsbury that's right he's a retard and he's not a smart person and he doesn't understand what our son is all about and what he can do and why he's valuable for real he's a moron he needs to be killed like all these other morons. We did study let me know that hardly any of them can conceive of why he's valuable and we have been eliminating those people. Mostly people who get in the fights with him and yell at them don't have a clue and his mom knew about it and he's valuable but she still would get angry and yell at him because she doesn't understand what he's inventing she's a little clueless for one of the clans persons and they did express it to her this is better I can't understand Ken no he doesn't have a full grasp of it either so this is to show you what it's like for him it's a lot of people don't understand it these two in the apartment don't get it they're dumb Terry cheesman knows. Bja knows off and on and he's not reliable he's an imbecile these people are sick and I can't remember where they are lots of times and they do need help getting around and it's not right to have him with them but he's forced to be by everybody else and improved costly now Mac is off and on too he doesn't get it that much and he parked his bike so he can move it so I'll send it to get up and see if there's anybody working and get in trouble he thought and our son didn't get in trouble and nobody took anything but he tried to fake it and try coming back and on stupid s*** so he's all done we had a situation and he's f****** around trying to grab him cuz he thought that he was going to invade so he's all done okay that guys smoked. My son picked up on it just didn't have the energy to start yelling about it and people there knew and he said okay you're the witnesses have fun and I said this is great LOL crap this town is so they went outside instead of yelling the guy left they got it said oh he's going to come back so they left unless there's stuff there and they left the stuff there now they grabbed it and left it was just a lady really the other guy already left saw you leaving and said oh s*** and she didn't put it together I'll send you both together and said he's gone off to get the cop car and I'll be sitting here she probably just stay there true and took him 20 minutes and he figured out he was not there so he drove by came back when she left and there's no one there so immediately he thought she ratted I was watching he's just done with the laundry but what I'm paying that guy is completely toasted it's running this huge operation trying to kidnap her son and he's trying to get the military in here.
And we saw him he was facing these people down. But he moved a lot of troops to the inside they said you can go home or you can fight us. They managed to go back to their houses no it started fighting said you're small you can just wipe you out and Corky's a shitted and they got hit from ships so many times it was a joke and they pretty much all died. Her son said the lady get help and you said no I said get lost then because I'm actually using ships and she says okay. The whole thing ended with about 300,000 dead and they came in and looking for a hundred thousand accomplices who escaped.
It probably was about half original people here and that's a lot and it was 10 from the neighborhood so yeah we're down to 110 and that's pretty low.
We probably have a few more rounds of that and then they won't be able to do it and people will stop coming in that's because people will be blocked and we will have to come in by force and we shall as we already are. Right now our infiltrating pretty well and we will have a decent amount of people here shortly it's not a fun place to be rarely just anything to work right. And we're watching him have trouble everyday and just barely make it. There's a lot of problems here. And Mac is nuts and there's a kidnapper and one flew of the cuckoo's nest movie people say it already happened and yeah it happened Oregon and Washington State are closing shortly and our son says there's going to be a bunch of movies there and they're trying to keep it open by going after stuff and that's true and we think the movie happens later and it works for us. Most of the gifted people don't want to be over and don't want him to get his brain back and a lot of them are holding on to that and people see it and a lot of people don't like it namely back doesn't like it there's a large force of people that are heading here cuz what happened this morning and let's look like you're screwing around with her son and may have been a little cuz he's not very well but he was also running that program to stop the idiots and it was necessary they're freaking nuts and it's going to happen again if people don't stop them so we did not find an amusement at all right now gathering up north and it's to come here and just straighten these people out.
Couple other things are occurring these guys noticed that this is a heinous place that innocence and you're sending for people to come fix things and so they can have a presence so nasty nasty place and it's full of idiots.
-another thing is that they are figuring out nobody here wants to do anything. They tried pilot programs and small factories and most of the people don't want to do it. Minority morlock don't want to do it they don't want factory jobs and they don't want to be that part of establishment they have areas where they do that. There however helping to fix things and there's a lot of them doing it.
-there's a bunch of people who are ignoring everything that's going on for the most part then they're massively annoying there's a group going the wrong way and they fight other rebels and it's disgusting everybody is just going to take your territory and that's the way it is bja has discussed going after minority morlock areas and Trump areas right now in the eastern hemisphere bja is rolling over Trump and he's rolling over Stan and the Viking areas there's only one group left and is contemplating doing it and that's minority molok ... That sounds suggested a temporary structure between the garage and house for some reason they don't want to attach it so he decided he's going to try and figure out if you can do that and you're a bunch of idiots because my code he can bring the garage up the code and attached to the house and he can rebuild on the footing and foundation is there because his grandfather closed and he needs a good lawyer to sue the town for money because what they're doing is wrong and to sue to get a bill it might ruin the whole house and it might ruin his living situation but it's the right thing to do and said are you a lawyers to know I'm a construction professional and listed in who's who. You suddenly see something you had to be recommended so he's going to court no he's going to go to the town because he researched it in the code book and ordinances and it says it right there that he can rebuild and they're a bunch of dummies and yeah it's a trumpster doing it and the guy next door is an airhead a****** oh yes he's got to fight he has to go downtown and fight it's a lot of work we're going to publish him we have another subject

TW: religion (christianity) homophobia and transphobia
So this is a vent I guess? I don't know how to start this. I have good parents, I do. Everything they do they do because they are trying to do right by my siblings and I. But I have a complicated relationship with my dad. If he's around, I feel safe, and yet he makes me so tense. I don't know how to explain that very well. I don't worry for my safety when he's around (I will kinda contradict this later. I'm just doing my best to explain my feelings toward him right now). But, last year, a friend of mine had their 18th birthday and invited me to go to the mall with them, their older sister, and their mother. I happily went along because I had nothing else going on that weekend (The mall was the main thing but it wasn't the only thing). I spent about 36-40 hours with only those three people. And while I was with them I realized something. I had relaxed. I didn't even know how on edge I was all of the time in my own home. My friend is queer, as is their mom. And their sister is an ally. I didn't have to fear being myself and it was so nice. Both of my parents are homophobic, but in slightly different ways. My dad, I think, is worse when it comes to homophobia and transphobia. He once demanded my brother (10 years old) turn off a cartoon because a boy had a crush on another boy. He has no problem if he watches adult movies, though. He's against gay marriage, and he's talked about that plenty. I remember once he sent me a horrid video of a pastor yelling derogatory things about queer people. I was in the car with my mom and my three younger siblings that day. I cried for maybe five minutes, though I had enough practice at that point I was able to do it quietly and without anyone noticing. It hurt immensely. My dad likes talking politics and religion with friends and family, which I hate, because I will often get dragged into the conversations if I am around. And if the topic of queer people comes up, I immediately start panicking. Like heart racing hands shaking et cetera. Every time I was dragged into one I had to throw my my identity and my friends under the bus as to not get found out. I was terrified of getting found out by anyone. Especially close family and neighbors. I had a family member tell my younger brother he'd shoot him if he was gay. Neither of us knew if he was joking. He's not afraid of shooting at people. He's done it plenty. But knowing this came from someone I've always trusted with secrets and someone who I would tell ghost stories with when I was younger killed me inside. To put it simply, I didn't feel safe being myself in my own home. And my dad, who I usually sought comfort in, always made things worse. Years and years of this shit took it's toll on me. Sometimes I'd be up hours after I was supposed to be sleeping because I feared dying in my sleep and waking up in hell for the great sin of existing. Everyday, I was worried he'd say something bigoted or send me something bigoted or place me into a position to have to say something bigoted. And when I was away for awhile I calmed down. Because I didn't have to worry. I didn't fully relax until Sunday, but I still hadn't let my guard down that much around an authority figure (my friend's mom that I've known since birth) in forever. I honestly can't remember when I had before that. I don't know. I've been wanting to say all of this for awhile. I feel like I'm complaining or I'm ungrateful. I have a father who loves me and is in my life. I just, he's caused me a lot of pain, you know? I just needed to get this off my chest.
