tl;dr: $25 per character, payment through paypal invoice, communication through emails (preferred) or tumblr DMs. full TOS under cut.

listed price is per character; happy to take multiple characters per commission, or multiple commissions per person
estimated delivery time is two weeks, but I'll let you know if there's a delay

WIP WHATEVER
i forgot to do a wip thing yesterday but i wanna see what y'all are working on, so here's just a general "show off some of your wips" tag(ish) game! if you see this in the fandom tag or because you follow me, consider yourself tagged <3
anyway here are things i'm primarily focusing on right now despite The Sleepy
I've Heard About People Like Me (TBITB)
The rumors begin almost immediately. Joe, with his customary anxiety, wonders aloud if he's ill. Johnny thinks injury is more likely.
"Family emergency, maybe? His folks live in town; he could be with them," Bobby says, muffled as he pulls his undershirt over his head. He emerges ruffled and frowning, rotating his shoulders with a wince.
Shorty carefully looks away from the flex of tendons in Bobby's slim neck. He doesn't believe any of these proposed theories - to him, they all sound like something Ulbrickson would have addressed immediately. Whatever's going on, it's worse than the average personal tragedy: it's the kind of tragedy you don't talk about.
Love You Like That (TBITB)
He barely thinks anymore about how unconventional it is to have Bobby sprawled next to him on the bed as he reads portions of the letter aloud, offering helpful and acerbic commentary in turn. But of course they’re on the bed - in was a special occasion that Bobby has never indicated a desire to repeat. Don would if he did, no questions asked.
Unconventional or not, Bobby is adorable like this, kicking his feet in the air and letter held at arms' length above his head. It's a distance from which Don certainly couldn't make out words, but Bobby has always had sharp eyes. Don only hopes they're too focused on the letter to notice how often Don has to tear his own gaze away to focus on his updated draft.
He's so consumed with not looking too obviously and making Bobby uncomfortable that he doesn't realize Bobby has reached the end of the letter - and, more importantly, that Bobby has stopped talking.
Then, after several minutes of silence, Bobby says, hesitant and hushed, "I'm your best friend?"
Tell Me (ATPM)
“It wouldn’t kill you to stare a little less,” Carl murmurs, as Sy Hersh slips into the men’s locker room and out of sight, white tennis shorts stretching across heavy thighs for just a moment before they’re gone.
“What?” Bob says, distracted.
Carl rolls his eyes, once, before looking Bob up and down illustratively and not a little lecherously. “He’s not the kind of guy to keep quiet if you hit on him too obviously. You’re lucky I didn’t rat you out.”
“Because you’re so free of sin,” Bob scoffs, to cover the discomfort of having been caught looking. He and Carl are by no means exclusive - far from it; privately Bob thinks the only reason they’re fucking each other at all is that neither of them have time to meet anyone else. But he still feels guilty.
Carl cocks his arm as if he’s about to throw his fluffy white towel in Bob’s face, only to change course and playfully scrub it over Bob’s sweaty hair, succeeding only in disordering it even further. “He who speaks first is a witness,” he says philosophically, echoing Rosenfeld’s wry mantra ever since John Dean scooped Magruder in the race to join the Watergate prosecution.
“He who speaks second is a defendant,” Bob agrees.
What Extraordinary Vehicles (ATPM)
“Why me? Why not Anderson, or Sheehan, or - hell, everyone knows you're leaking to TIME. You've clearly got a direct line to Sandy Smith. So why me?”
Bernstein's eyes are squinted, his voice sharp and uncompromising. He's suspicious - both in this moment and, Bob suspects, by nature. Good. Bob made the right choice after all.
He shrugs. “You’re putting in the work.”
“Yeah, I am," Bernstein says matter-of-factly. Some of that suspicion melts away, to be replaced with a reluctant smile. "Glad someone around here appreciates me.”
Damn it. Yes, Bob made the right choice. He can work with Bernstein. But he can't let himself grow to like him.
“Make something out of what I give you, and we’ll see if that’s deserved," he says. He doesn't watch Bernstein's smile fade.

ok. i took a long, long time (song ref) but hi!!!!!!!!!
1. titanic fic (*cue shit-eating grin*). umum. im curious if there's anything about the morse code yet. or codes in gen actually. so. sentences with the word "code" :3
2. titanic vid!!!! Idk if you like the engineering aspects, but there still were a ton of other facts sprinkled in (spiral staircases, people that monitored coal balance, separate staff room for firemen, how they got air down there etc) https://youtube.com/watch?v=4begc_U8ygI#searching
3. surprise!! this is an interview. i have some Official Author questions for you (feel free to pick and choose, come back to this later, or just striaght up ignore lol):
3a. Do you have any authors (professional or not) that you aspire to be like one day?
3b. Following that up, are there any specific works (again, published, professional, etc or just amazing amateur works!!) that really inspire you?
3c. What made you start writing? I'm curious on anything that led to the conscious decision, of course, but additionally do you think there was anything you grew up with that "planted the seeds"? Was it any of the people from question 3a?
3d. What's the silliest (/pos) idea you've ever had for a fic? If you didn't write/publish it, why not? Was it a recent thing? If not, do you think your experience would have influenced that idea today?
if those dont make sense u can send me a messgae or something 👍👍👍 goodnight
ITS BEEN THREE DAYS but im here okay……. lets do this. hi pep :>
1) alas, i’ve been focusing on a lot of other things so i havent reached a written point of the Code Usage, which begins in like chapter 3-4. sorry man 💔 (progress has been made ! just not as much as i’d hope 😭)
2) FUN FACTS?!??!??!??!!?!!? IM WATCHING A DOCUMENTARY RN BUT IM YOINKING THIS RIGHT AFTER YIPPIE!!!!!!!!
3a) uhmmmmmmmm i dont exactly pay attention to authors as much as i pay attention to books but you know what. rick riordan. not because of anything he’s done or written but because of his audacity to write 20+ books in the same universe and still get 100000000000000 people 1000000% invested in it. i wanna write sequels forever. can i be him
3b) OHHHHHHHH UHM UHM UHM UHM the thing that got me into fanfic specifically was the fic “versability” (it was a gf fic about ‘what if ford never made the portal’, written like 2015-16, and yeah i did know of and even read a bit of fic beforehand but i was never into it) but just READING ? the land of stories by chris colfer, easy. mmmmmmmmm that was my fucking Thing. if i wasnt a baby at that time i would have WROTE. SO. MUCH. GOOD GOD. IT WAS MY THING. THE THING THAT GOT ME INTO NOVELS. URGH. alex my iconic mentally ill bisexual, conner my precious cynical boy. i need to read those again my GOD now i think about it that was fairytale fanfiction that happejed to bepublished and ohhhhh it was beautiful. im gonna read jt . iM GONNA DO IT!!!!
3c) in writing in general or just fanfic? for fanfic its that one day i had an gf fic idea (that i had to heavily revise/rewrite, but it did end up getting out eventually) that i hadnt read anything like it, and i wanted to see it. decided: hey, im shit at writing, but might as well!!!!!! 65k words later, its not a joke anymore. im a Writer now :) but as for in general, well ofc reading books. people told me in the past im creative and should get into book writing if you like reading so much. i decided well im gonna do it professionally, but might as well do something tiny, so i well uh wrote. im not gonna tell you but it certainly was Something. classic isekai mary sue dramatic plot hybrids etc etc etc but actually the queen the mc is “related” to is actually polyam and was in a relationship with both their dad and their mom and the big villain is the queen’s sister who’s pissed that both of her lovers ditched her for the human world (but actually they had to break up because because the society was not polyam friendly. there just happened to be a war after that). everything else was basic isekai except for that little crumble of lore. the queen was a bisexual. the dad was a pansexual. the mom was a lesbian. i think i ate there to be honest
3d) mmmmmm i gotta think. there was definitely a gf x amphibia au where ford got ploped in amphibia and the plantars IMMEDIATELY stole him and wrapped him up in their adventures right when the plot starting becoming a thing (early season 2). there’s one where stan and ford just….. climb a tree. it’s laced with a lot of philosophical talks straight from good omens knowledge but ultimately its just goody fun. mmmmm theres one where gabriel has no idea what crowley looks like, but he DOES know what Bildad The Shuite looks like, itd be tiny but so so so so funny. the gf/gomens crossover…..a human au based on that one tumblr post about a necromancer bringing people back from the dead to fuck with the killer and opening a discord support group….. the s1 humans + aziraphale being the victims, crowley the necromancer, and the s2 humans being the nosy outsiders who Notice things happens but can never say shit. oughhhh……… Yeah. yeah, thats good. most of these are recent except 4 the amphibia one, wouldnt change much about it even with the shit i know now EXCEPT being able to handle the relationships/emotions between the characters better, ive certainly gotten better at it and i love it. i havent published any bc either i started but couldnt finished, or just thought it was neat and moved on to plop it in the ideas folder and wait 4 inspiration.
OKAY THATS A LOT BUT THERE YOU GO sorry for the wait, man. you’re my best cupperty you know that right 🫵 ANSWERS!!!!! and ill work on titanic as fast as i can, it hasnt been forgotten !! i just gotta mow the grass….. (“short” fic wips)

Hey there! First off I want to say I *adore* your art, you absolutely 1000% perfectly tap into the vibe and style of late 90's/early 00's 3D models in a way literally no one else does. I think about your art of your fake games' glitches (especially the forum post!!! it's. *perfect.*) all the time :)
And I've noticed how you're always very insightful and kind whenever you answer asks, so thank you for that!
If it's not too intrusive to ask, I was wondering how you went about finding a doctor to get your autism diagnosis? I've been pretty sure for a few years now that I'm on the spectrum, but I've never had a clue how to actually get tested/diagnosed. Especially since I'm an adult female too, and I've heard a ton about how autism is really overlooked/underdiagnosed for people like us.
But seeing that you were able to find someone who avoided all the common pitfalls and was able to actually help you made me want to reach out. I had been wanting to ask you this for a while (as you can probably tell based on what the question was haha) but I was too anxious to actually do it (still am, a bit ><). Again, feel free to ignore this part if it's too personal or you don't want to answer it for any reason!
It feels awkward to end an ask with that, so I'll bookend it with something I think you'll like: have you ever heard of trsrockin.com? It's an old fansite I used to visit religiously as a kid that talked about early Pokemon and Super Mario games and collectibles from them, as well as oddities like glitches from the aforementioned games, forgotten weird one-off SNES games, documenting fake/trick fanmade "cheats" for games, and bootleg merchandise.
It's one of if not the first public place (afaik) that MissingNo. and pals were discovered/talked about, and a little community came together to try and figure out why the glitch happened and what all the effects and variants of it were. Even you've been to trsrockin before and none of this is new info, I thought it would at least be a nice trip down memory lane :)
It's an old site that has since been taken down, and for some reason archive.org can't properly archive the full site/all its links. But luckily someone created a complete mirror of it! You can find it here: http://catfish.it.cx/trsrockin/trsrockin.com/index.html
AHH THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! ;__; you're too kind... i know i haven't posted too much of my 3d work recently, but trust me, i have a LOT more of those faux-retro aesthetics in store with the game i've been working on... >=) i'm always so so happy to see other people appreciate janky ol' 3d graphics, LMFAO
also!! i've definitely heard of trsrockin eheehee... i was a bit too young to use it when it was in its prime (and also more of a bulbapedia enthusiast), but i've perused some archived pages before! old internet forums & fansites are just the best thing in the world...
ANYWAY: regarding your question! Honestly, I'm not sure if I'm the best person to give advice about this, because I feel like I kind of got my diagnosis by chance... Essentially: I started seeing a new therapist; she suggested I might be on the spectrum, I said, "Yeah maybe IDK"; I got a referral to an evaluator—and then an incredibly expensive diagnosis after a few months of waiting and testing.
My case differs in that I didn't really suspect being on the spectrum myself. Which seems a bit silly, considering I now realize I am... observably autistic. In abundance. But it was genuinely hard to puzzle out, what with all my other problems (particularly, severe misophonia, which can be REALLY hard to differentiate from general sensory sensitivity.) So about specifically seeking out a diagnosis, I unfortunately can't give a good answer. But I'm willing to talk about the rest, on the off-chance it ends up helpful! (Under the cut at least.)
I don't like to be too open about my Issues™ online—but I got a whole lot of them, and they used to be a lot worse than they are now, so I was stuck in that perpetual "adolescent with treatment-resistant depression" purgatory for, like... my entire adolescence! Because no one knew what the hell was wrong with me. I'm barely in adulthood now, but I'm extremely thankful to be broken out of that. Both the 'treatment-resistant depression' diagnoses AND the adolescence. Being told with authority that I, indeed, have an untreated case of mega-autism—and not an irreparably broken brain whose electrical activities zap SSRIs straight out of existence—is definitely relieving. And now I can confidently say shit like 'mega-autism', so like, wins all around.
About getting a diagnosis in general: in my case, I kind of needed one, because it would be not be feasible for me to go to school/work/exist without accommodations of some kind. (The evaluation I had was, in part, just to get a psychological report of any kind, since I desperately needed supporting documentation to request accommodations anywhere.) Otherwise, I'm honestly not sure if I'd bother?
On one hand, an official diagnosis is an incredibly affirming thing to have—especially if you didn't even suspect it before; things start making a lot of sense afterwards, LOL—but on the other hand, it is a tedious and kind of humiliating process. And possibly expensive.
And then, like you mentioned, there's the problem of some doctors being biased or plainly godawful at their job/poorly designed systems ruining everything for everyone. It's probably for incompetency on those ends that a diagnosis managed to elude me for nineteen years straight. (Vividly recalling the time my school had a counselor give me an impromptu autism evaluation, in which she concluded that I "didn't seem to have autism, but would probably get along really well with autistic people." WHATEVER THAT MEANT.) But! It's not impossible to get someone who knows what they're doing! I'd love to say otherwise, but I really did just stumble into a decent doctor... There's a lot of luck involved, and man. I did not get good RNG at first. (← I'M SORRY FOR BEING A GAMER.)
I went into the evaluation doubting I had it, and heavily doubting that I'd be diagnosed, but like... Hold on let me reach across your desk and slide you the answers to the autism test. The trick is to not even try to be normal, I think. Intermittently talk about CRT monitors, and how you like learning ciphers, and Pokemon glitches—or whatever else you're into. But those specifically worked for me! "Don't mask", is what I'm saying. (Really though, I think if you're answering everything to the best of your ability, properly administered tests done by a doctor who doesn't suck should be able to diagnosis you. If they don't, then the problem is something systemic, and far beyond anything I could reasonably give advice about...)
ANYWAY! (x2) I'm honestly not sure if any of this is particularly helpful, but if you decide to pursue it, I wish you luck with getting your diagnosis!! It's definitely a bit of a hellish thing to do—but dammit, if it's worth it to you, then it's definitely worth doing.

