I honestly think Peng's outfit is a bit boring compared to the others, I don't dislike it, but it's kinda hard to do much with they're body type since he's a bird demon.

(BTW, I used Erraday's (twt/insta) art of Yellow-tusk as a reference for his body type/pose because.. I literally cannot find any decent references for anthropomorphic elephant characters - at least none that fit my vision of the character)

- Around the time Azure became the new Jade Emperor, Peng was nothing but confident. He knew everything was becoming what they planned, and if a little chaos happened to follow, so be it. They felt at this point that they more than deserved the benefits that came with Celestial royalty. And through them telling you all they wanted, they included you as well

- Peng had talked to you a lot about what would change when everything came together in the days leading up to it. Now that you were here, with them all, in the Jade Emperor's palace, he talked a lot about the promises he wanted to fulfill. He wanted to make you more comfortable than you've ever been. To give you the nicest rooms in the palace (to share with him, of course), and the best that royalty could offer

- When things started going downhill and the fighting began, Peng wanted you to stay behind. They were confident still that this would all end in their favor, and told you to just sit back and enjoy the palace

- When they flee from the battle, it was to come back for you. They filled you in on the situation through snark and sneering and offers then and there to carry you out of this situation to safety. There's no way you can help in the fight, so he at least wants to ensure you both make it out in one piece

- Yellowtusk, meanwhile, tended to hover around your side out of worry while in the new Jade Emperor's palace. He tried to warn the other two about the impending problems, but it wasn't getting through to them. He turns to you to talk about the situation, hoping for some support, or at least someone who understands where he's coming from

- He finds comfort in your presence, feeling calmer whenever he's around you. The situation as a whole still troubles him, but with you he feels a little safer and less alone

- When he's out trying to reach the heroes, he's thinking of you the whole time. He wants you to be safe, and he doesn't feel that this is the way to do it. That risking tearing apart the universe itself is only harming you more. So he sets out, looking for a way to fix everything, to keep you protected

- Azure was constantly reassuring you that everything was fine. That despite the cracks and jolts of pain, he was okay, and everything was going exactly as he should. You don't believe it, obviously, but while he accepts any attempted help, he still tries to convince you that it's alright

- Even in his crumbling state, he tries to keep you happy. He talks about all the good this is going to do, how this could help them all and how he's so glad you're a part of it with him

- He is slightly more open with you than he is with Peng or Yellowtusk, though. Even if it's through small comments or faltered expressions, he confides in you just a bit. You help to make him feel this is all worth it, because he's doing this for you as well. You just hope that when this is all over, you can finally convince the great lion to relax

Despite the rude joke, love languages? I'm not sure if you're asking how we show love or how we prefer to be shown love... I know I tend to lean towards acts of service myself when giving, and I would say I'd like to receive it the same way.

Quality Time, even if that time is just me and my future partner doing our own things in the same space. Just the knowledge of preferring each others company is enough to show love in my opinion.

It would just be Azure for love.

Peng would be irritated about her (will not admit he likes her wings). They're rather stuck up about her being in the group (even though she's not actually in the group) and even tries to change the way she dresses.

Yellow Tusk sees her as a friend. He would want to have tea with her and hang out so he knows her but has no romantic feelings for her.

Basically, Peng and Yellowtusk only allow her into the poly because she is for Azure and not them. Of course, that being said, she does not agree with this situation at all. Neither do her mates even before they are officially mates.

They can't seem to pinpoint why it annoys them so much that Azure is so flirty with this maiden. Maybe its because their brother is flirting with the enemy <Their mate>.

In short terms it's just Azure who likes her.

Yes, he is! I have talked about this before but you have to know about the Golden Peng's sister, the Peacock. Just know that yes they are different species but their mother was a Phoenix so a little bit of species leeway is allowed.

Peacock was actually the one to have a relationship with Buddha himself as she once swallowed the Tathagata into her belly. The Tathagata planned to kill Peacock in a fit of rage after he cut open the peacock's back to escape. But the other Buddhas believe that the Tathagata killing Peacock would be like harming one's own mother considering that Buddha escaped her living body. As such instead of killing the one that ate him, Buddha granted Peacock the role of his godmother, considering that he learned another lesson and gave her the position over him.

Because of this connection, Golden Peng has said that he is the Buddha's Uncle as his sister is his godmother. This is what makes Golden Peng to be the highest amount of the Camel Ridge Demons and thus making him an equal for Wukong to fight when they were doing their 3 verse 3 battle.

“And, in recent news, a new hero has arrived in Wàn Qiān Chéng…” On screen, a hero in glimmering gold loomed over the wrecked city. His laugh rang in the air as he pulled out a red and gold staff. “So far, little details are known, but what can be known is that his name is Qi Xiaotian, believed to be age 21-” The TV shut off.

“And that’s what I found.” The Gold-Winged Peng crossed his arms, staring at the TV like he was tempted to throw a spear through it. “Sun Wukong has found that child he was searching for.”

“He’s just a boy,” The Yellow-Tusked Elephant hovered by the window, looking over the city. Over the centuries, Lion Camel Ridge had transformed into a marvelous city. They had done their best to make it into a paradise and there was almost nothing worth threatening the city or their people. “Sun Wukong’s son or not, there is no way people will take him seriously.”