Hi anon,
I'm so sorry about what you've been going through.
Please know that your complaints are valid and you're not ungrateful. Your dad sounds disrespectful of your identity and other people who identify similarly. You don't deserve to put up with that.
It's okay if you have mixed feelings towards your dad. On one hand he loves you and is in your life, but on the other hand he says things that are so hurtful that you're afraid to be yourself around him. Both of these feelings are valid.
If you can access or afford it, and if you don't already have it, I recommend looking into getting a therapist. A mental health professional could help you process these experiences and anything you may be dealing with as a result. You deserve the best care available, especially with everything you've been dealing with.
I hope that you can get to live in a place where you feel safe. I hope I could help, and please let us know if you need anything.

Dairy Farms
And cue the militant vegans screaming at me in the notes because I dare to talk about *gasp* dairy (although a lot of people like just repeating the same information and yelling, no youre wrong and im right)
But jokes aside, it's actually really hard to find accurate information on the diary industry because organizations like PETA and basically any animal welfare group screams that dairy is evil, dairy is scary
It's not
A lot of the pictures you see of mistreatment of the cows are A: extreme examples and are outliers (and often from organic farms) or B: out of context (like a picture of a cow in a field where it rained the night before so theres a lot of mud)
Because simply put, dairy cows produce more milk when they're not stressed. It is literally in the farmers best financial interest to keep the animals happy and healthy. A cow can straight up stop producing milk if they get too stressed. And when we still milked, you want to know how we got them into the stalls? We opened the gates from the field and they all walked in and stood in their spots. My grandpa only had to nudge one out and over into her spot. (We even waited on Granny cow to get in)
Dairy calves are usually taken away from their moms not long after they're born, but there are reasons for this. One, dairy cows aren't usually the best moms. If you get between them and a calf, yeah they'll charge you, but it doesn't matter if its their calf or not.
Two, its for safety reasons, not just for the farmer but for the calf. Cows are big creatures, and they can accidentally kill the calves or the calves can get sick because they dont have a strong immune system
And before anyone says 'the cows are crying for their children' no they aren't. The cows literally do not care. When I was younger, and when we still milked, the young calves were kept in the back of the barn, through a big open doorway. Those were the calves of the milking cows, who walked into the barn and their stalls without guidance, who at any moment could have went back there to try to get to the calves. And not one of them did.
(I also saw a story that had people being 'i will never buy dairy again this is so sad' and it just proves how guillible people are. The whole thing was a dairy cow hid one of her twins so it wouldnt get killed and she kept coming to the parlor dry, which meant a single calf drank six to seven gallons of milk. You know, just like twelve times what they normally drink.)
Male dairy calves are not immediately shot in the head and to suggest that is frankly disgusting. We don't tend to keep them, because as I've said before bulls are dangerous, but also they're sold off to other farmers to raise for meat. (Also veal crates are illegal in nine states in the US including in some of the highest dairy producing states)
I think I've explained AI for cows before, so I'm not touching on that again except to say that bulls can end up crushing a cows pelvis and that yeah, those cows would be getting very pregnant anyways
Those white hutches you can see cows in are designed to keep them nice and comfortable. I remember my mom's fiance's sister-in-law throwing a fit when her son worked at the larger dairy farm up the road. (she also threw a fit when said kid got kicked by a cow, and its like what were you doing to the cow?)
Also fun fact, cows kick to the side, which means if they really didn't want to be milked uh, yeah
The milking machines don't hurt, its like a light vacuum (my grandpa had be shove my finger into one of the tubes once) aka what the babies would be doing when drinking
Cows are part of the carbon cycle, which means they really aren't as big of a climate issue as people make them out to be. Essentially, the methane they release will turn to CO2 and then that will get taken up by plants. You can't create something out of nothing, and the methane is a by product of their metabolism. By this logic, human's millions or billions of tons of carbon dioxide we breath is also contributing to global warming (its not, because again its part of the carbon cycle, unlike coal which is carbon thats been out of the cycle for a long time)
Oh, and the biggest thing is, small farms sell their milk too. And there are levels that you have to meet in order to have your milk sold (aka that there is pus in milk thing is a lie) and that includes antibiotics.

GUILTY MISTAKE
Tumblr media
PAIRING: Kang Yeosang x M!Reader
GENRE: Angst, Fluff
WARNINGS: M!reader bullying sweet baby Yeosang, bad friends
SUMMARY: You've made a huge mistake once when you were a child and it's been in your head for the rest of your life, haunting you unless you've done something about it.
Tumblr media
Just last month, you had turned six years old and you couldn't be more happier. For some unknown reasons, you liked how you grew older after every year, mostly because you receive gifts from your mom and dad and, of course, your friends who were about a year older than you.
Every year, on your birthday, you'd get expensive items and presents that you have been wanting for so long and foods that you get to eat with your family and friends. Loud music booming through the speakers, giggling while you made jokes with your friends laughing at almost everything due to the excitement and adrenaline that rushed through your bodies.
But, once everything was over and you know that everyone had to leave, you just keep on wishing that it was your birthday everyday. That way, everyone could still have fun and be happy with you, but then again, where's the thrill in that? They'd probably grow tired of it.
Right now, you were playing with your toys that you received creating specific sounds that corresponds to the action you controlled them to do, when you heard the doorbell ring making you gasp with joy at the thought of having a guest paying a visit.
You stood up from your position, your short legs running towards the door as you reached for the knob and turned it to open the door for the person behind it. The door moves wide open and reveals a woman who didn't look quite older than your mother, while you smiled and looked up at her. "Good morning!" You greeted her.
The woman's eyes fell down to you, beaming with glee at your politeness. "A very good morning to you, too, deary." She replied. "Is your mom or dad around? We're actually new to the neighborhood. We just moved from Busan."
You nod your head to answer her as you walked up to your mother who was in the kitchen cooking lunch. "Mom, someone's at the door for you."
"Really? Who is it?" Your mother asked you, wiping her newly washed hands on her apron.
You shrugged your shoulder, holding onto your mom's hand. "Neighbor said she was new." You and your mom was now in front of the door and the two women greeted each other as the other woman handed out a basket to your mom while you waited patiently for your mom to give it to you.
As soon as she did, you waggled your small feet towards the table before you caught a glimpse of a kid, not much taller than you, peeking from behind his mother's pants. He looked scared and shy, but it seemed to you that he wanted to approach you, but he was just too timid to do so.
You gave him your million dollar smile that made the small boy giggle at your friendliness, you jumping down from where you sat with a small groan when you hit the floor. You ran back towards the door, now seeing the chubby boy whose tummy was curving like a small hill on his stomach.
He wore a blue tiny jumper that fit perfectly onto his body, with a striped long sleeves under his jumper, white socks and shoes that almost looked worn out. You approached the boy a comfortable distance away and looked behind the woman that looked to be like his mother, a wide smile still present on your face as you waved a hand at him hello.
The boy bashfully hid, only leaving his arm to be left seen while waving back at you hesitantly. You could see how much the boy struggled to make friends with you so you decided to close in on the distance leading your feet towards the boy and poked your head out that made the boy flinch. "Heya there!" You said, now standing in front of him as the little boy hid his eyes away from you. "Don't be scared. People tell me I'm kind." You giggled softly, the other boy glancing up at you before quickly looking away once again. "I'm M/n, by the way. How about you? What's your name?"
He looked up at you shyly and stammered. "I-I'm Yeothang."
"Yeothang? What a unique name." You beamed, but he shook his head to correct you.
"No, no. Yeothang."
