"Hello? Is this the right Trevor? Maggie's Trevor?"

"Uh, yeah?" Is Trevor's unsure response, hearing the voice of a woman that is very much not his best friend.

"My names Emma, I'm a friend of Mags, we're nursing students together," The girl explains, "We're at this TKE party right now and she's drunk off her ass. I asked who I should call and she said you were the man," She continues to explain, the music loud in the background, making it hard for her to be heard. "So... can you come get her?"

Oh. This girl doesn't know he lives on the West Coast.

"Uh, I live in California actually," Trevor explains, uncomfortable in that fact that he can't get to Maggie.

"Oh shit, I knew her boyfriend lived far away, but I thought like, an hour," Is the girls response, flustering the boy on the other end.

"Oh, I'm not her boyfriend, we've just been friends for years," He corrects, knowing there's fresh color on his cheeks, even in the dark of his room.

"Ha, just friends my ass Trevor," Is the girl's bold response, Maggie's voice floating into the background. "You must not know how she talks about you," Emma continues.

"Oh?"

"Is that Trevy?!" Maggie can be heard screaming on the other side, drunker than he's ever heard her.

"Mags? Is that you sweetheart?" Trev asks, her giggling in response.

"Trevy, come give me a hug!"

"Mags I'm in Cali-"

"No no, come give me a hug, I miss you," The brunette mumbles, choking up.

Waving at Jamie across from him for his phone, Trevor types in Jack's number, letting it ring.

"I miss you too Mags, but you know I'm in Anaheim."

"Trev? What the hell man do you know what time it is over here?" Jack's exhausted voice grumbles through the phone that's up to his other ear.

Muting his own while Maggie is distracted, mumbling things to the friend who called, Trevor turns his attention to the other twin.

"Dude, Mags friend called me to pick her up and clearly I can't do that. You need to get your ass up and go pick up your sister."

You could hear Jack wake up just by the sound of his voice. "Do you know where she is?"

"Maggie, where are you again? Do you know the name of the bar?" Trevor switches over, Jamie trying not to laugh at the back and forth.

"TKE! My friend's brother is a brother!" She exclaims, Trevor relaying that info to her twin, said boy hanging up with a quick "I'm on my way" and leaving Trevor to distract Maggie.

"That sounds fun, how're you feeling?"

"Like I miss you," Is Mag's response once more, the alcohol taking away any filter the already openly flirtatious girl might have had. "You being in Anaheim sucks. You should move in with Jack and I."

"Baby, I play for the Anaheim Ducks, you know I can't do that from Jersey."

"Trev! We're 20 years old! How dare you settle down, and with someone other than me, no less," The girl nearly cries, leaving the loud environment she was once in in favor of quiet. "

"Maggie baby, what are you talking about? I live with Jamie?" It's moments like these he wishes they were dating, that he had gotten up the courage already to ask her out. Maybe this past summer at the lake house, maybe a few years ago when the boys gave him permission.

"Yeah, Jamie boy is taking my man!" She protests, the words echoing through the speaker function that Trevor had just activated, making the Canadian laugh.

"Your man?" Trev can't help but ask, a smirk on his face at the expression.

"You'd be my man if you'd ask me out already, I know you have my brother's permission," The girl admits, Trevor's face dropping at the admission.

"You- you what?"

"Oh! Trevor you won't believe it! Jacky is here! Jacky, say hi to Trev!" A near squeal unfurls, Jack's voice being the next thing a still confused Trevor hears.

"Z, hey, I'm going to get her home, she'll be feeling this tomorrow."

And at first he nods, realizing a moment later what he had done and responding, saying a quick goodbye just as Jack had done earlier.

When he looks up, Jamie is there, laptop turned in Trevor's direction and brows through the roof. "So, this is the first flight to Newark for tomorrow."

"What?"

