“Why didn’t you say anything?” Chan asks, and it’s suddenly very obvious that it was not disappointment what he thought he saw in his expression. It was worry. Concern. There's a lump in Big's throat. He can't get any air in. “I didn't think it was important,” he says truthfully, his voice coming out in a whisper. Something flickers in Chan's expression, quick as lighting. It's gone before Big can pinpoint what it was. *** Or: Chan helps Big get dressed in the mornings. Big tries to pretend he feels normal about that.

Chan takes a step back, looks him up and down, and frowns.

“Where is it?” he asks, his eyes wandering around the room.

“Where is what, sir?” Big says, confused.

“Your—ah, there."

Big doesn’t fully understand what he’s talking about until he sees him walk up to his bedside table and pick up the hair band he left there last night.

And then, because apparently the universe has a twisted sense of humor, Chan gestures to the bed, and says, “Sit.”

That can’t mean what Big thinks it means.

“Sir, there’s no need—”

“Big,” Chan cuts in, his voice carrying a bit more weight this time. It makes Big straighten his spine immediately. “Sit.”

And Big can’t say no. If Chan asks him to give a logical explanation, he won't be able to. It's not an option, after all, to say that he’s afraid that if Chan stands too close, if his touch lingers for too long, he’ll be able to somehow read between the cracked lines of Big’s practiced expression and see all his hidden truths lying there, bare and breakable and weak.

Before his eyes betray him, Big ducks his head in a nod and does as he’s told. He sits down and turns to face the bed’s headboard, keeping his eyes fixed on the wall and keenly aware of Chan’s presence as he moves to stand behind him.

“Has anyone told you you can be absurdly stubborn?” Chan asks, right before his fingers begin threading through Big’s hair.

Big closes his eyes against the sensation, willing himself not to lean into the touch and locking his muscles to stay still.

“Not recently,” he answers truthfully, and hears Chan huff a short laugh behind him. He ignores the way that sound makes him immediately want to smile back.

“I’m glad I remedied that situation,” Chan quips back, and Big is glad he can’t see him roll his eyes in response.

When Chan's hands fall away, Big misses his touch immediately. But he doesn’t get much time to process that, because Chan walks around to stand in front of him and Big has no choice but to look up and meet his eyes.

Chan seems to be assessing his work and, after a few seconds, he nods, seemingly satisfied.

And then—

Then he's reaching out, gently grabbing a loose lock of hair that sprang free from Big's ponytail to slowly place it behind his ear.

The intimacy of the gesture makes Big’s breath stutter; it catches in his throat and, in the silence of the early morning, it seems to resonate loudly in the room.

The moment must last only a second but is more than enough for a clear image to cross his mind: Chan’s touch, lingering, and him turning his face to place a kiss to the center of Chan’s palm in response.

still not over the fact korn murdered porsche and chay's family and then planted some lousy gambler as their guardian who ruined their lives and put them into constant debt that drove porsche to risk his health and life street fighting. it's insane. especially bc in the later episodes arthee showed a scary lack of care towards porsche, calling him naive and stupid, trying to extort him using his dead family, he did not give a shit. people don't just change like that overnight, he didn't just get evil and uncaring, that stuff was already there. and he was picked to look after two traumatized children??

korn must have done that on purpose, either to put porsche in a constantly vulnerable state he could later exploit, or to keep him busy so he'd never have the time or capacity to think too much about his family's past. there's no way he didn't know.

one of my other favorite scenes in kinnporsche is ep14 at the 22:01 after the montage of everyone prepping for the Hot Dude Summer Mafia War and Gun pulls up in like a bently or some shit and walks out in fucking BOAT SHORTS with his god damn ascot while Vegas is wearing his sexiest animal print/suit combo and Daddy Chan walks out, like no rush no fuss he's working that New York.gif-I-know-his-dick-big-I-know-it-oh-my-heart walk hands in his pockets b/c this bitch is wearing boat shorts like he's going to one of Leo DiCaprio's yacht parties later and Gun is all "heard my brother who I totally loved and had no ill feelings for towards at all has died" and Daddy Chan is like "how'd you find out we didn't send you a letter" and Vegas is like "look here bitch" and Daddy Chan gives him a look like "Don't make me name drop the name of your dead hedgehog" then the camera does a dramatic close in pan of Gun's face after he pulls out his gun so you get all the fine details of his fucking ugly ass ascot and untrimmed goatee not realizing Daddy Chan's dick gun is bigger and Daddy Chan is like "I won't hesitate bitch" and then BAM GUN MATRIX LEVEL GUN FIGHT NO ON CAN AIM BULLETS FLYING EVERYWHERE BREAKING MARBLE STATUES WHICH ISN'T HOW BULLETS WORK AND NO ONE IS HOLDING THEIR GUNS CORRECTLY AND BITCHES BE DROPPING LIKE IT'S HOT LEFT AND RIGHT Gun gives Vegas some automatic and is like "it's your time son (that I've abused horrifically for years)" and Vegas' cheekbones are like "Papa is validating me" meanwhile Daddy Chan is taking out badly dressed goons channeling his inner John Wick looking sexy as fuck when Gun shoots him and Daddy Chan is like "I can't believe a bitch in boat shorts got me" calls up Kinn to be like "your uncle is in the building with a gun wearing boat shorts my bad" and takes out one last cigarette to give the girlies and gays one Final Sexy Daddy Moment before dying

you ever think about how chan was aware of the entire kittisawasd situation and just lived with that? man seemed so unbothered by the fact that korn shot his sister's husband, locked his sister in the attic, abandoned her children, and then employed her oldest son to be their bodyguard years later?? it's so wild to me, chan likely knew baby porsche, he knew nampheung, and now like 15 years later that same baby is on their front steps accepting a job as his trainee and chan just,,, goes along with it no problem?? does not say a thing?? I mean i dont expect him to blurt out secrets but i cant imagine how weird that must have been for him?

not to mention the fact he KNEW that porsche and kinn were "cousins"??? man KNEW they were semi-related (or fully related, for all he was told), and he just,,,, stood there. unbothered. whatever. not his business. man saw them making out knowing full well porsche's mom was in the attic and they were half-related and he never said a thing.

i wonder what other kind of messed up things this man has seen to become the king of being unbothered. it's almost impressive