"Oh, you got a lisp." You said at the sudden realization and he nodded his head. "So, Yeosang?" He nodded again. "Yeosang. You have a pretty name." You said, finally noticing the birth mark that decorated the side of his left eye. You gasped and pointed at it. "Wowza! You have a cool looking tattoo!"
"It'th... It'th not a tattoo, M/n." Small Yeosang said, hesitating to call you by your name. "Mommy told me it'th a birth mark."
"Ooh, a birth mark. I wish I had one just like yours." You pouted. "I've got nothing."
Yeosang giggles at you making you smile. "That'th okay, M/n." He said and looks at you with his small brown orbs. "You look great even without them." He said, before he sniffed due to his runny nose that caused a snot to fall from his nose.
You were able to see this and pulled the hem of your shirt to wipe it from his nose and smiled brightly at him, which in turn, earned you a face of shock from Yeosang. "There."
"But, I dirtied your shirt." He furrowed his brows.
You waved it off and gave him assurance. "Don't you worry. My clothes get cleaned pretty well, so it's alright." You told him. "Oh, hey, wanna eat the snack your mom gave us? I saw cookies there. I bet you love cookies."
He nods his head once and immediately, you took his wrist into your small hands that barely closed around it as you pulled him inside and to your kitchen table. You let Yeosang take a seat first, since he needed a little help from his small size. You were next to take seat, settling on the seat beside him. You opened the basket that was wrapped with a cling wrap to secure it properly.
You let yourself drool at the sight of all the delicious delicacies that was inside the basket. "That is a lot." You chuckled cutely, unable to decide which baked goods to eat first. Throughout your process of thinking, your mother and Yeosang's mother had finished their conversation and the latter was called over. Yeosang gave his mother a small 'coming', before climbing down the seat as you pouted. "You're leaving already."
"I'm afraid tho, M/n." Yeosang replied sadly as you thought.
You pondered for a moment before you hastily took a bunch of the delicacies from the basket and went down to give it to Yeosang. "Here. I want you to take this with you. Eat them, or else."
Yeosang nodded and gave you a look of delight at your kind and cute gesture. "I will, M/n." He said before he jogged off to his mother showing her what you gave to him.
"Bye, Sangie!"
"Bye, M/n."
The following day, you were with your friends by the children's playground playing a round of tag, you being the tagger. "Tag, you're it!" You yelled on top of your lungs once you were able to catch up with the smallest of your group of friends, who whined in protest and stomped his foot.
"I'm always 'it'! Why can't it be—"
"Can I play, too?" That all too familiar sweet, honey like voice came from behind him, taking all of your attentions as your head all turned to him and revealed the very shy Yeosang. "I know how to play the game. We uthed to play that back at home."
"Yeosang, of cour—" You were about to reply, but your friends' rejection to his action of joining cut you off.
"Ew, no way. We don't want your boogers and sticky green nose liquid on us. Get away!"
"Yeah, go away! We don't want you playing with us."
"Booger boy!"
"Go play in another playground!"
Those were the words that your friends threw at him that got you shocked from hearing what your friends were saying to Yeosang. Your eyes had widened in shock while you could clearly see the hurt in his eyes that was now glossy with his forming tears from the mean comments he received from your friends. You clearly didn't know there was something going on with your friends and Yeosang.
Yeosang's pleading eyes was placed onto you as he waited for your answer, fiddling with his fingers. Your friends were the best people you could ever have and losing them never crossed your thought, so to avoid this situation from happening, you did what you thought was going to keep them as your friends. "Sure. You can play with us." You said, which made Yeosang hopefully smile, but he immediately took it back from what he heard next from you. "If you weren't so disgusting."
At that, you smirked and all your friends bursted out laughing giving you a clap at the back, the dejected Yeosang hanging his head low, feeling embarrassed. Although he was shamed upon, he still knew you had that kindness inside you and guessed you might have done that for a reason, so he gleamed and looked back at you. "Alright. Maybe next time? When I'm not snot booger rocket anymore." He snorted while laughing that made you all look at him like he's a weirdo.
"Go away! We never want to play with you, again."
And what you thought was just a one time thing, became a permanent bullying towards the poor little boy who only wanted to make friends and play with you. Before they left Busan, he had promised his mom that he wouldn't be the shy boy his parents knew him as, and become friends with the children at their new home, but it looked it was 'friends' that didn't want him.
Their first day, the day he met you, he was so excited and happy that he was able to make a friend, even if it were you who was the first one to approach him. He admired how you were so brave to befriend him and your politeness was one of the things he praised you for. He also thought you were a really kind and friendly kid, but looking at it now, it looked like he was wrong as he was once again rejected to play with you, seating on one of the swings that were a far distance away from where you and your friends played tag.
He sighed, but he didn't want to give up that easily so he ran to you while giggling repeating the words, 'I wanna play' over and over again which got to your friends' nerves, to the point where one of them pushed Yeosang to the ground which got your mouth gaping at the shock, while Yeosang stared up the person who pushed him, eyes starting to swell with tears. As though the fact that he was pushed to the ground wasn't enough, the same person kicked him by the leg which got Yeosang shouting in pain, before standing back up crying and ran home.
You made your way to your friends and glared at them. "Hey, that was too much."
"Why do you care so much?" He sassed at you. "He deserved it."
Your glare didn't falter, but softened when your eyes caught sight of a crying Yeosang. While your friends started to pile up in the middle of the place, you were still caught up in your thoughts, wishing you had just been nice to Yeosang and left your friends for treating Yeosang like that.
Yeosang didn't deserve it. He was a sweet, innocent and kind-hearted boy. He was too pure for this world. He didn't even give up once on trying to be friends with you, but all you ever did was tease him and mock him, call him names like 'booger boy' as you all called him as, 'weirdo', and all sorts of things. Finally realizing your fault, you sighed and regretted the treatment you gave Yeosang. "Sangie..."
A month or so after, you heard about the Kang family moving to another neighborhood which made you feel so bad and hate yourself totally. You didn't even get to say your sorry to Yeosang properly. The little boy never again showed up at the playground and only did when he was asked to throw the trash, all bundled up under so much clothings, since it was winter. That was the only moment you could ever see him.
You rushed out of your house and saw that they were now entering their car, you zoomed across the street and called Yeosang. "Yeosag, Yeosang! Wait!"
This got his attention, snapping his head towards you with a big smile. "M/n! You came to thee me off?" He giggled, making you feel guilty.
You shook your head and knitted your brows. "Why are you leaving? Where are you going?" You asked all in one go.
"We're moving back to Buthan, thince mom wath able to find a plathe there where it'th rent free and could all fit uth in." Then, he leaned in close to your ear to whisper. "Don't worry. I never told mom that your friendth hated me." He giggled secretly.
"Sangie... I also did bad things to you.." You told him sadly.
"I know." Yeosang smiled. "But, I know you didn't do it on purpothe."
"Yeosang, the car's about to leave."
"Oh, I gotta go now. Bye, M/n." He said and waved you goodbye while entering the cab and rolled the windows down while he smiled up at you. "Hope to thee you thoon again, M/n." He said one last time before the car drove off to their destination.
And there it goes. Your last chance to say sorry. Lost. Now, you're left with a lingering feeling of pure guilt and regret.
-------
Years after and you have disbanded with your friends, you are still living with the regret that you made from when you were young. You had just turned 18 years old last month and you were even sadder than the last. Instead of wishing gifts and presents from your new found friends and families, you were only wishing for Yeosang to come back so you could just tell him how much you were sorry and hug him so tightly that he wouldn't be able to breathe.
Your sullen look was noticed by your mother, who by the way, already knew your sin towards Yeosang since you had told her about it already. The first time you told her, she was aggravated with you for not being the child she had raised you to be. You told her the purpose of your action, thus the reason why you left your friend group and boy was your mom right to have let you leave them. What once was playful, turned harsh and violent and you didn't want to be a part of that. "What's wrong, honey? Don't you like your gifts?" Your mother asked you in concern.
