ER veterinarian: *reviewing patient's history* "and what food does your dog eat?"

client: "he eats yams."

vet: "... yams?"

client: "yeah, yams."

vet: "just yams? nothing else?"

client: "yeah."

vet: "the only food that you feed your dog is yams? no supplements?"

client:" "just yams."

vet: *increasingly distressed* "you cannot feed your dog only yams, ok? you NEED to feed something else. that is a very unbalanced diet and could be what's making him sick."

client: "well what should i be feeding?"

vet: "dog food! kibble, canned, anything from a pet store!"

client: "but that's where i buy the yams!"

vet: "what?"

client: "you mean i have to feed a bunch of different brands??"

vet: "what?"

(it was discovered, much to the vet's relief, that the client was mispronouncing the brand name "Iams")

I LOVE your sex shop stories so much and how you tell them with just the right amount of frankness and spice without being salacious. bit envious too tbh, i love telling stories but all mine are horrid (fleeing family after being outed, becoming survival sex worker) or kind of gross (sex party with bukkake slip n slide) so i just..dont tell stories from my life. sorry if this is tmi just want to express my appreciation

Honestly, there’s stories I don’t tell. Things that are really rough or that I don’t want to share, but it’s really all about finding the lens through which people can relate to something. Like a dramatic reenactment of having to kill a spider isn’t an experience unique to me, I just told it in a relatable way.

If you wanna share stories, there’s always an angle.

the most devastating part of ghosts not being able to eat or drink? now edwin can’t watch the world judgmentally while holding a teacup. if it was possible, forget his magnifying glass and detectives’ journal, there’d never not be a teacup in his hand. charles would have to dedicate an entire compartment in his bag of tricks to edwin’s collection of tea services.

hear me out but. vet (as in. animal vet) ghost w soap who has a very embarrassing crush on him, and gets the very smart idea to ask him out by pretending his dog's sick so he can go and see him

except he never quite finds the courage the first few times

so he just. keeps going back. with this animal that is very well cared for and absolutely loving life at the vet's, whilst johnny keeps fumbling over his words and never quite managing to explicitly ask ghost out

(he eventually musters up the courage. ghost is very charmed and pretending he isn't. bonus points if soap's pet somehow managed to get them into a fluster-y moment. ye classic rom com lead ties two people up moment.)

When he was found he was already severely matted so I haven't seen his actual fur. Based on his feet and wild ear hair though I'm pretty confident he's a medium or longhair. I'm leaning towards an actual longhair because he looks like someone tried to make the biggest abomination of a persian possible, but only time will tell
