A little something for my boy Apple.
Bio under the cut.
Apple Merrimouser is a friendly, curious, and bright six-year-old boy who's always had a liking for heroes--be they fictional superheroes, the legendary Jackalope, or his own late father, who was a firefighter who sadly was killed in action. As such, his greatest dream was always to be some sort of hero.
At his age, the definition of hero could be a little shallow--cool guy who does cool things and saves people. And well, he has a notable insecurity that he thinks makes him uncool: of all things to have as a mutation, why butterfly wings and antennae? It irritates him to no end whenever he's confused for a girl, and sometimes he feels he has to act extra manly or tough like his adoptive brothers to compensate.
The source of this mutation was him, at age one, simply catching and eating a butterfly that had so happened to be enchanted by the Great Comet the night before. He ended up forming a chrysalis (which understandably freaked his mother out), and when he came out, there were the wings and antennae.
The extra appendages do provide powers for him to use--with wings, he can fly, and he turned out to be a natural for it. He can fly at supersonic speeds, create gusts of wind and tornadoes, and has incredible agility. The wings also can daze opponents into a trance with their hypnotic bright colors, which can help him either catch the foe or flee if said foe is too much for him.
His antennae have the ability to detect danger, which is often how the rest of the Squad knows it's time for action. However, at first it was difficult to distinguish the danger sense from Apple just feeling a change in weather patterns, but he eventually got the hang of it. And the antennae can also fire lasers at his opponents (or that frustrating jar that won't open).
So, ironically, that mutation he finds embarrassing actually contributes to his will and desire to be a hero. He just wishes his wings were cooler (at the very least, can they be blue? It's his favorite color!).
However, what makes him a hero isn't merely the powers (lest we forget about supervillains), it's the fact that he's so kind and conscientious, always willing to help out when and where he can. His sweet, innocent smile can brighten up someone's day, and there's no doubt that he's always ready to learn something new.
Still, he's six--that means he can be bratty or whiny when he's in a bad mood. He gets easily frustrated when his wings get in the way of getting dressed, or knock something over, or the fact that the weather can affect him in ways that it doesn't for others (can't fly in the rain, gets drowsy in the winter, he can get blown away easily if he's not careful).
But overall, he's a good kid that loves life. He enjoys flying, learning about animals, playing games with his friends and siblings, eating lots of food (flying requires a lot of energy), and of course, reading stories about great heroes, which continue to inspire him, and he in turn inspires others (especially his little twin siblings Tootsie and Boots) to be heroes in their own little way.
Fun fact, his original inspiration was actually Bubbles from the Powerpuff Girls and an episode of Dexter's Lab called "Mom and Jerry". Can't remember what inspired me to give him the butterfly appendages (he did used to have an apple on his head, hence his name).

Behold my favorite legend
The Butterfly People of Joplin Missouri (but I drew them to look more cryptic and like an actual human-butterfly hybrid)
Tumblr media
Below is a piece of an article about the Joplin Butterfly People. The article is titled 'The Butterfly People of Joplin' by an unknown author published on Paranormal Catalogue.
"Not long after the tornado had dissipated the people of Joplin began sharing stories of the strange things they had seen during the disaster.
Most of the stories came from small children who told eerily similar stories of seeing beautiful humanoid creatures rescuing people and protecting people from the storm. Some reported seeing the creatures take people up into the sky to “heaven”. Others saw the creatures covering people with their wings to shield them.
The stories came from people all over the city from different ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Mason Lillard suffered life threatening injuries during the tornado as the truck she was in was thrown 300ft by the tornado. She was pinned inside the vehicle with an inch wide metal rod that came through the roof of the tuck, penetrated through her shoulder and exited out the side of her body piercing deep into the truck seat.
As the storm was approaching Mason recalled seeing the butterfly creatures walking about in the streets. After the tornado had passed and she was pinned inside the truck she recalls feeling a touch on her shoulder and assumed it was her cousin. When she turned around to look she saw two angels in white robes, one with dark hair and one with blonde.
In another account of the butterfly people a mother and her daughter fled their vehicle to try find shelter from the tornado. They jumped into a culvert and braced themselves. The mother recalls seeing their car flying towards them as the tornado approached and closed her eyes expecting to be killed.
A few moments later she opened her eyes to see that the tornado had passed and her and her daughter were miraculously unharmed. The daughter than says “Weren’t they pretty?”. The mother was confused and asked “Who are you talking about?” The daughter replied “The Butterfly People. They saved us!”
Another popular story tells us of a grandfather and two young boys who were stuck outside during the tornado. The group huddled together on the ground and the winds were so strong that the soles of the man’s shoes were ripped off. They boys reported seeing butterfly people hovering above them, protecting them from the winds.
A Mural in Joplin painted after the disaster titled “The Butterfly Effect”.
Since the events of the 2011 Tornado a mural of the butterfly people has been painted in downtown Joplin. Butterfly artworks have popped up all over Joplin and the butterfly has become a symbol of hope and recovery after the tornado."