Hi! I am currently enjoying reading everything, just overall the homey vibe this blog has. I was a bit curious to learn- from your POV Do you think Tulin would grow to resent Revali- for his attitude towards Link? or would have another approach towards it- where it would benefit them all? Sorry was curious and well, I don't got many friends currently as focused and captured by the Rito's motifs in BoTW/ToTK
hello, hello! thank you so much for your lovely words, it makes me super happy to know that my blog is appreciated to this extent!! i hope you'll continue to enjoy your stay while you're here ♡ and no need to apologise! seriously, i'm always up for receiving asks like this; please feel free to drop by my inbox whenever you'd like :) as with tulin brainrot, you've come to the right place for some rito brainrot adfjsgkl
i don't think tulin would be able to resent revali, as they both are in canon, if he even tried! he's been such a huge part of his life for as long as he can remember — it's hard to untangle all the positive feelings and thoughts rooted down to your core and built up over all those years about someone like that. and when the pressure of aspiring to be like someone so revered has never felt like actual spiral-inducing pressure ( fr i could go on and on about his confidence and all the people who've nurtured it to that point 😭 ) but more like encouragement or intense faith, it gets impossibly harder to do so!
also i'm assuming you're asking this in an aoc context ( but will touch on the Potential of this concept, give me a sec slfdjkf ) given that tulin would have like. no knowledge of revali's feelings towards link and the way those were externalised unless he was explicitly told about them otherwise and honestly? the situation would confuse him more than anything, just because he's so young, in that child who doesn't understand that people can like him without liking each other way asflkfkj "the coolest people i know don't like each other which is so weird 'cause i like them and i'm pretty sure they like me WHY DON'T THEY LIKE EACH OTHER???" cue shenanigans from a kid who just wants all his Older People to get along and will forcibly have them bond if need be
that being said, please know that i'm only jesting and not being genuinely reductive with the whole "[revali and link] don't like each other" statement! it's how a very young tulin would interpret their interactions, but we all know there's something much deeper to how revali treats link sdlkdjf ( WE KNOW THIS, YES?? )
in circumstances where tulin would actually be able to grow up witnessing or knowing about this in full ( like, say, an au where revali survives or something ), i do think it could potentially lead to him developing a greater understanding of who revali is, by way of him...well, yeah, once again, meddling and attempting to "patch things over" and just generally being an annoyance with how much he'd be pestering revali with questions like "but WHY?" ( with no intention of inducing any real introspection, though possibly doing so anyway because he's a kid who really likes accidentally asking the hard-hitting questions slfkdj ) though lbr, the antagonism between revali -> link would be of a much different flavour than any shown pre-calamity at that point...but that's a post for another time!
ultimately, i can see the hero worship mellowing out naturally as he gets older, especially as he grows into his own role as a sage. the closest to any sort of real negative feeling he'd reach about revali in the process might be grief ( the kind you'd feel when you outgrow someone who was older than you but no longer is ), or an inability to understand his uhh. recorded eccentricities sklfjdfl but master revali is someone very important to him, and someone who will remain very important to him! he's not going to let that opinion be soured if he can help it :)

GREY'S FUTURE PLANS FOR THE YOUTH
Tumblr media
We reached out to Grey upon a suggestion from some of the youth services that he has helped. We asked Grey if we could ask a few questions. We were very lucky to be invited to Grey's home for the interview and appreciate that he was very happy to answer our questions.
Since our last article, what other things have you done/implemented for the youth?
"We have improved community programs to help the youth and young adults to follow their passions. Free classes and creative rooms that we have upgraded since we last spoke. This Christmas break, those in college will be able to work part-time for my shop, Manor, in all three locations. Along with programs to help them learn to trade with auto cars and bikes. Along with intern programs for ULSA students who are interested in trade or design. We also have follow-ups to check on students who have signed up for the free program."
What are your future plans?
"The future is bright and beautiful, continuing the same motives that we have for South LS, especially in the small business sector. As well as helping those who have been in prison be able to work again. I haven't been happy with high fashion due to its lack of acknowledging models and child abuse that goes on in the industry, so I most likely will be taking a step away from OffTrick. It did what it was supposed to do, create a world that most didn't think I was able to do. But my focus and my heart are with ManorDem. This year, we have financially improved rapidly, especially with the city always coming to sell out one of the skate videos we drop. That shit brings me to tears, seeing where the brand started. Personally, I can't complain, I just love getting shit done and building."
"I have a home, just finished in Vice City, currently doing Christmas shopping for family, got my parents a new home in the hills, and getting ready for my birthday on the 24th of this month. You know me and cars, so that's a given."
We also had the offer to see Grey's garage which we accepted.
Do you have any upcoming projects? "Upcoming projects, yes! A new film coming from me and my skate team producer, Spike Bonze. The date is coming soon. The new ManorDem collection is out now, and in all 3 stores in Liberty City, Los Santos, and London." How do you feel knowing that you've helped the youth and young adults so much?
"It honestly gets me emotional. I was like them at a point thinking that my block was it until I pushed myself and realized that the world is bigger. Even with some gang members, you can see a change, not all of them of course, but a solid majority that is trying to seek a better life. I think that's why I'm safe in any hood I got to, because yeah I bring million dollar cars around, however, I'm also dropping jewels and letting them know how they can get it too. They know my heart, and where I'm coming from. They see, when I put on for myself it's really for them letting them know that they can do it too. We have hired tons of folks who don't own small businesses from that area, got them warehouse work, or just any legal work in general. Just noticing a different vibe now, the people are focused not only with my help, by helping themselves. Anything other than that is a distraction."

Love and Monsters
Steve Harrington x Reader!Henderson
Oneshot
Tumblr media
Y/N Henderson's life was not like any other normal teenager's life, on a very young age her only friends was her brother, Dustin and his friends.. She was not popular in highschool, but she was not a nobody neither.. Y/N was just invisible, lost in the sea of students.. She was almost through highschool though, one day her life was turned upside down, literally and figuratively.. It's been months since the 'thing' happend, but she was still shaken up.
Y/N was laying in bed, My Generation blasting from her stereo.. She was home alone, her mother was out with some friends, her brother was hanging out with 'King Steve'.. Ever since Steve helped them about Dart, she grew closer to Steve but their short lived friendship ended when Dustin left for camp and Steve worked on their family business while she was stuck preparing herself for college.. Y/N misses Steve, his unfunny jokes and oh god--his laugh..
A loud knock startled her, she shot up from her bed, memories of what happend was flashing back to her.. Despite what she tells her friend, she was not okay.. She almost died twice and that opened up trauma's and issues within herself..
Another loud knock startled her, Y/N shakes her head and just ran to the door.. Reaching their front door, her icy hands made contact with the cold steel knob..
It revealed a disheveled Dustin and Steve, she could tell that there were excitement dripping all over them.. Steve was still wearing his sailor work uniform, he looked cute to Y/N but she once threw that thought in the back of her mind..
"What's up?" She questioned the two.
Dustin just smiled and pushed pass her, while Steve was reluctant to go in.. Steve avoided Y/N for almost the whole summer because of the daunting realization that he was catching feelings for her and that scared him.. Y/N was the kind of girl that likes to watch nerdy movies, spend hours playing games with a bunch of kids and save the world two times.. However, Steve was scared, he was still stuck in the unjustified rules of highschool and popularity. . He still wanted to be 'King Steve', but he also wanted to be Y/N's..
"Nice outfit, sailor boy.." Y/N winked and laughs at Steve, he just shakes his head and went inside their house..
Steve made his way to Dustin's room with Y/N right behind him, but before reaching Dustin's room, he passed Y/N's room.. He unconsciously stopped as he looks around, observing every corner of her room.
There were posters plastered all over her walls, books were all around her room in her bed, shelves and even floors.. In the other side she had a small collection of music that made Steve smile.. Because they had the exact same taste, she is the perfect girl.
"If you want to go in, you're free to wander around my room, anytime.."
Steve turned around to face Y/N, he misses her.. How Y/N sarcastic remarks leave her sweet lips or how she rolls her eyes whenever she see something stupid.
"I might just take you up on that.."
"Hm-mm.. You didn't even talk to me when Dustin left, you broke my heart, Steviee.." She jokes, but it sounded a little bitter.
Y/N did get hurt, Steve stopped talking to her when Dustin left, it seems like Steve didn't really like her as much as she thinks he did. Y/N was bored and got stuck just studying and sometimes hanging out with the party.. It was fun but she was looking forward to hanging out with Steve.
"I'm sorry about that, I didn't want to see my old friends hanging out with someone like yo---" Steve stopped his sentence, he didn't mean that.. His mind was a mess, he said those things because he didn't want Y/N finding out his stupid feelings
"Right..Yeah, I get it.."
"Y/N that's not what I me--"
"Cause King Steve shouldn't be hanging out with people like me?Gotcha.."
Steve didn't even had the time to reply, he was met with Y/N's slamming door.. He didn't mean that.. Steve loved hanging out with Y/N, he want to give her something special.. Steve wanted something more from Y/N.. He knew exactly what and he didn't need a reason why but Steve wanted to give Y/N something more..
Y/N was hurt, she didn't know why but Steve words brought devastation to her.. She felt disappointed and upset, Y/N was expecting something special.. She didn't know what or why but she was expecting something more from Steve.
Y/N was dropping off Dustin to the mall where Steve was working, her lips were in a unsual frown.. Y/N wasn't usally like this, she was having a bad week, Steve just hurt her feelings and she was taking it much harder, it was very unsual.. The two Henderson was making their way to the Scoops Ahoy shop, Dustin was rambling about a message he picked up while contacting his girlfriend.
"Are you listening?" Her brother asked as they reach the store.
"Yepp, you should go in now.."
"Y/N, this could be a good thing!"
"I know..If you need my help, you can find me in the food court.."
"Y/N.."
"Yeah, Dus?"
"Are you okay?"
Y/N's mind went blank, she hated lying to her brother but she didn't want to worry anyone.  She laughs and messed Dustin's hair.
"Of course.. Now go, you know where to find me.." With that she left..
Y/N was not okay, the last time she slept was a month ago.. Nightmares kept crawling back to her, she was growing more paranoid by the day.. She was not okay, but she couldn't tell anyone that.. Everyone else is okay, even Wil who had it more rough than her. And to top that up, she was broken hearted by Steve's rejection of their friendship.. Y/N just massaged the bridge of her nose, when will she be fine?
Dustin and Steve was in the corner of the mall with binoculars in their eyes, Steve saw Y/N.. Sitting alone in the corner, a walkman in her ears and a book in hand.. Y/N was mouthing the word as her eyes read every word on that book and Steve couldn't help but feel all giddy and guilty inside.
"You see anything?" Dustin snapped Steve back to their current task.
"Uh, I guess I don't totally know what I'm looking for.'' Steve answered honestly, Y/N distracted him again.
"Evil Russians."
"Yeah, exactly. I don't know what an evil Russian looks like."
"All blond, not smiling."
"Mm-hmm?" Steve's eyes didn't looked for any Russians, his eyes drifted to Y/N spot but she was gone.. Where did she go? He couldn't help but worry, was she talking to someone else?
"Also, look for earpieces, camo, duffel bags, that sort of thing." Dustin added.
"Right, okay, duffel bags." Steve darts his eyes away from Y/N seat but it only fell on a girl he asked out earlier.
"Oh, you've gotta be kidding me." Steve mutters.
"What?" Dustin questioned.
"Anna Jacobi's talking with that meathead Mark Lewinsky."
"If you're not gonna focus, just gimme the binoculars."
Dustin got annoyed by his distracted partner, he should have brought his sister along.. But he knew that Y/N was not okay, she seemed distant and lost in her own mind.. Always spacing out and Dustin can hear her cries from his room, it killed him to see her loving and hyper sister transform into a walking corpse.
"Aw, Jesus Christ, whatever happened to standards?"
"I mean, Lewinsky never even came off the bench." Steve rambled on, annoying Dustin.
"Dude, you are the worst spy in history, you know that?"
The two fought for the binoculars, but they just looked stupid.. Dustin initially gave up and gave the binoculars to Steve.
"I don't get why you're looking at girls. You have the perfect one in front of you."
"Seriously, if you say Robin again..." Steve closes his eyes waiting for Robin's name to come up but it never did.
"No, Y/N.. My sister.."
Steve's heart clenched at the mention of her name, he wants Y/N too.. What can he do? Y/N hates his ass now, he was a jerk and he didn't deserve Y/N.
"No, man, she's not my type." Steve answered while he diverts his eyes away from Dustin.
"I saw you staring at her closed door for about 5 minutes."
Steve eyes grew wide at the realization that Dustin was watching the whole time.. Dustin just shakes his head, if he was asked he'd say that her sister felt the same way..
"She's not even... in the ballpark of what my type is, all right?"
"What's your type again? Not awesome?"
"Thank you."
"Hm."
"For you information, your sister is too sarcastic, she's too nerdy for me.."
"Also, she's too...boyish.."
Beautiful, that's what he wanted to say..
"Dude, that's my sister you're talking about, and besides she's not like that.. She's nerdy but so what? Y/N's also not boyish, she's just secured with her masculinity.."
Dustin's word echoed throughout Steve's system, he already knew that.. But somehow hearing it from another person's perspective made him like you more.
"Y/N's just not my type.." He lied..
Y/N was everything he ever wanted in a girl.
"Thanks for the clarification, Harrington." A voice surprised the two.
Y/N was standing behind them, her arms crossed..  Steve's eyes widen in surprise, did she hear everything? He didn't mean that, what did he mean?
"I didn't mean t--"
"Dustin, if you told me you'll stalk people in malls, I should've brought you to a psychiatrist.." Y/N ignored Steve and just focused on her brother.. Y/N would be lying if she haven't felt more hurt by the words Steve dropped.. She had been listening since the talk about girls came up, Y/N spotted the two doing eccentric things and she decided to eavesdrop.
"No, it's called spying.." Dustin rolled his eyes at her sister remarks while Steve was still frozen..
"What's the difference?" Y/N asked, her eyes still focused on he brother..
"It's just different, okay? Were looking for the--" Dustin stopped and looks around to see if anybody was near..
"Russians?" Y/N continued in a loud tone.
"Shh!" Both Steve and her brother shushed her. Y/N was surpised, she glares at the two and moved closer to them.
"Fine, can I tag along? I'm bored and it'll be nice to be a national hero."
The two looked at each other, Steve was nervous.. Y/N obviously didn't want him around, but this could be a chance for him to apologize to Y/N.
"Sure, you can help us look for russians with dufflebags and camo." Dustin pulled her sister to his side.
"That's kinda racis--"
"No, it's not!" Dustin cuts her sister off making Y/N laugh..
"Whatever you say Dus.."
And that's how she ended up inside a theater with two kids and two drugged teenagere.. Y/N's breathing was heavy, they were captured by Russians just moments ago.. Adrenaline was pumping through her veins, she thought this town was finally normal again, but turns out she was wrong.. Very very wrong..
They needed to get out of this hellish mall, Y/N need to find out if there's still russians lurking out, looking for them.
"The two of you need to stay here and take care of them." Y/N instructs to her brother, she pointed at a floopy Steve and Robin.
"Wait--Where are you going?!" Dustin stopped her by pulling her arm.
"I'm going to see if those fuckers are still looking for us.."
"No, we'll come with you.."
"Dustin, you need to stay here and keep a low profile.."
"Y/N don't be a hero.."
"Hey, Dipshit!I'm not trying to be a hero, what I'm doing is protecting you guys because our two friends are drugged and beaten while we brought a little kid into our mess! And I will do everything to keep you all safe, even if that means I get hurt or killed!"
Dustin knew that there's no talking Y/N out of this, her sister was right.. Taking a deep breath, he just nods and hugs her sister..
"Just please, stay safe.." Dustin was in the verge of tears but Y/N held him tight in her arms.. Dustin pulled back, Y/N gave her brother a comforting smile, she rubbed his cheeks and pat his head.
"I'll be okay, I'm a Henderson for god's sake.."
Dustin laughs as tears stroll in his face, she kissed his forehead and walked away, trying not to attract attention.. Taking a deep breath she left the theater, she'll do whatever it takes to keep her brother and her friends.. Y/N's mind flew to Steve, she was pissed off but she was not sure anymore.. The way he saved them and got beat up for them, she couldn't find a reason to be mad at him, all she can think about is his childlish look and how hot he is in his sailor uniform. Y/N just shakes those thoughts away and tried to focus on her task..
Russians..
Steve and Robin were throwing up in a seperate cubicles, they were getting the drugs out of their system.. Retching and puking can be heard all through out the theater bathroom, Steve groans and flushes the toilet.
"The ceiling stopped spinning for me. Is it still spinning for you?" Robin's voice can be heard from the other cubicle.
"Holy shit. No. You think we puked it all up?" Steve rested his back to the mini wall inside the cubicle..
"Maybe. Ask me something.."
"Interrogate me." Robin said in a mocking russian accent.
"Okay. Interrogate you. Sure. Um... When was the last time you, uh, peed your pants?"
"Today."
"What?"
"When the Russian doctor took out the bone saw."
"Oh... All right, my turn."
"Okay. Hit me."
"Have you... ever been in love?"
"Yep. Nancy Wheeler. First semester, senior year." Steve imitates a gunshot.
"Are you still in love with Nancy?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"I found someone else, she's a little bit better for me.It's crazy. Ever since Dustin got home, he's been saying, 'You know, you gotta find your Suzie. You gotta find your Suzie.' "
"Wait, who's Suzie?"
"It's some girl from camp, I guess his girlfriend. To be honest with you, I'm not 100% sure she's even real."
" But that's not- that's not really the point. That doesn't matter. The point is, this girl, you know, the one that I like, it's somebody that I... didn't even talk to in school. And I don't even know why."
"Maybe 'cause Tommy H. would've made fun of me or... I wouldn't be... prom king. It's stupid. I mean, Dustin's right, it's all just a bunch of bullshit anyways. Because, when I think about it, I should've been hanging out with this girl the whole time."
"First of all, she hates me now because of a stupid thing I said but when we hanged out, we were bonding and shit.. She was perfect for me, she's nerdy, hangs out with kids too much.. She likes the same things I like, her brother is my bestfriend.. Sometimes I wonder if she's real, because she's too perfect."
"Wait--You like Y/N?"
"Yeah, ever since last year.. I like her so damn much, I can't even believe that I said to her that I shouldn't be hanging out with someone like her."
"YOU SAID THAT?" Robin's voice boomed out all over the bathroom, Steve just sighs and slids out of the cubicle..
"Unfortunately, yes.."
Steve slid in to Robins cubicle, she was glaring at him.
"If you ask me, Y/N doesn't deserve someone like me.. She--She's too nice to be caught up in my miserable life.. And besides she would never like me.."
"I think you're still high.."
"No, I'm not.."
"Do you remember what I said about Click's class? About me being jealous and, like, obsessed?"
"Yeah?"
"It isn't because I had a crush on you. It's because... she wouldn't stop staring at you.."
"Mrs. Click?" Robin chuckles and just shakes her head.
"Y/N Henderson, I wanted her to look at me. But... she couldn't pull her eyes away from you and your stupid hair. And I didn't understand, because you would get bagel crumbs all over the floor. And you asked dumb questions. And you were a douchebag. And- And you didn't even like her then and... I would go home... and just scream into my pillow."
"But Y/N's a girl.."
"Steve.."
"Oh.."
"Yeah, now listen..Don't give me the 'she doesn't deserve me' and 'she doesn't like me back' crap.. Y/N was inlove with you since highschool, now you will tell her all about your mushy mushy feelings and you'll two will get married, have kids and you'll have me to thank for. "
"But what about you?"
"Please, I moved on.."
"Really?"
"Hell yeah, with my pretty face?I could find someone in a jiffy!"
The two were laughing when Dustin and Ericka burst into the bathroom.. Annoyance and frustration written all over their face..
"Okay. What the hell?!" Dustin asked very annoyed.
"Dude, we're normal again.."
"That's not the problem now, we need to find Y/N and go with the rest of the party."
"Y/N's not with you?"
"Do you see her?" Erica asked with the normal sass in her voice. Robin rolls her eyes at Erica who just glares at her.
"Where did she go?" Steve ignored Erica's sarcastic question
"She said she'll check the perimeter, but she hasn't come back since." Dustin answered, she was worried for her sister.. In their situation, who wouldn't?
"Shit." Steve and Robin both utter at the same time.
Y/N was changed into a much more inauspicious clothes, it was just some pants and a shirt tucked into it.. She fixed her disheveled hair and wiped her sweat.. She needed to blend in, her eyes wander around the mall.. There were Russians walking around, bviously looking for someone and that someone was them.. All the exits are heavily guarded by guards, there's no way out..
Taking a deep breath she walked back to the theater, praying that her brother and friends was safely still there but before she could even reached the theater, a russian man spotted her..
"I got eyes on one of the target!" The russian said into his earpiece, making Y/N run to the higher level of the mall, her heart racing and she was starting to feel tired.
Y/N just ran until she lost the russian, her breathing was getting shorter by the second..  Y/N's leg was starting to hurt but she ignored it and looked down to see if she can spot her brother..
And there they are, getting chased by guards.. Worries pumped into her brain as they run.. She needed to help them, if not they could get killed.
"Hey stupid spies!I'm right up here, morons!" Y/N screamed at the top of her lungs as she waves her hands around..
Steve and Dustin was horrified as they hide into the counters, Y/N was risking her life for theirs..
The guards that was chasing them made eye contact and targeted Y/N but before they could do anything a car honk.. The russians looked at each other, confused and dazed.. Eleven can be seen controlling the car, she throws it at the bad men and all they could hear were groans..
Y/N felt a surge of relief, she made her way to her brother.. Dustin, Robin, Erica and Steve pop out from behind the counter, steam hissing.. Y/N saw her brother and they all rushed up to hug her..
A tight hug welcomed Y/N, but this hug wasn't just from Dustin.. It was also from Robin, Erica and Steve.. Suddenly they all look up to see the rest of the party.. The hug was cut off by Dustin running to hug Mike and Eleven.
"Lucas?" Erica saw her brother and it made Lucas confuse..
"What are you doing here?"
Y/N who was just taking in deep breaths smiled to herself.. They were safe, but she knew this was not over.. Steve stayed in Y/N side, Robin's word replayed in his mind.. This is his chance to say his undying love to Y/N.
"Y/N?"
"Hmm?" Y/N saw Steve besides her, she was growing tired but Y/N needed to keep thriving for everyone.. Y/N saw that Steve was hesitant, he was nervous and it made her felt nervous too.
"I--I uhh.." Steve mumbles, his tongue was backing out.. Y/N had such a powerful effect on him, to the way she says his name, and everytime Y/N calls him, his heart skips a beat.. It sounds corny, but it was true..
"What?Do you need a speak and spell?" Y/N joked, it didn't help a struggling Steve.. He started to grew more anxious, he needed to get this off his chest.. This could be the last time they all see each other alive, there's no telling what could happen to them.
Y/N was just staring at him
"I have something to confess---"
Steve was cut off by El who was in pain and grunting in the floor..  They all ran to her aid and helped her with the pain she was going through.. Steve slightly curses at himself, maybe this was not a great time for a love confession.. He needed to focus on surviving this hellish adventure.. Again
It finally ended.. Y/N was relieved, it was over.. They were safe, Y/N and Dustin were sitting in the back of an ambulance, a blanket around them as they hug each other..
"If this shit happens again, we're moving.." Y/N jokes.. Dustin chuckled, maybe they should.. However, the adventures were growing more fun and dangerous..
"Nah, we love being heroes.."
Y/N laughs as she held her brother tighter, she fixed his hair and wipe some dirt off his face.. Even if he's old now, he'll always be Y/N's baby brother.. She smiled at the memory of Suzie and Dustin singing in the middle of mayhem and chaos.
"Stooop, I'm all grown up now!" He stood up and made his way to his friends..
"Don't get too far, lover boy!" Y/N shouted causing Dustin's cheek to blush..
Y/N sighs at the sight of her brother walking away from her, this is the last time she'll save the world, she was tired of monsters.. Y/N was just enjoying the cold air of the night when someone cleared their throat.
"Hello to you Harrington.." Y/N smiled at Steve, he was just standing infront of her.. Y/N can't help but feel giddy when Steve's in his sailor outfit.. It saddens her that Steve was still stuck in his highschool mindset..
"I have something to tell you.." Steve mumbles incoherently, but Y/N understood it.. Steve was always nervous when Y/N's around, he remember the first time he saw Y/N..
Steve saw Dustin on the street asking for help, and he didn't believe at him first but he was soon convinced by how Dustin was nervous and scared.. They pulled up at the Henderson's residence, that's where he first saw--no that's not the right word..
That's where he first acknowledged Y/N..
She was sitting on the porch steps on her pajama's, there were dirt on her face and her hairs a mess.. Y/N's face lighten up when he saw Dustin getting out of the car..
"Hey Dus------What is he doing here?" Y/N's face dropped when he saw Steve also getting out of the car.
"He's our back up.." Her brother answered short and continue walking into the entrance of the basement.
"I'm back up..'' Steve said cocky at Y/N, she just scoffs and followed Dustin..
"For a guy with a black eye, you're awfully confident.."
"That's what seeing a pretty girl like you does to me.." Steve didn't know what he ate that time but he had this whole new confidence when he started talking to Y/N.. However, Y/N didn't seem impressed to his corny jokes and pick up lines, she was always scoffing and rolling her eyes..
"Yeah, you said that too when we were inside..That" Y/N's voice pulled him back to the present.. Y/N gestured at the burning mall infront of them.
"Yeah.." Steve cleared his throat, he opens his mouth, but the words won't come out he's chokin', how, everybody's jokin' now, the clocks run out, times up, over, blaow   .
"Are you gonna say something?" Y/N was starting to get nervous, did she do something to make Steve act strange? He was shaking, the sweat on his forehead is flowing like the Niagara Falls.. That's not attractive yet for some reason she found it hot..
"Oh--Yeah--Uhh.." He failed to say words again, why can't he just go straight to the point?
Robin who was with the rest of the party was staring at a stuttering and nervous Steve.. The rest started to notice even Jonathan and Nancy who was in each others arms..
"When is he gonna tell my sister that he likes her?" Dustin ponder as he stares at the two..
"I don't know, he's taking forever just uttering one sentence.." Lucas pitched in making the others laugh..
"I thought Steve was a suave and cool guy?" Mike jokes causing some of them to laugh, some was just quiet.. They were still having a hard time grasping all of this, especially Max..
"He's a nerd just like you guys.." Nancy answered, they all shake their heads as they watch Steve nervously fidgets..
"Alright, I finally had enough.." Robin whispers, the party turned to Robin, carefulky watching to what she had under her sleeves..
"HEY Y/N!" Robin shouts..
Y/N broke her gaze with Steve and brought it to a shouting Robin, not far from them.. Steve just froze to his place, panic started blaring out through his mind..
"WHAT STEVE'S TRYING TO SAY IS HE FREAKING LIKES YOU!" Robin shouted, and it all made them freeze.. Y/N blinked rapidly, did she hear that right? Steve l-likes her? What? When? How? Where?
Steve felt embarrased, he wanted the crawl in a hole and die.. Robin was dead to him, how could she do that? Now Y/N's gonna start to avoid him, she obviously doesn't like her back.
"I-Is that true?" Y/N finally asked the question she was dying to ask, she never really thought about Steve that way.. Fine, she's not gonna lie, there were some thoughts about Steve that kept her up at night..
"I can explain--If you don't feel the same it's totally fi----" Steve panicked and randomly said any excuses he can think off, not giving Y/N a chance to speak..
Y/N rolled her eyes at how Steve was rambling on, she smiled and stands up.. Pulling Steve sailor outfit, she kissed him..
Steve pressed his lips harder on Y/N, he wanted this kiss to happen since he first saw her.. And now it's happening, Y/N puts her arm around Steve's neck.. This was her first kiss and she was glad that it was to Steve.. They both kissed as the burning Star Court crumbles infront of them.  Y/N didn't knew that you can find love and monsters in this terrifying situation..
Dustin groaned at the sight of her sister and bestfriend kissing, he wanted to vomit and scoop his eyes out.. This was not a sight for sore eyes..
"Ugh!I don't want to watch my sister exchange salivas with Harrington!" Dustin sigh under his breath
"Get used to it, you'll be seeing a lot of him.." Robin teased making Dustin die inside.
"Dammit!"
Y/N was just thinking that some people lost someone special, Eleven lost Hopper.. Max lost Billy and the rest will wake up in the morning with terrible memories haunting them everyday, they can no longer feel the assurance that they're safe in the quiet town they grew up to. They knew everything that lies withing the depths of this ground, all the horrible things that Hawkin Labs brought.. Chief Hopper and Billy Hargrove died for them, they were heroes.. And the sad part is, no one will ever know.. Those who deserves to be recognized is no longer here, the heroine act they did save the world yet the world doesn't even know about them.. But Y/N and the rest knows that the sacrifices they made won't go to waste, they'll do everything in their power to keep whatever haunts this eerie town at bay.
I found this highly nice but cringey at the same time so bear with it, I also wanted to update my series about James Potter but I just can't seem to end it ughhhhh..Anyways, I hope you guys like this one..