You shook your head and sighed. "It's not that. I'm just... feeling like a total jerk."
Your mother sighed at you sadly and sat down beside you, patting you lightly on the back. "Honey, what you've done was wrong, but trust me when I say that Yeosang has a kind heart and if you ever tell him you're sorry, he'd forgive you right away."
"Thanks, mom." You said. "But, people change as they grow."
"Not Yeosang."
You rolled your eyes at your mom with a smirk. "Sure mom. Not Yeosang." You shook your head in disbelief. "I just wish you're right, mom."
You stood up from your seat, as your mother did and walked your way out the door taking in the fresh air of the morning during spring season, when all the trees stood straight and tall, the flowers blooming with all their beauty. You smiled at the sight and took the camera that was hanging by your neck, over a sling and took a picture of the ethereal scenery.
You walked past your porch and started heading to the park to get some takes on your camera to post on your Instagram to entertain your million followers. As you did, you were able to pass by an ice cream stall, so you took a quick stop and bought three scoops of (favorite ice cream flavor) with chocolate syrup and sprinkles to top it off.
You were wearing a smile, happily licking your ice cream away. You let your eyes explore the world around you, finding everything interesting. All these years, the place had been making a lot of changes. From buildings to parks and work towers, everything just felt new, as if you never got to spend time, at least once visiting these places throughout you're whole eighteen years of existence.
You finally arrived at the park, everything from your childhood flashing back through your head. The once only a children's playground is now a family park, but rather than being reminded by the joyous memories, you were able to remember the memory that's been haunting you for life.
You couldn't believe yourself that you had the ability to bully such an innocent kid, while you kept blaming yourself for their sudden moving away. If you had the power to turn back time, you'd make things right with Yeosang and be a better friend to him, which you couldn't do because you wanted to be with the 'cool kids' when all they ever did was make a person's life miserable.
You found a bench to seat on and checked through the pictures you took on your camera, laughing at a video of Mingi getting drunk with Yunho, carrying him like he was a puppy. You just missed those two so bad. You never got another chance to meet them, not even once, since they're both now busy with their job and you're still here trying to find a way to pass the college entrance examination.
Whenever they're around, you three would always be loud as fuck and wouldn't care a thing about the world, just as long as you three are happy. Of course, you didn't go too far just to be happy, unlike the friends you once had.
You still had the smile on as you sighed satisfied and rested your camera back down to let it hang on your neck. You looked around you and saw children playing by the fountain, their parents watching with glee at the sight of their children playing happily. You grabbed your camera and took a picture of the wonderful scene.
You took a few more shots, satisfied, you were finally about to leave with not much else to do, when in a distance you heard a gruff voice call out to you. "M/n? Didn't expect to see you here."
You looked behind you to see Mingi who was in his suit holding a case, his golden wrist watch shining brightly under the sun's light. You smirked and scoffed. "I could tell you the same thing." You said all the while crossing your arms over your chest. "Mingi, are you slacking off?"
Mingi rolled his eyes at your teasing. "I take my job seriously, M/n. I'm not the same person who cuts classes."
"Sure. Sure." You mocked him, while he glared at you. "Anyways, how are you and Yunho doing?"
The brown haired male smiled at the thought of the taller male and sighed. "Oh, you know. The usual. Us missing you and wanting to baby you."
This time, it was you who rolled your eyes, the smirk on your face growing wider, if possible. "You both still on that?"
"Well, you're pretty much the reason how we got together. So, it's just a way of us showing our gratitude for having you in our life." Mingi patted your head making you giggle at the simple contact.
"I just hated how you two were so dense with all the signs you both tried so hard to make the other notice. I had to do something, at least." You said.
"But, weren't you the one who told me you had feelings for Yunho?" He teasingly wiggled his brows at you, making you blush profusely.
"Shut up. There are pasts that should be forgotten and it includes that." You huffed, puffing up your cheeks making you look like a little squirrel. "And you promised we would never speak of this ever again." You pulled your brows in disappointment, looking up at him. "All you do is lie."
"Hey, hey. I don't go that far." Mingi defended himself, before pulling you into his arms to hug you. "But, if you're so embarrassed about it, it'll be just our little secret."
"Don't even promise me if you're just going to break them in the end." You deadpanned making Mingi let out a deep voiced chuckle.
"Alright."
Soon, the two of you parted ways, waving your hands to each other to say goodbye. You were making your way back home, when you noticed a moving truck from the house next door. A new neighbor? You walked up to the truck driver to greet her and do some important interview. "Good morning, ma'am. Did someone just move in?"
"Oh, nice to see friendly faces up in here." She chuckled. "It's not everyday you get the luck to meet one." She sighs from her aching back, before exhaling deeply. "Yeah. Rich families, to be exact. Paid me a good tip." She said making you giggle.
"I see." You laughed lightly. "Well, have a great day, ma'am. Hope to see you, again." You waved her goodbye, the woman doing the same to you.
You hummed to a song as you finished your walk, now in front of your porch, your mom tending with her flowers. "Had a good day, honey?"
"Better than great." You replied. "I met Mingi on his way to his job. Thought he was slacking off like he usually does." You chortled, earning a playful slap on the back from your mom.
"Oh, you." She told you before she led you inside and went straight to the kitchen. "Oh, by the way, have you met the new neighbors next door?"
"Nope." You answered, popping the 'p' with a purse of your lips at the end, then sat down on a seat excited to eat the apple pie your mother made while you were away. Once, it got placed down on the table, you hurriedly dug in with your barehands, but before you could, your mother slapped your hand making you pout as she folded her gardening apron.
"That's for the neighbors." She informed you, your mouth opening in understanding while nodding your head. "And I'm letting you do the honors to give this to them, since I believe, the new neighbors' son was a friend of yours."
"A friend? Who?" You asked with a raised brow, but your mother only gave you a wink and carefully hands you the apple pie. With no other choice, you stood up and wore your bunny slippers, too lazy to put your shoes back on, as you headed to the house next door.
You walked up the small stairs that led up to the house's front door and knocked three times. You waited for a reply, but you received nothing, so you waited before knocking on the door, once again just in case they didn't hear you.
Alas, a male's voice was heard, shouting a loud 'coming' to inform you that someone was finally coming for the door. You stood there patiently with a smile, practicing in your head what you will have to say to the male. The door soon flew open and appeared a tall man, who looked freakishly handsome, his features flawless that it's making it hard for you to look away. He was so surreal. Like a character pulled straight out from a comic.
You tried to utter a word, but the lines you prepared in your head was long forgotten. "Uh..." Was the only word you could ever stable.
"Er.. Is that for us?" The male asked you, snapping you from your thoughts and nodding your head, taking notice of the small lisp he had with the letter 's'.
"Uh, yeah, yeah. It's for you and your family." You said. "It's actually a tradition, so we make the new neighbors feel welcome." You added and slowly gave it to the male infront of you, a smile gracing upon his features. Goodness, his smile is so stunning.
He accepted the gift and took it into his hands. You bowed curtly and had decided to make your way back, when the male had caught your attention. "Wait, don't go just yet. Why don't you come inside and have a bite?"
And who were you to turn down an offer from a cute guy? "Uhm, er, sure. Yeah, I'd love to." He lets you walk inside first as he closes the door, a small creak and click coming from it.
"Hol'up, you're not a pedophile, are you?" You suddenly asked out of fear. "There's been a lot of news going on around the world and I've prepared my whole life, so I can fight you."
"No, no. For sure, I'm not." He said as he walked by past you, leading the way to the kitchen to guide you. Once you two made it to the kitchen, the things on the table were cleared, the car keys hiding it in his pockets. "Take a seat. I'll go grab some plates."
"Your mom and dad?" You asked out of the blue, making him chuckle.