THE HAT RULE, t. owens
word count | 1.7k words
pairings | tyler owens x meteorologist!fem!reader
summary | where tyler owens decides to show the reader what the hat rule is.
warnings | MINORS DNI!! 18+ ONLY!! HEAVY smut! reader doesn’t know the hat rule. not proofread. lowercase intended.
a/n | first of all, sorry for disappearing, i've had NO motivation to write on here, but i saw twisters yesterday and seeing glen powell in a cowboy hat changed me as a person, and also gave me motivation to write. i’ve never written a full smut so i apologize if this sucks, i've stepped out of my comfort zone for this one.
the first time you had ever encountered a tornado was a memory you were sure to never forget. growing up in new york meant rain and snow but no tornadoes. so when traveling to nebraska on a field trip in high school, you were unprepared when the sirens sounded, sending everyone into a frenzy. you had watched as the rain pelted from the sky, a funnel forming up above. you were mesmerized as your teacher pulled you to safety, a sort of thrill tearing through  your body. from that moment on, you knew what you wanted to do. you went to college for meteorology, graduating near top of your class before going onto to work at a local news station. but it never quite settled the feeling that something was missing, until you stumbled across tyler owens’ youtube channel.
tyler owens had become a sensation, a daredevil who did more than just chase the storms, he rode into them. and that seemed to heighten that need of a thrill. so, you hit him up and to your surprise, he replied. and what had started out as a week off of work to storm chase with the daredevil, turned to going part time at your job and joining him on the road.
that was a season ago, and now you were sat at a dingy bar, sipping a beer with tyler and the team. the man himself was sat on the stool next to you, nursing his own beer and listening to lily speak. you ignored the slight butterflies that entered your stomach as he laughed. you had learned to never mix work and love, but something about tyler had you questioning that lesson. he looked mighty fine in his blue jeans and button up, supporting a cowboy’s hat on his head. you noticed your beer was gone, standing up you turned to your crew.
“i'm gonna get another beer, can i get anyone anything?” no’s were murmured around the group except for one.
“i could use another, how ‘bout i come with ya?” you shrugged, tyler getting up to walk with you. lily let out a low whistle, stopping at your glare.
“be my guest.” you two walked over to the bar top, signaling the busy bartender. “can we get two more, when you get a sec?” the bartender nodded, going to make a few drinks before he could grab their bottles.
“so, miss city girl, how you likin’ riding with us? ready to go back to the big apple yet?” tyler questioned, turning to look down at you slightly. damn the height difference.
“don’t think you’re getting rid of me that quick, i have a lot more storm chasing left in me, cowboy.” you winked, tyler laughing. you debated for just a moment before reaching up and taking the cowboy hat from his head.
“the hell you think you’re doing?” tyler questioned as you placed the hat on your own head, admiring your reflection on your phone.
“you wear this hat all the damn time, i just wanted to see if there was something special about it? maybe it has some magical powers or something.” the bartender came back around, beer bottles in hand. you thanked him, handing him some cash before turning back to tyler, who had an odd look in his eye. you quickly took off the hat, worried you had pissed him. you went to hand it back to him, when tyler shook his head:
“keep it on, it suits you.” tyler picked up his beer, beginning back to the table. the comment caused a light blush to dust your cheeks. shaking your head, you hoped it didn't show too much as you followed him back. you sat in your seat, confused by the odd looks you received from the crew. nobody said anything about the hat as the night went on, but that didn’t stop the odd looks.
by last call, it was you and tyler left of the crew. thankfully the bar was across the street from the motel, tyler paying the tab much to your protest, before setting off back to the motel. you had forgotten you still wore tyler’s hat upon your head, only remembering when you went to brush your hair from your eyes, your hand bumping the rim. “hey, do you know why everyone kept giving me weird looks after i put your hat on? and why boone and dani wouldn’t stop snickering?” tyler looked over to you as you climbed the stairs of the motel.
“you don't know?” you shook your head in response, tyler holding a bewildered look. “you don't know the hat rule?”
“there’s a hat rule?” tyler stopped at his door, which neighbors your’s and lily’s. “what?”
“you wear the hat, you ride the cowboy.” he deadpanned, your eyes widening and a heavy blush coating your cheeks.
“oh my god! i promise i wasn’t trying to imply that or anything. not there’s anything wrong with you, because you’re– well you’re you, and–”  you fumbled over your words, stopping mid sentence when tyler laughed.
“hey, it's fine. if you weren’t trying to insinuate that, that’s fine. but if you were, well, now's your chance. and i’d be more than happy to show you how that rule works.” tyler walked closer, a minimal amount of space between you, just enough to allow you to choose whether you close that gap or leave.
you stood there for a moment, stunned at his offer. and without much thought, you closed the gap, hands going to grip his face and pull him closer to you. his hands moved to your hips, fingers digging into the fabric of your shorts. the kiss was feverish, all unspoken feelings surfacing. tyler began to pull away much to your dismay, one hand leaving your hip to fish out his keys from his pocket as he moved his other arm to hold your waist. he unlocked the door with ease, pulling you inside and shutting the door before pushing you up against it, the hat falling as he did so. he went to town on your neck, enticing soft moans and whimpers from your lips. the way he sucked at your neck and how he had previously handled you had conjured up a pool of wetness in your panties.
your arm wrapped around his neck, holding him to your throat, as your fingers tugged at his hair. he groaned against your skin, biting down ever so softly when you tugged on his hair. he gripped at your leg, pulling it up to give him better access to your cunt. he rubbed his clothed cock along you covered cunt, pleased with the moans that escaped your mouth.
