Isn't the "Meghan is such a foodie" thing from her Cory days? I remember reading (in Revenge by TBower) that it really annoyed Cory when she started doing that. People who knew her said she took all the talking points from his personality as a professional, avant garde celeb chef and made it her own. Even his signature recipes.

Then back in her Trever days, she went in and on about the craft of movie making and being an insider. Allegedly Trever is a really out going personality, loves to network and is quite slick/glib. People have also said he is super confident, laid back, know-it-all type who is good at his work. So she took that from his personality, learnt the ropes of networking and enterpreneurship from him and launch Tig.

From Jessica, she learnt the ropes of high-end, trust fund baby lifestyle. Used all get contacts and social accumen of knowing the right people, getting in the right circles and curating an 'instagram aspirational' lifestyle (at least superficially) and became a wannabe lifestyle guru.

I won't say she somehow glommed onto Catherine and took pieces of her personality to make her own. I think all of her past cosplays and successful grifting made her believe that she was a better copy of the people she was copying. She measured her success by the print and media coverage she got and from what she made people believe she was. So, she thought being a better Catherine than Catherine herself was easy. And she got mad when she couldn't hack it.

And she couldn't have it because she couldn't control the media coverage. Her PR was limited in face of how much people saw her live, in action at various events. Especially the events she didn't think we're important.

Behind closed doors she could convince Harry that she was a better royal than born royals because he is just dumb that way. If you criticised the people he doesn't like he will love you and that's what she did. But also, the biggest factor in her failure is garty himself.

Had he not been the way he is - with his own issues and grievances and entitlement and resentments and nasty reptilian nature- then she would have successfully become the best royal to ever royal. She would have stayed in the BRF, did her Hollywood thing, been half in/out, made money merching and the brf would have just covered it up for her.

I do think she hadn't counted on Harry having his own 'Hollywood Harry' dreams.

I don't think Harry had Hollywood dreams. His dream appears to have been "British aristo in the US," where literally everything he had in the UK, he had in the US. He had no interest in Hollywood other than using them as replacements for the British aristo circuit he left behind in London. And if you look at everything he's done here in the US, that's pretty much what he's done. Minus the military uniform, Diana-like worship, and Cambridge-like popularity.

Whereas Meghan's dream was legitimately the Hollywood dream - writing, producing, acting like George Clooney or influencing like Gwyneth Paltrow or grifting like the Kardashians. She didn't want the life she had in the UK back here in the US. She wanted the life she had in Canada but with UK finances and here in the US.

And neither was willing to budge on what they wanted. That's the core root (or rot, I suppose) of why they're always failing. There's no compromise about what they want or what they're going to do.

(Contrast that with William and Kate, who have a shared plan built on compromise.)

Meghan's Merchandising: a failure from the start While everyone discusses the Logo and the Instagram page, very few have looked at what exactly Madam wants to sell.One line of business would be selling Cooking Shows. She has no training, no knowledge or experience in catering but thinks herself as a Chef who can sell shows. This area on entertainment is highly competitive and to succeed, you have to sell something original. Madam's only cooking experience was a recipe stolen from Cory Vitiello and presented as her own. What exactly is she bringing to persuade people to watch her show on a long term? She did not film a single episode to see what is her original entertaining point. Do you remember another nepo celebrity, the Beckham boy, who claimed to be a cook and the laughing stock he became?Another proposed business (of Mama who doesn't seem to know much about commerce) is selling tableware, cutlery, decorative objects, stationery, bird and pet food, and other unrelated junk and bric-a-brac. Except the pet /bird food selling which needs some veterinary knowledge, all those items listed are not subject to many repeat orders. How many cutlery and plate sets, decanters and other table and kitchen stuff can you buy? Only a few during lifetime. I am not sure how many people may want stuff with a pseudo-royal logo. I still use many of the items above, which were wedding gifts 30 years ago. How many jams, ketchup and other perishable food you can sell without reaching their expiration date? If customers don't like the taste, they will never buy again. Not to mention sugary food is avoided by people with diabetes, obesity and other health problems. To be successful in sales, you need saleable products with many repeat orders and a large customer base.Does she have a business plan and money or backers to finance the business? Madam think she can sell just by owning a luxury brand. It is not easy.Finally, does she have a business plan and financial backers for her project? Who will pay for producing, manufacturing and selling all above? Who will do it? This is Why I Don't Leave the House by @zorawitch has to be one of my most revisited and beloved fics not just for this pairing, but for this fandom ever. It's the one that actually hooked me for this ship, it's a human au but everyone is written - just spot on and it's both romantic as hell but with some serious drama too, the entire family is in this, even Despair actually gets moments to shine which is rare it seems. Dr*ml!ng is in it but very very briefly, like it's objectively the Side Pairing Where One Is On the Phone For 5 Minutes in the background for once, also contains very side (but weirdly cute) Desunity. I seriously want to turn this fic into heroin and put an IV to inject it right into my veins. I love it so much (Obviously) and you'll see why if you read it. Descriptions: A+, dialogue A+ character work A ++++.