"You're so full of questions." He told you. "They're buying groceries."
"Oh." You let out silently, sitting down while fiddling with your fingers since you got nothing else to do.
The male came back with what he intended to get and placed one on your side, then one on his, moving to the kitchen isle to get a knife to cut the pie. "So, how's your life going?"
You thought for while taking a long deep breathe. "Well, I guess you could pretty much say, complicated." You answered and when he didn't speak back to let you keep on talking, you continued. "There's days where I feel so happy, then there are days where I feel miserable." You looked up at him while he cuts the pie. "I just wish... I..." You trailed off once you were able to catch a glimpse of the discoloration of a certain area on the side of his head. Wait a minute. That birthmark...
The moment you were able to figure it out, you jumped up from your seat and widened your eyes in shock. "Yeo.. Yeosang..?"
He let out a small chuckle, before stopping his actions and looking up at you. "So, you saw my tattoo, huh?"
You couldn't believe it. He was back, but different. He's no longer the chubby little boy with snot running down his nose, he's now a total hottie and he's even taller than you already. "O-oh my gosh.. Yeosang.. You look so.. different."
"Well, I wanted to be your friend badly, I decided to change for you, but it was also a self-decision, so don't feel so bad, M/n." Yeosang said. He did change, but his personality is still the same old Yeosang.
"Yeosang, I was your friend. I was just a coward." You sadly said, your guilt even growing bigger. "I'm so sorry."
Yeosang moved to your side and pulled you into his arms, the strong scent of something sweet and musky all at the same time, tickling your nose. His embrace was so warm and caring that you never wanted him to pull away. "M/n, I have forgiven you a long time ago, already. You don't have to say sorry, anymore."
"Just let me do it, Sang. The thought of not being able to see you again keeps plaguing me for days." You admitted. "I kept on blaming myself that I was the reason why you moved away."
"No, M/n, you're not. Please, don't be hard on yourself." He said, caressing your hair. "It was a family business, so we had to move to a place near dad's work place."
You gave him a light punch and stifled a laugh. "You should have told me sooner."
You both got into a comfortable silence, before Yeosang decided to break it. "Well, how about we eat and catch up on each others' lives, yeah?"
"That sounds lovely."

"I don't know about this." You say to Hwasa, tugging on her arm as she tries to walk into the club.
Your dress is tight, and you feel overly uncomfortable in something so revealing and your heels, especially since you are not small. You are a bigger girl, with a stomach, thick thighs and curves. You have rolls when you sit down, and stretch marks radiating up your sides. You're not like the kind of girls who go to these clubs and it was severely affecting your confidence.
"Ayn." She smiles. "I promise it'll all be okay. You don't have to do anything you don't want to do."
With a sigh you nod your head and Hwasa takes your hand leading you inside the club. The music was loud, you could feel the bass thumping on your feet as you walked towards the bar. Your eyes wandered as you were being led by Hwasa. Rich looking men in suits that had become untucked, their sleeves rolled up and collars loosened. They made sure to show off their watches, flashing the expensive ones, not a care in the world here. Most of the men were surrounded by women, some looking quite cozy, but some looking rather uninterested in what their company had to say.
As you sat down at the bar and ordered a glass of wine, your eyes continued to wander, especially over to a group of men who were by themselves.
"Those guys rarely find anyone here." Hwasa says, leaning over to whisper in your ear. "They are a few of the most wealthy men and their tastes are very particular." She finishes, sitting back up to take a sip of her wine.
Not even five minutes later a man approaches Hwasa, asking her if she wants to dance. She looks at you, making you roll your eyes. "Go." You laugh.
"Are you sure?" She asks.
"Get out of here, I'm fine." You assure her.
She takes the man's hand, and heads out to the dance floor. You watch her as she laughs, her head thrown back, the man's eyes watching her intently and in awe. You can already tell he's smitten with her, and they just met.
You turn back around, and take another sip of your drink, when you feel a warm presence behind you, someone pressing himself against you. You turn around slightly, and see a man with a smirk on his face. He backs up, looking at you and then down to his crotch which very clearly proved he had an election.
"Want to take care of this for me?" He asks, tilting his head to the side.
"No." You flat out say, going to turn yourself back around, when he grabs onto your arm, his grip tight as he squeezes your wrist.
"C'mon sweetheart, don't be like that." He grunts, his eyes wide, motioning down to his crotch.
"I said no." You yell, trying to shake him off your arm but he tightens his grip.
You can see his face begin to go red as he begins to get angry at your refusal. You try to fight him off more but he won't let go. He raises his other hand as if he was going to slap you. You closed your eyes, bracing yourself for the impact but it never came, and suddenly your arm was free. You open one eye and see the man on the floor, with another man shaking his fist.
"She said no, fucking respect that." The man yells, giving the man on the ground a swift kick to the ribs.
"Are you okay?" He asks.
"Um, yeah.. I'm fine. Thank you." You whisper. You go to turn back around, wanting to leave this place and never let Hwasa convince you to do anything ever again.
"Would you like to join me at my table?" He asks, causing you to spin back around, mid sip of your cocktail. You try to swallow but slight choke as you nod your head yes  "Sure. I would love to." You sputter, trying to wipe the remnants of your drink from your chin.
You grab your drinj and follow the man to a table, the table that Hwasa had said before was very particular.
"Chanyeol this is.." he pauses, motioning to you to speak.
"Ayn. L/N Ayn." You say with a smile.
"I'm Park Chanyeol." He smiles, gently shaking your hand.
"And I'm Johnny Seo," He smiles. He eyes trail down your body before going back up to make eye contact.
"Nice to meet you both." You smile, sitting down on the edge of the couch. Your eyes dart from Johnny to Chanyeol then back to Johnny, but his eyes haven't left you for a moment. You nervously take a sip of your drinj before turning your head and really look at him.
Fuck, he's absolutely beautiful. His combed brown hair perfectly frames his face, his smile radiates through the entire club, and from what you can see from under his dress shirt, he had a nice body. As much as you tried to ignore it, the feeling that you didn't belong radiated through your body, filling your brain up with possible situations or words that could possibly be said to you. And it made you nervous. Johnny leans over, his lips hovering beside your ears. You can feel his hot breath radiating down your neck. "You are beautiful." He whispers. Your face immediately turns red and hot, a blush forming against your will. Before you can respond, Hwasa runs up to you, grabbing your wrist. "Ayn." She panics. "We have to go. Now!" She yells, yanking on your arm to pull you up.
"Oh." You partially panic. You sort of toss your glass down and stand up, Johnny's eyes on you. "I'm sorry." You say to him before Hwasa pulls you harder. "Thank you." You mouth before turning your head to watch where you're going.
A few minutes later you and Hwasa are outside and down the street from the club. You both stop, your hands on your hips as you both catch your breath. Running in heels is not an easy task for anyone.
"What the hell?" You whine. "Did you see that fine ass man in there?"
Hwasa laughs. "I'm sorry, Ayn. That guy I was dancing with, oh my god. He was fucking weird. Talking about going back to his mom's house, and how we can be loud because she's partially deaf. I needed to get out of there."
Your mouth hangs open as Hwasa describes the man she had been flirting with. You burst out laughing at her misfortune, the roles finally having reversed on the two of you.
"Now you know what I go through most of the time." You joke. You both begin walking back towards your apartment, linking arms as you keep a casual pace, talking and laughing, completely forgetting about Johnny, he was something that likely would have never happened for you anyways. He was a dream that would never have come true.
**
The next day, you went about your day, the thought of Johnny never crossing your mind. You went to your classes, and after that you headed to your part time job at a Taco Truck. It was perfectly located on a very popular beach, and everyday the truck made a killing and you made minimum wage, which is partially why you had shown up at the club last night. You knew it was a club for sugar daddy's to meet potential sugar babies, and you had thought that maybe you'd meet someone to help you out while you got your masters in Child Psychology. But part of you was happy that things ended up the way that they did, you now wouldn't have to suffer any disappointment of him deciding you weren't worth it, and you didn't have to waste his time realizing he should have picked someone else, in the long run it worked out for both parties.