“god, keep moaning like that and i might have to take you right here.” you blushed once more, pulling tyler to meet your lips once more. you pushed off the door, lips still connected to tyler’s as you blindly pushed him back to the bed. his legs hit the edge of the bed, tyler breaking the kiss as he pulled off your shirt, both of you kicking off your shoes and socks before lips were reattached once more.
you pulled back, tyler unbutton his shirt as you began to work on his belt buckle. “woah, easy, pretty girl. you’ll get a taste, don’t worry. the night’s still young. but for now, i gotta show ya what happens when ya wear the hat.” tyler pulled off his shirt, walking to pick up the forgotten hat, placing it on your head. “this stays on.” you nodded, eyes hooded as tyler pulled your shorts and panties down. “you’re even more perfect than i had imagined.” before you could question him, tyler pulled his jeans off, his boxers next as his cock sprung up. tossing them to the side tyler pulled you onto his lap as he sat on the edge of the bed, “you sure ‘bout this? i don’t have any condoms.” tyler asked, different from how he just was. you nodded, kissing him softly.
“i’m on the pill, and i trust you.” tyler nodded, holding over his cock as he slowly guided it along your pussy. you held yourself up as tyler’s thumb rubbing your clit, enjoying your whimpers. “please, tyler.” you begged, tyler aligning his cock with your entrance before guiding you down. you hand went your hat as your head rested on tyler’s shoulder, almost pornographic moans escaping from your lips. “oh my god.” he slowly eased himself into you, whispering praises as he did so.
“god, feels like you were made for me.” your cunt hugged his cock beautifully. when his cock was fully in, he allowed you to get used to the stretch, “tell me when you're ready.” you stilled for a moment, adjusting to his size. you kissed and sucked on his neck, slowly beginning to rock your hips. “fuck, let’s get this off of ya.” tyler’s hands skillfully unclipped your bra, tossing it to the side, fingers ghosting over your perky nipples. you pulled off his shoulder, giving him better access to your tits. “you’re fuckin’ beautiful, darlin’.” tyler attached his mouth to one of your nipples, enticing a soft moan. you continued to ride him, hips moving faster as you chased your incoming orgasm. your left hand gripped tyler’s shoulder, fingernails digging into his bare skin as your right hand held onto the hat that adorned your head.
as your orgasm inched closer and closer, your movements became more erratic, chasing your high. tyler moaned, whispering praises as your walls clenched around his cock. he knew you were close, mouth moving to your pulse point as he pounded into you, taking over. tyler clapped a hand over your mouth as your orgasm hit, muffling your screams so you didn't wake up your neighbors. his movements however did not slow as he worked you through your orgasm, chasing his own high. your legs trembled as he continued to pound into you, your second orgasm of the night approaching quickly. “fuck! fuck, ty-” you cut yourself off, body shaking as you hit your climax once more. tyler began to huff and moan, pulling you impossibly closer as he reached his own high. you blubbered, unable to form actual words as tyler’s hands roamed your body. you pulled back, kissing him roughly.
“goddamn,” he helped you off his cock, helping guide you onto the bed, “think you’ll be able to handle a round two?”
“don’t go thinking you can get rid of me that easily.”

The concept of Bakugo wearing his mask as a headband is just too much for me.
He just got home from a hell of a shift. Civilians acting crazy, villains showing up in the least expected moments. It was insane.
He's been out for a twelve hour shift. It's almost eight o'clock when he hits home, throwing his giant boots to the side of the door and slipping off the gauntlets of his arms.
You are in one of his shirts, the length of it passing through your legs and stopping right in your mid thighs. The comparison between the lack of clothing in your body and the enormous amount of gear in his body is kinda funny.
He's observing you dancing and swaying your hips at the rhythm of your favorite song while you ignore completely he is home.
The only piece of clothing that is disturbing Bakugo is his mask. The black piece of fabric completely clouding his gaze that's directed to you.
He grabs the mask and pushes it to the line of his hair, taming all his rebellious locks back.
You take a peak on your peripherals and see him standing there like he's just watching the most beautiful piece of art. You. You can't help but smile at him. He's the same thing to you. He's devastated, looking tired with dirt stains on his skin, but the image of him leaning on the lintel of your kitchen door with his mask on his hair wearing a lazy smirk just by looking at you, make all the butterflies in your belly erupt in a wild tornado.
"Hey, hot stuff." You bat your eyes at him flirting, and he hides a subtle laugh while he walks towards you.
"C'mere shithead." He grabs you gently by your head and embraces you against his chest. The familiarity of his smell makes its way inside your system, slapping your senses awake that he's definitely once again, home.

risk it all for you
pairing: tyler owens x reader
summary: you and tyler have liked each other since high school. but you both may have waited too long to tell each other, which leads to a pretty nasty fight between the two of you. that’s when a storm comes.
word count: 3.7k
a/n: ended up being so much longer than i thought it would, but had a blast writing for everyone’s favorite tornado cowboy
Tumblr media
The comforting scent of burning wood filled your lungs as you sat by the campfire. You didn’t even notice the smile that was glued to your face as you looked around.
The recent storms had brought in all kinds of visitors, hoping to witness a tornado up close and personal. It was the end of a busy day, and all the chasers were camping out in the parking lot of the motel they were staying at.