Hi Susie! I love your writing :D Just thought I would check how you operate in terms of interacting in fandom in discussion about your work? I get the sense you don't answer many asks on here but you do engage enthusiastically in the comments on your Ao3 postings. What personally do you get most excited about when someone wants to reach out somehow?
/o\ :DDDDD That's very kind of you, anon! And rest assured I am very excited about ANY way anyone would like to reach out to me, but I am definitely the best (like, relatively speaking :'D but) at keeping up with comments, for sure—if you'd like a response within a reasonable timeframe, that's your best bet! I love and appreciate asks enormously, but it often takes me a while to round up enough time to really sit down and think through my responses ... and I also have a huge backlog to work through :'D though I'm going to be trying to set up a schedule for myself that will help me answer them more consistently going forward. pray for me
Anyway! If you don't have an AO3 account or would like to remain anon, I always leave anon comments turned on over there, and you definitely shouldn't feel any obligation to comment on the content of a specific story first—if you just want to leave me a note or ask a general question, feel free to pick any fic and go for it! BUT I also do have a Dreamwidth with a pinned post where you can leave anon comments, if you like (I haven't used that account for much except very slowly storing backdated asks and my answers, in case Tumblr ever kicks the bucket! But I'll get an email alert about any comments over there). And if you've got anything you want to talk to me about in a space more private than the comment section on the AO3/a public DW post, by all means send me an email (susie.c.carter (at) gmail.com) or DM me on Discord (susie#1557, and I have friending open over there, so you don't need to share any servers with me or anything to send me a friend request). Whatever works the best for you is great!
But yeah, AO3 comments are the one thing I swore to myself I'd try not to let slide, even when I'm too busy or too tired to message people/chat/get my brain in order to compose an email or write up an answer to an ask, so—I will be equally thrilled to hear from you no matter how you'd like to get in touch, but I'm the most reliable about AO3! (... Which, again, this is on a scale from "none reliable, godawful flake" to "pretty good about sticking to a week or less most of the time", not to "genuinely good and dependable". For the record. /o\)

(a) this isn't a bad one, i promise
cross-posted on AO3
First of all, THIS IS NOT A STORY-ENDING ANNOUNCEMENT.
Feel like I should repeat this...
THIS IS NOT A STORY-ENDING ANNOUNCEMENT!
*phew*
With that said, the reason I've put this up here is to give you, my fellow readers, an update about my stories and my insufferable life in general. Again, this is because I'm constantly receiving quite a lot of asks regarding updates. And while I am quite grateful for your anticipation, I haven't been able to deliver lately, and I truly apologize.
1. My physical classes have resumed and they are incredible yet tiring. I'm exhausted by the time I reach home. I simply have to study more these days, which doesn't let me take out time for writing.
2. I'm being pulled into different fandoms (star wars and wizarding world and marvel), and yes, this is entirely my fault. These fandom pulls have generated a massive number of ideas of which I'm having an incredibly hard time of keeping track of.
3. My life, in general, is currently what I can describe it as quite literally 'meh' and... yeah, it's been mentally stressing and bad, downright bad. I'm going to admit, I've been crying a lot, putting up tons of excuses for my behaviour which is not at all valid, at all. I've been feeling miserable and for the first time in my life, I took a day off from classes because I felt like shit. And I felt even more shitty because that was the first time I took a holiday for being so mentally degraded and I kept berating myself because of it.
I just wanted to put all of this here because, yeah, I haven't been updating at the rate which I used to before. I updated quite regularly a couple of months before now and right now, it's just nothing over here, which I again deeply and sincerely apologize for.
Let me make one thing clear — I am NOT abandoning my stories. I intend to finish each and every one of them, even the future ones (yes, behind-the-scenes writing is also going on).
This place is my happy place. I love writing. I want to continue writing. Even as I grow up, I'm going to have to let go of a lot of things in life but writing? No way in hell.
So, yes, long story short — updates are incoming, but they are delayed, and will be delayed for sometime. Again, I deeply apologize if this news has utterly devastated/ruined your opinion of me, it's alright, even I'm a bit mad and sad at myself. It's just how life is and... yeah, that's all I've got.
But while I may seem to be inactive here, I am very much active on my Tumblr and Twitter, especially Tumblr. I'm open to any requests you have (I've already received a Klaulena one and an Elena x AndrewGarfield!Peter Parker one which is currently being written). I talk and reblog a lot about TVDU and Star Wars there so yup, if you guys have anything, ANY QUESTIONS, please do feel free to send me an ask and I'll gladly reply. If you've got any requests too, that's also fine, I'm currently accepting requests as well.
Till then, I'll keep writing whenever I'm able to find time/make out time. Updates are most certainly coming, but they're delayed.
Thank you so much for reading. I'm sorry if this sounds like a bit of a mess, my thoughts are entirely jumbled and this is just everything of them. I'll be deleting this part in 36 hours from now.
Please take care of yourselves! Stay safe and have a wonderful day/night ahead of you <33
♡ Quinn
P.S. I am only present on Tumblr, Twitter, and Fanfiction.Net and not any other site (i think I THINK) under the same username.