"Dude," Jamie can't help the judgement in his voice. "Grow a pair and go get the girl."

him and mom meet in school! they've basically grown up together but dont start dating until theyre in high school

they break up when jamie gets drafted to the ducks

mom goes to ryerson (tmu ? whatever the new name is) and she studies fashion communication

jamie and mom reunite? at moms grad (jamies there to visit friends who went to ryerson)

after they see each other again they start hooking up whenever jamie is in toronto !

pregnancy + relationship

moms working at a small fashion mag as an editor

she gets pregnant right before jamie leaves again for cali (theyre kind of off and on during summers)

its this whole confusing conversation but mom moves in with jamie and they start navigating their life!

it was a pretty smooth pregnancy overall, mom is just very homesick and a little overwhelmed with how fast her life has changed in the past few months after getting pregnant

jamie was very supportive of mom and was very gentle with how they handled the big transition of toronto - cali

theyre both very cautious of each other and very much in love as everyone around them sees

they fall into their summer habits of being together easily and they never really have a conversation about what they are? until one night mom gets really worked up and in her head and questions jamie what they were doing / if theyre ready for this / "what even are we?"

after that conversation its very clear that they both have strong feelings for each other and have for awhile. just super soft and loving!

baby thoughts

baby lila or laini is born during the springtime! april/may ish

once baby is born (moms working from home for the mag in toronto), she quits her job to take care of the baby as her job was very demanding (she does freelance fashion writing while the baby is young. then she gets back into fashion editing when baby is maybe 1?)

baby is very much a daddy's girl and is just super cuddly

jamie def calls her (if her name is lila) lila-bell, his little duckling, his little love... just so many cute little nicknames

baby definitely gets scared / shy in unfamiliar spaces. definitely takes her awhile to warm up to people and settle. she def clings to her parents in social situations

LOVES her uncle trevor tho! tbh, mom and jamie weren't sure how they'd get along considering trevor is so energetic and loud and baby is so quiet and shy but they make it work! baby definitely comes out of her shell when she's with her uncle trev.

hiya, tumblr, how's everyone doing? how's august so far for everybody?

here's a quick recap of how my previous week went cause tbh it went downhill real fast at some point and im only just now trying to recover from it

wed - had the most amazing day with my boyfriend; we spent the entire day together since it was his birthday and we ate so much and walked around and had lots of fun on his special day; nung gabi palang nito sumama na pakiramdam ko para akong lalagnatin

thurs - my nose ended up being stuffy so i assumed i got my allergies nanaman; pero kinaya ko pa mag pa annual physical exam eh

fri - on top of not being able to breathe well nanaman and a cough forming, sumakit pa tiyan ko; not food poisoning type na masakit, but more of super duper bloated nanaman ng tiyan ko to the point na i had to put so much salonpas on my tummy nung day na to

sat - our relatives arrived from cali so this was a bit fun although syempre i still felt sick; my tummy was still hurting here and there tapos thankfully hindi na gaano kabarado yung ilong ko

sun - my sipon is bearable, i know how to sleep well and to adjust so i can breathe properly; sobrang sakit lang ng ulo ko tuwing na uubo ako, tapos yung tiyan ko parang pagaling na; i also suspect na baka kasi mag kakaron na rin ako ng period ko

so yeah, quite an eventful week tbh, and as much as i loved staying at home and playing every day and night and eating so much, i really wanna go back to work na and start walking more and getting more sun and being productive again

here's to being healthier and taking care of my body properly this time kasi i really need to, and i really want to as well

~I present to you wonderful beings, (drumroll please 🥁🥁🥁) Louisiana doing the "Giving my bf my hand to see what he does" challenge with the Main 6 cuz I f*ckin’ love this ship~

(Or essentially just Loui being a blushy-flustered mess—)

First up: Florida

Louisiana walked into the kitchen where Florida was leaning on the counter with his phone. He stood next to Florida and also leant on the counter, but he left enough space in between them so that he could put his hand out in the space between.