Tyler, your best friend since high school, had invited you to the bonfire. Tyler had always been the adrenaline junkie, not you. Chasing tornadoes was his thing, and you were glad to let him have it all to himself.
You were currently sitting in the back of Tyler’s truck waiting for him to bring you back a beer.
“So, you’re telling me you and Tyler have never gone for a ride?” One of Tyler’s friends continued to pester you. You quickly shook your head. You couldn’t bear the thought of risking your life like that. “Never, you all can keep your tornadoes. I am happy staying at home and hearing the stories.” You replied.
“Nobody said I was talking about tornadoes.” He retorted. The whole group erupted into laughter. Your cheeks heated up at the implication. It wasn’t like you’d never thought about it. You definitely had.
You heard a few rogue whistles. “Alright, that’s enough.” You heard a low voice say beside you. You turned to look over your shoulder and saw Tyler with two beers in hand.
“Here you go, sweetheart. Don’t let ‘em bother you too much.” He said, handing the bottle over to you. He jumped up to sit next to you on the tailgate. Even after being friends for years, you still sometimes got butterflies when you hung out with him.
“I mean, you can’t blame them. It’s a complete mystery how we’ve managed to stay just friends. I mean, you are just so hot and irresistible. I don’t know how any girl could stay friends with the infamous Tyler Owens.” You sarcastically teased him.
He nearly spit out his beer as he laughed at your joke. Whenever Tyler laughed at your jokes, it was like a little ego boost.
Many people had prodded over the years and asked you and Tyler why you never dated. Every time you gave a sarcastic response to the questions, Tyler fell a little harder for you.
Tyler leaned against you, clinking his bottle against yours. His arm pressed up against yours. Heat radiated off his skin. You hadn’t realized how cold you were. Tyler noticed too.
“Oh hang on, here take this,” he said, grabbing a blanket from behind him. He carefully wrapped it around your shoulders, so it would keep you warm.
You could smell his cologne on the blanket. If you closed your eyes, you could pretend you were wrapped up in his arms.
“So, Tyler, if you two aren’t together, are you seeing anybody else?” One of the girls sat around the fire asked Tyler. You instantly felt your stomach drop. You’d watched girls flirt with Tyler for years, but it never got easier. You faked a smile, but inside, you had a pit in your stomach.
“Why you wanna know? You want me all to yourself?” Tyler jokingly flirted back.
It was no secret that Tyler was a flirt. It never meant anything more to him. It was always just a flirty comment. But you still got jealous. You knew you and Tyler couldn’t have any kind of flirtatious relationship.
The girl pretended to fan herself and blew a kiss towards Tyler. Everyone was laughing at the silly exchange. You just couldn’t do it.
You set down the blanket and hopped down off the tailgate. “I gotta get something out of my car.” You lied, since everyone’s eyes were glued on you. Jealousy was written all over your face. It didn’t take a genius to figure it out.
They all went back to their conversations as you walked away. You wiped away the tear that was rolling down your cheek.
You heard a heavy pair of footsteps behind you. “Wait up. Where ya goin’?” He asked. You both knew you weren’t just “getting something out of your car.”
“Anywhere but here, Tyler,” you said. You continued walking and refused to look back at Tyler. You knew if you looked at him, you’d melt and lose the courage to leave. Tyler could convince you to do anything, and all it took was the twinkle in his eye.
You reached out to open your car door. Tyler smacked his hand against the door, pushing it closed. The loud slam caused you both to jump. It hadn’t been so aggressive in his head.
He mumbled a quick “sorry” and then squeezed himself between you and the car, his back pressed up against the car door.
You focused your eyes on the ground. You refused to look him in the eye.
“What’s goin’ on? Are you mad at me?” He asked you. You rolled your eyes and huffed. He waited for you to answer as you stubbornly crossed your arms. “I’m not mad at you, Ty. I just want to leave.” You said, with your eyes still glued to the ground.
He grabbed your chin and forced you to look at him. You bit your tongue, trying to remain assured. Tyler had to resist the urge to laugh at how much effort it was taking you to keep a serious face.
“Really? Cause it looks like you’re mad at me. In fact, it looks like you’re a little jealous.” He said, smirking down at you. He moved his hand from your chin to brush a piece of hair behind your ear.
You pushed him off of you and took a step back. “Oh, really? Is it that obvious?” You said, hitting his arm. He cocked his head to the side. He was expecting you to deny it, and he was a little shocked when you didn’t.
“So, you are feelin’ a little jealous? Why didn’t you just tell me?” He said, taking a small step towards you. He was wearing the same cocky smile that he always had plastered on his face.
“Do you know how hard it is to see you flirt with every girl you meet?” You asked. He furrowed his brow as he tried to figure out why you were so frustrated. To him, it seemed like there was a very simple solution.
He let his hand rest on your waist, softly toying with the fabric of your shirt. “Well, sweetheart, if you wanted me, you could have just told me. I’m right here for you to take.” He told you, genuinely. Hearing those words come out of his mouth made your stomach do flips.
“It’s different with me and you. We can’t flirt the way you do with those girls.” You told him. You could feel yourself starting to give into his touch, as you leaned in closer to him. “I see no reason why we can’t, sweetheart.” He said, looping his arm around your waist and pulling you closer to him.