Hi, everyone.
I have something extremely important to talk about that is NOT fandom related. I really do hope this can reach everyone on here, especially since it's still Autism Acceptance Month.
A few quick questions for anyone who happens to see this before I dive right into this: Have you ever heard of Dhar Mann? If so, have you ever seen his videos? What do you think about them?
If you don't know who Dhar Mann is, he's a content creator whose main platforms are Instagram and YouTube. He makes these videos about various scenarios from a couple on the brink of divorce, to kids bullying one of their peers, even about Autism Spectrum Disorder. All of his videos have some kind of message at the end that really drives the point home. One of his most recent videos is about ASD, which is what I'm going to discuss today.
Personally, I think some of his videos are interesting, despite the concepts being reused and recycled over and over; however, how I feel about the video he made about ASD is the complete opposite. I'll summarize the video he made so you don't have to watch it. (If you really want to watch it to see exactly what I'm talking about, I'm not gonna stop you. Do what you need to do in order to form your own opinion.)
The video Dhar Mann made about ASD is about this boy who excludes his autistic brother from participating in activities with his friends at school. The boy bullies his autistic brother and does pretty much everything to make his brother's life Hell, even going as far as to pretend that he doesn't know his own brother. The boy "instantly regrets his decision" when their mom is called into the school to discipline her son for bullying his autistic brother. What his mother says is what REALLY upsets me. The message of this video in particular is this, WORD FOR FUCKING WORD. I wish I was kidding. But here's the message below:
Tumblr media
How the video concludes is the boy reluctantly includes his autistic brother in every single activity, the boy sees his brother's potential, and they live happily ever after. Whoop-dee-fucking-doo.
As an autistic woman who works with disabled people for a living, that message Dhar Mann put in this video specifically is not only extremely ableist, but is also spreading misinformation about ASD.
News flash to all the people who still spread misinformation about ASD: Not every single autistic person is a little white boy in elementary school, nor is every single autistic person a young white man who's a Super Genius™️. (I could go on all day long about how the media stereotypes autistic characters and autistic people in general, but that's a whole other topic.) No autistic person is the same, meaning we all fall on the spectrum in different places and all that jazz. There's no "look" to autistic people either because no autistic person looks the same.
Autistic women exist.
Autistic girls exist.
Autistic nonbinary people exist.
Autistic BIPOC and AAPI exist.
Autistic people who are completely nonverbal exist.
Autistic people who are completely verbal exist.
Autistic people who are in the middle of being nonverbal and verbal exist.
Autistic people who require minimal to no support exist.
Autistic people who require moderate support exist.
Autistic people who require full support exist.
Autistic LGBT people exist. (Reason why I bring this one up is because the media almost always shows cishet autistic men and I don't see autistic LGBT representation very often, if ever.)
Autism isn't something you can "catch". People have this same mentality about ADHD and Tourette's Syndrome too, which, by the way, you can't "catch" either.
Autism doesn't "go away" when you reach adolescence or adulthood. Why? BECAUSE AUTISTIC TEENAGERS AND AUTISTIC ADULTS EXIST. Autistic kids grow into autistic teenagers, then into autistic adults.
You can't "cure" it either. Unless you can build a time machine and a device to go back in time to change how a person's brain develops, there is no cure. ABA therapy is a fucking shit show in itself that does more harm than good.
The title of the video is a real squick for me too. It's mostly because I don't particularly enjoy people using person first language (the "boy with autism" part). I've seen many other autistic people on multiple other platforms sharing that same sentiment and preferring identity first language (autistic person). There are also others who prefer using person first language and those who don't have a preference. That's all perfectly valid. Whatever you prefer people using when referring to you, or whatever you refer to yourself as, in this case, is totally valid and I love you. This goes for disabilities in general, not just Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Regarding the message in this video, here's my response to it! A quick heads-up, my response is VERY long and VERY passionate. I was VERY close to making a response video where I tear that video apart AND tear Dhar Mann a new asshole. Unfortunately, it worked me up so much that I was really struggling with what I wanted to say and I had to stop multiple times because I kept stumbling on my words. That's how angry this message made me. I'll try my best to explain whatever parts you have questions about. I put my response in the nicest way I possibly could, despite me seething with rage, wanting to go OFF on him.
(The first part of my response are the first three screenshots, and the second part are the last three screenshots.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first part of my response, I did forget to add that the message is offensive and disrespectful to autistic people as a whole. I apologize. My initial comment got way too long. I pretty much covered that when I told him the message is ableist. I wanted to clear that up before anyone asks about it.
The second part of my response is me opening up about my experience with being diagnosed with ASD, formerly known as As//per//ger's Syn//dro//me, at sixteen years old. I also went into how not calling ASD what it truly is (which is a disability) and calling it a "different ability" instead is extremely harmful and is treating being disabled like it's a bad thing.
By the way, saying that a disabled person is disabled isn't a bad thing. I'm disabled. It is what it is. Does it have its challenges? You bet. Does it help me with certain things? Hell yeah. I can really absorb information about my favorite bands, characters, shows, books, etc., and tell you a lot about those things. For example, I can tell you that Su can't ride a bike or read manga and she's okay with that. I can also tell you she can't tie her shoes very well, which is why her boots don't have laces and are slip-on and/or zip-up. But that doesn't mean my struggles are nonexistent or that I never struggle. I do, and it makes my life Hell at times.
The narrative that autism is a bad thing to have, every autistic person is somehow broken and they all need to be "fixed" is also super fucked up and not true. That's the narrative that I received when I was diagnosed by a therapist I had. I'm gonna be real here, I cried when I was first told that I was diagnosed with ASD. I felt like I was broken. I already felt like a total outcast. Being told about my diagnosis made me feel even more broken than I already felt. I was so ashamed of myself, despite me not doing anything wrong whatsoever, that I masked for SEVEN YEARS of my life. I masked for so long that I forgot I was even diagnosed with ASD in the first place. I wasn't taught how to really put my special interests into good use. I kinda had to figure that out on my own. I was pretty much under the assumption that me being interested in anime, cartoons, music, comics, theatre, writing, etc., to the point of obsession, was somehow weird and hurting people around me. You know, despite those things being harmless. Despite me being able to separate those things from other things that are important (like work, for example). Despite my only surviving parent, other family members, and the woman he was dating at the time completely overreacting and not bothering to see exactly what makes these things so special to me.
(By the way, having a disability does not completely make who a person is. There are a lot more things that make who a person is than that.)
It's kinda shocking that I wasn't able to come to terms with my diagnosis until this year. Considering that I masked for so long due to being ashamed of myself, plus being treated like a burden for being disabled, it's probably not very surprising. I initially thought at the time that it was the worst thing to have, as I was already struggling with enough shit back then, but came to realize it's not a bad thing. It doesn't change who I am. But I'm glad I came to terms with it finally nonetheless.
This is getting way too long, so I'm gonna wrap things up here. If you've read this far, thank you so much. I'm sorry this got so long!
If you watched the video, what are your thoughts on it? If this is your first time hearing about Dhar Mann, how do you feel about him? If you're a Dhar Mann fan, did this change your opinion on him in any way? Feel free to sound off in the comments!
Have a great day, everyone!

Meant To Be Series || One For Every Billion
5. Thank Some Gods
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You end up in Hyogo for a real hot minute over your winter break, thanks to your cousins Akira and Akari who decided to drag you along when they were forced to visit with their mom and older brother. Being a year older then them and already a seasoned solo traveller, the parents all thought you'd be a great chaperone. Woohoo, yay you.
Truth be told, you love spending time with them and you're really happy to be able to see your aunt and other cousin, their brother Kazuya, that you'd missed over the summer, as well. Although you did have to apologize to Tobio and his family because when you'd promised you would stay with them next, you should have specified you meant next time you were in Miyagi. Not Japan in general. You think they were just taking the piss though.
Oh right, your vulgar new phrases are courtesy of Akira, thank her very much. Spend a few minutes in the twins' company and you end up talking like them, or whatever their west coast academy friends are currently teaching them, at least. Akari has a valley girl phase going and you think Akira is gearing up for a Tarantino-inspired life. Can't see how your family is let that going to happen, but it's not your job to tell him that.
"Y/nnn, did you try this dango!" Akira runs right into you, appearing from the crowd of people on the festive street of the shopping district you're in, and locks her free arm around yours while waving a stick with round balls on it in other other hand.
"No, but I waited 10 minutes standing still in the cold and crowd so you can bet that I will. Half of that is already mine."
"Hmph," She scoffs, "No one told you to stand still and wait around, silly."
You give her an exasperated look, "You literally said, 'stay there a minute, I'm grabbing us some sweets!' and bounced off."
"Okay, okay, chill your roll, girl."
"Not sure that's a saying, girl."
"Maybe not at the snooty east side preps."
"Yo." Akira appears on your other side. "Half that's mine."
"A third. Or none at all." Akari sticks her tongue out at her twin.
He looks over at you and you nod, twisting quickly so you can grab and hold her occupied arm still while he plucks the dango from her hand.
"Hey! Looks like it's none at all!"
"No. Looks like it's half mine, half Y/n's." He bites off one of the chewy balls (okay, we all know how that sounds.. slow your roll, girl) before holding the stick in front of your face so you can grab one too. Oh wow. It is good. Why did you wait so long to try it? So many years wasted without enjoying this sweet texture.
You can see your third cousin approaching, holding onto a tray of steaming drinks, as you chew over your thoughts on the delicious dessert (see what you did there?).
"I got your coffee", he holds the tray between us so I can grab one of the cups with my free hand, but like.. Kazuya, which one is it?
"Kazuuu, they're bullying me!" Akari pouts for sympathy only for Akira to fire back almost before she reaches the last word.
"She bullied me first!"
Instead of responding to either, he rolls his eyes at their bickering but they're only having fun. You've never met siblings that have each other's backs more than these two. You think Kazuya misses it too, having decided to study in Japan and live with his mom who consequently chose to work here, while the other two live with their dad - but really at a boarding school - back on the American west coast.
"Whatever, are you grabbing your drinks or what?"
Akari only smiles at her older brother's deadpan expression, "Which one is my hot chocolate, niichan?"
"Please don't call me that."
"Why not?"
But it's Akira who answers with a snicker, "Because you don't even go here, brat. It's cringy coming from you."
"Shut up, ugly clone."
"That's literally impossible unless you're calling yourself ugly too."
Okay, you're just going to go for the cup closest to you on your left. You pick it up and sip slowly... success. The sweet, warm flavour of your white chocolate mocha slides down your throat.
Kazu is giving you an arch look now, he knows how much you live for coffee but he's still going to say something about it, right? "You know it's already dark out, I don't know how you can drink this stuff so late. Don't you want to get some sleep tonight?"
"Bold of you to assume I need sleep." You smirk at him over the rim of your cup while Akari makes an attempt at snatching the remaining dango back from her brother around you. Please don't make me spill.
"Nah, I just assume you're a robot and this is your regular maintenance or something."
You consider his words before shrugging, nothing too mean that you can call him out on, you guess. "Down the hatch then."
"Sure thing, but I'm not staying up late bingeing your crappy shows with you when you're wired."
"But you'll binge a non-crappy show?"
"Maybe."
Another smile for your favourite cousin of the minute. He did get you coffee, you know. Akari's managed to grab the third sweet off the stick with her mouth like some rabid animal, but it makes sense because the hand not still holding onto you is holding back Akari's arm. They're going to smac-
And they hit the tray that Kazu was only just holding. He somehow manages to grab one of the drinks you assume is his out of it's spot while avoiding the wreckage spill of the other two cups. He didn't even try to hold on to it, which is partly why you're laughing as both twins start simultaneously apologizing and complaining about their spilled drinks.
Kazuya's deadpan expression is actually pretty communicative for the the moment, "I'm not going back for another, this is on you guys."
"Kazu, do you like being mean to us?" They actually ask this at the same time but Kazu's not even phased.
"Yes, I want you to suffer." He's dry as ever.
You chuckle but they're so sweet, most of the time, so you'll make it up for them, "I passed a stall selling hot chocolate, since we don't need to replace my specialty coffee, I can go there to get you some."
"Me too?" Akira asks hopefully.
"Yes, you too, puppy."
He rolls his eyes, trying to adjust his expression back into an uncaring one. It's more natural on his brother currently, but you can definitely see him grow into a more serious demeanour someday.
"I'll come with you while these two stay put." Kazu gives his younger siblings a stern look.
"No need," You wave him off, grabbing the stick with the last piece of dango and handing it to him, "Enjoy this as repayment from us all for making you go all the way back into the mall for our drinks. In the meantime, I'll be right back."
"Hold on, you're going to the one next to the onigiri stand, right?"
"Yeah?"
"Okay, straight there and back in fifteen minutes or I'll come find you. And if I have to worry, I won't be happy."
"Okay niisan." You roll your eyes with your sarcastic tone. Older brothers. No wonder he and your brother Raiden get along so well, they're under some misassumption that their younger siblings just can't help getting into trouble, as if you all only live to annoy them. And he was doing so well as your favourite cousin for the time being.
You stroll away from the benches you were waiting at by the end of the street where the outdoor stalls meet the main street shopping mall and melt back into the crowd. This festival really is something, so brightly lit with pretty twinkling lights strung up everywhere and curled around any available post like glowing, warm yellow vines. You absolutely love the vibe but you know you're on a time crunch.
You notice the onigiri stand just ahead of the drink stall and debate for a quick second before stopping in the surprisingly short line up. A piece each of sweet dessert does not a stomach fill. Unfortunately, just as you take a sip of your coffee, someone bumps into you from behind, causing it to spill over your lips and dribble down your chin but you adjust enough in time, holding the cup out and away from you, so that you're not covered in any more than that and the little bit on your hand.
You hate wet clothing with a passion, especially when it's cold outside and it clings to you with that awful chilly, sticky feel. Not so bad when it's on your coat, but on principle, that's just as unpleasant if you run the cuff of your sleeve over it or it get on the collar and then you have the tiniest bit of discomfort right by sensitive skin and that makes it all the more glaring.
You realize the person who bumped into you also reached out to steady you at the same time and is now speaking, "Shit, I'm so sorry."
It's a little quiet but you make out his apology through his thick dialect. Hm, you think that's where the odd changes in Kazu and his mom's speech are coming from, a regional osmosis of accents?
"No worries, it's pretty crowded." You only half turn while you search your pockets for a tissue or napkin, spotting a flash of grey in your peripherals. Then an arm covered in that grey reaches out to hold a napkin in your field of view and you finally look up to see who it belongs too.
And now you're just staring. Hi there, I'd like hear your voice more. Preferably while you stare at his mouth move on his beautiful face. You can't believe he just had his hand on your waist, even if it was just for a split second and over layers of clothes, and you didn't get to appreciate it.
"It's not dirty." He shakes the napkin, you're assuming because he thankfully thought you were thinking that over instead of ogling him.
You chuckle, thinking how you definitely need to send thanks to some divine power on the new year for all the interactions with some serious eye candy these past six months, but out loud you say, "I really need to thank some gods out there, huh?"
What?
He gives you a confused look but you catch yourself and, before he can respond and question your sanity, quickly follow up with, "Or just you. For this. Thank you for the napkin."
"S'alright. Wasn't a big favour, really, just makin' up for my fault bumpin' into ya." You're not sorry he did, though? You can't tell what he's thinking, this guy is a closed book, folks. It's kind of jarring, since you consider yourself exceptional at reading people and acclimating to them.
You finally actually accept the napkin and wipe at your mouth and chin first, then your hand, responding, "At least you didn't make me drop the coffee or we would have had a real problem."
You think he realizes you're teasing because the corner of his mouth actually inches up the tiniest bit. You're not imagining, you swear it on your mocha!
"Coffee this late?"
"It's 11am somewhere."
"Ya wake up at 11am?" What an interesting thought process he has.
"Are you not on winter break? Or do you just assume your typical hours in every conversation no matter what day of the year it is?"
"Huh." You think he sounds thoughtful? Or was it just the word and you're associating it with how you use it..
"That's not an answer, but I'll take that to mean you go the typical route." You smile again because like you said, he's unreadable and you really don't want him to think you're being bitchy. You're really grateful for the napkin. And that face. So... yeah.
You're moving up, thankfully, because you thought you were blessed but this is just turning into what feels like an awkward encounter.
"I like sleepin' in, but sometimes I get too hungry so I'm up when my stomach is."
You look back at him in surprise, obviously because he bothered to continue a seemingly closed conversation, but that quickly turns into amusement and commiseration, "Oh I know! It's mostly coffee for me because not a lot of people bother to make breakfast in my house, but if I smell something delicious cooking, I forget I'm not a morning person."
He does smile fully then and it's beautiful. "Me too, but I'm usually the one doing the cookin'."
"Oh wow, that's dedication. I can respect but never reach that ideal." You hold your hand to your heart in a silly salute but also because he's still smiling and you're trying to tell your unreliable organ to be still. Not too still though, you're enjoying the moment and want to keep living it.
"Eh, I'm used to it."
"Well then, for once, let someone else take care of your food. I'll get your order for you."
"Seriously? It was just a napkin and my fault too.."
"Yeah, no, don't worry about it! Consider it a gift in essence of the festival!"
He doesn't say anything for a moment before, "I was going to try the different flavours. That's a lot."
"No way, that's awesome! I'll do that too, I don't even know what they have available, I just stopped here on a whim on my way there." You indicate the stand next to the one you're almost to the front of with a wave of your hand.
"Ahh.. if ya like, I can suggest some?"
You happily smile at him as you accept, "That would be great, thank you so much."
The two of you step up to the counter together and you listen while he orders. While you both wait for them to place each of your requests, he explains some of the fillings and why they work best depending on personal taste and even situation. You tell him about having just tried dango, sad about having realized you missed out so long, and he actually smiles widely at your exaggerated pained expression but also recommends some other desserts, including which shops to stop at in the city.
It's starting to snow as you two talk, which is not rare but still unusual for this region, but thankfully it's not much longer before you're each handed your containers and move aside. You look over to him and laugh when you realize this guy is already munching on one of the onigiris, your breath puffing out in a small cloud before you. "Which one is it?"
"Fatty tuna." He talks around it with his own little puffy cloud and it's pretty cute actually, instead of the usual cringe when people talk with their mouths full. Oh, the benefits of being good looking. Also, he's tilted his head down ever so slightly so it's almost polite in a perfected way.
"I'm just going to go ahead and assuming you're enjoying it."
He nods while swallowing and then makes some pretty intense eye contact while speaking way too seriously, "Thank you. This is amazing."
You smile, feeling like in the minutes the two of you were conversing, you've gotten a little more comfortable with the minute changes in his expressions. "You're welcome. I'm going to head over to the drink stall now, but it was nice to meet you!"
With a laugh as you walk away, you also add, "And thank you for sharing your knowledge with me, at least I'll know where to feed myself when I'm craving different things this week."
You're turning away as he seems to stand there watching you with some hesitation, but you can't do all the heavy lifting in a conversation when you're on a time limit, so you'll chalk this up to another fun run-in with a cute guy for the books.
You're lucky there's no line up, you're really short on your deadline and your fingers are getting pretty cold along with your coffee, so you pay for the hot chocolate, they pour, and you're back off towards the end of the street where your cousins are waiting.
You can't move too fast given the bag dangling from the wrist of the hand that's also carefully holding the tray of four hot chocolates, but the crowd is also thinning out a little now with the snow. Hopefully, if you're a couple minutes behind the expected time, the diverse and sheer amount of onigiri you have in the bag you're now holding, as well as the new round of warm drinks, will bring you forgiveness.
You finish up the last, cool dregs of your coffee just as you pass by a trash can, making the split decision to quickly reverse so you can toss your cup and free up a hand. As you execute your smooth move and then turn back, you unsurprisingly bump into someone yet again. Not so smooth then, you think, looking up.
It's deja vu and for a split second, you consider that he might actually be a weirdo and followed you, because stopping in your path as an apology drops from your lips is the guy you were only just talking to, same face, same dark hair, even same height... but with a different jacket on.
It takes you all of one more second to notice the small differences like the eye colour, the way the hair naturally parts, and the slightest difference in size, not to mention the more obvious difference in openness and personality literally exuding from this one. He's actually smiling wide right away with no provocation. So not a weirdo who changed his jacket and followed you.
Also, have you ever considered the odds of multiple sets of twins being in pretty much the same place at the same time?
"Oh, there's another one of you, huh?" You're talking again before he even has a chance to respond to your apology, but you guess you feel familiar thanks to your brief encounter with his twin. "That's unfair, don't you think?"
You step around him calling out, "Anyways, sorry about that. Enjoy your night." and walk away, back towards your own set of twins.
Ugh, Kazu's going to kill you. You won't be making it in time, for sure.
Miya Atsumu's POV
Atsumu turns to follow the stunning girl's progress as she moves around him and away, catching her last words but still more interested in her previous statement. 'There's another one of you, huh?'.
People have been confusing him and his twin for as long as they've been alive and only those that know them really well can only sometimes make out the difference.
It's no longer amusing, and actually irritating enough that he and 'Samu have been considering a little aesthetic change some time next year, maybe before their first year of high school.
'Tsumu knows it's his brother without looking when someone walks up to his left side from behind him. What he's surprised by is his first words, "She think you were me? I was talkin' to her a bit at the stall."
When he glances over, he notices 'Samu staring after her as well, with a lot more interest than simple, piqued curiosity. Does he know her?
"No.." He contemplates her words again before sharing with his brother, "She said 'There's another one of you, huh? That's unfair, don't you think?' and then walked away."
He can feel 'Samu looking over at him curiously, "Did ya talk to her?"
Why is he asking? He hasn't even picked up a new onigiri from the open box in his hand. "I just bumped into her. Didn't even say a word. Do ya know her?"
"Like I said, I only just met her." Pausing, 'Samu seems to think it over before adding, "We only talked a few minutes, maybe."
The twins are silent for another couple moments, while the snow continues to drift around them. The girl is long gone, swallowed up by the crowd at this point, but they keep staring at where they last saw her retreating figure, each in their own intrigued thoughts.
Finally, 'Samu's the one who breaks the silence, "Do ya believe in coincidences, 'Tsumu?"
"No, 'Samu, ya know I don't."