“Please, people said that about Wukong,” Peng opened a cabinet they kept and reached for a fridge in the back. A bottle of red wine was something he grabbed with a grin. Yellowtusk shook his head at the offer. There was no response from the third person in the room. “And look at him!” The cork popped out and he poured himself a glass. “A menace of his own creation! His son will probably be worse!”

“The boy-”

“Is probably marked as a weapon of Heaven!” Peng’s cackle was harsh enough to make everyone wince. “Knowing that bitch of a lapdog, they were probably the first he showed him to!”

Yellowtusk sighed. “Your opinion, Azure Lion?”

The third of their group had been quiet through this conversation. The head king sat on the couch, mouth set in a firm line, gripping the pillow. His eyes were locked on the TV. His eyes briefly flashed purple before he blinked, looking between them.

“He sounds like a risk,” he finally said, tapping his claws against the pillow. “Getting close to Sun Wukong, however, is always a risk.” None of them could forget the threat their former sworn brother had given Azure when he had rescued the monk.

Stay away. Or Heaven will make you regret it.

“So, what shall we do?”

Azure stood, brushing himself off of dust. “Keep an eye on him. See what he does. I want to know everything about him.” If he was like he hoped and if they played their cards right, maybe they could restart the alliance with Flower Fruit Mountain. A smirk formed across his face.

And maybe another shot at Heaven.

Yo I was rewatching the backstory bits of season 4 and I have a question.

So, Macaque, Wukong, DBK, Azure, Peng, and Yellowtusk all fought against heaven and lost. All but Wukong, however, managed to escape. DBK Married Iron Fan and built a family. Macaque, it seems, went off on his own after his fight with Wukong under the mountain as he is not shown during the flashback to when Azure built his utopia on Camel Ridge.

However.

There is also a flashback showing Macaque talking with Peng, Yellowtusk, and Azure *after* the utopia was built. Specifically, they are discussing Wukong’s changed allegiance - and Peng in particular is trying to convince everyone to attack Wukong first (because they're a bitch). We never see an end to that conversation, though we assume Azure ended up agreeing with Peng. We don't know for sure what Macaque said, but given that he was hesitant to attack Wukong, knew that Azure was a hypocrite, and did not end up in the scroll, we can assume he did not fight with the brotherhood against Wukong.

Now here's the interesting bit: in JttW, Macaque is killed well before the brotherhood fights Wukong.

This is my question: do you think the Macaque we see in that last flashback has already been killed by Wukong and resurrected by LBD, or did they completely F up the timeline and put Macaque’s death after the Camel Ridge fight? Also, in either case, when was LBD imprisoned, keeping in mind that she has to be free to make a deal with resurrected Macaque?

In Swap Au the beginning of season 4 is slightly different from the canon one.

Macaque steals the scroll from the underworld and plans to use it to trap Wukong. He keeps it hidden for a while, waiting for the right moment to use it but Mei finds it and opens it by accident, getting her mentor stuck in it.

The young dragon panics and asks Tang for help, hoping that the century-old monk will have some trick up his sleeve to help them. Alas, the only way to free Macaque is to go in themselves, but not before having warned their friends about what was happening and asking them to keep an eye on the scroll while they are inside of it.

They struggle for a while to find where the shadow demon ended and in the meantime end up reliving a few points of the Journey West.

During their travel a mysterious inky figure has been chasing them, forcing them to retreat always just before they could get them. It's then that Mei and Tang meet Azrue. The lion acts like he's a redemption villain, trapped in the scroll for his past mistakes that he now regrets and offers the two his help with keeping the inky creature at bay while they look for their friends.

All of that is obviously a rouse and instead of finding and freeing Macaque, they free Azrue's sworn brothers, Peng and Tusk.

But to everyone's surprise, the two sworn brothers don't want to follow Azrue's plan and are actually and are actually really concerned with the lion's obsession with Sun Wukong.

Azrue storms away, taking the scroll with him and the inky creature he had managed to leash under his control.

Next thing the heroes know is that Heaven is at war and the monkey tyrant is winning

(Context: Erlang Shen leads a solo attack against the Camel Ridge trio as he wasn't there to defend the Jade Emperor, so now he's making up for it. He knows there's a chance he won't survive but if he can get his hands on the pilgrim's old weapons and get them to MK and the gang then perhaps that will tilt the odds in MK's favor.) Azure: Where is he!? Where is he? YellowTusk: Keep your voice down. We'll lose the advantage. Azure: It doesn't matter he has that eye! Peng: The weapons! ... They're missing! YellowTusk: He's using the darkness to hide his approaches. Azure: He's just one god, but he won't fall easy. Our best chance is to strike him in the darkness Peng: We know these halls, the odds can be tilted. Erlang: *popping out of nowhere* You think I don't know this palace!? I built it!

monkie Camel Ridge Trio questions/ponderings.

In the episode "The Plan Man" we see Peng and Yellowtusk among the remains of a meal.

Peng complains there are no cup bearers and we are lead to believe that there is no kitchen/house staff period.

Who the hell cooked the food? Did they just magic it out of nowhere?

Also someone is a really messy eater: I recall a half eaten drumstick lying about and just random noodles everywhere.

Is it cannibalism for Peng to eat poultry?
