My grandpa is flipping through channels in the other room & I heard “-rla is LA’s finest h-” before he flipped to the next channel & I INSTANTLY recognized it as 911. I can literally picture that scene in my head bc I’ve screamed about it so many times 😂
Probably gonna have to watch it a few more times before I gif it into deep meta posts.
But it was emotional and sweet, and I really loved the Chimney and Hen journey guides.
And I'm pretty sure dream Bobby was more Peter than Bobby, loved it!!
It was clear why Eddie wasn't there and why Bobby was dead in that reality. It was heartbreaking and touching and amusing (angry guy and ghost Bobby),
The end felt a little like "dream a little dream" from spn with the two Evan Buckleys. Hell of a scene, well done Oliver!
I was a little sad and somewhat confused that Buck went to the loft with the stairs, so much for no strenuous activity. (For someone who recovered from surgery in a house with stairs, it's freaking hard.)
At the very least, if not the Diaz household (which was the obvious choice) the Han resistance would have been nice. No stairs, house full of family.
Or the Nash home, Bobby and Athena would have loved to have Buck there for the duration, and no stairs!
I don't know, didn't feel very convincing.
I think I'm happy (is that the word)? That Buck gets his bio parents taking care of him for a while. He wanted that, in his dream world, maybe reality will be kind too for a change.
I love Jennifer's and Oliver's interaction, the affection is so clear.
Eddie and Carla sneaking Christopher to see Buck was such an amazing scene, Eddie’s "I couldn't tell him no." Really got me to tear up. And apparently, Aisha wasn't the only one who teared up. 🥺🥺❤️❤️❤️
Athena's "Wake up!" Was completely reminiscent of TK's mom in LS yelling in his ear (even though there she was completely a dream) to wake up.
Athena is totally Buck's mom. Like May said to Bobby, Athena brought two kids into the marriage, and Bobby brought one. - The best father-daughter scene so far! I loved it!
Eddie will probably get his own mini meta for all that we got to see of him, but the scenes were framed in a hurting spouse waiting for his significant other to wake up, while having to be a functioning adult to their kid.
And Eddie may not have had a full crying scene, but he did cry with Christopher in the room as Christopher talked to Buck.
In 4x14 it was during covid time, Buck couldn't physically be there all the time, I think that what made the difference here.
But I'll be honest, I'm a bit disappointed we didn't get a one on one scene with Eddie talking to Buck.
It felt, like 4x05, that this episode was more Buckley family oriented- the ending, I mean, than Buck returning to his chosen family, who he himself sought out in his coma dream to help him get back.
So it felt nice to see the parents' attempt at redemption, but also a bit forced and a little out of place.
The Buck with the X on the Ley was a foreshadowing for this episode. Dream Bobby tells Buck that he saved him by being Buck.
Being Buck saved Bobby, and it saved Eddie and Christopher. And I am still mad we didn't get to hear those words out of Eddie yet, but for some reason, the writers are holding back on the emotional confessions between those two.
Now Chimney's and Buck’s and for that matter Hen's and Buck’s siblings relationship is all out there to see, hell even Albert's connection to Buck is an obvious annoying (but sweet, I was so happy to see him again!!) little brother role.
Even May, subtly suggesting in this episode, that Buck is sort of a familiar fixture in the Nash household and a sort of brother to her through Bobby's marriage to her mom.
But there is no clear way to describe Buck's and Eddie's relationship because it's not a sibling one. It's way past work partners. Best friends don't act like that (unless they get together eventually), Co-parents? Isn't that a couples thing? It's not platonic, I'll tell you that.
And the fact that we're 6 seasons (5 since Eddie and Christopher joined) in and still have an unclear path written in canon really bugs me sometimes.
But, all and all for a 43-minute episode, it was really good, fun, and tear jerking, I loved all the little markings in the dream, that reminded Buck of core memories (that started with Eddie’s voice, and the tsunami with Christopher. 👀)
I loved this episode and am really waiting for "Recovery".