You could feel your heart pounding. You had to remind yourself to breathe. His cologne was enveloping all your senses. Your eyes were stuck on his.
“Cause with them, it’s casual. But we’ve been friends for years, so it could never be casual. It would have to be all or nothing. It would have to be this serious thing, or we’d risk our entire friendship.” You told him, your voice coming out as a whisper. He ran his fingers through your hair. He couldn’t help but admire you under the moonlight.
“I never claimed to want something casual with you, sweetheart.” He told you. You could feel goosebumps spread down your arms as he looked at you like you were his everything.
You had to pull yourself out of it. You were getting dragged in. “We can’t be together, Tyler.” You said, pulling yourself out of his grasp. You noticed his slight frown as you slipped out of his arms.
“Why not? I think we both know we’d be great together.” He tried to convince you. He didn’t know why you seemed so hesitant when you both knew the feelings were mutual.
He could see the sadness on your face. You wanted to be with Tyler, but you knew it wouldn’t work. “I would always end up as your second priority. It would ruin us, and we’d never be able to be friends again.” You told him. Your emotion was clear in your voice.
He cocked his head to the side in confusion. That was the last thing he expected you to say. He never thought he struggled at showing you how important you were to him.
“What do you mean? Nobody comes before you. Nobody ever has. I’ve always put you first.” He told you. He was practically begging you for answers. He wanted to know how to assure you.
“Owens, I’m not talking about a person. I’m talking about all of this.” You said, looking around you both. There were storm chasers camping out for as far as you both could see. “What are you saying? That we can’t be together because I chase tornadoes?” He asked, starting to raise his voice.
You both were very stubborn people, so it was gradually turning into more of an argument.
“I’m saying you’d always have one foot out the door. And at the drop of a hat, you’d be racing out to risk your life. I can’t be wondering if you’re gonna come home. But, I know how much you love what you do.” You told him. Your voice cracked, and Tyler stepped forward to try to comfort you.
You put your hands up to stop him. He swore under his breath. He was seeing how determined you really were. He was becoming less confident that you could convince you otherwise.
“Well maybe I love you more.” He said.
The thought of losing you was enough to finally push him to confess how he really felt about you. He saw your eyes soften. Those were the words you’d always dreamed of hearing Tyler say.
You felt your heart break when you realized they didn’t change anything. “Oh, come on, Tyler. It’s not fair to throw out words that you can’t back up with any commitments.” You said.
Tyler was becoming more frustrated as he felt you drifting further and further away. “Don’t push me away. You’ve known me for years. You know me better than anyone. You know I’m not reckless. A risk taker? Yes, but I’m careful enough to stay safe. Because I’ve got someone to come home to.” He told you.
You tried to take a deep breath, but all you could focus on was the broken expression on Tyler’s face. “Tyler, I’ve seen you chase tornadoes for years. I’ve seen how much you light up when you talk about it. I know how much you love it. It’s inspiring, it really is, but it’s also the reason you can’t make a long-term commitment to anything or anyone else.” You told him, honestly.
Tyler shook his head, looking down at the ground. You were technically right. He had trouble making commitments. But it wasn’t because of how much he loved storm chasing.
It was because of how much he loved you.
“What about us, huh? We’ve been friends for years. I’ve never missed a birthday or a phone call or a breakup. So, don’t tell me I can’t make a commitment. I have never failed to be there for you. Why would I stop if we started dating?” He snapped at you.
You flinched at how loudly he was talking. He’d never yelled at you before. He noticed how your expression changed. You stepped backwards, putting some physical and emotional space between the two of you.
You pushed past him to open your car door. “Wait, c’mon, don’t leave,” he begged you. He knew he’d crossed a line, and he was trying to remedy it.
“I’m not gonna stay here when you’re yelling at me like that.” You told him. He grabbed your hand and spun you around to face him. “Sweetheart, I’m sorry. I really didn’t mean to. I was trying to tell you that I’d always put you first.” He apologized, squeezing your hand. You wanted nothing more than to melt into his arms. But you couldn’t.
“I can’t do this right now, Tyler.” You said, pulling your hand back and getting in your car. Tyler felt a pit in his stomach as you drove off. He couldn’t help but worry that he’d lost you for good.
He ran his fingers through his hair as he wondered what to do. His eyes landed on the bar across the street from the motel. He started walking in that direction. He felt stupid for being optimistic that you’d reciprocate his feelings.
His friends all called after him, having seen the whole fight go down. They all asked him where he was going, but he ignored them all. He wasn’t quite ready to talk about you and have his friends tell him he’d screwed up. Because he knew that already.
So, while you drove home and started crying on your couch, Tyler went to the bar. He wasn’t even really drinking that much. It was mostly just sulking.
He’d drowned out everyone else at the bar who was partying. He was sitting at the end of the bar staring into his glass. All he could think about was how hurt you looked when he yelled at you.
He wanted to pull you into his arms and apologize over and over until you forgave him.
His thoughts were interrupted when he heard a news alert playing on the television above the bar. His eyes darted up to the screen and saw “Multiple Tornado Spottings”. He realized your house was right in the middle of the storms.
He swore under his breath and raced towards his truck. Fueled by adrenaline, he sped towards your house. He had the pedal pushed down as far as it would go.
Nothing motivated Tyler more than the thought of you being in harm’s way. He grabbed his phone out of his pocket and clicked on your contact.
