I always think of myself and my work as something that sort of sits behind the curtain. The idea that it might take up space in this way is unreal!

You know what's even ironic,the fact that Kaufman is still in love with navier even though she's now pregnant with heinreys children. And the fact that kosair,naviers brother is a violent man that caused him to be outside the borders and how he even goes tok far as to feed rashta abortion drugs is so scummy. How the hell didn't navier even stop or at least call them out for their shit?

Because Navier doesn’t care. Slavery is a huge problem in her empire but she barely bats an eye at that when we’re supposed to believe she’s this ‘fantastic empress.’ Honey- where??? ((Stop congratulating people for doing the bare minimum lol)) It’s really just a bunch of telling but no showing especially for a story that should be a bit more politically involved?? Plus We really don’t see her interact with the lower class save for that magical orphan who- as we see has to be magical in order to get said attention in the first place! How ironic would it have been if she’d been originally pushing to end slavery before Sovidiot brought in Rashta?

Ngl Id actually be more sympathetic to Navier as a whole as despite her cold exterior it showed that you know she was actually pushing for reform for the lower class citizens! But nah she can’t be bothered to deal with peasants.

But back to your point- Can someone please tell me what the whole point of the Kaufman/Navier plotline was? Because honest to goodness it sounds like pointless drama to extend the story length at this point. Either that or just show how irresistible goddess Navier is.

Someone once reblogged/replied to my last post and said that no one in this series is a morally good person. That’s fair. I agree they’re all pretty terrible people in their own ways. Honestly I’ve said it time and time again. I don’t have a problem that they’re terrible people.

Good characters =/= good people

What irks me is when the novel disrespectfully handles heavy topics like slavery and trauma to build up its Mary Sue fl. The whole story markets itself as being some pro feminism revenge story but it’s really not? It doesn’t feel like at least half of the cast gets their proper comeuppance? No seriously- Sovieshu should’ve kicked the bucket. Heinrey and his creepy friend should’ve been held more accountable to a higher degree as well.

Navier isn’t a girl’s girl at all. To both the character and story’s fault Everyone must either worship her or hate her. No one who disagrees with her is allowed any sort of meaningful empathy that Navier in my opinion is sort of undeserving of. (Anyone is free to argue this- but she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and everything magically works out for her. I’m supposed to feel more sorry for her than the girl who was sold by her abusive father into slavery?) hahaha no.

At this point I’d advise people who actually want to see a pro feminism story with political intrigue to read ‘I’ll Saved this damn family!’ Now that’s a story that can treat other women who aren’t the fl well and promotes pretty good relationships between them too.

I was so busy waiting for the next update of once bitten that I didn't realize until yesterday that you'd posted something else! I just read lady's first and oh my god. oh my god holy shit oh my god.

I almost cried several times, and somehow, against god's will, you've caused me to develop a crush on your fem!alastor specifically. I just want to hug her so bad. your writing never fails to be funny, sexy, emotional, and thoughtful all at the same time; I love love loved reading your note at the end about alastor's relationship with gender. your portrayal was such a perfect balance of her still being alastor while also clearly being affected by a different upbringing/socialization. ugh, I love your writing so much.

I also think this and your 666 series has proven to me that I am SO here for alastor tentatively asking for friendship and vox not being an asshole about it. I love -- and I think this is what I find appealing about hazbin in general -- seeing the worst sinners in hell find something warm and happy together in the middle of all the bleakness. lady's first and I love her, I love her not are going to be tucked into a warm place in my heart for a while, I think. maybe forever.

Aaaaa, thank you so much! Yeah, Once Bitten is going to take a minute to update because I've been on a road trip and not written anything at all for over a week, haha. But Lady's First was my mental break foray into a softer radiostatic dynamic and also because I cannot seem to unhinge my jaw from the death grip it has on putting Alastor into compulsory heterosexuality situations and all the processing required to deal with them. Yes, there IS more coming. Sorry, blorbo, you are now here for me to work through the current concept I'm hyperfixated on.

I forget if I've mentioned elsewhere, but I actually expected a lot of people to give Lady's First a pass because it's M/F and because it's a genderbend, so it's genuinely really touching to me that what possessed me in the writing of it has resonated with many others as well! I'm especially glad that the characterization came through and made sense with the specific changes I made—and big handshake on wanting soft resolutions for these literal demons from hell, hahaha. Unpicking their humanity is my favorite part of this fandom!

aw shit everything between Calanthe and Pavetta just hurts. All the ways that Pavetta is just totally abandoned by her mother in service to the kingdom it’s like she was groomed to be the perfect victim for Duny/Emhyr to take advantage of. She’s starved for love and desperately wants someone to think she matters. I feel like we get to see so little of Pavetta, she’s barely a character in the books and we didn’t get a lot in the Netflix show. I’m excited to see what else happens this episode with her.