"Hey amor~" Florida said, looking down at Loui with a flirty/loving gaze that made the smaller blush a bit. He looked down at Loui’s hand, which was being held out in between them?? "What’re ya doin’ amor? My hand is right here silly." He said with a slight chuckle before holding up his own hand for the younger to see. When Loui didn’t react, he smirked, grabbed Loui’s hand, and spun him around before dipping him close to the ground. He laughed a bit at the smaller’s small squeak of surprise and kissed him on the cheek.

Next up: Texas

Honestly Loui didn’t know what to expect when he decided to put his hand out for his taller bf to take. Would he be confused? Would he hold his hand? He didn’t know. What he most definitely did not expect, was for Texas to f*ckin’ grab his hand a place a gentle kiss on top of it.

Texas laughed when his smaller bf started blushing and smiling like a little dork. He picked him up for a second and gave him a quick peck on the lips, laughing again when Loui tried hiding his face in his chest.

Third up: New York

Loui noticed that York had been acting a bit strange during the meeting earlier and decided to go check on him to make sure everything was alright. He managed to sneak past the rest of the NE to get to NY’s room, and was relieved to find his door unlocked. He quietly snuck in, closed the door behind him, and jumped onto York’s bed where the Empire State was laying completely zoned out.

And because he was zoned out, he definitely didn’t expect the Pelican State to jump on him, and nearly let out a small shriek when he did.

"Oop- sorry Cher, didn’t mean to scare ya." Loui said, though York could tell that Loui meant to scare him. The smaller just laid there with his head on the older’s torso and smiled at him sweetly.

"It’s fine I guess."

"Are ya aight doe? Ya looked a bit off at da meetin’ today."

"I’m fine Mags, the smoke has just been fogging up my mind and I’ve been zoning out a bit lately. Nothin’ to worry about."

"Are ya sure?"

"Yep."

"Okay den."

Loui crawled over to the taller and laid next to him, an arm wrapped around his waist and his chin on top of York’s hair. After a couple of minutes, he remembered the challenge thing he was trying out with his bf’s and put his hand out where York could clearly see it.

York looked a little confused at first, but after a few seconds he just grabbed Loui’s entire arm and cuddled it like a damn teddy bear. Loui barely managed to keep himself from squealing at the adorable-ness coming from the normally stoic Empire State.

Number 4: California

California was sitting on the couch with his switch when Loui came into the living room and laid his head on the taller’s lap and smiled slightly at the taller.

"Pfft- Hello to you too Mags." chuckled the Golden State. He gently ran his thumb over the side of Loui’s face before turning back to his game. A few minutes later, he felt something on his shoulder. He looked out of the corner of his eye and saw the smaller’s hand resting palm-up on his shoulder. Cali snorted slightly before grabbing the younger’s hand, planting a gentle kiss on top of it, and holding it close as he continued playing his game.

And once again, Louisiana was left a blushing mess.

And finally: Gov

It was around 3am, and Louisiana honestly didn’t feel like traumatizing the rest of the household that night, so he decided to accompany his workaholic of a boyfriend, who was still up doing work. He quietly sat next to where Gov worked and scrolled through his phone.

That’s when he decided to take this as the opportunity to put his hand right next Gov’s to see what he would do. He noted how the older jumped a little bit, but nearly melted when Gov grabbed his daintier hand and held it in his bigger/more-muscular hands and gently ran his thumb over his hand with a small smile.