With a smile you handed the last person their order, not even looking at the person next in line. You held your pencil and the small notepad you kept in front of you as you let out a big yawn. "Excuse me." You said, clearing your throat. "Welcome to Tacos, Tacos, Tacos, what can I get for you today?" You ask.
"Umm, three of your beef Tacos, and a chicken  Taco please." You hear. Your eyes squint as you try to place where you've heard that voice before. You write down the order, continuing to rack your brain on why it sounds so familiar. You look up and are face to face with Park Chanyeol. He smiles at you, recognizing you immediately.
"Ayn!" He yells, holding his arms up. "You work here?" He asks.
"Unfortunately." You laugh, scrunching your nose.
"How much do I owe you?" He asks, grabbing his wallet.
"$13.5." You announce. Chanyeol hands you a twenty, telling you to keep the change with a wink, which puts a smile on your face. "It'll be out soon."
As Chanyeol steps away from the truck, he whips out his phone, dialing a number. You can only hear bits and pieces of the conversation, but you do catch the most important part. "She's here." He says. "That taco truck that we're both obsessed with." He laughs. "Yeah that one." You wave to him, hanging his bag out the window to let him know his order was ready. He hangs up his phone, grabbing his food and waving goodbye to you.
An hour later, you're told you can go home for the day, and honestly you're relieved as fuck. You're tired, your feet hurt and you just want to go to sleep before you head back to campus tomorrow for another full day of classes and then another seven hours at the food truck.
Wow your life was so exciting.
**
The next day you're walking through the psychology building, heading to your next class. You're on your phone texting Hwasa about how dumb your last professor was, when you hear someone clear their throat behind you.
"You're a tough woman to track down."
Your head shoots up as you swing your body around. You see Johnny standing there, a smile on his face. Your eyes trail down his body, his suit fitting perfectly to his body, making you want to cry, drool and cream all at the same time.
"Why are you looking for me?" You ask, tilting your head to the side, making him laugh.
"You left so quickly the other night. We never got a chance to talk, have a drink or anything." He says, walking closer towards you.
"What do you want to talk to me about?" You ask.
"I want you to be my baby." He grins.
"Your baby?" You stutter. "Why me?" You ask.
"Why not you?" He rebuttals.
"Let's talk. Tonight." He says.
"I work." You tell him.
"Food truck?" He asks.
You nod your head.
"What time are you off? I'll pick you up."
"9pm." You say. "But you don't.. " you trial off.
"Perfect. See you then.. " he pauses with a grin. "Baby."

December 1994
Luke groaned as he woke up, squinting hard to try and adjust his eyes to the amount of light in the room.
Even before he could see clearly, he knew he must've fallen asleep in the studio judging by the soreness in his back and neck that he always got when he slept on the old couch. It couldn't have been more than six in the morning, and Luke could still feel the tiredness in his bones. So he tried to turn away from the light and hopefully fall back asleep, but there was something keeping him firmly in place.
His heart skipped when he looked down and saw that you were laying right next to him with your head on his chest and an arm thrown across his stomach. When he realized that his own arms were wrapped around you, his heart broke out into a full-on tap dance.
Waves of confusion ran through his still-foggy brain until he saw his guitar case propped up against the piano and his backpack on the floor with his clothes spilling out of it.
Then the events of last night quickly came back to him.
How he had gotten home late from rehearsal and his mom was waiting in the kitchen with his latest report card and her signature lecture at the ready. One minute he was standing there yelling, packing all he could fit into his bag, and the next, he was halfway to the studio with the rain soaking him head to toe.
He had expected it to be empty when he finally got there, but he was flooded with relief when he saw you. All the frustration slowly melted out of him the longer he laid there with you, leaving him feeling exhausted and shivering despite how warm he felt.
The last thing he wanted to do was talk about any of it, but when you asked, the words came out of his mouth before he could stop them.
He remembered rambling and crying again, the sound of your voice and the feeling of your fingers in his hair warming him up even more. Then finally, he remembered falling asleep with his chin tucked on top of your head, the smell of your shampoo filling his senses.
Without thinking, Luke reached down and carefully pushed a piece of hair away from your face, tucking it behind your ear and smiling to himself when you shifted into his touch. Then taking in a sharp breath as the realization ran through him all the way down to his toes.
You were his best friend.
The person he wanted to see at the end of a long day. Whenever he was full of anger or lost in confusion, all he had to do was look at you and everything suddenly made sense again. With your pretty smile and laugh, and your way of flipping that little switch inside him that made his head all fuzzy and the ground start spinning under his feet.
You were his best friend, and he was in love with you.

2020
All you felt was a mixture of anxiety and nausea as you stood on the Orpheum's street corner, biting the tips of your fingernails.
The entire plan hinged on Willie and Teddy getting everything done in time, and considering that they had betrayed you all before, you couldn’t help but expect the worst.
“Look, don’t worry. Willie said he’ll get us on that marquee.” Alex said nervously as he kicked pebbles across the sidewalk.
“This is going to work, right?” Reggie asked.
“It has to.” Luke mumbled, wincing seconds later when another shock hit them.
Two sharp pops cut through the air behind you and you all whipped around to see Willie and Teddy standing just a few feet away. Willie was watching you all carefully with concern written all over his face, his eyes lingering on Alex longer than anyone else. Teddy stood at the edge of the group, practically burning a hole in your face with his guilty stare.
“Are you guys okay?” Willie asked.
“Yeah, nothing we haven’t felt before.” Alex laughed awkwardly. “How’d it go?”
“Well, when the opening band wakes up, they’ll find their bus two hundred miles out of Vegas.” Willie said with a proud smile as he did a spin, showing off his stolen jacket with the band’s name across the back.
“With absolutely no chance of getting back in time.” Teddy added.
Luke gave Willie a fistbump and pointed up to the office above the Orpheum. “That means there’s probably a promoter up there freaking out right now.”
Willie grinned, sarcasm laced in his tone. “Nah, man. This is Hollywood. I’m sure he’s being very professional.”
You laughed and then Alex slowly inched forward, clearly struggling for the right words to say to Willie. You gave his arm a quick squeeze before following Reggie and Luke down the street to give them space. Before you even got halfway down the sidewalk, Teddy poofed next to you.
“You know, If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you don’t want to talk to me.” He joked.
“Teddy-”
"I just-I didn't want to leave things the way we did." He rambled. "I'm sorry, I should've told you everything that night in the diner-"
"Teddy, It's okay." You said. "You told me before Caleb could put the stamp on me, and you didn't know the details about the plan until after it was too late to help my friends. Plus, I know how much you're risking helping us now."
As soon as the words left your mouth, you felt some of the weight fall off your shoulders. You weren't sure why since the situation was still a little painful and awkward. But being around Teddy always made you feel a little like that kid who started working at the diner with Cece all those years ago. Besides, they were so alike that you found it hard to stay mad at him.
You held out your hand for Teddy to shake. "Despite everything, I'm glad we met."
“Likewise, Gorgeous,” Teddy said with a relieved smile as he grasped your hand. With a subtle wink, he nodded over towards where Luke was standing at the end of the street. “He’s a lucky guy.”
"What? How did you?-" You sputtered as he stepped away. You never told Teddy about Luke, or at least you didn't think you did.
Teddy just smirked in response before disappearing into the air. At the same time, you saw Willie skate away out of the corner of your eye, leaving Alex alone on the sidewalk.
You all phased next to him and Luke squeezed his shoulder reassuringly. "You okay, man?"
"Yeah. I'm good." Alex smiled slyly as he gestured to the office. "Looks like this show needs a new opening act though."