Oliver said that his caretakers and all the hovering get a bit too much. Now, knowing his parents and Maddie look after him, I can see where this is going to go.
And having already watched the promo, I really hoped Bobby wouldn't get into this much trouble, but sadly, he does, it's very Buck of him, just saying lol like son like father, I guess? 👀❤️
Caveat: I am up-to-date on all 911 episodes. For my reviews, I attempt to rewatch and remember my first impressions. I will occasionally, compare it to what I know now. I’ll try to warn of spoilers that are current when necessary.
Emergencies: The first emergency is for a roller coaster malfunction. The emergency has a Buck focus, and the outcome leaves one of the victims dead. It wasn’t Buck’s fault, but it was his first loss. It hits him hard. For a show like 911, we know they can’t always win so I wasn’t surprised that someone didn’t make it. It has to happen. The rescue didn’t end well, but it was a good story to tell.
The second call is from a man cornered by a couple of Dobermans. Athena makes the rescue with a couple of burgers. The man leaves only for Athena and Hen to discover, that they helped a burglar escape. Athena doesn’t let that go; by the end of the episode, she has him. After all, the idiot called 911 from his cell phone.
The third call is for a window washer hanging from a building. Buck pulls back because he’s afraid of losing someone else. Not doing the job makes him feel worse.
The fourth call is a guy threatening suicide because he believes his wife is cheating on him. Bobby encourages Buck not to pull back. Instead, Buck pulls off a rappelling move to save the guy. It was a great save.
The final emergency is a cliffhanger. Athena finds her 14-year-old daughter unconscious from taking an overdose of hydrocodone pills.
Personal Stories/Getting to Know: We are getting to know Buck in small increments, but by the end of the episode there is a better picture of who he is or who he wants to become. Buck has already started to think about changing from his womanizing ways, and the tragedy on the roller coaster has him focused on something other than his libido. (Therapist aside) We get our first glimpse of a guy who genuinely wants to help people, and then have him face that he can’t always help everyone. This gives several opportunities for him to interact with other characters like Bobby, Athena, Abby, and Chimney. That is a definite plus.
We also get another look at Abby. She now has a connection to Buck through a first-episode 911 call that he was able to assist her and Athena in resolving. If you remember episode one, Buck had a small redemption arc by helping them, which earned him a second chance with Athena. It also made Abby curious about him. In episode two, she finally gets a peek at what he looks like when he is interviewed on the news about the roller coaster accident. Abby is older than Buck, but she is not creepy-older so I can see the potential there, and frankly, women should be able to dip below the line occasionally just like men do.
Athena and Michael are still working through their post “Michael coming out to his children story arc.” Some of how they interact is still intimate which has the potential to send mixed signals. Professionally, we see Athena in her work element. I am such an Angela Bassett fan. Queen!!! We also get to see her friendship with Hen. Special shoutout to Hen for her honesty. “Athena, spoiler alert. Your husband likes boys, so that ring ain’t gonna’ be on much longer.”
Bonus: We meet a new side character, Carla. She’s sassy and smart. This opinion never changes.
Subtext: I’m not great at picking up subtext unless it is blatant, so I’m not going to say there was no subtext in this episode, but there was none that I noticed.
Likes/Dislikes: One "like" for episode two is the way that the aftermath of the first emergency followed Buck's story for the episode while simultaneously not overshadowing all the other storylines present. Another plus is the conversation between Buck and Bobby about loss. By the end of the conversation, Buck has redeemed himself from the a*$hole he was in episode one. I can say this even though he slept with his therapist which I consider more of a failure on her part since she was supposed to be the professional in that situation.
Ships: Buck/Abby, Buck/Therapist-- The therapist was a one-shot to remind us where Buck is coming from, so it's safe to remove Buck/Therapist as a shipping possibility. However, Buck/Abby has all the elements to indicate where Buck is trying to go. It's still early, but the phone conversations, the way Abby initiated them, and his thoughtful response to being asked out all of those things have the foundations for a good ship. I'm pulling a dingy out of the bag to test the waters.