He anxiously tapped on the steering wheel as his phone rang. It only rang once before he got sent to voicemail. He tried to call you again, and you declined the call again.
You were oblivious to the incoming storm, and you were in no mood to talk to Tyler.
“Oh, come on, sweetheart. Turn on the news, please.” He muttered to himself, praying that he could will it into existence.
Once he got to your house, he barely turned his truck off before jumping out and sprinting towards the front door.
He banged on the door with his fist. The winds were picking up around him. His adrenaline was still running high.
“Go away, Tyler.” He heard you yell from inside. He pounded on the door again. “There’s a storm, sweetheart. We gotta get to the cellar. It’s not safe.” He yelled through the door. He could barely hear himself over the howling wind. He quickly tapped his fingers on his leg, fidgeting as he waited for you to appear.
The door swung open. Your fear was written all over your face. Tyler grabbed your hand and pulled you with him. He glanced over his shoulder and saw a tornado forming in the distance.
The wind was blowing you both around as you raced towards the cellar. Tyler kept a tight grip on your hand. He wasn’t going to let you out of his sight.
“Lookout,” Tyler yelled, shielding your body with his as a dumpster went flying by you both. After it missed you both, he tugged you towards the cellar.
The cellar doors had already flung open from the wind. He grabbed your waist, pushing you inside before him. You quickly ran down to the bottom of the stairs.
“Sweetheart, get me a stick or something down there or these doors won’t stay closed.” Tyler told you. He was wincing as he struggled to hold the doors closed.
You grabbed an old broomstick and handed it to him quickly. He shoved it through the handles and prayed it would hold.
“Alright, c’mon, we gotta get to the back.” He said, nudging you.
“Over here,” you said, grabbing his hand and pulling him into the closet in the back of the cellar.
Tyler closed the closet door behind you both. It was a small closet. You were facing the back wall. He was covering your whole body with his. He had his hand protectively cupping the back of your head.
“Keep your eyes closed and hold on to those pipes, sweetheart.” He instructed you. You quickly nodded your head and did what he told you to do. He pressed a soft kiss to the back of your head, to try to comfort you.
You both had always had a nonverbal way of communicating. He obviously knew you were scared because who wouldn’t be? But he also knew that one of your biggest fears was something happening to him while chasing a storm. And now you were wrapped up in that.
“I’ve got you, sweetheart. I promise, I won’t let anything happen to you.” He assured you, holding onto you tightly.
A high pitched whistle filled the room as the wind started to pick up. You could feel the pressure envelop your whole body. Everything around you was rattling.
Up above you, you could hear thuds as the tornado flung around cars and anything else in its path. It wasn’t long until you both heard the cellar doors rip open.
The howling wind got louder. It made your ears ring. Tyler tightened his grip on you as the closet doors started to shake. Your knuckles turned white as you gripped onto the pipes.
“You promise me you won’t play hero.” Tyler yelled at you. He didn’t want you to get hurt trying to save him. You furiously shook your head. “I’m not letting anything happen to you.” You yelled back.
The closet doors started shaking even more. The hinges were loudly squeaking. You just knew that the tornado was right above you.
A piece of the door ripped off and flew through the air. The air swirled around the tiny closet, making it harder to hold on.
Pieces of the door kept splintering off. One of them sliced against Tyler’s bicep, causing him to wince and bite down on his lip.
The closet doors finally swung open. With the large cut on Tyler’s arm, his grip accidentally loosened. He started getting pulled backwards. He only had one hand on the pipes. He was gripping it with all the strength he had.
You wrapped one of your arms around the pipes and the other around his waist, pulling him back into you. You buried your face into his chest.
Then, the wind almost instantly disappeared.
You both continued to hold onto each other as your adrenaline still ran high. Tyler kissed the top of your head. “It’s over, sweetheart. We’re safe.” He whispered, still trying to catch his breath.
You both slowly pulled away from each other and leaned against opposite walls. Neither of you said a word as you tried to process what had just happened.
“You saved my life, sweetheart.” He said, looking at you with love in his eyes. You could feel the tears start to bubble up. You were finally letting yourself acknowledge how scared you’d been, now that you weren’t in danger anymore.
“I was so scared to lose you.” You whispered, your voice cracking. He pulled you into his arms, nestling his face into the crook of your neck. He softly rubbed your back. “You did everything right, sweetheart.” He assured you.
He continued to hug you until you stopped crying. When you both pulled apart, you could see the guilt in his eyes.
“This was all my fault.” He mumbled under his breath. You furrowed your eyebrows as you looked at him. You stubbornly shook your head. “None of this was your fault. It was a tornado. You might be the tornado wrangler, but you can’t control them.” You said, trying to cheer him up and lighten the mood.
He grabbed your hands, interlacing his fingers with yours. Neither of you wanted to keep your hands off each other. You both were still worried if you took your eyes off the other that they’d disappear.
“I shouldn’t have yelled at you back there. If I hadn’t, we’d both still be at the motel. You wouldn’t have been in harm’s way if it wasn’t for me.” He told you, apologetically. He was realizing that his actions had put you in the wrong place at the wrong time.
“I’m sorry that I yelled at all. I wasn’t mad at you. I really wasn’t. I was mad at myself. You should have no reason to doubt how important you are to me. If you do, I need to fix that.” He said, squeezing both your hands. You noticed a smile start to grow on his face when you didn’t pull away.