Huh so she doesn’t suspect about Duny yet she thinks a creature is prowling the castle? In the books wasn’t that Duny and Pavetta having sex? oh I love how how clever Calanthe is in this. She gathers all this info on Geralt and then does all she can to set herself up to look like the most reasonable side I love it. It’s such a great way to show her political performance skills in just a few minutes to the audience. She’s keeping the child of surprise claim hidden from Geralt and trying to make sure he’ll kill Duny by telling him he has a monster form. Everything she does is very clever here and I love it

Calanthe is so fascinating. A terrible mother a brilliant queen. Smart yet has a temper that can undermine her.

Geralt’s advice is interesting. It’s smart quick thinking but also it fails to think long term which are what Duny/Emhyr’s goals actually are.

always this interesting push/pull dynamic with Calanthe and Geralt she tells him she’ll keep him in her heart but also confirms that witchers can’t ask anything of kings. I feel like I can’t quite be sure if it’s real or not. Maybe in spite of herself Calanthe does feel a connection with Geralt (not necessarily romantic or even something that would stop her from using him but something you know)

Duny just could let him go without one last jab huh? This is fate

(BROSKIS! i kid you not, on my" top 10 most evil woman i wish would dom me" list, she is on my number one spot, i just rewatched the movie cause i remember watching the original series as a kid and wanted another go at nostalgia, Imotep's gf had nothing on this woman.) -Finally, after years of archaeologist dig-sites with nothing but dust, you've hit the mother lode of digsites -on the edge of Iraq, you found (Well two army jar heads found) the mother of all dig sites, an Egyptian tomb that wasn't in Egypt -after some heated arguments, you finally were given permission to raise the tomb, as you raised the tomb from a pool of mercury, you felt a sense of dread and foreboding crawl up your spine, a swarm of camel spiders(Creepy little fuckers) bit into a solider, thankfully camel spiders aren't venomous, what sucks was that the camel spider was carrying something a whole lot worse -on the plane, the Solider that was bit wasn't looking too hot, he looked even worse, as if in a trance, when he shot the pilot and caused the plane to crash, only for you to die.....HAHAHA NOT -you wake from a dream about Egypt's sands and a beautiful princess, what was strange was here eyes. her eye's gave the message of something more sinister, that was until her pupils split into 4 that you woke up in a body bag with a toe tag -After scaring some morgue workers and getting your stuff back, you head to the closet bar for a drink, after finding out your in london, you call your family and let them know your safe. -You stand outside the bar thinking about what your gonna do next, The tomb! you had to get to the tomb, you asked for directions to the crash site and took a taxi there -You snuck in and hoped no one would see you, as you snuck around, you heard a couple of police radios go off, you took off running toward a church nearby, as you entered, you were struck behind the head with a candle stick and you blacked out - as you woke up, you felt hands holding your extremities, you look up and see, HOLY SHIT THOSE ARE FUCKING ZOMBIES!!!! you tug and tug and tug but to no avail, as you continued to pull, you felt a weight crawl on your chest and saw.....her -in a strange way she was alluring, her grey skin and her black marks were....gorgeous, she felt up and down your chest as you tried talking to her, only for her to open your mouth and examine your teeth, her smile as she finished.....oh that smile -"We will be together soon my love." she said, but she said it in Egyptian which confused you on how you understood her, she knocked off an angel statue to find a dagger, "What are you doing with that?" you said -She leaned down and kissed you on the face and the neck, her lips were cold and wet, as if death was caressing your face, she raised the dagger, panicking you struggle harder, she arubtly stops when she finds out that a certain jewel wasn't in the hilt of the dagger, as she was about to knock you out again, a set off men came in with harpoons and fire at her, penetrating her sides -You immediatly get up and bolt for then door, only for a tranq dart to hit you square in the neck, you fall to the floor, the last thing you see before you black out is here Alluring but evil eyes of the woman as she stopped her screaming and gave the most wicked smile a person could give, Oh but those Eyes...