Behind The Scenes!
-Tee was called out in the first thread because he doesn't use emojis often, especially not the half assed ones he used for a scenario like that so... caught slipping lmao (aw he does care about Y/n <3 Maybe more than he should?)
-Y/n was NOT expecting to get called out like that for saying she likes Oikawa when she'd literally just called him her friend... Iwa, you slick wingman ;) <3 He might bully the shit out of Oikawa (to keep him in check though) but he really is his best friend :')
-Ushi says what he means and means what he says lol, yeah, he wasn't really surprised
-Y/n's friends aren't all necessarily happy about this development; they've been aware of her various interactions as they usually are (some more than others) but... they're getting older and, well, all not sharing as much with each other as they once did
-But they're still going to call her out and roast her because they're her best friends lmao who else will? They have to keep her in check too loool
-Oikawa's last reply... <33 Take it how you will :D
-And Shin just dropping in to screenshot his cousin's embarrassing moments, hoping for a dirty delete so he can roast her all over again for the same crime lmao, probably shouldn't have warned her though... whoops
-I HC the Miyas' hair dyeing happening at/around their first year of HS, anyone know any different? It was only Osamu's jacket that was grey in Y/n's peripherals, just a little tease for us all ;)
A/N: Guys, I'm really, really sorry about the Miyas' 'accent'... you might see a couple different attempts in there but I had to edit a lot of what I tried out because it sounded just awful however I was originally trying to write it earlier. If you guys do have any suggestions, I'm very much all hears (and eyes lol - heart eyes specifically because I've seen some write them incredibly well!).
That aside, I hope you all enjoyed this one, I loved writing it so much, it just flowed once I started and I love the Miya twins, each in their own way <33 I've been dying to introduce them and the other 'main' characters but there's definitely going to be a difference in the weight of interactions Y/n has for a while. It's not favoritism, I promise; Y/n's time spent with various characters is just going to be uneven at various points due to the natural progression of her story :') but I plan for it all to even out as we move along the years (:

Trini Kwan x Reader
Summary: You are the white ranger.
Warnings: Light cursing?
(You are a female.)
Things to know:
1. You and Trinity have been dating for 6 months. 2. The white power ranger coin has been passed down every generation when the oldest turns 16. So you've had the coin for 2 years. 3. You've only lived in Angel Wood for 1 1/2 years, so the boosts the coin gives you is normal to everyone. (Like you didn't suddenly get strong like Billy) 4. You already know about Zordon and Rita, you found the ship when you accidentally fell into the water. You have been training ever since and can morph. You can morph because you always imagine having a team and being connected to them and trusting them. Plus you've been practicing since you were 16. But you haven't been ale to use your zord yet.
Tumblr media
What the hell? Trini thought as the wall starts talking to the group. "These are them? They are so small." Zordon said. Trini rolled her eyes, who did this wall think he was. "Show me the coins." Zordon demands and everyone in the group pulls out their coins, "The Morphing Grid is never wrong. If the power coins have returned to the ship with these... teenagers... then these teenagers are the Power Rangers." Power rangers? Trini thought, confused. "Power rangers?" Zack asked, voicing his confusion. "Yes Power rangers. Any other questions?" Hi. How you doing? My name is Billy. Billy Cranston. Kids used to called me Billy Cramps..." "Billy! Stop." Jason interrupts. "Sorry. The images here in this sphere tell the history of the Power Rangers. Looks like the Power Rangers were a team that protected life? And life is a bright light. Or a piece of light?" Zordon looks slightly impressed with what Billy figured out, "Yes. Yes, Very good Billy. It is called the Zeo Crystal..." "Oh. I love this part. Every planet in the universe that has life. Has a piece of the Crystal buried inside it. 65 million years ago, Zordon's team died... defending the Crystal here and what is now Angel Grove. The Coins have chose you five. Now you must protect the Zeo Crystal and life on Earth." Alpha 5 said, interrupting Zordon's story and finishing it for him.
(Time skip all of the explaining cause not gonna lie it is long)
Trini woke up with a start. What the actual fu--, she thought as she looked around before realizing shes in y/ns room with y/n laying in bed with her. That just makes her even more confused. Last thing she remembers is getting hit by a train and now shes in bed with her girlfriend... It just doesn't add up. She checks the time and sees its 5 am and still has a little less then 3 hours before school. Trini slips out of the bed and leaves a note for y/n, saying she went home. After getting home and getting ready for school, Trini sat downstairs in the dining room wit her family. "So..Where were you yesterday and last night? Were you with friends? Do you have any friends? Why are you so tired?" Trini's mom asked before Trini's dad stops her. Her mom gave her dad a confused look. "You did ask her four questions... before she's even answered the first." He says to answer her confusion. "Because she's like a ghost around here. She needs to start communicating." "June." "Say something." "Speak! I just..." "Relax. Okay, relax. Okay, Trini, let's start over. Please tell us one thing you did today." Trini just rolled her eyes at her mom trying to get her to speak and her dad trying to stop her from interrogating me. "Me and four kids from Angel Grove found a spaceship buried underground. What? I'm pretty sure I'm a superhero. And I was with y/n last night." Trini responds being truthful. "Cool!" Her brother say. "Not cool. Pee in that cup! I knew that y/n was a bad influence on you." Trini rolls her eyes at peeing in a cup but tenses when her mom makes a comment about y/n. There was no way someone was gonna bash on her girlfriend and get away with it, even if it was her mom. "Don't speak about y/n that way. Shes probably the only good thing that has come out of moving here." Trini says before walking away, not even letting her mom respond.
(Time skip to after school)
Trini was happy she got to spend time during free period and lunch with y/n. Y/n even took her off campus to Krispy Kreme to help her relax. Y/n always seemed to know when Trini was stressed or not in the best mood. And Trini loved her even more for it, even if they haven't actually said the L word yet. Trini wasn't really looking forward to going back to the space ship and wanted to spend the afternoon with y/n but they said they had something they needed to do. Walking over the hill Trini was a little surprised to see everyone there. Everyone stood in awkward silence for a few minutes. "Well lets get this over with." She mumbled before jumping into the water. Everyone else following after her. When they got into the space ship, Zordon had them attempt to morph. As everyone got on their platform, they all noticed one was empty. "Why are there 6 platforms? I thought there was only 5 of us." Jason asked voicing everyone's confusion. "There are 6 rangers, red, blue, black, yellow, pink, and white. The white ranger already knows of Rita and my past. They have been training with Alpha 5 for a little over a year. You will be meeting them today." Zordon responds like its nothing special. The group looks around in shock. "Now lets get back to the task at hand."
Morphing was a complete fail, so Zordon had everyone start training without armor. It was the third day of training and the team was looking a lot better. "When will we meet this white ranger?" Zack asks after practice that day. "Actually they should be here any minute." Alpha says before spawning 10 practice dummies. "Wow that's a lot. Why did you do that?" Kimberly asked. "Zordon like to catch white off guard, says it helps with practice. I don't kno--" "Guys look!" Billy exclaims, cutting of Alpha. The team looks up to see a body moving through the water. When they body gets to the edge of the water they stick there hand out of it and wave to everybody. The team looks around, a little weirded out. Alpha just chuckles, "They always mess around like that before practice." They watch as the hand suddenly stops waving and clenches into a fist. They all watch in awe as their hand get wrapped in white armored gloves. They suddenly drop from the water and start destroying the practice dummies. When they finally defeat the last one they stop and turn to their new teammates. Y/n feels her eyes widen comically when she sees Trini there. While the y/n is panicking over seeing their girlfriend, the team is looking at the mysterious white ranger in shock. "Whoa!" Billy practically yells, "How did you do that? Why does your armor look different from what ours are supposed to look like? Why--" Billy goes to continues but stops after feeling a hand on his shoulder. "Breath Billy." Jason says, "But he's not wrong, why does their suit look different from what ours is supposed to look like?" He asks turning to Alpha 5. "Well unlike your coins, the white ranger coin has been passed down generation to generation in a family. When the eldest child of the white ranger reaches 16 they are given the coin and sent here to train. The last ranger before the one you see before you decided to move to Angel Grove sometime after the coin was passed down because of the threat of Rita. Anyways, since the coin wasn't hidden away it has gotten some updates. Their zord is different too, while you all have dinosaurs the white ranger has a tiger."

(Your power ranger suit and zord)
Trini smiles hearing the word tiger, thinking about how you and her were gonna get a dog together after high school. You had finally agreed to the name Tiger after a long discussion and some... convincing. You watch as Trini smiles and you blush under the helmet, knowing exactly what shes thinking about. You get pulled out of your thoughts as you see the team turn to look back at you. "Oh sorry I guess I should introduce myself." You watch as Trini looks at you in slight confusion before shaking it off, your voice just sounded so familiar to her. At the point, you were sweating buckets. Yeah, Trinis a ranger now but its only been for a couple days. You on the other hand had been keeping this secret since the day you met and you know Trini is big on trust. You just hope she doesn't get too mad and realizes you had to keep it from her like she has to do with everyone else now. You take a deep breath before sticking your hand out. "My name is..." Your helmet disappears, and Trini lets out a gasp in shock, "Y/n?" You just awkwardly chuckle as everyone looks between the 2 of you. "Um yeah, and I'm the white ranger."