In Places No One Will Find by starsniper explores the grief of losing Jessamy from Lucienne's POV and Gault is the Best as per usual. This broke my heart in all the best ways, it needs SO much more love.

Obliterate All Prior Things by The_KickIt_Domain is. It is one of the most beautifully written fics I've ever SEEN. Everything about the way Lucienne and Gault are written and the sense of history between them is 10/10. The yearning and the tenderness is off the charts. Definitely a favorite

Daydreams by james is a sensual and beautifully written snippet of domestic Gaulcienne and I adore it.

Beautiful by melime tender fluff with lush description.

"This is my wife..." by @honeyteacakes is just. Short but so so sweet and feels like a look into Matthew and Lucienne's bond as well as hers and Gault's relationship. They also have a bit of fun at his expense lol

Sea Changes by Cafephile FLAWLESS addition to monsterfuckertober. Gault brings back an old nightmare form with tentacles for fun and a good time is had by all:) hot and lovely.

I carried this for years plus it's sequel, I can feel the sun whenever you're near are just. *chefs kiss* absolutely great exploration of them trying to deal with their trauma and sometimes competing needs together.

Insatiable by honeyteacakes is incredibly tragically steamy and beautifully written.

Quiet in the Library by starkraving is just. MWAH. Very smutty and full of Feelings, it packs such a good punch I can't oversell it.

Just Between Us by onyourleft084 Lucienne tries to domme the Corinthian into behaving and staying in line and it works...for awhile. Honestly I don't feel like I'm selling it right though, just by that simple description. You will feel things about this and them by the end, I promise. At least I did.

I remember when this aired in 2019. I submitted an ASK @skippyv20 "I'll Take 1 for the Team." The lies made me so angry! I walked on the treadmill while watching just to keep myself from screaming "LIAR!" Today I can let the clips roll off my back because everyone sees what frauds they are as individuals and as a couple. Truly they sit on a BENCH of LIES. Unfortunately there are 3-4 additional parts floating around streaming platforms like Tubi. People who dont follow the BRF might initially accept her fictional accounts until they realize her "facts" like to evolve and change w/time. Nice try MEgain but we see you.

MM was still living with Chef Cory and they recently returned from Mexico before the launch of her Reitman's promotion. She blindsided him with the request to move out of her Suits rental (to make room for Sparry).

Meghan didn't need to get out of town, she was on hiatus from Suits, traveling to a Hen party in Greece and multiple meetings with Gina in London.

Meghan & Sperry knew one another through Markus Anderson, but she was desperate to arrange a reputable matchmaker.

Meghan contacted Violet to request a free tic to Wimbledon and work to merch for RL during the match.

Face to face she asked Violet to introduce her to Sparry. Hence the puppy dog photo. Guess that would ring a bell from their time together in Istanbul Turkey.

Meghan never wanted to be seen with Cory in public.

Violet was never MEgain's stylist in Toronto or in London! MEgain telephoned Violet to request a FREE ticket to Wimbledon in exchange for merching a black suede WINTER season RL/brand ambassador dress for the event.

honestly, Job number one for meghan should be to temper her expectations. She needed to put something out that had nothing to do with her title or her husbands family. Start a passion project, quietly visit somewhere and then keep coming back.

She's never done that. Every single times she's made the news it's because she's trash talked her husband family. That's exhausting and shes double down on it again and again. She's now known as the problem, which goes against how she desperately wants to be viewed.

She has no passions. She has no center. She built a fake persona and there's really nothing behind it.

The only authentic project she ever created as her Working Actress blog, which was basically a narcissistic, bitchy commentary on her life. That's who she really is. Everything else is something she Single-White-Female-d from someone else. The foodie stuff came from the chef boyfriend, Cory. The fashion came from Jess Mulroney. The charity was from the Talk anchor she befriended in Toronto. The princess style she stole from Kate. The Tig was outsourced.

Now that she has the resources to finally be herself she's basically a narcissistic blogger bitching about her job and family.