new video proving that LO wrote Stockholm dropped

spread this one as much as you can. most of the sources there have been shared before or i knew about it so i don't have really nothing new to add there. we all know already that LO wrote that series. we know that many of the themes, story beats and characters she used on that saga she keep reciclying even to this day. as i was reading the summary of the entire saga provided on the description, a couple of thoughts came to me: 1. remember how twilight submits her wife, who she gets very enraged by pretty quickly, to extreme abuse on a daily basis and that includes many instances of rape that are so frequent that the police in this universe are just tired to hear about it? that twilight is also the only dark skinned character of the entire cast. LO wroter her only dark skinned protagonist being an abusive furious monster with her wife, a white woman. not only that, her mom, who is written to be a serial child molester with her own rage issues that "run in the family" according to the story, is pressumably also dark skinned. but even if she wasn't, the fact that twilight, who was also molested as a kid herself, and that is used as justification for why she rapes ascentia, is still the only dark skinned character who get any relevance on the story is rather concerning. this is not something that she really changed either. alaina is also her very first dark skinned main character and she gets constantly treated as a indiscriminate killer whenever she feels like it. a character that has so little control over her emotions that she actually electro shock an elderly leah for making a bad comment and has calmly mindcontrolled people into commiting suicide. but just like in stockholm twilight's horror is often dampened by she being "wholesome" and "soft" and "loving her wife", we're not meant to read alaina as the monsther that LO wrote her as because... she loves her wifes and giggles at flowers. 2. ascentia in one of the stories just decides to kill herself when she discovers that twilight is cheating on her with spike. but not only that, her own daughter sunrisea develops a incestuous crush on her and later on ascentia accepts to have a sexual relationship with her, while sunrisa is still 16. remember that on the universe of Scar, that came much later, ascentia's daughter mag also has a incestuous crush on her and everyone blames it on ascentia using too tight jeans around her daughter. another example of LO reciclying her ideas on her work. 3. if you never read about stockholm pass the first part then you probably don't know this, but on the second part of the story rainbow ends up institutionalized after molesting scootaloo, her adoptive daughter. there rainbow somehow makes one of the voices on her head come to life and this new character ends up being called cielle. there's a lot more going on with her that the video goes into (which is why it has to be watched), but the point that stand out to me is that cielle at some point becomes a pornstar and dyes her hair blue or purple. the only picture that exist of tara calie, the fake identity that LO used to catfish a lesbian into being sexual with her, is of a woman with purple dyed hair. the picture itself was easily found to be a random one anyone could grab from google. cielle is also described a "loli" with huge... attributes and a childish disposition. 4. there's at least two sex scenes where a baby is involved. i do mean baby, not toddler, as a creature young enough that they use diapers and can't properly talk yet. the other characters just do sexual acts in front of the babies, comment on how there's a baby on the scene while they do the sexual act and continue on. on the two of them ascentia is involved and she never seems to care about what she's doing with her own daughter there. velvelt, twilight's mother, is heavily implied to have SA twilight while she was a baby and twilight herself might have also touched her own baby (but she was a victim first so nobody holds it against her). there's too much babies involved with sex on this story.

5. sunrise (ascentia and twiklight's daughter) and spectrum (rainbow dash and fluttershy's son) are witnesses to a lot of the sex that goes on between all of the adults. the adults themselves never do any attempt to tone down their conversations about the sex they're having in front of the children. sunrise's actually traumatized by this, but no one does anything about nor they think of slowing down or stopping. sounds familiar to the modus operandi of certain creator? sunrise and spectrum are both 6 year old during a big part of the story. celestia is revealed to be a pedophile specifically attracted to 5 year old kids. celestia is the character that LO defended as a "benevolent dictator" because she's so maternal and amazing that everyone just loves her. suddenly the sunkaku porn account make a lot more sense, don't they?

Hugo: I was short on time! I had no better choices!

Wolfgang: Really? Aren't there thousands of Christmas songs out there?

Echo: And we have the Skaletones on speed-dial, couldn't get them?

Hugo: (storming off) Well, if you're not satisfied with my choices, then why don't you pick the songs out!

(Hugo storms off, leaving Echo and Wolfgang with the stereo system)

Wolfgang: ...I have a really horrible idea. (whispers it into Echo's ear)

💠 (Favorite level) - That would be the Creepy Citadel from SSA! A lot of nostalgia and just immaculate gothic dark fantasy vibes and such a good finale for the undead section of the game. Also the perfect aesthetic for Hex, I always use her in that chapter. Honorable mentions are The Oracle from Giants and The Golden Arcade from Imaginators.