“You never gave me a reason to doubt you. I was just scared. We’re not all as brave as the tornado wrangler.” You teased him. He let out a soft chuckle.
It was nice to have a peaceful moment, laughing together like you always did, after a life or death scenario.
“Does that mean?” Tyler started to ask you, a smirk beginning to grow. You just giggled and nodded your head. “Yes, it means you can kiss me, cowboy.” You said, cheesily smiling at him.
He didn’t waste any time grabbing your belt loops and pulling you closer to him. You cupped his face and leaned in to kiss you. You let yourself melt into the kiss. His soft lips fit perfectly against yours. Just like you’d always dreamed.
You could feel him smiling against your lips. You both pulled out of the kiss. Tyler looked at you with a look of awe. “I’ve spent years wishing I could do that.” He said, smiling down at you.

⊹ ‧₊˚ ᰔ synopsis. boothill always needs to spit on your cunt before going down on you // ꒰ᐢ⸝⸝⸝⸝ᐢ꒱ ♡ cw. spit kink, very messy, oral (fem! receiving) <3, fem! reader ♡
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
boothill can't stop himself from watching you, it's everlasting, when he's looking at the distinctness of your responses while he's dragging this out.
it's almost dangerous to watch you— you're so sweet he might as well just get addicted to your taste. it's a given to the man, that he always need to spit on your soft pussy while wittingly panting his hot breath against your clit.
when you're all wet and drenched for him, he knows you're enjoying yourself, apart from how sensually you were clutching at his hair strands.
you've lost against the sparks scattering in your thighs, noticing a numbness to your legs as he melts his tongue along your hot skin before a pitchy whimper seeps from your lips, responding just as feverishly to his sultry licks.
he pulls his face off your cunt, feeling slightly unhinged the more he heard you whine in shambles before he bundles up enough saliva to drop a globe of spit against your weeping folds.
the slick wetness still connects to his bottom lip and its almost made you unravel right there, the sight of it was was just too hot, in fact, you can't even fathom that boothill was yours, and yours alone.
you can never take your eyes off him, always raveling at the sensation of how his fleshy muscle was twisting between your folds tentatively in order to brush all the way inside before he presses his palms up to caress your breasts.
how wet you've gotten in combination with your own oozy arousal and his spit repeatedly fusing with your juices, or the tremendous glow of his spit dripping through his mouth as he wraps his lips around your clit to suck the nerves inside his warmth hard, not to forget the evident puffiness of your folds— boothill cannot satiate this feeling in his stomach and neither could you get used to how well he knew his way around your body.
you're trapped in a tornado of bliss, sweetly moaning from his raw drags of tongue that overtook you, blossomed in your chest and intoxicated you with strong throbs of your hole clamping around air, only hoping he's put more attention there.
on reflex, your hips attempt to twitch away from his mouth before he roughly readjusts you back at him with a cheeky smirk. his hot breathing was ghosting across the torridity of your billowy folds— on purpose, it seems, it's easy to see how it's riling you up.
how unrestrictedly attractive it was for your boyfriend to eat you out like he's had a hopeless hunger for the taste of you while at the same time, tracing along your body as fragile as to a butterfly.
recognising your enjoyment by sound and taste alone— the clear look of bliss and comfort in your face was necessary to the man as oxygen or water was to a human.

You make Kurt so incredibly nervous...he wants to ask you out so badly.
Kurt asking you to go on a date or to be his partner would be so precious and I cannot be convinced otherwise. Side note, Krakoa Kurt is one of my favs ever <3

Kurt was so nervous.
Ever since your arrival to Krakoa, he couldn't keep his eyes off of you. He so desperately wanted to talk to you, but he couldn't come up with anything to say. His nerves made his tail twitch and thrash behind him while he fiddled with his fingers. He wondered if maybe you'd be the first to talk to him, then he could maybe start talking more at ease.
He did try his best...a group of mutants including himself and you were walking through one of the parks in New York, part of some mission to find a lost mutant. You had been so focused, your eyes scanning the park for said mutant when Kurt got the idea to bring you a sweet treat. He remembered you mentioning your favorite flavor of ice cream and there was a cart conveniently located down the sidewalk.
He walked over and eagerly scanned the cart to see if the flavor you liked was there, and sure enough, it was. He asked for a serving of it and as he waited, he felt someone from behind him step on his tail. He jerked up, making a loud noise and in his jerky movements, he ended up tripping over his own feet and falling right into the cart. Ice cream went everywhere.
Your attention was drawn after he cried out in surprise, and you saw him fall back into the ice cream cart, sinking down in the soft serve and one of the buckets comedically fell on his head. Your eyes widened and you went over to him, "Kurt! Oh my god...are you okay?" you asked, pulling the bucket off his head as more ice cream fell over him.
He shook from the chill and he looked up at you, his eyes wide and his face burned with embarrassment. "J-Ja! I am alright! I did that on purpose to make the children laugh!" he insisted, standing up, then slipping and falling over again. You caught his arm and prevented him from falling all the way on his ass, and he managed to get his feet under him.
"D-Danke..." he muttered, feeling a little shy and completely humiliated that you saw him so clumsy. "Ach...I should clean up..." he whispered back softly and he disappeared in a cloud of smoke before you could say anything else.