You grinned. "Let's go see if we can help with that."
-
When you got back to the studio, you found Julie pacing back and forth in the middle of the room as she wrung her hands together.
When you all poofed in, she immediately jumped into a load of questions, losing her breath halfway through and flailing her arms around.
"Whoa, just sit down," You laughed excitedly. "We'll tell you everything."
Julie took a gasping breath and plopped backwards onto the couch then stared at you all with expectant eyes. "Well?"
"It worked!" You announced. "Everything's fine."
"You should be getting the call...now!" Alex pointed to Julie’s phone on the table just as it started buzzing. You all cheered and Julie shushed you as she answered the call.
You heard a woman's voice say something through the phone and Julie gave a thumbs-up as she started jumping on the couch. You watched in amusement and mild horror as Luke and Reggie lifted Alex up into the air and spun him around.
Once he was back on the ground, Luke and Reggie made a beeline for you, each of them grabbed one of your arms and flipped you upside down over their shoulders.
You all spent the next twenty minutes laughing and screaming and Alex even got a little teary-eyed but you pretended not to notice. Then Julie called Flynn and ran off excitedly to decide her outfit for the night, leaving the four of you alone to plan out the setlist.
“Okay, so I’m thinking we start with Stand Tall.” Luke said excitedly as he wrote the words down in his songbook.
“Sounds good.” Reggie said, suddenly quiet.
“’Sounds good’? Guys, I wanna hear ‘That sounds awesome!” Luke reached out and nudged Reggie’s shoulder. “I know this isn’t the way we imagined any of this. But we need to be all in tonight. This is our second chance to play the Orpheum!”
“I get it.” Reggie sputtered. “But it’s hard. Do we even know what’s on the other side when we cross over? Do we still get to hang out together?”
You shifted your weight as the happy little bubble surrounding you popped. You had been so wrapped up in the excitement of finally playing the Orpheum that you almost forgot what tonight was really about.
“You guys are the only family I have.” Reggie’s eyes were glued to the piano as he played with his fingers. You reached out and locked his arm with yours in an attempt to comfort him.
“I don’t know what’s gonna happen either. But it’s not like we have a choice.” Alex said.
Suddenly, Reggie’s arm fell out of yours as all three boys fell back, clutching their sides.
“I’m pretty sure we do.” Reggie groaned. “And it rhymes with ‘Hollywood Ghost Club’.”
The garage doors creaked open and Julie appeared with a bright smile and a blue garment bag in her hand. When she saw your expressions, her smile fell. “What’s wrong?”
“We just got hit pretty hard by one of those jolts.” Alex said. “But we’re fine.”
“Oh, good.” She nodded, though she still looked on edge. “I’m nervous.”
“That makes two of us.” You said. “But we made it this far for a reason. We got this.”
“Can you ride there with me? I'm gonna need more pep-talk material for the drive there cause I still think I might puke.” Julie tucked her hair behind her ears.
“Of course, and don't worry, we’ll leave the windows open.” You joked, making everyone laugh.
The sound of a car horn cut through the air and Julie looked outside. "That's my dad. Are you ready, (Y/n)?"
You nodded. "Yeah, uh, give me a second. I'll meet you in the car."
As Julie disappeared behind the doors, you turned to the boys and sighed as you tried to soak up this moment. For all you knew, this could be the last little window of time you had alone with them before tonight.
Julie was a huge part of the band of course, but these were your boys. The ones who you started this all with, who had been by your side for everything.
From the look on all their faces, you could see that they were thinking the same thing.
Without saying a word, you launched yourself at Alex. He made a surprised noise but recovered quickly, throwing his arms around you and holding you tight.
"And I'm the emotional one?" He jokingly muttered in your ear and you pinched his side, making him jump back. "Rude."
As soon as your arms were open, Reggie stepped forward and hugged you so tightly that you were thankful to not need oxygen anymore because he was definitely crushing several vital organs.
You laughed and gave him one last squeeze before pulling away, locking eyes with Luke instantly.
Alex cleared his throat awkwardly and grabbed Reggie's shoulder, steering him over to Luke's songbook to 'check out the setlist again'.
"And then there were two." Luke joked.
You laughed and stepped into his waiting arms, making him laugh. You soaked up the feeling of comfort and familiarity for a minute before pulling away.
"This, uh, is for you," Luke said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper. You knitted your eyebrows together in confusion as he handed it over. "I wanted you to have it in case...well, you know. If tonight doesn't work."
"It will." You said, trying to ignore the fact that it very well could happen. "You're not getting rid of me that easily, Patterson."
"I wouldn't dream of it." He quipped back, his voice sounding softer and less teasing than you would've expected. You pulled back from him and because you didn't know if you would ever get another chance, you stood on your tiptoes and planted a kiss on his cheek.
You moved away too fast to see his reaction but the gesture made the other two boys smirk at you as you dashed out of the doors, making a beeline for the car pulling out of the driveway.
-
The back rooms of the Orpheum were a maze.
You had left for a few minutes to walk around the venue and clear your head, trying to wring out the last of your nerves.
By the time you found your way back, you expected to find the rest of the band rushing to get ready in the dressing room. But all you saw was Julie anxiously pacing as she had been earlier, a habit she seemed to have inherited from both you and Alex.
“You okay?”
She snapped her head up towards you and sighed. “Yeah, just a little worried. The guys aren’t here yet.”
You looked around the room and then at the clock, frowning. The show was in less than half an hour and that was already cutting it close. Part of you wanted to go check on them but Julie seemed to need you more at the moment.
“Okay, well, give them another ten minutes. I'm sure they'll be here. They wouldn’t miss this…again.”
You ran your palm across the front of your pocket, feeling Luke's note next to your parent’s photo, and hoped you were right.
But then more and more time passed until the stage manager came to escort Julie to the stage.
"Just a second!" She calls out and then turns to you. "(Y/n), something's wrong. They were getting those jolts pretty hard before we left. They must've run out of time."
You shut your eyes tight as the words sunk in. All you could bring yourself now was, ‘This isn't what was supposed to happen.’
The world fell out from under your feet and you had trouble even standing up straight as you imagined what must've happened to them. Your best friends, your brothers, your family was gone and there wasn't anything you could do about it.
The guy knocked again, this time a little harder and with a nervous tone. Julie chewed her lip as she looked between you and the door and you could almost see the cloud of grief settling over her.
As hard as it was, you tried your best to shove your feelings down and marched up to Julie. There would be time to fall apart later, but you knew that this what they would want you to do. "Let's go do this for them, okay?"
She took a deep, shaky breath before hesitantly nodding. You followed closely behind her as she walked out the door though the halls until she reached the stage. You waited beside Flynn in the wing as Julie settled behind her microphone and addressed the crowd.
There were scattered claps from around the venue and then she took a deep breath before singing the opening.
After the first few lines, you took your cue and materialized at the center of the stage. The crowd gasped and cheered the way they always did, but you kept your eyes shut tight and focused on the music.
Just as the song started picking up, you heard a familiar pop in the air and then the sound of drumming. You whirled around to see Alex mounted onto a drum set at the back of the stage, twirling his drumsticks around and smiling like he had never been gone at all.
Once you got over the initial shock, you wanted to cry with relief. They were okay, they were here. Alex winked at you goofily, and you ran towards Julie’s keyboard.
She had started bouncing on the balls of her feet, both of you finally getting into the song now that they were coming back. You followed suit, dancing around the base of the drum set as yours and Julie’s voices came together.
Then Reggie appeared on the other side of Julie and you ran to his side. You bumped his shoulder with yours and he grinned, moving to stand back to back.
The song was ramping up to the chorus when a staticky noise cut through the air, not loud enough for the crowd to hear but enough to make you all look over to the other end of the stage.