❌️ (Who's your least favorite Skylander) - Honestly there's a lot of Skylanders I simply don't care for despite having them. The one I actively dislike is Lightning Rod because of some rather unpleasant characterization in one of the books but Fist Bump is a close second for having a (personally) bad design and for insulting Déjà Vu, you don't do that.

💚 (Who's your favorite non-Skylander character) - Similarly I don't care much for the NPCs either but if I had to pick my favorite from the bunch it would probably be Mags, she's a fun gal! Cali also comes to mind but then I remember how much she yelled at me for breaking some pottery and she goes down the list /hj

☔️ (Which game was your least favorite) - Extremely popular opinion: Imaginators. I tried to like it but it's just so rushed and the ending is such a cruel slap to the face. Underwhelming chapters (few exceptions as seen above), removed a lot of great stuff from previous games, BUTCHERED the Academy and don't even get me started on the story and overall writing. Its one saving grace is the Skylanders roster, which is my favorite from the franchise, but besides that there are only a few other positive aspects I can think of. The Imaginators were a fun concept that I was excited about but ultimately kinda fell flat for me and I just ended up using the senseis 90% of the time. The selfie (picture) feature was great and they put effort into the character movesets, so I enjoy playing it for them but that's really it.

✨️ (Which game was your favorite) - And my favorite game is Spyro's Adventure! Call me a nostalgic fool but that game will always hold such a special place in my heart. If you asked me what Skylanders is at its core I would point you to that game. It has this beautiful world design with a really magical medieval rpg flare which hit all the right spots for me. Every character felt unique and gave you an entirely different gameplay experience and the SOUNDTRACK god. I literally can't listen to the main theme without tearing up it means so much to me. It has its flaws obviously, but to me it is the perfect game and I will always enjoy taking out the first portal and replaying it, it's the absolute best way of reliving my childhood.

"I assume you know why we've asked you here today?" Jack questions, sitting with his arms crossed and body tall, Quinn next to him with Luke on the eldest's other side.

An incredibly confused Trevor sits facing them, still in his boxers from bed.

"Know why I'm here? You physically pulled me from the guest room and down the stairs. I wasn't even allowed to grab pants!"

Trevor complains, looking over Jack like he lost his mind, a fact that the Ducks player figured out a long time ago.

"You're here because you are interested in our sister, and that requires a chat," Luke notifies, also looking stern, yet neither boy looks as terrifyingly emotionless as Quinn, who clearly is the most ticked with the boy across from him.

"What? Why would you think I'm into Mags?" Is the question out of Trevor's mouth, and if it hadn't been his best friend and two boys he had spent the last few summers with, they may have believed him.

But that wasn't the case.

"Lying isn't going to help your cause," Quinn is the one to advise, finally speaking up. "I've seen you around girls before Zegras, and you're different with Maggie."

"Because she's your sister!" Trevor defends, looking between the Hughes brothers like they're crazy. "Do you want me going around trying to get in your sister's pants?"

"That's the thing," Jack speaks up, finger pointing across the table, full of energy. "You aren't trying to get in anyones pants for the last year!"

"And that's a problem?"

"It's not a problem, it's just not you," Jack amends, "I even talked to Jamie and he said you've been calm in Cali."

Trevor sighs, running his hand down his face. "I'm not getting out of this, am I?"

"Not even remotely," Quinn assures, his brothers nodding.

"So, when did you know you were in love with our sister?"

"I never said love!" Trevor argues, pointing his finger accusingly at the youngest Hughes. "But I think I realized I liked her when we were kids."

"No shit," Jack grumbles, rolling his eyes. "She was waiting for us to finish USA practice so Quinn would pick us up and you literally elbowed me while we were on the ice and said 'who's that gorgeous girl?'."