FRIENDS FOR A DAY (2)
pair: yeonjun x reader
genre: fluff
word count: 2654
parts: 1 | 2
· · ───────────── ·.☆.· ───────────── · ·
It had been a long time since Yeonjun felt like this. Sometimes life in general had become too much to bear and the things that used to make him happy weren't working for him anymore. Times spent alone slowly became more frequent for him than times he'd spent with his friends.
He'd skipped the first day, not wanting to go back to that routine life just yet. And towards the start of the day, he would never have imagined meeting you and getting to spend the day doing things that strayed far from any of the schedules he'd previously planned. A breath of fresh air was what he liked to call it, and he had you to thank for that.
Unlike him, everything was new to you; a new city, a new school, new people, and a whole new life ahead. Yeonjun felt a little envious after realizing it when you'd talked more about yourselves during lunch, but after seeing how you seemed to enjoy every single second of your little sight seeing endeavor, he thought that maybe he could also be a part of something new in your life.
Best friends.
You had agreed to be his best friend from today onwards; the pendant around your neck serving as proof. Yeonjun finds his hand wandering over to his pocket, holding on to his old necklace.
Half of a star. He'd bought it a few years back. The necklace had a similar purpose with the one he was wearing now— meant to be worn separately by two different people. In his case, he had bought it as a whole and had decided to keep one half of it still in its case, stashed inside his closet. His reasons for purchasing it never really felt clear even to him but he also wouldn't call it an impulsive decision. Yeonjun liked to think that he'd be able to find a use for it in the future.
"Yeonjun." You call for his attention, pointing at the posters plastered on a random shop's wall. "It says that the annual carnival will be opening tonight. Wanna go?"
Yeonjun grins. Opportunities somehow kept showing up right in front of his doorstep. "Yeah, only if you want to though. Afterall, I'm only the tour guide for today."
"Shut up." You hold back a smile. "Have you been there before?"
Yeonjun repeats the question in his mind. As someone one would consider pretty popular, you'd expect him to be no stranger in hanging out at fun places like an annual carnival, but that's just it. Yeonjun had never visited that Carnival once ever since it opened. His friends had asked him to tag along but something about it just never seemed to make him want to.
"No." Yeonjun answers, scratching the back of his head. "If we end up going then this would be my first time too." The first time he'd actually wanted to go.
"I guess we're going then." You grin and Yeonjun finds himself smiling back. "It says here that the Carnival's just around the corner so it'd probably be okay if we just walked there."
"Yeah."
The two of you make your way to the Carnival. You still had a good amount of time left before it opened so a few quick stops at some stalls along the way didn't do any harm.
· · ───────────── ·.☆.· ───────────── · ·
In all honesty, Yeonjun didn't even know when and how he'd ended up holding your hand, laughing his heart off by the time you arrived at the entrance but it all just happened somehow. Was it the when your ice cream cone almost landed straight on his shoe earlier? Or when his hand nearly hit you square in the face when he noticed a bug flying towards you? It could've even been when a group of old ladies started hitting on him at the handbag boutique and all you did was stand there shaking, wanting to laugh your ass off.
No matter what the reason was, he liked this. Somehow, it just felt right.
The two of you pay for the tickets before heading inside. The place was larger than any of you had ever expected, cleaner too. People of all ages were enjoying their carnival experience to the fullest. Children were running around with their guardians following closely behind, couples and groups of friends chatting along and taking pictures— Yeonjun could swear he saw two old men arguing over who gets to take a picture with the mascot first.
"So, which ride do you wanna go on first?" You ask, turning to him.
"Well, how about that one." Yeonjun points at the viking and you feel yourself getting more and more excited.
"NICE—" Before Yeonjun knew it, you were dragging him around to every single ride at the carnival.
You liked to keep count of everytime Yeonjun freaked out while you went on the rides, and Yeonjun liked to do the same. Despite the thrill of being at a carnival keeping you hyped up, there were a few times when you had overestimated your tolerance with being thrown around. Yeonjun nearly puked twice: once at the twister, and a second time on the rollercoaster. Even you were almost a victim by the rollercoaster's loops.
Yeonjun had claimed he was an expert at navigating haunted house attractions, stating, "I've been watching horror movies all my life. Nothing scares me at this point, tbh." True enough, nothing scared Yeonjun except every single ominous decoration and jump scares the haunted house threw at him. You weren't too fond of horror yourself, but you ended up trying to be the brave one after Yeonjun basically clung to you half of the time. It didn't help whenever you freaked out since you ended up losing Yeonjun after he not so subtly abandons you at the slightest suspicious sound. It was a miracle you made it out in one piece.
"Yeah, so, uh, sorry about that." Yeonjun laughs it off the moment you two got out.
"Sure but you should know that I'm never gonna let you live it down." You tell him, smiling widely as you hold up the photos you received from one of the staff. "I got evidence."
Yeonjun snatches the photos from your hands. "Bold of you to assume these'll affect me— oh." It definitely did.
You watch as he slips the photos inside his jacket as if it wasn't obvious enough that he was trying to hide it from you. "Nice try but," You take out another batch of photos and wave it around. "Boom. Two copies."
"Wow, okay."
The two of you ended up laughing at each other before you suggest in trying out the stalls. They say time flies by fast when you're having fun and they couldn't be more right. There had been an unspoken competition between you and Yeonjun of who can win the most prizes and let's just say you weren't about to let yourself lose. By the time you got tired, you had a total of three plushies and a bunch of candy bars stuffed in your pockets and well, Yeonjun had the exact amount of prizes you had.
"Fine. It's a draw for now but only because I'm tired." Yeonjun holds the plushies tighter. "We should really get a bag for this. I wonder if we can get a huge plastic bag somewhere."
"Nah, we can just put em in here." You take off your back pack, opening it wide. "I'm sure it can fit all six of them. They're small enough." You were lucky that they did, finally leaving your hands free.
"Wait." Yeonjun pauses after putting the last of his plushies inside. "How can I be sure you won't just take my plushies for yourself after we leave? I'm pretty easy to distract so—"
"If you forget to get them back then I'll just hand them to you tomorrow at school. You go to HSU too, right?" You tell him.
"Yeah, but how will you contact me?"
"Obviously, we exchange numbers."
Yeonjun blinks. Of course that'd be the simplest solution but still. He'd been talking about staying as friends even after all this but the thought of exchanging numbers hadn't really crossed his mind. He takes out his phone and the two of you quickly added each other as contacts, somehow feeling a bit closer after the exchange.
"While we're at it—" Yeonjun pulls you in closer as he bends down. Only now that you've felt Yeonjun's warmth close to you have you noticed how cold it actually was outside . It takes you a few seconds to register that he wants to take a few selfies.
You bust out a smile and tried to go along with whatever weird faces and poses he did. "Send them to me later." You say after examining the photos. There's one where Yeonjun mimicked a kissing motion near your cheek, making you smile. Who would've expected you two were total strangers up until a few hours ago.
"Got room for one last ride?" Yeonjun asks as you return his phone.
"Yeah, sure. Which one?"
"Don't ask as if you don't know. I'm pretty sure you left this one out on purpose."
Perhaps unconsciously, you did. In every single movie that involved the two characters going to a carnival, for some reason, they always left the Ferris Wheel for last. It's not like you wanted something grand to happen when you ride it, but more like you just wanted to get a good view of the entire carnival before leaving. It seemed like the perfect final attraction.
Yeonjun notices how you've gone quiet and decided to hold your hand, pulling you along. "Let's go before the place closes."
"Okay." You look up at him, nodding.
· · ───────────── ·.☆.· ───────────── · ·
The Ferris Wheel ride wasn't all you had expected it to be. It looked pretty slow in the movies but right now? You were about to puke.
"Yeonjun, wait." You hold on to Yeonjun who was sitting opposite to you.
The Ferris Wheel was going too fast to your liking and you started feeling dizzy. Getting a good view of the carnival seemed impossible at this point and looking at your partner made you even more miserable.
Yeonjun was having the time of his life. He loved the feeling in his stomach whenever the ride went down, and the fact that you were lowkey suffering right in front of him made him laugh even harder.
The speed went on for a few more rounds until it finally slows down. Your heart and probably everything else stilled once the ride came to a complete stop just as your car reached the top. "Thank God. I felt like I was going to die."
"Well, you're safe for now." Yeonjun grins, leaning back in his heat. "You wanted to enjoy the view, right? We'll be stuck here for probably about a minute or two so enjoy it while it lasts."
"Yeah." You smile back, looking outside the window.
The winds were colder up there, reminding you of how warm it felt when you stood close to Yeonjun earlier. Yeonjun catches you warming yourself up with your hands and chuckles. He takes off his jacket and hands it over to you. "Here, put this on."
"Thanks." You quickly put his jacket on. Usually you'd go for the polite route and turn him down but if you were going to continue this friendship business then you weren't about to suffer in the cold when the dude's practically handing you a solution.
Yeonjun gives you a little smile before you continue to admire the view. Down there, the lights almost looked like a sea of stars. The music around the place didn't really help set the mood but somehow, the mixture of it along with the laughter and delightful screams of the other visitors made it feel right. After everything that happened today, you felt like it was the right decision to end the day with this breathtaking sight.
And Yeonjun couldn't agree more. The lights below reflected in your eyes in a way that made the atmosphere lighter. He could tell you were happy and right now, that seemed to be enough for him.
The Ferris Wheel began moving. Yeonjun snickers as he felt you grab for his hand, worried that the ride might throw you off once more, but it didn't. The way down was slow, allowing you to enjoy the ride in peace. Your pendant started to shine, reflecting the lights. It reminded him of everything that happened, from the moment you two met and agreed on a friendship that would last for only a day, up until now where he held your hand on the Ferris Wheel after deciding to be friends for real this time. The pendant became the sole proof of that friendship and Yeonjun couldn't help but wonder if the ones he bought a few years back would truly be of any use in the future. But what would it symbolize for? Who knows, he might just give you the other half.
Your car comes to a stop and the doors open. The realization that the day has officially come to an end left you feeling disappointed. Yeonjun squeezes your hand, bringing your attention to him. He gestures for the two of you to get up and you do, finally stepping back on the ground.
Both you and Yeonjun felt that the way back to the entrance was too fast. It really did seem like the two of you wouldn't see each other again despite the fact you went to the same university. The thought felt silly but that's just how the carnival experience gets to you.
"I guess this is it." Yeonjun speaks up first. "You live pretty far from here, right? I can take you home if you want."
"It's okay. My cousin lives nearby and I texted her earlier that I'd be staying over." You tell him, not wanting him to worry. "How about you? Will you be alright on your own?"
"Yeah, definitely." Yeonjun reassures, holding up his hands. "Oh, and by the way. Is it okay if I leave the plushies on your bag for now? I can't exactly carry them on the way back. If it's ok with you."
"Don't worry. You can just take them back tomorrow." You grin and Yeonjun smiles back. "Also, I'm keeping your jacket for now. I'll return it after I clean it up."
"I can work with that." He shouldn't feel this happy but he did. In a way, he was able to find an excuse to meet up with you tomorrow without things getting awkward. Maybe this friendship could work out afterall.
"Thanks for today. Honestly, this was the most fun I've had ever since I got here." You say, taking one last look at him.
I should be the one to thank you. "You know, I have a lot of things I wanna say to you right now but I think I'm gonna wait until I feel like it."
"Huh?"
"Nothing. I'll text you later." Yeonjun gives you a quick pat on the shoulder before running off to the opposite direction. "See you at school! And don't forget to bring the kids!"
You raise a brow. Did he just refer to the plushies as his kids?
He felt dumb, running away from you. The longer he stayed, the more he had trouble leaving, which was new for him. It's been a while since he actually found someone he'd like to hang out with and he was having trouble controlling his excitement. Soon, you'd be able to visit each other's houses, hang out more freely, talk about your days as if it were nothing, and get to know each other more. Honestly speaking, Yeonjun couldn't wait for that day to come but I guess he'll just have to start with tomorrow.