I JUST this year found out about 3tan and I have GOT to say that seriously, I LLLLLOOOOOOVEE your works, like 3tan was the first one I started but the first chapter had me hooked and by the second chapter I was DEVOOOTEDDDD TO YOUR WRITING, like it all feels very organic, I can immerse myself so easily in this story and I loooooveee the way you write Every. Single. Personality. In this work like, they make sense, shit I love Jimin being such a real one, I love how I can feel the anxiety and tranquility after every intrusive thought and every reassurance, it's all very guttingly beautiful, I feel like crying cause it's such a great work, I had to remind myself to stop for a couple hours cause I was reading at work and by the time I read it at home I'd started pulling all nighters without even noticing cause it's just so gooooood. I was feeling so elated cause I hadn't felt this avid about a story in so long and had mostly just read one-shots and by the time I finished I just needed to read every work of yours and oºoºh my god, I'm still not done but seriously, I wish I had a book cabinet with a podium of favourite amazing writers and works cause yours would easily be within the top 3, little light shining on it and glitter glittering around it, the holy music in the background, the whole works. Seriously thank you so much for your work, I'm thaaaankful for finding your work because even at the dialogue and internal thoughts, they all clicked so good. I could just go on and on about this (I need a whole essay on this or easily a rant channel or smn idk) because I love it so much but I'm not even writing this right and I'm so hype and I hope your food always taste grate, your blankets always feel like safety, your mornings always feel great, your coffee always taste good and warm, your friends always make you feel loved, your favorite movies/series/books/works are always within reach for you and I hope you feel loved by the ones you love every second. I am sorry but I don’t think you understand Raph’s character at all if you just think he’s the angry one always starting things. He’s way more complex than that and you being incredibly close minded. If you can’t see past his flaws like you can the others I feel sorry for you. You probably think Leo is flawless and can do no wrong.

Firstly, it's you're instead of you. I know you're mad, but maybe slow down a bit.

Secondly, you're actively blind if you think I said that Raph is always starting things. My exact words where "I feel like Raph tends to start them". The key word being "tends". Meaning not always, but a good amount of the time. And I feel like you're basically ignoring a lot of cases where Raph actively make things a problem when they weren't, or when there IS a problem, he just gets pissy instead of like....idk talking. (And I feel like you're actively ignoring that he's legitimately characterized to be the "Do first ask later type" in most versions! Hell, his 84 version is incredibly violent! Do you just....not know that or??? And they changed that in the 87 version where he's more sarcastic then angry. Again, something I mentioned in my Raph post.)

And way to go, assuming you know a damn thing about me! Cause guess what, I'm aware Raph is more complex. In my Leo post, I talked a little bit about how I related a lot to Leo because of the role I was forced to play as a kid. But the thing I didn't mention was that...I also relate to Raph quite a bit. I had massive anger issues growing up too. And they where due to a lot of reasons. But the two biggest ones where:

I didn't understand quite how to deal with situations were I wasn't being listened to or taken seriously.

I cared a lot about those around me, and when I felt they didn't care back, it made me feel a way.

TWO THINGS THAT I KNOW RAPH FELT IN SEVERAL VERSIONS TOO! Doesn't mean he was right to act the way he did. But he's a teenager, and I was a child. I can look past all of that. But, can't erase the fact that he could and did act like a complete shitter in a lot of situations without really...any good reasons. And it got them into some deep shit.

But, I can see that he owns up to most of it too, and apologizes when he's gone too far. I had to learn to do the same. And I will commend him for that.

And as for the Leo thing, again just proves you didn't read what I said once more in my Raph post. I outright stated "Leo does seem to be making the worse choices in those arguments (Glares at Bayverse Leo)" I'm aware he's not flawless! For fuck sake, in 2003 (Season 4), Bayverse Out of The Shadows, TMNT 2007, and in fucking RISE, Leo could be a REAL piece of work! And I feel, just like with Raph, things could've worked out a lot better if they had just....talked!

And I'm more then capable of seeing the flaws of all my favs and can still like them despite there flaws! And the opposite could be said for characters I'm not as jazzed about. Like with Raph. I'm more then capable of seeing past his flaws and can see why people like him. Don't mean I gotta tho.

All I said in my Raph post was that I don't really like him and never really have. I don't hate him, just don't like him. I saw a part of him that reminded me of some of the worst parts of myself growing up, and it can rub me the wrong way when the shows just don't let him show off his more softer side and grow as a character. (A fault of the writers you dipshit, not the character itself! He's not real so he can't actively change if writers don't let him.) And after all of this, I wouldn't wanna see him gone from the series, cause without the whole team, the TMNT fall apart.

But you saw that I don't like Raph, and immediately jumped to calling me "Closed minded" and making some pretty, gunna be honest, closed minded assumptions about how I must view a fictional character over another. Well, says more about you then it does me in the end!

aaa.. i really love your fics. i havent read them all yet but im in love with your The Last Song, especially In Another Life. TLS broke my heart into pieces (the last chapter), i wont lie that i didnt read it in full (i cry easily at puppy videos, im not sure i can handle Eren dying. especially that version of him). nonetheless i will apply what Eren said in IAL, the series has been a great experience for me. not only because Eren was literally written ineffably, but because i really learned a lot and i was able to relate so much.

im still having a hard time accepting the whole death talk in general, because (i feel like such a loser hahaha, but im happy because—-) i love him so much, but i should try and learn (note:try). and apply.