Favorite quote from this episode: There were a few great one-liners. See above for Hen’s, but the winner goes to Carla, referring to Buck and asking Abby, “You know that big hunk of man meat?” LOL That whole conversation between Carla and Abby was so good I had to rewind and watch it twice.
Rating: Four Stars. Mainly because we are still getting to know people.

MAIN MASTERLIST → CHARACTER MASTERLIST (2) → MAIN STORY MASTERLIST
Actor AU Headcanons for some of my favorite SNK/AOT characters!
1) Tea with honey is a staple resource on set due to the amount of screaming that the show requires. Eren was, naturally, the one who made the most of that tea during the earlier seasons. However, he was able to temporarily trade off his reputation as a screamer with Zeke, given that his character became more solemn and quiet as time went on. And, well, Zeke's character couldn't be what he was without the screaming.
2) When the iconic members of the 104th training corps met Levi for the first time, they caught him while he was method acting, and were intimidated. Little did they know that, outside of work, Levi has a very warm, kind, and charismatic personality. This catches both actors on set and fans off guard due to the stark contrast it provides against his character's demeanor. He finds it very, very amusing.
3) While we're on the topic of contrast, Hange actually finds titans very unnerving to look at, unlike their character. They typically don't have to encounter many due to most titans being animated via CGI, but there are some (like Sawney and Beane) that were constructed for "authenticity of reaction", much to Hange's chagrin. They maintain a professional front as much as they can. The only one who knows about their discomfort is Levi.
4) Mikasa breaking the floorboard in the scene where she strikes the human trafficker was entirely an accident. According to her, the floorboard had been unnaturally squeaky, but it was the last part of filming for the day, so she and the stage crew agreed to power through it. The poor girl apologized profusely, but Eren argued that it made the scene cooler. It seems as though Isayama agreed as the take was kept, though the audio team had to do some extensive cleaning to wipe out all the gasps and cries of shock that came from the unnatural breakage.
5) Sasha and Ymir are roommates who were both approached by a casting agent while volunteering at a food pantry. Ymir, though intrigued, was almost 100% sure that it was a scam, while Sasha did the research to check and dragged her friend to attend the auditions for shits and giggles. When they got their respective roles, they freaked out. Sasha almost dropped out, out of fear for what her family would think for being reckless, but Ymir urged her to take charge of her life, because opportunities like these don't come by.
6) The plot point of the Attack titan being able to send memories across time distresses Armin due to his belief that there are several timelines/futures that Eren's character could have chosen to follow rather than the one that was settled on. Isayama had to formally ask him to not discuss it during interviews, because the two of them knew that if Armin began his tirade, he won't stop.
6) Grisha and Carla are neither Eren's actual parents (in fact, Grisha is not even a father outside of work) but they both care about him as if he was their own since they saw him grow up on set. Zeke likes to joke that Grisha's method acting is spectacular in that way, since it took Grisha a bit of time to warm up to Zeke due to the latter's later appearance in the show.
7) The boy in the ending credits scene with the dog is Mikasa's little brother. He was always a big fan of his sister, and when presented with the opportunity to be a part of his sister's bigtime project, he took it with both hands eagerly.
8) The first scarf that Eren wraps around Mikasa was the only scarf that they used throughout the show. It has gone through a LOT, and is threadbare in many places. Despite this, Isayama refuses to have it mended. In an interview, Mikasa admits that she had gotten used to wearing the scarf, so during scenes when she wasn't supposed to wear it, she felt very exposed and empty.
9) Annie and Armin have a lot of deleted scenes/bloopers regarding their interactions for when Annie's character was in the crystal. In one scene, Annie is seen to dancing inside her crystal behind Armin as he monologued. In another, they switched places.
10) Connie and Jean are the ones to curse the most frequently after botching a scene. The others keep a tally on how many times. In the end, Connie barely ended up cursing more than Jean by two times. Connie's favorite curse words are "damn" and "shit" while Jean's is any variant of "fuck" like fuck, motherfucker, fucking hell, etc.

