Columbo and the Knight (1984)

put me in the universe where Columbo ran through the 1980s and had a crossover episode with Knight Rider. I think they deserved it, and I am not just saying that because they're my two favorite Old Shows. @telebeast wrote a little fanfic blurb about it and I HAD to visualize it into a comic (which is also the longest comic I have finished thus far at five pages...), so writing credit goes to them.

In the past month, I’ve seen:

A “community cat” with a fractured jaw, respiratory distress, and massive hemorrhaging after being hit by a car

A kitten with one fractured leg, one severely lacerated, and another degloved (skin removed) with torn ligaments after being found in the street

A young cat unresponsive with an uncontrollably high fever due to a tick-borne disease

A beautiful, well-loved kitten who stopped breathing due to a suspected brain bleed and was unable to be revived while preparing for surgery to repair a shattered pelvis after being hit by a car

Again, all these happened in the past month. And these are just the really bad ones I can think of off the top of my head.

All these cats, except one, are now dead.

But yeah, free-roaming is good for cats. They know how to take care of themselves.

Eddie is a menace to society at large and a menace to Hopper at small.

The thing is, Hopper can handle Steve. He is generally polite and stays on the sidewalk. He wouldn’t even be a problem if his neighbors would quit calling the police on a ‘suspicious criminal in the neighborhood.’

But Eddie? He doesn’t even live in Hawkins.

He comes for the summer to stay with Wayne and disappears at the end of August. Then he comes next summer weirder and more unhinged than he was the year before. Hopper can’t acclimate to this kid!

It does not help that he’s Wayne’s boy because Hopper likes Wayne. Hopper’s wife is out of town with their daughter and he’s actually listening to her for once and inviting some guys over to watch a game. He should have expected that - “This is Eddie.”

“We’ve met.”

Eddie gives him this shit-eating grin as Wayne explains that his neighbor was going to watch him but something came up but, “He’s quiet. He’s making a comic book. Maybe he’ll show you it when he’s done.”

Wayne sets Eddie up in the corner with some colored pencils, they crack open a beer, and then there’s a knock at the door that should be Powell but instead -

“Mr. Hopper!” Steve Harrington’s little squeaky voice exclaims in surprise. The kid is sweat-damp and has light scratches on his legs and arms like he was, “-walking in the woods…I’m lost!”

Before Hopper can even say anything, Eddie is marching in front of him like, “Let me handle this. This is boys night. No babies allowed so go away.”

And then he slams the door in Steve’s face which, no. We’re not doing that.

“I thought you were making a comic book so I could read it?” Hopper asked Eddie, trying to shoo him off because he’s about to play fifty questions of ‘who’s supposed to be watching you?’ with Steve and it’s easier without an audience. “Go do that.”

“Do you even know how to read?” Eddie asks. “My daddy says cops can’t read for S-H-I-T. That’s why they’re always tryin’ to get in places they don’t got no warr-ant for.”

Wayne sighs heavily and Steve chimes in before Hopper can even respond like, “My dad says people become cops if they’re too dumb to be lawyers.”

“I believe it.”

Before Hopper can respond to that, Eddie looks in the pocket on his tshirt and frowns, “Uh-oh. Uncle Wayne, I lost my frog!”

And then they spend the next two hours trying to find a goddamn living frog in Hopper’s goddamn house while Eddie Munson explains the lack of thought process he had for putting an alive frog in his pocket.

The car is HAUNTED?!

So there is this fanfic where Danny is injured and possesses Batman’s cape until he can recover. What if instead, he possesses the bat mobile? Like, now Danny has access to all of this weaponry and can move around at will. Danny swerves to protect the bats from incoming projectiles and can fire to cover for them. The bat-mobile has suddenly started to show up whenever they need it either for a ride (and the bat-mobile has a camouflage mode to look like a normal car) or they might be calling for backup and no one answers when suddenly, batmobile comes tearing down the road. If they are being chased, Batmobile fires missiles at their attacker, if they are trapped in a building, batmobile drives through the wall. If they just need a coffee, batmobile shows up (and somehow obtained it from a drive through). At first, everyone thinks that the batmobile just got an update in its autopilot systems. Or that the autopilot is acting out. Then they realize no one uploaded anything and start freaking out. (They might also assume it could have been hacked but they can’t fine anything unusual in it’s servers and it’s only been helping them). On one hand, the batmobile has been really useful lately. On the other hand, is their car haunted?!

Imagine Constantine knows something is wrong with the car and Danny chasing him around because it’s fun. Then freezes when one of the bats comes in like a game of red light green light. Sees Bats: red light. Freeze. Sees Constantine: GREEN LIGHT! GOOOOO!

cars should all look the same shapewise and there should only be three sizes (S, M, L). you have to prove that you need a larger car for certified work, family, or personal reasons. you also have to prove that you can park it well and responsibly. three infractions and you have to downsize. different colours are okay as long as they fit the palette of the specific area.