Pt.7: Stifling priorities
🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
Word count: 5.809
With an amused smile on your lips, you watch how Jimin's head whips around in surprise when he reads your message. His eyes scan the crowd of drunk students that formed on the improvised dance floor in the middle of the living room in an almost overly eager attempt to spot you, but you're purposely standing in a part of the room that's just dark enough to hide you from his view. It's funny, really. It didn't even take you a minute to find him after you walked in.
Your eyes were immediately drawn to him, like it's the most natural thing in the world and you wonder if it's because of his stunning looks that have most girls instantly pining after him, or if it's actually because of the way he makes you feel. You bite the inside of your cheek at the thought. Suddenly, you're not so sure if it was the best decision to show up here. The girl he made out with just a few moments ago leans over to say something in his ear, probably asking what's going on, but slowly takes a step back when he dismisses her with a quick shake of his head.
She's beautiful, you notice. Her curves are something out of a fashion magazine and her flawless skin is almost glowing under the dim lighting of the room. Comparing yourself to her could make even you insecure and you can't help but shift subconsciously when she runs a hand through her long hair, exposing more of her cleavage in the process. Even though you don't like to admit it, it's flattering that Jimin's ignoring someone like her for you. The moment Jimin's searching eyes turn in your direction, you panic and hurriedly look down at your phone to distract him with another text. Not that you’re trying to avoid him or anything, it’s just… you are.
You don’t know why you even agreed to showing up in the first place. You’re really not the biggest fan of loud and crowded places and the smell of alcohol mixed with sweat and underlying traces of vomit makes your stomach churn in an unpleasant way. Not even your best friend of fourteen years has usually much luck with convincing you to go to parties like this, but with Jimin asking in his slightly pouty and clingy way you just didn’t have it in you to say no.
The second you saw Jimin having fun on his own with some random girl though, you regretted your decision instantly. You’re not jealous, of course. You don’t have any reason nor right to be. But the fact that you actually felt bad for rejecting his invitation and fought yourself out of the comfort of your fluffy blanket in favor of meeting him, just for him to spend his time shoving his tongue down another girl’s throat makes you mad at yourself for even caring.
Despite your first instinct to turn on your heels and leave to go back to the cozy blanket fort waiting for you at home, you find yourself more interested in Jimin’s reactions and patiently stand there, waiting for his next move. It really makes no sense to you how persistent he is with wanting to see you. The girl was literally just five seconds from shoving her hand down his pants and yet here he is, asking you where you are.
You’re not at all insecure about your looks when it comes to the possibility of guys being attracted to you, in fact, you know you could be considered pretty by most standards. But from Jimin’s point of view, with a beautiful girl almost begging for his attention, it’s hard to imagine you being his number one priority right now. Especially since you already told him you’re not interested in fooling around. Is he trying to prove a point? He must be, right? Maybe your rejection hurt his ego and now he wants to show you he's worth your time by putting you over his next potential one-night-stand.
Sad thing is, it's actually working. You can't help but to be impressed by the effort he puts into wooing you, despite the fact that you told him the only thing you want from him is his friendship. There's something about him that intrigues you and you want to slap yourself for the warmth spreading on your cheeks every time he says or does something unexpectedly sweet, catching you off guard with his bluntness.
It’s far more difficult to put a stop to his flirting than you originally thought it would be and, allowing yourself to be completely honest for a second, you enjoy having his eyes on you every once in a while. Maybe you should cut him some slack and go on a date with him? That way, you’ll be able to prove to him that you’re not a good choice for a love interest. Even if you do end up sleeping with him, at least he’ll probably be satisfied with winning you over and you both can finally treat each other as friends.
Woah... were you... actually just thinking that? No. No way in hell. You can't let that happen. You're just friends. He might be cute and you might be a little more attracted to him than you want to admit but who can blame you? He's gorgeous and so much fun to be around and you both just seem to get each other, like you've been friends for ages when in reality, it's only been a few days. It's just a little crush because he's giving you attention, that's it. You won't let it sway you in a decision you made years ago just because he makes your heart flutter from time to time.
You're not meant to be with someone like him, in any way, and he'll have to accept it sooner or later. No dates. No fucking. No attachment. Period. Honestly, it shouldn’t even bother you this much. He’s a cute fuckboy looking for a good time and while it seems unusual to you how invested he is in getting to know you, he’s probably like this with everyone.
Shaking your head at your own ridiculous thoughts, you grin to yourself as you read Jimin’s last message before you start walking in the general direction of where you believe the kitchen to be. Your eyes casually scan the crowd around you in search for familiar faces while you’re trying to coordinate your way through the mass of socalizing students. Suji and Taehyung should be around here somewhere.
God, Suji is going to complain about you not telling her you’d come here as soon as she sees you, you just know it. You reject her most of the time when she offers to go out partying, so you probably won’t hear the end of it for a while. Still, you can’t just leave without at least checking up on how she’s doing. You’re here now anyway, so you’re going to make the most of the night.
It amazes you every time how many people are able to fit into the smallest of places when it comes to free alcohol and the chances of potential hook-ups. There’s even more students once you enter the kitchen and you have to gently shove your way up to the counter, apologizing from time to time when your hands accidentally touch body parts they’re definitely not supposed to touch. ‘Y/N?!’ A low voice suddenly sounds from somewhere to your right.
Thankfully, the booming music coming from the next room is somewhat subdued through the walls, so you don’t have to scream while talking and hearing your name being called you turn in surprise. After searching around for a moment you spot Taehyung only a few meters away, trying to get a better look at you over the heads of the people between you by standing on his tiptoes. Once you make eye contact, he excitedly waves at you and starts to make his way over to wrap his arms around you in a warm hug that you immediately return.
‘It really is you! I’m so glad you made it! Did you just come?’ The bright smile he gives you makes you grin as well and you automatically reach up to ruffle his hair with one hand before nodding at his question. ‘Yeah, I just came. I was actually looking for you to say hi! You know where Suji is?’ He grins even wider at your response and pulls you closer to his chest when someone pushes past you two. ‘Knowing her she’s probably off dancing somewhere. Want me to come with you to look for her?’ Shaking your head no with a smile, you point behind you instead. ‘I’m gonna get a drink first. Care to join me?’
As expected, there’s no need to ask Taehyung twice. He pulls you after him to your new set destination and grabs a clean solo cup on his way before pausing to look at you expectantly. Realizing what he’s waiting for, you just shrug and wave in the general direction of all the different bottles scattered around. ‘Surprise me,’ you say and while he turns his attention to his task at hand, you hop onto the counter, letting your legs dangle lazily as you wait for your friend to hand you your drink.
Your right wrist slightly protests from the pressure you put on it when you jumped up and you subconsciously reach up to massage it with your free hand to ease the familiar ache. ‘Did you see Jeonggukie already?’ Looking up from the ripped material of your jeans, you nod at the question and give the man next to you an amused grin.
‘Jup, he’s the one who let me in. I felt kind of bad because the present I got him was pretty much last minute but he said he liked it, so I guess we’re good.’ The acting major laughs at your answer and comes over to lean next to you against the counter, his elbows resting on it’s surface. ‘I think you’re the only one who actually got him a gift. Half of the people here probably don’t even know Gguk. They’re just here for the fun.’ You furrow your eyebrows at that but then shrug and accept the cup Taehyung holds out to you. Taking a sip, you hum in approval of Taehyung’s choice when the sweet tasting liquid leaves a pleasant burn at the back of your throat.
You’re able to talk for maybe another minute before one of Taehyung’s many friends from around campus shows up to start a conversation with him out of nowhere. After listening in for a bit, you realize what they’re saying is not really your business but you’re also not in the mood to go and search for Suji yet, so you find yourself scrolling through your phone instead. You’re so caught up in what you’re doing, you don’t even notice the arms sneaking around your waist until you’re being pulled forward to the edge of the counter. Gasping in surprise at the sudden movement, you let your hands find purchase on the firm chest in front of you, your phone falling into your lap in the process.
It takes you a second to realize what’s happening but when you finally look up, ready to give the guy a piece of your mind for touching you without your permission, the words immediately die in your throat. Jimin smiles so brightly his eyes form into little crescendents and you go soft at the adorable sight instantly. He carefully places his hands on either side of your hips before slowly leaning in to murmur in your ear. ‘Found you, princess.’
The husky tone of his voice sends a pleasant shiver down your spine and you take your time to come up with a response, just to make sure your own voice won’t fail you once you speak up. When he draws back to look at you, his lips are pulled into a knowing smirk. The dancer slightly squeezes your hips in a teasing manner and steps closer to stand in between your parted legs, obviously growing more confident since you don't seem to mind his touch on you.
You hate how smug he looks because of your reaction but you can’t deny that you’re happy he actually came to see you, so you decide not to comment on it for now. ‘You sound awfully happy right now,’ you say instead and raise one eyebrow in question when he nods enthusiastically, the cute smile from before making it’s way back onto his features.
‘Well, that’s because I am. I thought I wouldn’t be able to see you tonight but now you’re here. Did you change your mind because of me?’ There’s an alarm going off in your head at the question and you know you shouldn’t give him any reason to think his opinion matters to you in some way, but seeing the anticipation flickering in his eyes you can’t bring yourself to just blatantly lie to him. God, he’s going to be the death of you someday.
‘You seemed genuinely disappointed when I said I wouldn’t come and I guess I kinda did promise you to show up. I hate to go back on my word, that’s why I decided to come’, you answer truthfully. Jimin’s eyes soften at your words and once again, you find yourself wondering what he might be thinking. His hands casually slide from your hips down to your hands still resting on his chest and you watch in silence as you let him intertwine his fingers with yours. 'That's more than enough for now,' he mumbles with a fond smile grazing his plump lips.
You’re both quiet for a moment, just looking down at your interlaced hands while Jimin gently brushes his thumbs over your knuckles one at a time. The gesture feels oddly intimate for some reason and not knowing what has gotten into him, you hesitantly squeeze Jimin’s hands to get him to stop when it becomes too much. He immediately lets up his movements but he doesn't let go, just gazes up at you through strands of his hair.
Your heart jumps in an unwelcome and irritating way at the intense look in his eyes and when he suddenly opens his mouth to say something, you shake your head so softly it's almost not visible. You don't even know what you're trying to tell him yourself, but Jimin seems to understand nonetheless. He tilts his head to one side to observe you for a bit before he gives you a reassuring smile and loosens his grip on your fingers to place his hands back on both sides of your waist.
And just like that the flirtatious smirk is back on Jimin's features, making you question if the last few minutes even happened in the first place. 'Come dance with me, y/n~' The suggestive tone of his voice has you bashfully rolling your eyes at him before he’s even done talking. Before you can dismiss his idea though, he already pulls you further against him in an attempt to get you to stand up and your body immediately goes stiff underneath his teasing grip.
Sensing something is off, he furrows his eyebrows in confusion and regards you with a sceptical look. 'Sorry, it's just... I don't dance. Let's do something else instead?' You offer and the boy chuckles in amusement. 'You're not feeling shy, are you? Don't worry if you're not the best on the dance floor. It's about having fun anyway and with me next to you, there's no way you'll look bad.' His cocky attitude has you dying to tell him just exactly how wrong his assumption about your dancing skills is, but you have a feeling that he most definitely won't let you talk yourself out of it if he knows.
So instead you just click your tongue in fake defiance and slap his shoulder with one hand playfully. 'Oh no, you got it all wrong. I can dance. I just don't do it.' Jimin bites his bottom lip to suppress a smile when you pout at him and you notice him mindlessly tugging at the hem of your shirt, but it's so innocent you don't really feel the need to call him out for it. 'Is what all people say who can't dance,' the blonde retorts and you snort in disbelief at his cheekiness.
'You seem to be so sure of yourself there, Jimin.' The teasing edge to your voice doesn't go unnoticed by him and something flashes in his eyes, a wide grin spreading over his face. 'Prove me wrong, then.' It's dangerous how easily you find yourself wanting to please him, you think. Things that scared you for the longest time seem so harmless with him encouraging you to do them.
All it takes is his sweet voice asking you to dance and suddenly, instead of dreading the thought of going out there and letting your body remember all the movements you've been so desperately trying to forget over the last three years, you actually find yourself considering it. You know you're going to enjoy it, after all. Even if just for tonight.
The moment of weakness is gone almost as quickly as it came though and so you slowly move back to sit as far away from the edge of the counter as Jimin's hold on your waist allows you to, ignoring the sad puppy dog eyes he sends your way. 'You're making it sound like I should feel the need to prove you wrong. I know I can dance. Whether you believe me or not is not really my problem.' The man in front of you groans in defeat at your answer and immediately steps forward to close the distance you just created between you both.
'Alright, you win. No dancing for now. Maybe later, though?' The cute pout that forms on his lips while he's saying it makes you smile involuntarily and you don't even realize you're trying to comfort him by brushing your hand through his soft hair until he subtly leans into your touch to feel more of it. 'Yeah... maybe later,' you agree, well aware that there most likely won't be a later at all. Jimin goes back to observing you for another minute, as if trying to understand what's going on inside your head. There's an unreadable expression on his face and you shift awkwardly under his calculating gaze when his eyes never once leave yours for even a second.
'So...' he says to break the silence before it starts to feel uncomfortable. 'Is there a reason you don't want to do it? Dance, I mean. Or are you just trying to avoid touching me, because you know how it'll make you feel, hmm?' Jimin lets his hands slide down your waist to rest them on both your thighs instead as if trying to further emphasize his point and you bite the inside of your cheek in thought before nodding slightly.
'That's certainly one reason.' Your honesty obviously catches him off guard for a moment, if the surprise written all over his face serves as any kind of indication. Shrugging nonchalantly at his raised eyebrows you poke his nose with your index finger, making him scrunch his face cutely, before placing your hands on his shouders to relax a bit more in his hold.
'Well... it's been a long time since I last danced, you know? And I promised myself back then that I wouldn't do it anymore. Ever.' Tilting his head to one side he waits for you to continue but when you don’t speak up again he sighs and starts to softly massage your thighs in silent comfort. His fingers slip underneath the cuts of your jeans and when you don’t push him away he lets them brush over your sensitive skin almost coyly. 'Were you embarrassed?' The sympathy coloring his words melts you heart.
You tenderly lean your forhead against his and close your eyes to simply enjoy his warmth for a moment without thinking. Were you embarrassed? Well, telling your teacher of fifteen years that you would have to give up on your scholarship because your bones will slowly but surely degenerate to the point where you won’t even be able to stand by probably the end of fourty was kind of embarrassing. Although, more humiliating if you’re being honest. 'Something like that,' you say with a chuckle before reculantly leaning back again to look at him.
'Mhm... I think I get it. I'm always free for you if you decide to try again, though! Maybe you're just in need of the right partner, who knows?’ There’s an almost childlike innocence in the way he says it, completely different from what you would have expected those words to sound like coming from him. Jimin’s smile widens when you move to brush some loose strands of hair out of his face and start to lovingly pat his head afterward as if to reward him for his words. You roll your eyes at him, an amused smile playing on your own lips as well. 'Thanks Chim, I really appreciate it.'
The grip on your legs suddenly tightens after what you just said. Surprised by the unexpected display of possessiveness you raise an eyebrow at him in question. 'What?' The man in front of you is silent for a while and just looks at you with a small grin on his face that slowly stretches into a self-satisfied smirk.
'You gave me a pet name, princess! Guess I’m finally starting to get under skin after all.' The confidence radiating off of him makes you let out a huff in faked annoyance. Cheeky bastard. He’s getting too comfortable around you far too quickly for your liking. And so are you. Shit. If you keep giving him opportunities to tease you like this, you’ll never get him to lose interest.
'Why of course. I'm absolutely smitten,' you shoot back, determined to let your voice sound as sarcastic as you possibly can in hopes of irritating him, but he just smirks wider. Seriously, how are you supposed to not fall for him if he’s so frustratingly handsome all the damn time? This is ridiculous. What on earth do you have to do to get him to stop flirting with you for fuck’s sake? Tell him you’re gay? Commit a crime? Show him a picture of your brother and pretend he’s your boyfriend? Because you’re so close to actually giving it a shot if there’s a chance that it’s going to work.
Jimin hums in content as if he doesn’t notice the displeased grimace you make at him. 'Well, if you don't wanna dance with me...' He suddenly leans in even closer until his nose softly brushes against yours and the amused glint in his dark eyes tells you he’s probably up to something silly. One of his hands leaves your thigh to reach behind you but when you open your mouth to ask what he’s doing, he’s already leaning back to hold your cup out to you. ‘… then you should at least drink with me.'
Sighing in defeat, you take the cup from him and take a large sip without complaint before handing it back to him in invitation. If he’s trying to get you drunk enough so you’ll agree to dance with him, then you’re definitely going to return the favor. The tips of his fingers brush against your knuckles when he takes the cup from your hand, sending a pleasant shiver down your spine in the process. Turning the cup in his hand as if thinking about something he guides it to his plump lips after a moment, his eyes never leaving you and you have to stop yourself from fidgeting with how flustered it makes you for some stupid reason.
'Ohhh that's an indirect kiss, guys!' The sudden voice makes you jump a bit in surprise and when you look in the direction of where it came from, you see Taehyung walking up to you with a big grin on his face. Jimin chuckles at his words before he greets his best friend with a pat on his shoulder instead of their usual hug, not bothering to leave his position between your thighs. Amused by the confident smirk he’s wearing because of the kissing comment, you click your tongue and casually wrap your legs around his waist, making Jimin snap his head back to you, puzzled.
'That's probably the closest he'll ever get to touching my lips with his, so I guess I'll let him feel good about it,' you say dryly while you cross your ankles behind him to cage him in. He stares at you with his mouth standing slightly open from surprise at your sudden change of attitude and you definitely see him blush a bit when you look up to observe his face. He’s quick to recover though, sliding his arms around you to pull you into him even more only a few seconds later. 'Is it just me or did you sound less sure about yourself than last time?' The dancer grins at you with his bottom lip caught between his teeth and you would find it endearing if not for the husky tone of his voice.
You both look at each other in amusement until Taehyung clears his throat to get your attention. ‘You guys wanna be alone for a minute or are we gonna go over and play some games?’ The knowing look your fellow actor throws your way makes you shrug your shoulders casually. ‘Sure, lets go. I need to find Suji anyway.’ Jimin reculantly takes a step back when you unwrap your legs from around his waist and tap one of his arms to get him to move. You let him help you get off the counter and don’t complain when he silently wraps his arm around you as you follow your shared friend into the living room.
With Taehyung by your side, it doesn’t take long until you’re involved in half the drinking games going on at the party. Normally, you’re pretty decent when it comes to holding your liquor, but even you need to sit back and take a break every now and then with the amount of cups that are handed out your way. Somewhere along the lines Suji joins the fun as well, bringing friends of her own with her. She’s far too gone to make a fuss over you being there and for once, you thank your lucky stars for her inability to hold herself back at parties.
You’re actually enjoying yourself more than you originally thought you would. Being able to relax and goof around with your two best friends like this, you’re suddenly glad you decided to come. It’s been a while since you’ve seen them drunk and you make a mental note to maybe come with them a bit more often in the future. For blackmail purposes, of course. Jimin doesn’t leave your side for the whole length of the night and with time you even start missing the warmth of his touch when he has to drop his arm from around you in favor of his turn at a game. It’s just the slight buzz in your head that has you clinging to him like this. Being tipsy always makes you a bit needy. That’s what you tell yourself, anyway.
A few hours in and now you’re all sprawled out on the couches on one side of the living room to take a break from drinking. You’re leaning against Jimin’s side while scrolling through your phone, your head resting on his shoulder and his hand casually resting on your thigh. Feeling your eyes getting a little droopy you finally decide it's time for you to leave. It's far too comfortable being cuddled up to Jimin like this and you don't want to risk falling asleep at someone else's dorm.
Poking at his leg lazily to get his attention, you're just about to warn Jimin that you want to get up when suddenly a random girl comes up to where you guys are sitting. You squint your eyes at her in concentration, feeling like you should know her from somewhere. Maybe she's one of Suji's classmates? She asks if someone wants to join her on the dance floor since most of her friends are too wasted to go and you don't miss the way Jimin slightly perks up beside you at the question.
And as you would have expected, Suji is up on her feet in seconds at the prospect of dancing, although she's already swaying a bit from jumping up so fast. You roll your eyes at her antics with a fond smile. ‘Hell yeah! I’m in, guys let’s go go go,’ she slurs and grabs Hoseok’s arm to drag him after her to the dance floor giddily, without even waiting for anyone else to join in. Her friend just lets her do as she pleases and stumbles after her with a surprised laugh.
The stranger giggles cutely at her enthusiasm and then looks back over to your spot on the couch as if hoping you’ll agree as well. You observe her out of the corner of your eyes while taking a sip off your drink and finally notice it’s the same girl you saw dancing with Jimin when you first came to the dorms. ‘What about you guys?’ She bites her lip while shyly watching Jimin for his reaction and it’s more than obvious the question is only meant for him, not you. You chuckle in amusement and smirk at her knowingly before slightly pushing the dancer in her direction.
‘Sure, he’s free right now,’ you answer for him, making the blonde look at you in bewilderment. ‘I am?’ He raises an eyebrow at you in confusion and repositions himself next to you on the couch as if to prove your statement wrong. Rolling your eyes at him, you playfully nudge his shoulder with yours before nodding your head. ‘I’m not blind, you know? You’ve been waiting for a chance to go back to dancing for hours now and we both know I won’t do you the favor. I think I’m gonna call it a night anyway. Just go and have fun with her. She really wants to.’
It’s not actually the prospect of them dancing what you’re referring to and judging from the look in his eyes, he knows it too. There’s something about the way he stares at you that you can’t quite place. He almost looks… disappointed about your casual reaction to the possibility of him leaving with another girl. ‘Then what about you?’ Narrowing your gaze at his question you tilt your head to one side, not really understanding what he’s getting at. ‘What about me?’
Jimin’s jaw visibly tightens in irritation and you don't need to be an empath to realize that he's getting impatient with you. You subconsciously press your thighs together when you see something similar to anger flash in his dark eyes for a second. ‘You drank quite a bit and your apartment is a few blocks away. So if you want me to leave you here, I need to know someone else is bringing you home or I’m going to do it myself.’
The concern coloring his voice catches you off guard. You didn't even think about asking someone to walk you home because you're usually the one who gets called at three in the morning to play taxi driver, not the other way around. There's a knot forming inside your throat when you realize Jimin actually cares for your well-being and you lick your lips absentmindedly while you think of something to say. ‘It’s not like I’m too drunk to walk by myself or anything…’, is the first thing you can come up with in your slightly hazy state but the warning squeeze of Jimin’s hand on your knee shuts you up instantly. When the fuck did he even put it there? And why is it suddenly so hot in here?
Your breath hitches when he grabs your face with one hand carefully to make you look at him and you curse yourself for being so pliant under his touch. Maybe you’re really more intoxicated than you originally thought. Jimin leans in close until you can feel his warm breath on your slightly sweaty skin and he scoffs, unamused, when you try to squirm away from the attention. ‘It’s enough to have you slurring your words, so don’t argue with me here, princess.’
Mumbling something that’s supposed to sound like an apology, you bite your bottom lip in thought and look up into his eyes before you wrap your fingers around his wrist in determination to get him to loosen his grip on your chin. After hesitating for a moment he finally backs off and you almost sigh in relief when the distance he puts in between you two makes you feel like you can breathe again.
Looking to the side to avoid Jimin’s piercing eyes, you spot Taehyung and Seokjin cuddled up on one of the other couches and a victorious smile spreads on your lips. ‘Don’t worry about me. Seokjin will take me home. His apartment is in the same area as mine anyway.’ Jimin follows your gaze over to your shared friends and looking back at him you see the gears turning in his head, as if he’s searching for another reason to disagree with you again.
‘It’s really fine, you know?’ You try again and when his gaze shifts between you and the still patiently waiting girl a few feet away, you know he’s done arguing. ‘Text me when you get home, alright?’ The strained tone of his voice doesn't allow any disagreement and so you just nod your head and lean in to give him an appreciative hug. He hugs you back twice as hard before he leaves a kiss on your forhead and leans back to look at you with a smile. 'Take care, y/n.'
'You too,' you mumble while he stands up to walk over to the girl waiting for him, whose smile is so wide you think her jaw is going to fall off any second. Sighing to yourself, you ignore the strange feeling in your chest while you watch Jimin put an arm around her waist on their way to the dance floor. And if you regret your choice to send him off with some random girl instead of letting him take you home, well, nobody else is ever going to know that.