“What do you want to do?” David's rough voice finally broke the heavy silence that had enveloped the five of us. Standing across from him, I observed the faint glow of his cigarette as he dragged the addicting nicotine deep into his lungs, the tendrils of smoke curling and dispersing into the air like a phantom dance.
“The Boardwalk?” As I contemplated for a while, I finally gathered the courage to ask. Having spent quite some time in Santa Carla, I realized that I didn't quite have a good grasp of the town. It seemed that the heart of the town revolved around the events and attractions of the Boardwalk. Despite the hour being only 9:38, I was not yet prepared to conclude the night. The four men concurred with my sentiment, and Paul took the opportunity to claim having me on his bike.
As we reached the bustling boardwalk, my boyfriends convinced me to hop on the beautifully decorated carousel and then take on the towering Ferris Wheel. The laughter and excitement, like a symphony of joy, echoed around us as we enjoyed these classic rides. After we disembarked, Marko, with a casual yet deliberate movement, draped his arm around my waist, offering a comforting and warm gesture. As the chilly ocean breeze swept in, I couldn't help but shiver, feeling the contrast between the cool air and Marko's comforting presence.
“David,” Marko called out, ever vigilant to my comfort. David twirled around, peacoat billowing around his leather-clad legs. “Let’s head to the cave.”
“You cold, kitten?” David let out a soft hum as his eyes leisurely swept over every contour of my body. He couldn't help but notice how I shivered in response to the crisp, cool ocean breeze. With summer on the verge of fading into memory, the air was already hinting at the approaching colder months. Stepping closer, David gently stroked my cheek with his smooth, leather-clad hand, his touch providing a stark contrast to the chill in the air. As I nodded in acknowledgment, I struggled to suppress the involuntary chattering of my teeth, a testament to the penetrating cold.
Even though David was soft with me, I was still shocked to witness him begin to pull off the peacoat. Underneath his peacoat was another jacket – a shorter leather jacket that exposed his legs covered in black leather. He handed his peacoat to Dwayne, before peeling off the second layer – the leather jacket.
As David nonchalantly slid his jacket off his shoulders, my gaze was drawn to the sight of a sleek, black t-shirt molding itself to the contours of his well-defined muscles. The fabric clung to him like a second skin, serving as a testament to his physical prowess. As he wrapped me in the supple embrace of his leather jacket, I found myself enveloped in a mixture of scents that seemed to define him - a rich blend of leather, tobacco, iron, copper, cinnamon, and a subtle hint of something spicy. Once he had shrugged into his impeccably tailored peacoat, he motioned for us to make our way towards the waiting motorcycles.
I felt the rush of excitement as I straddled the back of Marko's sleek and powerful motorcycle, enveloped in the worn, protective embrace of David's supple leather jacket. My fingers delicately brushed against the soft, breathable fabric of Marko's well-worn cropped white t-shirt as I held on securely, savoring every moment.
“Behave,” Marko let out a low, menacing growl as his intense gaze shimmered with an almost unearthly light. I could have sworn his eyes flickered a captivating shade of gold for a fleeting moment, but the sight was gone before I could fully focus. Marko repositioned my hands with a tender touch, prompting a lighthearted giggle to escape my lips. Before riding off, I leaned in to kiss his cheek gently, feeling his skin's warmth against my lips. As we set off, I nestled my head against his back, feeling a sense of contentment as I exchanged a smile with Paul, who winked playfully as he rode alongside us.
The four guys were riding their motorcycles at a much higher speed than I had experienced riding with them in my first experience. As the wind rushed past us, my heart started fluttering and palpitating, making me aware of the increased speed. I felt a sense of apprehension as we zipped across the beach, skillfully swerving in and out of the crowd of people enjoying the last vestiges of the summer.
“Don’t be scared, Aria!” Marko's voice echoed as a sly smile formed on his face.
“Breathe,” David decelerated his motorcycle, matching his speed with Marko's, and positioned himself side by side with him. He locked eyes with me, and I was captivated by the intense gaze of his pale blue eyes, feeling my heartbeat gradually slowing down in response. His lips curved into a warm and reassuring smile, filling me with a sense of calm and contentment. “Hold on tight to Marko.”
