"will you marry me?"

-he would call you to come to the most beautiful and most expensive restaurant in all of Fontaine.

-it's not the first time you've been there with him but he's been acting VERY weirdly throughout the night

-he seemed very nervous, as if there was something he wanted to tell you but just couldn't

-"lyney, is there something you'd want to tell me? you seem... nervous?" you asked, hoping he would be honest

-"huh? n-no! of course not! what would i be hiding from you, mon trésor?"

-"alright, if you say so..." you were still suspicious of him but decided to keep quiet, and to not rush him at anything

-after finally finishing the fancy dinner,

-you two walked together, hand in hand, towards the beach.

-it was nighttime, around 11pm, and the only light there was, was the moonlight.

-if was shining on lyney's face... he looked like an angel...

-not like the "fatui lyney" , not like the "greatest magician in all of Teyvat" , not even like "just lyney"...

-instead, like an angel...

-"come, let's watch the moonlight's reflection on the water!" he called you, as he stood closer to the waves

-"alright!" you stood next to him, watching the reflection... it was truly mesmerizing

-but not more mesmerizing than lyney's eyes which were switching between the moon and you, visibly being nervous.

-"i-uh... mon cœur, i have a... uh... q-question..." he stuttered as he finally said the words. he couldn't believe this was happening.

-but it was time he had to do it.

-"ask away, lyn." you turned to him, but he was just looking at the sand beneath them, while his heart was beating out of his chest

-"i... um... i-uhm... c-can you c-close your eyes?..." he thought that, maybe, just maybe, it would be easier if you weren't looking at him with your curious eyes

-"hmm... okay?..." you closed your eyes and stood there, waiting for him to continue

-"okay... s-stay like that until i tell y-you to open them again..." you could just hear the worry in his voice.

-this was a big thing for him, yet you were for patient with him...

-he admired you for that.

-then, he slowly got down on one knee, pulling out a little red box with a shiny ruby ring inside.

-but he didn't tell you to open your eyes just yet.

-no, he was scared.

-what if you weren't ready?

-what if you said no?

-so many scenarios ran through his head...

-but he didn't get through so much with you for nothing.

-the only thing in his mind were the words "now or never." which were the last ones that lynette said to him before he left for the date.

-slowly, he calmed his breath, but still had a racing heartbeat.

-even his eyes were a little watery, but he hoped you wouldn't see that.

-"o-open your eyes...!" he finally stuttered out.

-it was only a small relief.

-but now you were on the verge of tears, not him.

-"will you marry me, mon amour? t-to be my future h-husband?..." he asked, such a tone in his voice... you've never heard it before.

-you blinked a few times, to believe that it was even real.

-"yes, lyney!" you smiled warmly at him, a crying a bit.

-he quickly helped you put the ring on and then hugged you tight, starting to cry himself...

-he was so happy... all of this seemed like a dream to him...

-"i love you so much, mon amour..." now he was definitely crying... he didn't care. he was happy.

-"i love you just as much, my dear lyney..." you two hugged each other tight, with a few kisses here and there.

-the two of you stayed like that for a little longer, feeling as good as ever...

-the whole entire aura around you would make anyone feel better... but lyney didn't want anyone witnessing him crying, no matter the situation...

-but thankfully, the only one who saw you two, was the hole of light in the sky, shining down on the two of you...