After that, he felt too embarrassed to show his face for a few days. He just couldn't believe you saw him fall into ice cream like that. He groaned in bed, a pillow over his face as he let out a string of German frustration. He tossed the pillow to the side and huffed, sitting up. He needed to do something better, something that would make you forget about his clumsiness.
Flowers were his first instinct, but was that too cliché? Did you even like flowers? Would you think that's a sweet gesture? Or were you more into sweets? He didn't want to think about sweets after the ice cream incident...
Maybe something else. A more thoughtful gesture. Dinner? Classic, but was it too boring? Was he just overthinking this??
Another whine escaped his lips, you turned him into putty. He felt his mind was swarming with thoughts and he had no clue what to do. How could he approach you and just...say hello? No, he couldn't do that. How would he even form the words?
This wasn't just butterflies in his belly, he felt like he had a swarm of them, a migration trapped in his stomach and kept twisting around like a tornado. He felt his hands shake and his tail wouldn't stop twitching.
He watched you interact with other mutants from across the room, pouting to himself that it wasn't him you were talking to. He had no one to blame but himself, he wasn't brave enough to approach you just yet. He had no right to feel jealous...he hadn't even said a single word-
"Kurt?" your voice filled his ears suddenly, snapping him from his envious thoughts. His eyes darted at you and he stiffened, you were right in front of him. Your smile was so sweet, it didn't seem like you were even thinking about what happened the last time you saw him.
"Ah...l-liebling." he stuttered out, sitting up and fixing his posture. His tail wrapped around his ankle and he stared at you for far too long.
"Uh, Kurt?" you repeated slowly, giving him an odd look before you smiled again. "Did all that ice cream freeze your brain?" You teased lightly, watching him shift in a flustered manner. "I'm kidding, it was funny, but I'm glad you're alright," you reassured, not wanting him to feel bad about it. If it were you, you'd sure as hell feel embarrassed too.
He nodded slowly, giving a nervous smile. "Ah, danke...I admit that was not my most graceful moment..." he trailed off and cleared his throat. Kurt tried to avoid looking at you, he couldn't keep his eyes on you for more than a second without feeling like he was being shocked all over. You were absolutely breathtaking to him, you were so kind...even when he was a fool.
You saw him shift and he seemed uncomfortable, so you touched his arm lightly. "Are you okay? You've been acting a little funny since the other day." At your touch, Kurt almost whined and he pulled back enough to disappear again, teleporting away as his nerves skyrocketed.
"Ach, verdammt!" he whined to himself and held his face in his hands, "I cannot keep doing this..." he mumbled into his palms, feeling like such an idiot for making a fool of himself a second time. You had such power over him and you had no idea.
This time, he'd do everything right. He stood off to the side, watching you walk your normal routine, he held a bundle of wildflowers tightly in his tail. He didn't know what flower you liked, the fool he was, he was too nervous to ask or spy on you to see if it ever came up in conversation. But the flowers that grew in Krakoa were lovely, he figured you'd like them?
When you got close he took a deep breath. 'No more foolishness,' Kurt thought to himself, feeling more confident and determined. He teleported down to you, luckily he didn't startle you, he almost expected it with the dumb luck he's had lately. "Guten Morgen, liebling." Kurt greeted in the calmest voice he could muster. You were stopped in your tracks and you smiled back at him.
"Good morning, Kurt. What brings you here?" You asked casually, your head tilted slightly with interest. You obviously noticed him lingering around where you were, you just didn't know why he was.
Kurt shifted and he stood back up fully, his tail curling around and he took the flowers in his hand. They were bundled together loosely with ribbon, and he handed them to you quickly, "Wouldyougooutwithme?" he asked faster than you could understand, swallowing as his face heated up. His arms shook as he kept them extended with the flower bundle in hand.
You blinked, you had only heard a jumble of words, not really a full sentence. "Er...what was that?" you asked, looking at the flowers in his hands. "Those are so pretty," you commented and took them from him, momentarily distracted from his nervous question. He watched with relief as you appeared to like the flowers, bringing the colorful bundle up and smelling them.
"Oh, I asked..." Kurt took a deep breath, this was his one chance to do it right. He didn't want to mess up again, and with a trembling voice he asked again. "If you would go out with me...like...a date? W-We can do whatever you want! Dinner, walk, dessert..." he muttered that last part, "But whatever you want to do! I just...I like you. A lot."
With his admission, it was your turn to blush. You gave him a little grin, and you lowered the flowers, "Oh, Kurt...yes, yes of course I would. I like you too," you admitted, your voice a little softer as you stepped closer.
"A lot." you added, pecking his cheek. "And I am totally okay with no dessert if you need to recover from the ice cream." A soft chuckle left your lips with your words, and his cheeks darkened, a bashful smile spread on his face and he scratched the back of his neck.
"Ah...too kind liebling..." His tail swished behind him, shyly moving and wrapping loosely around your calf. "So...how about dinner?" Kurt inquired, "I can make you a delicious meal from my homeland, I promise it's worth trying."
The thought of tasting food from where he came from was intriguing and special, you thought that sounded perfect. A way to spend time with him and know him better. You looked up at him, his adorable face still tinted with a light violet hue from his nerves.
"I'd like that."