As the four men rode their motorcycles into the dense, dark forest, the sound of the engines echoed through the trees, sending shivers down my spine. Their excited shouts and cheers filled the air, creating an atmosphere of wild exhilaration. Despite my trust in them, I clung onto Marko with such intensity that my joints ached with the effort. The rush of adrenaline and the unfamiliar thrill of the ride left me feeling both anxious and alive in equal measure.
They finally came to a halt, with the thick fog engulfing them. As I released my grip on Marko, I inhaled deeply, feeling the oxygen rush into my lungs. I dismounted the bike, my legs feeling unsteady as I took a few wobbly steps before emptying the meager dinner I had consumed onto the ground.
“Are you okay?” Dwayne inquired with concern, his large hand gently spreading out along the expanse of my back. As I nodded in response and wiped my mouth with my hand, a wave of lightheadedness washed over me, causing me to straighten up for stability.
“I'm Sorry. I get airsick,” I apologized to the four males for throwing up. “It's not your fault. I promise Marko.”
“Are you sure, baby?” Marko's face contorted with distress as he bit down hard on his thumb, his brow furrowed with worry. In response, I offered him a warm smile and a nod to convey my reassurance.
“Alright, let’s go into the cave,” David finally spoke, placing his hand on my lower back as he gently guided me toward the enigmatic cave.
Hello! I am Julia, I am a 20 y/o writer and AVID reader. I am apart of SOSOSOSO many fandoms! Here are fandoms I will write for. (Keep in mind that I am just getting started writing again. Please be patient and know that I am doing my best. I am still in uni so it may be hard doe me to upload as much as I'd like. Please please send me any and ALL requested for characters that seem appealing to you!!) But, here are some things I will NOT write for. Racism, homophobia, transphobia, incest, stepcest, necrophilia, somnophilia. I am writing smut and all you'd have to do for a certain character is dm me or request it !;)
I like the episode. I was expecting something different. But it was really good.
Oliver was amazing. His panic. The desperation. And then evil doc? OMG, his eyes. The look.
Eddie was too little to see. That was a shame. But what we saw was pure emotion. Tears! Breaking the rules. Chris sneaking into the room. Yelling at doctors to do more. Before that, climbing the ladder without a safety device to save Buck.
I don't understand the frustration. Buddie is still possible for me. Something terrible happened. They deal with it in the next episodes. And then we'll talk about feelings.
Oliver said something about the meaning of the couch in his last scene of the season finale.
Eddie next to him? They recognise their feelings for each other. What do you think?
My dear Anon, I am happy you liked the episode.
Oliver's performance really was amazing.
Lol, I find it really funny that ppl refer to his alter ego as evil. It's that inner voice of his, that voice in the back of our minds that says everything we're afraid to acknowledge out loud.
He looked cocky, confident, and mischievous. There was a smidge of Oliver in there that I loved!
I do, in fact, feel a bit sad that we didn't get to see more of Eddie, but I agree, that what we got was absolutely amazing, and heartbreaking and touching, I was in literal tears with Eddie all throughout that scene.
And Christopher, insisting on talking to Buck, and Hen stepped in to explain, because it was too painful for Eddie to talk about all the machinery Buck was hooked up to, it was a pure gold moment. I love that Hen was the one to be there and bear witness to the whole thing.
Eddie’s "do more!" and him and Carla collaborating to get Christopher into the room really shouted all there is to know about the nature of Buck’s and the Diaz boys' relationship. And I did love every second of it.
Indeed, I do think that dealing with the aftermath will be done later on, and I'm hoping that the writers will give us as delicious Eddie supporting Buck as we got to see Buck supported Eddie in s5b.
Oliver did insinuate that the couch's meaning, interpreted by the fan is of the right nature, so imo, all is not yet lost.
I do hope for a buddie happy ending because, at this point, they earned it. 💜💜
