Harry/Ginny: I love them. I just think they’re great idk. They’re such little shits individually and it’s so fun seeing that come together. They’re one of my favorite canon/het ships and I don’t think that will ever change, they’re just such a comfort pairing and I think they balance each other out really nicely. Overall rating: 10/10

Harry/Ron: Best friends to lovers excellence. They remind me of prongsfoot but? In a much? Softer way? I love the idea of Ron slowly showing Harry what it feels like to truly be loved and that it’s okay to want to be taken care of. I can definitely picture them in a poly situation with hermione, like with Ron dating both of them and it’s just a lot of co-parenting loveliness. Overall rating: 9.5/10. I love them but I do prefer each of them with other people

Harry/Fred: Sure. It’s fun and cute but I don’t really think much of it? I like Harry with both of the twins but for some reason him just dating Fred has never really done much for me? I literally have no clue why, it just doesn’t stand out to me. Although I do like the idea of them pretending to date just to torture Ron. Overall rating: 5/10

Harry/George: I actually fucking love this ship and I have no clue where all the love came from. I like to imagine them getting together during gof or post-Hogwarts. I love the idea of Harry being there for George after fred dies and kind of becoming an anchor for him. He helps out around the shop and makes sure George is taking care of himself but he doesn’t let himself be used. I love them your honor. Overall rating: 10/10

Harry/Percy: I’m intrigued by this pairing. I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen it before but??? Now I want content for it??? So if you have any percy/Harry content please hit me up cuz the angst potential is delicious. Overall rating: 7/10. Percy turning against Harry when Voldemort is back? Sign me up.

Harry/Charlie: No. It just doesn’t really do anything for me. I don’t really spend much time thinking about Charlie and when I do, I usually think of him as aroace so. Overall rating: 2/10

Harry/Bill: Listen I love Bill so I’m gonna support all of his ships, but they have the potential to be really sweet (and hot). Maybe they end up sleeping together when the golden trio is staying at the cottage and from then on they’re just filled with dread from not knowing if the other is even still alive. It’s just…idk I really like this pair and I want more content. Overall rating: 8/10

drabble prompts!! // thanks for the request!! 25. "Who's the one on top now, huh?"

Cho grins down at him wickedly.

A simple 1-on-1 Quidditch practice had become a wrestling match on the ground over the Snitch, which Harry had firmly gripped in his left hand. That's how they ended up on the field, Harry trying to pin her with his free hand and failing miserably, and eventually giving in to let Cho take the upper hand, straddling his waist, grinning at him.

"Who's the one on top now, huh?" she asks. "Give me the Snitch, Harry."

"I caught it fair and square!" he replies, clutching it tight to his chest, but he can't stop smiling like a fool. His cheeks are flushed, partially from the exertion, but also because she has him flustered beyond belief.

"Give it to me," she says again, all teasing and gleaming white teeth. "Or...I'll..."

"You'll what?"

Cho pauses, thinking. She clearly hasn't thought that far, and Harry tries to take his chance and roll out from under her, but she catches on and instinctively grabs onto his sides, making him yelp.

He watches the realization in her face, that Ravenclaw intellect working to help form her plan. Harry's green eyes widen as her fingers begin to dance over his sides, and laughter begins to spill from his mouth.

Cho's giggling along with him when he finally lets go of the Snitch, letting it roll off his chest and onto the field.

However, when Cho goes to pick it up, those little silver wings pop out, and it goes flitting away into the sky. She watches in surprise, then looks back at Harry, and seems to decide that he is to blame for the Snitch's behavior.

Her fingers find his ribs, and the Quidditch match is quickly forgotten.

Hinny (Harry x ginny): super cute but feels a bit too perfect in cannon 8.5/10

Harmony (Harry x hermione): too much like brother and sister but cute as like a school boy/girl crush 4/10

Drarry (Draco x harry): there are multiple reasons why i hate this but in short this would be toxic as hell -45/10

Lunarry (Luna x Harry): literally perfect they would complement their personality’s very well 100/10

Ronomine (Ron x hermione): ron was a massive dick to hermione which i hate but they are cute together (i am also a sucker for friends to lovers) 8/10

Rarry (Ron x Harry): i love friends to lovers (seen above) it would’ve been amazing 10/10

Linny (Luna x Ginny): A lovely ship but i haven’t read much fanfic on it 9.5/10

first: thank you @microficmay​ for putting on such an incredible challenge! what a month! this was my first time writing microfics, and as someone who considers themselves a maximalist, stylistically, this absolutely lived up to its billing as a challenge. i won’t pretend it wasn’t difficult at times, and i won’t pretend there weren’t days where i sat on my couch and glared at google docs, begging fifty to be more words than it is. but i’m (gird your loins) proud of myself for sticking with it. it was in the end a very lovely time.

“What the fuck is that?” Charlie pants. “Is it new?”

Harry lifts his head and blinks. His vision is blurred around the edges. He lost his glasses somewhere between the kitchen counter and the living room couch. Maybe when he pulled his t-shirt off.

“What’s what?” he grunts. “I can’t see shit.”

Charlie laughs and slides his fingers over Harry’s forehead and up into his hair until he has Harry’s curls in a loose grip, enough to turn his head. 

“That,” Charlie says, draping himself over Harry from behind.

Harry moans and arches his back, grasping harder at the arm of the couch for balance. His knees slip against the soft leather, but Charlie has a firm hold on him as he ruts away, his breath a hot gust against Harry’s right ear.

Harry can’t see it any better now, but he knows exactly what Charlie’s talking about. He knows exactly what it looks like: garish, ostentatious— 

“Ridiculous,” Luna had said appreciatively the night Harry invited his friends over to look at it, the day after he’d consumed one too many cocktails at a gallery launch in Shoreditch and left ten grand poorer, the proud new owner of a neon arcade sign depicting Mary and her infant Christ. He’s not sure what had compelled him exactly, beyond the rum. He doesn’t even believe in God.

“It’s from—oh, fuck,” Harry groans. “It’s from a gallery up in Shor—oh, fuck, don’t stop, I’m coming—”

“It’s the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen,” Charlie says, and Harry comes all over the expensive upholstery of his antique Chesterfield couch.