Problematic Atlas Quotes: Volumes 1-3
Tumblr media
All of the places on Remnant put together have not produced as many jarring incongruities and mixed messages as Atlas. These are all quotes relating to Atlas that really stood out to me at the time and have stayed with me since.
Volume 1
Penny: I am combat ready! (Yeah, but are you ready for anything else? And who would send out a cute girl robot who was ONLY ready for combat?)
Weiss: The innocent never run, Yang! (Karmic law says that one will come back to bite your ass, Weiss.)
Penny: I don't have a lot of friends, but if I did, I would want them to talk to me about things. (We haven't seen this one come back around to Penny yet. Blake, yes. Penny, no.)
Volume 2
Ironwood: But ask yourself this: Do you honestly believe your children can win a war?
Ozpin: I hope they never have to. (Note that Ozpin believes they can. It's having to fight he considers a failure. Later revelations would make his view even more tragic.)
Ruby: But why not let us know you were okay?
Penny: I... was asked not to talk to you. Or Weiss. Or Blake. Or Yang. Anybody, really.
Ruby: Was your dad that upset?
Penny: No, it wasn't my father... (Ironwood speaks next. An early sign of Ironwood's controlling nature.)
Penny: I'm the world's first synthetic person capable of generating an Aura. (Tell me more.)
Penny: One day, it will be my job to save the world (The whole world? Seriously, tell me more.)
Penny: It's okay, Ruby. They're not bad people; I just don't want to get you in trouble. (And why would talking to you get Ruby in trouble? And why send her to a festival that encourages students to talk to each other if you won't let her talk?)
Penny: Just promise me you won't tell anyone else my secret. Okay?
Ruby: I promise.(If she HAD told Pyrrha, the whole debacle might not have happened. Will this come up again?)
Roman: As some of you may have heard, this right here... (Taps the giant mech) ...is Atlas's newest defense against all the scary things in the world. And thanks to my "employer", we've managed to snag a few before they, uh, "hit the shelves".  (Damn, Atlas, y'all got a lot worse security problems than Ruby.)
(The image of Penny dancing by herself at the ball surrounded by uniformed guards. Say what?)
Ironwood: Ruby, I feel it's appropriate to let you know that I think what you did last night is exactly what being a Huntress is all about. You recognized a threat. You took action. And you did the very best you could. (Ah well, that's nice. Doesn't entirely fit in with the rest of your character James, but it's nice.)
Ruby: Wait. You think this girl is connected to Torchwick and the White Fang?
Ozpin: It's possible. But we still lack the required evidence to link the two together.
Ruby: Actually, I... I think I remember her saying something about a hideout, or something, in the southeast. Just outside the Kingdom.
Ozpin: Interesting.
Glynda: I thought you said the intruder never—
Ozpin: Thank you for your cooperation, Ruby. Why don't you go and spend some time with your team? You have a big day ahead of you.
Ruby: Any time.
Ozpin: And Miss Rose, please try and be ... discreet about this matter.
Ruby: Yes sir. (This tells Ironwood several things. It tells him that Ruby will lie for Ozpin, that Ozpin will cover up Ruby's lie to protect her, and most importantly that Ruby and Ozpin TRUST EACH OTHER.)
Glynda: Why must your answer to everything involve a triumphant display of military bravado!? You treat every situation like it's a contest of measuring di—!
Ozpin: Glynda!
Glynda: Well, he does. (Tell me more, Glynda.)
Ozpin: You're a general, James. So tell me, when you prepare to go to war, which do you send in first? The flag bearers, or the scouts? (Why is a civilian Headmaster schooling a general with a lesson taught to greenhorn Lieutenants? And why does he have to?)
Ozpin:  We fought for countless reasons, one of which being the destruction of all forms of art and self-expression. (SOME kingdom has control issues.)
Glynda: You're a good person, James. You've always done what you think is best for the people, even against strong protest. It's admirable. But it's high time you stopped talking about trust and started showing it. (So Ironwood's trust issues are not new. Tell me more.)
Councilman 1: You've left us no choice! The Vytal Festival tournament cannot be broadcast, let alone held, if we are unable to ensure the safety of the citizens.
Councilman 1: Ahem... Therefore, we have reached out to the Atlas Council and together have decided that the best action is to appoint General Ironwood as head of security for the event.
Ironwood: Thank you, Councilman. Our Kingdom is happy to lend as many troops as it takes to ensure that the event runs smoothly and safely as possible.
Councilman 1: And we thank you, General.
Ozpin: Will that be all?
Councilman 1: For now. But after this festival comes to a close, we are going to have a serious discussion about your position at Beacon Academy. General Ironwood's reports over the last few weeks have left us somewhat... concerned. I am sure you understand.
Ironwood: This is the right move, Ozpin. I promise, I will keep our people safe, you have to trust me.(Damn dude, what did Glynda just say about trusting people? And why do you expect Ozpin to trust you when you clearly have tattled behind his back?)
Ironwood: You brought this on yourself. (Yeah, he did. By trusting you.)
Volume 3
I have already written a detailed post on the vast discrepancies between how Winter Schnee behaves and what she is trying to convey in her first scenes, titled "Snowbirds of a Feather". Suffice to say Ironwood isn't the only Atlesian sending mixed messages.
Ironwood: If you were one of my men, I would have you shot!
Qrow: If I was one of your men, I'd shoot myself.(So y'all have an acrimonious history as well. Okay.)
Goodwitch: While I wouldn't condone his behavior, retaliating like you did certainly didn't help the situation. ("Call yourself a grown-up? I've seen better behavior from first-year students! Why do I even have to say anything to you? Don't answer that.")
Qrow: You sent me to get intel on our enemy, and I'm telling you, our enemy is here.
Ironwood: We know.
Qrow: Oh! Oh, you know! Well, thank goodness I'm out there risking my life to keep you all informed!
Ironwood:Qrow-
Qrow: Communication's a two-way street, pal. You see this? That's the SEND button.
Winter: They had reason to assume you'd been compromised. (So, Ironwood, explain to me WHY, if you seriously think Qrow has been compromised, you haven't brought it up with HIS BOSS before now? Isn't that information kind of important?)
Qrow: Despite what the world thinks, we're not just teachers, or generals, or headmasters. The people in this room, the leaders of the other two academies, we're the ones that keep the world safe from the evils no one even knows about! It's why we meet behind closed doors, why we work in the shadows. So you tell me, James, when you brought your army to Vale, did you think you were being discreet, or did you just not give a damn!?
Ironwood: Discreet wasn't working. (Explain.)
I'm here because this is what was necessary. (Explain.)
Qrow: You're here because Ozpin wanted you here! (Is it just me, or does anyone else think this sounds like it was an unpopular decision?)
Ciel: Ruby Rose. 15. Hails from Patch. Leader of Team RWBY. Status: Questionable. (Daaaammmn son. We need to talk. You ordered a full background check on a teenage girl just because she talked to your android? And then you gave it to your android's handler? And on top of all that, a gifted honor student from a multigenerational Huntsmen family who leads Beacon's first-year star team, who Ozpin clearly trusts, only rates as "Questionable"? Who doesn't rate as "Questionable"? Oh that's right. Qrow is also "Questionable", and so is Ozpin. Tell me, do you rate yourself as "Questionable"?)
Ciel: Penny? I believe it is best if we move on to our next location.
Penny: Could we have just a minute to talk? (No seriously, is Penny now not allowed any free time?)
Ciel: It's been precisely one minute, ma'am.(Apparently not.)
Penny: Ruby, there's something I've been wanting to talk to you about. I want to stay at Beacon.
Ruby: Penny, they'll never let you do that.
Penny: I know, but I have a plan.(Tell me more.)
Yang: You're from Atlas. What could we expect?
Weiss: Well, seeing as their Kingdom, academy and armed forces are all merged as one, I think we can expect strict, militant fighters with advanced technology and carefully rehearsed strategies.  ... Or whatever they are.(So even other Atlesians think Atlesians send mixed messages.)
Ironwood: For the past few years, Atlas has been studying Aura from a more scientific standpoint; how it works, what's it made of, how it can be used. We've made... significant strides. And we believe we've found a way to capture it.
Qrow: Capture it and cram it into something else. (Dude, exactly WHERE did Penny's Aura come from?)
Ironwood: What I believe and hope this to be is nothing more than the result of stress and adrenaline. When you're out on the battlefield, your judgment can become clouded in an instant. Sometimes you see things that simply aren't there. Even after the fight is past... (That answers that question. You don't trust yourself either. What happened to you?)
Ironwood: Ozpin, the girl... I-I can explain! (You've got a full scale Grimm invasion going on and you're more terrified of OZPIN? What did you do to create Penny, James? How ELSE have you betrayed Oz?)
Ironwood: Qrow! This isn't my doing! (Why did you automatically assume Qrow is attacking you instead of looking behind you? Guilt?)
This post is long enough already, so I'll finish later. While I may be overreacting to some of these statements, that doesn't explain all of them. It's looked from the beginning like there was something fishy going on in Atlas, especially having to do with Ironwood.

masterlist
Tumblr media
"Wait, so you're saying, Choi Seungcheol, aka Mr. Boy I Loved # 12, volunteered to help you retrieve your letters back?" Jiyeon asked in disbelief before taking a sip on her carton of milk.
"I know right! God, I don't know what went inside his head for him to decide to help me," you groaned, "What if he's just doing it to make fun of me?" With a whine, you buried your face in your arms.
"I doubt it," you heard Hyerim respond from behind you. Tray in hand, she makes her way towards Jiyeon and takes a seat beside her, "I think he's gonna expose you to his friends first, before making fun of you."
You threw your crumpled trash at her and shot her a glare, "I hate you," once again, you let yourself drown in your arms.
"I'm only joking," Hyerim laughs, "Besides, Seungcheol really is a nice guy. I'm sure he's genuine in trying to help you," you could hear Jiyeon hum in agreement.
You let out a huff, "I hope you're right— I have to meet up with him in a while," you took a glance at your watch— ten minutes until you and Seungcheol had to meet. He agreed to give you back your letter, and afterwards, the both of you were to formulate a plan on how to retrieve the rest.
"Uh oh, you better head out then," Jiyeon remarked, "I could see one of your ex obsessions breaching the perimeter," she nudged her head at one of the cafeteria tables. You slowly turned your head towards the direction, letting out a groan upon seeing your editor-in-chief, Jeon Wonwoo. If he won't confront me about the letter, then he's definitely gonna kill me for not heading to the clubroom yesterday— none of which I'd like to experience just yet.
You grabbed your bag in a rush and stood up, "I'll see you guys later," you bid your friends farewell before briskly walking towards the cafeteria's exit, hoping that the male didn't see you.
You let out a sigh of relief once you reached the hallway. You heard a buzz coming from you pocket and you assumed that was Seungcheol.
[seungcheol: hey im at the tables outside. where are you]
[you: im omw, had to deal with sth just now]
Tumblr media
You finally arrived at your destination. You scanned the area for any sight of the male, and you managed to spot him sitting on one of the tables at the far end, tapping away on his phone.
[you: im here]
Immediately, he looked up from his phone. A large smile appeared on his face upon meeting your eyes. He waved his hand, beckoning you to come over, and you followed. You could feel a slight tinge of nervousness as you neared closer to the male.
"Hey," Seungcheol greeted you, a grin on his face and you offered him a tight lipped smile in response. His happy expression morphed into a frown, "What? You still don't trust me?" He pouted.
"It's— It's not that," you bit your lip, looking away from the male, "I'm just embarrassed— that's all," you heard him chuckle at your explanation, causing you to glare at him. He patted his hand on the chair beside him, urging you to take a seat. The glare on your face was still present as you sat down.
"No need to be embarrassed, Y/N, it's all in the past," Seungcheol opened his bag, his hand reaching in for something. In one swift motion, he pulls out your letter, "Here," he smiles at you, "I'm sure you've been wanting to get your hands on this."
Letting out a small shriek, you snatch the object from his grasp, "Oh my god, my baby—" you bring the letter to your chest, a relieved sigh escaping your lips. You stay in that position for a while, not paying any attention to the male that's been looking at you with a small smile on his face the entire time.
"Damn, I knew it was important to you , but I didn't know it meant that much," Seungcheol's voice interrupts your mini-episode. You sneered, "Of course, you wouldn't know," you stayed silent for a moment before facing the male, "But, thank you."
The gentle smile on Seungcheol's face never falters, "No problem," he adjusts his seating position before speaking up once again, "So, what are you planning on next?"
You rested your chin on your palm, your free hand twiddling with the letter, "I don't know, " You sighed, "But as much as possible, I'd like to avoid facing my disaster head-on, thank you very much."
A disapproving sound escaped Seungcheol's lips, "Tsk, that won't do," He scolded you, "You won't be able to accomplish anything if you do that,"
"What else can I do?" You groaned, "I don't exactly have the guts of steel, Mr. Choi Seungcheol."
"That's why I'm here, Y/N," he sent a wink at your direction. God, you really wanted to smack him, but he was right. You won't be able to go anywhere if you don't confront them— that is unless you consider sneaking around and taking the the letters without their knowledge, which you're totally up for, by the way.
Your meeting with Seungcheol sadly got cut short by the bell ringing. The both of you stood up and started to gather your things. You slipped the letter into one of your notebooks— you'll place it in a safe box later when you get home. One down, twelve more to go.
The both of you head inside the school building in silence. Seungcheol tapped your shoulder, causing you stop your legs. You face the male, raising your brow at him as you wait for what he has to say.
"I'll talk to you later, yeah? Tell me if anything happens," he smiled. You gave him a quick nod before the both of you finally parted ways.

Surprisingly, you managed to trek down the hallway without having to hide yourself in another locker or having to run another god forsaken marathon. You hadn't ran into any of the boys yet which is definitely good on your part since you weren't mentally prepared to face any of them yet (Seungcheol was an exemption).
You entered class, and lo and behold, Seungkwan was sitting on the desk right beside the door. You let out a yelp, loud enough for half of the class to hear, and you quickly slapped your palm onto your lips. Luckily, the professor wasn't around yet— with yesterday's events, he probably wouldn't let this one slide.
You timidly shuffled around the classroom and decided to sit down at the very back— not your preferred seat, but you wanted to avoid the male as much as possible. While taking out your things, you heard the screech of a chair from beside you, followed by the sound of someone sitting down. You turn your head to see who had decided to sit next to you, and the moment you saw the person— you paled, eyes widening and choking on literally nothing in the process.
"Don't think you could run away just like last time, Y/N— you have some explaining to do," Seungkwan warned you before giving his attention to your professor that had just made his arrival.
Okay, that was unexpected. You only anticipated three things to happen whenever any of the boys decide to confront you— they'll either reject you (obviously), make fun of your cheesy writing, or profess their love for you in return (highly unlikely). You clearly didn't expect a threat.
For the rest of the class, you could only think about Seungkwan's words. You yourself know that you obviously had to explain things, but how did he know? You mentally cursed at yourself. Focus on class, Y/N, think about this shit later. You weren't gonna lie, this entire situation was really giving off a negative impact on your studies— well, your whole life, in general— but all you could do was suck it up, the educational system doesn't give a fuck about the students' well being, anyways.
The bell rang, signalling the end of your class and the beginning of your ruin.
You raced towards the door, hoping to evade the male's confrontation, but for some reason, the path to the door seemed way longer than it was supposed to be (plus the fact there's literally a large mass of students trying to get out, as well). You had no choice but to accept your dreaded fate.
Seungkwan appeared beside you, holding a tight grip on your wrist in case you try to run away (a good idea on his part). You furrowed your brows. It confused you as to why he was so adamant about having you to explain the reason for the letter. Maybe it could be something else? If so, then it must be really really bad for Seungkwan to act like this. At that thought, your nerves started to surface even harder than before.
Upon reaching the hallway, Seungkwan wordlessly dragged you to a corner. The students that were around gave the both of you questioning looks as you passed them by. The male decided to stop, and without even giving you much time to think, he uttered out,
"What the fuck?"
Your features morphed into a mix of confusion and alarm. What? The male probably noticed your expression, and he let out a heavy sigh.
"Look, Y/N, I don't know what kind of game you're playing, but it's not fucking funny," Seungkwan glared at you, causing you to flinch. "Vernon approached me yesterday after school, saying he received a letter from you— a love letter, to be more specific," the male's glare doesn't leave his features.
"Sounds familiar, doesn't it?"
You bit your lip, trying to think of the proper words to say, "I—I can explain, Seungkwan—"
"You better," he snapped. "I honestly do not understand you, Y/N. We used to be friends— hell, Vernon even considered you to be his best friend, years ago. I know it may have already been six years, but do you think it's okay to try and lead two people on?"
You stayed silent. You wanted to wait for him to finish before reasoning yourself out.
"Not to mention that one of the two literally used to be the closest with you, Y/N." Seungkwan's tone started to become softer, "He may have left that day, Y/N, but Vernon doesn't deserve the shit that you're trying to pull."
Seungkwan looked at you, waiting for what you have to say. You breathed in, hoping that the male would understand you explanation.
"That was never my intention, Seungkwan, " he scoffed but didn't say anything, "Actually, those— those letters weren't supposed to be sent in the first place."
Seungkwan eyed you in disbelief, "I thought you were smart, Y/N, but that's got to be the dumbest excuse I've ever heard."
"I'm telling the truth, Seungkwan. You were never meant to read that— those letters were written for myself," You explained. It's clear that the male still doesn't believe you, but you persist, "I wrote Hansol's letter after he left for America, I wrote your letter when you rose me up while I was absolutely devastated that he left. Everything inside those letters were true— I really did love the both of you."
Seungkwan didn't say anything, but his eyes remained on you.
"And you were never meant to find out."
It was quiet— the only sound that emanated from the both of you was the sound of your heavy breathing. Seungkwan didn't look at you, his eyes were focused on the ground beneath him. You pressed your lips together, afraid if the male believed your words or not. A sigh escaped Seungkwan's lips, he raised his head and looked at you in the eye.
"Alright," he breathed, "I believe you."
It felt as if a heavy weight was lifted from your shoulders. You were about to collapse onto the floor out of relief (and you really couldn't face him anymore after all of that), but Seungkwan wasn't finished.
"But, that doesn't mean I'm still not mad at you," Your face dropped. What else does he want? Your mouth formed into a frown. The window seemed really tempting right now.
"I'll be honest with you, Y/N. I was actually really pleased upon receiving your letter, but Vernon wasn't," Seungkwan stated, distress evident in his voice and features, "To put it in simple terms— he feels like shit."
You furrowed your brows, "Wait, why?" Seungkwan let out a sigh, his hands started to fidget.
"I don't know what exactly you wrote in his letter, but he says he feels really bad for leaving you," he explained, "I mean, he felt bad even before, obviously, but he feels like absolute shit for breaking your heart without knowing."
Oh no. Your heart fell. You didn't want anyone— especially Vernon— to feel that way because of you. It wasn't his decision to leave in the first place. If anyone were to blame, that was you for literally having zero control over your feelings.
"Listen, Y/N," Seungkwan's stern tone interrupted your turbulent thoughts, "I'm not returning your letter unless you talk to Vernon."
"I was planning on talking to him, anyways! God, I can't just let him beat himself up for that," Your voice ended up being louder than expected, eliciting a flinch from the male before you. You mumbled out a quiet 'sorry' before speaking out again.
"But," You sighed, not looking at the male, "I don't think I'm ready to talk to him yet."
"I'll be keeping your letter for the meantime, then," Seungkwan remarked, "As his best friend, I can't stand seeing him like that, Y/N. But he won't listen to anything I say— he'd only listen if it comes from you."
Your eyes were stuck to the floor as you heard Seungkwan making his leave. You stood there in silence, reflecting on what the male had just said. Closing your eyes, you let out a sigh.
You'll talk to Vernon sooner or later, but for now, you have other problems to deal with.