Trevor just shrugs, smirking at the memory. He had been attracted to Margaret Hughes since he had seen her that day, waiting for Jack to finish up practice by reading in the front row seats of the rink the team used, little outfit still on from her ice skating practice.

"What can I say, she's gorgeous. With personality to match," the Duck complements, smiling softly at the idea of the now woman, no longer sixteen like when they had met.

"So, do you have something to ask us?" Luke questions, as serious as before, but when Trevor looks over the boys as confused as when he came downstairs, Quinn steps in.

"I believe he's looking for you to ask for our blessing."

"I like the idea of this," Jack states cockily. "On your knees Zegras."

"Never for you Hughes," He responds, knowing in his head that there's only one Hughes he'd do that for. "But, I would like Quinn's permission. For, you know, if I ever decide to, i don't -"

"Dude, are you stuttering?"

"Trevor," Quinn interrupts before the boy can be teased too much by his younger brothers. "You've had my approval since Jack dragged your ass in our front door. Just be careful, cause I will kick your ass. No questions asked."

"Trust me, I'd let you," Trevor assures, reaching out to shake the older boys hand, completely unaware of the girl hidden around the corner, bright smile on her lips.

the capitol - i subscribe to it being in salt lake city, utah.

district 1 - i've always imagined it as being in southern california, just because that's where hollywood and beverly hills are. luxury district, land of celebrity... los angeles makes sense to me. i could also see it encompassing las vegas, to bring it closer to where the capitol is located.

district 2 - it's a mountainous area near the capitol, so i've always pictured it in denver, colorado.

district 3 - it only makes sense to me for it to be in san jose, california, the home of silicon valley.

district 4 - i picture it as being in northern california. in thg, katniss sees the lights of another district and wonders if it's 7 or 4, so they might be near each other. katniss also suggests in catching fire that part of the reason she has trouble understanding mags is because of her accent making words indistinct, which seems consistent with norcal. then in mockingjay, finnick tells a story about a sea turtle, so district 4 must be somewhere warm. cali checks out.

district 5 - i imagine it being a very urban district (explained more thoroughly in my foxface meta), so i think it might be somewhere that was already very urban in the beforetimes. possibly chicago?

district 6 - i could either see it being in detroit, michigan, where the automotive industry lived and died, or more centrally located at the intersection of various railways, like st louis, missouri.

district 7 - in as long as i'm burning (shameless self-promo), i've placed it in eugene, oregon.

district 8 - i imagine it being close to district 12, since bonnie and twill were able to make it there in catching fire. since they pass through there on their way north to district 13, i think it's somewhere in the midwest. maybe ohio.

district 9 - it's the grain district, and most of the usa's wheat comes from kansas, so it's probably right in there.

district 10 - as the livestock district, it's probably in texas and oklahoma.

district 11 - probably takes up a broad swath of the south so they can work the land, but i've always pictured the largest settlement as being in georgia.

district 12 - i always pictured it in west virginia, but the first movie was filmed in north carolina, and based on the accent suzanne collins used for lucy gray here (contains tbosas spoilers), i think it could go either way. west virginia works better imo because it's closer to where i think district 8 is.

district 13 - since the cover story for their industry was graphite, i could see it being in upstate new york. there used to be some graphite mines up there.

as for the time period... the original script for thg says that the series takes place 300 years from the present day, but personally i think it's more like 300 to 400 years. i could see the technological advances described in the series could probably happen on a timeline of only 100-200 years, and the natural disasters described in chapter 1 could happen even sooner than that.

but based on the changes in dialect and naming conventions between now and the time of panem, i think 300-400 years makes sense. that's analogous to the time between now and 1600 - so their english would be intelligible to us, but still markedly different. (of course, given that amount of time, accents could be very different to what we recognize, rendering my points about mags and lucy gray obsolete... but since the books are written in present-day english and not some projected future dialect, i think we can assume those accents are tied to what we would recognize.)