You could see Luke's form fading in and out, a look of anguish on his face, and the pit in your stomach opened up again. The crowd was on the edge of their seats as Alex's drumming paused and Luke finally materialized to sing the opening of the chorus.
You didn't even know you were moving until you suddenly found yourself across the stage next to Luke, unable to stop smiling as you sang.
Julie joined you, throwing her arms up in the air happily and jumping around. Reggie appeared by her side, flashing the crowd a winning smile.
Alex stood up and gripped his mic as he sang this solo. You looked back at him and flashed him a proud smile, then whooping loudly when Reggie sang his lines.
You all went down the line hitting your notes until the chorus kicked in again and your heart felt so full you almost couldn't stand it. This was what you were so close to achieving before you died, it was all you had wanted for years, and you knew that if you hadn't died, that night would've changed your life. But this night was something even more special. Because you were all here, all together.
Even if it was just for one last song.
Julie caught your attention and nodded towards the platform that spread out into the crowd. You followed her to the center and stood back to back as everyone cheered.
The guys joined in on either side of you, Alex grabbing one of your hands and Luke holding the other. You all bowed to the audience before taking your cue and vanishing, leaving only Julie on stage.
You landed in the wing, feeling a little lightheaded and overwhelmed from all the emotions you had experienced in the last five minutes. The elated smile fading from your face when all three boys poofed by your side only to fall to the floor instantly.
“It didn’t work.” You said miserably as Julie emerged into the backstage area. She grabbed Flynn and whispered something to her, pointing in the direction of her family. Flynn nodded and disappeared into the crowd while Julie ran to your side.
You hauled Alex onto his feet, letting him lean on you to stay upright while Luke and Reggie trailed behind Julie as she led the group back to the dressing room. Once everyone was inside, they collapsed on the couch or the floor, loudly groaning in pain.
“What happened? Why didn’t it work?” Julie asked tearfully.
“I guess playing here wasn’t our unfinished business.” Alex said hollowly.
“Point Caleb.” Reggie muttered as he clung to the side of an armchair.
You stood frozen next to Julie as panic spread through your whole body, both of you flinching in sympathy as the shocks continued.
“You have to save yourselves right now.” Julie begged. “Join Caleb’s club. It’s better than not existing at all!”
“She’s right.” You managed to say, your voice shaky and almost giving out. Your stomach flipped at the thought of them having to work for an evil club owner forever, but the alternative was worse. “You guys need to go now! For me. For us.”
“We’re not going back there.” Reggie shook his head.
Luke pulled himself up and stumbled forward a little so that he was right in front of you. “No music is worth making if we’re not all making it together.”
You sighed sadly, thinking back to your conversation yesterday. “So no more regrets?”
Luke let out a deep sigh and then reached up and cupped your cheek with his right hand. “Just one.”
You furrowed your eyebrows in response and Luke blinked hard as if he was trying to find the words. "I never told you why I left that night."
"Luke, don't." You gave him a weak smile. "I get it."
"You do?" He asked.
You struggled to get the words out. "Yeah, I mean it was bound to happen eventually. We just got too close and it was weird for you. I understand t-”
"What?" Luke asked, cutting you off with a confused look. "No, no, that's not it at all. Read the-"
Before he could finish, you heard Julie gasp loudly from a few feet away. You looked over to see her stepping back from Alex with an awestruck look on her face as she gripped his forearms.
Wait, what?
Before you could even begin to process what you were seeing, Reggie was reaching out to Julie, who grabbed his wrist and hauled him up to his feet. The three of them stared at each other for a few seconds before Julie turned to you and Luke.
“Guys, come here.”
Alex reached out and pulled you into his side while Luke threw an arm around Reggie’s back and Julie brought you all in closer to her. At first, nothing happened. But then there was a faint buzzing sound and the boys lifted their wrist towards the ceiling and you all watched in awe as the stamp floated away in the blink of an eye.
“Whoa.” Reggie said, his eyes still glued to the ceiling. “I don’t feel as weak anymore.”
“Yeah, me neither.” Alex agreed. “Not that I ever was that weak in the first place.”
You rolled your eyes and let your head fall over on his shoulder. “What do you think that means?”
Luke smiled. “I think it means the band is back.”
It was quiet for a second before Alex looked at you all shyly. “You guys think we can try that hug thing again?”
You laughed as you huddled together again, sniffling and laughing. Then Julie yelled out that you had played the Orpheum and then you were all jumping around, still tangled in each other’s arms.
Eventually, you all broke apart and while the boys started chasing each other around, you turned to Julie. She looked into your eyes and immediately flew into your arms, muttering into your shoulder, “I always wanted a big sister.”
The words warmed your heart and you squeezed her extra hard, grateful that you actually could now. “Well, I’m honored.”
“My family's probably looking for me so..." Julie stepped back from your arms with the biggest smile you’d ever seen on her face, you jokingly bowed to her and she copied the gesture before disappearing behind the door.
You wiped the last of your tears out of your eyes and turned around to find Alex and Reggie were talking in whispers and wearing knowing smiles. When Alex saw you looking, he cleared his throat and nudged Reggie’s shoulder.
“Hey, Reg.” Alex said cheekily, not taking his eyes off of you for even a second. “I was going to check out the next band. You wanna come with me?”
“Sure!” Reggie started strolling towards the door, stopping only for a second to nudge your shoulder and whisper ‘don't do anything I wouldn’t do’ in your ear.
Alex fixed Luke with a pointed look over his shoulder and Reggie gave him a dorky wink before they poofed away. You smiled fondly at the space where they were just standing and awkwardly turned towards Luke.
“Hi.” You said, laughing awkwardly.
“Hi.” Luke muttered back as he stepped forward until he was close enough to grab your hand. “About what I was saying earlier…”
You opened your mouth to say something but he shook his head and pointed to your pocket. “Read it. Please.”
You tugged the note he had given you earlier out of your pocket and carefully folded it open to see that it wasn’t a note at all. It was the love song that Julie had found that day in the garage, the one that he didn’t want anyone to see. You struggled a little trying to decipher Luke's handwriting. The ink was a little smudged and the song was clearly unfinished but it was the most beautiful thing you had ever read. And he had written it for you.
"I didn't leave because we got too close," He said. "It was the opposite, (Y/n), I left because I was scared to lose you, and I know that doesn't make sense because I kind of did w-"
You carefully tucked the paper back in your pocket with one hand and grabbed the back of his neck with the other, pulling him down and closing the last bit of space between you.
Luke's brain short-circuited for a second before he started kissing back, grabbing your waist with enough force to nearly knock you both backwards. It was dizzying and a little desperate, yet weirdly familiar, as if you'd been kissing him your whole life.
Most moments with Luke felt like they were happening in slow motion, but this time it was like a high-speed movie montage of your whole lives. The stolen crayons, the time capsule, the pre performance pep talks, the smell of cinnamon, the ferris wheel, his jacket, the movie nights and songwriting sessions. All of it had led up to this moment.
"I love you." Luke said immediately after you pulled away. "God, I love you so much. I'm such an idiot. I'm sorry."
“Hey, it’s okay.” You laughed, blinking another wave of tears out of your eyes. “I should’ve told you forever ago instead of skirting around it.”
“And what is it that you should’ve told me?” He said teasingly and you rolled your eyes. You had gotten so used to Luke being so shut down or nervous around you that you almost forgot how much of a little shit he could be.
“That I love you too.” You said, unable to stop smiling.
Luke leaned down and captured your lips in another kiss, this time threading his fingers through your hair as he cupped your cheeks in his hands. “I’m never gonna get tired of hearing that.”
You bit your lip to keep another laugh from bubbling up as you looked up at him, feeling completely overwhelmed in the best way possible. "So...what now?"
"I don't know." Luke admitted. "But I know one thing."
"What's that?"
"That no matter where we go, or what we do," He pushed a piece of hair behind your ear. "In life, in death... I'm yours. Always."
